Fargo though is going to be all is going to do the same kind of,

It's going to be an all new cast and all new story and an all new characters.

So I thought that was a little odd.
But taking place in the same location.

I was over there seeing the friend of the Mars on Fourth of July this year.

But MTV's target demo is loving this show.
And which I will never understand why that show
that came on after ridiculousness first premiered.
Dead Valley.

It was like a kind of a fake reality show
that they had based in LA,
where vampires and werewolves and zombies
were coming out at night in Death Valley.
But it hadn't gotten into that.

And it was really funny.
It was really entertaining.
But it only lasted one season.
I was like, what happened to that show?
But teen wolfs on for five hours.

And Dan Harmon said he wants to get Troy back.
At any any way he can.
He doesn't care what it takes.
He wants to get Donald Glover back on the show.
So I'm good with that.
You know, we need to start using that music more often for something.

It's got to have some kind of a permanent fixture in this show.

I'm just saying that the evil dead franchise need to have such, such legs to it.
Then I'm surprised I haven't pursued this venue a lot sooner than this.

greatness or lack there of the Pendulum Swings back to me this week on POI.
And POI this weekend, I think is going to have a little bit of discussion.
It is a force of nature in the world of fast food.
And it is one that's kind of polarized.
It's demographic.
It is the mecca known as Burger King.
Me.
When I was a kid, first of all, Burger King was kind of highfalut.
You know what?
Highfalutin.
You had to have a little bit of cash to go either.
Okay.
Everybody went to Mickey D's.
But if you were the cool kid, you went to BK.
The BK Palace as it was known.
It was also a social hub after football games in my hometown.
We never had parties.
We had social gatherings.
It was always started at the Burger King.
It's always started at Mr. Gaddy's right there.
It's 441 in Atlantic Boulevard.
Cookin the Creek High School shout out.
But about five years ago, they changed the bid up.
Well, I remember when I was a kid if you went to Burger King and you could see the burgers come off the little conveyor belt.
Yeah.
I'm playing girls and all that good stuff.
Well, they've kind of changed it to make it look.
I guess they're trying to make the restaurants look a little classier.
They've got like brick brick walls and flat screens.
Yeah.
The sort of a bit more time with soda machines and all.
Hey, don't mess with the free stuff.
Yeah.
Because when I become president, one of the laws I'm going to act is you're no longer allowed to have a
Coca-Cola found.
It must all be freestyle.
And Pepsi's got one year to catch up.
There they're gone.
They're going to be strobe.
Looked a lot of these.
Sorrow as says she'd rather eat poop.
I'm kind of right there with her.
But here's my thing.
I'm a little disappointed.
They've taken away the flame girl because I've seen how they do it now.
I just happen to catch it out of the corner of my eye.
They take the frozen patty out of a little frozen patty deal.
And they put it in like a steamer.
And the steamer puts the little grill lines on it and stuff.
Oh god.
And I'm kind of like, well, that's cheating.
That's disappointing.
That's cheating is what it is.
And that's on one hand.
But on the other hand.
They really are kind of their diverting.
They're getting a little more diverse where they've got like the buffalo chicken strips and
the barbecue chicken strips.
Because everybody else says they kind of have to at this point.
Yeah.
But it's not like you.
I get chicken strips and get to dunk them.
Like they are boneless chicken wings.
Is what they're doing now.
Uh-huh.
And they've got the big king, which now they have the chicken big king, which I'm a huge fan of.
Yeah.
And now they've got a mushroom Swiss big king.
What do they?
Oh yes.
Oh yes.
And you know I'm a fan of both mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
Yeah, so am I.
So I'm kind of torn because it's not.
It's not, in my opinion, it's not turbo.
But it's not what it used to be.
Like I had a water last night.
I enjoyed it.
It was a barbecue bacon water at that.
And they've kind of up their game with the fries a little bit.
Now the saddest fries.
They're not great, but they're very.
They're nothing to write home about.
They're very unsatisfactory.
And one of the very few places I see to their.
And one of the very few places that I will eat onion rings at.
Because you know I'm not normally a fan of the onion rings.
That's all I will get there because their fries are such substandard pieces of junk.
The fries are better.
I'm telling you.
They're better than in and out.
It's in and out.
It's taste like you.
You.
You shut your dirty mouth.
You shut your dirty mouth sir.
They're fresh, but they're no flavor.
They're not too much flavor.
I'm just.
If you don't get them animals style, that's your own fault.
Okay.
I'm talking playing without the animal style.
I'm a style they rock.
But you know.
But back to Burger King.
You just went sacrilege in this studio.
You leave it out alone.
But I don't.
I don't know.
It's just.
I got cold in this room.
But I will tell you the down the downside of the free style.
If a place has a free style, I will not use the drive through.
I can't.
Because you order it and it's never right.
Yeah.
Because right now, I mean, I was really addicted to the day sunny water with the peach.
I've switched to the lemon.
Really?
The lemon is really good.
And it's a lot easier to get to balance right with the lemon than it is the peach.
Because some places put too much of the water and not enough of the peach in.
Uh-huh.
And it really upsets me.
Because you don't get that peach until the after taste.
It's on the back end of the swing.
So the North Park gets it right.
There's this really good.
There's a Wendy's by where I work.
That's really good.
It gets it right.
There's a couple of places.
I don't hate Burger King.
I just don't love it as much as I used to.
I'm just my problem.
I really can't say that I despise it.
But I'm not going to go to my way to eat it the place.
I'd rather go to Wendy's if I'm going to go to any place.
It's immediately accessible.
I'm going to get a drive to get to it in and out.
For me, there's one Burger King right down from our live.
But I like the fish sandwich.
The fish sandwich I'm going to told you.
You do like a fish sandwich?
Yeah, fish sandwich.

But okay.
And I do like to in and out burgers with the animal style.
That's the cake.
But I will go back to this.
They're trying to innovate.
You can't just keep the same in this world of the restaurant.
But if it is broke, don't fix it.
That's my thing.

There's 10 on the flame broiling.
But with all these other new burgers are adding, you have to be innovative in today's restaurant world.
Trust me.
I mean, five years.
I don't know if all of our guys.
Yeah, exactly.
If they think of a McDonald's kept the same menu ahead 30 years ago.
They would be basically under.
So then doing this innovative like the big big king with the two patties and stuff.
Kind of amateur.
But if you remember, they tried the big king.
And it went away because it didn't do well.
And then they decided to bring it back, which I thought was weird.
And now, you know, they get people there.
The two for five.
I love it.
See the two for five.
I'm in on it.
Because I get me a couple of chicken big kings.
You call it.
And you know how to make the money?
Because people get fries in a soda with it.
Yeah.
But it gets people to their restaurant and set it going somewhere else.
But they're also getting harder to find too.
When these was a lot of them closed down.

They gave him a real contract to be a Pirate for a day.

A legit, and then, so he got to be in the front offices.
Got to go hang around in the locker room before the game.
He did batting practice with McCutcheon,

And then he actually threw out the pitch at the game.
And he hit it.

We start this week with Robert Fulton Newhouse.
Born January 9th, 1950 died July 22nd.
Played for the University of Houston and also played for the Dallas Cowboys.
It was not highly recruited coming out of Galilee High School in Hallsville, Texas.
Houston was the only division one school scholarship he received.
But he also was part of a very successful stretch for the University of Houston from 1969 to 1971.
In 1969, they were 92 in ranked number 12 in the country.
78 in 3th, 19th.
And in 71, they were 9 in 3 in ranked 17th.
Let me just run you down.
The records Robert Newhouse had at the University of Houston.
Just to kind of give you a glimpse of this guy.
Most rushing yards in the season, 1757 and 1971.
Most 100 yard games in the season.
They were 10 in the same year.
Most 100 yard games in a college career at 16.
Most 100 yard consecutive 100 yard games in a season 7.
Most consecutive 100 yard games in a career 8.
Most 200 yard games in a season 3 in 1979, which tied him with Anthony Aldridge and Paul Gibson.
And most 200 yard games in a career at 4.
Tied with both with the same two gentlemen.
Dear God.
Back when the college all started played the Super Bowl champion from the year before.
I didn't know that ever happened.
That's cool.

I wish I could bring that out.
Newhouse scored a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys.
He also played in the Hula Bowl.
In 1977, he was inducted into the University of Houston Athletics Hall of Honor.
He was drafted in the second round of the 72 draft by the Cowboys.
Although, he had the ability to play running back.
He unselfishly made the switch to full back.
In order to help his team as a rookie.
In 75, he was named the regular starter at full back.
Replacing Walt Garrison.
Some shoes that he filled.
It's a greatness of.
He was effective as the primary running back.
He was mostly used as a league blocker.
His nicknames were the house and the human bowling ball.
I love that one.
He was called.
He was tough to bring down like trying to tackle a fire hydrant at 5-10-209.
With arguably the largest thighs in the NFL at 44 inches in circumference.
His longest run from scrimmage was as a professional as a 54-yard game against the Philadelphia Eagles in 1973.
Went to three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys.
His most notable career highlight and Super Bowl moment with a 29-yard touchdown pass.
He threw.

Very just wife Nancy had four children.
His son Reggie played for the Arizona Cardinals in O4 and O5.
Newhouse himself works for several years in the Cowboys player relations department.

April 7th.
Oh, he shared a birthday with my mom.
April 7th, 1928.
This is a little while before my mom.

Had more than 50 films on his resume.
And plus everything else to rock for files.
Maverick both the theatrical version and the deep version.
Remember he was someone of our favorite movies from the early 2000s space cowboys.

He was born in Norman Oklahoma.
Youngest of three children.
Father was a carpet layer.
His older brother Charles is a school administrator who passed away in 1984.
His family was Methodist.
His mother died when he was five.
And he was, he was sent to live with relatives.
He was reunited with his family in 1934 when his father remarried.
Did not enjoy his stepmother very much.
When he was 14, he finally had enough of his quote,
wicked stepmother.

And after a particularly heated battle, she left for good.

I've shortly after that, his dad moved to Los Angeles.
While his brothers didn't remain in Oklahoma.
James joined the merchant marine near the end of World War II.
At 17, he joined his father in Los Angeles and enrolled at Hollywood High School.
His father joined the merchant marine.
He joined the National Guard serving seven months to the United States.
Then went to Korea for 14 months in the regular army.
Wow.
I mean, this is even before he even had an acting group.
Yeah, he did all of these things.
A great actor, go back and watch the original Maverick.
Such a great series.

and Russ says he was a diehard Oakland Raiders and Oklahoma sooner fan.
