We're just glad you're here.
My name is Rob and Comfortable and Toasty Achievement Unlocked.
I'm on a freight to say I'm in my pajamas tonight because it's cold outside and I'm comfortable.
And it's my studio.
I can do that.
That's interesting.
Who else is in the room?
Joining me across the desk is he tends to do is a man who is not only my co-host, but he is a man that's about to learn some basic electrician skills.
He is Chad.
Welcome to show sir.
I hope not.
Well, I don't need to fix that problem.
Why is he going to fix that?
I said you're going to learn it.
So maybe if it happens again.
Haven't some power issues at the house.
It requires getting up in the attic and I don't do addicts well.
That's why we're having something to come in and doing.
Also joining us.
We are not guestless this week.
We have a very special guest in the show.
In the studio this evening.
It's a man that we mentioned briefly last week.
But he is back.
And he is a man that knows how to wear t-shirt that confounds.
Twin Peaks waitresses.
He is the king of bowling.
He is Andrew Beckham.
Welcome back to the show sir.
Thank you.
It's good to be back.
Thank you for all your prayers and condolences.
Brother, much appreciated.
Been through it myself lately.
So speaking of which we also want to dedicate this week's show.
Another of our extended circle.
We lost this past week from our sports bar days.
Sila Luna passed away this past week.
Friend of the show.
Wonderful girl.
Worked at the Dallas Zoo.
Had a passion for working for animals.
And not everybody can take that and turn that into a career.
She worked with the with the gorillas.
At the Dallas Zoo passed away.
And her sleep this past week.
We want to send our deepest condolences to all of her family and friends.
That is now for for me this year sir.
I think one more.
I get a toaster.
This is crazy.
It's just man.
But again our best to seal us family and friends.
We're very our feelings go out to y'all.
All right, gentlemen.
Let's get into corrections because we actually have corrections from last week.
So you and I went on a mistake tear in TV talk.
Lovely.
I said Joey slot neck was in royal pains.
That is Pablo Castanzo.
The show you were thinking of first Sarah.
Shot he was called fairly legal.
Fairly legal.
Okay.
I couldn't take on the USA network.
And we couldn't remember who TJ Miller played and how to train your dragon.
His character's name was tough.
That's right.
Got it.
Got it.
I was typing very quickly as I was listening back to this show.
That's wrong.
That's wrong.
That's wrong.
So.
But what a great show last week.
If you if you missed last week show.
You get to actually hear me audibly.
Just beat Chad into submission.
That's good.
With a great.
Did you get a chance so soon?
Not in.
Yeah.
Let me ask your opinion on something.
If I may.
Oh.
Let me find it.
I missed it.
I missed it.
I missed it.
I missed it.
I missed it.
What is your thoughts on this song?
I love this song.
I don't.
Like I say more more hooks in a tackle box.
Right.
Just saying.
It's annoying because it's catchy.
And.
I hate it because it's catchy.
And I hear it everywhere I go.
What does that remind you of?
Friday.
Friday.
Yes.
Like.
You know, applause to her.
I don't know her name.
Make some trailers.
Okay.
Yeah.
Because I'm sure she's a multi-millionaire now.
I just it's just catchy.
It is.
Because you can turn it into anything.
Now it's not like that sketch they did on Saturday night live with the.
The Swiftamine.
Yeah.
For adults that had missed their Taylor Swift fans.
They have a pill they take.
That was funny.
I don't know if you caught that a few weeks ago.
Well, very, very funny.
But I am caught up on SNL by the way.
Except I haven't watched last night's episode.
I watched five episodes of SNL in the last 48 hours.
Wow.
So yeah.
I also got caught up today on.
I watched last week's newsroom today.
So I'm caught up on that.
I'm caught up on my real videos now.
I'm caught up on the Simpsons now.
Um.
That was across over episode.
Yeah.
Future Rama.
Yeah.
I didn't get it because I'm watching that drama.
Well, gentlemen, let's get into this thing.
Because it's time for the last time in 2014 to talk about NASCAR.
Because it's over.
It is officially over.
We have a sprint cup champion.
And his name is Kevin Harvik.
Wow.
Winning the Ford winning the sprint cup championship because he won at homestead today.
So your winner of the final race wins the chase.
Wow.
So I'm going to hang on the mission accomplished banner.
Yeah.
A lot of people are giving NASCAR grief because of.
You know, you've got guys that haven't won a race all year that are in the championship.
It's better than it used to be.
Yeah.
I got to give it that.
And a Denny Hamwin actually placed second.
Really?
So your top two guys were two guys that were in the championship of the chase.
Yeah.
So I was hoping NASCAR would have their stuff updated by now.
Let me see what's updated yet.
Um.
They're being very, very.
Tagey with their updates.
But the race ended just shortly before we went on air.
So it's one of those things that's like.
Yeah.
Because I really want to get you your final finishers.
Because this is the last update.
We're going to do a year.
Right.
We're not going to talk.
We're not talking NASCAR again.
Until.
Uh.
There we go.
Race results.
Until February.
Hmm.
One of the shorter offseason.
That's a long chase.
Yeah.
Because Daytona's that a February.
All right.
Your top ten.
Finisher's Number twenty four Jeff Gordon started
in the pole position.
Finished in 10.
Uh.
Jimmy Johnson.
up champion, started in 12 ends in 9th.
Clint Boyer starts in 6th, winds up in 8th.
Denny Hamlin, he was not an L.I.L.A.L.A.
Only he goes up a spot from 8 to 7.
Matt Kenseth starts in 3rd, winds up in 6th.
Jaynee McMurrie starts in 19th, ends up in 5th.
Starting in 16th and ending up in 4th is Paul Bernard
and yes, his family does own the chain of hardware stores.
Chad's favorite driver to say, Brad Khezel Lowski comes in 3rd,
starting in 4th, Ryan and Newman, of course, goes from 21st to 2nd.
And Kevin Harvick started 5th, winds up first.
So congratulations to Kevin Harvick, his first spring cup championship.
And there was much rejoicing in the Kevin Harvick pit area.
So you know, how to load a bit of a fist to cups a couple of weeks ago, but didn't
really affect the outcome of the races.
So we're going to put Dan's card a bed.
Until it's time for Daytona.
So we're going to have to figure out maybe substitute a segment or maybe we just
or shows a little shorter there for a while.
Well, basketball is firing up in hockey is firing up.
So we're going to talk about that at some point as well.
So congratulations, NASCAR and what I feel was a successful season.
I like the new chase.
It's not perfect, but it's better than it was and probably better than the college
playoffs system, but still it's working, it's trending upwards.
Exactly.
And that's what you want.
So I can hope for it.
Break even to win, but they say in Vegas, exact so.
You were listening to the Clubhouse podcast.
We are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's just keep moving on because we have such a short segment and go into some TV
talk.
We've got a lot of news of shows getting picked up and dropped.
That's where most of this is going to come from this week.
Showtime gives a renewal to homeland and gives a second season to the affair, which
I've heard good things about the affair.
Starting Dominic West, basically it's a course of a man and a woman that are having
a affair, but something bad happens and they're both being interviewed and you're
seeing it from both of their points of view.
Where apparently in the first episode he starts telling the story.
And when she tells the story, like the outfit she's wearing is completely different from
the one he remembers seeing and things like that.
So it's kind of as he said she said, but I've heard really good things about it.
So congratulations to them, stars has given a series order to an evil dead series to air
next year.
Uh-oh.
Campbell's involved, so we're we're definitely trying to compete directly with walking
dead now.
TNT has canceled perception with Eric McCormack, the show by wife was a big fan of.
She was like, hey, it was good.
Oh, bummed out, but whatever.
You know how the love in talented Mrs. Urban is.
Yes.
She watches a lot of shows that just come and go.
Her, her luck in picking series is worse than mine and mine's pretty bad.
Uh, Fox, however, has given a full order full season order to Gotham.
So congratulations to them, I'm actually going to get to watch the episode I don't
have on my DVR after we're done in here tonight because I'm six episodes behind now.
Wow.
But they've also ordered six more episodes of the Mindy project.
I show that I have never seen and really have no desire to.
Maybe they're.
But once the episodes of Malini that they have are air, they will be canceling that
show.
Um, I saw the first few minutes of it because it came on after after an episode of Family
Guy I was watching.
It was like they were trying to redo sign felt.
That's kind of the impression that I started with him doing stand up in front of
those studio audience before the show.
I was like, this isn't in it's just haven't we done this before and it's not funny.
And this scene, Pedroad, you left SNL for that and Elliot, gold and Martin short were in
that thing.
Really?
So much sure whether the heck happened there.
They've also canceled a utopia which Chad was watching.
So apparently we couldn't build the perfect society.
I saw a couple of clips didn't do much for me.
This is also going to be the last season for Glee.
Thank God.
Watch the great SNL sketch where they were parodying that Hollywood game night.
And Kate McKinnon was playing Jane Lynch and she was like, we're going to start with a
round called unwrapped or even we're going to show you an unwrapped candy bar and you
tell us what it is.
She looks at the camera.
And this is really a game we play on this show.
And it is.
And she ends the sketch show that I wouldn't any for this.
Also Randy Jackson will be leaving American Idol for real this time.
And we really, really mean it part three.
I don't know how many times it's because I stopped watching three years ago.
So.
Final doesn't mean anything.
The CW has given full season orders for Jane the Virgin, which apparently has the lowest
ratings of any of the new shows, but they've given them a full season as well as the flash.
And they've said arrow can go ahead and finish their season, too, of course, because
why wouldn't that happen.
Probably one of the best rated shows they've got on that.
And I'm five episodes behind, but the thing is not an NBC, they cancel it.
No kidding.
ABC has given full season orders for forever.
Somebody was, was it you that was talking about that show Andrew?
Somebody was talking to me about that show recently.
I don't think so.
Okay.
The thing about that is they've also given full season order to how to get away with
murder, which a lot of there, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of shows are doing full
finale's now.
I noticed that like this really whips me because ABC's doing that with their Thursday
night shows with how to get away with murder, scandal, and Grey's Anatomy.
Yeah.
And then I guess not going to see him again to what February I guess.
I think so because I think NBC's doing that with the black list and they did a
last look at the black list.
Oh, they did.
That's already happened.
That's right.
Yeah.
Because they're replacing that with that.
I think that's just, she beats me into a submission as it stands because I've just
heard as a person.
She's just not very pleasant.
Yeah.
There's like one of those, those list had always goes around with like the top 10
actresses and actors that nobody wants to work with.
Yeah.
And she makes that list every time in front of Bruce Willis in front of Bruce Willis.
Well, many of the takings always on that list.
Really.
Yeah.
ABC, however, has canceled Manhattan love story.
So both versions of that, that and the ABC version called A to Z both gone.
That took no long at all.
NBC has given a full season order to the mysteries of Laura with, uh, I just,
oh, which lost her names.
Grace from Roland Grace.
Deborah Messing.
Oh, that shows gone.
No, it gives a foot there.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
Bad judge got got canceled.
Yeah.
Yeah, that I did.
Yeah.
And but they are also developing a series based on the movie Frequency.
I'm like, hello, welcome to 1993.
I can hear my dad.
You know, I did dad through a radio.
Really?
Well, when that, that was a quade and caviso, what I believe it was.
And they did us, they did like a straight to video sequel about 10 years ago, too.
Okay.
Because there were so many, I answered, what's always new again, you know?
I guess a CBS was on this note that old CBS has said, this is the last season for
two and a half men, which is about two years to mention, thank God again.
And they have canceled the millers after they announced there was somebody else joining
the cast of that show.
Are you serious?
CBS has canceled it.
Wow.
Good.
And they just moved that to Monday nights from Thursday.
It's show's terrible.
I don't like it.
Sure.
A&E is announced that they're going to have a new reality show about Donnie Wallburg
and Jenny McCarthy with the creative name, Donnie loves Jenny.
Yeah.
I saw that.
It's pro.
If he doesn't, I hope he's got a pre-nup.
It should be called old school loves crazy.
Which one is what's there?
I think it's in the right order personally.
And just when you thought it was safe to go back into television, VH1 has picked up
six more episodes of a show that hasn't been on in 10 years.
This is from the soundtrack of the original.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
I did read about this.
The Osborns are returning to television.
VH1 doing six new episodes with the Prince of Darkness and his family.
Who watches VH1?
People who gave up on MTV.
Yeah.
Well, no.
They don't show a video either.
People that like, like, worse reality television.
Did you see that MTV has a new one?
Slednex?
It's rednex that live in Alaska.
Oh, for the love of it.
This is really a thing.
This is really a thing.
I saw a clip of it.
I'm like, are you kidding me?
I'm sure it'll get ready somehow.
I don't know.
I forgot this was the opening credits.
I think it's Pat Boone.
Yeah.
I'll just, I always just have those weird flashback images of him at the Grammys wearing
the the Gimp-out fit and going at Boone.
Yeah.
I think this album, where he did all these swing versions of heavy metal tunes.
I don't want to say they live next door to him.
Yes, they did.
Because because on the, if you get the soundtrack, there's the clip of Ozzy talking about
it.
Yeah.
Interesting information from the swing of MTV.
We talked last week how they're going to be doing that 10 episode run, where they're
going to be doing a TV series about screen.
I'm not going to use the ghost face mask that you're used to.
They said that they're reworking the mask if they said it's going to be more organic.
And I don't know what that means and it's no longer the screen mask.
And they may so I'll make this about a different thing.
I just report the news, sir.
Just just kind of pointless to me.
I just, I was kind of like, and they did announce the casting by didn't really read that
far into the article because honestly until you start shooting episodes, I really don't care.
But maybe that's just me.
I just, I just don't think we need this.
I agree.
We can't just do like a teen wolf marathon or something.
Well, we could, but then where do we go from there?
I will tell you this.
I made a mention of a show on this show a few weeks ago where you could put reruns of
another show on and it's placed and it could get just as good a ratings.
It's going to happen.
And we're going to talk about it later in the show.
Okay.
Then it, and this, this really officially came down this morning.
That's how fresh this news is.
Wow.
Yeah, it's going to be crazy.
But also another move coming up.
But I don't know when this is going to happen.
E is moving the soup to Friday nights.
Back to it's original night.
I mean, I'm still going to DVR either way.
I love the soup personally.
I'm a big fan.
It's a good night for it.
It's like a deco pressure night.
Yeah.
And you can get more from that current week on the show than you could before.
I just want to be able to since they're doing it live every week now.
I want to get on there just so I can go.
It's reality show clip time.
Because they're just pulling people from the audience to do it now.
What is this?
It sounds like Al.
It is.
It's talk soup.
Literally this long is called talk soup.
Okay.
It's about talk shows.
It's from Alapalusa.
Great Alapal.
So I'm assuming that's what they got the name of the show.
Oh, no.
Alapalusa, Alapalusa, the album?
No, is that where talk soup got the name of the show from was from the song?
No, no, no, no.
They just called it because you just it was actually a phrase.
Talk soup is a phrase.
Okay.
I'd never heard of it before.
I don't get out much.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
Don't forget next week's show is going to be a little shorter than normal.
Because next week is Survivor Series.
Can you believe that, Andrew?
Yeah.
So we'll be doing our live pre show more than likely from the studio next week.
So to get you ready for the final major of the year.
Still same start time, but it's not going to be near with the end time.
So I just make sure you're ready for that.
That being said, let's get into P.O.I.
P.O.I. stands for a person of interest.
It is a person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show, where we take a person or an entity and we debate
their greatness or lack of their of this week.
It is the responsibility of my co-host across the desk so we go live to him chat, go.
You brought up a couple of weeks ago and I think you could finally confirm that last week
that you were wanting to upgrade to the current generation of video.
I have chosen aside my Amazon Wishlist does feature the Xbox One and the main reason
that you want to upgrade your system from a Wii to the other things, but one of the first
ones that came up.
What is the one game you want to get?
There's the straw that broke the camel's back was like, oh, bad man.
Kevin Smith plays himself, Steven Amel plays Green Arrow in the game.
I know everything I need to know with this, and it's a couple of comic book artists going
to be appearing as themselves.
I know for sure, I can remember there's two more I can remember, so over 150 playable characters
in this thing.
You have been a fan of the Lego video game series about as long as I have probably.
I have seen your video.
You may not have played as many of them as I have, but I found that they're not very
playable on the Wii.
You bought me Lego Batman for the Wii, very frustrating.
A lot, if you've got your elastic controller, then it plays like a dream.
A lot easier for me to play when we were playing on your Xbox 360.
But I have been going on a tear with a Lego game series, I got a picked up Lego Marvel.
Never did finish Lego Pines the Caribbean, and as I was leaving the house, the squid is
playing Lego Lord of the Rings.
There is no escape from a Lego video game franchise, so that's kind of what I want to make
a P.O.I. because I've noticed that as it's gone on, as the series has evolved from
I guess the first one, I guess would have to be Lego Star Wars, and it was the prequels
that it was based on.
Right.
Because Lego Star Wars 2 was the original trilogy, which I thought was going to be where
it was.
And then they did a complete saga a couple of years after the trilogy ended, the
prequel trilogy ended, and they just mashed it up into one.
And then we got Indiana Jones, then we started getting the Batman games, we've done Harry
Potter, we finally got the Lord of the Rings, which is something we've been hoping to
get for a long time, and naturally we got the Hobbit.
But I've noticed as they've released more and more titles, they've got a lot more difficult.
And I know that whenever they put the series out initially, they were gearing a towards
younger kids.
Right.
And I'm wondering, have they made this series?
They made this franchise outgrow their target audience, or has the target audience outgrow
the series?
I would be more the latter, because I think that they're trying to keep with the generation
they started with.
And then you could just with younger kids, you just start them on the old ones, and you
work them up too.
You think that's out?
You think that's a great business model?
Because obviously not stopping anytime soon with Lego Batman 3, just coming out.
Beyond Gotham.
You're a fan of this.
You're a fan of this.
Yeah, that's the second.
It's the latter of the two.
It's basically they're growing up.
They have to make it a little more advanced.
Okay.
It just seems kind of weird that it was this really cutesy, simplified platformer.
So kids didn't get frustrated and throw controllers across the room.
And now they've got it to where adults are throwing controllers across the room.
The jumping mechanism can be way off.
There are sometimes where you have to do pinpoint accuracy on some of these jumps.
And you'll just fall off the same platform over.
And over.
And you're saying they have fun.
The game goes away.
Yeah.
They put them down again.
That's what I did with one of the Lego Batman.
It stops being fun because you can't make a simple jump.
That's how I got with puzzle quest.
Yeah.
I beat it.
And then I tried to play it again.
And it changed the game up on me.
And you just get to a certain point where you just keep beating you and beating you and
beat you.
And that's how it was with Marvel puzzle quest.
Marvel puzzle quest is an absolute beating.
Because the way Marvel puzzle quest works is normal puzzle quest.
You line up your little coin thingies.
Right.
And it builds up your mana.
And then you can use that to make spells.
What is the audio displaying in the studio?
Am I the only one here in that?
Oh, I think it's coming from my laptop.
Yeah.
I think it's that.
And I fill.com, queues, playing these videos.
Um.
Puzzle question.
Yeah.
In Marvel public puzzle quest.
Every time you line up the deals, it automatically does a spell.
Whether you want to do it or not.
Exactly.
And depending on the the colors that you line up.
And that's just a beating because you're getting up playing us at the computer.
Who's like 20 levels above you.
And the way the reason that does that is it wants you to make in at purchases.
Oh, it's also a play to win.
I turn into a free to play thing.
Yeah.
I turn into Mr. Garrison.
You go to hell.
You go to hell.
You die.
I did not download this to just been 45.
45 bucks in micro purchases.
That's how God of War essentially is.
I'm on the level.
Is it really?
I'm on a elevator level where there's just so many enemies that come.
So many big name enemies that come through.
I run out of everything.
They're just spamming the heck out of it.
You don't have a prayer.
Yeah.
Well, my follow-up question, though, or I guess my follow-up issue to address here is.
What the franchise is that they've thrown our way over the course of the Lego franchise.
What have they not done that you would like to see done.
As far as, you know, comic or game or other game Lego Lego Simpsons would be fun.
Yeah.
You got a pretty big cast.
Slash family guy.
Anything of its help.
Okay.
Um, because I popped one pop.
Lego Looney Tunes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Would be fun.
Because our time with Warner Brothers.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Of course you give you Lego and the maniacs.
It's that you call it a day.
I think like a mythological Lego thing would be kind of like-
How about just Lego Acme or something like that?
Or you can just put the whole darn you.
Because they've done Star Wars.
They've done DC.
They've done Marvel.
They've done Lord of the Rings.
They've done Pirates of the Caribbean.
Am I missing any?
Harry Potter?
Harry Potter?
Uh, Indiana Jones?
Oh, that's right.
Did you run the-
Yeah.
You know what I'd love to see?
Yeah.
I'd love to see a Bond.
Interesting.
I'm on the fence.
Are you kidding me?
No.
I'm on the fence.
Because Bond is not something that's really geared at kids.
No.
Like you had young James Bond.
That was an animated series for a while.
But again, we're talking about.
That's going back to my original argument.
It works as a-
Mainly as just like a shooter game.
Well, against each other.
Kind of like how gold my was.
I just-
Yeah.
I just think it'd be a Lego Transformers.
That- that entered my mind as well.
Yeah.
What I'd really like to see is that crossover that made our minds melt back in the 80s.
Transformers GI Joe.
Ah, yes.
But Lego GI Joe, come on.
Lego Ghostbusters.
Ah, I'd be-
I mean, because they'd like having these humongous roster.
We really want to have a huge roster to pick from and Ghostbusters.
But with Transformers and GI Joe, good Lord.
And imagine the- the mini kids and the building mechanism.
That'd be a blast.
Literally.
Duh!
I know there's one that one of your nieces would probably cry if ever happened.
What's that?
Lego Zelda.
Ooh.
Ah.
I'm telling you do- you could do it.
The only time I've ever released-
But- but see if they did that.
They'd only be able to put it on Nintendo consoles.
That's fair point.
Fair point.
The Batman.
Going on the-
One, aren't they?
No.
Lego Howard the Duck.
Shh.
Hey.
He's dead.
Marvel.
Lego Guardians?
He's- I don't know if they're in Lego Marvel.
But I know Howard is.
Howard is definitely in Lego Marvel.
I know they did the- the-
Marvel superheroes games that you're to kids.
They did the- they did the gauntlet.
Oh, yeah.
They did the infinity storyline thing.
And- like a little-
Marvel meetings.
That's gonna come up later in the show too.
I'm just saying-
I can't wait.
But it was just- that was just something that was kind of itch and
I mean, just that- the thing is gone on for so long.
And it just seems to have gotten-
Got no way from its original premise of something civil for the kids.
And like, well, no, the kids aren't exactly 80.
It's when it comes to playing games.
So I guess we need to-
And it's difficult to up a little bit.
Oh.
I just hope they didn't.
But, you know, you can make, you know, easy for the young kids.
Normal for the-
Up to the mid-teens.
You can do that, but-
Oh, just- just have a kid's mode on it.
We're just keeps it really, really simple, but, you know.

Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest.
And by the way, her birthday is Wednesday.
So we want to say happy early birthday to the official Justin Timberlake of this show.
Um, who Andrew got to go hang out with last night.
Yeah.
Have a good time.
Nobody called the brother.
But that's cool.
You know?
Oh, interesting.
Off topic commentary.
Okay.
Okay.
We need to get her back on this show.
I know.
Well, she's trying to get her significant other to join her.
That would be interesting.
That is, that is the plan right now.
We're just trying to get that together.
But happy early 30th birthday.
Charlotte, we love you.
We're very excited for you to have your birthday.
Especially given what this week is.
Big week for her this week.
We're going to talk about it later.
Oh, no.
Why do I have, oh, I've got, why do I have last week's up?
Oh, we are in week 11.
Okay.
I'm sorry.
Wow.
So doing way too fast.
That is.
Thursday night.
That's for all the doubters.
As the buffalo bills come to South Florida and get sent back on a planning
22 to nine.
God.
Good job Miami.
The division win people.
They don't have any running backs though.
So I'm lazy on them.
Don't care.
We're only a game behind.
No way.
Actually, we're a half a game behind New England.
For the division lead.
Are y'all in the hunt for the one of the wildcard spots?
Let me see if I can pull up the wildcard.
I don't have the wildcard pulled up right now.
Because I don't think you're going to you serve New England.
We're only a half game behind.
Oh, really?
Behind New England?
Yes.
You open his seven and two.
Miami is six and four.
Oh, and you do and you have the head to head.
So right now we've got the head to head.
But we haven't played them.
Um, because you play everybody division twice.
Right.
So.
You go to the Foxboro.
I hate going to Foxboro in December.
Come.
Cold.
But today.
Patriots.
Fans probably hate going to Foxboro.
But see.
I've always said that though.
If you live in the north, your team should play outside.
It's part of home field advantage.
If Miami goes to Detroit,
they're not worried because they're playing in a dome.
Yeah.
The climate is part of home field advantage.
I've always said that.
Unless the home team doesn't play well.
Bad weather.
But they practice in it all the time.
You've got to get the right personality.
Yes.
Starting today off, making Chad very happy.
My Tampa Bay.
Buccaneers go to RFK and beat the Washington football team.
27 to seven.
Yes, sir.
Good job Tampa Bay.
It's because it didn't start cold McCoy.
They were the one.
They were the fans.
The fans were screech chanting his name in the stands.
Really?
Bring him in.
That's what I read earlier.
That's what I was like.
Wow.
Tampa Bay.
By the way, that's Tampa Bay's first win since week one.
Oh.
They're now two and eight.
But we're only one game behind Carolina for third place in the division.
And Carolina's got a tie.
That's right.
You do.
Minnesota goes to Soldier Field and loses 21 to 13.
Houston.
Reminding Cleveland of who they are today.
23 to seven and some craziness in that game.
Where what was a fumble turns into a 20 yard completion.
Yeah.
Crazy.
Insanity.
Kansas City beats the defending champs 24 to 20 in Arrowhead today.
But what could be the biggest story of week 11 happened in St. Louis today.
As the mighty Denver Broncos come to town and get shown the door.
Twenty two to seven.
God.
Yeah.
And for those of you playing the home game, let me just remind you of something.
Let me get to it.
Oh, I missed it.
Where did you go?
Yes.
Come on.
Comparing a little bit slow.
St. Louis is four and six.
And you know who is all over that field that ties into the wrestling world.
Lord.
Lord.
He was everywhere.
I get the beast.
I've said forever.
He's on the wrong team.
New Orleans loses at home.
Again, Cincinnati comes in and beats them.
Twenty seven to ten.
Which if I'm not mistaken, I got to keep toggling between AFC and NFC standings.
But Cincinnati now has sole possession of first place with the tie.
Six three and one Baltimore and Pittsburgh and Cleveland all tied for second.
Wow.
Like that division right now couldn't be closer if they tried.
San Francisco beats the Giants who, by the way, are terrible.
Five interceptions for you like.
Five.
Is Eli trying to, you know, Peyton now beats one of Farbs records.
Is Eli going for the other one now?
Like so.
Good night.
The Giants are tied with the Washington football club for worst in their division.
They lose 16 to 10.
Atlanta and a nail biter at Carolina 19 to 17.
That is a divisional win, which has Chad and I were talking in pre-show.
Now Atlanta, who is four and six by the way, has the best record in their division.
So stupid.
I've said it before.
I'll say it again.
There should be a rule.
If you win your division and you have a losing record, your spot in the playoffs goes to somebody else.
Exactly.
Extra wild card.
Oakland.
Anytime.
I worry about how bad the dolphins.
Or how bad the fucking ears are.
I look to Oakland.
I look to the West.
And I feel better.
Because Oakland loses the San Diego 13 and 6 by the way, kids.
They're now oh and none.
Why?
How long?
Okay.
What the hell was that?
Check out the kid in the summer.
Very curious.
Ghosts just woke up.
Actually, that was more like chunk of the guy.
It's like Darth Vader.
Because I'll tell you what you know.
It's not happening right now.
What's the bottom win?
It's not a right now.
Detroit loses the Arizona 14 to 6.
So it's good to see Arizona get a win in the post Carson Palmer era.
Tonight though.
New England at indie.
This game is gonna be awesome.
Yes.
Because Andrew luck got blessed that kid.
He turned into a quarterback.
Now tomorrow night.
Pittsburgh, Tennessee.
I'm not sure if I'm a betting man.
I'm not sure I'm winning any money on this game.
Because I don't know which Pittsburgh Steelers are going to show up.
Exactly.
That doesn't want schizophrenia team, man.
Yeah.
Lots of the jets.
That whole line.
Oh.
And it's not like Tennessee's that bad.
They're just not that good either.
Oh.
Oh, I'm saying.
Is it Jake Locker their quarterback?
Kind of sums it up.
He's the best they have.
I mean, the kid's last name.
Something you're putting in the locker.
I may be going to hell, but I'm driving the bus.
May.
Week 12.
Let's talk about week 12 Thursday night.
Boy, if you need a nap.
Kansas City at Oakland.
Will there be a combined 20 points score?
Take the under.
Don's as a Steelers can take first place if they beat the Titans tomorrow night.
Sir right now that if is the active word in that sentence.
It is.
Next Sunday your early games.
Are they kind of all mixed up?
He didn't when they do this.
Tampa Bay is that Chicago.
That game could go either way.
Depends on what Tampa Bay team shows up.
Exactly.
Miami is at Denver.
Denver.
Licking the wounds from the loss.
But they're at home.
Right.
So I mean, it could come turn to a kicking contest.
We never know.
As we went loss record at home though.
I don't have that on the start.
As we know from March Simpson on the Simpsons a couple weeks ago.
There's a fantasy team and she played five kickers in one.
Because she studied the jet stream of the of the wind patterns in the cities.
Nice.
Boy your Dallas Cowboys coming off the buy at the New York Giants.
That's Sunday night football next week.
Yep.
Easy way.
See how about how do you get Sunday night football and then you have to play on Thursday.
That's kind of crazy.
Way the early game and have the time.
Yeah.
I guess they forgot that point a couple of hours that make that much difference.
I believe one will be at it.
Lancet.
That might be a decent game to watch.
That's a one o'clock Eastern game.
Also at one o'clock Eastern.
Josh Gordon comes back next week for Cleveland.
So.
There you go.
That in a cloud.
I mean.
It's a cloud.
Yeah.
The Jets are at Buffalo.
Ooh.
Blake.
CBS is like.
What other games do we have?
CBS is like Fred Jackson.
Please come back.
Jacksonville is at Indy.
Bet the house on into your helpless.
That's also an early game.
Green Bay is at Minnesota.
Detroit at New England.
You.
Tennessee will be at Philadelphia.
Oh, we didn't even talk about Philly today.
Cincinnati had Houston St. Louis at San Diego.
Arizona at Seattle next Sunday night.
The Washington football team is at San Francisco.
And next Monday night.
If you had told me about next Monday nights game six weeks ago.
I'd have been like greatness.
Well, is that gum at hold on.
I lost my page.
Hold on.
Does I have to wait for the stupid.
And I felt that complex to be playing videos.
And it makes things very difficult for me.
Okay.
I gotta go back to us.
Who's sweet can tell you.
Philadelphia goes to Green Bay and loses 53 to 20.
Yeah.
Sucks to have the under or Philly with the points.
Yes.
Oh, man.
That's 53.
How many touchdown passes is Roger Stone the past.
About 140.
And you know what?
People were given him grief because he said on his radio show that he wanted to get the record.
I don't blame him.
Yeah.
Why wouldn't you?
Next Monday night.
Baltimore at the Saints.
Why would they give him grief over that?
Because it's like, well, it's because that's just being selfish.
And what if he gets hurt.
You know, Don says that the sealer's just gets a friend.
Two weeks in a row that Ben has six touchdown passes each.
And then the next week, a big squad douche.
I've been embellished that last time.
I said that he's saying there.
Did you?
I published the last word.
But gentlemen, we're getting closer to December.
What does squad do?
Zero.
Nothing.
Okay.
One.
I was.
Big bag of nothing.
That's fairly certain.
That's one.
Nice tight round number.
None.
None.
Not going to relate to you.
And you know what?
I just want to say some of the people that are complaining about the weather.
Quit.
Stop.
Yeah.
People in six months.
I'm going to be like,
It's too hot.
Shut up.
You just turn it to cart.
I love the cold weather.
I do too.
Me three.
The wind kind of kicks your wrong wing kicks in.
Oh, I hate that wind that wait around a corner for you.
Oh, there's like a wind tunnel right up against my building at work.
When I got out of the car, I was losing.
I was not last week was jeans week, because when I wear slacks,
it's just cut just right through.
Do you make that sound again, Rob?
Only if I kind of really couldn't.
It's got to be a good hit.
I can't believe.
That's whole hike for wind.
You need to throw against the wind to cut through.
It's one of my favorite impersonations to do.
It may be terrible, because I can never hear what I really sound like.
But it's just fun to do.
Some things are better left on her, especially my favorite line.
Check out the kid who was somewhere.
Just love it.
Ever since I heard that, it just makes me laugh all the time.
Well, they talk about skip carry.
Who does the brave games that's his kid?
And he's just like, ah, ah, ah, tomorrow.
It's the best of the two carry on.
TBS.
And right up.
But then it's gone.
He's like, you know, carry carries after going.
I believe he's my son.
I can't remember who said that.
But oh, it was not Bob and Tommy.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't believe that you could come from my lines.
Music talk, boys.
Marilyn Manson announces this week that his new album next year
will be called the pale emperor.
I think he's got the first half of that cover.
I think the second half.
But you're a bigger fan than I am, sir.
I could kind of take your leave.
The last time I saw him.
I want to say this.
They were streaming some.
Metal show.
Metal award show that Jericho was.
Oh, yeah.
You're talking about that as I was driving home from work one night.
A couple years ago.
Yeah, and like Johnny Depp was his guitarist.
Uh-huh.
And he sounded terrible.
Johnny Depp who might have been a little struggling.
I'm talking Friday night.
Oh, I forgot.
At the Hollywood movie awards apparently he was struggling.
Oh, that's a fortunate thing.
But Johnny did find on the guitar.
But Marilyn sounded terrible on his vocals.
But some people say, how could you tell?
My favorite thing about Marilyn Manson is.
The fact that people thought he was Josh Saviano from the one of the years.
Exactly.
For a long time.
That's not really bad.
Now what that would be.
And what could be.
Either the smartest move of the week or the dumbest move of the week.
Richard Branson.
We all know who he is.
filthy rich.
And kind of dealing with a little bit of problems of his own right now.
Given what happened to his spaceship.
Is this true?
He offers 800 million dollars to Zeppwin.
For something like 23 shows or something.
Robert Plant says no.
He's the only one that says no.
Oh, for the lot of him's kid is in John Paul Jones is in Jimmy Page is in Robert
Players says the original reports were saying that Robert Plant ripped up the contract
at a press conference.
That did not happen.
But he's like, no.
Why is he doing this?
200 million dollars.
You're getting paid over 10 million dollars a show.
I mean, it could be more if you pull the Lauren Michaels and go.
If you want to pay bottom's kid less, that's fine.
I don't see that bit on them.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's not about the people's fee.
I don't pay ring no less.
That's your business.
But really.
What is his deal?
Like, why does he hate Zeppin so much?
I don't think that he hates Zeppin.
I think that he's just like, I'll do this when I want to do this.
Not when somebody wants me to do it for them.
You're not getting any younger horse.
Yeah.
I don't think he's in it.
Obviously he isn't no rush.
Did that one gig at the O2?
Which was amazing.
And I guess he felt like that was enough for him.
No.
I think Jimmy Page needs to do what he did last time to motivate plant to do no quarter.
Call David Coverdale.
Because you know, that's why they did Coverdale page.
Yeah.
That was his way of going.
If you don't want to do this, wouldn't know somebody who can.
Like a year later, they did that unplugged together.
We could find somebody that sounds almost exactly like you.
Yeah.
And you put David Coverdale.
He's a name.
You'd make a ton of money.
You, of course, you'd have the hardcore fans that wouldn't dig it.
It would be like this stupid.
I think it would be greatness.
But you're not doing it for them.
Nowadays, I don't think you would even go with Coverdale.
You get the leasinger from Wolfmother to do it.
Well, think about it.
I mean, you've heard.
I just don't want him.
He sounds almost exactly like him.
But I was just like coming up.
I could hit those notes anymore anyway.
And your Taylor Swift news of the week.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
She will be playing the CBS Thanksgiving Day parade.
Let me think.
I don't care.
Still won't watch it.
Oh, I watched it.
But I'll mute it whenever you hear it.
You know what?
I don't really, I don't even watch Macy's anymore.
Because Macy's has gotten to the point where you don't really get to see anything.
Everybody lip sinks.
Yes.
I want to watch it for the marching bands because I'm a marching band kid.
And you get like that long.
I've heard more Taylor Swift just now than I hit the hear of a marching band.
And that's sad because you get marching bands from all 50 states that are in
this thing.
And it's the commentary is so cheesy.
Is that because they're trying to keep it like family friendly?
But you still can.
You got Al Roker.
It's not like the guy's going to have a meltdown on national television.
He might after that weather marathon.
He just did where you said a new world's record for 37 hours of weather broadcast.
I mean, I think the worst you have is what happened to it.
The White House when he pooped on himself.
But other than that.
You know, that's that's record.
That's on the record.
Yeah.
Oh, that happened.
Yeah.
And really, since everybody's lip syncing, don't give a microphone.
Don't insult me.
You know, now that we've been going to more and more of these live stage shows, they always
have some sort of a sneak peek at a Broadway production during the Macy's Parade.
So I'll probably pay a more attention to that now.
Now that we're seeing more of these music.
But again, it's all lip synced.
I know.
But it just we would see it otherwise until it came to Dallas.
The quality has just gone down so much for me.
Well, consider that originally a lot of reason I want you was just to watch the balloons.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know.
And I still get a kick out of the balloons.
I'll be honest with you.
I'm a kid in heart.
Now you put Brittany Palmer on a float.
I'm there.
I don't care if she's bundled up like she's going skiing.
It's still pretty Palmer.
How are you doing?
You put Brittany Palmer on top of a cheese cracker in your there.
That is true.
I will not deny that.
I will not deny that, sir.
And that's not a knock against cheese.
And we still have not done my list of top 10 unhealthy crushes.
Don't think I've forgotten.
It's out there.
I just haven't.
The time needs not to write yet.
That's going to be one of those when I can't think of a list.
Because that's the default.
Because that's the easy one.
Right.
But, sir.
I'm just saying.
I'll throw four or five names at you.
Don says that the weather broadcast thing.
He raised money for the USO.
And broke a record for it.
Yeah.
So I can't hate on it.
I didn't know that.
No.
I'm just saying.
Totally overboard.
He may be sleep deprived by the time the Macy's break comes around because he hasn't really had
a proper break and he made like freak out this year.
Yeah.
So.
Thank you, Al Roker.
Good man.
Good man for doing what he did.
And now, here's the corrections in your neck of the woods.
That's what he says when he talks about the weather.
Oh, okay.
I'm not mind.
I thought you were correct.
No.
Because that's what he always says.
Now, here's the weather in your neck of the woods.
I genius.
Nice.
Nice.
Nice.
In news that could not make chat any happier.
There's a new kid rock album on the way.
Oh, boy.
February 24th.
It's called first kiss.
And I would like to think that it's going to be anything but for him.
Maybe his first kiss that hour.
This is the guy that was dating Pamela Anderson for a while.
Is there somebody else?
Of, but you can be next.
Oh, there was someone also relative fame that we shouldn't talk about in this show that
dated him.
We'll talk about it off air.
They did kid rock.
Uh huh.
Okay.
Remind me of air because I know you know that story, but you may have forgotten it.
It's one of my favorite stories from working in the bars.
So, New Year's Rock and Eve has added three more performers.
By the way, we were talking about SNL.
The Iggy Isel, you think?
Not as big of a deal as everybody made it out to be before I watched it.
I didn't think it was...
There's some girl that was singing with her.
She was singing on top of the track.
And I don't think she really got away from it.
It was just somebody singing to a track.
And that happens all the time.
I will say the Ariana Grande.
She's got to tap the break.
I'm like, you're 12.
Let's tap the break a little bit, you know.
But one direction.
Is it Charlie XCX or is it Charlie 110 or whatever.
I couldn't tell you.
And also someone else besides those two added to New Year's Rock and Eve.
She's playing! She's going to be on it!
Just change it to something you like.
By the way, Andrew, are you coming with us on Saturday night?
Oh, that's the saddest.
What?
We're taking a field trip Saturday night.
We'll talk about it off air.
Sure.
It's a big deal.
The only thing I would like to about this is the playoff games it won.
So yeah, I'll be fine.
The only thing I would like to about this is that Star Wars mean that came up.
I'll about to base no rebel.
I have an ad at walking towards.
Well, there's a song too.
Team Unicorn did the song.
They've done a spoof of this song.
Yeah.
Team Unicorns done it.
Nerdist has a link up to it.
I'm a big fan of Team Unicorn.
Those chicks are awesome.
And if you were, if you had tickets for this show.
Culture Club, a reunion tour that was supposed to start last night in California.
The first time all four original members have performed together in 12 years since they played the Royal Albert Hall.
It's been canceled.
It was supposed to go through the end of the year.
Boy George found a polyp on his throat that's going to require surgery.
Let it go.
That's all I'm saying.
Let it go.
I know he was supposed to play in this situation.
I'm you and you're me.
Let it go.
He was he was scheduled to play here a cup.
What did a couple weeks ago?
We were looking at the observer.
I thought he was DJ.
Yeah.
He was like playing some crudty small club somewhere.
And all of a sudden, I hear that this was happening in front of the show.
Steven Zimmerman says he feels repeat about making trainer.
Thank you, sir.
Come here and make him stop.
It's everywhere.
I just, I see, but see, I don't listen to radio.
So something like that.
I can't get sick of because radio can't make me so open to a restaurant and it's playing over here.
It's so catchy.
And again, so it was Friday.
That doesn't make it good.
But it makes it.
Now that's it.
But that was funny though.
Especially if you listen to Hollywood Babylon.
It's funny.
Like the creep.
Like sleeves, Christmas song.
A belated happy birthday.
A belated happy birthday from Friday to Ralph Garmin.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
His birthday was this past week.
So.
I know they're taking some time off on Babylon because Kevin's filming yoga posters.
So.
I'm still getting over his.
His kid.
I can't.
I can't.
Steven says it's catchy like a rash.
New releases and places you get new releases in local places and things this week.
I don't know.
I got nothing.
You can't come on record stores anymore.
You can't get him at best by anymore.
You download it.
That's all you do anymore.
Or you ordered from Amazon.
And even Amazon tells you you can download it.
And then they'll send you the hard copy.
So.
What's happening?
Ruhal.
They said with somebody.
Has a hatchet.
I got nothing.
There.
It was all over the news.
And I never quite caught the gist of it.
I'm sure it was a payoff.
But this guy you're here right now.
Brian Ferry.
Release F. E. R. R. Y.
Let it go.
I'm a fan of the guy.
It releases Avon more.
I don't know if that means he's selling women's beauty products.
Or with, but it's one word.
So I don't know.
Also.
Making Shad very happy this week.
I'm sorry.
The Pesh Mode.
Live in Berlin.
A really.
Yes sir.
Sweet.
This Tuesday.
And on the opposite side of that coin.
The brain will open from one direction.
God.
It's this week called full.
What a sucker punch.
That way.
But you know what?
The one direction.
Not that bad buddy.
A couple other songs I find kind of that story on my life.
It's kind of catchy.
Now they're from what I hear all four of them are.
Airs to the mass and kill empire.
But.
You know.
That's still one more song that I ever liked of new kids on the block.
Really?
Don't.
I was the president of tank.
Teams against new kids.
Absolutely.
Go like the right stuff back in the day.
No one to fan of it.
I don't know.
But he's judging you out.
We're going.
Also an album called The Art of McCartney.
This is all artists covering Paul McCartney songs.
I believe food fighters is involved in this thing.
Let's get up right now.
Please do.
You already have me a treat.
Come on.
Come on.
Go.
Yeah.
Good name is on Have a track.
What's important?
What's that?
It's the first one I came up.
Okay.
Who's all on it?
I'm.
He's looking at that right now.
This guy's brand new album.
Bowie.
It's called Nothing has changed.
Thanks to his plastic surgeon.
I got a copy.
Yes.
I'll give it a shot.
I like going.
He's real hit or miss with me.
Like some of his stuff I absolutely love.
And I also got heard in a doctor told me a story about we were talking about, uh,
let's dance.
As we know, the guitar is on that one.
See the wave on.
Yes.
Why he wasn't in the video.
CB Ray told Bowie he didn't want to do it.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Did not know that.
Yeah.
So Bowie said nope.
Can't be in the video.
And you've been.
CD probably said.
That's okay.
Cool.
Cut me a check.
Because he was wanted to tour on his own.
You don't want to tour with Bowie.
Yeah.
And while we're while you're looking to that.
Another thing I heard the other day.
We all know that a couple weeks ago.
The guy that played saxophone on Baker Street.
That session.
You are kidding.
I think it's so iconic.
Never made another nickel after it.
From that.
So having problems.
Yeah.
I'm trying to go to the Wikipedia page for it.
What if it comes up?
What will cover it then?
Okay.
I can already tell you right now.
Track one is maybe I'm amazed.
Billy Joel.
And it's all.
All these.
Manchester Orchestra will eat this.
Really.
This is an album called Hope This Week.
And another band for the kids with a close and a hair TV on the radio.
Release is an album called Seeds.
I used to have some Manchester Orchestra stuff.
I don't happen to it.
You're the clubhouse podcast live.
Every Sunday night.
70 sort of for Pacific.
We are your one stop shop for all pink sports and entertainment.
Let's get back to the sports and talk some college football.
Biggest headline of the day comes out this morning.
We'll must champ.
We'll leave the University of Florida when this season is over.
What do you just got?
I just got the list pulled up.
Okay.
Quickly.
Quickly about this.
How many tracks?
37.
All right.
I'm in.
Some fighters on there.
There's 34.
And then there's eight bonus tracks.
This is ridiculous.
Two fighters in there.
Got us.
It might be easy to tell you who's not.
I mean, I'm looking at kiss.
Def leopard.
The cure.
Heart.
Steve Miller.
All city.
Perry Farrell.
Doctor John.
Oh.
That was Cooper.
The airborne toxic event.
BB King.
Um.
Sammy.
Hey.
Are doing birthday.
Cat Stevens.
A long and winding road.
Cause you said is long to use.
Yeah.
Heart's doing band on the run.
Dylan doing things we said today.
There's a thing.
Uh.
See Harry Connor Jr.
My love.
Brian Wilson doing.
Very kind of junior.
Do that.
I'm on board with that.
Korean Bailey.
Ray doing blue bird.
Black bird.
It says blue bird.
Barry Gib.
Doing when I'm 64.
Singing in the house.
On the barra Gib.
Saying show.
Roger.
Daltry doing.
Helter.
Oh dear.
Uh.
The cure.
Featuring.
James McCartney.
Doing hello.
Goodbye.
Uh.
Which we all as we all know.
The geeky guy said.
We're glad the Beatles weren't Hawaiian.
Cause that song would be.
You say Aloha.
And I say Aloha.
Aloha.
Aloha.
Billy Joe's on here more than once.
He does live and let die as well.
Nice.
In.
I'm in.
This thing.
This song sounds fantastic.
All right.
Will must jump.
We'll finish the season in Florida.
Out.
I feel kind of bad for the guy.
I really do.
Why?
Because I really thought this was a good thing.
I really thought he was going to do well.
I shouldn't have let him hear your pro.
But.
Floor State fans.
Before you start hanging those mission accomplished banners.
Let me remind you of something.
When Ron's looked found out he was going to be gone by the end of the year.
He beat you that year.
And we'll get to Fort State here in a minute.
All I know is Texas.
You better put Charlie Strong on a long term iron clad contract.
Cause I think Ford is going to come calling.
Come home, Charlie.
Street lights on.
Come home.
I don't know.
I don't think he's going to leave Texas.
He's already turning that program around.
I want.
I wanted here.
I want him in Florida.
I do.
I love Charlie Strong.
He's here.
I want.
He's not going anywhere.
He.
He's finally weeding out the route.
I'm just interested to see who they're going to go after.
Cause it's not like you can have any preening schmo come to that program.
Ron's okay.
You think they may have to.
You.
Sabin.
God.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Money talks.
I don't want him.
That does.
What he did to my dolphins.
I don't want him.
Also, Georgia running back Todd Gurley just comes back from his suspension.
Now has a tornado seal.
It is left knee.
What?
After getting suspended for make taking making money for autographs.
Most.
Bye, Bonnie.
And if you'll rusher's have a two-three year.
And maybe say college as well.
University of Miami.
On the one day of the year that a zero zero tie is fine by me when Miami plays
Fortest State.
You had one job.
One job.
Job.
You're up 23 to 10 at the half.
And you intercept the ball right before the half.
You get to kick off.
You've got this thing.
And God they played horribly in that second half.
Play the entire second half on their heels.
And I don't know if Miami lost that game or a Fortest State one that game because I'm going to tell you something.
My Fortest State bias aside.
They are not playing like national champions.
The last four out of their last five games they've had to come from behind in the second half and win it.
And maybe it's just like a second half game.
Because, what job?
Fortest State looked like a different team when they came out of the second half of that
Notre Dame game.
And a lot of people wanted to know why they filled the three in the playoff system this week.
That's why.
They're not dominating people like they did last season.
And I will say this publicly.
As much as I cannot stand, I load the existence of Florida State University.
I have nothing but love for Jimbo Fisher.
Always have.
When they hired him, I said you guys got a hell of a higher right there.
And a lot of Fortest State fans were like, what are you talking about?
I'm like, trust me.
Did you know that him and Mushchamp own a lake house together or beach house together?
No.
Where?
They never said where it was.
Because they worked at all as you together.
So they wouldn't have these enough amount of beach house.
Awesome.
But I respect Jimbo Fisher.
I truly, truly do.
It's kind of like Texas and Charlie Strong.
I want Charlie Strong to be successful, just not Texas.
And I can't have that.
So.
Oh.
That game last night.
I just.
You almost want to cry.
I did.
I was like, are you you're getting?
I want.
Midway through the third quarter.
I said, Florida State's going to screw around in this game.
It's going to happen.
I just, I could just see like Miami was just getting gasped.
But Miami cannot, should not be hanging their heads.
You've got a true quarterback.
A true freshman for a quarterback.
Who played well last night.
Right.
He played well.
You know, Miami's not even ranked.
Are they?
No.
They're not.
See, and that's.
That's the big.
And congratulations to Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon.
God.
That's the FBS rushing record.
You ready for this, Chad?
Four hundred and eight yards and four touchdowns.
He didn't even play in the fourth quarter.
Good night.
Let's that sink in for a minute.
Four hundred and eight yards rushing.
Four touchdowns and three quarters.
He.
He.
Somebody.
Oh, you process.
Yeah.
Let's go through some of the scores.
Tuesday night Buffalo over Akron 55 to 24.
Uh, Cincinnati East Carolina has now fallen off the map.
Cincinnati beats them 54 to 46.
In the barn burner in San Antonio, Texas,
UTSA over Southern Miss 12 to 10.
Ooh.
Staten.
You best.
USC continuing to fall off the map.
But they do beat Cal this week.
38 to 30.
You see up in your Friday night game.
Takes Tulsa to the wood shed 31 to 7.
Florida.
Tulsa's a basketball school in Florida.
They had South Carolina on the ropes.
Cause I told Charlotte's boyfriend Cody three weeks ago or two weeks ago after the Georgia game.
He said does this save much champs job.
I said he gives him a stay of execution.
He has to win out to keep his job.
He lost yesterday.
Some artists made a lot.
Um.
South Florida beats SMU though.
Down 13 to nothing after three scores.
Two touchdowns in the fourth quarter beats SMU in their house.
14 to 13.
Georgia Tech number 22 upsets Clemson.
26 to eight Clemson number 19.
Penn State with another big win over Temple 30 to 13.
Number 21 Duke gets upset by an unranked Virginia Tech.
By a point.
Iowa over Illinois 30 to 14.
Ohio State.
They're not pretty but a wins a win.
Number eight Ohio State over number 25 Minnesota.
Badger.
That's wins.
That right.
Minnesota's the golden goal first.
Army loses to Western Kentucky 52 to 24.
That quarterback from Western Kentucky's no Joe.
Let's tell you something sir.
I want you to hear me on this.
When your quarterback throws for two touchdowns and runs for four.
I'm sure I inflated those numbers a little bit but not by much.
He had an amazing day.
And they had those really cool shiny helmets too.
Which is nice.
Let's see what else have we got going on here.
Air Force over Nevada 35 to 38.
Always like to make sure we cover the service.
Universities Marshall takes rice to the wood shed 41 to 14.
TCU barely escapes Kansas.
So it begs the question.
Will TCU be in that top four come Tuesday night.
I don't know.
Because that was not a pretty win.
But it's a win.
It's a win.
It's a win.
Wisconsin.
Number 20 shows number 16 Nebraska the door 59 to 24.
Oklahoma over Texas Tech 42 to 30 darn it.
Notre Dame loses again to North Western 43 to 40 on a last minute overtime kick.
I feel better out of the game because they're paying.
Gosh plus a nightmare of a schedule.
I would not want to play it.
Number 14 Arizona barely escapes Washington 27 to 26.
But the big news of the day down goes number one.
Mississippi State loses at Alabama 25 to 20.
Alabama number five.
So now does Alabama sneak in because they're now on the fringe.
Or do people think that maybe Mississippi State had some paper champion things going on?
We'll know for sure on Tuesday night.
I hope they swap.
Just swap rules.
Navy all over Georgia Southern 52 to 19.
So be proud there sir.
Absolutely.
Tennessee over Kentucky 50 to 16.
Hawaii blank San Jose State 13 to nothing.
Number 23 Utah barely escapes the unranked stand for 20 to 17.
BYU all over UNLV 42 to 23.
Georgia number 15 upsets number nine Auburn in the Georgia dome 34 to 7.
Number 24 Texas A&M falls the unranked in Missouri 34 to 27.
Wow.
Missouri got all over them.
Yeah.
A&M got up quickly.
But then Missouri just came back and warmed them.
Texas wins at Oklahoma State 28 to 7.
We talked about the Florida State.
Michigan State number 12 over Maryland 37 to 15.
Unranked Arkansas shows LSU the door 17 to nine.
Huge upsets there in Fayetteville.
Utah over North Texas State 35 to 17.
Boise State gets a win.
And number six Arizona State upset by unranked Oregon State 35 to 27.
Which a lot of people think was going to be one of the big, one of the big games of the day.
Did I really turn out to be that way?
Tell you what.
We've got two more weeks.
Yeah.
In championship games.
Rivalry week is two weekends a way sir.
It's going to be crazy.
So much football that weekend.
Because now we don't you have a quadruple header for the NFL on Thanksgiving now.
Do we?
You do now.
Good.
Yeah.
You have the early game, the 11 AM game central.
It was usually when Detroit plays and then Dallas will play.
And then you'll have a late afternoon game and a night game.
I'm pretty sure that's right.
Let me double check that for you.
Because that's the way it was last year.
Why not?
Oh, there's just three games this year.
Yeah.
I remember there being four.
There was four last year.
Yeah.
Seattle.
San Francisco is the light game.
So what was it?
A double header on each network?
Or was it?
No.
It was um.
Detroit always plays on CBS.
Dallas plays on Fox.
And then I think NFL network had one game.
And I think ABC had our NBC had the fourth one.
All right.
Let's get to In Memorial because we've got a couple of big ones to do this week.
Very very upset about this first one.
It's one of those.
Where.
I get reminded of how old I am.
Born Henry Lee Jackson on January 11th, 1956.
He would become known as Big Bank Hank.
One third of the sugar Hill gangs.
You got to play one track.
And you know exactly what you're talking about.
1979 was rappers delight.
He was born on in the Bronx.
Well, in several wrestling championships at Bronx Community College,
he graduated with an associate's degree in oceanography.
Wow.
Well, would not have expected that.
He couldn't get a job in his field.
So he worked a door to Bronx nightclub called the sparkle.
You're an oceanographer living in the Bronx.
You think?
Yeah.
Close to the Atlantic.
Got it.
That's good.
I started working at a Bronx nightclub called the sparkle,
where he gave him a music manager for Grandmaster,
Caz and the mighty force MCs.
While working on a pizza rea, he did his job so well.
The owner of the shop expanded his business with to Englewood,
New Jersey.
And he went over there to manage.
He also managed a hip hop group called the cold crush brothers.
Which then would become the sugar Hill gang.
He was 22 at the time.
If you don't remember who he is, he was the guy that did the whole thing
where he was going to sweep lowest lane off her feet.
Because he was better than Superman.
Don says Fox and CBS switched the Detroit and Dallas games each year.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
So there's that.
I thought he was a hotel motel holiday and got it.
No.
That's a...
Master G.
Isn't it?
I thought there was some reason.
I thought that was Hank.
As I'm here.
As I'm there.
I'm big backhanking.
I'm everywhere.
I know you're right.
We were both right actually.
I'm sorry.
He did a Superman bit and the hotel motel.
Okay, okay.
So there's not thought that was okay.
Pass away this past week.
Just that whole...
We're not getting any younger thing.
And he contributed.
Because with...
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
That's...
People will argue what the birth of rap music was.
To me, that's where it really started.
Well...
But if you really...
The heck happened there.
Mainstream popularity and all that.
I mean, I'm sure rap was around.
But I know people want to always give credit to blondies.
Rapture, but...
Yeah.
But if you watch those, they did a history of hip-hop thing on VH1.
They really shouldn't be credited with that song.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
It's an interesting story behind that song.
But people know that song.
And he was one of the true pioneers of hip-hop.
He will be missed after passing away at the age of 57.
20 years older than him.
Passing away yesterday.
Was it yesterday?
Yes.
At age 77, Glenn A. Larson.
And I had no idea.
He was still with us.
If you are someone of...
Of Chad and Maya's age,
this man, his name.
You saw it at the end credit at all of us.
Every TV show.
I'll put it to you.
I'll just give you a small sampling.
He was a producer and a creator.
Battlestar Galactic of the original.
Quincy M.E.
The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries.
BJ and the Bear.
The Fall Guy.
Magnum PI.
Knight Rider.
Wow.
He was also a member of a vocal group called The Four Preps.
And he appeared with them in one of the Gidget Films.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
And I'm sure what you read was probably just the tip of the eyes of a TV project.
Produced three gold records for capital.
All of which he either wrote and or composed.
You want to talk about it?
You also wrote and composed the theme of the Fall Guy, which was sung by.
Lee Major himself.
Yeah, but Sam thought it was Lee.
Yep.
You want to start writing credit working for the fugitive?
That's man contributed.
Have a lead.
Do.
Do.
Do.
Are you?
Also, his first hit series was Alius Smith and Jones, which was a huge fan of.
Oh, my god.
Wow.
This is really.
This is really bad.
I'll start Galaxica.
He got it unprecedented $100 million per episode, which is why that's showed
it in the last very long.
I mean, to guy.
If you lived in the 80s, you saw his name all the time.
Here we go.
That's a filmography producer.
It takes a thief.
I'm a cloud.
The Virginian.
Alius Smith and Jones.
The $6 million man.
Oh, god.
Get Christy loves.
Switch.
Quincy, M.E.
The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries.
Battlestar Galactica.
B.J.
On the bear.
Buck Rogers in the 25th century.
Take it as much.
The misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.
Galactica, 1980.
We don't recognize that.
Magnum PI.
The Fall Guy.
Knight Rider.
Manimal.
We can all be home once.
Highway man.
Team Knight Rider.
You remember that?
Very shortly lived.
Also was a consulting producer on the Galactica remake.
So he did $6 million man, but not the bionic woman.
He did not.
He's not listed.
Wow.
It is not listed.
He was the executive producer.
Oh, both of the TV movies.
$6 million man.
Why women in more than $6 million man.
The solid gold kidnapping.
I just can't think of $6 million man.
I think of him fighting.
Bigfoot.
Yeah.
And have it.
Both of those accurate.
But that man will be missed.
Greatly.
Absolutely.
We are your one stop shopper.
All things sports and entertainment.
Let's combine them both and talk a little pro wrestling.
Because I'm going to say something, sir.
There's maybe an odd song to play for this segment.
But there's a reason for it.
We were able to meet a very, very great man recently.
We actually got to interview him twice on this show.
Yeah, once in the studio and once at the festival, right?
Correct.
Directed a documentary about
this.
Ah.
My computer just went down on me.
Just said, no, you cannot do that, sir.
A documentary called Back on Bad Street.
Could not have had more fun with them involved.
Ah.
Why is my computer now?
Why don't you help me out here?
The DVD is available by the way.
Right now.
You can get it.
What is going on with my computer here?
What are you trying to get to?
It's just not doing what I want it to do.
Well, that clears it up.
F4.
That works.
And Alt as well.
But the combination that Keanu Reeves get pressing in the matrix.
I'm like, why is he pressing?
And what is that supposed to accomplish?
But we had Keith Alcorn on the show.
The guy, one of the creators of this film.
We also had his co-director on.
And we were at the Dallas video fest.
WWE is endorsing it.
Really?
Yes.
Dawn actually found a link.
He and I were hanging out this past week.
Dawn found a link from a wrestling site that said WWE is endorsing it.
They've actually put up an ad.
I want to say you can buy it through shop.
Stop it.
Are you joking?
They posted the trailer on the website and everything.
What?
Wow.
So congratulations to Keith and the guys.
Saw that on a wrestling site.
And I was like, do WWE is endorsing that.
He's like, I know.
So congratulations to Keith Alcorn.
You're there.
You say we can get him back on the show.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
You can order it now.
I believe it is available if you like to own a copy of it.
Very, very funny.
It very much enjoyed it.
And Keith is a great guy.
I don't go into this thinking it's going to be a straight, serious documentary because
it doesn't anything but you.
You get some information, but you'll be laughing your butt off.
And if he wants to do a special edition, and maybe have an alternate commentary
track with a couple of guys on a podcast that might know what they're talking
about a little bit just calls.
Are he still?
We're more available.
We may not be listed, but we're easy to find.
So.
Oh, he's.
Don said he did email front of the show.
Kelly Kitchens with the link on that.
And then thanked her.
Wow.
Because if I was for her, we didn't even have that opportunity.
And had to go back and listen to that show.
I'm trying to find.
Is that the one.
Yes.
If you go back to episode a season five episode eight.
Uh, it's called we may be diggers on the cowboys.
Great.
It's probably one of the longest episodes we've ever done.
But very, very funny.
So congratulations to Keith for getting that endorsement.
Now speaking of people living double lives, I guess you could say.
A song you didn't think you'd hear on this show in this segment again.
But we're going to talk about it.
CM Punk has a new job.
As a writer for Marvel Comics.
What?
He is going to be writing Thor annual number one.
Not who I would have picked.
Yeah.
Wolverine may be.
Yeah.
What is Chris for this?
He's a huge fan.
If I've got the.
The trade for Avengers versus X men, he writes the forward to it.
Oh.
But he will be writing Thor starting with annual number one.
They're not starting to say how long his run is going to be.
But and by the way, happy six month, the verse to read the him and the AJ Lee.
Just celebrated that recently.
I read that and when you know what good for Mr. Brooks.
Yeah, but I just never would have picked that.
And on the other side of that coin.
You know, sometimes I'm okay with things that make me happy being in other mediums and other parts of my life.
And sometimes I go.
Are you freaking kidding me?
You guys know how much I love grumpy cat.
You know grumpy cat makes me happy.
Yeah.
Grumpy cat's going to be on a rawde morning.
Why?
I don't know.
I guess pushing that grumpy cat Christmas movie they're doing.
Well, if someone is listening, they said it.
And he makes you happy.
So it's actually a she I found.
Oh.
Well, whoever's listening to the show is trying to make you happy.
No, because he, you know what?
And I'm glad you said that, Andrew.
Because there's something we forgot to talk about the last two weeks.
Somebody's listening to this show because three weeks ago on this show.
And I'm fired up now.
If you remember, we talked about Lana, right?
And her picture on the IMDP page where she's holding up the American flag, right?
Yeah.
The next day.
So next day.
I'm not kidding you.
The next day Steven Zimmerman sends me a text from a Facebook page called wrestling memes.
And it's that picture with him underneath it saying,
Lana, what the blank?
Not 18 hours later.
Somebody's listening to this show.
Wow.
I hope so.
Yeah.
And at the point.
Yeah.
I swear you, because I said, I said, dude, did you do that?
He's like, no, I didn't.
I'm like, are you kidding me?
I don't know why that would upset you.
Give him brother some credit.
I was like, are you kidding me?
Email Rob asked for his number.
And just start calling him.
Yes.
He will give you ideas for the show.
Or just say, I heard this on a podcast and thought it was hilarious.
Credit the podcast on the clubhouse podcast.com.
I'm good.
I'm good at that point.
Right.
The next day, dude.
It didn't even make it to lunch the next day.
That's just how it goes.
Sorry.
It says it's him.
Because it's him.
It's giving away all the material.
You shmuck.
Oh, it's like, are you kidding me?
And as we know,
Raw was in England last week.
So you know what you're getting there.
But they actually edited out a chant from Raw
where the crowd was going, where's our network?
Oh, because it's been pushed back again.
Yikes.
Yeah.
They actually edited that out of Raw.
They were chanting ICW, which is a local Scottish promotion.
They thought they were chanting ECW and left it in.
Oh, shit.
But that happened.
Oops.
That being said, let's talk about Raw, gentlemen.
Boy, that Ryback face turned in last very long.
Wonder why.
Some would.
Well played, Andrew.
Um, someone would say that it wasn't really a full turn,
because he also turned on the authority,
but I don't think he's on either team for survivor shares.
I just don't.
But you know what, sir.
We still have one person on each side who have not been announced yet.
Really?
Reference last week?
Yeah.
Yep.
Now although I'm hearing that,
Dwayne may not be able to make 31.
Because he'll be promoting Furious 7 at that point.
Oh, god.
Ah.
So.
Oh, we got, we're going to talk about that here in a while, too.
Yeah.
But I still think that's the way you do it.
And for those of you that missed last week's show,
first of all, go back and listen, help with Raw that out.
But also, I said, they were going to get to the go home show,
and you're going to have to one person on each side left,
and H was going to say it's okay.
I'm going to put myself in the match.
And see, if I booked it, then Sina would say,
Oh, you know what?
Great call.
However, I figured you do that and he brings out the rock,
and that sets up Triple H rock for wrestling.
Yeah.
I'm on board.
Yeah.
I wrote that.
So I'd have to be honest.
Of course you're on board.
And you guys know how I am with what I find one thing that tickles me
more than anything when the NFL plays in London.
What's that?
About the fans?
I'm supporting you every team?
No, no, no.
It's supporting a specific team.
Oh, the Patriots teams at Patriots jerseys in London make me laugh.
Yeah, but you know what tickles me just as much when they were the Patriots.
No, on Raw Monday night, when they were chanting, we the people.
I was like, here's a question.
Just a thought.
It's going to put it out there.
Do you know what that means?
Just leave a red copy.
I don't understand.
And when Rusev came out to get his accolades from Vladimir Putin,
after we in the US title,
the guy that was supposed to be the emissary for Putin,
that was the worst Russian accent I have ever heard in my entire life.
I have heard some bad Russian accents.
See, rocky four.
But I was just about to say,
or any member of the cast of Red Dawn.
But this guy was like,
we would like to thank you for the things that you did.
Like who are you?
Peter Griffin?
I was about to end there.
They hit the two that took the voice actor.
I said the work for Peter Griffin in Moscow.
And I'm going to say this.
This bunny thing better have a payoff.
I don't see it happening.
What could it pay off me?
I did find it interesting that Jericho put the bunny over on SmackDown.
That's all I'm saying.
Like he put the bunny over big on SmackDown.
But how much longer is he going to be around?
At least to the end of the year?
Is he?
I thought it was like like,
and they did a,
after they went off the air for SmackDown,
he put over Dean Ambrose huge.
Said that Ambrose is the future of the company.
He's,
it was a long time coming.
Ambrose has definitely earned my respect.
That's good to hear, sir.
What I'm telling you, this bunny,
I, I'm wondering if it's going to be Jericho in the money suit.
Just because the way he was talking on SmackDown.
That's going to be a realtor.
So Jericho put himself over.
It could be worse.
It could be horn swaggle.
Because as we know, horn swaggle
is the way they end everything they can't figure out how to end.
He is the official Saturday Night Live's sketch ender.
I can't stand that.
Can't leave me there, can I?
No.
But no, outside of that, not much from raw for me.
But again, it was in the UK.
So whenever they're in the UK,
it's always, it tends to be a less,
enjoyable product,
which is pretty sad,
considering that those guys only get them what?
Once, once or twice a year?
I don't know.
See, it just sent me a meme of,
when they interviewed Roman Reigns on Monday night,
it was quote-unquote live via satellite.
And underneath it,
it's rocky going brilliant, just brilliant.
Sure, it's live via satellite.
He was 12 hours earlier.
It was fun.
So we got a big announcement from,
from Jeff Jarrett this week on his global force wrestling.
They are going to be presenting
this week.
Jeff Pan's wrestled kingdom nine on January 4th.
Think about who's commentating it.
Oh, oh!
This is happening.
And Jeff and I have been talking about
working together for a while and things just lined up.
They haven't said who's going to be
commentating with him yet.
But GFW will be presenting this thing.
This is global force wrestling's first deal.
That's cool.
So, J.R. back in the folder,
in the fall. It'll be live at 2 a.m. Eastern and then replayed at 7 p.m. Eastern because it's in your
payer. So there's that. You ready, boys? So we talked a couple of weeks ago how impact only
has enough footage to get them through this Wednesday, right? And that they were going
to be doing, they're going to be pre-empted next week for Thanksgiving. Pre-empted for Christmas
pre-empted for New Year's, right? And they were going to be doing best of shows all next month.
I'll contraire them on frayer. Wednesday night is the last episode of impact on Spike TV
in the history of Ever. It's gone. Yes. However, they may have found a new home without
looking at the run sheet. Destination America owned by the discovery. Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
They are indeed negotiations with the Destination America channel. Well, there's a huge gap
on TLC's programming since Honey Boo Boo got canceled. This would fit into that slot perfectly.
I would think. Yes. Same target office. Destination America. Except when we do our biggest
pay for their view of the year, it's in Japan. So if you call your cable provider, they don't
even know if you have that channel. I honestly don't know what I have it or not. I haven't
looked. But this Wednesday, they're not even air in the best of shows. And you remember what
I said, they can air repens the cops for two hours and get the same ratings. They're
going to do it. It's going to happen. Wow. The trigger has finally been pulled. And it's
funny because Billy Ray puts up a tweet this past week. And very, he didn't reference anything.
He just said, but when it, when a general can't lead their army, the army falls. This
is true. Speaking of this guy, E.C. 3 did not get to appear at Tommy Dreamer's House
a hardcore show last night. He has a torn bicep. And we'll be having surgery sometime
this coming week. So there's that. We'll talk a little bit out a little bit about impact
real quick. And there was a couple of notes I had. It has a biz had more turns in his career
than a NASCAR race. I think so. Hollywood movies are jealous right now. Because now he's
part of James Storm's deal. I just, I have no idea what he just said. Well, it has more
twists and turns than Hollywood movie. Oh, that's not really saying much these days. That's true.
Unless it's the Nolan Brothers. That's fair point. And does TNA work the cheat pop more
than anybody? It's like every promo I see them cut. These people want this. Don't
pander dude that did fully just get in everybody's head. I'm just wondering. I just TNA was building
so much steam. And it just, they were, they really were for a while. And it's like they have moments
now because Steven and I talked about this at length a couple of weeks ago. They have these moments
where you go. And then we bring out the managerie. When are we going to give up on this thing?
Because it's not working. It didn't work when they started. Are they afraid to, to lose the
time slot? The time slot that covers up? I mean, they're not worried about it now. Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, kind of a boot point. Because we are, we are getting ready for destination America.
Or Marco. Marco. The barn burner of all barn burners. The CW won't pick this.
Just this. I don't fire red that the other day. And I was like, you've got to be kidding me.
It was going to happen. I mean, it was going to happen. It was just a question of when. How long
was it going to take? How long was it going to just beat this horse? So we're going to have to
see the fate of TNA. I hope we're supposed to know this week if that's that deal gets done.
So just keep listening. I'm sure we'll be talking about it next week because we do our live
pre-show for for Survivor Series. Right, Mysterio doesn't. Whoa, what just happened there?
Okay. We're still good. We're so on there. Oh, did you kick the box off the deal?
Okay. Ray Mysterio says he does not want to resign with WWE. Good.
His, but I'll tell you what, his contract. I just lost myself there, Andrew. I don't know what happened
there. There we go. You're good. You're good. His contract isn't up till April 1st.
So he is going to be making some appearances between now and then.
What? What? Yeah. Exactly. So what?
Cut a guy check. He's got to earn it. Don't get used to this, Stargony, more.
I can't. Oh, yeah. Yeah. The great colleague has been released.
So I guess Vince thinks he's got enough of a footprint in that indie market that he doesn't need them anymore.
Also Brad Maddox's profile has disappeared from the website. Although, although one of the
views is they're just selling the him being fired as GM bit because apparently he's, they've
told him just wait on a phone call. We're working on how to bring you back in. Also working on
his new version of his character is Don's namesake. Fontango saying this. We get ready for
Fontango 2.0. Yes. One point out. Yes. Sure. I'm sure it's going to be gangbusters.
And if you are one of the our empire members in Canada, you're going to start getting
SmackDown before everybody else. We're going to start Aaron SmackDown on Wednesdays.
Well nice. That ain't right. And as we know, January 15th, sci-fi moves it to Thursdays
because NXT's going to move to Wednesday. So so you'll have raw Monday, main event Tuesday,
SmackDown on Wednesday in Canada, NXT wins everywhere else, sci-fi, SmackDown Thursday.
And then we really don't know where impacts can't wind up. But let's talk a little bit about
SmackDown if we can't German. They, they open the show with the highlight reel with the
authority and they showed the whole Vicki Guerrero bit. For those of you playing the home game,
they keep Guerrero's been gone for five months now. You are kidding. It was June.
I was like, it's been that long. And for all accounts, she's doing very well and is very happy.
So nothing but love for Vicki Guerrero. But yeah, that was five months ago. Still the best
acting job steps effort done, which did the heck. That was funny. Yeah. That was funny for me. So
and let me tell you something SmackDown. He's he's addressing a TV show now.
I'm going to try to be calm about this. We were showing some of the features of 2K 15.
And I, you know, 2K 15 looks great. It looks amazing. I love it.
But when you decide that you're going to show, oh, oh, I'm sorry I wrote that wrong.
If you're going to start showing matches on 2K 15 and you decide that you're going to show
dream matches and you show this. And then you show this.
That's just me. Oh, that's cold. That is mean. That is cruel. And that plays with my emotions.
When you pointed me for, I didn't do it. I'm pointing in the general direction.
Wanting right at me with eight his eyes. That's not nice. I didn't do this. Yeah.
Like you can see dream matches like Undertaker's thing. I'm like, I'm a, I'm a fine, all three
y'all. I'm a fine everyone he is. Do you know what I'm talking about? We know he's getting paid.
Why does it have to be a dream match? It should be the general reply. Welcome to my world.
All right. Okay. Question for the people that watch the Macdown. If they just like the video tape
of a 2K 15 wrestling match and air did live, what do you want to know the difference?
Yeah, because I might be a little faster. Oh, okay. Tell me I'm lying. You speak the truth.
Tell me I'm lying. It doesn't mean I still don't want to see it. You have time for a
division just saying. I'm going to get there. I'm going to get there people. I'm going to get there.
So I'm going to tell you something. I'm at the point now that this, if this doesn't happen,
I might take somebody out. I'm just saying.
Pretty soon we're going to have an H in the rock playing each other on 2K 15. Be a satellite.
That's going to be airtime live. Be a satellite. Oh, I think I just lost my computer part again. Good
I've really got to learn how to use a computer. I think I would know. You always hear the
Clubhouse podcast. We are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment. Let's move on
and do some movie talk. Well, is box office numbers for courtesy of our friends at box office
mojo.com. Dropping out of the top 10 this week, John Wick $2.3 million for a four week total of
about right at $40 million on a $20 million budget Alexander and the terrible horrible
no good very bad day. $1.6 million make $62 million on a $28 million budget. So congratulations to them.
Not bad. And the book of life has made just under its budget. It's made $47.4 million on a
$15 million dollar budget. So can you call that a wash? Now I want to hit this blue rail. It'll make
sure because I'll definitely be seeing it. Coming in up from 11 to 10 this week is the new
Michael Keaton vehicle Birdman, which I'm very intrigued by. Big time intrigued by that. $2.5 million
for a five week total of $11.6 million. It gained almost 400 screens this week. And that's an
18 million dollar budget. I've heard it already working on a sequel. Really? Weja drops from four to nine
this week with $3 million for a week total of $48.1 million on a $5 million budget.
Dropping from seven to eight this week night crawler. Want to know what we thought? Subscribe
on iTunes. $3 million for a three week total of $25 million dollars even $8.5 million
dollar budget. So good for them. Fury drops from five to seven three point eight million dollars
for a five week total of just under $76 million dollars on a $68 million dollar budget.
Everybody's making money. Are good things about that one too. Don Teddy enjoyed it very much.
Yeah. I'll say Vincent holds steady at six four million dollars making a total of 33
points three million dollars. Don't have a budget on that yet still. Gone girl drops from the
bronze medal to fifth place four point six two five million dollars seven weeks 61 million dollar
budget has made $152.7 million dollars. Nice. Day viewing at number four is beyond the
lights six point five million dollars do not have a budget on it. In her stellar drops from
two to three this week 97.8 million dollars after it makes to a 29.2 million this week
165 million dollar budget. I've heard nothing but good things but man that thing's got a ways to go.
Dropping from the gold to silver this week is big hero six another 36 million dollars
two week total of 111.7 million dollars also a one hundred and sixty five million dollar budget.
And day viewing in the gold medal this weekend. Dumb and number two 38 point one million dollars
do not have a budget on it yet. I want to see it boy it's getting killed. Yeah it's not going
to make it's budget if it's anything over 50 million dollars. I just twenty seven percent
of rotten tomatoes last time I checked. It wasn't that funny there were parts that made it.
Oh so you've seen it? Yeah but I saw it for $4.10 so I can't complete too much. By the way
NFL update new England up seven nothing about halfway through the first quarter. Interesting little
tidbit coming from the set of Batman v Superman. Not really a spoiler so we don't have to put a
spoiler alert on it. It is being filmed with iMac's cameras. Of course.
So are they going to say this is the only way you should be with to get the full experience.
I don't know. Well I mean man is still with 3D and dark night had segments that were iMac's.
I can't remember was dark night rises. Same it was seconds. So and apparently you are getting
the origin sequence. The origin of Batman. Okay they filmed that apparently this past week.
How is it episode seven has finished printable photography and there's still film and this thing?
It didn't they start before? Yeah that's all of that's post-production.
All of episodes that was just going to take forever and post-production.
You also have a villain cast for Captain America Civil War. You might know him more than I
would. His name is Daniel Brull. He was in Russia. He was in the fifth state. He was in glorious
bastards. That's the only one of those I've seen. Okay but he's going to play a villain yet unnamed
in Civil War. So I don't know who he's playing. Also we've got some and possibly his
they're saying that his character may be a tie into Doctor Strange. Okay so there's that.
Also we've got some suicide squad casting news. Margo Robbie who you know from the
role of Wall Street. How you doing? She's in talks to play Harley Quinn. Yeah suicide's a lot.
Which is an unkind of unborn with that. Also a Jai Courtney who you might remember as Bruce Willis's
kid from live for your die hard at big time from Spartacus and in talks for Deadshot.
Tom Hardy. You know I'm a big Tom Hardy fan to play Red Flag. So he's going to go from
main to Red Flag. And Will Smith for Captain Boomerang. That's pretty big step down for Will Smith.
Wait a minute. Well it's because his wife is one of these. Oh no. Leave it alone. Leave it alone.
Captain Boomerang. An Australian guy that I've only seen portrayed as a white dude.
Well remember you want to play Captain America too?
If you are a fan of the Hobbit as I know you are. Absolutely.
December 15th the IMAX will be doing a Hobbit marathon. Oh god.
In the IMAX bring a colossal me back. Also coming up here locally at the Alamo at the
leave this week. They will be doing with a feast. The back to the future trilogy.
What's the feast going to be? They haven't said. It's like 50 bucks ahead and you get all three
movies in the feast. I'm really not curious what the food is. That's some high Pepsi. Have they found
Pepsi free? Oh you can eat hot dogs. Mark Bowles who helped write zero dark 30. He will be writing
the uncharted film. How do you feel about that sir? Zero dark 30 was a solid film. I thought it was
okay. I didn't think it was great. It's just difficult to watch. It's not a movie you enjoy. It's a
movie you just have to survive it. It absolutely crawls. Also universal announcing this week.
There will be three more fast and furious films. What? There's going to be three more. We're going
to get the double digits with the franchise. I don't think these will be able to speak in three
films. I just saw the previous for this last one and I wanted to shoot someone. I stopped after
Tokyo drift. So I stopped halfway through Tokyo drift. I'll put it to you that way. He's taking
it. I'll get that for. I'll get that for. I'll get that for. I'll get that for. I'll get that for. I'll get
so. Coach might be Harrison some other than you might be interested. Director Michelle McClaren
she's directed some walking dead episodes as well as some Game of Thrones episodes as
I'm breaking bad episodes. She is in talks to direct Wonder Woman. Interesting. Thought she'd be
interested in that. And the rumors are going to set it in the 20s. It's in the 20s. That's what I'm hearing.
I don't know. She's a mortal. So it's before you know. Yeah, it's a question. It's all kind of
went down during World War Two. I thought so. Well, maybe they're going to do the beginning of it
and then lead up to it. Also, interesting talks this week that are now dead, but DreamWorks and
Hasbro were almost set to merge this week. Why? That was just the talks. Well, film properties
would be good for them. And your next bond villain has been announced. Are you on the run sheets?
No, Chris stuff. Whoa. Oh, good. Yes. It's your next bond villain. I got to not be more in.
And the Tista being one of his henchmen. Do your God in heaven. This is happy. Wow.
Yeah, this is happening. When I heard this Thursday night on the way to bowling, I was I couldn't be more
happier. We have some breaking NFL news from friend of the show Stephen Zimmerman. NFL is trying
to flex the Denver Miami game to prime time. Really? Mm-hmm. Wait, when does he says he doesn't know
how, but it's in discussion right now. When is this game being actually week on a Monday or when
it's the Sunday Sunday early game? Oh, maybe the Sunday late game. But no, Miami's at Denver next week.
It's good to see. It's good to see my dolphins and in flex discussions. But Chris,
stop vaults your next bond villain. Oh, dear God. Movie new releases in places you see movie new releases
this week. The Hunger Games mocking Jay part one. And we really aren't going to be playing
this song much after this week because it's already been done. So we can't give you more casting news.
Right. So trying to coordinate with Charleston, she and I can go together. And she has said
publicly that if this thing ends where she thinks it's going to end, instead of part two,
there's going to be a lot of people all kind of mad. Awesome. That's how they should end it then.
So that's happening. This coming weekend. And as we talked about the show last week, when tickets
went on sale, it set the single day opening day ticket record for 2014. And it was 80% of
Fandango sales that day. Good. Wow. So if you don't have a ticket, you might not have one for the first
week or two. Also, the imitation game. This is the new movie with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Basically takes place during World War II, where they're trying to, uh,
they get a hold of a German cipher machine. And he's got to figure it out. And another VHS film
called VHS viral chat. What is this? The third one. The third one. Okay. It's a horror anthology.
Saw the first one liked it a lot. But they're doing another one comes out this week.
I haven't got around to see in the second one yet. So I didn't even know they were doing it.
Oh, don't say something interesting. If they moved the mindy game to the night game,
and Jerry would have to give up the Sunday night game. He doesn't think Jerry would let that happen.
But the chance, it's going to be a slaughter.
How you never know, it depends on the giant scene that shows up. That's fair point. And they're at home.
Because I think they have Rashad Jennings back. So DVD and Blu-ray new releases this week.
Sin City had deemed a kill for. Why don't we thought of it? Subscribe about iTunes.
And, uh, Twister 2.0, or also known as Into the Storm. Available on DVD and Blu-ray.
That bad. Really? Yeah. There's a lot better. And some people have been involved in that film. I had no idea.
Oh, okay. Like Richard Arbitage Thorin, the main, the main dwarf from the Hobbit is interesting. Okay.
Oh. Uh, 22 Jump Street. Sounds out. Guns out. Haven't seen it in some of my list.
Not bad. Uh, if I stay, probably shouldn't have said that to me. Sure.
And so it goes with Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. Very enjoyable.
Kind of a cute little older people romantic comedy.
Worth checking out if you got a couple hours in despair. Uh, the, it happened one night.
It gets the criterion collection treatment. Kind of wonder what took so long on that one. No kidding.
And also macho man, the Randy Savage story.
Something we never thought we would live to see. I just get him in the Hall of Fame, please.
So I'm saying one quick thing for text slash heat corner, which I thought you would be interested in.
Just this past week or maybe it's this week. Vertigo comics is releasing a Django Zoro crossover.
Ha, ha. I saw the cover as in Django and change and Zoro.
That could be interesting. Yeah. Yeah. The cover is then back to back where Django's got the, the sword and,
or you got the gun and Zoro's got the sword. They're, they're back to back. Like it's a duel.
I am so in on this. I thought you didn't enjoy that. Yeah. All right, gentlemen. Street lights on. Let's get to it.
We end every show with a list. Tonight is no exception. It's my turn. And
we are currently living at a time where we have a lot of comic books that are being made into movies.
So I thought it sat down the other day and I thought to myself,
what are my 10 favorite comic book stories ever?
Some can be single stories. I could be multi issue arcs by the way,
feel goal indie. It's now 7 3 new England. 4 19 of the first quarter.
So let's do by 10 favorite comic book stories. It's not a good. Number 10 from the 90s
was an X-Men crossover story called executioner song. That very heavily with cable.
It was a great series. And since it was a crossover of it, it went through every X book.
And every issue, if you got it in the in the bags, came with like a Marvel trading card for
one of the characters. And it was like 12 or 15 issues. I've got two copies of all of them.
Let's say I'm at sale. There's a roof on that thing.
Number 9, the long Halloween. Absolutely. A year long Batman story.
Um, dealt with the calendar man. A very cool ending to that. Yeah. Great trade, trade for back. Yes,
I've got it. So over there on the shelf now disappeared on me for a while. But I found it.
Really ever had to buy another one. I can't remember. Jeff Loeb and Tim Sale at the peak of their
power. Absolutely great Batman story. And it's called the long Halloween because it deals with
every holiday through a year leading up to Halloween. It's very, very cool. Number 8, the original
THB in digital storyline. From THB, it's like one through seven, I think.
Where you really got the origin and everything with the shredder storyline.
I've got the fourth printing of number one, which is still worth a couple hundred bucks.
If the original Eastman and Rireard saw that reboot by the way recently. What do you think?
Like it. I've heard good things. I didn't think I was going to. I was prepared to hate it.
But actually really like go back and really truly read the original on the changing
into turtle stuff because it's so good. Pretty dark from what I guess. Absolutely. And they're
not color coded. Right. You just have to know them by the weapons, which is the way it should be.
Speaking of which, this past week got to talk to friend of the show, Brent Peoples. He called me
the other night. We talked for about a half an hour. There is some great that's there.
Kids do them well. We talked a lot about his work on the Teenaging Ninja Turtles Ghostbusters
crossover that he worked on. He's awesome. He's got something else coming up. That's a very,
very cool that we can't talk about public. I don't think he can announce it yet. But he's doing
some great, great things. I'm very excited for him. Number seven. Call me. You can call me out on
this. It's fine. Batman the widening gyre. I've never read that one. I've got to cough any, but
I don't have white gyre. The widening gyre was the first one. I got to cough. The third one. The
third one will release next year wrapping up the trilogy. Kevin Smith and Walt Flamagan. A trilogy
that started what seven years ago. Kevin Smith. So a great storyline dealing with a villain
called Anamata Pia and the second part of that ends really cool. Go check it out. A widening gyre
and cacophony are the first two chapters. Number six. Pretty much the first two or three arcs for a
series called Why The Last Man. Never read this. Which basically what happens is
everybody wakes up one day and all the men in the complainer gone except this one guy. His
name is Yorik. And he has a monkey. So you know I'm in. And he gets in with this group of women who
who basically try to protect him because every woman on the planet wants him dead pretty much.
Because they just want women to rule the world. It's a really, really cool series. And they have
talked about adapting that thing. How many times now? They do a film. Why do a few times? If you
watch Chuck, there's a why the last man poster in Chuck's room. Oh, that's right. There is. Yeah. Wow.
Great series. You don't want to check that out because I know you're going through fables right now.
Yeah. But check that out. I'm so in love with that series. Number five. Going old school secret war.
The original. Which I don't know why we're rebooting that but be careful Marvel.
But yeah, love the original secret war. So we've got the original symbiots suit that be on
during Spider-Man game. Number three. You can get him come. No, that's you skipped number four.
Number four Batman year one. Sorry. Probably of the animated features that I've seen them do
year ones the pre much the closest one to the book. Yeah. And if you've seen Batman
begin, that's a necklace. And who has it? Watch it. It's amazing. Yeah. Batman begins is so closely
with the year one. Well, that was originally what it was supposed to be when Aaron
is not doing it. Yeah. Yeah. But year one is great. It deals with Bruce. Of course, of course,
year one. He's just come back from from overseas and he's really starting to learn. They did a year
two and year two was okay. Year two was pretty much the basis for a mask of the fantasm.
But year one was just amazing. Number three. Kingdom come. Yes. Not not the sequel. The Trinity was
terrible. But Kingdom come basically. The entire thing was done by our work with them by Alex
Ross. And you know that I'm a market friend. I'm a total Alex Ross mark. Basically the storyline is
there's a new generation of heroes that have basically they're just wreaking havoc all over the world
fight each other. And the older heroes have to come out of retirement to put them down. Yeah.
All the younger heroes are like spoiled petulant children. Uh, and it's, let me Superman's gray
hair. Yeah. Bruce is just in, you know, in one of my favorite lines in a comic book from that.
The first one is Bruce is trying to talk to Clark and Clark's not understand what he's saying.
Bruce just turns around and looks at him and goes, you know, for a guy that can hear clouds rub
together, you don't listen real well. And there's another line at the end that I don't want to
spoil it, but it comes from the end of the book that's really, really funny. Number two.
And a lot of people are surprised. This is at number one. The Infinity Gauntlet. I'm not surprised
what number one. What that is not there one. Because I know it never one better be. This is one of
the most amazing stories ever written in the history of ever. Go check it out.
Before the movie comes out in three years, four years, three and a half years.
We're getting a little bit out of the next year, right? New. In, Infinity War part one is
2022's 2018. And I don't know why they're calling it the Infinity War because that's the second one,
which isn't nearly as good as Infinity Gauntlet. But you might get right things referencing to it.
When I really hope they do and marvel if you're listening, please do this and I won't even ask
for credit. Do an animated version of, sorry, I didn't do that. Do an animated version of the
Thanos Quest. Pretty just got picked by the way on the goal line. Do an animated Thanos Quest. That
way you can truly lead up to the Infinity Gauntlet and people can truly understand what's going on there.
So you can figure out how he got all the gems because it's a great series.
I just don't think that to do a movie of it, I don't know if it's going to work well.
But number one, take a hundred geeks, put it in a room. At least 90 of them are going to say the
Dark Knight Returns. I'm so surprised that the Zimmer music isn't playing right now. It's actually
cute up after this if I'd run out of time. I'm so ready. Is it next Christmas or Christmas? No,
it's year after next. It pushed back to 2016. What for Batman D Superman? It's not a Christmas
release. That's a summer release. May of 2016. Yeah. I don't want to compete with Ultron. I want it
to be then now. Because they'll be competing with Dr. Strange. Yeah, I don't think they're too
concerned. Yeah. At one point, it was the same day as Captain America Civil War. Yeah, it was.
And the fact that they backed down. Because they had the date first. Yeah, I did find that kind of
surprising. But there's nothing that's no news that's come out of this thing that hasn't
kept me jazzed for that. If you haven't read the Dark Knight Returns, one of two things he's to
happen. Go get a copy of it. I don't care if it's digitally or hard copy. Or just
brand yourself a communist. One of the two. I don't care. Pick one. We're good. Perfect.
Comic book writing. Everything about that thing works. It hits you on so many levels from
so many different directions. Things happen in that book that make your jaw just completely hit the floor.
I have, I have, I've lost track how many times I've read that that trade. I've gone through
three copies of Dark Knight Returns. See, I've got the leather bound hard copy. I will never
ever get rid of that. Oh, no, no. If it disappears, I will go on a man hunt. No, it's not because
my copies are disappearing. It's because they're disintegrating because I read them so many times.
Have you ever read it, Andrew? No. Do yourself a solid. One of the best, if not the best
written. How much time do I have to read it before I'm a communist? I'll give you to the end of the
year. Okay, same here. I'll give you a great spirit. Go down. Go to half price books and get you a
weatherbeat and copy of the trade. Avoid the sequel. Yeah, Dark Knight strikes again. Leave that along.
Absolutely. Terrible. One of the biggest let down since the Matrix Revolution. But we'll go with
that's, that's a story for another day. But it will, it will absolutely blow your mind. Anything you want to
think that I would put on the list if it were mine, quickly killing joke. I would put that
top 20 maybe. Camelot 3000. See, you dug that. I really just fell in love with that series.
Basically, the Knights of the Round Table get reincarnated in the year 3000 were being
invaded by aliens led by Morgana. Oh, that's awesome. And Ryan Bowling did the work. Next to Alex
Ross, Brian Bowling is my favorite. He actually drew the killing joke as well.
Dark Phoenix saga. You know, that, that's going to be right outside my top 10. Because I just think
that the, the way they resolved that kind of ruined it for me. I did a decrease as a huge fan of
identity crisis. Civil war 52. Not to do 52, but if you say I never read Civil war, so I couldn't
put it on the list. I've got it all for you if you want to. If you have, I've been wanting to. I just,
and I was a big fan of the, of the short lived 1980s era vigilante. Oh, okay. Basically,
DC's answer to the Punisher. Yeah. But, uh, and, and maybe even death in the family, I'd have to
put in there somewhere, too, because that was such a, and obviously the death of Superman.
Again, the way they resolved that, it just took too long for me. Well, I'm not talking about just
the way it resolved. Just the death of Superman. It was just, that was like the biggest new story
that day, because it was the only thing. Oh, yeah. When it makes mainstream news everywhere,
it's, it's, it's shocking how how far reaching that event was. Do we just do we just pass the
20th anniversary of that? Isn't it 94? No number of 94? I want to say I was reading that book
right around the time making was born, and that was 93. I want to say that was like the summer of 93.
Or maybe 92. I may have still been in Virginia. I may still been in the Navy when that happened.
I looked at it real quick. Anything that you want to add, Andrew? No, because the only
common books I really read were just like X-Men and then crossovers with X-Men. I still need
to read a venture's X-Men. 1992? 92. We're into Wikipedia. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. I was still in the Navy.
I was, I was, I was, I thought that's right. I bought that comic and a comic book store in Norfolk.
