But it seems like
Disney has this thing
Where they create these shows
And they have these kids
And they make these kids into superstars
And then they let them go
It's kind of like a manudo thing
You get a certain age and then you're kind of out there on your own
But it seems like more often than not
They either disappear into obscurity
Or there's just a meltdown

Well, and it's not only a conflict of interest
It's a lack of experience

What makes you think you can manage millions of dollars
What makes you qualified to do something of that

You know, and you have like McColley Kolkin
Who was not part of the Disney machine
But he had to emancipate from his parents
Because of all the money he was losing
Because his parents couldn't manage it
And then you've got somebody like
Like the really tragic tale of Bobby Driscoll

This kid was the voice of Peter Pan
Uh-huh, he was in the original Disney presentation of Treasure Island
Uh, he was in Song of the South
That movie that nobody talks about
Because it doesn't exist
I don't know if you have it on my surface
Um, and he died broke and buried in a popper's grave

I mean, I really think that they should make a movie about this kid's life
As a cautionary thing
I'm not saying this, no, I'm not saying Disney would make it
But as a cautionary tale of this is how bad it can get
I mean he died in his 30s

Yeah, if you do something more than just your parents being your handler
Every studio should have one
If you are contract it to them
If you're under 18 or something
I would even say under 25
Because the fame counselor thing
If they do that in the NCAA
You're 21-22 before you go to the pros

It's just so weird to see some of these kids that
All the town in the world
And
They're Disney career folds
And
It's either a story of redemption or a story of tragedy

Just you just watch them go further and further down the drain
You just watch them circle it for years and years and years
And then it finally just comes to a screeching halt
And the worst possible scenario
And I've always thought it's interesting too
You know, we talk a lot about sci-fi conventions and whatnot
And we've always, I've always said
If you're in a
Media crew
sci-fi series you can live the rest of your life
On the convention circuit
Not kind of not the same with this deal
Why if you're somebody who was on the sweet life with Zack and Cody
And that you weren't one of the two of them
Who are the twins from Big Daddy?
Why couldn't you
Watch on to some kind of a
Convention circuit
I thought something horrible happened to one of them too
And that I don't know, I can't verify that
I thought that one of the most

The twins that we're in everybody that's ramen is probably those

It's weird to me
Because if you're Disney, why wouldn't you want to walk some of these kids up long-term
Help foster them into more of an adult career
Because it's not like Disney doesn't make adult film
I'm not a adult film, but more maturely oriented film

I don't know, I guess the way they look at it is that they would rather just go with
More marketable names to adult audiences
Rather than parlaying these
Yeah, but kids that have now grown up
To me, you could almost they could just follow them up

I think it'd be a really hard sell on the average movie guard
That they want to see
Clooney in tomorrow land
They don't want to see it grown up
Zach Afron in tomorrow land
Well, no, I see where you're going there

It's that whole thing about
You know, let's hold this new like with boy bands
You got backstreet boys tour in every summer
And they're selling out places like the American Airlines Center
Here in Dallas, it holds about 20,000 people
Which will never cease to amaze me

I'm a sucker for it. It's and it's just weird that
That Disney's not doing that with their actors
I don't know, it's just weird to me

They may get lured away from the Disney machine
With promises of bigger and better things
