or six laps. And they'll make some improvements to the cops. Come on everybody wanted

before naming anything after anything. I'm just saying yeah. I mean heck, I've got
just I bought my Xbox one and it's still having problems. And if anybody out there

gentlemen, since we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment. Let's
go to a little TV talk. FX has canceled the comedians. Billy Crystal and Josh
Gad Show. Which I've heard good things about. Never watched it. Yeah, so me either.
But I don't know that I can just deal with Billy Crystal on television anymore. I don't know what it is.
It's kind of like the bits kind of gone stale for me. I don't know what it is. I love Billy
Crystal. I just I don't know he's not a priority in my life anymore. Well it's kind of like
and it it sounds kind of petty but it's that ship is kind of sailed hadn't you know. I'm not sure
that his humor really appeals to a current audience. It really more. But I'm not a current audience.
No, I'm just saying that's why the show doesn't dance. Also in a surprise announcement,
he and Peel have announced that after this season of their show season five, they're done.
I'm not surprised. That's their call. Yeah, from what I'm being read from what I being read. Something
like read me news now. What I've actually read. Yeah, I'm being reading. Yeah, I mean they're saying
that season five starts this week and wraps up in September and then that's it.
You know, I can't blame him. I've seen him in so many movies now. They kind of got their launch.
You know, I'm pretty sure they have a tons of other things going on.
Andrew did predict that the range was good with loose today. They lost 13 to 7. Yes.
But yeah, I mean they really are doing well allegedly.
That's the biggest better hand. Russ has a of Billy Crystal. It was not marvelous.
But yeah, I mean they're getting alike. There are barely aren't they start still writing and
producing the the police academy reboot. And one of them was in tomorrow land. And I saw one of
them in something else recently. And you saw we we were watching a trailer. We saw both of them in it.
A trailer for something and I can't remember what it was. But yeah, I mean they're like a major
release. They're calling the TV show. Very funny stuff from what I saw. I never watched every episode.
But I watched some stuff here and they're very funny. You guys are very, very funny. So best of
luck to them. Boy. Someone is not reading my mind. Because we don't have enough channels.
The dance network is coming in October. This was a fish. What are their flagship shows?
Well, one of them is going to be about flash mobs. Which I'm a fan of the flash mob. But they're
calling it steady mobbing. Which I think is a little unstable. Just a lot. They're doing they're doing
another show that's kind of like behind the scenes of Glee, but not Glee itself.
I just don't does this need to be a thing? Well, got the dance network. It's called Bravo.
I mean, I'm a huge fan of so you think you can dance. You are. And the step-up movies keep getting
bigger and bigger audiences don't ask me how. Didn't I give Channing Tatum a start? Pretty much.
This weekend I want to say was national dance weekend where they have like big
big dance elves happening in LA, New York, and DC. Man, I'm not sorry that I missed that.
Well, this is one of those things that Michelle Obama was like a spearhead of. She wanted to
get that thing kicked off. Does she was more about nutrition than that? Well, just she's I was
her big thing. Well, she's combating childhood obesity. So she figures this being a good way to do it.
I'm combating adulthood obesity. I'm just losing. And they think about, you know,
like the dance central games are really, really popular still on the connect and stuff like that.
So it's kind of I just want to know are they going to have a two step show at two p.m. and two
p.m. Wow, I'm not even going to say. Wow, go send it out there. Good luck with that. Oh,
wow, I didn't know where to go from there. Wow, okay. And better news. Very excited about this
next story. If you're a fan of Gotham, Michael Chickless joining the cast of Gotham for season two
as Captain Nathaniel Barnes, who is hell bent on cleaning up the Gotham City police force.
I just stumbled across this on IMDB. Do you realize who voiced Batman in Batman year one?
Yeah. Yeah. It's a guy that plays Gordon on golf. Exactly. That is a big thing from jump street.
I didn't realize that. Yeah. He's the second actor that's portrayed Batman and Jim Gordon.
Apparently Bruce Thomas played a live action Batman in the on-star commercials in the early
odds. And he voiced Gordon in a son of Batman last year. Hey, and happy news. Looks like the L.A.
Kisses on the board is watching some arena football in the studio. They're now down 34 to seven
at the half. The comeback wagon. Because we talk about positivity. Yeah, it's a little red wagon.
It's a little flyer wagon. But I'm on board. You know, my big chick was fan. Have been since the
commission. Very underrated television show. My personal opinion. And of course, the shield. Good night.
And a guy who, if you, if you, I don't know if you know the story, a guy who almost committed
career suicide early on. I don't know if you know the story, Chad. No. Because you know he played
blue she and wired. I know he played curly in the threes to the news bio. Well, it's all
accurate. So many people in Hollywood were so down on that book that him taking that role. A lot of
people said, look, you'll never work in this town again if you do this film. I couldn't
lord. There's a lot of people in Hollywood that were really, really upset with that book hit.
I remember that movie because when I worked at the theater in high school, we had it at my theater.
And joining empire this year will be the ludicrous joining the ever growing list of
people whose names you know joining that show. We've got, uh, we did find out Kelly Rowland. It's
going to be flashbacks of uh, Lucius. Oh, we're looking at me like, I'm like, look, I've read it.
I mean, I read the story. And then Ty Reese also, we said last time he cast.
Kids get ready.
Shark NATO 4 is coming. Of course it is. But they're doing a little bit of a twist on it. Apparently
spoiler alert if you haven't watched it in three, two, don't say the one. At the end of Shark
NATO 3, a something like a space shuttle or an airplane is headed straight at Tara Reed's character.
Whose name is April. And they are doing a Twitter campaign. They're doing their own version of
a death in the family. Or the fans are going to decide the fate of her character via Twitter.
I got a pretty good idea where that's going. But you know what? I'm not, I'm not bidding
either way because I can't predict the demo target audience for Shark NATO. You know what? I'm
saying at apparently people were saying that like, because you know who played the president in Shark
NATO 3. Yeah, Cuban. And apparently like he was really playing it straight. Like they thought people were like,
you know, he kind of did okay. Given the source material that we're working with.
You just want to go, dude, you really want you're doing a movie with Tara Reed and I in the
series, right? You get that. And apparently, George R. Martin is killed in this thing, too, in Shark
NATO 3. And they said his death was very specific. And if you weren't really watching closely,
you didn't catch it. Speaking of George R. Martin, the lovely intelligence administrator
has officially started her quest to get caught up on Game of Thrones. She's almost through
season one, slogging through that uphill. Yeah. So, but you know what? She's on board now.
It's good. And we have seasons one through four on Blue Ray. So I was like, I told you,
would enjoy the show. It's just going to take a minute. We've got some casting news for the
ex files revival. The lone gunmen are going to be in it. Remember those guys that got their own
spin off show that lasted longer, a little bit longer than this sentence took to say. But Lauren Ambrose
and Ravi Amel is going to be joining the cast. There you go. So good for them.
You know, I only watched one episode of the ex files ever. And it was only because it was the
episode that was done by Stephen King. And the only thing I remember about it is there was something
in a microwave at the end of it. I don't think I've ever watched an episode of that. I just couldn't
get into that show. And but what I'll tell you about, weren't there about a hundred versions of that
show out there when that show exploded? Yeah. And news that I didn't see coming.
HBO has renewed the brink for season two. What is the brink? It's this the the show with Jack
Black that they're doing or he works for the US embassy and Tim Robbins. It's bad. You just said
Jack Black. I'm swallowing through it. I really thought that if I just finished this season out
that it would be okay. Apparently I'm the guy. They got it renewed.
You were the tipping point. You were the deciding boat. I just don't know how you can do a
season two given the way they're doing season one. But I haven't seen how season one ends. So
it's pretty bad. And I like Jack Black. He doesn't bother me. This whole premise bothers me.
It's just I keep waiting for it to get better. And it's just not. So
September 26th, if you are a fan, circle it on your calendar. That is the premiere of the Guardians
of the Galaxy animated series. Really? I'm assuming Disney XD but the article I read did not say for sure.
Doesn't say what their the storyline for it or it's just the further adventures of Guardians of
Galaxy. I don't know if it's going to bridge some gaps or not. But there is the animation looks
kind of cool. So I have to see how it works out. I'll of course I will be watching it because I
am a sucker for all things Marvel and DC. What kind of art style are they going on?
Kind of traditional kind of the look that that agents of smash and Avengers assemble has
standard. So it's not that angular style. It's more the curved softer edge style.
It's not the hard it's it's a little softer. It's not hard edges and stuff. But it's not
actually it kind of gets on my nerves after a while. It's not hard on the eyes. It's not like
Star Wars Clone Wars like Samurai. It's not like that. It's more like the
your normal superhero stuff. But not like that man in his ears. And it is a hand-drawn or is it
CG? It looks hand-drawn. Okay. Because we all know it's going to be computer due their way. But it's
not that CGI look. It's the hand-drawn look to it. And news that will interest Chad Naomi Campbell
has joined the cast of American Horror Story Hotel. That list just keeps getting longer.
I haven't watched an episode of American Horror Story since the second season.
But are you telling me that you're not interested? I'm interested, but she was just on
Empire. So she's kind of getting around. Yeah, they mentioned that the article I read.
That she's kind of gotten a little bit of a career resurgence. So there's that.
Any other TV news that we need to talk about that you guys have heard that I haven't?
No, you've had your hair to the ground a lot better than I have this week. More than a little bit
more than I thought I would, but we're doing okay. All right. Let's move on and do POI.
POI stands for Person of Interest. It is a segment we do on this show where we take a person or an entity
and we debate their greatness or lack thereof. Pension on swings back to me this week. And I want to
talk about something that has peaked my interest, but I'm not yet sure it's worth my money.
Okay. It is the channel known as Epics. Recently Chad and I were handling an event and I got
a text from my lovely wife. And she said, can we have Epics now? Let me frame this in the fact that
I have the top of the line universe package. All the movie channels, all the sports channels,
all that good stuff. But Epics is a separate charge with universe, which is why I've always held
off because like you know what? You get enough of my money. And you're going to tell them you're
going to, you want me to take another eight bucks for three more channels? Well, because it's hard
for me to tell my wife now. She said there's just a lot of movies that come on there that I really
want to see that I don't have other channels. Fine. Or just eight bucks a month. Granted, it took
them a month to get it going because something got caught up in their computer system and we couldn't
get it activated. But we got it done. I'm just not seeing that kind of stuff that make me think
this is worth it. Really? Buyers are more similar. No, I wouldn't say buyers are more. There are,
I would say there's a handful of movies out there that I've recorded. I know they were the first
last year to get skyfall because that was a big deal when they were the first premium network to air
skyfall. And they do like, if you're in the concerts, they do quite a few concerts. They did the last
Katy Perry tour. They did the last pink tour. And there's some good stand-up comedy like there's
a brand new Dennis Miller that I recorded. There's a brand new Lewis Black that I recorded.
The new Jim Jeffries is on there. But I think those are, I think at least the new Jim Jeffries
is available on Netflix too. I do kind of wonder if there's some kind of an association there.
With Netflix and Epics, especially with the stand-up comedy that they're showing. Because there's
stuff that I've like, oh, I'm interested in that. I'm like, wait a minute, I have this in my
instant queue. So do I need it in both places? All right. Chad, have you have any experience with any
of the the Epics phenomenon? Isn't that where they initially premiered
of one of Kevin's Q and A's? Too fat for 40. I thought so. Because I see my guy remember
watch or was that or was that reals? I was one of the two, which one was in Australia?
No, I'm talking about station wise. It was too fat for 40 was the one that premiered.
Was it okay? Because I know something there was on something that he did was on Epics.
But I think that's the only instance where I've ever really partaken and anything on Epics.
What was his show on where he interviewed, where they run the university?
Oh, that was on Hulu. Okay, okay. Because it was only available in Canada on cable. They never
aired in this country. I just don't understand number one why it has to be a separate charge.
Yeah, that is a little bunk. Because I mean, I've talked people at AT&T and they're like,
you know what, if you kind of swed it out long and I've been probably getting included.
But it's been like a year now and it's still what it is. I mean, I've got enough stuff on my DVR now.
I think I have, I think I finally got myself almost just barely over 30% of free space on my DVR.
Because it's just like I can't keep up because we've got so much going on whether, you know,
we're doing stuff with the podcasts or whether I'm doing stuff with Grace D or, you know, just work in general.
I got a bunch of movies on there right now. Because there was a time where I was just missed a bunch of movies.
And so I'm trying to get caught up on movies. I know like this week, the HBO premiere is Birdman.
Very much looking forward to seeing that. And there's like that seven days in hell, which I've been
wanting to watch because it looks pretty funny. And you think that in summertime, you can get caught up on that
stuff. But if I had a lot of summer shows this year, I don't know, what's going on. But there's been a lot of summer
just speaking of summer shows. I did watch, I got caught up on the Jim Gaffigan show,
which is hearing on TV land. It's kind of funny. It's kind of kind of, kind of sign-filledy,
but kind of not. Is it in New York? Yes. Yes. It's pretty funny. I mean, I like Jim Gaffigan.
The last episode dealt with him in his addiction to Red Velvet Cake.
Where he had to admit to his wife that he finished an entire red velvet cake. And he promised that he would,
he was not going to do it again. So he takes us to order to a birthday party. And that's what they're serving.
He's very funny, funny show. But, but epic. I mean, I will tell, I will say this from a stand-up
comedy aspect. They're kind of picking up HBO's slack. Because I know you'll, you'll attest to this,
sir. There was a time when there was more stand-up comedy coming out of HBO than you could shake
stick pretty much before the days of comedy central. That's where you've gotten your comedy.
The one night stands, the good. Do you remember who had the first one I was special on HBO?
Oh God. Um, oh cheese. Garland? Nope. I figured that was going to be your answer.
You'd call in or Klein. It was Klein. Okay. It's Klein. I figured it was Garland Klein or Robin Williams.
And they've really kind of, I mean, you might get to, I stand as specials a year out of HBO now.
That's a shame. And epic seems to be cranking him out.
I mean, I've seen a new, uh, there's a new Jim Norton. That's out there on epic.
I have my losing the guy from half-baked. Not Chipel, the other guy.
Hmm. Oh, I don't know his. I've never seen half-baked, so.
Jim Brewer. That's who it is. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay.
And, you know, Russ is HBO on location. Where did that go? Now they do their like the making of,
but it's like a 15-minute thing. I have the writers for an HBO gotten really lazy.
A lot of the shows have been interested in it. It's just like dragging along like they're just me.
So, I mean, I guess I see epic from a point of
from a comedy standpoint, like they've got a lot of good stuff on there.
But they also like when they premiere a movie, they will play it to death.
I mean, I'll see two or three-day loobstores like the same four movies over and over and over and over again.
But that's how I DVR the new Robo Cop, which I haven't watched yet.
I mean, they've got some stuff that I don't see anywhere else. I just don't know why it has to be
a separate charge. It doesn't make any sense to me. Well, I mean, when you, when you watch it, is it,
is it edited? Oh no, no, no. No, no. No, this is premium. Well, and that's why.
But why doesn't have to be a separate charge from my HBO Cinemas, the movie channel stars package?
That's what I don't understand. Unless it's, I guess that company just doesn't have an agreement.
What didn't it just start like last year sometime, I'm been a couple years, a couple year.
Now it may be it was fairly recent on universe. But like dish Networking them, they've had this thing forever.
Because on TWBC I got it for free for a month when they got it and it was just more nostalgia
moving is it is it separate for you as a time Warner customer if you if you wanted it or is it
concluding your movie package to be honest I don't know I got one of those please don't leave
this deals so but at the time they were like do you want to keep this channel and I was like no
How did it really upset me that the weekend after we got it they did a free preview weekend a little bit
but I don't know I mean I'm going to stick the thing out and see where it goes I just I don't
know it's weird to me like I don't want to say why it has to be a separate feel and maybe one
of our listeners can shed some light for me on that because I'm I'm very confused but if it makes
a lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin happy then we'll fight through it what's in a book I mean
I think bucks is lunch dude one day a week though but it's all it's but it's the principle of the
thing it's the principle of why if I'm already paying you and I don't want to disclose what my
bill is every month but if I'm paying you this what's eight bucks to you you know what I mean
right and I've been a customer now for for the uverse going on six years
you know HBO how about that I think it depends on the representative you get sometimes they're
they're like wow you've been with us you know five years we need to give you this and this oh no they
give me a dearly discount a customer loyalty discount oh nice but I but you have to call to renew it
it doesn't automatically renew every year and the rep that I had last told me like I call next
October tell him you want to renew it and you're good oh so that's nice all right let's move on you

for specific matches on the network that he's involved in you'd think he never existed he's
not even listed under their Hall of Famers wow on WWE's website
oh they're covering themselves it's weird can't blame them but again oh that's a whole lot that's too much
it's very very strange to me I don't get it because I'm up two minds here now first of all

now can you separate Hulk Hogan from Terry Balea because the argument could be made that it
wasn't Hulk Hogan that made these comments because Hulk Hogan is a character but it was Terry Balea

resigned from what what was he doing from the WWE and if it was Hulk Hogan he's a judge on tough
enough oh I'm not watching tough enough so I forgot that he was even on that show which now I've
heard rumors of flare replacing him or bread heart replacing him I just I think this was a preemptive
strike because I guess from a WWE standpoint it is better to get rid of him and if it works out
that they were wrong it's just them apologizing to Hogan because you know Hogan will always come back
yeah versus we're gonna take a wait and see attitude and it turns out to be true illegitimate
and they lose universal USA and a ton of sponsors but I mean it came out of nowhere Friday morning
they've cut all ties with him did you see that I'm sure you have did you see Andrew did you see that
Kamala's come out defending him yes no I don't know the book or T was an interesting statement
because as we all know the irony is not lost in this situation on this and he says
he finds he it's very difficult for him to accept but it happened it was one of those weird statements
of disappointed I'm disappointing I'm disappointing I'm dis- I'm kind of distancing myself from it but
I hope it all works it was a weird statement and Brooke like wrote a poem like you guys don't

but I don't know how you recover from this if you recover from this
he'll recover he's too big of it but is he in 2015 that's the thing is he in 2015
if this happens 20 years ago versus now of all the things in the world this is
that is the one word that if you say it no matter what anybody just just shun you and your
cast away on an island people other people on the WWE have done much worse and they've come back I just
don't see how this I just it's so and it just keeps getting weirder I mean mainstream
media picked it up and the way the way I really found out about it is I was reading Twitter and
Bomani Jones started talking using the word Hogan and then using Paula Dean and I was like that
can't be can't be talking about Hulk Hogan like this would have happened like I would have known
about this and then I saw the headline on Yahoo and I was like holy cow oh no and I mean it
just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger again like I said mainstream media has picked this up
which of course again doesn't do favors for our sport no and I can't say that I fault for
WWE for making the stance that they did because you talk about the ultimate airing on the side of
caution because again if they had said look we need to get the full story on this I don't know if you
watch Rotomar Night if they don't do something if they didn't if they didn't take any kind of
action and said we know we need to get all the fact because they've done this before and there are
people crying hypocrisy because in 2005 Vince McMahon had a promo with John Cena where he used that word
and Booker T was in the background now WWE statement on that flinsy at best this was a scripted
deal blah blah blah like any television show you see please yeah own it own it yeah
your MVP used that word on impact earlier this year when saying you you've heard of people as
