Tell us. Wait. Hey y'all, I'm bringing heat.
Beast and all hot topics every week. It is 704 on the East Coast. It is 404 on the West Coast.
It is the 28th of June in the year of our Lord 2015. It is season 5 episode 46 numerically number 305. The clubhouse is live and on the air.
No matter where you are, whether you're on our archive or subscribe on iTunes, we don't care how you win. Or listen. Because you are winning if you're listening.
Good evening. My name is Rob and I remember to hit the broadcast button this week. So if you're listening live on your stream, you're going to get the whole show.
It's not a blast yet. Joining me across the desk as he returns to his workstation. Fresh off of a little bit of a road trip yesterday.
He is chatting. Good time just today. Outside of me pulling a muscle in my abdomen.
Whatever you say to yourself. Getting exposure to that app though was kind of a bit high open for me. Let me talk about that in a tech talk.
Yeah, let's do. We start every show the same way with corrections. And we actually have won this week from last week's show.
I want to thank Don for sitting in for you last week. Did a great job that he gave him the night off. So if he wants to pop into the chat room, he is our fact checker.
That dude's been working really hard these last few weeks. You know, with all the money we're paying him. Yeah, twice as much as we're paying ourselves.
But I want to thank Don for sitting in last week. He did a great job. All the roster.
He's our blue shirt. We franchise tag. But last week I said, we paste played Ronan the destroyer.
He was wrote in the accuser. You sure you want to run in the barbarian? Dude, I was really tired.
I'm not doing a whole heck of a lot better today. It is the beginning of my birthday week. Yes.
Coming up Thursday, I become the ultimate answer for 366 days because I get the leapier. So I want to clarify that. I don't know if everybody is up there.
Okay. If you would like to join us for the festivities one week from tomorrow. July the sixth.
We will be convening at the Alamo draft house in Richardson for a screening of the fifth element. But we like to call Ragnarok 2015 myself and friends of the show Devon Pike and Clay Harrison. We all have birthdays right around each other.
And so that's what we're going to do. The show also shares a birthday with me. Mike guitar player, Kenny Belcher, his birthday is on the fourth of July.
A lot of birthdays around this time here because it gets cold in November. So I'm saying. So there's that.
Anything else that you may have noticed in your. Your march around the show from last week? No, no.
I don't even know if I remember catching that. She'll tell us how well I pay attention. Let's get right in the NASCAR.
Today was the Toyota Save Mart 350. That's two different entities. I'm sure you probably saved somebody buying a Toyota.
I don't know. I don't sell cars. But here are your results.
Top 10 finishers in the number nine Ford Sam Hornish Jr. Doesn't that sound like his family makes spam? That's Hornel or hammer or something.
In ninth place in the number 31. Chevrolet. Ryan Hello, Newman.
Which now takes on a whole new meaning for us. Sir. Hello, Newman.
Twisted Route. Oh, oh, oh, oh. By the way, Sam Hornish Jr.
started in 24th line up at 10. Newman started in 16th and one up at 9th. Starting in 26th and winding up in 8th.
In the number five Chevrolet is Casey Kane. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Still hanging around in the top 10.
In the number 88 Chevrolet starts in 20th finishes in 7th. Jimmy Johnson, six times six times six times six time six time six time six time six time six time six time Spring cup champion, starts in 13th winds up in six. Starting in 19th and winding up in fifth in the number 22 Ford.
Joey Logano. Kevin Harvick in the number four Chevrolet starts in 17th winds up in fourth. Clint Bowyer in the number 15 Toyota.
Shenanigans. Starting in six wind up in the bronze metal Kurt Boosh. In the number one 41 Chevrolet starts in second winds up in second.
And starting in 11th and winning the race in the number 18 Toyota. Shenanigans. Because they're the sponsor of the race.
Kyle Boosh. Let's go to your current point standings. You do realize sort of that we're over the halfway mark now.
In the season. Also some of you caught this last week's show. The NBC network of channels.
Pretty much has every race from here on out. They're really trying to make a go this and see NBC sports thing. Right now your odd man out is Denny Hamlin in 13th.
He's a hundred and seventy eight points out. And Paul Manard yes that Manard, both stay in 13th and twelve respectively. Jeff Gordon drops one to 11 Kurt Boosh trades places with him.
Casey Caine and Matt Kenziff trade places to 98th. Jamie McMurray stays where he is in seventh. Brass Ed şey Kid's Las the same age where that year is In sixth.
Deibe college his reading spot wouldn't either be been six times six times six times six times six times six timesdish juice in Jazz Series Stage. Your top three stay the same. Joey Logano and third, and Martin Shuex Jr.
is 53 points behind Kevin Harvick at this point. But still plenty of time to get caught up. You know next week is the big holiday week.
So next week we will be back at Daytona for the Coke 0 400 powered by Coca-Cola. Is that kind of redundant? Yeah.
That's why I was kind of giggling just saying. But you know that's always the big race people enjoy that race every year. And Daytona, you know that's where they had the Super Bowl as the first race of the year.
So there is that. Anything you need to add for that sort that you've heard of that we need to know of NASCAR related? Sometimes do you bring more than a table than you may realize sir.
Now when it comes to NASCAR but all right. No I've got nothing. We are your one stop shop for all things sports entertainment.
Let's go to the entertainment side of the coin. Talk a little TV. Take a sip of my beverage while this thing's in.
Fans of Hannibal. Do not rejoice. Your show has been canceled after three years on NBC.
Because it's a show on NBC and NBC canceled everything. But they did renew Aquarius for a second season, which I cannot understand why because God that shows boring. I'm one episode behind.
The episode called the change is going to come. Okay. Better than the ones before it.
But my problem is. And this is going to sound weird. My problem is with Manson.
I just I don't. The whole Manson storyline to me ways to show down because you know how that's going to end. Yeah.
It could have been. It could have just made somebody up and just framed it around the 60s. Because now the black Panthers are starting to come into play.
Uh, it's. I mean, I'm a big do company fan. I'm kind of interested how this is going to work with this expiles thing, but I think that expiles thing because it's just a limited run.
So. I just I don't know. I just I'm going to stick with it.
I couldn't. I tried. I tried and I tried.
And. After a handful of episodes on like this. This feels like it's just stuck in the mud.
The just felt like it was just spinning its wheels and flinging mud everywhere. And I wanted to like it. I mean, I went in with like relatively low expectations, but it couldn't even meet that.
Yeah, it's just one of those things that you're just kind of like. You want it to be good. So bad.
That. It's just not getting there for me. But I'm going to stick with it.
See where it goes. Did you get this one yet? Keep me.
Huh? Did you get this one yet? Which one?
Why I chose this one? For Hannibal? Who does it?
Oh, for the love of God. Moving on. Ah.
Ah. So the whole Donald Trump thing. He announces his run for president.
We find out that all the people that were at his rally were paid actors. NBC is distancing from him. They have canceled their contracts with the mis-universe, mis-USA pageants, and the apprentice.
And he's actually threatening to sue univision for it, which is an NBC universal network. Right? And there are, and every court's going to go, no, they have rights.
They have to. I want to cancel you. They can cancel you.
Because. And I get it because on a certain level, it can be seen as a conflict of interest. Someone who has a presence on your network running for president.
Plus, they don't want him trying to dictate their programming. Right. You know, I get it.
Well, I'm just saying. Just the timing seems a bit auspicious. I agree.
But they're a private police. They're probably held company. They don't have to answer.
They're not a government company. So they have to, they have to protect their own interest. So.
So lip sync battles. If you caught some of those, very fun to watch on Spike TV. They have announced their matchups for the second half of CSB season.
One on the run sheet. Hosted by LL Cool Jay. And also featuring the Chrissy Teagan.
And you know what? I'm starting to come around on her. So I've always been a fan.
I've been kind of like, I mean, I don't see the big deal. But she's got this cool factor to her. That's what I can't say.
And you know, some of our intelligence are, yeah, that ring. I bought it. Don't hate.
I'm John Legend. But your lip sync battles will return next Thursday, July 9. With Allison Brevers' will our net.
So you know I'm in. That's going to be a net. Very unhealthy.
A crush on Allison Brevers. And I think we're on that's a very funny man. July 16th.
Justin Bieber versus Dion Sanders. Could you be more out? You.
If silver and gold versus baby baby. If that if the off Sanders lip sync silver and gold, you know you're going to be back yet. You know you're going to be back yet.
I'm not so sure that I'm out. Just put the train Rick factor. At least put it out.
Okay. Or what if Bieber does silver and gold? And Dion does baby.
I look at this way. At least our chances of actually hearing Bieber sing or mill are minimal. Oh, you know what I mean.
July 23rd. Andy Cohen versus Willie Geist. I mean, Andy Cohen.
I know who he is from Bravo is. Willie Geist is one of those project one way guys. I was about to ask you.
I don't know who either one of these guys aren't that a program. Okay. And then there's here's another one.
July 30th. Victoria Justice versus Greg Sulkin. I don't know either one of these people.
And then August 6th. Abby Jacobson versus Alana Glazer. Don't know who they are either.
August 13th. Iggy Azalea versus Nick Young. Okay.
Why is this interesting? Should it be? Nick Young known as swahy pee from the Los Angeles Lakers.
They're engaged. Oh, they are. I didn't know that.
You proposed about three weeks ago. And August 20th. The season finale is a two part of that will air back to back.
Which you couldn't be more in on it. You tried. Big time.
As Taraji P. Henson takes on her empire co-star Terent Howard. And this looks sick.
I love this show. I wish you could have seen. I don't did you see the Queen Latifa episode.
Where she took out Marlin Wands. And she didn't rock the bells. And didn't tell LL Cool Jay.
She was doing it. No, I don't know what I didn't see. She hit play on this boom box.
Really guys. It's on the today show. Okay.
And LL Cool Jay. The look on his face was class. Like, no, she did.
And she was sad. And her little interstitial. She was like.
You know, hard. I had to work to sneak this around him because he's everywhere on this. Is he also a producer?
Yes, he is. Along with the great John Cresinski and the great Steve Merchant. Who are both great on that show as well.
All right, we have Marvel TV news. We told you earlier that Marvel was not going to be at San Diego Comic Con. Marvel TV is going to be there with ABC.
Because they're going to have agents of shield and agent Carter will both have a presence there. Okay. The Marvel film.
Not so much Marvel TV. Yes. And then news that I don't know how this affects you or not.
Howard Stern, leaving America's got talent after this year. Are you still in on that show or not really? Did he mean America's got talent?
Yeah. I would watch it. Then I would say.
It's it's it's I don't know if you mean America's got talent or Howard Stern show. No, I've got no as much money as he's making off that show. But his America's got talent money is walking around money in comparison to what he's making.
Yeah. I watch it on occasion. I'm not a devoted follower of it.
So fans of America's got talent. She'll have a new judge next season. I think I think they've got two minutes.
Do they have like four or five now? It seems like it seems a bit excessive. I thought it was just.
Jim Sharon Osborn and Melby far as I know both of those are gone because Heidi claims on that show now. How how we mandels on that show now. I want to say they got four or five judges now.
Well, I know Nick Cannon is the is the on stage host. Yes. He's got a judge.
He replaced Regis. And I know I showed that you're very interested coming to Fox's screen Queen's. It was announced this week that the debut will be September 22nd at 9 o'clock Eastern.
That week of September 22nd is basically Fox's entire debut week. It'll start Monday and then it'll wrap up Sunday with the premieres of animation domination and Brooklyn 99. A lot of the networks unveiling their false schedules this week.
I didn't see a whole lot of shuffling. Flash will still be on Tuesday nights. Arrow will still be on Wednesday nights.
Looking forward to those starting. Yes. Well, so glad you're caught up.
Yeah, no kid. Almost killed me, but I did it. And then some interesting news.
I read today. We talked about a few weeks ago that the Punisher will be involved in Daredevil season 2. But by John Bernfall apparently he's going to be the villain.
Well, I can kind of see that. I mean, it's not exactly like they're going to be on the same page with each other. That's pretty cool though.
I kind of like the how you're doing that. That you're making him like this dark heavy. It's her any versus vigilante.
Mm-hmm. I mean. Yeah.
I've met that. I have not watched it. I need her.
I've had it. God knows I've had stuff to do. I've had the whole series this day one.
Have you yet to watch it? Yeah. So there's that.
Any other TV headlines that you want to cover before we move on? I'm just waiting for the next round of NBC shows to be canceled. I know this is just round six.
It's life for you the downtime between NBC cancellation. Yeah. It's just the inevitable news because it seems like they are the most trigger-happy network on television to pull the trigger.
I do know that Gotham season 2 is filming now. So they've started filming season 2. And they've cast a Tigris in season 2.
I hope they up there game on season 2. I just didn't like that they gave you the end of the season finale and the trailer for the season finale. And they'll do that.
They'll do that. Like really dude. So that show was not exactly what I was hoping for.
I hope they are able to curve it around. Well, I'm hoping kind of DC looks at what's going on with this other properties and goes. Yeah.
Let's up to game a little bit for season 2. I just don't know. I don't know if you can ever cross those over.
I don't know that flash or hair. Arrow may be. They want to cross over flash to super girl on CBS.
Well, that would work. You know. It has the same seal.
I don't think you can cross them over with Gotham because of the age difference. Because if they're all supposed to be around the same age by the time Justice League has. Yeah.
Yeah. That's true. You're dealing with almost two completely different timelines.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast. We are live every Sunday night. 70's from four Pacific may or may not have a show next week.
It's going to kind of depend on what's going on. So pay attention to our social media feeds for that. But the week after that, July was at the 12th.
That's going to be our season finale for season five. Because July 13th will officially be the fifth anniversary of the pilot episode of the clubhouse. Can you believe that?
We'll get started on season six. So be with us for that. Visit our website www.theclubhousepodcast.com.

I am chat at the clubhousepodcast.com. Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest because we are morally obligated to say that. And Jules Wamaketsum some Jules time yesterday.
Yes, she did. So that means we need to move on to POI, which stands for person of interest. It is a segment we do on this show where we talk about a person or entity and debate their greatness or lack thereof.
Pendulum swings back to me this week. And I want to talk about something that happened this past week. I know you haven't had a chance to witness it.
But I do want that we talked about this probably a month ago. But I want to now revisit it because it has happened and it is WWE tough enough. Finally got caught up today.
There were two have I watched the competition special. Which got the last 15 minutes got cut off because Chris Lee knows best ran weight. But caught him.
And ever a show needed overflow. It is that one. And then I watched the first of the actual, they got it narrowed down to 12 people.
Your trainers are Booker T. Lida, which could see her again. And Billy Gunn.
They are the ones putting all these contestants through the paces. They live in kind of a barric situation. But their living quarters are actually at the WWE Performance Center.
Okay. There are I want to say six women and seven men something like that. And the way it works is they'll show you everything that's happened in the previous week.
Because there's two challenges per week. And then they go live to a studio at Full Cell University where your judges are Daniel Bryan, Hulk Hogan and Paige. And your hosts are Chris Jericho and Renee Young.
Sounds good. Sounds like solid. So once you finish the free tape stuff, all the contestants are in the live studio.
And each judge picks a person to go into the final to the bottom three. Then they have live voting. Whether you're on the app, you can also vote on Twitter or you can actually do text message voting.
You can do one vote per outlet I guess you could call it. Okay. They do that during the commercial and they come back and they tell you the votes.
But before they tell you the votes, Jericho gives each judge an opportunity to get one save to use for the entire season. In this particular episode, spoiler alert if you haven't watched it. None of them use their save.
And they sent this big lug guy home, which I'm pretty sure they were going to send home because he was one of these. I'm the one the biggest guys in the house. So, you know, I should be the one that wins this thing.
He's got that. And there's this smaller guy, not his name is Tanner. He's bigger than Daniel Bryan.
But he won both challenges for the men. And there's how I'm like, oh, you know I big enough. You can't win this thing.
I'm like, do you not watch the programming? Size doesn't matter. Now, Rey Mysterio was the world champion.
Daniel Bryan, by the way, one of the judges was world champion. So, way to alienate one of your judges. Right, genius.
Now, I did not watch tough talk, which is on the WWE network, which is like their post show that the Miz host. Like the talking dead. Pretty much.
Okay. Of course the Miz host that. I don't know how I feel about this show yet.
Have they changed it too much for you? Is it too much of a different experience? It's weird.
I see them kind of biting the chunk of the ultimate fighter a little bit. When they did their show like quote unquote live. But I can't say it's not an improvement over the way it used to be.
I mean, I really did like that last season they did with Austin and Trish Stratus and Booker T. And Bill Demont, who shall not be named. But I'll tell you what, when they were doing the competition special, I thought he was there.
Because they had a couple of over the shoulder shots. And I realized that it's Matt Boone, who you know is Albert. He's one of the trainers at the Performance Center.
Okay. And there was a couple of shots where he looks like Bill Demont. It was kind of weird for me.
He might want to go get a makeover. But I can't say I'm totally in right now. There's a guy from Dallas in it.
Oh, really? It was Matt. There's a girl from Brazil in it.
There's a girl from Australia in it. There was a girl from California who I really wanted to be in it. And then there was a medical problem.
She had to be taken out of the competition for medical reasons named Ashley. She was kind of like AJ meets Paige meets Eva Marie. Wow.
Yeah. I just don't know how I feel about it yet. Haven't decided.
I mean, I'm going to stick with it. Did you know how I am with shows when I started watching them? Yeah.
Very hard for me to bail until maybe three or four seasons later. But. I don't know.
I'll check it out. I'll stay with it and see what happens. I thought Paige had an interesting one.
She was choosing her person to put in the bottom three. She said this person starting to form a click with some other people. And I need that click broken up.
I really, I think that I was a little worried about the, I thought that Hogan was going to try to hugen the thing. Just hijack and make it his show. I mean, granted, he does sit in the middle.
Of course. But he definitely gives leeway to the other judges, which I really like. And he does know how to drag it out.
Because Jericho asked him if he was going to use his save and he goes, You know, Chris, the more I'm thinking about it's. No, I'm not going to use my save. I don't like it.
He does know how to drag it out. He knows how to see crest the thing. But I can't say it's stellar.
But I can roll with it. Does that make sense? Yeah, it makes sense.
So we'll see how it works out from here. I like how they're not doing. The challenges aren't like cheesy wrestling challenges.
Like the first challenge they were at the soccer field in Orlando. And they basically had to do two sprints. Or total three sprints up and down the field.
But they were, they had one of those running parachutes attached to him. Oh God. Then after that, they had to go back down the field again.
But carrying a bag of sand that matched their weight. God. Once they got done with that, they had to run all the way to the top of the stadium where Billy gun was standing.
So it's not like, oh, you need to cut a promo. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. These are physical challenges.
And the second challenge they were actually in the ring. They had to run the ropes three times. Then do pushups over a body bag and pick up and slam the body bag.
And then do that as many times they can until Booker T determine they were gas and had to get out of the ring. Till Booker T determine they were gas. Correct.
But I just, I really, I'm enjoying it. I can't say I'm loving it. So while I keep you posted, we're not going to do a whole segment on tough enough.
Like we used to do with the ultimate fighter. Because by the time it gets, we get to that. I mean, that should air us on Tuesdays.
So by the time we get to do the show, it's wrong. I mean, unless something really cool happens, I'll just tell you I'm keeping up with it. But it is in its infancy.
So you can't. It truly is. I mean, it truly truly is.
Like I said, I don't hate it. I just don't love it. Because I was able to make that call on.
Aquarius, a lot quicker than you're able to make this call on tough enough. And Jericho seemed to fumble a little bit. Which is odd for him.
Well, it's because I think it's because he, he doesn't, he's not used to having somebody in his ear. Because as the host of, and I hate to call it a game show, but it kind of is, you have somebody in your ear constantly telling you things. And I think that's going to be a learning curve for him.
Because when he's on WB television, just whatever he wants. But to be under the direction of somebody and on somebody else's clock, it's a bit of an adjustment for him. So this kind of speaks volumes for whether or not he'd be good on the, on the mic at the table.
Yeah, it's a fair point. He's good at spontaneity, but whenever he has to, I'm being told that the show isn't streaming. No, I mean, I've got signal and I've got a clock running.
Yeah, Brian's supposed to be, he says he's listening, but he says the show isn't streaming. But how is he listening? It might have been before, but maybe not now.
Because I'm getting, I'm getting a full signal. Huh. Let me try that maybe, let me stop the, stop the broadcast and restart it, but not stop the record.
So we'll stop that, we'll start it again, and see if that helps. Because I'm getting stuff going on. So, I'm not sure.
Hmm. Toopty. Brian, let me know if you hear anything.
It's crazy. Because this week is not my fault. Like, I've got it going.
I have audio, I've got levels moving. I did remember to click it this week. All right, we're ready to move on, do a little, little bass ball to talk in.
Yes, sir. Oh, bass ball. Did you catch last week that we have selected our contestant for America's Famer game show this week?
No. Yeah, we have a contestant. We can't use the Houston Astros this year, because they're leading the division.
So I've screwed everything up. I know, I screwed it up. Trying to figure out what, let's go in on here.
Here we go. Just running a little slow on me today. So I can get us our standings currently.
It's just weird. I wonder maybe he's having a problem on his end. Because I'm seeing everything moving.
Let's see. Major League, bass ball. Oh, and while we're waiting for that, congratulations to our women's World Cup team.
Making the final four. And now the, what is it? The third and fourth place are playing on Saturday and first and second place are playing on Sunday.
This coming weekend? Oh, I don't know. I don't know.
I think Mikey looked it up, and I think that's how it's going to shake down. Current standings in the American League East. Boy, the Boston Red Sox are struggling.
They are nine games below 400 or 500. They have a 442 winning percentage. They're eight games back.
They are seven games behind Toronto. So let me frame this for you. The top four teams in the American League East are all within one game of each other.
Wow. Toronto is one back. The Yankees and Baltimore are both a half game back.
Baltimore kind of surging with seven and three in their last 10. But Tampa Bay has a half game lead right now. In the AL Central, the Chicago White Sox 10 games below 500.
They're 13 out. They are a game and a half behind Cleveland. Cleveland has lost two and a row.
They're three and seven in their last 10. Cleveland is five back on Detroit Detroit. A game back on Minnesota.
Minnesota is five and a half back on KC right now. Kansas City. Somebody told them they were a baseball team.
Not sure when that happened. Because I remember the time when we were like. They're high school teams.
They're pretty low. And in the National League East. By the way, it's the.
No. Okay. Yes.
The Oakland A's are 10 games below 500. But they're 10 games back in the division. And what's really crazy is they have the second best run differential in the division.
And they're in last place. But that's again. That's how that even possible.
The Seattle Mariners are a game behind them. The Mariners are four back on your Texas Rangers. By the way, your Texas Rangers have a run differential of minus three right now.
Even though they're two and eight in their last 10. Their home record is five four below 500. Sir.
The Rangers are a game behind. The Los Angeles Angels of Ana, Ohio, Los Angeles County, California, America, North America, Earth, Milk, you. And the Angels are four back on the Houston Astros.
Hmm. It's amazing what happened when you changed the league, isn't it? In the National League West, the Colorado Rockies are eight games below 500.
They're nine back in the division. Dorado is two and a half back on San Diego, San Diego is a half game back on Arizona, Arizona, five back on San Francisco, and San Francisco is only a game back on Misty's beloved Dodgers right now. In the central division, Millawakay is almost 20 games below 500.
How many? They're 29 and 48, sir. And given that they're a conflict of interest, I've always wanted why they don't do better.
They are seven games back on Cincinnati, Cincinnati, as five games back on the Cubs. The Cubs are only two back on the Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, or Pittsburgh, with the Pirates. The Pirates are eight and a half back on John Anderson's beloved San Luis Cardinals.
So the Cardinals are playing a still playing good ball, and in the only division that matters the National League East, the team in last place by the National League East, by the way, is this year's contestant. They are the Philadelphia Phillies, they are 26 and 50 right now, they're 16 and a half back. They're four and a half up on my beloved Marlins, we're 28 and they're last 10.
My beloved Marlins are five and a half back on Atlanta and Atlanta three back on the Metz. The Metz now, three and a half back on Washington, who, by the way, have one eight in a row. The senators have one eight in a row, the nationals, sir.
The senators became the Rangers, if you remember. So I really need to buy a schedule. Are you ready for this week's game?
Yes, because America's favorite game show is back and it is. What is the run differential for the Philadelphia Phillies? And can I say how happy I am that we're able to use the Phillies for this game?
Because I hate the Phillies. All right, so, Chad, you're the only one here, so I need to know your prediction. What was it last week?
I'm not telling you. Because that would give you an unfair advantage. How did you give me an unfair advantage?
Because I didn't tell anybody in the room last week what it was the week before. 66. Minus 66 is Chad's guess.
The Philadelphia Phillies, as we said just a moment ago, are 26 and 50. Their win percentage is 342. They're 60 and a half games back in the division.
They're 17 and 21 at home. Their road record is 9 and 29. Oh, right here.
God. They've lost three in a row. They're four and six in their last 10.
They're run differential. It's only down four runs from last week. So if you know what last week's total was, which obviously don't.
Minus 126, oh god. The closest team to them is the white socks at minus 81. God.
Best in the league right now. Oh no, it's St. Louis at plus 95.
So you could give their get run differential to Philly and Philly would still be down 31. I'm just saying. Ouch.
Yeah. That's the way baseball goes there. I'm saying.
You always know the clubhouse podcast. We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment. Hope you're all doing well, getting ready for the big holiday.
We can coming up. If I don't tell you, my animals are coming to town. Oh, really?
Yeah. Come spend those on time with us. We're going to head out to the west side when they're going to be here.
Sometime around July 4th, we don't know for sure yet. But I think we're going to try to watch the fireworks from Texas Motors Speedway. So that's really fun.
I've heard that the fireworks are amazing. Bring ear plugs. Oh, we can see it from my brother in Los House.
I was here not actually going to the... Oh, I don't know. But I know that from his upstairs room, we can see TMS.
Okay. Just like, you know, just like Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house. We can see TMS from his house.
So. All right, let's get into music because the big story of the week. Oh boy.
Oh boy. Peep off, did he daddy? What are you doing?
You've been waiting for this one. Oh, I've been waiting for this. So peep off, did he daddy and Snoopy Dog Dog's kids go to the...
Boco to UCLA. Okay. Well, peep off, did he daddy?
Apparently has become a... What they call a helicopter dad. You know what this term refers to?
The kind of person that just kind of hovers around their child and doesn't live them have a life of a child. Exactly. What are the...
Hover's around the football practices. And this coach, Sal Alosy, who I'm really trying to feel bad for, but I want you to think back about three or four years, Dolphin's Jets. Dolphin's receiver running up the sign line gets tripped by a coach.
You remember this? Vagly. It's this guy.
Oh, wow. So he's getting on peep off, did he daddy's kid, because he's not trying hard. He tells him, like, you think I'm going to treat you differently because you're puppies kid.
You're out of your mind. You're going to get treated just like everybody else. And if you can't cut it, you'll be cut from his team just like anybody else.
Peep off, did he daddy? Crazy. And the worst part of this thing.
For me, allegedly from what people are saying, the guy holds his hands up to show, hey, I'm not doing anything here. Peep off, did he daddy runs himself into the guy's hand and says the guy put his hands on. Oh, please.
Three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, because he threw a kettlebell at the guy. He's sworn a kettlebell. You want a kettlebell?
A kettlebell? A kettlebell. You know these things are?
You see him at Walmart? They've got the handle on him. And it's just a solid weight.
It's like solid lead. Uh-huh. That's a kettlebell.
Just one one of these at this guy. What is that doing on the practice? It's string to conditioning.
Oh, it's string to conditioning. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. So he was also charged with terrorist threats and embattory.
Now, UCLA says they don't want to press charges. Because they probably figured they're going to get the Peep off, Diddy Daddy Athletics Center out of this. And you know what?
If you want to write a check in there, cool with that? Who am I to judge? But it better come with a public apology and him promising to stay away from practice.
You can come to games all you want and sit up in the owner's box. Stay away from practice unless you are a coach on the field. You know, when former co-host of the show Cody Hawkins used to talk about, you know, J.R.
being at practice and getting in the ear of Adrian Peterson. The coach allows that. That's different.
You peep off, Diddy Daddy are basically a fan. So if you're going to come to practice, shut your mouth. Yeah, a fan who apparently doesn't know what the term boundaries means.
Because nobody's helped them to him. Just so it's ridiculous. And I hear stuff about this all the time in, in like a city sports and stuff like that where, you know, parents want to get involved in the game.
And I'm like, you're you're just a spectator. Unless your kid is injured, and you want to check on the condition of your child physically. I can understand why a parent would it would.
Right. I get that. Yeah, that I understand.
But anything else you want to whisper in the coaches. You're in say that your kid's not getting in a field time. Sit down, shut up.
Not your decision. This doesn't involve you. It's just, I don't know.
But there is the argument that this been anybody else. There would have been charges. There would have been this.
There would have been that. Yeah. If it was just Joe Schmucka tellies dad.
Yeah. Don't say it. New album coming out from these guys.
I do like this version of this song. You're raising your eyebrows. It's from sir.
You don't like this version of this? The original is kind of sacred to me. Well, I love the original.
But I like, and this is disturbed. Yeah. And they've got a new album coming out.
It'll be their sixth album August 21st. It's called Immortalized. I like their stuff.
They remember they did a version of Stone Cold Seat. That one point. Yeah.
Yeah. What in front of that? I like these guys.
So. And then probably a story that I think you're going to enjoy. Coming out of one of your favorite sections of the country.
Little wine. No. There's a concert in Minneapolis on First Avenue.
Not at First Avenue. On First Avenue. On First Avenue.
Okay. Where he knows shows it. Because I will say this.
The club did a press release. And this press release was gorgeous. This press release could not have written been written better if they tried.
Basically, the club he was performing at has a policy for the protection of their people, which I get. Uh-huh. No matter who you are, you get search when you come in the door.
Apparently his entourage refused to be searched. And so. Weasy decides he's not going to do the chef.
So he did the crowd of favor. Well man. He's got everybody's got fans.
People could say the same thing about us. When we miss a week. But.
Am I personal belief? This club needs to take him to court and he has to pay them the lost revenue. I agree.
100% I agree. Because I don't care who you are. If you're an entourage, first of all, you're nobody.
You're just a dude around a dude. You're a hangar's on. Number two.
What makes you think you're above being searched? That's all I'm saying. Because if you don't want to be searched.
Yeah. You got nothing to hide. You got nothing to worry about.
It makes me all the more lary of you. Why do you? Why do you think you're above being searched?
Because everybody else seems to be okay with it. Didn't bother me none. You know, just don't get real intimate with me.
And I think we're fine. Just another reason for me to despise the guy. I already can't stand him.
So. He's wanting to know on around the horn. Nickelback has to cancel the rest of their no fix to dress to her this past week.
After it is discovered that lead singer Chad Kruger has to have surgery on an operable cyst on his voice box. Yeah, that'll end a tour. You know, and they said an email because I got this in an email before it.
It was actually out there out there. And I respect that. You know, again, a lot of people give these guys grief.
And I don't understand it. I mean, we were talking to some gentlemen at a music studio yesterday. And one of them said it best.
This guy is Captain Hook. He writes, well, he's got more hooks in a tackle box this guy. And is some of it formulaic?
Yes. But I still enjoy it. Yeah.
You know, I just hate guys pee and all over this band. It really hacks me off. Because I said it yesterday.
And I'm going to say it right here live on these airwaves. They are what deaf leopard was in the 80s with better lyrics. They are arena rockers that are out there having a good time.
I'm sorry that they're not writing the unforgiving. I think people bust their chops just because it seems like the cool thing to do. I agree with you.
Because nobody was doing all this when how you remind me was being played every five minutes on radio. They were the next big thing back then. They do good stuff.
And I enjoy it. I've seen them live three times. I'd go again given the opportunity.
And I shouldn't say it. So we wish Mr. Kruger a very, very speedy recovery, but not more.
No, so speed that he doesn't completely heal exactly. You know, take your time. Because I just, I enjoy their work.
I'm just saying. And we've seen one too many occasions where a condition like this has ended a career. We go from news that makes me sad to news that makes me incredibly happy.
You know, I'm a huge James Taylor fan. Yes. Have been for almost 25 years.
And I want to thank my good friend and Atlanta Georgia Larry Gray who got me turned on the James Taylor after I graduated high school. Because these were those artists. I don't think you get into your older.
Now, has his very first number one on billboard in his 45 year career, which blows my mind. His new album before this world sells 97,000 units. Don't have one yet, but I will be at owner of it very, very soon.
Because you know, he's fan. He's seeing him live is one of my bucket list items. Just can't afford it.
But it's his best since debut since 2002's October road, which is a very good album. That, that debut had 154,000 units. How do you sell that many units and not hit number one?
I don't understand it. I have to see what that was opening again, especially in this day. Yes.
So congratulations to the great James Taylor who I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of. It's his very first. I think he, he now has the record and I think the record used to be held by Maiden.
Long as time before first number one. Maiden as in Iron Maiden really? And I think like Carlos Santana comes in third.
Erasmith fourth. I think that's the top four. Because remember, Erasmith didn't have an actual number one on the billboard charts.
Until I don't want to miss a thing. Really? Huh?
I mean, that's way into their renaissance. Think about that. I figured that.
And Carlos Santana didn't have one till smooth. Ali. I can't believe that that Erasmith didn't have one on permanent vacation or...
I could be wrong. But to my knowledge, that's your top four. Wow.
I would have sworn that they would have had something in the late 80s after walk this way. Rick Ross. Rick your rosé.
That's the kid's like the colon. It was also arrested this past week for kidnapping, assault, and battery. God.
Apparently got into an argument with his groundskeeper. Whom he then allegedly pistol whipped. And then wouldn't let him leave the grounds.
So he really is a shugnight in training. I got my opinions on my hold of back, just because I enjoy life. I don't worry about Rick Ross showing up in my room.
And then I see a story today on the internet about all the revenue he's losing. You did this yourself. I feel like sorry for you is not on my agenda.
You don't got to be kidding. No, it's out there. I saw today.
He was crying about losing revenue. There was a sore ass. I don't know if it was hammer.
Somebody was reporting on it. But it was there. We're going to move on to new music new releases and places you get music new releases this week.
Can we all be happy for Neil Young? The monthsato years. I just, I'm not.
I don't get the Neil Young thing. I thought that was going to be another one of those out get it when I'm older. I'm older and I still don't get it.
He's got like the Kermit thing happening and I think Kermit doesn't better. Great songwriter. Don't get me wrong.
But he should be saying. Just saying. Miguel remember this guy.
This was the kid that accidentally kicked the girl in the head at the billboard awards. We jumped over the crowd. He didn't kick her in the head.
He closed liner with his, with his crotch. Oh, is that what it was? Yeah.
He has a brand new album called Wild Heart this week. And the wine? Oh, yay.
And see, it says free weasy album. And I don't know if it's free weasy or if it's a free album. I haven't decided which one that actually is.
I thought his Nick Dev was going to be the Carter 4 part 2 or some crab. So remember we went, I want to do a whole tirade about that. But those are your music releases that I recognize this week.
Are you ready for this next segment, sir? I don't know. Am I?
I'm asking you. Are you? Because it's time for in memoriam.
4 huge ones this week. We went from famine to feast in this thing. Table that looked at table that first one.
You want to table the first one? Yeah, because I think that's the one I'm going to talk about the most. We will start with the other guy that died the same day as him.
The guy that we're going to talk about in a minute. The great Dick van Patton who I'm a huge fan of. Born December 9th, 1928 passed away last Tuesday.
Everybody knows him mostly from eight is enough. The dad is eight is he was the dad. I love that show.
Loved that show. Diet from complications of diabetes. Mary did the same woman since 1954.
Wow. That's impressive. The great Pat van Patton.
Diet at the age of 86 this week. This was a guy that I really felt. He kind of got it.
You know what I mean? Like he knew when to stay and he knew when to get out. His mother was of Italian descent.
His father has Dutch and English ancestry. Started work as a model and actor as a child. Made his Broadway debut at the age of seven.
Good God. Yeah. He was actually in something called the Y2K a world in crisis.
Was there many series with Richard Anderson, Hugh O'Brien, Richard Roundtree, and Deborah Winters. But he was in 1935. He was in tapestry and gray with Melvin Douglas.
He was a build his Dicky van Patton back then. He did a lot of work in Broadway as a teenager. Moved on the television in 1949 with the CBS series Mama.
Ran four. Let me do my math here about eight years. Which was actually twice as long as eight nut is enough.
Ran four. Is this him like eight in a house of a round frog? I know.
I think it's because it got so much. In syndication. He was also.
I did not know this from 1993 to 1995. He was a commentator for the world series of poker. How about that?
There's a lot of people that wrote that title wave. He was also an animal enthusiast. Co-founded the natural balance pet food to brand in 1989.
Founded National Guide Dog Month, began in 2008. I mean, this is a guide that never heard a bad word about. The two highlights outside of eight is enough that I always think of.
Okay. Are his cameo appearance in weirdo yank of ex videos? Uh-huh.
And playing the ruler of the planet in space balls at Princess Vespa was Princess. I'm basically just that she was his daughter if I'm not mistaken. Was he not the king of that planet?
I think so. Yes. Oh, in space balls?
Yes. I mean, I mean, David's in from Days of Haryloch. And his other son is married to former Baywatch regular Nancy Valley.
So he's Good Night. Strong genes there. Got his hot star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1985.
This was one that I was just like man, like bad enough. What happened earlier in that day? Which we'll talk about here in a moment.
But man. To have it happen both of those. Both of those guys in the same day, and then on Monday of last week Nature boy buddy Landel I mean you and you talk about you on the way about this the week after dusty road 53 Was nature the original nature boy buddy Landel First became an interesting and professional wrestling when his sister was dating Barry Orton Randy's grandpa about to say And the two educational wrestling when he came over to visit he was an amateur wrestler in high school and dropped out his junior year He was teaching with Boris Malenko sir as in Dean's dad's about to say that had to be Dean's father lived in a apartment with an Olympian Bob Roup started his career in 1979 in mid-South Also worked at international championship wrestling.
He went to the NWA in 85 and was part of James J. Dylan's original stable God think about that Some good pedicum And he actually wrestled flare in July 1985 that match at and Rally North Carolina broke Elvis Presley's attendance record in that arena dear God He won the NWA National Heavyweight Championship from Terry Taylor in 1985 He was actually supposed to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from Flair that same year But he had a falling out with crocket and left a company He saw he went back to Tennessee in 1986 worked a lot with mid-South and the Alabama Territories in 87 and 88 He was also at one time managed by by Andy Kaufman Jim Cornet and Jimmy Hart Came back he was part of that That storyline came back to the NWA in 90 and wrestled flare in a battle of the nature boys in a gauntlet match The storyline was dropped after three months because of land else personal problems in early 91 He was under consideration for membership in the York foundation Went back to the independence in 91 and it was gonna reach on nature boy buddy Rogers for the tri-state title Worked in Smokey Mountain in 94 and 95. I mean this guy worked a long time He actually went to the WWF and started the same day as a guy known as the Ringmaster Oh no, yep tried to use a very similar age to Flair even using Flair's early 90s WWF entrance music He made his raw debut defeating Bob Holly.
He also beat Matt Hardy and Chris Michaels Russell Brett Hart in a championship match on January 13th 1996 Then he got injured shortly after was out for six months and then he only just worked a little bit after that Big fan of this guy Loved watching his especially his NWA work. I don't remember his WF work as much but do remember his NWA work Patrick McNe Seriously Like This another one is that just came from on a nowhere for me. I saw this on IMDB and was like what?
He was known he was John Seed in the television version of the Avengers not Marvel's the Avengers But the Avengers that who did that it was Sean Connery, Uma Thurman and Ray Fine. Ray Fine. You play Ray Fine's his character in the original television.
Well actually Ray Fine's played his character. How do you look at it? Born in Paddington London in 1922 His father trained race horses His maternal grandmother was a granddaughter of Hans Francis Hastings 12th Earl of Huntington James I'm mostly remember he did a Olivier's Hamlet He did he had small films in Scrooge in 1951 as the young Jacob Marley He was in leg girls with Jean Kelly But really for me I just know him as From the Avengers He actually produced a documentary series called the valiant years based on the second world war memoirs of Winston Churchill This is a documentary not a biopic.
It says it says documentary series. Okay I forgot he was in a view to a kill Who do you play in a view to a god-free tibet? Totally forgot he was in that and that's when we're walking was the villain, right?
Yes, alias Smith and Jones Love that show Hard to heart murder she wrote love boat Did a Parents of a Twilight Zone in 1959 of course he was on the love boat. He was the leader of the Silence in the original Battlestar Galactica What forgot about that He supplied the the introductory voice over to For the original Battlestar Galactica really before Lauren Green did it I thought I thought it was always Lauren Green Well because remember in the first episode The narrative didn't come to the end of the first episode when When Lauren Green did it because that was what set up the ending of the of the first episode Hmm All right sir, we're up to you This one this one hurt me a lot I mean as as bad as as losing Christopher Lee The week before hurt me This was worse An accidental they rolled to say it was an accidental airplane accident That came down today I don't well shoot on you know if I could call it worse. It's more like one in one eight.
Yeah, because I mean with Christopher Lee You know he was way up there in years and I knew that his his health was getting worse because he couldn't even travel the film He was 61 but yeah, this guy Lee was 93 yeah, but the great James Horner Flying a was it a single engine plane. I believe so Crash is in candle engine short to Conno aircraft crashed in the lowest podress national forest Cause like a one acre fire And I mean they couldn't even recognize them when they found him Just Gills my soul I had just got through watching A documentary about aliens like two days before and he'd be scored that film And you know what a what a trial it was breathing to go through it because there was so much crunch time And he basically had to finish the final cue of the climax of the film the night before the print got locked his father was in the Academy award-winning director Harry Horner He is going to a Jewish family I lost everything where to go He immigrated to the US in 1935 or because a set designer and an occasional art director That was just that was his father Now he's born in very confused. Okay His brother Christopher is a writer and documentary filmmaker Hard to playing piano with the age of five He attended the royal college of music in London Return to America reattended and built a birthday value school in Sedona got his bachelor's degree in music from USC Got a master's degree started working on his doctorate at the university at UCLA After several score a set there's several scoring assignments with the AFI in the 70s He finished teaching of course in music theory at UCLA and subsequently turned off film scoring He apparently he on several airplanes His first film score for 1979 for the lady and red.
I've actually seen that Not a good no Um Worked started his career working for Roger Corman. Yes As did Cameron pretty that'll be on the stars. I liked that fell into Is work they noticed after that where he would go to do Star Trek 2 the wrath of Khan And then he would come back to do Star Trek 4 the undiscovered cut our Star Trek 6 the undiscovered country.
I can't read Roman numerals sometimes He would do 48 hours curl Star Trek 3 commando cocoon aliens Batteries not included willow glory field of dreams American tail land before time don't need to keep going The rocket tier once upon a time And American tail 2 Once upon a forest we're back at dinosaurs story the page master Casper Jumanji Balto Mighty Joe Young The 2000 version of how the green story keep going yeah Braveheart Apollo 13 there you go stupid boat movie Which he won an Oscar for by the way one three Grammys two golden globes for that song We get to someday the perfect storm beautiful mind enemy at the gates the mask of zoro the legend of zoro house of sand and fog By Centennial man Iris radio Bobby drone stroke of genius Did he keep going no by the way he composed the CBS even news theme in 2006 and I think he also Compose the universal fanfare that was used up to 97 Huge loss. Yeah, I mean you've got John Williams Han Zimmer Howard Shore And Not a whole heck of a lot of the old man Yeah, more site or newer generations I guess, but I mean as far as the old guard that's been around since the 70s and 80s There's not a lot of them left There really is not a lot of them left. Hey, I don't even know if you can put Howard Shore in that class as far as it's been around Composing for a long time because for the longest time Howard Shore was working for Saturday night live.
Yeah, he's only recently Done squads the credit though. I can credit. Yeah, cuz he's done some epics, but This guy's career spans such a huge huge period of time um It was it was one of those guys that you always mentioned in the same breath with with Jerry Goldsmith as you do And well heck in a lot of cases Jerry Goldsmith would do one film and James would do the sequel That's how it was with alien and Star Trek So this this cut me deep this cut me to the core because I have a huge appreciation for this guy's body of work All four of these gentlemen will be horribly horribly mess You are listening to the clubhouse podcast live every Sunday night 70s from four Pacific If you miss any section of the show We'll have it available for you on Archive immediately after we go off air and subscribe on iTunes and you get more stuff than other people do just say But it's combined sports and entertainment talk a little professional wrestling Have you seen the spot yet The spot for Jamie Noble no He takes a spear from Lesnar at the end of raw breaks three ribs It was one of these freak accident deals, but me He took it like a champ Last of we knew he was still you know healing up so best our best wishes to Jamie Noble I don't wish that on anybody.
I'm no fan of his character, but he didn't deserve that. I find him funny Last night How show Boston Bow Dallas is in the ring running his mouth and this happens I bet that place was exploded at a house show Apparently Chris Jericho live streamed the whole thing really yeah, so I heard and Yeah Bow Dallas took the rock bottom like a champ you think so yes Congratulations for that. Yeah.
It's good to see Rocky showing up at a house show That'll help yourselves. Yeah. You never know who's going to show up All right, let's talk about raw briefly.
I didn't have much from raw So Seth Rollins comes to the ring JBL says not a soul in this arena is sitting down Except for the four people that were in the camera shot at the Oh Who is like just take half a second and look over your shoulder or look at the monitor metton front of you Like there was two people standing in the four people behind them were just sitting down like eating popcorn I was like oh, JBL. I really worry about him some time And I would just like to say the following Kevin O'Wins is a heel we get it Yeah, they're shoving his heel that's down our throat, and I don't want it adversely affecting this kid But he's good And that's always the risk that you take you're gonna you're gonna make him sick of the you know people sick of him eventually Eric Rowan injured we thought it was they thought he wasn't gonna lose any time But they re-looked at the entry now. He's out four to six months.
Wow and Tyson kid after taking the botched muscle buster from Joe. He's not gonna be out of here Then officially ruled that he would he did undergo successful next surgery yesterday So Tyson kid Godspeed to use her to come back You know he and daddy Kind of just want everybody's prayers right now. So God love him And last week on the show we talked about Ziegler's contract coming up people not sure what was gonna happen.
He's resigned. Okay good So What's what is going on here Okay So I'm just wondering weird with my music bed So but he has restarting. I you've got to look at this and we're gonna talk about this The landscape here in just a moment because things are getting weirder When he when you talk about what Ziegler's options would have been And Adam Rose has she is now hot hot Adam That is how he will be know oh god.
I feel bad for this guy. I do see this because if you watch that E60 quality human being and He's just kind of like the gimmick worked in NXT it just hasn't translated over well And I don't know that Rosa Mendez is the answer there. No, so she's I don't think she's everything answered to anything Smackdown notes.
I want to say this The new day emotes like nobody else If you go back to Smackdown and you watch their backstage segment with bow Dallas Funny they sell it very very and and then trying to teach bow Dallas how to do the clap and bow Dallas having a horrible case of CRD Caucasian rhythm deficiency very funny very very funny And boy Heard something on Smackdown that I have not heard I can't tell you the last time I heard this on Smackdown or any other WWE programming Raw in ex city Monday nights Great seats so available contact ticket master Really? Yes When was the last time you heard them say that on WWE programming? I can't it's been a long time That's not something I don't even think they would even want to admit on television anymore I heard that I was like I can't tell you the last time they actually said we're trying to pimpe tickets for a live event much That's a televised event how show I get that especially if you're t and a but Very strange for me What's speaking of T and A?
Slam a virtualiest tonight in Orlando And they were live this past week on Wednesday night and boy things got interesting. I will say that So if you're you're probably watching the paper view right now if you're interested because It's on so you wouldn't be listening to us, but you know whatever We do want to say congratulations to Matt Hardy he and his lady Reby Sky have had a baby boy this past week so congratulations to those crazy kids Literally and Somebody showed up at impact last week Right at the top of the second hour All of a sudden here's Jeff and Karen Jarrett And I went I have a question Did you almost jump off the chair well he cuts about a 10 minute promo And you remember we I don't remember last week we talked about that they're doing the king of the mountain match tonight That's Lama Vursory okay, we're gonna that back. He's in it There's rumors of an invasion angle with his global force wrestling And it was an interesting promo that he cut because he was just like Do I want to put my toe back in this again and Karen was like you see I'm a lot different to my husband Like she's a very bitter woman So I would think he would be even more bitter than her Well then you have to talk about what the hell is going on with the roster You have at least two people at least three people leaving the company after tonight Really Austin Aries Magnus James storm And two more Being awesome Kong and your current knockouts champion Terran Tarrell who both are denying it on social media So how do we know that it's actually happening then?
Well, no after these tapings run out because the problem you have now is there's a lot of talent that are thinking that the tapings that are gonna happen from July 22nd to July 29th are gonna be it Because those tapings would get them through September and remember we talked on this show a few weeks ago About the leaked memo saying that they were gonna cancel TNA at the end of Q3 yeah September is the end of Q3 sir There's rumors of Jared trying to buy out the company which don't make a lot of sense to me because he's got this global first wrestling That he's really really worked hard on and let's use one of them all the two and by the way low keys out now too He's left the company kind of mighty to fire sail So my first thought was who does the BDC have left? Well, they had homicide show up this week Which on my huge fan of homicide? I just think he's just been in his wheels go to WWE man You'd be huge for that Hispanic audience are really trying to hold on to with the luched dragons We'll talk about him just in a minute Impact note oh by the way angle also announced at the tapings They found a tumor in his neck You're gonna have surgery on This man's had more problems with his neck and They don't know how long he's gonna be out so Again, Godspeed Kurt angle please come back quickly Oh and by the way Jeff Jarrett is your newest Hall of Famer for TNA which my question was how does he not the original Hall of Famer I was waiting for you to bring that up So there's that Impact notes you have a new Exhibition champion his name is T.
Great Uno So there's that And this Jared thing I will say I will say this about Jarrett He is aging well really he looks great But my thing is What does Jared and King of the Mountain do for you? He can't win it, can he? But you do know how King of the Mountain works, right?
No. Okay, here's our King of the Mountain works You have five guys in the ring When you score a pinfall over one of your opponents you now become what they call eligible The guy that you pin has to spend two minutes in a penalty box Once you become eligible you must find the TNA official that's by the ring holding on to the belt Only if you're eligible can you grab the belt and it's like a reverse ladder match you have to hang it on a hook above the ring Which makes you king of the mountain. Okay This is something that Jarrett came up with.
This is his baby So I get while you're putting him in it when you're bringing it back, but could he win this thing? Now you're could he or should he He should But could he I just I'll give TNA this they've got me questioning who wins this thing I mean, it's it's a good marketing point Also Vader shows up as part of this brand challenging any former member of the TNA roster And Vader can still go dude He looks good in this match He didn't look that great 15 20 years ago. I'm surprised and then Matt Morgan shows up After a Vader gets beat And you know I'm not a Josh Matthew fan.
No, but I'll give credit where credit's due After Morgan comes out Josh Matthews goes how many people are back there I was like okay for sir. I'll give you that and I love Pope I love the angel dinner. You the angel didn't arrow But when Hernandez shows up in the match with the bdc and the rising And the Pope says who is Hernandez with?
He's wearing a bdc t-shirt. Did you should have figured that went out? Maybe his view is obstructed he's sitting ringside That's not one of these they're in Nashville and it's a pre-tate deal.
They were live in You know Reno right there just try to give the guy a little yeah good luck with I Anything that you need to add from this week from our sport no no you pretty much covered all the bases next paper view We're what three weeks away now July 19th For battleground I believe it is it is not When I think it's the next one I know it's not summer summer time's in August. I did it in 17 days The ID four sequel has a title It's gonna be called independence day resurgence It is a measurable hell little I care like I just why do we need to go back to this well Because maybe it may be it may be a trailer maybe a trailer will will interest me Although I did see a trailer today that I'm very very interested now. I don't know if you've seen it yet for in for next summer The secret life of pets no oh do your gods are Write it down when we get off air.
I want you to watch this. It's like two and a half minutes long okay And it's basically toy story with animals It's the basic concept what happens when you're gone It is David. I watched it earlier today and we laughed hysterically I'm like this trailer has told me nothing but I'm in you know Is it CG?
Yes, oh It's from the minds of despicable meat. Yes So Alicia Vickender whose name has come up a lot on this show in the last five months She is actually in she's gonna be in the board the next born movie but out of Assassin's Creed Oh, that movie just keeps on tripping on its own shoelaces So I don't know what's going on there We talked about the rock earlier He's doing the movie of the video game rampage. Do we need this and apparently there's this thing?
They're saying it's a possibility he could be any of the three monsters that grow into Massive monsters that wreck the city Even though one of them was supposed to be female I We need this Super Mario brothers Pixels Yeah, but that's about a bunch of video. I'm just about one video game. I'm just saying that there's a lot of positive buzz around pixels and I think that someone just saw that and say what?
What the hell As long as I don't see ZV is the movie What you don't want a X and trilogy The road cut we've talked about of days of future past which is the story from Rogues point of view. They're gonna screen that at San Diego Really, it's weekend after next Does it picture length or is it just feature you can buy it on blue right right now really? I don't I don't if it's available yet, but you it's going to get released Also You have a new spider man his name is Tom Holland John Watts will be directing him you are our resident Spider man experts sir, please And lighten me on this.
I'll apparently we have another Brit playing spider man Are you on board They said they're going younger and they did and that's fine. That's that's I'm good with that just don't Don't put us through another freaking origin story. Please.
They're gonna do it. Please. Oh, they are you know.
They are well we didn't get another And how does this affect sinister six and venom? I think that pretty much puts the kibash on every because you can't you can't continue the story. Yeah I don't I don't think they're going forward that they would have had the amazing spider man tube in a success But after that fell on its face I think they're moving on from that whole idea But I know that this kid this Tom Holland he was he's best known for playing the title row in Billy Elit the Billy Elliot the musical in London I like that film, but then that he really doesn't hasn't done a heck of a lot Then have a lot on his resume He was in a film called the Impossible with Naomi watching you in record.
That was the wasn't that the tsunami film My wife really enjoyed that that's the film about the tsunami Family moves to do our vacation in the tsunami happens I have to I have to look it. It's you have a Gregor and didn't Naomi watch that. Yeah, it is yeah, it is That's the only real high profile geeky's been in Marvel is casting for for Megas In Infinity War which means they're going to have to do the gauntlet some other way Because that is the second of the trilogy Because there is no Megas before Infinity Gauntlet, so I don't know how this is going to all work out Very confused right now And uh, on a juvenile director of Selma maybe directing Black Panther I'm in good with this.
I am too Get a female involved Directed in a Marvel universe totally on board, which almost happened already But it didn't but not quite I was supposed to be what the dark thought of the dark world I think so What do you think about this rumor Chris pine and Tyreys Gibson playing how Jordan and John Stuart respectively I'm a green lantern. I've got no real issue with that I'd still rather see like you I still think pine's a little young For the how Jordan I see in my head But you had no problem with Ryan Reynolds playing I had no problem with the film I don't mind it. I know Tyreys is not my first choice.
I still I still like common in that role I do too. I'm a fan ever since you talked about it. Never since they I'd heard the The boys on fat man on Batman talking about when he was he was Lodges thing I think I think in the George Miller version.
I think common Or hidress elbow which you do you're crossing the stream. Yeah, but common just has that presence that I think Tyreys Gibson has a bit more of a Goofy presence than he does. I like Tyreys Gibson, but I'd rather have common Especially after seeing common and wanted.
Yeah, I could you know you just he has an air about good smoking ACEs too. Did I never saw that Ricky Jervais office fans were joys Ricky Jervais bringing David Brent back for a new mockumentary Basically he's now a trap after after it's done on the office. He's now a traveling salesman He's trying to self-finance a UK tour for his band his band is called foregone conclusion.
I like that I've not run this by the love of an talented Mrs Irving because I know she was a huge fan of the British office I saw him take a crack at this already. Oh, did you? Yeah, he he did I want to say it was on BBC And I believe it was called an idiot abroad.
Yes, and Jules and I and those of you who do know or don't know my wife is a British accent and we decided to watch this together And they were just awful to this guy that they were putting putting him through these through the ringer And I couldn't get into it. I really they were just so mean to this bush muck that they were sending out to travel And you putting him in crappy hotels and sending him to lousy tourist traps and they were just giggling the whole time I'm like this is just an hour of watching these guys just be mean to this You're not a fan of that kind of calm. No, I'm really not So that'll be next year Rumors of athletic directing a solo Batman film called the Batman really those are surfacing Whoa, I don't know how I feel about this I have no problem at all He can handle it obviously with we saw him do it with our go I just I need to see what direction he wants to take with it first Because I think and from a director's standpoint a from a director stars standpoint.
This could be his biggest challenge Because if you see the guy he played in our go True true. It's kind of like when you see Billy mean and you see Brad Pitt Okay Billy and Ryan Reynolds and the guy he played in the woman in gold. Yeah, that was a stretch But uh I've got faith in the guy the guy can the guy can definitely direct he can definitely I know I love him as a director I just think this will be this will be the mountain decline I think he can pull it off so we shall see Also Jason state the will return for furious eight But that seemed fairly obvious what the way the last one did you know I still haven't watched it I need I need to watch like all of them in a row or something What in bed okay moving new releases in places you get moving new releases this week Really you're welcome internet A franchise that seems to really like my birthday Terminator genesis Genesis you're welcome Genesis opens a day before my birthday and if I'm not mistaken Terminator two opened like within days of my birthday Because we we saw that July 4th weekend Let me see magic Mike xxl Says that also like your birthday featuring Kevin Nash So Genet ladies you'll know where your husband is this weekend husbands you'll know where your lady was so with the third First in LA third nationwide Let me check the rest of the franchise just that a curiosity.
I don't know how to probably do that I just want to see this music for a minute Over here down the right and was the next one. Oh, no that was the one though. Oh God for you That was that good you like that very nice there It was no no no May 21st was that naughty naughty dog I'm sure there are people that have no idea what we're talking about Also this week a movie called Faith of our Father's with the Vietnam War raging in 1969 Two young fathers report for duty a man of great faith in a doubtful cynic a quarter century later There's sons Wayne and John Paul played by David AR White and Kevin Downs meet as strangers Guided by handwritten letters from their fathers from the battlefield They embark on an unforgettable journey to the wall the Vietnam of veterans Memorial and DC along the way They discover the devastation of war cannot break the love of a father for his son So this looks like it's the same the same people that did you know Letters of EWG man all that good.
Oh, okay. Well, that was Oh Rebecca scene James and Candace Cameron Burrie and Stephen Baldwin. This is also a faith-based film Terminator three actually came out on your birthday in O3 Oh, that is Facts is fact Cartel land which showed at the Dallas International Film Festival this year We interview the the film editor for that.
Is that a new area of Disney world? No This is a documentary about looking at the drug cartels in Mexico From the standpoint of the Americans and the Mexicans both Law sides, okay Very interested in me a little back to our first show from the Dallas International Film Festival But you want to hear that interview and And boy got a sequel And boy. Yes, this is this is a French film It's it came out two years ago the first one aunt boy It's basically like a superhero film that was ever heard of and now the sequel is coming out this week called Antboy revenge of the red fury So this has nothing to do with aunt man.
No This is a French film. This is very strange DVD and blue right new releases in places you get DVD and blue right new releases something on kind of interested in Being released on blue right for the first time this week the entire series of the decline of Western civilization If you remember it was it if you remember this documentary series they always show the one about metal But I'm interested to see this also a John Williams celebration. What is that place at the Disney theater It's a performance DVD the criteria in collection has two new releases this week Valerie and her week of wonders and five easy pieces And Danny Collins with Pacino Pacino and everybody net bending Let's talk some tech corner San Diego Comic Con announces that next year's con will be string you'll be able to stream it live for VOD services Like some you live are just not getting around to that it could have been a there may have been a rights nightmare for it Like you can't show our stuff because we're ADC or whatever So there's gonna be streaming services live available next year of video on demand including some of the panels Because I think they finally realized they are at a critical match you can't put anymore people and they're and people are missing things They want to see I don't want to mention any many names, but his initials are freaking me Apparently also Rockstar Not selling any more PC versions or is rock steady rock steady not selling any more PC versions of Arkham Knight But of early reviews.
I have talked to people whose kids are playing it and I say it looks freaking amazing I just can't I'm not good at games anymore. I like my Xbox one I am playing playing pinball on it. I enjoy how it integrates my home theater Well, you're not good at games because you don't play any other you're just too busy watching people do it just get into the game But I'm into it as I'm watching it though Apparently we got trailers for Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 last week They're doing a follow-up to the South Park RPG the stick of truth called the fractured but whole set one day after the stick of truth They're remaking Final Fantasy 7 Which really turned a lot of people upside down because that that thing was so huge on the playstation It was like a system seller A new footage of Star Wars battlefront was shown at E3 and people are salivating even more It kind of ran the gamut One of the things that I find most intriguing and I know it was a game that's already been announced It was announced earlier in the year, but it's supposed to be out in September They did another showing of it at E3 this year was a super Mario maker Well, you can basically make your own super Mario game.
I mean, and I mean you tweak everything about it You can change the visual style you can make it look you can make it look 8 bit 16 bit or Current gen graphics and you can change them on the fly Let's probably like to see them do the original With current gen graphics. That's you can play play the original in 360. I guarantee and the cool thing about this It's a Wii U game so if you don't have a Wii U you kind of have so well I guarantee you somebody is going to create that and upload it because all this can be shared online Somebody is going to do the entire original game and put it put a A next-gen code of pain on it.
Oh, okay, and it will be the most downloaded level that's been created by the users Anything else are we ready? That's it. All right, I just got one of the light is on Not that's what I want that's the one I want we end every show with a list and tonight is no difference The returning shad will end of the list We've all been here We've all been cruising in the car and a song comes on and you almost wreck the car and break your wrist Turning the dial to either Kill the volume or get it to another station as soon as possible Soon as that first note hit you like no, I'm out.
I'm done. I'm done. No not anything but this So I put down a list in no particular order although number one is kind of hard to not be at the top of a list of What every how are you wanting to find it just songs that make you want to put your head through the windshield You define it as 10 song power now.
Once I did it. The songs that make you would lose your will to live Whatever you want to call number 10 number 10 I actually have I have most of these. There's three.
I have to pull up on YouTube. Okay Oh god and see it's not that I don't like this song. I don't like this dude Like he's just like a d-back.
It just every time this vocal kicks in Cat start howling up and down the alleyway I do like how he does the false start that James Blunt your beautiful is the one of the biggest archwips But not nearly as much of an archwip as number nine number nine and the number one most overdone karaoke song of all time Of all time I don't want to talk about it much because I want us to just move on to the next one even though I want to put it my head through It's there you go. So the song has done its job I know instead of a lot did a lot for their career. It revitalized the beefy tattoos, but my godness songs irritating Put rock lobster on a loop over this.
I'll listen to Rome on a loop over this and I know for you This is one of those where every every drunk fool in a karaoke bar Has to make this one of their go to songs Hate it hated hated hated next all right next I actually have to click so you can be just a second Because I have to actually because I for some reason I don't have this. Oh, no, I do have this. I never mind Hold on crap crap and this was always on this down This was always one that I was really able to quickly respond to I'm looking forward to come Because the way this song started Okay, we may have to Okay, we'll have to go back to the beginning on that and we'll turn this one on.
Okay See I like this song radio killed it radio killed I did it didn't kill if I do like this So no no no no I'm gone. I'm I'm running from this song And did this any commos he have any other hit other than here comes the host I remember he did a song for the bad boy soundtrack Called the police and about and it sounded just like this probably really Okay, now this next one I know I'm gonna get some flag over Because I know Luther is Kind of sacred to a lot of people. What's the tempo on this five this song?
As Richard Jenny put it so well Put your head in the oven and turn the gas up full, but this wasn't one of his songs No, it's not sure it's forgivable. It's this version of this song right that makes you want to open a vein in your throat and your wrist I can't stand the way this song just drags the heck on the intro alone. Yeah is Five minutes in 39 seconds this this is from the ultimate.
I think the full version is like almost eight. Yeah Yeah, the the intro itself is longer than most pop songs nowadays a full link. I'm like no I'm so done me loves like could you make that a little shorter?
All right number six I have to go to YouTube all the time on second here. This is a a a classic example of a novelty song that Way outstate it's welcome With a video that didn't help it And this and the dude in this look like just a very like poor man's Lex Luther And he looked like a British soccer player Like nothing about you screams can. I'm sorry Okay, go go go stop Trying to help you out here.
Trying to help you out here. I disagree with this next one I disagree with the next two. I hate this song.
I I think part of it is I think you would have a new appreciation for it if you watch the rest of development Because this song plays a huge part in a rest of development No, because it's Job's theme song. I saw I'm a big Europe fan. I saw this band live They opened for death leopard in 87 the great Joey tempest.
How is that not a rock and roll name and it's a Joey tempest As soon as this song started I was like, okay, I'm gonna put my headphones on Let me know when this is over this weekend Europe future Joey tempest. Come on, dude. No, I'm a rock and roll name and I like this song And the way that one thing that will always stick with me is the way the this guy's bass drum was mic It's oh That was 80's rock It was drowning out everything else It was drowning out the vocalist thank god No, no, no, no, no.
And I disagree with this next time because I like this song. I like this song. I like this song In the panteon of Jefferson starship Jefferson airplane starship Yes one of the weaker songs if you go back to 1967 until gray select She's gonna be doing this she probably shoots you in the face.
Give me the theme song Manicon over this give me nothing's gonna stop us now over. We built this I like this song Oh god, I don't care. I like this song.
Just say it, and like you always say it's my list. You can go tell it now There's no way you're debating me on number three. I like this song.
Oh, you kidding me I like this song What is wrong? And I'll tell you what it could see when I hear Carly Ray Jebson call me maybe First of all more hooks in attack box Secondly the first time I ever heard this song It was a YouTube video where the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders were synced lip syncing to it So that's where my brain goes when I hear this song so you're biased Yeah, okay, okay, that explains a lot It's just it's fun This is a fun little ditty you realize who you sound like right now. No I'll explain it when we get to number one Oh, I like this song.
I don't care. I like this song Okay, it's a happy song Stop it number two. I agree About 80% of this band's catalog.
I agree Anything after elephant I can do without Now there were some decents. I like tonight's the night. I think it's a decent song Oh god, you made this list sir It just it just reminds me how much I cringe my lady lumps like that's just not even sexy to me So I read something on liware I was like this is one of those kind of songs that if it gets stuck in your head and you find yourself Muttering the lyrics to yourself everybody's gonna look at you really strange especially if you're a guy Two words for Fergi kids incorporated, okay?
Oh God this song so awful, but nothing Can't come here. I got a stop this hold on. I'm on your way for this stop.
Oh, it's not stopping Back computers. Okay. I got it.
I hold. I got hit the play on the YouTube clip I make sure there's no commercials or anything that they play Yeah, this this thing Just oh dear heavenly father. I got an ad to skip hold on Like even the ad for Harry Potter world would probably be better than what you're about to hear I don't think this song will ever be unceded as as Absolute garbage I can only hear one thing in my head.
I know you can The way Kevin defended this song to Garmin just to I think get under his skin What she had that he was being contrary is how you were sadting when you were defending call me But I like I actually liked that song No, no Okay, but here's where they get right sit in the front seat kicking in the back seat whenever it was there's people in both seats Why do you have to make that decision? There's people in both seats like Garmin said just put in the video Just like the video we're listening whatever the heck it is just like Garmin said put her in the trunk Put a truck and put six in it Rebecca blesses why the rest of the world hates us or as Picard says this is why aliens won't talk to us Never Never has there been a worst example of But you know what they made a bajillion dollars. I don't know this to it.
I don't know how much you know how many views it has on YouTube right now I'm gonna let you take a guess But and again, I'll have to quote Garmin are they ironic views it doesn't say what it is Oh, I'm I'm sure it's it's Probably 50 million or something 30 yeah 80 million six hundred and nineteen thousand fifty five 453,096 likes one million six hundred and fifteen thousand eighty six dislikes But I can guarantee you you can go through the comment and you won't be able to read a quarter of them That you first day I think I spent new record for Photoshop crashes today One of my favorite I'm not going to like this video so I won't be mainstream One of my favorite memes. I've seen to come out in the long-to-all void go ahead. Can you say it?
I was more in prematurely do you want to know why the nurse put this on on the radio like crawl out and turned off the radio Wow It speaks for itself. I don't have to say anything. I don't have to defend my position What day is it again?
Oh, God And we have this I've never seen so much dislikes in my life and here comes the poor man's domain to breathe rushing sounds like a dying cow My eye drums are dead My what about favorite memes was her in the back seat of the car and it was then they clicked to a shot of 50 cent pulling away laughing It was with angry bird in the back seat looking at her Shout out to voidball the pop boy who just has two words. I'm suffering Party in party in yeah I got to have cereal There's so many words. I didn't say exactly but she know what Many people subscribed to her YouTube channel 1,163,565 people subscribe because they're waiting to see the to train jump the tracks again I give her credit though.
She actually did a video where she reacted to the hate comments.
