We are here to talk about the third film in the Notta Museum series.
Notta Museum's secret of the tune.
It's not a tune.
But I guess.

Well, move on.
Sean Levy, who's directed all the films,
is returns to this one.
Ben Stiller, of course.
Robin Williams, of course.
Owen Wilson, Mickey Rooney.
Rami Malek, Dick Van Dyke, Ricky Jervais, Steve Cougan.
The monkey, of course, and all three films.
But in this particular go round.
We find out that the tab with that makes all of the exhibits come alive at night.
It's starting to malfunction and they don't know why.
So what we end up having to do.
Thanks to some information from.

That was good.
I've been working on it.
We have to go to London because that's where his father's.
And his father's the only one that knows what's wrong with the tablet.
And so we have to figure that out.
By taking everybody to London under the secrecy of a bunch of stuff.
And a bunch of stuff happens.
So that being said.
And we're going to talk about some new cast members as well.
But not just yet because that's how I roll.
Done.
Tell me about the storyline.
From the type of movie it is.
I liked it.
It's defined what you mean by that.
And I'm going to say.
It's kind of the pot itself.
You probably did most of the movies.
Except for the mayhem that happens.
And not the mayhem.
Correct.
So with this.
You know, a brand of movies.
You know, the series.
The plot was.
With the mayhem, which he expect.
But I did kind of like the side story of having to go to London and learn a reason why.
The movie, you know, it's not going to be two and a half hours longer.
Everything like that.
But for the time being.
Yeah.
But for what it is.
I like the plot.
I kept me going.
They had a little side stuff here there, which kind of added to the movie.
So in general, I did like the storyline of the film.
Dave.
I love the fact that it started out in the original museum.
And then they take it to England to a brand new museum.
All new exhibits.
All new look.
All new characters to interact with.
So the storyline was fantastic.
As it brought it over there.
And then brought it all back together again.
Anywhere.
It was fantastic.
All right, ladies.
What do you guys think of the actual story itself?
I don't know.
What do you mean you don't know?
You watched the movie.
How you were there?
I was in my next year.
Can I say my favorite part?
You can.
If that's what you choose to do.
Okay.
My favorite part was whenever the monkey day were getting the lava.
The volcano.
Whatever kind of volcano was exploded.
And then the monkey saved them and he peed it went out.
And he started peeing all over the guy.
Because that's what he does in the movies.
He enjoys peeing on other people.
What she's referring to is the scene where Steve Couggan's character and Owen Wilson's characters
find a set in the London Museum.
They realize almost a little too late that it's Pompeii.
Or repop.
Yeah, boom.
Because they couldn't hear the guy say it.
Because he was through the globe.
Yeah, there was a bust of a head in a glass of a scene.
I was at Caesar's scene.
Seeing Pompeii but he was in the glass.
Oh.
So they didn't know what he was talking about.
What did the guys find what?
Oh.
Yeah.
Very, very funny.
Ash talked to me.
It from the backgrounds.
I saw these mummies in the glasses.
And they were kind of wiping their hands on the glass.
It's up right in there.
There you go.
So the mummies that were in the glass cases.
Okay.
Fair enough.
I really thought the story like because what I worry about when you get three deep into a film series
is that the story suffers.
That it starts to water down.
I did not feel that with this film.
Oh, me neither.
I kept my attention.
It was entertaining.
There was some parts of it.
They're like, okay, pretty sure we know where we're going here.
You spend a lot of the film wondering who the antagonist is going to be.
And then when you realize it, it's kind of a nice little curveball.
When you realize who the bad guy really is.
We don't want to say it because we don't want to ruin it for anybody.
But I thought that was kind of nice of it.
You know, it kept me guessing a little bit, which is hard to do in these in my old age.
I'm sorry.
I think the the biggest joke for me was a huge acupuncture.
Because as we won't go too deep into it.
But there was a nice little cameo from Hugh Jackman and Alice Eve, how you doing.
And yeah, he has referred to as Hugh Jackman, which, which one of us hasn't told that joke.
I'm just, I'm going to go ahead and say it.
I have told that joke more than once.
But very entertaining storyline.
Exactly.
Visually, it's, it's what you come to expect from this series.
There's some good cameo in there.
You know what we'll get into.
Visual effects wise.
Oh, you get what you expect from this series, which is great visual effects.
I love the special effects, especially in that new museum when they're going through that.
What the color now opens and stuff like that.
It was great special effects.
She could tell in a couple of things if you're adult.
Oh, there's, they did the green screen, like with the old and Wilson, but you have to do that.
But overall, it looked incredible.
The beginning scene where they have this big gala.
The stars and stuff come in through.
Oh, I was just going to say that.
I was just, I was really blown away by the look of the film.

That's one thing I note on that is that the, the look in special effects.
We're just incredible for this film.
I was very, very impressed.
Girls, what do you think about the special effects?
Look, did it look real enough for you?
Yes, I like the little blue sparkly things.
The constellations.
Because it opens with them reopening the planetarium at the New York History Museum.
What I really dug was there were two completely distinct fields between the museums.
Like it was just, you didn't feel like, okay, they could have been anywhere.
You knew when they were in the New York Museum.
You knew when they were in the London Museum.
But there were just two different fields to them.
The London Museum seemed to seem to me to have a lot more art in it, a lot more.
A lot more the, like the Ming dynasty type stuff in the, all the Asia.
The, the walking around elephants and stuff like that.
It was, was really interesting.
But on the, in defense, they really didn't show much of that New York Museum when it comes down to it.
Well, because you've already seen it.
Yeah, you've already seen it and stuff like that.
Right.
You've already seen, you know, a little bit at the beginning, but, you know, it's mostly in London.
So I'll see that in our defense, you know.
And since Chad's not here, I can say this.
They say I like that from London.
I can feel like the New York one seemed to seem to have more, a lot of, a lot of historical stuff.
Like, like, you, you have the dinosaurs and you have the, the cavemen and, and the, and, and a total of the hunt and stuff like that.
Exactly.
Where you go over to the, the British one.
You, I saw a lot more of the art walking around.
Like, like, the, the painted up elephants.
That's all I can seem to remember.
The warrior of the man made the statue versus the natural history.
The statues were awesome.
Oh, yeah.
Some effects with the statues were, was just amazing because it actually sounded like cement walking around.
And it's just the, the fact that visual effects have come this far that they can look that good.
And no, one's seen with the, in a Japanese area to be spoiler free.
Oh, a big battle with a go through Asia.
Exactly.
Yeah.
But you actually see that in the, in the history for the fall.
Well, obviously, but, but it doesn't expect what it is, but it's in the fall.
But yeah, that, that, that was very great special effects on that.
What that scene there.
And you do have to have the, the requisite dinosaur bones seen in that version to which I thought was really cool.
Also, adding to the cast, a young lady who's become a household name in the last four or five years,
Rebel Wilson placed silly the his counterpart at the London Museum.
She's always great.
You know, then Kingsley, who's everywhere.
Yes.
I do love Ben Kingsley.
Exodus.
Yes.
We have a review of.
Apparently I'm now seeing him seeing him in movies that he's not actually in.
So that is true.
But just, there was, it wasn't like they had to add a bunch of people to it.
For me, day and Stevens, who plays Sir Lance a lot.
You'd know him from Downton Abbey.
He was in a movie earlier this year called The Guest.
Recently, he was in a walk amongst the tombstones with Liam Neeson.
Rebel Wilson, you know, from Bridesmaids.
Yeah.
And pitch perfect.
Thank you very much.
Yes.
Which one was like the pitch perfect?
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's back.
Amy on.
Yes.
Actually, Patricia.
Well, I guess it's been long enough to get say that.
But she's, she's always great, especially when you're looking for her for comic relief.
Just an enjoyable experience done.
Anybody, I mean, you can't really talk about standout performance.
It's because everybody in their brothers in this.
Yeah.
But I kind of like the role of Rami Malik who plays the Ferro son.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I thought he, for somebody who's I liked his role.
I thought he really stood out kind of on this thing.
Especially when he kind of about when it's the climax hits,
then how they able to change the look of him.
That's the very, very end on on that rooftop.
It's on the same.
Okay.
Be spoiler free.
Dan Stevens has served.
Lancelot was one of my favorites because he, he acted the role of a,
of a medieval timesman.
And, and of course, being completely dreamy through the entire film.
I'm going to say that.
Rebel, Rebel Wilson for me though.
The way she was as that guard.
She's just pure comedy.
Shout out of comedy.
Am I the only one that when you first meet Dan Stevens's character,
when he pulls the helmet off, was I the only one expecting,
Hemsworth?
I don't know why.
Yeah.
You do see some of it.
You wanted to see the hammer come out.
Yeah.
I just.
Yeah.
The Remy Malik you know from earlier from a movie last year called Short Term 12,
that we very much enjoyed.
He was also part of the Twilight saga.
We don't fault him for that.
I believe he didn't.
He do a stint on 24 as well done.

But great performances all around by this film.
Anybody, any, any other character besides the monkey because monkeys are awesome,
and we all know that.
Ladies, anybody in the film that was like your favorite characters outside of the monkey?
Uh, mine was that dude that was the, that guy that was the twin of,
I don't know, the main character, duh.
Oh, then still there's a killer.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I kept waiting for that to be Tom Cruise.
Yeah.
Because I could see that.
Because Ben still does a very good Tom Cruise.
And I was kind of waiting for that to be him paying him back for traffic thunder.
Right.
But no, it was, it was Ben Stiller.
They, apparently they form a mannequin of the, of the, of the, in the,
the crow magnet man that looks just like him.
And his name is law.
Was that in, uh, two?
No, this was new for this.
Because I remember they, because remember in the beginning they said,
Yeah.
And Ben, by there, because you might want to go look.
The rabbit did three episodes and twenty five.
I thought he's dead.
I remember that's right.
Yes.
Three episodes.
Um, also small roles.
And I got to put this out there because I have a bit of a crush on her.
Rachel Harris.
Very beginning.
She was in the other films, but she was in this.
I've got a bit of a crush on her.
So I got to throw that shout out.
Who did you like?
Oh, I, I like the two people.
Oh, Steve Cougan and Owen Wilson.
Yeah.
Yes.
They were both very, very good.
But they're, they're also good and all three of them.
Yeah.
And I'm not a huge Owen Wilson fan, but I like him in this role.
And I'm a big Steve Cougan fan.
Exactly.
So being a big Steve Cougan fan, that's just automatically goes there.
The air conditioner system was, yes.
That part was hilarious.
Yes.
Because it was all quiet in the actual thing.
And today, it was all loud and blue and on them.
I did like that.
They were going to.
Ah.
I mean, that was kind of funny for me.
I'm very much enjoyed that.
All this stuff is getting on them.
Wow.
And then he's like, hold my hand.
He's like, hold your hand.
But I got to say to the Empire, this is totally for the whole fan.
Absolutely.
Just like the other two.
And as, as becoming a rarity in, in, in film series.
This is, it gets, it keeps getting better.
Like, I was never like,
Oh, we're doing another one.
Now, here's a question.
I was really, I've really, I've really,
Yes.
My question, which we brought out after the,
the screening was sitting down during the credits.
Is should,
I think there should be the final one.
I agree.
But I just pray that they don't.
Well, when two of your cast members being Robin Williams and
Mickey Rooney have passed,
I think that you really kind of have to end it here.
And I hope they do.
Well, I'm not sure.
But you never know about even played like in the second one.
It all though.
Yeah.
But just knowing that he's not there.
But they can say, well, now it's,
I think it was their way of wrapping it up by bringing them back
for this one.
They could do an offshoot in London with,
You know, they could.
No, that's what worries me.
That I should know.
I know.
They could destroy.
Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait.
No.
I agree with you.
But I'm just worried.
You know Hollywood.
No.
I'm not going to debate it.
But I think Robin Williams played a huge part in,
in all three of the films and that his character
missing out of this will,
will take a lot out of the film.
And one thing that just,
it said in when watching,
and he seems so happy in the movie.
And then what happened in real life?
No.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Life and art often aren't the same thing.
And it was just such a well-done film that,
and the way it ends,
it gives you that finality to it.
And even, you know,
the tagline on the on the one sheet says,
one final fight to save the day.
Let it be that.
Exactly.
Yeah.
You know, let, let this one lie.
Because it was a perfect way to really wrap up this year.
Yeah.
Hollywood listened to us for once.
Do not redo.
We don't know somebody's listening to this show.
Oh, yeah.
We know that happens.
To that person in the Hollywood,
don't let him make a part for.
Do not let him do a remake.
Please, just,
I think this series ended with three
the very best way it could.
And I think it should,
and keep it,
this is the finality.
