Time for news
We can read a book and a Bahury
It is 7-0-1 on the East Coast, it is 4-0-1 on the West Coast.
It is the 20th of March in the year of our Lord, 2016.
Season 6, episode 31, apparently I don't know how to type in the old room here.
We're going to fix that real quick, 300.
And 35 times, this voice has welcomed you to the Clubhouse podcast live every Sunday night
on U-Stream, but we don't care how you listen, whether you're live with us, whether you're
on the archive, whether you're on iTunes.
We're glad you're here.
Welcome!
My name is Rob, I'm the executive producer of the Clubhouse podcast, and I want to say Happy
Palm, Sunday to you, I want to say Happy First Day of Spring to you, although with the
here in the Metroplex this weekend, you wouldn't have known it.
A week ago, you would have, today, not so much.
Normally, my co-host chat would be here, he is out on assignments tonight, so sitting
in the co-host chair tonight is the official fact checker of this show, and a man who
believes Spring has sprung.
You may know him as Fondongo, but his mom and I name him Don Ford, I'm going to call him
Don Ford.
Welcome, sir.
Two things.
First off, mom's birthday was yesterday.
Happy birthday, mom.
Happy birthday to mom, Ford.
Secondly, do you long as, Ben, it's been years since it's just been you mean you
do it to show without chance.
It's been a while.
We have to archive that, like, to see when the last time I had to do it, you're the
fact checker.
That's on you.
It's been a while, but hey, why did you do it?
Ben, wow.
We'll also have a guest joining us a little bit later, he's running a little bit behind, so
that's okay.
We're going to, the show must go on and the show will go on.
We start every show with corrections, and we actually have a few from last week.
We talked last week about LSU, not in the dance.
This isn't really much of a correction, as more as it is a story.
They did not make the dance, and they also declined every other tournament opportunity
they had.
They said if they weren't going to make the dance, they didn't care.
Okay.
Some kind of probably be out by now anyways.
So there's that.
Also, Florida did wind up in the NIT doing very well.
They're into the court.
I believe their court or some of my finals now.
Okay.
So as they, they beat Ohio State today.
So very excited about that.
Way to go.
I did talk about a soccer score being 9, nothing.
The correct terminology is 9, no.
No.
Yeah.
Also, WWEF New York was also known as the world.
What?
I wasn't in the things where they caught the end towards the end.
Yeah.
They was still WWE.
WWE.
And usually Chad catches this, but he didn't last week, and I referred to Toronto's hockey team
as the Blue Jays.
They are not.
They are the Maple Leafs.
I thought you said baseball.
No.
There's no baseball to talk about you.
Yeah.
We're so in spring training.
I'm trying to cover you for that.
Let us get right into NASCAR and the leader board for the auto club 400, the race
just finished.
So we're not going to have points updates for you, but we can't give you your top 10
finishers coming in 10th place and the number one Chevrolet, Jamie McMurray, Brad
Khezelowski behind him at 9th place.
Khezelowski behind the number 47 Carr AJ Olmondinger.
I think I can order one of those.
I'm in the bunch.
AJ behind back flip, Carl back flip Edwards.
He is behind Chase Elliott.
Chase Elliott behind Ricky Stinhouse Jr.
Ricky Stinhouse Jr.
Joey Lecono, your top three finishers, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, and winning the race.
Six times six times six times six times six times six times six times six time.
Sprint Cup Champion Jimmy Johnson out there in California.
Again, we do not have points updates for you because they haven't the results have got
to do with this.
They want to update the, it'll be a while.
It's going to be a minute before they update the points.
But the season's not over, so people aren't on pins and needles at this point.
Yeah.
We're not in critical mass just yet.
Yeah.
So still long way to go.
Absolutely.
I'm trying to get to you.
Hey, you know what, I want to bring something up.
Sure.
And what I think is gone, what's that milk splash?
Finney.
No, I saw some of it the super target yesterday or Friday night.
But they're taking the, the Walmart's taking it out and there's no website from now anymore.
I'm very upset about this.
I know.
Yeah.
I thought it was like you're, they're, they're Facebook pages gone, they're regular website
is gone.
We have to check see if there's like a Wikipedia page that we tell us what happened.
No, no, I've been looking.
I can find this.
This makes me sad.
I know.
Let's call our off next week as we will be next week is Easter Sunday.
Happy Easter, but part of the reason is that the holiday also, Grasty will be playing
church on the bike next Sunday at Strokers Roadhouse over on the west side.
And usually after that service, we're pretty worn out.
So we're going to take next week off.
It's very possible that we're going to be off for three weeks.
Some things are contingent.
Yes.
But definitely next week and then three weeks from today, we will be off because Grasty is
playing the gig down in deep Ellen and the profit bar April the 10th.
And that set's going to be at about 630.
So we'll just keep you posted, stay tuned to our social media.
By the way, we have Periscope now.
You can follow us at Clubhouse Show on Periscope, which is going to be very imperative
coming up very soon.
I think there's something going on April 3rd.
There's a lot contingent upon.
Yeah, exactly.
So NASCAR will actually return something.
I've got to back it up here, which you fart on the page.
On the same day, Sunday April 3rd from the Martin'sville Speedway, the STP 500, that is
not Stone Temple Pilots.
Okay.
So that's going to be your next race.
And then the week after that is a Texas weekend for the Duck Command or 500.
Duck Command or 500.
What did that get?
Duck.
That's Duck Command or the Show.
Okay, Duck Command.
Okay.
Yeah.
This is, I think, this is the goal.
STP got their name from STP.
Oh, it was a surprise.
Yeah, right.
I saw them once.
They were pretty good.
Well, not now.
Yeah.
They're a little bit different.
Years ago, yeah.
All right.
We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Speaking of entertainment, hope everybody who attended all of this weekend had a great
time.
Hopefully, while you were there, you got to check out Universal Remote.
Clay Harrison, friend of the show, Devon Pike, friend of the show, Danny Gallagher, friend
of the show, Jen Rome.
Very good friend of the show.
All participating.
Something like they had a great time.
I was otherwise occupied this weekend.
We're going to talk about that later.
Let's do some entertainment talk and talk a little bit television talk.
TV land has ordered a pilot for a television version of Heathers.
I think I saw them, Lily.
They were selling moving the 80s with Winona Rider.
It was kind of, mean girls, meets psycho.
Ah!
But they haven't forgotten about it because my mind wanted to get rid of it.
We just saw a rustic in the chat room, wanted to get rid of him.
What's up, bro?
He looks like he had some great good, some good St. Patrick's Day times this past week.
Hope everybody had a very safe St. Patrick's Day.
If you were local here on the Metro Flex, we hope you went to the parade yesterday.
You were very safe.
Very important.
So, yeah, TV land with a wearing a pilot, just don't know if this is going to work.
Yeah, because TV lands were like the anti-griiff, but no, they do a lot of original
program.
I'm just saying, but this kind of plot, this is not the family frame though.
Oh, it's talking to the TV, because this thing has been out in the ether for a while.
And very interesting that TV land has gotten the whole of it.
I may have seen this movie, maybe I did, I don't know.
Congratulations to the people at Gotham Fox has renewed them for season three.
So, that is going to be a thing.
So, yeah, I keep the detail going on.
Well, I'm two episodes behind.
I'm kind of, I'm kind of, I'm just kind of worried right now.
But shows can go into a weird direction.
I don't know if it's going to stay.
Or are they going to do the loss syndrome, or what's really, really interesting.
And it works as, hey, let's stay there for another two years.
And let's just blow it out of the water, jump the shark on your three.
Even though we got two more to go.
AMC has also renewed better call Saul.
Never saw it.
It's the spin-off from Breaking Bad.
Yeah, by the similar side.
But apparently, he uses an actual phone number in the show.
And you can call that number and you get like a voice recording of him.
Okay.
So that does kind of curve.
It's better than that 555 stuff.
Yeah, yeah.
Vikings was renewed by the history channel for season five.
I didn't know they'd been on that long.
Oh, yeah, I've been watching every episode.
So they got it right.
Yeah, I just didn't see Thursday nights.
Okay.
It's good.
It's good.
You like it.
It's brutal.
But it's good.
My wife watched the first season and then she kind of fell off.
It got real more interesting.
Oh, did it really?
Yeah, I'm going to say, well, I did minor, minor, minor sport three two one.
They went invade Paris.
I got real interesting.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's the French, what are you going to do?
But Paris was different back then.
So we got some news.
This course, this past weekend was C2, E2, I've been Chicago.
I believe it was where it is.
I don't know.
I'm sorry.
This comes from South by Southwest last week.
I apologize.
They had a, AMC had a huge set for preacher.
I don't know if you've seen the poster with the episode with the church from, yeah, yeah.
They actually had an upside down church on the, in the early, that go along with it.
Yeah.
This pay looks really good.
It is going to premiere on May the 22nd at 10 o'clock Eastern after the mid season.
Then finale of Fear of the Walking Dead.
There's going to be 10 episodes of preacher.
So giving the actors walking dead, then there's fear of the Walking Dead.
Yeah, Fear of the Walking Dead is like a prequel.
Okay.
So to kind of show you the, the, the, the, the, the in between years from the story.
So there is that also Chelsea handler.
We've talked about her very, very rarely for a reason.
She has a Netflix series, that's going to be debuting.
But it finally has a debut episode of May the 11th.
There will be new episodes every Wednesday through Friday.
So this isn't going to be one of those are dropping everything at once.
Yeah, I was going to, I want to talk because I couched a car to a chebbin, totally up.
I test up to get the new season was just drop, but, you know, they give you the whole
thing all at once.
Like Orange is the new black, everything.
There, here's the whole season.
So you have to wait week after week after week after week.
Right.
Right.
So changing that up.
Oh, let's see.
Let's see.
Like I said, every Wednesday through Friday.
So I don't know how long it's supposed to go, but it was just like a year-round thing.
Maybe it's like 10 episodes once a week.
All right.
Interesting.
Recently, we got some size stage production called All the Way.
Want to what we thought?
Subscribe on iTunes.
We would like to call that iTunes exclusive number 194.
I remember doing it.
I remember doing it.
If you're subscribed on iTunes, this could be the week.
Pending on what we screen tomorrow night's release date.
This could be the week.
Oh, really?
Yep.
Okay.
So it's either this week or next week.
So we talked about all the way.
We talked about on that iTunes exclusive that HBO was doing a movie version of it.
It's going to debut on May 21st, a trailer dropped for it today.
It is about LBJs from the day that Kennedy's assassinated until the following election day.
So the trailer went up today for that.
I wonder if that's going to follow the performance that we saw.
I've been a pretty, I think it might go a little deeper.
Really?
You don't think it's going to be like script or script.
I don't know.
I'm interested.
I need to go check out the, I haven't had a chance to check out the trailer yet, but it is out
there.
Um, this, this, this, I don't know whether it's in I was chatting with here tonight.
Chad's a big fan of the Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Chicago Medical.
They're doing a fourth series called Chicago Justice.
And it will star Carl Weathers.
Never saw any up.
Neither did I.
I watched, I watched it when they cross over with that view.
But Carl Weathers is going to be a, Apollo Creed himself.
It's going to be in this show.
So very, very interested to see that.
Well, he has a work, you know.
I mean, wasn't he?
To, he's not a lot of stuff as he, oh, yeah, that's right.
Never mind action Jackson baby.
Yeah, no, I know.
But he's done a lot of series work as well.
Okay.
Uh, the reals network.
That's with a Z if you have, I remember hearing some about them.
Uh, Russ says he was at the, that's a Choctaw.
They have a Game of Thrones slot machine.
And we might talk a little bit about some game of thrones stuff in tech talk, just
stick with us.
Okay.
But reals with a Z.
If you remember the many series, the Kennedy, a few years ago that, uh, the Katie Holmes
played Jackie O.
Uh, yeah, I didn't get into it though.
Reals is doing the follow up.
It's going to be called after Camelot.
She will return his Jackie O and Matthew Perry is going to play Ted Kennedy.
Okay.
I'm interested in to see how this goes.
Yeah, I, but there's so much, you, you still haven't got the sons of
Anarchy.
There's about 800.
I'm going to tune in.
Yeah.
I'm just saying this ought to be interesting.
For those of you that are fan speed, we just talked about Game of Thrones and a great
segue from Russ.
April 2nd is your next new episode of SNL will be hosted by Peter Dinklage.
I don't think I'll be watching that.
Why?
There's a lot going on that weekend.
I'll be DVR.
I am caught up on SNL.
Yeah.
There's some, they've had some good stuff to last couple episodes.
But the musical guest on that episode will be Gwen Stefani, who just released a brand
new album.
So we're going to see how that works out.
The killing joke, we do have a release date on that, actually not an actual release date.
It's going to be out this summer.
And it was revealed this past week that Mark Hamill will be voicing the Joker, Kevin Conroy,
will be voicing Batman.
Real quick, is this go to back in the last one?
Is this the first host on SNL?
Yeah, he's appeared on the show when he's never hosted.
This is the first official host.
Yes.
All right.
Oh, looks like we had a Batman and Superman cars at the NASCAR race today.
Killer.
Nice.
We all know who's going to win anyway.
Even though Jimmy Johnson won and I think that's right.
Do you hear that they're rebooting Zena Warrior Princess?
No.
It is going to happen and this go around there saying that the questions of Zena's preference
will be out there in the open.
If you know what I mean.
Okay.
And I think you do.
Yeah.
Also, in knowledge of shows going away and a show that we almost had to look into some
legal action for gimmick infringement, person of interest.
This next season starting in May will be its fifth and final.
So they're going into season five or wrapping up season six.
So we have preference.
Yes.
But yeah, I don't think I don't think I ever saw any of those.
I made it so wanted.
It's basically the bit is people are watching you all the time and these guys
work with the government to capture bad guys.
Yeah, maybe not one.
There's that.
Yeah.

musical awards.
And we're really looking forward to that.
We're going to give you more details as we get closer.
Email me if you would like questions, comments, concerns, tell me to go pound sand.
I am Rob at theclubhousepodcast.com.
Chad is Chad at theclubhousepodcast.com.
Oddly enough.
And I don't have what I thought I had.
Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest because we are more obligated to say that.
It's going to be crazy.
All right, let us move on to a little P.O.I. because we were just talking about persons
of interest.
Person of interest is what P.O.I. stands for.
It is a segment we do on this show where we take a person or an entity and we debate
their greatness or lack of their of.
I'm actually going to send Chad's on assignment.
I am actually going to take P.O.I. and the list this week.
This was originally going to be in tech talk and I moved it because it sparked a very
interesting conversation that I had with a friend of the show Kevin Daniels with the
movie brothers.
Okay.
He and I have been hanging out quite a bit lately and we got into this discussion
the other day and I thought this would be really good for the show.
Have you heard of something called screening room?
No, but yeah, but don't know really fair enough.
This is something that is being developed by the same guy who invented Napster, played
by Justin Timberlake in the social network.
Oh, the Shanghai or whatever.
Okay.
Here's how it works.
All right.
250 dollars you get a set top box that you put in your house.
Okay.
When new movies come out the day of release, you can stream them through this box on your
TV for 50 bucks a pop.
So this Friday of course, B.V.S. is the big release and we're going to talk about that a
little bit later.
But if I don't want to go to the theater, I can spend $50 and I can watch B.V.S. in my living room.
Now Peter Jackson, director of Lord of the Rings, Steven Spielberg, who we all know.
They are supporting this thing.
They are in favor of this thing.
So the question becomes, is this something you would be interested in?
Don.
Let me ask.
Is I want to get the full picture before?
Sure.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I don't know what time about this.
I don't want to have to be dangerous.
If Winnie, so let's say B.V.S. comes in or let's say, what's open this weekend?
10.
Cloverfield was one.
I remember right.
And Cloverfield came out two weeks ago.
But we'll take that as anything.
I've versioned series of leads.
Okay.
Okay.
So we missed that because we're previously, we were previously both set by for the screening.
I was correct.
If we go and pay 250 for the box for the front fee, we're going to pay 50 bucks and let's
roll it in.
Now, when we roll it in, number one, do we have the permission from the studios or is this
basically?
This is completely on the up and up.
So it's approved through the studio, should I say that?
No, it has to be yes.
Okay.
Then that makes one thing.
Because the studio is going to get a chunk of the money.
Just like in the box office, the longer a theater has a movie, the less they pay the
studio.
Okay.
The opening week of a film, the studio gets pretty much all of the box office receipts.
But the longer a theater carries that film, the more they'll get.
Okay.
All right.
Number two.
That's the way it works.
What's the quality and stuff?
It's going to be high definition quality.
It has to be.
If you're going to charge 50 bucks, well, they could say that.
I mean, because you know, but it's not one of these.
It's not, it's not like these places that people allegedly download movies from.
If this is going to come from the studio, it's going to be high quality.
Okay.
So it's not going to be that burn come in, you weren't talking about.
Okay.
You want, I'm interested.
I'll be honest with you.
I'm in.
And I'll tell you why.
If you, and this doesn't necessarily apply to my specific situation, but there's another
way to look at it, let's say you're married.
Let's take our friend Dave Scott, for an example.
Yeah.
Dave is married to his lovely wife.
They have, I want to get this wrong, five kids in the home right now.
If he takes the family to a movie, just to get in the door, he's paying more than 50
bucks.
And if I'm not mistaken, once you get to film, I think you haven't for either a 48 or 72
hour period.
All right.
It's not something that you keep forever.
It's like the main knowledge.
It's like the pay per view thing that came in or whatever, like on demand or whatever.
Right.
It's just like on demand.
Let me see if there's a Wikipedia page.
So I can be sure.
Basically, you're getting on demand, but you get it, opening a weekend instead, but you pay
a bigger price instead of paying the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 bucks you pay on demand, you're going
to be paying 50 bucks.
Right.
And I see your point there.
And how much will they say?
Because what?
Popcorn runs what?
20 bucks for a small popcorn now at the concession stands.
And a small sod is about $300.
You know?
So I mean, let's get up there.
But you know what I'm talking about.
Right.
But you know, if you've got a family, even a family of four, you're going to pay a
bundle one.
You're going to pay a lot more than that in the whole theatre experience.
Kevin's view on it is, you know, if it's like a...
I don't even know how to say it.
If it's like an event film, he still likes that theatre experience.
Like episode seven, or whatnot.
I'm actually pulling up an article from scene at right now.
Okay. Let's just talk about the big elephant in the room.
Okay.
We get, we are privileged enough through our integrity of the show.
And in most cases, yes, where we get to see a lot of screenings.
JJ Abrams is also in support of this.
So we got the honor and privilege to see a lot of stuff in the press screenings.
And that's a totally different experience.
And then when people go on opening weekend.
Insane.
Yeah.
Sometimes we're with the general public.
But I still, it's still, you won't see a cell phone turn on during the press screenings.
Absolutely.
And let me just correct something.
The box itself is $150.
It is equipped with anti-piracy protections.
And you have it for a 48-hour viewing period.
You know, I, I, Sean Parker is the guy.
Yeah.
The thing is, is that some people get want to see a big event movie coming out like Batman, Superman, Star Wars, whatever.
Right.
And they know on that opening weekend, there's going to be a pack theater.
You're going to have those high school kids behind you talking through the whole thing.
People bring it in 19 kids with a mirror on the cell phone.
That's stuff.
That's what we get privileged to the press screenings where we know that you turn on that cell phone.
They're gone.
And so some people may take advantage of that because they don't want to go when they've got a big, big film opening up.
And every, and they can actually enjoy the experience instead of being ruined by all the other people who have no manners during those regular, you know, movies that show at the theaters.
And also now backing it.
Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer add them to the list.
But here's my other thing.
For me, you know, Jen, I don't have kids.
But let's say Captain America Civil War.
The day it drops.
We can pay 50 bucks to watch it here at the house.
And you, you can attest.
I have a pretty good home theater system in the green room.
Better one I have.
What would stop me from having you and chat and jewels and, and Andrew or whoever come over.
Bring five bucks to chip in.
Bring something to eat and we'll all have a big schmorgas board in the green room.
That pays for itself.
Yeah.
So, and I'm also, and we talked about the event film thing and the older I'm getting.
That list is getting shorter and shorter and shorter of films that I have to go see in the theater.
Yeah.
For two reasons, one, I'm getting older.
And my, my patience is growing thinner for stupidity in the theater.
Yes.
And number two.
That's why I love the album home.
And we do love the album.
It'll get me wrong.
Because I, that's probably where I'm going to go see BVS this next weekend.
But, but number two, I have a decent home theater system.
And in some cases, my home theater system.
It's better than the average bear.
Now, I don't have Dolby Atmos in my living room.
But it's good enough that I can crank it up and throw a movie in.
In my, in my recliner.
And enjoy the movie.
Now, you know, the, the theater chains are freaking out.
Oh, yeah, because this concept, especially giving the list of backers as it has.
It's really starting to freak out the industry because this is, this is for the first time.
Somebody has really.
Kind of gotten close to making this happen.
Well, you look at what newspapers have done.
I mean, the internet has done to newspapers.
Or the weekly magazines like the news weekend time.
This may do the same thing to movie theaters.
I think there's always going to be a thing for movie theaters.
Look what iTunes has done to record stores.
Yeah.
And another thing that's I'm reading is article from CNET.
Screening room is reportedly promising as much as $20 of each 50.
That's 40% to the, to the, to the studio.
Oh, yeah.
And variety is reporting that each title will also come with two tickets to go see the film in person.
And here's the thing, movie theaters.
They make their money really off the concessions.
Absolutely, they do.
That's what they really make their money.
So if you give somebody two tickets to see the movie, they just paid 50 bucks for.
Then they're going to go and have concessions at the theater.
Yeah.
So it's interesting where this is going.
I'm far.
You know, I mean, I, I really think that this is a good thing.
Because especially you're not going to be able to keep it.
You can only stream it for 48 hours.
And to watch it again, you could go by the blue ray or stream it on Netflix or Amazon
Prime or whatever you're doing.
And some people may do this and then allegedly, allegedly, download possibly.
Well, that's already happening.
We know that.
But, you know, does, do I think that this is going to be the game changer?
Yes, I think so.
I don't think, but I don't think it's going to be a theater killer.
Because people are still going to want to go to the movies.
I think it's going to do better work for the film studios themselves.
Because you're going to have a lot of people.
It's kind of like the WWE network.
You're going to have people that wouldn't normally go to the movies
and spend that money on that ticket that are going to spend that 50 bucks.
You know, it's still a whole party here, right?
Exactly.
Exactly.
And the people that want to go to the theater are still going to go to the theater in
Drowth.
And I don't, I don't think it's going to hurt the theater business that much.
Oh, yeah.
Well, because it's going to.
But here's why.
You're going to have a lot of people that are going to pay the 150 bucks for the set.
Number two, you don't have enough people that would buy the box
and have a home theater to go with it that would be worth it.
You have a lot of people that don't see the need for a movie.
But I see that, but let's take your example where you have it all.
And you say, hey, Don, Chad, Ninja, Dave, come on over.
That's going to be about 10 people possibly that will not see the theater now
because they come over to your place.
And that's 10 people they're going to see.
Possibly sessions on.
I can see that.
But I don't trust me.
I would not.
I would.
If I have a chance to do that thing like you're talking about.
Hell yeah, because I don't want to deal with the people turn this cell phones on.
I don't want to deal with the people talking behind me and from me and all that other stuff.
You know, it's an interesting topic.
And I really am interested to see where it goes from here.
And I guarantee you we're going to be talking about it again because this story is not
over.
Especially when you have heavy hitters backing it like you do.
And I think it's going to turn into a staring contest of which studio blinks first.
Once that first big studio agrees to it, I think the other ones are going to fall into place.
Go for it.
So screening room.
Keep your eye on the news.
It's a really interesting concept.
We'll see where it goes.
That being said, let us move on and talk some basketball.
Normally I would say NBA talk, but we have basketball to talk.
To that look at the Mavericks win 132 to 120.
There's a defense in that game.
Brackets are in motion currently.
Before we get to our Bracketology updates, let's get you updated on what's been going on.
It looks like we have a final in the Western region.
I mean, double check here.
We do have a final in the Western region.
I know that was earlier today, so that's good.
But did I know that's, that's a final.
I'm trying to watch everything here.
Okay, so yes, we do have a final in the Western region.
Oklahoma over VCU 85 to 81.
So let me see what everybody did.
You picked Oklahoma.
I picked Oklahoma.
And Chad picked Oklahoma.
So everything stays the same.
The first thing we have to talk about when it comes to Bracketology.
Baylor.
What the heck, man?
I wasn't going to pick that other team, but I Yale.
Yale who has not been in the tournament since 1969.
I put the coin and I was really on the edge.
Well, I almost got them.
Yale who has never won a tournament game goes in and upsets Baylor of 12 over a five.
By the end and on now last year and days one and two combined, there were five upsets.
This year, day one alone, there were seven.
This tournament has been out of control.
Yale who reports on Friday morning that 99.99% of the brackets that people signed up had
at least one loss.
Nobody was perfect after day one.
Well, almost nobody.
This PN reports out of almost 16 million brackets that they had had submitted.
The number that were perfect after day one was just over 14,000.
Okay.
Now, do you know what the odds are for a perfect bracket in general?
No one has done it yet, but it's like the $1.9.66 quintility.
Okay.
Those are the odds.
So, I don't know if we've seen a tournament where brackets have been busted this fast.
Mine was not perfect by noon and the game started to love it.
Well, the one I submitted on the SPN is one of the perfect ones.
Okay.
But I just wanted to give you guys the money.
That was after day one.
I don't know where it sits right now.
This has been an insane tournament.
Now, all four of your number ones are still in it.
We have another year where a 16 does not beat a one and I don't know if that ever happens.
Yeah, a dead dead never has happened or a 16 beat.
It's never happened.
I don't know that it ever will.
Personally.
Now, let me give you some bracket updates because Chad and Dawn and I all have brackets filled out.
They were all filled out before the deadline.
As of yesterday, if you follow us, I update our Facebook feed and our Twitter feed.
As of last night, Dawn and I were tied for first place with Chad one point behind us.
As of right now, I have, I have 30.
Dawn has 29.
Chad has 29.
So it is still anybody's game right now.
I thought I did pretty well the first round.
I went 23 for 39.
I'm sorry, 23 for 36.
So that's a pretty good.
I mean, I missed quite a few, but I've finished strong.
So I'm 29 for what right now?
Right now, because the second round is not dead yet.
So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Seven other seven games left tonight.
Okay, I'm actually doing that good.
Wow, that's crazy.
So yeah, I mean, but that you're talking about 36 and a 42 possible right now.
Okay.
But after tonight, we'll be down in the round of 16.
That will pick back up on Thursday night.
That being said, let's go.
Let's talk about NBA.
What did you pick?
You're number one.
You can bounce that.
As who did I pick to win the whole thing?
Yeah.
Let's see.
And I think I picked Michigan or whatever.
You mix Michigan State.
And they are out of it.
What?
I'm screwed.
Yeah, they lost.
They lost.
And no, they were upset in the first round.
By middle Tennessee State.
And they were too seed.
Michigan State lost them.
They lost them a very first round of the tournament.
Oh, God.
That's like the one that biggest upsets ever then.
Well, that's a two two and 15s happened quite a bit.
Not very often, but still.
Yeah, the one 16 never happened, but that's rare.
You had Michigan State.
Oh, boy.
Chad and I both have North Carolina.
Chad had Michigan State in the elite eight.
I had Michigan State in the final four.
So.
Yeah.
But you, you are not alone, sir.
There's a lot of people that had Michigan State going a very long way.
Yeah, like the final four.
A lot of people had bailer in their final four.
A lot of people had, you know, Texas lost in the first round.
You know, Texas loses in the first round to Northern Iowa.
I actually had that.
So one of the two is when Michigan lost them, right?
No, Michigan.
Well, it's either day one or day two.
They did.
Whichever way I would.
First day one, everybody was.
It was, it was day two because I was watching the results of that.
As I was getting my haircut on Friday.
Uh, I know random, but still.
This has been a crazy crazy, crazy tournament.
And I've really been enjoying watching things develop.
And we'll keep you updated on where we are at each day after the tournament.
Make sure you're following us on Twitter at Clubhouse Show.
Make sure you check out our Facebook page.
Look up the Clubhouse podcast.
I've been updated.
This is what I love about March, man.
This though, because at the end, I'm like football.
No opinions don't matter now.
Exactly.
It's winter.
Go home.
When they go home.
At the end, there's no, well, we should have been in.
Or we should have been in.
Do you know what?
At the end of the 64.
There's no doubt who the champs are.
I'm like football.
But we go different on that.
Well, that's a different story.
Different things.
Yeah.
But yeah.
March, man, I love it.
So we'll keep you updated.
NBA standings.
Eastern Conference Atlantic Division.
All right, Dawn.
It's time for everybody's favorite game.
How bad did the Philadelphia 76ers suck?
You've made the number of wins for the Philadelphia 76ers right now.
I'm debating if they got the double digit yet.
I mean, answer.
I'm going to say 10.
You're incorrect.
Okay.
They have one nine.
Still?
They are nine and 60.
They've lost four in a row.
They're still not.
They haven't hit.
They're like nine last week.
They're 40 games back.
So they could almost quintuple their win total.
The charting at the first place last week.
They were at nine.
There's only 13 games left in the season.
I know.
But I thought maybe you might win one of them.
We get the double digits.
No.
They are 10 games back of the Brooklyn net to have lost two in a row.
Who are they are eight and a half games back of New York who's also lost two in a row.
The cell ticks have lost four in a row.
But they're still 11 and a half games up on the next.
But they're eight and a half back on Toronto.
Toronto's on a three game win streak.
In the central division.
Millawoke.
30 and 39.
They are 19 games back.
But they are five and a half games behind Detroit.
Detroit is tribe with Chicago.
They are both a half game back on Indiana.
Indiana's 13 back on Cleveland.
Cleveland has secured a playoff spot.
But have not secured the division yet.
But I believe.
I would think that the magic number for Cleveland right now.
Has to be one.
Because there's only 13 games left in the year.
Rust thought.
Boy, Rust was being real generous.
He thought he hadn't 15 wins.
So she's.
In the south east division Orlando.
They are 10 games below 500 but 11 back.
Washington wins four in a row.
So they are now three up three and a half up on Orlando.
They are five back on Charlotte.
Charlotte is a game back on my beloved heat.
Now my beloved heat is now only a half game back on Atlanta.
But Atlanta is now one five in a row.
In the western conference.
North West division.
Minnesota.
15 games below 500 but they're 40 back.
They are six and a half back on Denver.
Denver is five and a half back on Utah.
Utah is three and a half back on Portland.
Portland is 12 back on Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City still the only team to cleanse the division.
Right now with two weeks left in the city.
I've been doing a fact check.
Okay.
All right.
I'm sorry.
There's another team that has to apologize.
Okay.
Real quick.
The worst season record on a full season is actually nine and seventy three.
That was the seventy six or something.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So they might just.
You know, hey.
So it looks like.
All three of your division winners in the western conference are locked down.
So in the Pacific division, the Lakers.
You want to bet on how many Lakers have one done?
Uh, no.
Probably bad.
Is it as at least double digits.
So let's say 13.
Add one.
Okay.
11 14.
There are 48 games back in the division.
Okay.
They've lost four in a row by the way.
They're five backs on back on phonics.
The four.
Phalanx is 10 and a half back on.
It's not criminal.
Was that you?
I thought I heard the door.
But I guess it was you tapping on the desk or whatever.
I'm sorry.
Sacramento is 17 back on the clippers.
The clippers are now 18 and a half games back on golden state.
Golden state is 62 and seven right now.
Wow, they have 13 games left in the season.
So they have to go 11 and two down the stretch.
and they lost to the spurs today on the road.
Oh really, that's one of the, okay.
The spurs now writing a 45 game home win streak.
So if they only lose two more than they break the record
of the bulls.
Correct.
Okay, because 72 and 10 is your record.
In the southwest division, the New Orleans Pelicanes
are 18 games below 500, but they're 33 and a half back.
So they're out of it.
They are 10 and a half games back on the Mavericks.
The Mavericks are a half game back on Houston.
Houston, five back on Memphis,
but Memphis is still 19 and a half back on San Antonio.
So your division leaders have been solidified
in the western conference, but not the eastern conference.
So let's look off your playoff standings
as the kids like to say,
if the playoffs have started today.
In the eastern conference, if the playoffs started today.
G3456.
Seven, I need one more to see and I can't see it just yet.
So there we go.
Right now, you have a battle for the eighth spot.
Detroit and Chicago are both tied.
Right now, Chicago owns the time breaker.
But Washington's a game and a half back on them.
So that eighth spot is still up for the rap.
Yeah, you gotta go.
But if the playoffs started today,
Chicago would play Cleveland.
Toronto has also clinched a playoff spot, by the way.
Chicago would play Cleveland.
Indiana would play Toronto.
Charlotte would play Atlanta.
Miami would play Boston.
In the western conference,
one, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Right now, it's not about the eighth spot.
It's about the seventh spot.
Because you tell the odd man out right now,
they're 10 games back.
All right, they would have to go on a run to knock off Dallas and Houston.
Dallas and Houston are tied, but Houston currently has the tie breaker.
So if the playoffs started today, Dallas would play Golden State.
You'll like having that.
Sorry about your bad luck.
Houston would play San Antonio, by the way,
San Antonio's on a six game win streak.
Portland would have Oklahoma City,
who's on a four game win streak.
And Memphis would have the clippers.
Well, we two, we shouldn't play Officer 13 games.
So give her take.
It's about to get crazy.
Do you think there's 872 and 10 records going to be broke?
I think there's about a 50, 50 chance right now,
because man, that's a heck of a run there going to have to go on.
And if I'm not mistaken, they play San Antonio at least one more time.
But I think they have them at home.
So that being said, let's move on and do some music talk.
On the show, there it goes.
And again, a little bum, Chad's not here,
because we have a couple of stories about his leader tonight.
This coming week, there's going to be an auction by D standards
auctions sponsored by Princess X-Wife My Tay,
and one of his former road managers, Owen Hunsey.
They'll be some demo tapes, including an early live
version demo tape of some, sometimes it snows an April,
which is a great song.
Handwritten lyrics, musical instruments, stage costumes,
a 2.2 carrot diamond engagement ring,
and a 1959 purple acoustic Gibson guitar.
5% of all the final bids will go to our house L.A.'s camp
errand for grieving children.
So there's going to be some charity work doing that on that.
And also announced, I read today.
This is very interesting.
Princess actually working on his first memoir book, really.
Yes, it will be called the beautiful ones.
It's going to cover from his childhood
up until the Super Bowl halftime show a few years ago.
So they give an estimate of how much this is going to bring in
on this auction.
They're not sure they're hoping for seven digits.
But the Prince of Memoir will be released in the fall of 2017.
So get prepared for that kids.
I know Chad's when he finds out he's going to be
for offing at the mouth.
You think?
Let's go to one of his other leaders, and one of his daughter's
favorite artists, talking about the Michael Jackson here for a
minute.
Sony has bought out their, uh, Michael Jackson's the state
share of the company for $750 million.
Who bought it out?
Sony.
Oh, really?
Yep.
They bought it his share of the company.
Wow.
Also Dan Harmon who you might know is the show runner for many
years for community.
He's working on a stop motion animation biopic of Michael
Jackson called Bubbles that will be seen
through the eyes of his chip.
Yeah, that's happening.
And also, if you remember the story about Michael Jackson
and the be the, do you know the story, the Michael Jackson,
the Beatles catalog?
Yeah, we're originally Paul and he was offered within he thought he'd go to the
Elco and Elco says there are 20 millions too much and they'll go down and then they said
no, then Michael said, I'll buy it.
And the backstory to that is Paul had been telling Michael for years, you knew you need
to do something to solidify your legacy, something that you can invest in and he bucked
the Beatles back catalog and that caused a huge rift between them.
Well, now Paul is working on getting back that back catalog from his estate.
Oh, really?
He's thinking about buying it now.
He wants it back.
I mean, wouldn't you?
I mean, he never, he was offered to buy it, but he never did.
Because it was too much money.
Well, he thinks he could probably get a better deal now.
Well, no, I have what I read when I looked into this is he wanted to go on with
the Elco to be fair to John, right?
And they're offered 20 and he's like, let's do it, but Elco goes, oh, no, that's too much.
They'll bring it down a little, let's wait.
And then when they said, no, then Michael swooped in and bought it.
Right.
Matter of it.
And the first thing he did, he will buy it.
And the first thing he did was sell the rights to revolution to Nike.
And that just upset them wholeheartedly.
Yep.
Jay Z has removed all of his blueprint albums from streaming services except for title.
And reason it's on titles because he partly owns title.
So this whole streaming service thing is getting weird.
What do you mean by streaming services?
Things like Spotify.
Yeah, it was on music.
It's just above my head sometimes, but yeah.
But basically, it's just where you can actually create like one thing about like
Pandora, you can say, you know, Don, I know that you're a big fan of Jimmy Buffet.
Yeah, so you can go on a service like Spotify or or Pandora and say, I want to create
a Jimmy Buffet channel.
And what that channel will do is it will play you Jimmy Buffet music.
Okay.
Now, it'll throw other artists that are similar to him in, but if you don't like it,
you can hit a dislike button and that artist will never play again.
Okay.
Now, if you only get a certain number of thumbs down per month, unless you pay a premium
and then you can just download them down.
Now, the other thing that like, like, I know Spotify can do is if you create a playlist,
you can download that playlist so that you can listen to it offline, but you can't listen
to it through iTunes or anything else.
Okay.
No, you don't own those songs, but you have them so you can listen to them anytime.
Yeah.
Well, yeah, it's above my head.
I knew you said, but I mean, it's he pulled them at Talqa with Napster.
No, it's because he owns part of title.
Yeah.
So he wants people to buy memberships and title because it puts more money in his pocket.
Yeah.
But removes all of his, but it's, and it's not from Napster was a service where you could
download a song and you own that song.
With streaming services, you don't really own that song, you're just, you're basically
creating a radio station that doesn't have commercials if you pay $80 a month or whatever.
Something like that.
And even if you do have a, they play one commercial like every three songs.
It's not like radio, where you get two songs, then 12 minutes of commercials.
It's all the time.
Oh, quick fact check.
San Antonio second, the last game with Golden State is in Golden State on April 10th.
That's what I thought they had one.
Second, the last.
So there's only one game I can say.
Okay, good.
No, ATT Center, a wake game, no, that's a way in the in San Antonio.
That's in San Antonio.
Yeah, yes, okay.
That's it.
Just in Timberlake, this past week, it's a very interesting news.
I do love this song.
Put's out a picture of him and himself and Farrell in the studio hanging out, which
has fueled rumors of some new music, but as we know, Russ as he has Pandora on Direct
TV, which he had there, their sponsor, their music.
Farrell, one of the judges on the voice, this could be a deal where Timberlake's just
doing a guest spot for him.
We don't know for sure.
I'll be whatever.
But after those last two albums, I'm ready for some more new stuff because this kid,
this kid, whatever he touches, turns to go.
So I don't want this song called Take Back to Night, and it distracts me on what
this whole thing.
Okay.
We've also got your headliners for Lala Paloosa this year.
Wow.
Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Sound System.
I could name you more than two songs from one of those groups, and it's the one in
the middle.
I know who all three are, but get off my lawn.
But anyway, I feel like I've been to a couple of hospice and enjoyed it.
It's kind of fun just to see a whole different array, and even see some local bands
actually get a chance to perform in public and more than 10 people, but it's kind
of cool.
Alright, so let's get on and do a little bit of talk about music, new releases and places
you get, music, new releases.
This Friday banned for the kids with the clothes in the hair, asking Alexandria, releases the
black.
Because, you know, they like to uplift the kids.
Yeah.
Name a shell, releases more issues than Vogue, I like to title of that, that's the reason
I put it on there.
She's an R&B artist.
Okay.
Zayn Malik, formerly of one direction already has this full album available, this week
it's going to be called Mind of Mine, and this guy, oh, I'm very excited about this.
I'm a huge fan, I'm about to kick you.
This is Joe Bottomasa.
This is Joe Bottomasa.
Let's do album is called Blues of Desperation.
I like this guy a lot.
This song specifically.
Yeah, has a good riff to it, it's called Blue and Evil, this one from his album Black
Rock.
Really talented kid.
It's probably close from my age, cool and kid, but sometimes in music, we aren't fair enough.
Let's go ahead and go to Immemorium, three deaths this week, we're going to start with
the death that happened on Wednesday, Francis Wayne Frank Sinatra Jr. passed away.
He was actually the son of Sinatra and Sinatra's first wife Nancy Barbados Sinatra.
He was born of course in Jersey City.
He was technically not a junior, but he was known as Junior throughout his life.
He ever saw his father, his father wanted the name of after FDR, who was president
and really.
If you remember, he was actually kidnapped in 1963.
Had Harris, like Tahoe, was released two days later after his father paid the $240,000
ransom.
Did ever catch the guy that did it?
They did.
Barry Keenan, Johnny Irwin, and Jane Ant Joe, Amesler were soon captured, prosecuted, convicted
of the sentence to long prison terms, but they only served small portions of it.
But the Keenan was the mastermind and he was actually found to be legally insane at
the time.
Let's see what else happened.
By his early teens, he was performing at local clubs and venues.
He did a lot of things, but yeah, after his father died, he did a lot of touring.
He was actually touring when he passed away.
Oh, he was found in a hotel room.
At the age of, he was 72.
So also passing away, and this is a little more obscure, but I think you might know who
this is.
Larry Drake.
Does that name mean anything to you?
Yeah.
What do you know about?
How many long?
He was on L.A. Law.
I remember him more as the bad guy in, if you remember Dark Man.
Okay.
He was also Dr. Giggles in that movie.
Yeah.
It's true.
He was also the voice of pops on Johnny Bravo.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Okay.
I remember from L.A.
Wow, that's a big thing.
It was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 21st, 1949.
His dad was a drafting engineer for an oil company and his mother was a homemaker, graduate
of the University of Oklahoma, but he played Benny on L.A. Law.
They actually did a reunion movie in 2002, where he returned to the role.
He was married once for two years.
He was found.
He passed away the age of 67 on St. Patrick's Day.
Also, the other one for this week, do you remember Joe Santos, does this name mean anything
to you, sir?
Yeah.
I know him more from the sopranos.
He was on the sopranos, but his big thing was the Rockford Files.
Exactly.
Pass away at the age of 84 this week.
So this guy had a good run.
He was born in Brooklyn.
He played football at Fordham University, even turned semi-pro.
He was real good friends with Al Pacino, and that's what got him in acting in 1971 movie
Panic in Needle Park.
He played L.A.P.D. Sergeant and later Lieutenant Dennis Becker on the Rockford Files.
He was also in hard castle in McCormick, if you remember that show.
Wow, what's that?
Hard castle.
So the guy with that had the really cool car.
Okay.
The coyote.
He had a t-shirt.
I had it on that one as a kid.
From 78 to 80, he was on the match game.
He always sat in the top left seat.
He was all usually the comic foiled of Brett Summers.
He still loved that show.
I love it.
Had a heart attack last week at the age of 84.
So, any, any, any, is already missing on that?
No, unfortunately, he did start in the postman, but maybe that's the one he regretted.
I guess.
Probably.
And we'd better start.
I remember that one too.
I remember they tried to make Blue Thunder into a television series that failed, but I
don't care where they're laying out, but I've also heard they're remaking Blue Thunder.
Oh, God, no.
Because, you know, let's, yeah, let's kidnap Roma.
That's what you do.
It's in Red Dawn and Stupid Ghost Movie.
You know what?
I'm a preserving judgment on Ghostbusters.
I really, really am.
Well, but I'm, and I'm talking about like the Poltergeist, you know, oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, Poltergeist.
Yeah, Poltergeist is rough to get through, not going to debate that.
You know, worse to the year.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
Let us move on and talk a little bit of the hockey of the ice.
Shall we?
Let's do it.
Get into your, into your standings, because just, again, a couple of weeks left in the hockey
season.
I still hold for my pants, not much, but we got about 10 deans left in the season.
In the Atlantic, division of the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Yeah, let's get the right.
Certainly in the seller with 61 points.
They are 38, 28 points behind, so they are out there.
They are 7 points behind the Buffalo Sabrays.
The Sabrays are 4 back on the Montreal Canadiens.
Oh, oh, oh.
Montreal is 4 back on Oderwa, Oderwa 7 back on Detroit, and what do we know about Detroit
Don?
They stink.
Oh, wow.
That's not the right word.
Go ahead.
They suck.
Detroit.
And Bruins are 1 back on Tampa Bay, and my beloved lightning are 2 points back
on my beloved Panthers.
And what is the other division in the Eastern Conference now?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
The Columbus Blue jackets, did you ever look up their alternate logo that we were talking
about last week?
No, no, no.
It's like a cannon.
It was pretty cool looking.
I was very impressed with that.
Yeah.
Okay, believe me.
Columbus has 66 points.
They are 41 points out of first place.
Think they're mathematically out.
Yes, sir, they are.
Let's see, 9 points back on the Devils.
The Devils are 1 back on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Hurricanes, 4 back on Philly, Philly is 5 back on the Islanders.
The Islanders are a point behind your beloved Pittsburgh pigments, sir.
Now, my pants.
The pens are 2 back on the Rangers, the Rangers.
Now, remember we said that Columbus was 41 points back.
The Rangers are in, above all, your, your pins have 1, 5 and a row.
Yeah, no.
Oh, Russ says that Joe Santos was also in Kung Fu Panda 3.
What is he?
I missed that.
Wow.
The Rangers with 88 points are still 19 points back on Washington.
So the capitals have secured a playoff spot.
Now, how many, how many, my, my pants are pretty well in my life.
Your pens are 3rd in the Division, right?
Yeah, so they should be okay.
Considering about your being your dog, it's in.
In the Western Conference Pacific Division, the Edmonton Oilers, 65 points, they are 28
points back.
Okay, the blue jackets.
It's, it's over the cannon on it.
Oh, the cannon.
Oh, that looks pretty cool.
I'm impressed by that.
But for a hockey thing, I like to, this is a cannon.
Edmonton is 1 point behind the event.
Cooper.
Vancouver's tie with Calgary, Calgary, and Vancouver, both 3 points behind Arizona.
Arizona is 17 points back on San Jose.
So your top three in the Pacific Division, it's a pretty tight race.
San Jose is 1 point behind Anaheim.
Anaheim is 4 points back on the loss of Angela's Kings who have 1, 4 in a row.
LA has clinched a playoff spot.
And in the central division, it's didn't kind of crazy.
The Winnipeg Jets, whose logo I also really like, they have 64 points.
They are 31 points back on the lead.
They are 13 points back on the Minnesota wild, Minnesota 1 back on Colorado, Colorado
7 back on Nashville.
Here's where it gets interesting.
Nashville is 5 back on Chicago.
Chicago is 3 points behind St. Louis St. Louis.
Now 2 points back on the Dallas stars who are holding off their competitors right now
with some key injuries they have 1, 2 and a row.
So the stars are trying to make a run here.
You think they will, or will they get a crash in burner if they get in there.
They're going to get caught.
I think that if they can get, let's see, they've done 64 games.
They've played 73 games.
Okay.
They've got 9 games left.
I think if they can win so their 2 points back, the magic number right now, I think sits
around 8 points.
So 4 wins would get them in for sure.
So hockey getting it done, especially in the Western Conference.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast where live every Sunday night.
We do want to remind you to check out cars for Kasa coming up
May the fifth.
That's not a good way.
You guys are doing that thing.
Well, we're just, we're just promoting it.
They haven't asked us to do anything yet, but we're helping pro.
Because friend of the show, Mr. Varsalone, who we love dearly, this is one of her, one
of her passion projects.
And we want to get everybody out to rock wall, Texas, if you're out that way.
Cars for Kasa may the 15th I believe is the deal on that, but I don't have the picture
in front of me.
I thought I saved it to my, to my hard drive, but I don't think I did.
So I'm going to have to do that.
There's going to be a class at car show, there's going to be live entertainment out
there.
There's going to be all kinds of things going on.
They do this every year out at the, at the harbor.
And all the proceeds benefit Kasa, which is a charity that helps take care of kids that
have come from abusive homes.
So this is a very, very important thing.
Go out there, have some fun, see some awesome cars.
If you have an awesome car, you can enter it and win prizes.
Coming up in May, we're going to give you more details as that gets closer, because we're
big fans of those kids.
All right, let's combine sports and entertainment, talk a little pro wrestling, big
story to kick off wrestling, talk tonight, whole Cogan.
I get notification on Friday that the defense has rested their case, it's out to the
jury Friday morning.
After lunch on Friday, the jury's already back on Friday, so in the, in the, the lawsuit
that Hogan has a, no, not even within the same day, yeah, that's from the same, but in
hours.
Yeah.
Against Gocker, who if you remember, Gocker released the sex tape that Hogan had
made with Bubba, the love sponge is wife at the time, that's a real dirt bag.
Yeah.
The jury awards Hogan, 115 million dollars, and they may not be done, the jury is
reconvening this week, I'm sorry, I'll give this week or next week, to decide punitive
damages.
And hundreds of teens just actual, that's just the just the lawsuit itself, actually
a punitive damages could reach a billion that this website has to pay away, a billion
dollars.
Now, on the other side of that coin, WWE is working on a new film, the name of it escapes
me currently, but Hogan is really heavily featured in the first 15 minutes of it, they
filmed it a few years ago, they've had to go back and read edit the film to get him out
of there.
So they actually get that.
They're there.
I read it today.
They are crisp and why him.
Pretty much.
It's, it's crazy.
Yeah, it's, yeah, yeah, now let's let's also talk what's coming up next Sunday or two
weeks away.
We're two weeks away from WrestleMania.
WrestleMania is going to be a long day because you know you're going to have your
two-hour pre-show, right, where they're going to do the Andre Memorial Battle Royale.
What's two hours on the pre-show now for WrestleMania it is, so it's not only that,
it's actually going to be the pre-show's going to be on USA.
It's still going to be on the network, but if you don't have the network, you can watch
the pre-show on USA, as well as YouTube and some other places.
And then you get the official show start at which is a six-central, which is four hours.
So that's six hours.
Then you're going to have a one-hour post show after WrestleMania.
So WrestleMania days are going to be seven hours of programming live.
Is this super-bullying it now?
Oh, they've been doing this.
I mean, they've been calling it the super-bullying of sports and everything.
But if you get the point, know where they have, the super-bullying has a 22-hour pre-show
and, you know, we're getting closer.
Yeah.
We're getting closer because if you want to include the Hall of Fame, which is different
story.
And you want to include NXT takeover Dallas and you want to include all this time.
It's, it's a thing for sure.
Oh, there it is.
Oh, no.
I mean, take a deep breath.
We were hoping against Hope that we could have.
So it is announced rumors start flying on Wednesday this past week.
It was officially verified on Friday.
Stings neck issues have taken him to a point where he has to retire.
This is a sad day for me to talk about this because if you've listened to this show once
in your lifetime, or you've known, if you've known me for long enough, when I used to
write a wrestling column for places like the Ringside Insider and for Locostuff.com, I am,
I am the huge esteem mark that I know.
Really?
I love sting.
He is my favorite wrestler at my time.
To be at the day where he retires, somewhat are you, maybe a little too late?
I would argue that his work in the last couple of years would counter that much like
AJ.
I think it's a matter of the environment that you're in.
I'm looking forward to seeing him being inducted into the Hall of Fame by Rick Flair.
Because if there's only one other guy that could do it, if it's not Flair and that
would be steamboat.
Those would be the only two people that I would, or because I don't think you'd get
looser to do it.
I could not.
I mean, I'm happy for sting that he's retiring, but I'm sad for me that sting is retiring.
Because his run was so with the WWE.
I know.
But this week, the WWE is going to release the documentary that they did for him on DVD
a couple of years ago.
They're going to be airing that this week, the new episode of Beyond the Ring is going
to feature sting.
I'm kind of hoping maybe he's in Shane's corner for the match.
Here's, you take his physical well-being right now.
Let's say the streak was still there.
And they did the dream match, you know.
I know, don't keep it started.
Do you think that he would still hit the ring at Mamia if it was the taker and I think it
would happen?
But, you know, he had a heck of a run and I couldn't be happier for him.
But I mean, on the other side of that, I don't know if you heard this, did you watch
the Jericho Neville match on the right?
How awkward that ending was?
Yeah.
It was because Neville fractured his ankle and his shin bone, not going to require surgery
but he's out for up to two months.
So there's another guy on the shelf, or the rock apparently is calling his own show
for WrestleMania.
We're going to talk about his own here in a minute.
The rumor is the rock is going to be in Roman Reigns corner for the real title match.
That's the rumor.
But I don't know what else he's going to do.
Well, they made a big deal about him being at WrestleMania in a win and all he was
a 10 minute promo.
Yeah.
You know, at the beginning, you know, but there's that.
And an interesting rumors that are flying around because you noticed we haven't had a
celebrity with a celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame this year.
They were talking possible even more Cuban.
But here's who they're talking right now.
Give it a minute.
It's the Snoopy Dog Dog.
They have one in Colorado do it there because you can really celebrate if it's in Denver.
But yeah, they're talking Snoopy Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog Dog.
Even two because he's done a couple of things in the ring where he took our chaos from
Orton and stuff like that.
So I can see Mark Cuban as a celebrity.
There's still talk possibly if it's who's that guy who tagged with Oliar and
just stand hand stand hands and he's going to be the one and out tomorrow night from
Okay, because then that's Jack Olin last week.
Yeah, with Stan hands and what did I think we're getting ripped off this year as
I remember all these years where they do the Hall of Fame and they talk about the prepo being
inducted and they give a five minute little thing about it.
Now it's just like
Yeah, Jackie's going on there's like not even they were doing the super stars and stuff that is
Yeah, it's good point.
I hate that it's just like still get I mean give them the big five minute thing.
You're still going to see at the whole thing, you know, I I had to make some extra
The see the like three or four minute one for the free books, you know, or they
You know, I'm hoping that they'll do that at the Hall of Fame.
Of course, they always do, but just how this year they've been oh teams in the next
Jacqueline.
Okay, you got that it was always a different media outlet every week Fox 4 to now today.
He has been in them.
We'll show the five minute things that I agree with you.
It's earned it.
They earned three minutes instead of you know, Michael Cole talking about whatever, you know,
He's not telling me how to download man.
Yeah, exactly.
All right, let's get in a row.
Okay.
I'm calling this now and I think it happens at WrestleMania.
Okay.
I mean, notice anything about some car lately.
Yeah, he's like, they're not wearing those, let's take it away and black all black.
He'll turn WrestleMania.
I'm calling it.
Okay.
What's his face against Cali stuff?
Yeah, I know.
Okay.
He's going to cost Calisto them the match.
So you think, uh, what's the Lucha Dragons may be no more in two weeks?
And I'll be sad because I like the Lucha Dragons.
I like Lucha.
Lucha.
Lucha.
We're going to happen to the most man at Doris, so they like, gone.
We heard they were phasing him out.
I mean, they really been phased up.
I hated them.
And what was up with that Burger King promo?
Yeah.
Burger King has hot dogs.
So let's talk about the junkyard dog and the road dog.
I'm like, really?
Really?
Really?
Oh.
Can they just try it?
Is he the same people that are writing King's lines?
Is that what's going on here?
You know, there is what they call subliminal advertisement in movies, or they'll put like
the board blatant.
That's not even so long.
That's his blasts.
I'm saying it movies is bad enough, but on this, hot dog, hot dog, hot.
You know.
I'm sorry.
I'm not buying a hot dog from Burger King.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah.
It's hard to find hot dogs.
I mean, Burger King.
I mean, what's the slow?
Yeah.
What did he do?
He'd go with this.
And are we just rehashing Jericho's original heel run from WCW?
Why didn't they rehashed on him?
It's just, it's like his original heel run again.
It's weird for me.
He's been in a couple of times.
And Vince disown Shane, right?
Yeah.
He's still calling him son.
He's not like he's even doing a treat like like what's up son?
Like he's calling him a son.
You've already disowned a Vince.
Stay in the storyline.
Do you really think that happened?
And didn't we just redo the Vince take a bit from two weeks ago last week?
Outside of the choke slam?
That's not the end of the show.
The way they're booking this thing is just weird.
And I'm still convinced that it's not going to be Shane in the cage.
So I mean, there's going to be shenanigans.
And I've got a week still.
I actually got a week still.
Yeah.
I'm always, I've been a week ahead of myself.
I'm going to go next week as Easter and then the rest of the week after that.
But I still don't think Shane makes it to the cage.
There's just something or he's in there.
There's shenanigans coming because there's no rules or anything and someone comes out
from under the right.
Cause I have therapy.
Okay.
I know we're talking about doing something extra to talk about wrestling.
We are.
That is in the fighting stages to be recorded next week sometime.
Okay.
Biggest wrestle mania at the biggest indoor.
They want to break the world of 10th record and this car we're getting right now.
But a lot of that you're dealing with a lot of injury right now.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm not excusing it.
I'm just saying there are mitigating factors.
I understand.
But instead of having Ambrose and Reigns, you got that was weird to me.
Ambrose is out of it.
Okay.
I can see this car for wrestle mania.
Is it getting bad like New Jersey bad?
Remember how New Jersey bad it was?
I just, I don't know.
Could also what you know, you know, this song means big news dude.
Big news come down yesterday from a TNA standpoint.
First of all, Drew Galilee's your new TNA champion.
If that tells you anything.
But two guys have left the company.
Bobby Roode and Eric Young are done.
Bear money had a long run.
Just like the one I two ate.
Wait.
Did you notice where the tapings were after their last matches?
Yeah, we're Lando.
Now Bobby was shown on a flight back home today on Twitter.
But I would not be surprised to see Bobby Roode show up on NXT.
The free agents.
What about NXT Dallas and what did Stormry sign with Stormry sign with what he thinks is going to be a lot of money with that.
That's right.
Think he could have had beer money in NXT.
And I think Eric Young would be a great, I mean, Bobby would be an NXT then go to the in roster.
But I think Eric Young would be a solid leader for NXT.
Storm, I think every credit, maybe.
Or, you know, does, does, uh, would Eric Young be better certain in our way?
Possibly our way, but do you know what?
You can imagine bringing beer money in the WWE.
It would revitalize the tech division.
But, who am I?
James Storm.
I'm just a dude.
They're maybe a split announced team for WrestleMania.
You may have both.
You may have friends.
No, no.
Yeah.
You may have your boy more or more.
No.
Maybe there.
No.
Yeah.
There's talk of it.
Nothing solid yet.
Did all his world have a son.
And then we want to add more to the injury list.
Bray Wyatt apparently has been dealing with some serious back issues, which is why he didn't
really participate in the match at roadblock.
Of course.
So.
But I, they're trying to think to you.
We'll wrestle at Mania.
I don't know.
He's not scared.
He doesn't have an opponent.
Yeah.
And it looks like the other three are going to be in the battle royal along with the entire
social outcast.
Yeah.
Probably going to be that other group that's the League of Nation.
No, no.
No.
They're going to tag title shot.
I think the tag titles are going to be on the free show, too.
They're going to put some.
This card is not impressive because remember our press conference we did, which is on
our social media and stuff.
Now they're just going to blow the card away and everything like that.
Remember?
But the roster was so much deeper, but still, there's so much more they could be
doing.
Well, there's time.
There's two weeks for them to come up with other stuff.
I'm getting worried.
So.
And talking about your boys Cesaro, they are saying that he will be ready to come back
middle of next month.
So you might see him at the raw that I'd have to wrestle Mania.
I still want to have heard anywhere, I've not heard anywhere on Tyson kid though.
That's a really good tag team.
Oh, yeah.
They got some stuff going.
So.
But if I hit, oh man, I just a couple of notes on SmackDown.
I do like Becky Lynch's new shirt.
I don't know if you saw it or not.
Yep.
100% bad last.
Interesting.
I'm getting a little bit, they get her a little bit more every week.
I know what's hard.
And is the new day trying to beat Austin for the most number of shirts in the here.
Because they had another one on SmackDown.
Or Cena.
Yeah.
Well, at least see that we wear them for a couple of months.
Like the new days come out with new shirts like every week.
I mean, and this one just says new day rocks and it has a picture of hands clapping
on it.
It's.
But we got the videos.
Oh, good lord.
You have to unit them.
I'm sorry.
They're going face to accept it.
I know.
But when they.
They're so much better.
I see heel when they insult, you know.
I mean, as much as I love them.
I mean, the terrible towel thing.
They wouldn't do that as faces.
Okay.
But yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
They wouldn't do that as faces.
And that's what really gives them the heat.
Anything else you want to do in wrestling talk for?
We move on to movie talk.
We're not.
Although, please don't put it on.
Okay.
Yeah.
We're not.
Oh, moral.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not.
From our friends at box office mojo.com, let's talk box office numbers dropping out of the top 10 this week.
God's of Egypt drops from 9 to 11.
God.
Brother, it hasn't broken 30 million.
It was a budget was 140.
Yeah.
Reason drops from 10 to 12.
Also does not live up to budget.
Actually, no, it has exceeded budget.
I apologize.
34.4 million on a 20 million dollar budget.
And the young Messiah after a week drops out.
It's made 5.4 million dollars.
I don't have a budget on that.
Hello, my name is Doris.
By the way, since it went wide this week, went from 42 to 14.
Thank you for them.
And in anomalies, I got a nice little boost because it went from 63 to 18.
In 10th place this week, up from 11th, the revenue back in the top 10, even though it lost
in 68 theaters.
It makes 1.2 million dollars, 13 weeks, $181.2 million dollars, $135 million dollar budget.
Dropping from 8 to 9 this week in a free fall for Sasha Baron Cohen.
The brothers, Grimsby, $1.4 million dollars, two weeks.
It has not broken $6 million dollars.
I do not have a budget.
I remember that was $100 million dollars.
I remember I put that in last week.
Dropping from 6 to 8 this week in its second week.
The perfect match.
There is a review for that up.
If you go to our partnered up show, the movie brothers.
You can look them up at the movie brothers BRUTHAS.com.
They have a video review up for that.
$1.9 million dollars, two weeks, $7.3 million.
Whiskey Tango Fox Trot drops from 5 to 7 this week.
$2.8 million dollars, three weeks, $19.3 million, $35 million dollars budget.
That may have to have a second life on TVD and blue right.
London has fallen drops from 4 to 6, $6.9 million dollars,
$3 weeks, $50 million dollars, $60 million dollar budget.
It might make it.
That's still good.
Yeah.
We also like to call that iTunes exclusive number 1993.
I could look that one up for a minute.
Deadpool drops from 3 to 5, but still in the top five after six weeks,
another $8 million dollars, six weeks, $341 million dollars,
$58 million dollar budget.
That's just domestic.
They're killing it.
It's on iTunes two kids.
And that was what we like to call iTunes exclusive.
Where is it?
Number 183.
Deadpool Worldwide right now.
$730.7 million dollars.
Doing very well.
Dropping from the silver medal to fourth place this week is 10
Clover Field Lane.
$12.5 million dollars, two weeks, $45.2 million dollars.
I don't have a budget.
Dawn, you got to check this out.
Would you think?
I was really surprised.
I really liked the plot on this.
There's a lot of twists and turns you don't see coming.
And it will lead you one way and turn you another way,
which don't see a lot.
Goodman wasn't credible.
Good, I know you say, you know, you're good.
Goodman's great.
But no, no, he hit it this time.
He played a role like I've never seen him before.
I would recommend it twilight,
possibly, or even a little bit plus.
Okay.
Yeah.
I didn't have to have the Clover Field Lane on it.
No, but it, it,
I could see why, but I don't want to give the plot away.
Okay.
Fair enough, fair enough.
I really enjoyed it though.
Goodman hit it on this one.
Incredible job.
A small cast.
It's only basically three people.
Okay.
They viewing in the bronze medal position this week.
A movie that we didn't get to screen because we were otherwise booked.
And we apologize for that to our friends at Allied.
Miracles from heaven.
Fifteen million dollars.
It opened on Wednesday.
So you've really include the Wednesday numbers.
A 18.6 million dollars on a 13 million dollar budget.
So congratulations to Jennifer Garner and the crew over there.
They're debuting in the silver medal position.
The diversion series, a legion,
29 million dollars lowest debut for any of the three of them.
Really?
I don't have the budget.
Well, there really haven't been pressing that too much.
Compare like they did the other one.
They just kind of hit didn't.
Yeah.
And winning the weekend again.
Something we like to call iTunes exclusive number one 92.
Zootopia.
38 million dollars more.
The word amount.
Three weeks two hundred and one point eight million dollars.
That word amount has been keeping that thing up there.
It's a wonderful film.
Loved it.
Wonderful.
Start the finish.
May make a list.
All right.
Dot.
I know you can't wait for this first headline.
So let's talk about it.
And halfway and Gary Marshall have said we are getting the Princess Diaries free.
Did they do win it to?
Yeah.
I never saw you there.
I saw the first one.
Okay.
Second one.
Boy, I've been pins in the ocean that one.
Yeah.
I mean, it'll probably make a bit of a joke in dollars.
Yeah.
It's Disney.
Yeah.
As we talked about last week, Netflix is doing a series of unfortunate events.
With a lot of many SNICKET series.
Let many SNICKET will be voiced by Patrick Warberg.
Really?
Yeah.
I'm a fan of the Warberg.
Oh yeah.
And then this came down on, I think Wednesday or Thursday.
And I don't.
Yeah.
Get ready.
July 19th, 2019.
Spielberg and Harrison Ford will be doing Indiana Jones.
Five.
Yeah, he doesn't.
The session.
For Jared's all.
He doesn't crash anything.
I can't play.
Or fall from bed.
Or wherever.
Or wherever.
There's something.
There's something.
I'm going to be some, uh, met a meal so far I got along.
I got to get my whip out there.
And then I'm just going to make sure we find the sort of acts before four o'clock.
I got to get the early bird.
I got to get the loobies.
And it's the same guy that wrote Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Oh no.
No.
It's the same writer.
Do we learn nothing?
Maybe he learned this lesson.
I.
If I were Charles Barkley, I would say that's the little turbo.
No, Rimbabwe.
It's a knuckle here.
It's.
Oh.
She makes.
There's something I hate.
And in news that's is going to depress Chad horribly.
Eat and Cohen, not Ethan Cohen.
Eat and Cohen.
The guy that directed get hard with the Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.
Yeah.
Is directing a remake of the Cannonball run?
And who's going to star in that little gem?
They have not put any casting out yet.
Oh.
I guess.
Why?
Why?
Why?
You asked earlier.
Why are they doing that?
Oh, and let me one up you.
Michael Mann, who directed the terrible Black Hat last year.
It has decided he's going to revive things.
He's doing a heat prequel.
What a prequel to heat.
Michael Mann is.
Yes.
Okay.
He did the first one.
He did heat.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we could give him that.
Okay.
I don't want to prequel.
I don't need a prequel.
The movie's great on its own.
I don't care about the characters before the movie.
I care about what happened in a movie.
Well, we never know.
I'll give him that because he was a very good film.
You got to admit that.
He wasn't pregnant.
I'm saying he was great.
I don't need to know what happened before it.
I don't need preheat.
That's what they should call it.
Call it preheat.
Then you might have something.
Or I see hot.
Oh, Guy Richie and Brad Pitt.
I have a cannonball around.
Are you serious?
Yes.
That's the three minutes ago as per colander.com.
Wait.
But Guy Richie won't be directing because eating cones directing.
Just saying that's what they had seen, right?
Maybe Guy Richie's writing the script or something.
Uh, what's one of the brawns?
Well, say something I am excited about.
Simon Pegg is going to be in ready player one.
Oh, really?
Yes.
I'm still trying to get through that book just because I haven't had a lot of time to read.
But I've read about the first 30 pages and it's really good.
It's going to be interesting to see how they get the rights to all these references.
They put in this film.
But, you know, the big Simon Pegg fan.
Yes.
They're saying eating cones going to directed new cannonballs, what they're saying.
Then what's Guy Richie doing?
Maybe stars, burnt Reynolds character.
I don't know.
Guy Richie's not of that.
He's a director.
Well, I don't know, but they're talking.
That's three minutes ago.
No, no, no, no.
I mean, I'm trying to read it.
You might be writing it.
Yeah.
Maybe.
Hold on.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Please don't.
Go ahead.
Just saw a hold on.
Yeah.
Be waiting over here, dude.
No.
Uh, hold on.
Guy Richie.
This.
This.
Nothing.
Hold on.
Of course.
Don reads like Harrison Ford talks.
I just.
Uh.
Uh.
Well, he reported once the.
Well, he wants Ben Stiller.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Uh.
Ben St.
But.
That's.
That happened.
Uh.
Oh.
Oh, we should chat with here.
What's what says?
Let's talk some Star Wars stuff, please.
Can we get out of this?
Yeah.
I don't know if you read this story this past week down.
This is a great story.
This is great.
I'm all of a sudden, Jim Rome.
Uh.
Hold on.
Produced by Richie and Pit.
All right.
Yeah.
They want Steelers.
There is a young man by the name of Kevin Carlock from Davidson College.
He sends Daisy Ridley a video.
Or a letter.
I'm sorry.
An invitation to to Daisy Ridley from episode seven to join him for his spring formal.
So she actually sends a picture.
We're half of her faces covered in the other half as a note.
I'm going to read you word for word what the note says.
Okay.
Thank you so much for that brilliant invite to your formal.
Unfortunately, I'm locked in an intense staring competition with Luke Skywalker somewhere in the middle of a galaxy.
So I won't be able to make it.
Let me know how it goes.
Have fun.
Wow.
Yeah.
I was like, well, played.
That was an interesting.
An interesting.
In news that something that you're interested in.
Yeah.
Dillon O'Brien.
Maze Runner.
He has been seriously injured on the set of the film of the third one.
You know what?
I've loved the first one.
That second one just hit the.
Didn't do it.
Oh, it's horrible.
Okay.
I forgot to put like on my worst of the year.
But he said that he's the director said he's going to recover.
He feels terrible.
But he is going to.
Yeah.
Part two if I would have sought in that previous year.
I would make my top 10 of the worst.
Really?
Yeah.
Because I saw them DVD or whatever.
So yeah.
It was not.
That's like the one.
Oh.
We are currently being joined by 100 of the battle cat.
Yeah.
Hey, good boy.
He's been hanging out my office quite a bit last few weeks.
So I'm good with that.
Let's talk about moving new releases this week.
Is there something coming out?
Oh, there is.
And I'm in a conundrum.
Because.
I don't know.
Here we come.
I don't know what I'm going to be able to go.
We got to talk about that.
So yeah.
We're going to need to coordinate that.
This movie.
That man be Superman.
Don't adjust this.
It's going to half hours long.
Got to do the alamo.
The alamo is definitely going to be the destination.
And it's going to be the brand new alamo.
I want to go to the brand new alamo on south side of the mar.
Our friends at the alamo draft house.
They are putting out a limited edition.
Birthed movies, Death for it.
And there's a limited edition.
Pine glass, which I may have to acquire.
I just got, you know, with the band playing Sunday.
We're trying to get ready for that.
I just don't know.
When I'm going to have time.
But I'm going to make time because it's Batman v Superman.
And I'm ready for this movie.
Also this week for the.
For the ladies that do not want to see Batman v Superman with their men.
My big fat Greek wedding, too.
It did not screen up for the press.
Really. I'm sorry to hear that.
No one.
I kind of enjoyed the first one.
Oh, so die.
It was a sleeper hit that came up from nowhere.
I remember we saw it being Gary.
My friend showed Gary Merissot the theater.
And we saw that.
What's this?
Let's see it.
It came out and loved it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Great movie.
Also this week.
I saw the light.
The, the, the Hank Williams senior biopic.
Okay.
starring Tom Hiddleston.
I'm just, I'm not sure.
I, to me, it's just still, I still all I see is Loki.
Yep.
Another biopic coming out this week.
I was born to be blue.
starring Ethan Hawke is a reimagining of Jazz Legend,
Chet Baker's musical comeback in the late 60s.
Sounds awful similar to something coming out next month.
I'm just saying.
Yeah.
Also this week, your other big release.
I would say big release, which your other release is something called
Mia Madre.
I'm gonna pull that up for you real quick.
Yeah.
Audrey.
Stars John Teterro.
Who I'm a big fan of.
Yeah.
Margarita, a director in the middle of an existential crisis has to deal with the
inevitable and still unacceptable loss of her mother.
See, there's anybody else in this that you might know.
I'm scrolling.
I'm scrolling.
I'm scrolling and I got to see.
All right.
Let us get into DVD and blue right new releases this week.
And probably the last time we may ever play this next song in this context.
And I love this song.
BAH.
Hunger Games.
Bocking J part two.
It's DVD and blue right this week.
The final film in the series.
And you can also buy all four in a box set as well.
Yeah.
They're releasing that.
Also this week, some criterion collection releases.
A brighter summer day.
Tokyo story and the Charlie Chaplin,
starring in directed city lights.
And also debuting on blue right this week.
The complete series of freaks and geeks.
So if you ever wanted to know how the whole.
Troop of.
Jud Appetal happened.
Watch that show real quick.
Um.
You think the Justin Timberlake's going to give that fourth thing for disk thing.
Um, Charlie.
Do you think she's going to buy the whole fourth thing?
I don't know.
Okay.
Oh, but fact check.
Joe Santos rested earlier that he was in Kung Fu Panda three.
I saw it nowhere.
Okay.
Just that might be.
Oh, I think he's in Kung Fu the show season three.
Okay.
I was wrong.
I read that lot.
I just can't feel when I just assumed Panda.
Is that bad?
Yeah.
We don't want to make sure we're correct.
All right.
Cool.
All right.
Let's do some tech corner stuff real quick.
Interesting news coming out of Sony this week.
They are going to be sticking their toe in the water for cross.
Platform game play.
They're already doing it street fighter five can work between a PS4 and a
PC.
Microsoft.
They're talking about doing cross network sharing with the PS4.
So my Xbox one, if I have a game and I have a friend who has a PS4, we may be able
to start playing against each other online.
Oh, really?
This is huge news.
Oh, yeah.
Nothing verified from the Sony side yet, but they, like I said, they are still
already doing street fighter five to cross with the PS4 and the PC.
So also want to talk about something I did yesterday.
Um, something I've now done two years in a row.
I was up and up on the north side yesterday at the Texas pinball festival.
With a friend of the show, John Houser, a friend of the show, Richard Sheely and his
son Zach.
How did an amazing time?
What was it?
At the first go convention center.
Okay.
How much was it to get in for an adult for a one day pass?
It was $35.
Okay.
And it was open from 10 a.m. to midnight.
There were over 300 pinball games and video games.
It's not just been delicious.
Oh, yeah.
They had a golf machine.
They had some really cool table top games that they were playing.
Like they're called cocktail table games.
They have the video game you sit down and you play.
Yeah.
A lot of old school stuff.
Uh, one of my favorite.
Uh, one so watch VR cabs.
They're, they're, they're the guys that make the pinball
cabinets and they put the plasma screens in it.
They've unveiled a new deal where it's a vertical cabinet.
And you could still play the pinball games on it.
Yeah.
But it also has old school video games in it.
Oh, wow.
Including one of my wife's favorites.
Burger time was in there.
Uh, I tried to, I tried to play tempest.
But it was really sensitive with the track ball.
That was a little mirror for me.
But a lot of cool stuff.
I loved it.
Saw the new Big Lebowski table.
That was one of the big features this year.
That's got a screen.
That's probably.
It's just wide as the cabinet and probably of the headboard thing.
And probably about a third of it.
It's a huge full motion video screen.
Uh, played the Ghostbusters table that was just released.
That's a great table.
Very, very fast paced.
Uh, played the new Spider-Man table.
Looks great.
Played the new Game of Thrones table.
How long?
Which I actually played in Vegas last time.
I don't want the lines on this thing.
Not too bad.
Oh, really. Okay.
Uh, there were a lot of people there.
But when you have over 300 tables.
Yeah.
The distributions pretty good.
All right.
Now, of course, you're going to wait longer for some of the newer tables.
Uh, we probably waited 15 minutes for the kiss table, which is, which is a brand new
kiss table that looks great and sounds amazing.
Um, but there's all, I mean, there were pinball tables from the 50s all the way up
until today.
I know a lot of, a lot of tables as you're like, Oh, I forgot that that one existed.
There was a guy that was working last year on a custom, uh, spinal tap table that he had
actually had up and running this year.
It's a really, really good time.
We had a lot of fun.
I think we're going to make this our annual event.
Uh, you could actually buy tickets in advance and they're a little bit cheaper, which
I think we may do this for next year.
They had food trucks out there this year.
So if you didn't have to, you essentially had to pay five bucks to park.
You'd have to leave the parking lot and come back.
Unless you were like us and Richard actually parked a different parking lot.
So we just left the car there and went to dinner and came back.
But how did great time out there?
Great job by everybody involved.
They also had a deal where they had some of their pinball dignitaries that were there.
And they were just walking the floor and they might walk up and you and say, Hey, why don't
you play me?
It could play against me at this table.
And if you beat them, they gave you a trophy to take home with you.
There were tournaments going on tournament side apologize.
Uh, that people were entering that could win prizes.
It was a really well presented deal.
Uh, there was a delorean just like last year.
They had one of the delorean's out there right next to the back to the future table.
They actually had a tron machine out there this year that they didn't have last year.
There were some vendors selling some really cool stuff.
Uh, there was a vendor that sold many replicas of glass of them.
She's like black knight that you could turn to lamp.
That was pretty neat.
How did great great time out there?
I believe it.
So if you get a chance next year, check it out.
They're wrapping up their stuff today.
Anything else before we turn the street line on?
Uh, I got an iPhone.
That's about it.
You've had an iPhone for a long time.
All right.
Let's do it.
We end every show of the list.
Tonight is no exception.
Tonight we're going to get right to it.
We're going to go to 10 of my favorite power balance.
Now for those of you that don't know what a power balance is.
And there's a very, very loose definitions of a power balance.
My personal definition.
It has to be a hairband.
It has to happen in the 80s.
Because if you remember monster balance,
every bed boy has a soft side.
That qualifies.
Because I've seen people do like Nickelbacks.
How you remind me as a power balance way too late.
Power balance was an 80s thing.
Okay.
So let's do it.
Number 10.
And you really take this into context of what it is.
This took place
89.
The world was changing.
Hence the name of the song.
Winds of change by the scorpions.
Communism was coming to an end.
The Berlin wall was coming down.
This song meant so much to so many people.
And it's a beautifully done song.
Even though,
if you ever see the scorpion's life,
can't understand what he's saying.
But you know what he's saying.
Okay.
Remember this one?
Yeah.
Of course.
Of change.
How many people run it?
Just run it upon fire.
Just the lighters on.
You know, this is such a great song.
Of change.
I want to play a little bit here.
Oh yeah.
Prayer for failure.
And apparently it was really him, Wesleyan.
Okay.
I believe it.
My wife is smiling at me through the door
because this is some of her favorite music.
She is nodding on the Koreans.
Again, the closest will ever get to having my wife on this show.
Which I don't understand.
I'm so hopeful.
We're going to do it.
All right.
Number nine.
Half sticks.
Add in a little bit of Ted Nugent.
And you get Dam Yankee.
And also night Ranger.
That's right.
Night Ranger was involved in this too.
Yeah.
Great album by the way.
And this song is specifically.
Sure.
The video was like a Bonnie and Clyde thing.
Which is a little weird for me.
Yeah.
But high enough is such a great song.
I'm not a little disappointed.
Yeah.
Take a drink of my water over doing this.
Burn.
A song wants a concert of that company.
And they rocked.
Really?
They were incredible.
Yeah.
And I met the guy from, uh, uh,
got a blaze or whatever from the night.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Some sticks.
No, no.
I got from Night Ranger.
Oh, yeah.
Tommy Shaw and Blaze.
They were from, like, from sticks.
No, but the guy from Night Ranger.
Yeah.
He had me with, before the concert.
Very nice guy.
Yeah.
You know what to say when you call me.
It's always great when you can listen to great music.
I'm good headphones.
Yeah.
On請.
Yeah.
On note.
Yes.
The sun is shining, yeah.
Let's go to the core.
Here we go.
Come on.
No.
B-alighters on.
Yeah.
And you, stay alive.
Just to hear that Jorge is just on great.
On fi'mi over.
Yeah.
Just forrab.
And not with Don Torn.
All right.
Number eight.
Number eight.
Kind of a fair to Midland fan to this man.
How the couple of great hits.
White lion, this is called when the children cry.
Lot of hair.
Lot of hair.
Lot of hair.
Lot of hair products going on.
Would wait and also be.
You think that'd be.
This is the ginger ninja.
This is here.
We're right in the middle of the list, Andrew.
We're talking about 10 of my favorite power.
Why can't you make it for the show?
Yeah.
Good to be here.
Sorry.
We're right there on the last page.
Well, a number eight.
This is a white lions when the children cry.
That's great.
Number seven.
If you're going to do power balance.
You have this song list.
You have to.
You have to.
One of the greatest albums of the 80s commercially.
And I know, Don, you're a fan of the earlier stuff in this.
Well, I still liked it.
But that this was kind of one of the last best albums.
You know, this is probably the last great album they did.
I didn't.
A adrenaline was passable.
It's not as good as any of the people.
Yeah.
I mean, it wasn't.
It wasn't high and dry.
But.
But this song.
What a great.
I just.
You know, and you can exchange this like this in love.
The invites could be, you know, 8 8 8 8 8.
I'm sorry.
7 7 8.
Oh, yeah.
So.
What does it matter?
I still give it a number six.
Any band who has a lead singer whose name is Joey Tempest,
you got to have him on the list.
I never dated a girl named Carrie, but if I did, this would probably not be on the agenda
because somebody would have tried it before me.
What's this pipe for just a bit?
Easy killer.
There's stuff on the wall over there.
Same album as the final countdown.
Alright, number five, you gotta go to the metal master himself.
Ozzy, whatever I was, I think two years ago I was on the road a lot.
I always used to just hum this to myself as I was getting on the plane or getting the
Ramacarda, drive back to the Kasa, nailed the post on that.
Mama, let's smoke up.
What's wrong with your boy?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Has it been like this the whole time?
Not really.
Why?
Is it just my presence?
That was amazing.
Mama, whatever.
And you can't do this song without number four on the list.
And I picked the 91 remix of this because this is the version they prefer because they
wanted to play this on a piano, but the record company wanted it to use a keyboard.
Oh man.
So they re-record it 91 with the piano.
And even carry under what's cover of this is not bad.
But this song, and if you watched the video, opening shot of a video,
re-unitoring a Dallas Texas.
Right?
Even though they hate this album, they hate theater of pain because they don't remember
recording any of it.
Really?
They were so bombed out of their mind.
It says, if you read the dirt they talk about, like, we don't remember writing it.
We don't remember recording it.
We don't remember producing it.
We may not remember most of touring it.
Let's say, that's a whole lot of time and not remember.
But there's a whole lot of drugs going through that band too.
Sure.
Yeah.
Pain?
True.
Home sweet home.
From theater of pain.
I thought I'm final.
Now, if you're going to do that song, you have to do this song at number three.
Because this song, written in Dallas, Texas, I don't know if you know the story of this.
No.
Brett Michaels, every rose has his Thorpe from poison, sitting in a wanderer mad in Dallas,
calls home to check on his lady and a dude answers the phone.
Really?
But he thinks he was faithful.
I'm not understanding.
This is the story.
I'm out here to judge you outwardly.
But it's falling an amazing song.
Even though Kyrgyl tried to destroy it for me.
Had a buddy of mine that actually sung it pretty well.
So that kind of kept me kept my sanity.
In our remake.
My name is Rose and I do.
Nate.
See?
Your boy.
Your boy.
Sit in the corner.
Trying to have a nice moment.
Yeah.
And I've got the the love child of Luther Campbell and weird eye yank of it over here in the corner.
Let me find the remote.
See if like a beauty.
Now, normally this next one, I would put it the number one position.
But there's a specific reason that this one's coming in at number two.
And we'll talk about it here in a minute.
And these guys are coming to town very soon.
Every time it's on the radio, stop down.
And if you don't think David Coverdale still gets it done.
You're wrong.
That dude still comes out there.
I saw them.
I saw them like in 89 in Montana.
And as a time when they had Steve Bayes,
I'll leave it.
I saw them.
I saw them.
I saw them.
I saw them.
Like in 89 in Montana.
And as a time when they had Steve Bayes,
the league of Tars.
Oh my God.
Did you know what?
As I'm forward as looking to that one,
they did steal the night and all that thing.
That should be the bomb.
No.
I started horrible at night.
Oh, that's one of my favorite white things on.
Oh, yeah.
We need to grind in the rain,
steal the night and the, you know,
like guitar thing,
a very wet to the food.
Uh-huh.
Oh, my God.
Steve by just.
I think it's Steve.
Cause that's one of the very few.
And that might be another,
this video night.
Songs that are over seven minutes long
that I can still listen to.
Still the night's one of them.
That's a great song.
But this one is this love.
The follow up to here I go again.
Also had Tony containing the video.
She's not one girl.
And the only reason number one is what it is
is because this song took the world by storm
for the better part of a year.
And if you, if you're, if you're on the interwebs,
you can look up a shot by shot remake of this video.
Sorry, Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon.
And it's absolutely brilliant.
I mean, I had to get away from this song for a couple of years
because it was everywhere for so long.
And I'm starting to come back around on it now.
But this one gets the number one spot over is this love
just because of the absolute mass appeal of it.
And when you have a guy in your band named Nuno Betten Court,
it's not about a poolboards.
It's the post again.
And you're leasing your Gary Sharon lost a lot of cool points
when he thought he was going to be the lead singer of Van Halen
for about an hour and a half.
But it streams more than words.
This is a extreme three.
I believe it was a point of graffiti.
Great album.
Big fan of this song, Big fan of, I believe mother
don't want to go to school days on this album.
But you see that that was on this album or get the funk out
is a great song.
Problem is it's five minutes and thirty-seven seconds.
Whoa.
Any, I got a bundle.
Well, don't give me a ton of them because we're running out of time.
First off, where's Arios Speedwagon or Journey?
Because they were the king of power balance.
But to me, those aren't necessarily power balance
because I limit power balance to hair metal.
Okay, if you're doing that.
Okay, then I have one.
Van Halen when it's loved.
That was in the 80s.
And there were no for rockin'.
If you have it, they're not a hair metal band.
I mean, I'll throw that one out for you.
But I'm talking about bands that rocked
that look that slow song in.
I'm kind of, you know.
But see, I'm more of a fan of,
I just lost it.
Uh, forget it.
I love comes walking in.
Yeah, but this is more...
I like this song, but I like that one better.
No, this one I love the dance.
Heart alone.
See, they rocked and rocked and rocked.
That came out in 80s.
Yeah, more balanced.
But again, for me, I don't have the hair.
I only have that in karaoke.
I need to get that album.
But again, to me, they weren't a metal band.
They were a rock band.
They were a great band.
And I really want to see them when they come to town in August
because I've never seen them live.
Anything else?
Don't play that in your phone.
She took the flame.
You know what?
That's a very good point.
Because...
Can I just say I spent 20 years trying to figure out what he was saying in the chorus?
A quick stand.
Jesus by Skid Row.
Yeah, if I'm going Skid Row.
Because I'm going, I remember you.
No, it's quick stand Jesus.
But the last one.
Not like crew, you're all I need.
That's a good stand.
That's the one that's the, if you want a power ball.
Because it's good stand.
You've only talked about, you know, killing this, you know,
but I mean, you ever saw what the plot of that song's about.
Yeah, but still it's a power ball.
And you, you think it's a wonderful song till you read the lyrics.
Oh yeah.
All right.
Okay.
Read the lyrics.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Andrew anything you want to add?
No?
Not off the top of my head.
All right.
Remember kids, we will be off next week for Easter.
And if you, if you're in the Dallas Fort Worth area and you don't have anywhere to go to Easter,
10 a.m. next Sunday,
Grace D will be playing church on the bike at strokeers off of Harry Hines.
Uh, going to have a great time.
That's going to be the fifth year out of seven that we've played it.
So we're looking forward to that.
And you'll get to hear our league guitarist Ken Belcher give his testimony,
which is something I don't know that he's ever done publicly.
So that's a big deal.
Also, we may or may not be here the following week contingent upon some other things.
I probably won't.
If you are an iTunes subscriber, we are going to be doing an iTunes exclusive that week with some very special guests.
That's I think is going to be very, very interesting.
We just had to schedule when we're going to do it.
Then we're also going to be off April the 10th.
Because Grace D is playing at the profit bar in Deep Ellem, though,
it'd be a 630 show.
So if you're worried about it being a school night, don't because we're going on early
because we want to come home and go to bed so we have to work there.
And then next weekend.
And then after that, the next weekend is we got the fourth.
It's the high school musical award.
And Dallas International Film Festival.
Oh yeah.
Let's be back in the studio doing this for our shows.
Can I think to be a long way?
It's probably going to be.
It's probably going to be the first week in May before we're back in the mother ship.
It did the last week of April.
It's probably going to be the WWE thing.
And for the next paper.
No, I think the paper views like two weeks after that.
Yeah, because I don't think they're doing.
They wouldn't do two in April.
Especially after WrestleMania.
Let me find out.
Okay.
All right.
In that case, let's go ahead and do the plugs.
