The following is a sooner orgator production.
Keep it going now.
Tell us.
Wait.
Hey y'all, I'm bringing heat.
Beast and all have topics every week.
It is 702 on the West Coast.
It is 402 on the West Coast.
It is Sunday, the 8th of June in the year of our Lord 2014.
It is season 4 episode 46 episode 22 until the conversion happens next month.
The clubhouse is live and on the air we welcome each and every one of you individually no matter how you listen.
Whether you are live with us right here on you stream, whether you are listening on our archive, or whether you subscribe on iTunes.
We don't care how you listen, we are just glad you are here.
My name is Rob and in two days I get to say happy birthday to the lovely and talented Mrs. Erwin.
So there's that.
Joining me in the studio is he tends to do from time to time.
Right across the desk is a man who now enjoys a little bit of Abba in his life.
Yes, but you still have a hard time getting me to admit that to too many people.
You've now said it on the air.
Under the battle cat has joined us.
He's not sure what's going on but he's like you do this thing and it's like going to come check it out so he's here on the fore hanging out.
Russ is in the chat room. It is so good to have you back in the chat room.
Russ just getting over some medical procedures that got him out of action there for a little while.
We missed him last week at Fox and how we're going to talk a little bit more that as the weeks come and go.
And go.
But at current time we are guestless.
We had a couple of guests booked one had to postpone the other one I have not heard from yet so we'll see maybe if we have to get show up as the show goes.
We start every show with corrections.
We actually have won this week last week as we were live from Fox and how and I was saying that battle ground was going to be the next paper view is actually going to be money in the bank.
So many of the banks have moved up to June.
Oh, that's correct yourself before we wrapped up.
I didn't it was after we went off air. Okay. Okay.
So I just thought why would you why wouldn't you do have money in the bank in July when it's by itself and that's when you've always done it.
But then again I tried to figure out what Vince is thinking.
So there's that.
How's our favorite catch phrase go?
Let's go ahead and get right into it. Let's do a little NASCAR talk.
Oh, that's the live one.
That hurt a little bit.
Today was the Pocano 400.
Oddly enough from the Pocano's motor speedway.
Here are your top 10 finitures.
Jamie McMurrey in the number one Chevrolet finishes 10th Martin Truex Jr. in the number 70 Chevrolet.
In ninth eighth place Jeff Gordon in the number 24 Chevrolet.
The number 31 Chevrolet in seventh place belongs to Ryan Hennu.
Jimmy Johnson 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times.
For income champion in the number 48 Chevrolet finishes 6th Kyle Larson.
Private I finishes in fifth in the number 42 Chevrolet.
What was that?
Kyle Larson PI.
It's like an 80's detective Fred Garvin mail prostitute Gary.
In fifth place I was fifth place fourth place goes to a man not related to the guy from LA law.
In the number 11 of Toyota the bronze medal goes to Kurt Bush in the number 41 Chevrolet.
Chad's favorite driver takes the silver medal this week.
As Brad keselowski finishes second and winning a race for the first time since the last time he won a race.
In the number 88 Chevrolet Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins at Poca now.
And there was much for Johnny said there wasn't much rejoicing I was looking at some social media and all the rejoicing that was going on.
So that's going to bring us to your current sprint cup updates.
Your odd man out in 13th right now was Brian Vickers. He's 166 out.
11 points better than him is Kevin Harvick Ryan.
In 11th place 10th place goes to the aforementioned Kyle Larson private I.
He is 81 points out, but he is one point behind Joey Lagano with team pensky.
Denny Hamlin in eighth with Joe Gibbs racing.
That's pretty much Joey Lagano drops three Denny Hamlin up one.
Dropping for this week to the seventh place slot 57 points out as Carl backflip Edwards.
Kyle Bush up one to six. Brad keselowski up three to five.
Six times six times six times six times six times six times six times.
Jimmy Johnson stays in fourth because you have a little shake up in the top three.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. with the win up two to third place in points Matt Kenseth drops from the top spot as Jeff Gordon reclaims it.
But there's only a 16 point difference between them.
Von Dongo joining us in the chat room. Good to see you brother as well.
So it's still early in the in the sprint cup. We still got about three months until the chase happens.
But but still a tight point trace if there's only you know barely a hundred points between them.
Next week is Father's Day.
We will be on the air that night for you guys if you want to kind of hang out with us.
But next week is the quick and loans 400 from the Michigan International Speedway at one o'clock Eastern on your local TNT affiliate.
So now that we're getting into the dog days of summer and ESPN going to be doing a lot of baseball.
TNT going to take over some of the they're going to have your next one two three four five next five races along the TNT.
Not back on the Espen.
Oh.
Till we go to Indianapolis major speed. Are you ready for this in sir? Okay. Sunday July 10 and July 27.
Crown roll presents your hero names your hero's name here 400 at the brick yard.
Your hero's name here. Yep.
You're kidding me, right? I'm reading it right from the website sir.
Good God.
You're listening to the clubhouse. We are live every Sunday night seven Eastern four Pacific right now. Let's get into some TV talk.
And a story that may be old, but I don't care because it's worth talking about huge loss in the world of the arts.
Between the last time that we did a regular show and now we're going to have a couple of these to court to cover our way.
Well, one is getting close maybe. We're not sure but he is improving. We'll talk about the hair in a minute.
Did you ever think of the other we wanted to talk about?
There were two.
And I couldn't remember well, depends on which one this is because I haven't looked at the run. She yet.
Margaret Annie Johnson born April 4th, 1928. Okay.
You may know her as Maya Angelou.
One of the most prolific poets of our time.
I know why the cage bird sings. I mean, do we need to go any deeper than that?
You can, but we could devote an entire show to this what this woman is contributed to society and many, many facets.
She was the first poet in 1993. She was excited her poem on the pulse of boardy get Clinton's inauguration.
It was the first time a poet made an inaugural recitation since Robert Frost in 1961.
I always got the other one.
I was trying to, because I was, I was explaining to Megan who she was because Megan had kind of forgotten who she was.
And I talked to a lot of people that are even our age that were like who?
Well, when I saw that people were confusing her with the R&B singer Maya.
I'm like, you know, really come on.
Did you punch them in the face book?
I wanted to punch them in the face book, but
Do you remember there was a, there was some kind of a campaign within the last several years or so, where it was just her doing a poem called,
she was just kept repeating that phrase over and over again.
And I couldn't remember for the life of me what it was promoting.
I don't know if it was for, um, okay.
I could, I could beat myself up just trying to figure it out.
But, um, I've been, I've actually actually did a few albums or first album was called Miss Calipso in 1957.
Just spoken words to.
No, Calipso, you tell me.
I can't imagine her singing though.
She also, uh, no, she toured with a European production of 4G Invest.
I'll be dying.
She appeared in off Broadway review that inspired the film Colipso Heat Wave,
and which she's saying and performed her own compositions.
She became close friends with Malcolm X in the early 60s.
Angelo's friend James Baldwin was instrumental in the publication of her first auto biography.
Like, by the time the 70s hit, she was already someone of note.
Uh-huh.
Uh, in late 19...
In late 2010, Angelo dated her personal papers in career memorabilia to the Schamburg Center for Research and Black Culture at Harlem.
It consisted over 340 boxes of documents that featured her handwritten notes on yellow legal pads for I know why the caged bird sings.
A 1982 telegram from Coretta Scott King, fan mail and personal and professional correspondence from colleagues, such as her editor Robert Loomis.
In 2013, she published the seventh autobiography in her series titled Mom and Me and Mom, that focuses on the relationship with her mother.
You know, one of her quotes is, I make writing as much as part of my life as eating or listening to music.
I also wear a hat or tightly pulled head tie when I write.
I suppose I hope that by doing that, I will keep my brains from seeping out of my scalp and running in great, great blobs down my neck into my ears and open my face.
I heard about this as I got to work one day.
And it just, I had gutted me. It's just one of those, what do you say? Now, you know, it's kind of, it's the kind of, I don't, I hate to say celebrity death because I never really consider her a celebrity.
She was just a person of note. She was an icon. That's a great way to put it.
Yeah, when you lose somebody with this much cultural significance that contributed as much as she did, not just to the, she did so much more for, you know, a lot of people want to consider her just a civil rights activist, like she was just a voice of the black people.
And she was, but she spoke for all people, not just not just the black people.
And one of the most prolific public speakers and poets that we've seen in the last century.
Absolutely. She will be horribly horrible.
Absolutely. I mean, there is a gaping hole in the cosmos now because she's no longer on this planet. If you don't know who she is, go do your homework.
Also passing away last Sunday, a little closer to home in San Antonio, Texas and be Davis.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Alice from the pretty bunch ran from 1969 to 1974, born May 5th, 1926,
born in Skinectady, New York. She actually had an identical twin, real Harriet, and an older brother.
When she was three, she and her family moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, graduated from strong events at high school and lady from the later from the University of Michigan.
As a pre-medical major, she changed her mind and went into drama after seeing her older brother's performance of Oh Grahoma.
Graduated in 1948 with a degree in drama and speech.
She was a musical judge on an ABC show called Duke Box Jury.
That sounds like extreme American idol.
I should have said a lot of commercials in the 60s and 70s for Ford.
She was a physical education teacher at a private girls academy in the NBC sitcom, the John Forsyth show, because you know when I think sitcom, I think John Forsyth.
Fair enough.
Wow.
She never completely retired from acting in her later years. She was a celebrity spokesperson in several shaken-baked commercials.
And appeared in several disposable mop commercials for Swifter.
On April 22, 2007, the Brady Bunch was awarded the TV Land Pop Culture Award of the Fifth Annual TV Land Award.
She and the other cast members accepted the awards and she received a standing ovation.
In 76, she moved from L.A., she solders on an L.A., moved to Denver, where she joined an Episcopal community called the Trinity School for Ministry.
Later, relocated to Ambridge in Beaver County in the Far Western Pennsylvania.
Never married nor was she publicly known to have been romantically linked to anyone.
Really?
Passed away in her home in San Antonio, Texas last Sunday.
She was one of those...
I forgot that she was in naked come 33 and a third.
Oh, she playing.
She was by herself.
It's been so long since I've seen that one.
This is my least favorite of the three.
But she was...
She was Alice in the Brady Bunch.
What else do you need to do here?
Like, she could have lived on that forever, but she still worked.
Yeah.
You know, and that's everybody remembers her for that.
She was never...
I never heard anyone say a negative word about her.
And she was probably one of the most entertaining parts of that.
She was...
She was like...
To me, she was the anchor of that show.
That was just all this chaos around her.
And she was kind of like the constant voice of reason.
Especially in a family where the husband was an architect and designed the house they lived in
and you couldn't make enough bedrooms for everybody.
She was like...
How come we can't have one of these?
Yeah.
We're going to keep going in this motif.
And we're going to...
You know, I'm looking back on people that we've lost this year.
I don't remember covering Ephraim Zimbalis Junior.
I didn't realize that we had lost him.
It was a little while ago, but I made this mention.
I thought we mentioned it.
I thought we mentioned it.
I thought we were on a hiatus.
I said, we would have made a much bigger deal about the voice of Alfred for Batman.
Anyway.
And he also says, and she didn't cook in real life.
She did.
Like...
Wow, irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.
We're going to keep in the Amy Grant motif here for just a minute.
Yesterday, I met the gym yesterday morning.
And we have really talked about that on the show that I've...
40s kind of settling itself in as I'm getting ready to turn 41.
But I joined the gym a little over a month ago.
I'm trying to work out about six days a week.
I haven't had...
Been over a month now since I've had a soda or caffeine.
Good.
But I was at the gym yesterday morning on the treadmill.
And I saw a headline on CNN.
Tracy Morgan.
Many of you know him as the guy that always says,
So I'm going to get pregnant from 30 rock SNL.
His stand-up is erratic.
That's probably the way to describe him.
Putting it lightly.
He showed up at the Eddie Murphy tribute with an oat...
Basically wearing the outfit he wore in Deliria.
Yes.
With no shirt underneath it.
Looking quite...
He was running.
He was in a limo bus in New Jersey.
And there was a truck driver who wasn't paying attention to the slowing traffic
and caused a six car pile-up that killed one of his writers.
He is currently in critical condition.
Chad has the list of injuries.
So we're going to sit at live to him.
I don't have an in front of me.
Oh, I thought you had it written.
I want to say the guy that was killed.
I want to say his name is Jimmy Mack.
I believe you're right.
And apparently he's been in the game for quite a while.
And he helped Tracy Morgan get his start.
He was a lot more than just his comedy writer.
He was also his mentor.
But they do say his condition is improving.
He's a laundry list of broken bones.
But he's still an intensive care.
But he is becoming more responsive.
I think they said he's broken three of his ribs.
His humorous.
His nose.
I mean, I looked at every one of these bones.
I was going to cut Lord.
The man's extremely lucky to still be alive at all.
We want to send our thoughts and prayers out to him and everyone involved in it.
You hate to ever hear like this happen to anybody.
I mean, I was not a fan of this guy personally, but I never.
I never want to see anything like this happen to somebody.
It's just horrible.
He's already gone through one surgery.
And apparently the driver of the bus was driving it for Walmart.
So the bus or one of the truck that ran into bus.
The truck.
I got my words because there were two trucks involved.
Well, just where they're not.
Not that I'm aware of.
I thought we.
One of the things that I know what there were two trucks involved.
I talked about this with friend of the show, Phil Mar, who works for the Walmart Corporation.
They have not said if the Walmart driver was the one responsible.
As of last night, I haven't heard anything today.
I believe he is.
But my thought process was had it been Walmart that would have come out a lot sooner.
But I could be wrong.
Well, Walmart's already released a statement.
They've said that if we if our people were involved were on top.
Kevin Roper, the 35-year-old Georgia truck driver charge in the Saturday morning New Jersey turn by accident
that critically injured Tracy Morgan and killed James McNair was driving for Walmart.
The corporate president in Seattle has released a statement.
We just want to send our thoughts and prayers out to everybody and just.
I mean, I saw this and just my eyes just flew out of my head.
Yes.
We hope everybody's okay.
Now on to news.
Congratulations to Game of Thrones.
Oh, you're lovely wife.
Who's a pretty sad sentence in the chat room.
Hello.
As well as your daughter, but they're sharing a login and rules.
Game of Thrones has now officially passed the sopranos as the most watched show in HBO.
It's street.
Wow.
I didn't think that would happen.
I really didn't.
Well, as much as we love this show, you know.
The sopranos kind of revolutionized the way people watch cable.
You know, HBO has always been very good at the pay cable series.
You know, going all the way back to first and 10 shows like Arlis shows like on to Raj.
And I never watched Arlis.
I loved Arlis.
Such a great.
And I can't believe I didn't because it seemed like it would have been right in my wheelhouse.
Arlis is one of those shows that you could see if there was no Arlis you wouldn't have on to Raj.
Because it's the same kind of vein where one's a sports agent.
The other ones that you know deals with actors.
But it's the same kind of deal where they were actually real athletes playing themselves on the show.
And it was some of the things that they'd work at Sandra O.
Always great.
She was in that show playing his assistant.
And his name is Arlis Michaels.
And there was one episode.
And I know why it took them so long to do this.
But she came in and said, hey, your cousins on the phone.
It's like, I don't want to talk to him.
She's like, no, no.
I was on the phone.
You need to talk to him.
His cousin Al Michaels.
Oh.
It's greatness.
But game of thrones.
And George R. Martin has said this.
You're not going to be able to tell the whole story in seven seasons.
I'm just saying it now.
The books probably won't cut it either.
So our grandkids.
Well, I know he's already committed to eight books total now.
He's committed to that.
Yes.
And they've got at least they've got a two season renewal out of HBL.
But HBL has a committed to eight seasons.
Right.
We can keep our fingers crossed.
Because the material is going to be there for it to be.
So with any luck by the time we go on the air next week, we'll be caught up.
Because we've got last week's episode.
We still have to watch.
Right.
So there's that.
So I heard this story the other day.
And I went.
Lifetime has greenlit a reality show.
That's called born in the wild.
And it's exactly what you think it is.
Oh, no.
Absolutely.
No, this is true, sir.
No.
There's a lady that's going to give birth in a jungle.
And what ensues after the birth of the child.
I don't even want to think about this.
That's.
No.
If I have ever wanted to schedule an intimate meeting between a lifetime executive and a steel chair.
This is it.
Why?
What do you want to do?
I heard this and I was like, no.
And then I went, it was on Yahoo's front page.
And I was like, are you kidding me?
You know, I know they say that, you know, Hollywood doesn't have any more original ideas.
But that might be a good thing.
Because this is what happens when they start thinking too much.
No.
It was gross enough.
I had to watch the slow motion footage on ESPN of of joke of it.
Throwing up a little bit during the French Open.
Yeah, it's not that.
But this, this is worse.
I mean, it's bad enough dealing with John and Kate plus eight.
But then we got some.
And the dugers.
And we don't even get me started.
Get me started.
Apparently they're having another one.
No.
That's the rumor now.
You don't want to pull the pin on that grenade with me.
But do we really, who the heck wants to watch this?
Everything's got an audience, sir.
Have you looked at the internet in the last 10 years?
I think I'm looking at it right now.
I'm just saying everything has an audience.
Everything gross.

Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest because we are more obligated to say that.
She's a little under the weather tonight.
So we want to send her our best wishes to her.
Miss that girl.
And Jules Wormick is showing in the green room.
Doing her Jules Wormickness.
I don't even know what that means.
That's.
I don't even sound right.
Well, you're married to her.
I don't know.
Do her Jules Wormickness.
I don't know.
I like to invent words.
Let's go to PLA.
PLI stands for a person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show.
Or we take a person or an entity and debate their greatness or lack their oven.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
We've been doing PLI for the better part of three of the four years this show has been on this show.
And the longer this goes, the tougher it gets to do.
But I thought of this one today as I was trying to get my head right with balls.
I was waking up.
And as many of you know, I've been doing a bit of traveling over the last three or four weeks.
Oh, do we have one of the ballot cat checking in again?
I mean to parakeet that stinkin' to her.
Oh, is he fine? He's okay.
Okay, son.
He says I'm furry and I'm chilling.
Okay.
So I have been doing a lot of traveling over the last four weeks or so.
Which was why we weren't on the air Memorial Day weekend.
And we barely made it on the air for payback.
But both of these trips, I drove.
One was to the Midwest.
The other one was to the southern part of Texas.
And I'm starting to get to the point now. Like, as I was growing up, I loved to fly.
Flying was the most funnest thing ever to me.
I've only ever flown first class once and it was for a 55 minute flight.
Same here.
It was here to Memphis.
I flew from Philadelphia to Dallas.
That's longer than 45 minutes.
It was a nice flight that I'm saying.
But I didn't mind.
I loved flying.
Even Southwest Airlines with Ninja boarding.
The only bad experience I've ever had flying that I would consider I would never fly them.
I can be spirit and that's a whole different issue.
They are literally the crankshoe maker joke.
I'm just chipping for gas.
But I'm getting to the point where I'm changing my mind.
I am now to the point where I would rather road trip it than fly it.
Really?
Yep.
Because I was thinking about it.
First of all, the lovely and talented Mrs. Urbanite.
Don't get a lot of time to spend together.
This is true.
So being sequestered in a car together for 11 hours.
Let's do the math.
We spend over a week and a half, 32 hours in the car together.
Could be a recipe for disaster.
Well, when you've been married for the better part of it.
You've been together for the better part of a decade and a half.
You know, at that point, I don't know the recipe for disaster is the way to go.
But it gave us time to spend together.
Also, you know, let's just say that the trip we took to South Texas,
we got there probably in less time that it would have taken us by the time to get up,
get our stuff together, get to the airport, get through security,
get on the plane, get the plane off the ground, get the plane on the ground,
get off the plane, get our bags, find some kind of transportation and get to wherever we're going.
Probably about the same amount of time.
Plus the fact of we don't have to charge ourself baggage fees.
Yes.
You know, we can pack as much as we want or as little as we want.
You know, one thing about me and it's probably one of my videos seen for a season.
I can't sleep in quiet.
I can't do a box fan on.
And I can't take a box fan on a plane.
You know, and when you try, and when you go to a hotel,
some hotels will bring you one, but other hotels if they don't have them.
The AC in the hotel doesn't really cut it from a fan standpoint.
I'm now at the point where I would be 11 hours.
I'll drive it.
Oh God.
They don't bother me.
It was funny because we took the 22 hour round trip to the Midwest over Memorial Day.
And when we got down to South Texas to see Jen's family,
they were like, man, you guys had a long drive and we were like,
that was four hours.
Could do that in my city.
I might have done it.
This round trip is less than we did in a day.
And plus the fact of,
I'm kind of getting to the age where I'm kind of enjoying seeing America a little bit.
Because so much of it is going from the ground level.
So, I mean, sure you kind of have to time it to where you don't hit traffic
in certain cities.
But you're also not beholden to anything from the fact of,
you know, I have to be here at a certain time.
You kind of tell yourself, this is the, this is where I want to wind up.
This is the time I kind of want to get there.
But if I want to take a side trip and check out the,
the world's largest ball of twine, I can do that.
I don't know where you might have got that from.
I drove to, I drove to Vegas one time and I saw the largest,
built cross in North America.
That's in the West Texas.
Really?
Where is it?
It's just in the middle of a field somewhere.
No, it's right off the interstate.
I will tell you this.
That's a long drive.
West Texas.
No, to Vegas.
Yeah, I know I've taken it.
What?
What?
Yeah.
And I did it by myself.
I did it with Lord, which on a certain level, I was okay.
It was because I had my music and I was fine.
The other hand, I was by myself.
Yeah, you're, you're going to go a little bit
batty on that kind of a trip.
But it wasn't that bad because you know how I am.
When I'm traveling, when I'm going to schedule, I want to schedule.
When I drove to Vegas, I, it was stopped.
Your gas, peak at Fugget back in the car, go.
That was the agenda.
I mean, driving right across the border was one of the most
biggest, one of the biggest beat downs I ever went.
I'm not sure.
When we drove to war as with an old friend of ours and good.
War.
So, so what is your opinion at this point in time?
About flying versus driving?
Well, ultimately, and I'm not trying to make it,
make this sound like a cop out, but it depends on the destination.
Uh, it's not talking about international travel.
No, no, no, I'm talking about within the, within the continental,
you know, within the lower 48.
See, I'm going to the point now where I'll drive it regardless.
Like, I just, like, if I want to go to Disney World,
I'm not driving the Florida.
You're crazy?
20 hours.
Exactly.
You know, your, your average vacation time,
you're going to get to about a week.
You know, and that's, you, but you count the weekends.
Like, if it were me, like, if we decided,
we were going to go to Disney on a week long vacation.
Take off Friday night, knock out about five hours, five,
six hours, stop, sleep, get up.
I could drive 14.
Get there about eight o'clock at night on a Saturday.
Then you've got Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday.
You could leave again on Friday.
Get home Saturday night.
Have Sunday to decompress.
Go back to work on Monday.
Just, I don't know if, I don't know if Sunday would be enough to decompress.
Yeah, if that was driving.
Now the other side of that is if it's Disney.
If you're just going to Disney,
you don't need to run a car.
So you really could fly that and take the shuttle.
Yeah.
But, but, but your argument is, would you rather drive to the destination than fly?
So we're kind of shooting our own argument, the foot.
I guess part of the argument, though, is what is said intention?
Because if you're only going to be confined into an area like Disney,
and they provide the transportation there, then I get that.
Because my whole thing is when you factor in car rentals.
If I have to rent a car, I'd rather drive.
Right.
Because you're saving on the car rental.
Well, then, okay, then let's cut something like that out of the equation altogether.
Let's not even consider something like that.
Like a destination, just like a destination hotel.
Not a theme park, just a destination resort where you're getting
spot treatment, you're playing golf that kind of thing.
Okay, so let me rephrase the question then.
What is your radius?
What is your, what is my comfort zone?
What is your threshold to where you go?
I'm going to fly this versus drive it.
If it's more than a five, six hour drive, I'd probably rather fly it.
Just because of all the, all the things that can go wrong on the drive.
If you have car trouble, God forbid, you know, then your whole, then your whole plan's ranked.
So, when you get that far away from your comfort zone,
you know, there are too many, there are too many ifs.
See, I don't know that I've got a threshold anymore.
Well, that would be the reason we should have that threshold.
When we did our drive to the Midwest and back,
I was worried about the distance.
It's the longest road trip, Jen and I have ever taken together since we've been together.
Because I know you've taken, I mean, the Vegas one isn't even the longest one you've driven.
But no, I, I drove Vegas with, I'm talking about us together.
No, I'm just, I say, you as a solo, Vegas isn't even the longest one you've driven.
Is driving from Fort Lardell here?
Okay, yeah, because I drove here when I moved here in 95.
And that, we broke that up over three days, because we only did the five hours of first day,
because we stopped and saw my grandparents in Tampa,
and then we drove as far as we could the second day, which was too Lafayette, Louisiana.
Oh, so close.
Oh, but it was, it was like the better part of midnight by that point.
We'd been literally going all day.
Yeah, yeah, you kind of, you got a return then.
We got up early and we were, we were in Dallas by noon.
Yeah, oh, yeah, easy.
When you get, well, when you get out of there, like around nine o'clock.
Been so long since I did that drive.
I don't remember.
But, um, but that's the longest day, and I have ever been in that car together.
But because she's driven up to the border to Canada.
Oh, wow.
Oh, wow.
Oh, and you say, look to the border.
Yeah, wow.
Yeah, her brother, I lived up that way.
And they wouldn't, they wouldn't saw him in Michigan,
and then drove up Canada from there for a couple of days or something.
But that was the longest weed ever been in the car together.
I wouldn't mind taking the train to the, to Canada, but I don't know if I can.
You better bring your checkbox.
I know.
Can you see what train?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Sick.
Because I thought about doing that last time I went to Florida.
It was taking a train there, and then we drove back with Phil and Shannon.
It was going to be 1500 bucks one way.
One way.
One way.
And it was going to take three days.
Oh, my God.
I'm on a train, man.
I was, well, drive.
That's, that's have your vacation shot right there.
Yeah.
Kind of defeats the purpose.
But I just, I'm to the point now where I kind of rather, and plus the people you have to
fly with is become my bigger beating, because people don't understand plain etiquette.
And, you know, it's, it's kind of timely that you bring this up because, you know, I just watched my,
my second oldest niece graduate from, from high school shot out clearly today.
Congrats, girl.
And, uh, talked to my dad there.
My dad and my stepmom were actually leaving to take a massive road trip.
They're going to be going three weeks.
I mean, they're going up to, are they RV in it?
Yeah.
They remember they got a new RV.
I didn't know that.
Yeah, they don't have the pop up.
Well, they do still have the old pop up, but they've upgraded.
They've still got the old one, but they've got a new one.
Our new were one.
Uh, I mean, they're, they're hitting Rushmore.
You know, they're going up and hitting all those landmarks.
So they're going to be on the road for three weeks.
Come back right around your birthday, actually.
They're going to try to be back right around the 4th of July.
This is, uh, 24 days away.
And then they're going to be home for three weeks.
And then they're going to leave again and go out for another three weeks.
Because he works for the school district.
So he can do this.
He's got time.
Yeah.
He's, he, he may not exactly have the funds, but he's got the design.
I mean, this is something he's been wanting to do all his life.
I would love to RV, but I'd have to have somebody else drive.
I can't.
I can't do, like, a vehicle that big frightens me to drive.
Oh, no, they're, they're towing it.
I mean, he's, they've been talking about like, I would love to do like the RV bits.
Uh-huh.
Do the big RV thing.
Yeah, I just couldn't drive it.
No.
Well, just, you know, if you had like a pig tail on the back of a decent size vehicle,
and we're just towing it rather than driving a land yacht.
I mean, a literal land yacht.
Not the, well, we're always referred to as land yacht.
Right.
Um, violently concerned would be like, you know, backing into the campsite and everything.
That's the only thing that would kind of make me willing.
But as far as driving in there, no big deal.
All right.
That's a good POI.
Yeah, what?
You made that work.
You're always through the clubhouse live.
Every Sunday, night, seven Eastern for Pacific.
If you miss any part of the show, it's on archive almost immediately after we go off air.
Or you can just subscribe on iTunes because you'll get extra stuff there too.
It's pretty awesome.
Let's do the NBA talk.
The finals game two underway in 20 minutes that coverage begins on your local ABC affiliate.
San Antonio up one nothing after a 15 point victory on Thursday night.
Here's my thing.
I am not going to make excuses for my team.
I'm not going to cry conspiracy.
These things happen.
But if the AC goes out tonight, you're going to start seeing some signs.
That's all I'm saying.
You know, and can we stop with people act like LeBron is the only athlete that's ever cramped up in the middle of a game that was 95 degrees on the court ever.
I just, it drives me insane.
I just, let the guys play basketball.
You don't want to look at me for this.
I can't.
I can't stand it yet.
Why know that you're part of the anti-Libron faction and I get that.
But he plays for my team and I support my team.
But I just, and I will give credit to comedian Tim Kavanaugh for his brand new song where he said he,
and this song he said he couldn't watch this series in the kitchen.
Because of the old saying, if he can't stand the heat, he can't stand the heat.
That's funny.
Wack it.
He's smack it.
But that, I'd give him credit.
That's funny.
And he did his, he did both of his basketball songs on Bob and Tom on Friday.
The one about Detroit and the one about San Antonio.
And one thing about that, the funnier.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now you're starting to think about it.
And it's funny.
And again, if, if you're creative, I give credit.
But just to, to go out there, LeBron sucks.
Like, can you put some creativity behind it?
I will, you will never hear me say LeBron sucks.
I'm saying, you, the, the royal you.
I'm just sick and tired of people that can't be creative with their hating.
You know, and it's, I was actually talking to a guy a couple of years ago.
And it was, it's, it was a guy at the table that I didn't know.
And they had said something about beating a heat fan.
I was like, oh, so are you on the bandwagon?
Can I was like, oh boy.
I'm sorry.
You don't know me, and you're asking me this question.
I've been down since day one home.
We're, so you might want to figure some things out.
Because my fandom runs deep.
When you have my fan loyalty, I will stand by you.
Now, I fully admit that I became a Cowboys fan when Emmett went there.
And I stopped cheering for him when they got T.L.
Because I won't share a picture of T.L.
I want to.
You know, when it's the other thing I can't.
Well, I won't share for a team that has kidnapped on it.
And now I just can't stand Jerry.
But tonight you're at my mom was that before she figured she couldn't stand Jerry.
But I think this is going to be a competitive series.
I think that had LeBron not had the cramping problems.
I don't, I don't know that the heat would have won, but it wouldn't have been by that big of a margin.
Because they showed it with him on the court.
The game was tied without him on the court.
They were minus 15.
Wow.
So yeah, game two starts up tonight.
They're doing their best not to interfere with the Stanley Cup finals, which I respect.
But it's just drawing this thing out that much longer.
And you know what, Russ says he wants the series to go 7 because 7 is on his birthday.
So good lord.
I don't know if your heart can take that.
I'm doing, I'm doing okay.
I'm not, I'm, I'm trying not to watch the game.
I'm kind of monitoring it at a far.
Just to keep my blood pressure low.
Because you know how I tend to get when I'm watching my teams play.
With my dolphins, I'm just kind of used to losing.
So it's okay.
But there is that.
We are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment right here on the clubhouse podcast.
Let's move on and do a little bit of music talk.
Change it up a little bit.
Well, that's a good song for again.
So much has happened since the last time we had a studio show.
It feels like it's been ages.
It's been three weeks.
I mean, the last, it was the week before Memorial Day was the last time we did a studio show.
Because we were off a Memorial Day and then we were Fox and Hounds.
It's been three weeks.
Casey Kasem's health is declining.
The family has been gathered.
This is another one of those examples of realizing my own sense of my, my more
And I am of the firm opinion that I think by the time we go on the air next week,
we will be biocondios.
Because when I hear the phrase, the family has been gathered, that's never good.
No.
And the things that this man,
not necessarily that he's been through,
but the situations that he's been placed in and I thank God every day that he's probably oblivious to what's going on around him.
I hope he is because there's so much fighting going on between his current wife and his children.
They thought he disappeared.
He was on an Indian reservation.
The theory was she had put him there so that they couldn't get to him because the Indians have their own laws on their land.
This is not a fitting end for a man of this caliber.
No, it's really not.
A man has brought so much joy to so many people.
And from what I've read and please correct me if I'm wrong here,
it's not like the kids are just clamoring for the money.
They just want to have their dad around.
So this is literally just, I mean, this is Gene we're talking about.
As far as I know, yes.
This is just Gene just being a psycho.
I don't know.
She just is paranoid that she thinks they're after the money and that she's entitled to it all.
I don't have all the details on this because she is not his first life.
Right?
To my knowledge, no.
Those kids are not hers.
As far as I know, they are not.
Because I will always have the most fond memories of this guy.
I don't really want to go into this until we have to.
But I just really, really hope that he really doesn't know what's going on around him.
It would just not.
It would not be good for him.
It's not fair.
I agree.
Agreed.
We go from a man whose family is gathered to a man whose fan base gathered last night.
Last night, the cowboy wrote away.
George Strait.
Final planned show of his career.
I talked to former co-host of the show Cody Hawkins recently and we talked about this.
Did he go?
He did not.
Really?
He did not.
He sees us.
I've seen him so many times.
Yeah.
Let's talk about that for a minute.
The average ticket price was 500 bucks per person.
If you want a standing room only, that was $200.
If you wanted stub hub per bird parking, it was $135.
For parking, for preferred parking, through stub hub, it was $135.
Give me a break.
Russ says there were 104,397 people there.
Good night.
I had heard just under 505,000.
So that's right.
But, and also, it's at AT&T stadium where the acoustics are terrible.
But I was talking to the other night and he was saying,
I said, do you really think this is it for him?
He goes from the standpoint of touring I do.
But I think he'll show up.
He'll do the Houston rodeo every once and again.
He'll do one off every once in a while.
But nothing on an organized basis.
The thing about this tour was he got to play in a lot of places that he
doesn't get to play to you very often.
He played Madison Square Garden.
He played in Chicago.
He played LA.
He played Miami on this tour.
And I said, I bet every dog on one of them was sold out to the
raffers because you better believe it was.
Could you see him maybe at some point doing a residency?
No.
Because I just don't see Mr. Straight.
I can't call him George.
Because this guy is such ace.
A for lack of a better term musical God status.
More number ones than anybody in the history of ever.
Look it up.
Really?
Look it up on any.
Look it up.
Geez.
That's unbelievable.
He's always been a real low key kind of a guy.
He's not the guy that comes out and says, hey,
Dallas, how y'all doing?
We're going to do a song off my fourth tower.
He comes out.
He plays the hits.
Goes.
See you next trip.
He is one of the ultimate showmen without being a showman.
He comes out and he plays the jams and people love it.
I mean, he's, he's amazing.
And you know I'm not a country guy.
But this guy carries his carried my respect about as long as I've known who he was.
But it was a big deal last night.
Oh, I don't doubt it.
So if you got to go, there's that Russell 60 number ones.
60 zero sir.
That's how you remember he did two different albums called the number ones.
And there was no duplication on him.
Geez.
And both of them were two disc sets.
God.
And so congratulations sir on an amazing career.
You will never hear a bad thing come out of this guy's mouth about you.
And he went out just like I thought he would at that stadium and always in Texas.
And it's in Arlington, TNA not Dallas.
Let's talk about music new releases.
And I'm music new release place near you on Tuesday.
This young lady.
He'll hear a voice here in a minute.
She's got one of those voices that you know exactly who it is when she starts singing.
Chrissy Hyde from the Pretenders.
I have to say.
Brand new album herself this week called Stockholm.
I'm a fan of the Chrissy Hyde. She has one of those.
She has one of those voices that she's got rock chick Chrissy Hyde and she's got this.
And it's.
It's the same voice but it works both ways.
She's it's very dirty and gritty but it's got a lot of quality to the town.
Yeah.
Big Pretenders fan quite enjoy their final work.
I see him.
One of my sister was in a cover band.
She sang a lot of stuff by Chrissy Hyde because she has a thing kind of local.
Although not a big fan of brass and pocket.
I feel pressing.
And that's that was like almost to.
Always hurt go to.
Then a lot of the road.
Great song.
Love me some middle of the road.
Love me some back on the chain gang.
Love me some outstanding by you.
Yeah.
That's probably my favorite of hers.
Also Jerry got the attendance word.
A word.
A record broken.
Did you really?
So it didn't take a WrestleMania to do it.
I was all probably going again.
Vince wants it.
Also a brand new album from this guy.
This is the only song I could find by him that was clean.
I everything I had.
Wait, what?
What?
You didn't know he did this?
Who is this?
You know that voice?
Oh, this is iced tea.
Do you remember WWF aggression?
Really had all hip hop artists.
I've got it.
I think only one song actually made it to the show.
And it was de-exes the T-generation act.
If I'd run DMC, they played one time.
But this is the only thing I can play without, you know.
It sounds like more scoded.
One particular point.
But iced tea releases man slaughtered this week again.
But see, to me, and here's a difference between iced tea and iced cube.
To me, iced tea has a lot of street cred.
Yeah.
But I don't know that I need another album from him.
You know what I mean?
Like, I'll always have nothing but respect for iced tea.
I've always loved him.
I always will.
I think his lady friends a little crazy.
But huge fan of this guy.
Three words.
New Jack City.
That's all I'm saying.
Yeah.
So...
Colors.
Oh god.
Also a band with the clothes in the hair for the kids of the clothes in the hair.
Image and heap releases sparks.
And what half of this band with a brand new album?
It's one of Cody's favorite songs right here.
Yeah, he'll be coming up later.
People?
In the list.
Oh, oh, okay.
I'm just like, oh, oh, oh.
I know what you're doing now.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
I'm going down with you now.
Copy.
Let's see what you've got.
Maybe you can like book on the fly.
Do you see that one?
I don't.
They're several of them on there.
Okay.
Let's see.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
I don't know if I have that version though.
Five.
Six.
Seven.
Seven.
Ten.
I don't have number one.
That's fine.
That's probably the least.
But Jack White releases Lazareto this week.
And another group for the kids at the close of the hair.
Oh, AR.
Reases the Rockville LP.
Or.
It's not.
Oh, AR.
It's initial.
I don't know.
Or Castro and Archie and Russia.
I don't know.
It's like, oh, MD or Castro maneuvers in the dark.
Yeah.
That's what I was going for.
Next paper view is going to be June the 29th from Money in the Bank.
One of two things is going to happen.
First of all, we want to thank Fox and Hound.
We had some technical difficulties last week, but it was nothing that I blamed them for.
You really couldn't.
There is a possibility we may or may not be doing a money in the bank there.
They may be skipping money in the bank to work out some technical issues.
They have told us we want to carry these.
We just want to make sure we can give it to you in the best quality presentation.
There will either be their live or will be here live doing where the pre-show is going to happen regardless.
We'll be someplace live.
Right.
So we're not just that Dutch are where yet.
So just be aware of that.
And we'll keep you posted on that as the weeks come and go.
So let's talk a little hockey.
Because the Stanley Cup finals are on.
Last night they went 155 minutes before LA went up to nothing in the series.
Rangers went up early.
And LA had to battle back to win the thing.
I got to watch about.
I watched about two and a half periods of the game.
I watched a pretty good chunk of it.
And the girls just said can we please.
And two knows that NBC with the presentation.
NBC is doing a really, really good job with this.
Yeah, they really are very impressed.
I never thought I'd see the day when I think Eddie all check would be a great commentator.
But guys do it well.
So first time that LA and New York have faced each other in a major sports final.
Since 1983 when the Dodgers and the Yankees played each other.
That's hard to believe.
And you can understand why the ratings were really good in game one.
I haven't seen ratings for game two.
But they have the two biggest markets in the country.
So there you go.
There's that.
Uh, Russ says LA R stands for of a revolution.
Ah, okay.
Russ is kind of honing in on fondongo territory tonight.
What's he doing?
He's giving us this stuff we need.
I don't know, Don's been kind of quiet in the chat room.
I don't know what's going on there.
But again, you really need to subscribe on iTunes.
It's all I'm saying.
You will not believe your ears.
By the way, we've got a couple more special additions coming this week.
A Dom, we're going to need to reschedule when we do those.
Because I forgot.
We had talked about doing them Tuesday.
And that being the birthday of the lovely and talented misses.
Oh, yeah.
Probably a bad idea.
So man, I'm not going to see you most of the week.
Uh, you're not coming to my name?
Don't, I thought you have a screening number.
Why don't you come in?
To the screening?
No.
I didn't know what it was.
I didn't know about the one last week either.
You're all right.
You should have a email for the one of them right now.
But to set me up finals game three,
I believe it's tomorrow night.
Because either way, the NBA, they're a tribal day because they'll be going to Miami for games three and four.
So, uh, Wednesday, maybe I'll have to look at the counter done.
Let us combine sports and entertainment right now as we get into a little bit of wrestling talk.
I've right here on the clubhouse podcast.
Our best wishes go out to Jim Ross.
He was in Vegas for the annual cauliflower alley event.
Came back from Vegas.
And one feeling real swift.
And so at the insistence of the lovely and talented Mrs. Ross.
Got told.
You're going.
Yeah. And so I came to the hospital and he was treated for stroke like symptoms.
Came home today.
Good.
So JR says I'm okay.
Little shaken up.
But I'm good.
Uh, so we want to say we're very, very happy that JR is is home and healthy.
Uh, one of the greatest commentators in the history of the game.
Indeed.
Uh, very excited.
I wish I could have watched the fox boxing event he did last month, just because I heard very, very good reviews of his work with fox sports.
It's weird.
But JR could, JR could commentate a snail race and make it sound like he was 500.
And that's real.
Because it is well documented on this show.
The two greatest announcers in the history of professional wrestling.
Gordon solely Jim Ross in that order.
But a snail race.
You can make it sound like the 8500.
Debate it.
I guess I like you're watching a scene from Turbo.
I mean, the guy is amazing.
And nobody sells an angle better than Jim Ross in current day.
This is true.
So, and I met him one time.
It was for about five seconds and he shook my hand.
And I would for five seconds of my life.
I was a seven year old fanboy.
Did I ever tell you that story?
Uh, it was when Cody and I went up to Oklahoma to their homecoming.
Uh, he got tickets and we went up there.
And we were way just waiting because we're going to go into the stadium and see everybody.
And he just came walking by.
And I like his Cody.
Cody.
Cody.
Cody.
He was like, dude, go talk to him.
I can't.
As I just went up and I shook my chicken's hand.
I said, huge fancere.
He said, oh, thank you.
And then I sent him a tweet that following Monday.
I just said, I want to thank you for stopping and saying hello to a long time fan.
And he responded.
And.
And there you were two of your old fanboy.
I was.
He is one of the greats.
And he's a Hall of Famer as dog on well.
He should be.
And we're very, very happy that he's doing better.
So Mr. Ross, much loves you.
And we hope that you continue to improve.
As you talk about JR getting healthier.
We have a couple of injuries last night of the house show in Madison, Wisconsin.
As Cena is wrestling for a Wyatt.
And apparently takes a what's being called a pretty severe blow to the head where two
trainers came out to check on him.
He finished the match because he's John Cena.
And that's what he does.
But he did not hang around for the normal post match celebration that he tends to do.
So he had believe he's being evaluated today.
Adam Rose also had a nasty cut above his eye from the same house show.
Is it sad that I really didn't really understand the rose but think of this week?
It didn't hit me until this week.
Really.
But then what always last thing.
Okay.
So there's that.
And I fully admit that.
I'm flinging to that.
It's okay.
I don't know how the lemon thing works until it.
But just because of your sour push.
I guess.
So we hope the scene is doing okay.
Let us get into a little bit of raw talk.
As I have watched seven hours of wrestling in the last 48 hours.
I'm sorry.
It was one of those.
You know, Monday I was busy.
And then you came over later in the week after we did a special edition.
And I didn't really feel like I'm going to fire up anything.
Dude, I was exhausted.
So I don't know what you know about raw because you didn't get to watch it with me.
So Damian Sandow came out dressed as one of the Indiana Pacers.
The guy that was blowing in the bronze ear.
Oh no.
So is he now the new Frenchy?
It looks like it.
But then Frenchy came out and dunked the ball and punched him in a face.
So I was like, oh, and there comes Frenchy to handle some gimmick infringement.
I just.
We need to just take him off TV for about two months and completely repackage him.
Because the guy can go.
Sandow's cardio alone is ridiculous the way that guy can go.
And we're just.
It's like creators like we just don't know what to do with you.
And it's sad that it really is sad because he's he's got Mike skills.
He's got charisma. He can get a pot from a crowd.
Um, and he's he's he's got the physical ability.
But it's like now he's just kind of meandering.
It's really pitiful.
It's like they've got these good workers, but they just really don't know how to use it.
Utilize them correctly.
Don't get it.
And worse promo voice.
Bo Dallas or Evan Bourne.
Between the two of them are a 13 year old girl.
I got got to say Evan Bourne.
That's the worst promo voice.
Because he's super excited.
And he looks like Tony well.
But this bow Dallas and God bless this kid for selling this.
It's a horrible bit, but it's horrible.
He's selling it to the guilt.
What choice does he have?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
I just love how he said the reason that they hate me.
The pacers is because they believed.
Some of the bronze James liked it.
I swear to God, these guys are not only trying to make lemonade at a lemons.
They're forcing them to build the lemonade stand too.
But aren't we dealing with the same company that told us that we didn't.
We didn't want our intelligence insulted with outlandish gimmicks and storylines.
Oh, good guy.
Bad guy.
Not a guy on a party bus with a guy dressed as a bunny.
That the world is now an LMFAO video apparently.
And a guy that is apparently the worst motivational speaker ever.
And deliverance means duck dynasty.
So that's what we're doing.
Oh, good.
That's kind of a, I kind of want to go memo to Vince.
You know?
Did you?
Vince seriously.
Do you watch this crap?
Are you watching this?
Do you?
Do you?
Do you have any idea what is going on?
Can you turn to watch this show for me?
This is being done in your name.
In your family name.
And you're allowing this to continue.
So are you updated on the championship situation?
No.
Stephanie comes out on Monday.
She says one of two things is going to happen.
So Brian can compete at money in the bank.
He's going to face can in a stretcher match.
But if he can't, the money in the bank ladder match now becomes for the WWE World Heavyweight title.
So that leads me to my question of if we do that.
Does that mean we're going to still have two money in the banks?
One for the title and one for the briefcase?
That's one way of doing it.
I mean,
Don say an apparently Zach Ryder has had to play the bunny a couple of times.
I've also heard, you know.
I've also heard that Joey Mercury's been in that bunny suit, too.
So.
Go ahead.
Ha ha ha.
Who else says where's my banjo?
Gotta love our chat room.
Where's my agent?
And Rusev comes out to get this award from the quote unquote Russian Federation.
It looks like they bought the thing at party city on the way up to the arena.
It probably did.
And somewhere.
A lot of mere pooty poos got to be going.
He said the boy's going to sing my name again.
Wait.
Wait.
What did I agree to this crap?
Or he's going.
You know, any publicity is good to publicity.
Like, on SmackDown, they she even brought up Gorbachev.
And I was like.
Oh, really?
And I can't see Gorbachev thinking about old comedy.
But I heard where some of his, he said that somebody took Gorbachev's head.
And they scan him with the grocery store to just keep coming up communist.
God.
But that USH it's still over.
I don't get it.
And then when I, I know I guess we'll do a little smack down talk on this.
When Xavier Woods came out to take him home and smack down.
He came out the stars and stripes forever.
I'm like, what?
No way.
But I was as rusev really born in Bulgaria.
Yes.
Yeah.
So I looked that up on you on the Wikipedia.
The Bulgarian Taz.
Yes.
And then the ending came.
Let's take the most overgroup that we have in the company.
And go ahead and break them up.
But I will tell you this.
Did not see Seth Rollins as the one to turn.
I'll give them that.
He thought I thought it was going to be Ambrose.
Which would have made me just despise him that much more.
Don is saying supposedly Vince decided to break up the shield due to ratings were low a week before the go home and he thought it would get ratings.
Yes sure.
If anything, you pissed off him.
That's exactly what you did.
Because they've already been tea.
You know, because I think he slapped us in the face two weeks in a row.
Because I know they've been tea's in it for a while.
They were tea's in the coat.
The road's voice breaking up.
So now that's gone.
And now you're going to break up the shield right after that.
Horrible.
Stupid.
Horrible planning.
And I mean, we had heard the rumors of shameless joining evolution.
Bad idea.
I'd have been better off with keep the shield where they are.
Cody Rhodes joins evolution and then you've got something going on there.
There's now what I'm hearing.
The rumor is money in the bank.
It's going to be Roman Reigns versus Seth Rollins.
And then for battleground,
it's going to be Roman Reigns versus Dean Ambrose leading up to whoever your world heavyweight championship.
Carrier is.
So this is all things going to be fragmented by that.
That Roman's going to go for the title or take on Triple H at Summerslam.
So I don't know really what's going on there.
I don't think anybody.
That's what's so sad.
I just, I got to the end of Raw.
And I was like, this is what we're doing.
I'm very confused by this.
I'm just getting so fed up.
From really bad booking to really?
Wednesday was the 10th anniversary of impact.
So you think about that when we went to slam a anniversary two years ago.
That was the 10th anniversary of TNA.
Yikes.
Yeah.
They did paper view for two years.
But they made 10 years on three different networks, but they did it.
Well, how many, but how many networks has WWE been splattered across across the last several years?
Yeah, but that's been almost 20.
So in 20 years it went from USA to TNN back to USA.
Yeah.
Because TNN became spike.
I mean.
And the bullet underneath it goes through the next show.
They had a house show in Bowie, Maryland on Friday night.
Drew 100 to 300 fans in a minor league baseball stadium.
Yeah.
Go to 411 Mania's wrestling section.
They have a tweet of that a fan sent of a picture from the game.
And I'm not kidding you.
You couldn't fit the entire crowd in the first three rows of that stadium.
Ouch.
And it's a minor league stage.
Oh.
But was it a Po-Dunk town?
Where'd you say it was?
Bowie, Maryland.
Possibly a Po-Dunk town.
But everything in the Northeast is a driving distance from each other.
Because all the seats are so small.
You have to remember, you live in Texas.
Everything's, you know, the slogan.
I'm sick of hearing it.
But 300 fans.
We've had more than that at Fox and Hound for WrestleMania.
Yikes.
That's actually true.
That's true.
That is actual honest to God.
Wow.
God, Lee, the more I think about that,
the more it just chills me.
I was like, wow, that's, that's, that's not a, that is not a BS statement.
It's not, you can't debate it.
No, I can't.
Impact talk.
Mike Teney.
Mr. Anderson comes out and does a bit where he makes fan of Cowboy James Storm.
And they play the, the, uh, sorry about your damn walk entrance.
Uh-huh.
James Storm.
Go an old school.
Can somebody please tell Tene the definition of old school?
Six months ago is not old school.
I'd say, what exactly?
Man's in his early millions.
He should understand what old school is by now.
He is old school just by, by pure definition.
Go back to the Star Trek show you used to be on.
He was on a Star Trek show.
He looks like it.
Might as well have been.
Also, you know, well, we're going to stop deaf for us.
He wants to shout out to his niece who graduated from, uh,
Alan High School on Friday night.
And it class of fourteen hundred years.
I don't think there are that many people in my entire high school.
What was there?
And when will Mr. Anderson realize the street lights on?
Come home son again.
I think it's one of those things where if he hasn't learned by now.
And he talked about them having a drinking contest where it turned out he wasn't drinking.
He was, he was drinking non alcoholic beverages and then beat up in James Storm.
Did I miss that?
I think that might have been on the impact that I didn't watch.
But I deleted because I didn't have to watch it.
Because I think it was from a more old day weekend.
Is that what that happened on?
Because I don't remember that happening.
And now we're doing this bit where Gunner is spending time with Sam Shaw and his patented,
patented room at the psych ward.
It's, uh,
I don't know how they can look at that show and go.
Yeah, it's good enough.
Doesn't work.
I think this happened.
That's does it every way.
It's just, but still as bad as Raw and SmackDown are,
it's still better than impact.
Not all the time, but consistently.
Yeah, but as we well know, when it's really not saying much,
when is spike going to go, you only need to do something.
We'll put on four more reruns of cops.
We don't have a problem with that.
Speaking of things on Spite TV,
I'm going to sidetrack you here on this.
Was that a local mall yesterday on the other side of town?
They had a kiosk,
which was the Cheaters Spice Center,
where you could buy bobbleheads of the dude from Cheaters.
I can't imagine these are flying off the shelves.
I'm just,
the onset of did happen.
It was a super bar scene with him.
It was a bit of a memorial,
the Thursday before Memorial Day,
because I just deleted impact because I didn't have to watch it.
Now, the only reason that something like that would fly off the shelves
is if it had a spike cam embedded in the bobblehead.
Well, I'm just saying,
if you're wanting to,
if you think that you're a significant other's cheating on you,
when you put the bobblehead on the nightstand and pointed toward the bed,
and you have it when she realized who the bobblehead was.
You think she would go?
You know what?
This is a little creepy for me.
Maybe, maybe not.
Why do you idolize that guy?
I'm just saying.
You know, I'm not saying it's subtle,
but I'm just saying.
That'd be a one way to market it.
I don't know.
Let's move on to a little snack.
Back down talk.
Did not know this.
Tamina Snuka undergoes successful knee surgery.
So that's why she's been,
she was just on the show when a week ago.
You know what?
It seemed like I do remember hearing about her getting injured.
But I didn't realize it was injured enough to where she needed surgery.
But she has successful knee surgery.
So we hope that she's doing well.
Also, congratulations to Heath Slater and his wife Stephanie,
welcoming a new baby girl on Wednesday.
Nice.
So it's now a two and a half man band.
In his household.
Poor guy.
Poor guy.
He's got skills.
I don't give him.
He's got skills.
Just one quick SmackDown note.
They brought out Brawlands in the beginning of the show.
Wouldn't have if it, you couldn't have sold the heel heat more.
If you didn't have him come out and the shield gear had him come out and the suit.
Yeah.
Because he said the only person that knows why he did what he did is him.
He's not saying why he did it.
And he's not telling why.
Nope.
Way to make people care about it.
Let's take the one thing that's working in this company and watch it down the toilet.
This is what they do.
But I think, you know, in Cody and I talked about this the other day, I think JR's right.
Roman Reigns has that belt before WrestleMania.
Yeah.
And I'm okay with them putting the strap on him.
Roman Reigns?
Yes.
Absolutely.
Let that man, that man, I'll carry the company for you for a little while.
I wouldn't put him on him long term.
I'd give him maybe a three four month run to start to gain that
gain that momentum for him to work him up to a long term run.
Because you really think about how long it took scene at a really win the title and have a run.
And polish his Mike skills just a little bit more.
Just a little bit.
Not by much.
No, no, that's one thing.
Good.
Now he's good.
But he, I don't know.
He needs, there's something missing.
There's something that's not quite there yet on the Mike.
Everything else is working fine.
But he, I don't know.
I don't know who you pair him with.
If, I don't know if you pair him.
If you have, you know, the rock or Austin come and give him a couple of pointers.
I mean, get somebody that's, you know, just incredible on the Mike.
And say, okay, try this.
Try this.
Try this.
There's, there's something he needs on the Mike other than that.
He's arguably my favorite person.
I think maybe a little bit more volume.
Because he gets that whole of my community.
Well, he, he's borderline Harrison for he's.
He's got this.
He wants to work the smolder too much.
He needs to work the intensity a little bit more.
I don't tell you who really does have Mike skills.
Really enjoying, even though it's promo by frenzy, the usos.
Those dudes, hey, they're fun.
You're just like, I have no idea what happened.
We're just now, but I was really entertained by it.
I just, I want, I want Roman to say something that just,
I'm, where we're trying to find his catch phrase, maybe.
And it just kind of happens organically.
And not saying that he's, that he's going out of his way to create something.
But I wanted to say that one thing where just like that's it.
And that's what he clings to.
I'm waiting for his T-shirt moment.
Okay.
I really don't know any other way to describe it.
But at the fair point, it's, there's something, I know it.
And I know it's there.
It's just, we're just got to wait for it.
Okay.
Because I'm fully behind it.
I'm, I'm a hundred percent in, in Roman Reigns corner.
I'm sorry.
I had, he's, he's my favorite guy right now.
You are the clubhouse podcast live.
Every Sunday, night seven Eastern for Pacific.
We appreciate everyone of you listening in and make sure that you're a registered
user here on you stream.
You can give us live feedback during the show as our chat room tends to go.
Let's move on.
Do a little bit of baseball talk.
We're going to go straight to standings.
The American League East.
Tampa Bay.
Wow.
We kind of had a vibe and do us here.
Really.
If you think about it.
Oh, Don Zimmer.
Mm-hmm.
We'd be remiss if you'd definitely want to say a
Rest in peace.
The Don Zimmer who passed away this past week.
Did you know that his number changed every year
to the number of years he was in Major League Baseball?
No.
And his last number was 66.
From being a player to a coach, he had been in Major League Baseball for 66 years.
And I completely forgot he had a swim through here.
Mm-hmm.
That he was a Ranger at one time.
Really?
Most, unfortunately, most people will remember him as the guy that got in the fight.
Yeah.
The drunken father and son that jumped out of the stands.
I was watching that when it happened live.
And we all went, what the, what the, what the what?
So, God rest your soul, sir.
You have more than earned your ticket in the heaven.
Standing is American League East.
The Tampa Bay Rays are 24 and 40.
They have lost two straight right now.
There are 14 games back Boston.
Boston is not doing well.
They're nine and a half back.
They're seven games below 500 right now.
They've lost their last five straight.
Wow.
They're not even above 500 at home.
They're two games below 500 at home.
And I like them.
I don't know if I have that statter not.
Oh, I kind of figure out.
Try to find that on a different website because I don't have America's favorite game on the MLB website.
American League Central, the Minnesota twins.
Three games below 500 and they're five and a half back.
That's crazy.
The Chicago White Sox are a half game better than them.
The entire league is within five and a half games of each other.
Kansas City, a half game better than them.
But Cleveland is three and a half back on Detroit.
Cleveland Detroit and Kansas City have all one two straight.
White Sox have lost their last three straight.
And you're beloved American League West.
And we're going to talk about that here in just a little while.
The Houston Astros, 28 and 36.
Okay, so it's a roll with me on this.
Eight games below 500.
Right.
You're 11 games out of first place.
Love it a half.
Texas, your Texas Rangers are a game below 500.
They gotta get some rolling here.
Yes, they do.
They've lost their last two straight.
But they're eight games out of first place.
They're last 10, they're four and six.
They're only a game above 500 on the road.
Seattle 33 and 29.
They've won their last two straight.
They're five and a half back.
A team we like to call.
No.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles County, California,
America, North America, Earth.
They are currently second in the division.
They are four and a half games back on the Oakland A's.
Oakland 39 and 24 right now in the National League West.
The Arizona Diamondbacks, who have won two straight.
They are 15 games out of first place at 28 and 37.
San Diego is a game better than them.
Colorado in the middle of the pack.
They've lost one straight.
Misty's beloved Dodgers are nine and a half back on the San Francisco
Giants who have won their last five straight.
The Giants are 22 and nine at home.
So he's.
That's how they get down.
I'm just saying.
Having a little bit of an issue here.
We're going to get it done in the National League central.
The Chicago Cubs.
10 games below 500 11 games out of first place.
They are three games behind Don's beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.
Cincinnati in the middle of the pack.
John John Anderson's beloved St. Louis Cardinals are five back on guests who.
The Milwaukee Brewers are currently leading the National League central division.
Who the fuck that?
Get your stuff together because Jesus is coming.
And the only division that matters the NL East.
The Philadelphia Phillies always love to see them in last place in the division as their
team is back right now.
They've lost their last two straight.
The Mets have lost six in a row.
They are five games back.
But we have a three way tie for first place.
And two of them are my teams.
Uh oh.
The Marlins, the Natenals and my Atlanta Braves.
All tied for first place right now.
Right now Atlanta has the tie break.
We go.
Oh, I don't know what I'm ready for that yet.
He's a people.
I'm not ready for that yet.
Atlanta Washington Miami all tied for first place.
As far as a tie break goes there in that order.
My Braves are coming to town.
They're coming back.
What was the last time you saw them?
The last time they were here.
Six years ago.
Wow.
And their Rangers beat the pants off of us too.
And I mean just blast the cup.
All right.
I think we're ready for America's favorite game.
That's coming back right now.
And if you're not listening to this show live.
You've already missed the debut of America's favorite game show for this year.
What is the differential of runs for the Houston Astros?
We have a couple of, uh, we have one of, we have two official predictions.
Don says negative 35 Russ says negative 40 Chad your prediction.
62.
62.
The Houston Astros are currently 28 and 36 and one of those hideous orange uniforms.
They have a winning percentage of 438.
They're 11 and a half games back as we talked to earlier.
They have an identical rodent away record of 14 and 18.
They've won their last straight.
They are currently at a negative 48.
Oh shoot.
So Russ wins.
He's the closest without going over.
So that's where they're all, you know, minus 48.
But Oakland's run differential is a plus 118 in the same division.
And by the way, sir, your Texas Rangers are only 18 runs behind them behind Houston in a run differential.
Uh, I think Oakland may have the best in the league.
They're definitely best in the American league.
Got it.
Atlanta's only got plus nine.
Yeah, the closest is San Francisco at plus 63.
So Oakland is tearing it down.
So there's that.
So we'll be monitoring that every week for the rest of the season,
or at least to the regular season, so we're going to be used to making a playoff.
But hey, stranger things.
But you know what?
I still want to go see a game in that stadium.
Just because of the stadium.
I just, I drive by that stadium when we go on to see my in laws.
And I'm like, I want to, I just, that looks like a cool stadium.
I'd want to watch a game there.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's get into a little movie talk.
Shall we?
For the latest.
I don't even know what that means either.
Box office numbers.
Only one movie dropping out of the top 10 this week.
And it is the other woman.
$485,000 this weekend for a seven week total of 82.2 million on a $40 million budget.
Really enjoy that film.
That's right.
You did go see that.
You want to know what I really thought?
Subscribe on iTunes.
It's all telling you.
10th place this week dropping from 8 to 10 million dollar arm.
$1.8 million for a four week total of 31.4 million dollars on a $25 million budget.
So John Ham.
Congratulations on that.
9th place.
Staying in 9th place this week.
A movie.
If you don't see it, I'm calling you a communist.
The brand new film from John Fabro.
Open wide this week.
Chef.
I'm just going to say it.
I love this movie.
I said you have been singing the praises of this.
$2.6 million.
It gained 674 theaters this week.
One of only two films in the top 10 that gained theaters.
For a five week total of 10.4 million dollars.
I do not see a budget on this.
You can look that up.
Okay.
The budget is dropping from 5 to 8 this week is the biggest flop in Adam Sandler's career.
And I mean that literally.
I'm not being figurative.
And that is saying something.
Blend it makes $4.1 million.
Loses 627 theaters for a three week total of 36.5 million dollars on a $40 million budget.
Dropping from six to seven is neighbors.
$5.2 million for a five week total of 137.8 million dollars.
Show what the budget on this was?
On neighbors?
18 million.
Really?
Yes.
Go to you rock.
Jobs from four to six this week making just under six million dollars for a four week total of
185.1 million dollars on a $160 million budget.
So it's going to crawl across the finish.
At least domestically.
I'm sure it's crushing it worldwide.
Oh, I'm sure.
Dropping from the bronze middle to fifth place is the Seth MacFarlane vehicle.
A million ways to die in the west.
7.2 million dollars gained two theaters.
For a two week total of 32.1 million dollars.
I don't have a budget on that.
Fourth place drops from the silver medal.
X men days of future past 14.7 million dollars for a three week total.
It lost 362 theaters.
Wow.
Three week total of 189.1 million dollars on a $200 million budget.
So it'll make the money.
Day viewing and the bronze medal position this week is edge of tomorrow.
Or as I like to call it groundhog day with guns.
29.1 million dollars opening.
Oh, that's got a 178 million dollar budget.
It looks like it.
It looks like a really expensive production.
Well, we talked to a local reviewer at a screening.
We went to.
Russ.
Wheels are gone.
Oh, no.
Who's the man that who fries in a pan?
Chef.
On.
Right.
Come on.
Against.
It's not funny.
Come on.
And then we're done.
But edge of tomorrow.
I talked to a local reviewer.
Who I thought would be really hard on it.
But she said she really, really liked it.
And doesn't look like a bad film.
But we're just pretty much just resting on our past.
I'm also not.
A big Emily Blunt fan.
I'm just not.
I can't tell you why.
I'm just not.
Are you going to get used to her?
Because there's a lot of rumors thrown around that she might be your next cat woman in
Justice League.
Dropping from gold to silver this week is Maleficent.
Who apparently a lot of people are having trouble with that name.
It's like it's been around for 50 years.
Yeah, but they always just refer to her as.
The evil chicken speaking sleeping beauty.
33.5 million dollars for a two-week total of $127.4 million on a $180 million budget.
Wow.
I've heard good things.
I haven't talked to anybody that didn't like it.
And day viewing at number one a movie that Chad will not see.
The fault in our stars 48.2 million dollars.
I just can't put myself through it.
You with the budget on this was probably next to nothing.
12.
Yeah.
12 million dollars.
It's made almost 50.
I do not want to sit in a theater and sob for for two hours and then come home and sob the rest of the night.
Because I know that's where this is going to end up.
I'll tell you the author of that book is an amazing interview.
He was on Bob and Tom about a month ago.
And they were first when we started the media blitz for this movie.
Which came through here.
A great interview.
Great interview.
John says he saw it.
John says he saw it just tomorrow.
He really liked it.
So I didn't know he went saw that.
He may have seen it on his own.
He just didn't mention it.
Yeah.
So.
It's not like we didn't just see the guy.
It never got.
Remember him bringing it up.
Let's get into movie headlines.
I can get this in the work.
There we go.
Antonio Bandaris and Melanie Griffith.
Was it 18 or 10 years?
I couldn't see that far to the TV.
Oh, he said he saw it last night with Gary.
Okay.
Okay.
I thought it was 18.
I just couldn't read.
I was too far away from the TV because I'm getting old.
And I couldn't see if it was.
Because they they he was directing a film that she was a star in.
And that's where they met.
That would have been 18 years ago.
Okay.
Welcome to the.
How do you say?
Yes.
Go through.
Geez.
You're welcome in our net.
I don't know between me and Ross.
We're on fire tonight.
I understand back here with a fire extinguisher.
So I just.
What's going on over there.
Oh, it just sunk in.
What?
Really?
Yeah.
I just.
I don't know.
I saw this headlight and I went.
They're still married.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I never got that.
I just never understood them as a couple.
Well, love is strange.
Anyway, a lot.
So we have another casting announcement.
These casting announcements for these doing jungle book movies are going to get really confusing at a certain point.
He's not reading his head on the desk.
He's laughing.
So hard.
He's these punching things.
Should've known.
I told you.
If you're just new to the show.
I should've seen that one come.
I just want you to know that nobody except me knows the music bed before the show.
And there's, and what you're hearing right now is the absolute reason for that.
Back to the matter day.
Okay.
Chief Mabanga and Warner Brothers version of the jungle book will be voiced by Demon Honsu.
Uh, will be, will be very soon featured in the How to Train Your Dragon 2.
You want to know what we thought?
Wait, tell me this week.
I'm so excited.
And just grab a bite too.
With Helpy.
He's playing who?
Chief Mabanga.
Who the heck is that?
I don't know.
It's right to have one.
I've seen jungle book many a time.
I guess they're really going with the expanded edition here.
The EU of the jungle.
Really?
Peter Jackson's version of the jungle.
Speaking of EU things.
I went to a local comic book shop and got my copy of number one.
Yeah, where'd you go?
That was the local one over here.
Okay.
I forgot that the Star Wars is out.
I got issue one.
I haven't gotten any other ones after that.
And that was out.
And I'm not saying maybe we might be talking about.
You want to show it once a while with that.
We might have.
Oh, okay.
It's kind of a nice conversation with them yesterday.
Really?
Okay.
I didn't need.
You have my attention.
Speaking of things.
Disney related.
After the success of Maleficent.
Director Bill Condon has been act to direct a live action.
Updated beauty in the beast for Disney.
Is this what we're doing now?
Looks like it.
I mean, what's next?
The live action version of the great mouse detective from the people who brought you babe.
Am I going to get the rescuers down under done with live mice?
Oh, geez.
Wow.
This is WWE.
Download app.
Rob showing up all of a sudden.
What the crap, Disney?
You're Disney.
It's working for him.
Well, okay.
Now, think about this for a second.
Your Gerard Butler is the fox Robin Hood.
This summer.
What?
Let me get through this.
You, you have to take into consideration that they've pretty much taken.
Traditional hand drawn animation off the table at this point.
Can we?
That's a shame.
It really is.
But they can't just rely on Pixar to be the only thing that generates them revenue.
They seem to just do million dollar arm.
I don't remember the end of the version of that.
They seem to be.
Yeah.
They're victim of their own success in some cases.
They're like, we have to go back to what made us profitable in the first place.
And given it, Maleficent made a sick amount of money.
Hugh Jackman is who Fossa.
We've already got Cinderella in production.
There's a teaser trailer after that.
All it is is just, but you know what Cinderella has been done a bunch of times.
So I can kind of roll with that.
Beauty in the beast is Ron Pearlman board.
I mean, look at how successful it was on Broadway.
And that seems to be one of the litmus tests.
And I'm saying it now.
You have frozen on Broadway within the next five years.
Absolutely.
And I saw, we watched it.
I mean, I too much singing for me.
Way too much singing.
It was like, they finished a song.
What do you think?
I will sing the next five minutes.
I'm not that great.
It's a musical.
At the expense of our under 14 teenage girl demographic.
Not that great.
Well, I think it kind of got overhyped for you.
Josh Gad, very funny.
Enjoyed his work.
I'm not saying it's a bad film.
Didn't move up to what you were expecting.
It's just not, it's not toy story by any friend.
No, but then again, what is it?
It's for Disney for doing that without Pixar.
It looked amazing.
It looked gorgeous.
Have you never seen you haven't seen Tangle yet, have you?
No, I have not.
I think if you had seen Tangle first,
you probably might have appreciated Frozen Eve that much more.
It was frozen on ice.
What is work in the day?
I am going to roll it aside as slow.
You need to have surgery more often.
They tweaked your funny bone while they had you under.
Dude, you're knocking it out of the park today.
Frozen on ice.
That like the Disney on ice t-shirt I had when I was a teenager.
That was a whole different thing.
Good lord.
Oh my gosh.
It's early Robin Russ.
The shortlist for Dr. Strange is out.
We talked earlier, you talked about Jared Leto,
but also Benedict's Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy are on that shortlist.
Hardy, I'm kind of intrigued by Cumberbatch not so much because he always looks confused.
But Jared Leto, just cooking.
He's like the younger Johnny Depp.
That was the original rumor.
And yeah, that was the original go-to guy for a strange thing.
I still think Johnny Depp would do it because they're kind of...
They were supposed to be skewing older, so I don't know what happened there.
That would work.
God knows he needs a success.
He's kind of languishing in mediocrity.
Which is really sad because that guy was guaranteed box office.
This came down a couple of weeks ago,
and we didn't get to talk about it.
And I'm a little concerned about Anthony right now.
You're welcome in a...
Uh...
Edgar Wright is now turning.
You did that on purpose.
You better believe I did.
It's parking.
What?
Well, is that what happens with that man?
Edgar Wright is out.
I'm gonna pass out.
But Peyton Reed is in.
And Adam McKay is working with the script.
Okay, now what...
I'm still trying to collect myself.
I'll give you a minute.
What else?
What else?
What else has this guy done?
The director.
I'm working on that for you.
That's what I learned how to spell.
It's maybe one of your best moments.
Director, yes, man.
Yes, man.
With Jim Carrier.
Okay.
You never see.
I like it.
I was actually really good.
I enjoyed it.
He also directed the break-up.
He directed bring it on.
Down with love.
He's in pre-production for the fifth beatle.
That looks pretty cool.
It's not a very interesting.
Did some new girl episodes?
Oh, man.
You okay over there?
Yeah, I'm wiping tears out of my eyes.
I did a lot of upright citizens brigade.
So this is an interesting choice.
Okay, he's got good pedigree then.
He said you here.
We have Thanos kid cast as well.
Cast?
They've revealed who's going to play him.
Because he's in Guardians.
No.
Josh Brolin.
Oh.
I...
When I heard what I read it, I sat there for a minute and I went...
Oddly, I'm in.
You've seen men of like three, right?
Yes.
He can be the cold story guy.
And he's got the jawline.
I was like...
Oddly, I'm really in on this.
I'm sold.
And I texted front of the show Jim Bragel.
He was like...
You know what?
I'm thinking this.
I am sold.
I'm absolutely sold.
Yeah.
So...
I forgot to tell you about that.
That came down last week.
Wow, I'm big time in on that.
We have a rumored director for Snow White and the Huntsman too.
And I'm going to say it.
That movie was terrible.
I fast forwarded the last 10 minutes of it.
Like, I was like, this is killing me.
It made money.
That's all it takes now, Dave.
Frank Derabont.
Are you joking?
Look it up.
He's in negotiations right now as we speak.
Yuck.
Come on.
Derabont.
Aren't you above that?
You did the Shoshank Redemption star.
God.
I didn't...
Didn't he direct the pilot episode of the Walking Dead, too?
He was the showrunner.
Yeah, I was going to say...
But he directed the first episode.
If I'm not mistaken.
I don't know how many episodes he directed.
He fired directed several.
But...
How do you...
Although the mist...
I could have gone the rest of my life and not seen that film.
Shoshank Green Mile...
That'll...
Those two alone.
And now let's get to the part of the show where I call Rob and Chad get old.
Coming to theaters this September.
I am so excited.
The 30th anniversary...
Re-release of Ghost Busters.
With a new special edition, Blu-ray set were for both movies.
Yep.
I read some of the content.
There will be a new roundtable discussion with the principal actors.
And the director.
I just wish that the...
The discs that I had...
Had the...
The Shadowcast commentary on it because mine don't.
I think... I thought they were bringing that back.
I know that the trivia track will be there.
Well, I mean, if they do, they're not going to be able to update it, obviously.
Fair point.
But it's weird that it's...
It's the 30th anniversary for Ghost Busters and the 25th for Ghost Busters, too.
And the 20th for Forest Gump.
That will be getting the IMAX re-release treatment.
Why?
September 5th, the 20 years to the day.
Why IMAX for...
Well, I guess...
Some of that footage, I think, would look amazing.
Yeah, the Vietnam stuff and the...
The stuff on the boat close to the end would be really good.
And some of those sweeping shots of DC during the protest march would be pretty good.
That's why it's kind of hoping we had Charlotte because...
I told her there was a headline tonight that was just for her.
I don't want to know, I want to be surprised.
So I'm going to have to call her and tell her.
But yeah, Forest Gump, 20th anniversary, sir.
My daughter just watched this movie again for the first time in years last week.
It's a household name.
And...
Because this movie came out right after she was born.
Yep.
And I saw that...
But see, I didn't see it until I moved here.
Well, this was a movie that we would literally...
We would put it on.
And her little...
Less than one year old behind would sit there and just be transfixed for...
The entire running length of that film.
And that's no short movie.
No, that's...
That's a life joke.
And...
She...
She was always intrigued, but of course she had no idea what was going on.
And she hadn't watched it in ages.
And came back and she watched it in her room, came back in.
Tears just pouring it up.
I forgot how...
I forgot how that movie makes you feel.
One of my favorite throwaway moments.
I was...
Mama bought some stock in the fruit company.
Just...
That in...
Greenbow, Alabama!
But it's only funny when Charlotte says it.
We were sitting next to a millionaire.
I like that guy.
I really wish he had done the sequel.
But I think you're probably too far gone now.
Did you ever read that thing?
No, I did not.
Gumb and company?
That's... there's a reason.
Oh, I wasn't bad.
They would have had to do so much...
So much rewriting of that thing.
Cause, you know, in the... in the book, Gumb and company,
he actually meets Tom Hanks at the Oscars.
Nice.
So it gets real meta.
Uh...
But...
The... that book...
The second...
It was kind of like the Lost World.
Uh... I remember reading the Lost World on.
This wasn't anywhere near as good as that first book.
Huh.
And... I felt that way about the Da Vinci code.
Angels and Demons was a much better book.
Yeah, I haven't... I have not sat through either one of those.
They're pretty close to the book in content.
But Angels and Demons was a much better book than the Da Vinci code was.
And it was not a much better film than the Da Vinci code was.
Uh, they're about to starve with each other.
But it was weird because there was like...
Angels and Demons at the sequel might know that that was the first book.
So that kind of like they did the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom thing.
Yeah.
Where the sequel was a prequel?
No.
The sequel was the first book.
It wasn't a prequel.
It was the first book.
Angels and Demons was released before the Da Vinci code.
But what I'm saying is...
Yeah.
The Temple of Doom was a...
What did take place before Raiders?
Yeah.
In chronological terms.
And we have Mission Impossible Five News.
Jeremy Renner will return for Mission Impossible Five.
Good.
I'm scared to watch Ghost Protocol because I don't want it to blow up my home theater.
I really want to watch it.
But I'm afraid it's going to blow up.
Did we never finish it?
We never started it.
We only got five minutes in.
I thought we finished that.
No.
Because remember we got five minutes in.
He was breaking out of that prison.
He punched the guy and then my home theater receiver blew up.
But I thought we actually finished it.
I'm like, that was either the coolest special effect that I've ever seen.
Or I'm about to shell out some cats.
And unfortunately...
There was a ladder.
There was a ladder.
And then it went even a loud moment.
It was just like he was waiting at the door for the cell that I'm locking.
Both of my...
Dude, that's all a spark.
Go off inside that thing.
You don't have any beverages, right?
You're good.
I've got one in front of me, but I'll make sure not to drink it.
Once you take a deep breath.
Okay.
New movie releases in a new movie release house near you this week.
Okay, now.
It's no ants marching, but that's pretty good.
How to train your dragon, too.
Oh, hold on.
I got to chew my tongue almost.
I know.
Just hold on.
Hold on.
Dreamworks animations sequel to the highly successful film.
Jay Barrishel Craig Ferguson.
Kate Blanchett.
The aforementioned heroine button.
Jay Rdbootlarn.
He's not...
He's not 11, I really want to say it that way.
Also, 22 jump street.
It comes out this week.
I actually have interest in this.
I just like Jonah Hill and Channing TAYDEM has my respect forever, whatever, he just does.
He's like that guy that all the women love and I can't head on no matter how I want to.
I can't hate on this dude.
Damn.
Andy's going to be given it.
What's the...
That's right.
Except one line he's got in the trailer where Jonah Hill is trying to act like an undercover
street gang member.
He just sees it.
I was biggin' it.
Or did you find this gling off all the time off for his son's concert?
I don't know if it's okay.
I'm so not prepared right now for this segment.
I'm just not.
But I do want to see 22 jump street.
I really, I thought the second one or the first one.
It exceeded my expectations.
Like I just thought, oh this is gonna be horrible.
And it wasn't bad.
And am I correct that not only is Ice Cube their boss, but his wife is played by Queen Latifa?
That I don't know.
I thought she was in the first one.
I don't remember that from the first one.
But I only saw the first one one time.
Also this week a movie called the signal.
What do you know about this?
Oh, I had to see that.
See if I can solve the trailer for it.
It looks excessively creepy.
If it's three college students on a road trip across the Southwest experience a detour,
the tracking of a computer genius who has already hacked into MIT and exposed security faults.
The trio find themselves drawn to an eerily isolated area.
Suddenly everything goes dark when one of the students nick.
Regains consciousness.
He is in a waking nightmare.
This has Lawrence Fishburns, Sarah Clark, and Olivia Cookenitz.
Okay, and I guess I don't know about this.
The poster looks really creepy.
It's just like a guy in a, in like a containment suit in one of those infinity mirrors.
Have you seen this latest reality found footage type film that's coming out that's about Bigfoot?
No.
I can't think of the title of it because I saw the trailer pop up on.
On IMDB the other day and I watched it and then I realized who the director was.
It wasn't.
Bob can't go tweet.
Oh, yeah.
He talked about that on B&T, but I haven't seen the trailer.
It's the rover.
It's David McClod's follow up to animal kingdom.
It's that in the world 10 years following the collapse of society.
The rule of the law has disintegrated in life as cheap.
The film follows hardened, loner, Eric, played by Guy Pierce.
As he travels, the desolate towns and roads of the outback.
When a gang of thieves steals his car and leave behind a wounded guy, but played by Robert Pattinson.
They forced him there.
They forced him to track the gang and Eric will go to any lengths to take back the one thing that still matters to him.
The story he can see the story with Joel Ederton.
Jillian Jones is in this Anthony Hayes.
I've seen the trailer. It looks really, really intense.
Jill Ederton, why don't I know that name?
He was in Uzutam Hardy. He was the brother. He was a brother in Warrior.
Uncle Owen?
I believe so.
He's the uncle Owen from the Frequals.
Also coming out this week, a movie that I cannot wish enough good things to called Hellian.
Last year at the Dallas International Film Festival, it was a short film this year.
They had the world premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival as a full-length feature.
Basically, Aaron Paul was in this. He's also an executive producer.
Jillian Lewis is in this.
I met a lot of the cast on the red carpet.
Great people. The directors are really very humble lady.
Very much enjoy talking to her.
Basically, this is one of those stories about a kid who's just kind of rebellious and his brother gets taken away from him and his
down on his luck dad.
Try to just put the thing back together.
This thing got nothing but rave reviews at the Dallas International Film Festival.
I cannot wish enough good luck to this film.
A lot of great people worked on this film.
I asked one of the kids, what was your favorite day on set?
They're like, oh, that's the car thing.
Yeah, I got to beat up a truck and then light it on fire.
Just that was our first interview on the red carpet.
No, that was the second time. You weren't there.
Oh, I told you about it, but you weren't there.
Okay, that was the second one we did.
Also, coming out this week, a movie called All Cheerleaders Die.
So it's a feel good movie.
Yeah, we went to documentary.
Wow.
Teenage outside or Maddie is keeping some dark secrets
and holding a serious grudge against the captain of the blackfoot high football team.
When Maddie joins the school's elite and powerful cheerleading squad,
she convinces her new friends to help inflict her revenge.
After a late night party goes or ride,
her friends take an unexpected turn for the worst and all of the girls die.
A sinister supernatural power intervenes and the girls was seriously
appeared at the school the next day with a killer new look and some unusual new appetites.
Oh, no.
So what was that movie that Megan Fox did right after Transformers
or she was trying to get some Jennifer's body?
Yeah, no.
Yeah, is that one the one?
Also a movie called Ivory Tower.
This is a documentary that kind of exposes what colleges are charging
versus what they're actually the money they're actually using.
Yeah, this looks really, really crazy.
I saw the trailer for this and I was like, you have my attention.
Yeah, that's going to get some people talking.
DVD and blue right new releases in a DVD or blue right new release place near you this week.
I've got three episodes in the DVR.
I have not watched yet, but I've been fascinated by this series.
Cosmos a space time Odyssey.
And I challenge you, sir, to go to yesterday's TV series.
One of them is, I'll tell you the one that I really thought of my friend Julie.
It's Sagan and I just, there's the guy.
They're going to be able to grasp Tyson sitting next to each other as Lego figures.
I think I've seen them though actually.
But this was really good.
And now always this guy.
The guy's Tyson is a physicist.
He is like, he's like the pimped daddy of physicists right now.
He is amazing speaker.
He actually spent a weekend with Carl Sagan when he was younger in 1979.
As a student.
Because he looks like the guy that's in the meme for hold on.
We've got a badass over here.
Every time I say, is that the guy?
As it looks like him.
But he's, he's really, really good.
And it's a really great.
He kind of, at one point, they break down the history of the universe as a, as a one month calendar.
So he kind of shows you as they talk about the origin of species and stuff where they fit into the timeline of the universe.
Oh, we want you a couple of them over here with you the other day.
Very fascinating.
So that'll be available to you this week on TV either.
Also Jack Ryan Shadow recruit.
That came and went.
I'm interested in that.
I'm interested in that.
I'm interested in that.
I'm interested in that.
I'm not on stop.
I'll leave him to buckle.
Taking on a plane.
True detective season one.
If you don't want to get caught up on HBO, go.
You can do it on Blu-ray and DVD this week.
And McConaughey has said he is open to do it more.
Well, here's my thing.
And I'm just going to say it.
It's not really a spoiler alert.
But it had kind of a Scooby-Dewending for me.
I was just kind of like, that's, that's it.
Like, because it built a buildup.
Like, there's not a person in this series that I would have said did a bad job.
Everybody was stellar.
And the chemistry between Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey is amazing.
Michelle Monahan playing Woody Harrelson's wife does an amazing job.
Very, very good.
Tim's Vermeer.
What do you know about this?
This is a documentary that was produced and narrated by Penn Gillette.
The Doc Houser of Hollywood.
It's about a guy that he meets.
And they go back to this, uh, this painter from the Renaissance,
whose paintings were so lifelike and they're done in Vermeer, which is a style,
which is more like oil paintings.
But he's so fascinated that he tries to reproduce the Vermeers because of the way the lightings
done.
They say if you're any form of art fan, this movie will melt your brain.
Because this guy is basically just obsessed with reproducing these Vermeers and trying to get the lighting right.
And the, the angles right.
And I've, I've talked to people that have watched this and then said,
this will melt your brain in a good way.
So check this out.
And you have my attention.
Also, the criteria in collection does all that heaven allows and a French film
club that they had or something like that.
Also.
You're welcome, Internet.
The title sounds like an Aleks Dr. Beck answer pretty much.
And then they parked it.
Okay.
Okay.
We can still do this.
Okay.
I had to make sure that we had enough music to get through this.
Also, Alan Partridge.
Comes out this week on Blue Ray and DVD.
This is something I saw on nothing but trailers.
Steve Cougan plays a,
I'm such a fan of that guy.
Basically, he's a famous DJ.
His radio station is taken over by a new media conglomerate.
Basically, he's getting fired.
But then somebody takes the station over and he becomes a hostage.
It looks like airheads, but better.
Okay.
So also, WWE, but Tsta, the animal unleashed.
If you are enough of a Batista fan that you have to,
see a doctor, man, and read about him.
What voice was that?
I don't know.
What the heck was that?
Just don't know.
What did you just turn into?
I'm frightened right now.
What the hell was that?
You should be.
You have to be kidding you.
Let's go straight to that corner, shall we?
You're covered our, you're covered athletes for
a Madden 2016 is out and his name is Richard Sherman.
It was down to him.
They did like a tournament type thing.
And it was down to him and Cam Newton.
They went on tour on tour.
Yeah, they had like a tournament.
It was like 32 athletes and they, people voted.
They did a big thing on Friday on Sports Center.
Yeah, that was like a, that's the biggest two do I've ever seen them.
Kick up for the cover athlete.
I'm sorry.
If I'm on that list, I'm paying people off to vote for the other guy.
But it was really funny because, you know, Cam kind of handed up a little bit.
It was, it was a really well presented deal.
Has he not been the cover athlete already?
I can neither confirm or deny that's better than just you.
More than me.
I could have sworn he's shoot.
So I'm trying to find that because we've, we've had E3 this week.
E3 kicked up this fast week.
Oh, that's right.
And we've had some, some pretty big,
uh, pretty big games get, get announced.
Unfortunately, um,
the next, uh, Batman Arkham game has been pushed into next year.
Oh, and that's the only thing we're at movie talk was that, uh,
Jupiter ascending from the Wichowski's has been pushed from July to February.
That's not a good, uh, that's not a good place to get pushed.
Yeah, because you've gotten no holiday dollars coming in.
And you're pretty much out of any kind of Oscar contention at that point.
Oh, shoot.
I'm trying to find this, this, uh, announced list.
I know that one of, or what would say,
what things have you heard off the top of your head?
Well, the trailer that I showed you in,
and making the other night that got us all kind of jazz
was the revival of the gauntlet franchise.
Well, I heard the trailer.
I didn't see it.
Yeah.
There's more jazz about that, uh,
the, uh, just lost my,
here we go.
List of games at E3 2014.
Hang on.
Give me just a second here.
Okay.
I've got an alphabetical list.
I'll just touch on the, the biggest biggest of the big.
Uh, there will be another alien, uh,
another game based in the alien franchise.
And, called Alien Isolation,
that will be following the story of Ripley's daughter.
Okay.
Um,
the next title in the Assassin's Creed series
has been announced the Assassin's Creed Unity.
Takes place during the French Revolution apparently.
Uh, for those of you that give a credit,
there's another game coming in the Adventure Time franchise.
Based on the animated series of the same name.
Um, oh, come on, please scroll.
Don't, don't give me this.
Shockwave has decided to go on strike on me.
Uh, see, uh, Battlefield 5.
Um, they're doing a very odd thing with the Borderlands series.
They're doing a, they're literally, it's called the Borderlands, the Free sequel.
So I don't know what exactly that means.
Uh, of course, uh, we, we already have the announcement a couple of weeks ago.
The next Call of Duty title, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
Duty, uh, yes, duty.
Uh, there'll be another, uh, civilization game.
Uh, beyond Earth.
Uh, Disney Infinity 2.0 edition.
When they, just like the Marvel heroes, Marvel superheroes, huh?
Uh, we've gotten another, we've gotten another look at, uh,
uh, the, the Disney Fantasia.
Oh, yeah, I heard that coming out.
Uh, EA Sports UFC will be featuring one Bruce Lee.
Yep.
And it looks mind blowing.
How incredible they make.
Of course, it's next gen only.
If you're an Xbox 360 PS Reowner and you haven't upgraded yet,
this will make you want to.
This thing looks unbelievable.
Uh, another game in the Fable franchise.
Fable Legends was announced for the Xbox One.
Yeah, here at this Fantasia music evolved.
Uh, Far Cry 4 has been announced.
Uh, and for those of you that were into the episodic, uh,
Walking Dead series that tell tell games worked on.
Mm-hmm.
And we're currently in season two.
They've taken on another franchise.
A really game of thrones.
Oh, see if it's better than the last one.
Yeah, because the last game of thrones game is terrible.
Uh, Halo 5 Guardians was announced.
Halo, the Master Chief Collection, which I think is going to be Halo's one through four.
Okay.
Remaster for the Xbox One.
Uh, high real warriors, which is going to be a Zelda game that's very much like,
uh, Dynasty Warriors.
Just hack and slash all over the place.
Uh, Killer Instinct season two.
They're actually making that a free download on the Xbox One.
They've actually revitalized Killer Instinct.
Uh, Legend of Zelda for Wii U is all they're saying.
That's all they're calling it.
There's no release date.
Nothing.
They just announced it.
Uh, there will be another Mass Effect.
Mass Effect 4, but it will not feature our.
Starward Hero.
The, uh, the, the, the once in future Commander Shepherd.
Uh, there will be finally a sequel to Mirror's Edge.
Mirror's Edge, too.
Uh, the much anticipated and heavily hyped Mortal Kombat X, which I know you saw the trailer for.
Hell, it's awesome.
And you freaked out.
It looked awesome.
Uh, of course, the continuation of the Pokemon series, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.
Uh, puzzle heroes saga.
Which kind of made me kind of cringe a little bit.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Well, because it's done by the same people.
Uh, there.
There, there is a puzzle quest game now featuring the Marvel superheroes.
I've played it on the iPad.
And it's a buy everything.
Yes.
It makes me sad.
Uh, the Sims 4, Sonic Boom.
Uh, Star Wars Battlefront.
Is getting pushed again, which those of you that remember the, the glory days of the
PS2, the Battlefront series was mind blowing.
Uh, Super Smash Brothers was hyped again.
Uh, and, uh, of course, Tiger Woods 15 Ultra Street Fighter 4.
Uh, and WWE 2K 15 and World of Tanks.
All right.
The Matrix and we need Street Fighter.
All righty.
We and every show with a list and the Pendulum Swings back to Chad this week.
Uh, number one I pulled up on YouTube just because we had to.
Okay, good.
Well, I don't know if it's good.
But do you need this?
No, I've got it.
I'll give it over here.
Roll.
Well, right before I left the house, I was trying to come up with a topic for the, for the list.
And I was kind of struggling.
And then just by happenstance, I saw something come up in the, in, I don't know if it was on the Yahoo newsfeed or what.
That sir mix a lot.
Was, uh, I don't know if he was attending a show with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
Nice.
But he gets up on stage.
And with the Seattle Symphony.
You got that right.
I would love a recording of that.
Uh, I would too.
He pulls 50 women up on the stage with him.
And he goes, yeah, I can see the conductor going, oh my God.
And he busts into baby got back with a symphony orchestra in.
Now, I know we've had the collaborations in the past with Metallica with, uh, greatness with an M.
And, and, and kiss doing full symphony orchestra.
Well, no, I was still, it was one of those things that you would never.
I was glad they did got a thunder, but outside of that.
But I got to think and what are some of the other strange musical collaborations out there?
Some of these, I haven't even heard.
But just looking at it a lot.
I think I've got all but one of them.
So, so this will be an education for me as well.
I think number nine is the only one I don't have.
Just looking at them on paper.
I mean, let me see if I can pull it up there for you while you're okay.
Starting with number 10.
If you're ready.
I am. I'll have for you right now.
Can we wind from Moomu land?
Can we wind it and kale left?
Just to find an ancient.
I remember this being out when I was in the Navy.
And this is like you could walk into a club in the early 90s and not hear this.
That comes on.
When you didn't hear.
Oh, what was the other big hit with it?
The kale left it.
Three.
Three.
I am eternally, yeah.
Number nine.
I've got my pulled up on YouTube.
I've never heard this.
So I hope there's no language in it.
Oh, he can't really guarantee.
But we can always edit.
All right.
Oh, can we?
Okay.
I got six minutes long.
Have you ever heard of this?
Did you know?
No, I didn't know this existed.
Honestly.
Again, when I read this, I'm like,
What?
How did that happen?
And we have three more seconds.
And this ad will be done.
Thank you, YouTube.
This is a track called home.
There we go.
This must be new because the picture of them.
No, 2010.
Only thugs and harmony.
Do you know what?
Not bad.
Oh, there we go.
Oh, no, we were talking over it.
Okay.
But this is not that bad, sir.
Well, I'm wondering, is this truly a collaboration?
Or is this this?
Well, it says bone thugs and harmony featuring.
Okay.
So this is, I was updated.
Oh, I don't know what it was uploaded.
But this is updated in 2010.
So it's been a while.
Okay.
So it's featuring Phil Collins about as much as
as the BG's and their, and their, and their remake.
Oh, I can't even take it.
It's, it's not bad.
It's not terrible.
It's better to the cries, man.
So, okay.
So there's that.
That's called, it's just called home.
Some of these, some of these succeed on many levels.
And a lot of them fail on about as many levels.
Just like this one.
I don't know this fails because I dig this, man.
I don't know, man.
I, I know it probably hacked Robert.
Where the fuck?
Cashmere does not need PDD's help.
I'm sorry.
Well, but you got to think of where it came from, too.
He's on the Godzilla soundtrack.
Yeah.
And not to new one.
I mean, it's kind of hard not to kind of,
Bob your head a little bit.
Oh, bro.
He says he has one with the, the Gatlin brothers with a symphony.
The Gatlin brother.
So he says a chair.
That's becoming a really big, like, you know,
George Michaels knew his releases him,
singing with their symphony pack up.
So that's all kinds of coolness.
But number seven.
You, I've never heard this.
You've never heard this.
How much do I listen to?
This was everywhere for, like, a month and a half.
How much do I listen to either one of these guys?
I can't even carry Okey version of this, too.
Nelly and Tim LaGrosse.
This was a huge hit.
It's not a bad song.
It's not a good song.
Then he goes, oh, yeah.
I go home to that.
So I'm good.
Oh, Tim LaGrosse.
Yeah.
I do have this next one.
I think I had it, but I do have it.
Yeah.
It's not a bad song.
It's a little metal for me, but it's not bad.
This one or the next one.
Okay.
The next one is, like,
fucking a cold water in your face.
Well, you don't why this happened.
Yeah.
I mean, this was spin control of nothing else.
We can't really play much of it, but it's M&M and Elton John doing Stan.
Kind of off whenever you feel like you have to.
Well, this is it's live.
I think I don't know this is in the VMAs.
But yeah, this is, and then this is Elton John playing the piano.
And then he sings the chorus.
So let's just go ahead and move on.
Number five.
You can't say that you don't like this.
I do.
Oh, I do.
But to me, it was so weird for Tom Jones and Art of Noise to do a cover of a song that was
only a year or two old at the time.
At the most.
Because I wanted, because kids came out,
because princely released kiss in 86.
And I want to say this came out in 88.
Yep.
My senior year.
I was like, wow, that was fast.
My favorite was it goes,
I think I want to dance now.
And then all honesty.
Yeah.
I'm so kidding.
And all honesty.
You can think that all you want to tell.
This video is Roger than Prince's video is the original.
I've never seen this go.
Dear God, we're going to have to cover up some kids face
as watching this thing.
I'm also fan of this next one.
I don't have that version.
I have the original.
That's fine.
I don't know why I don't have that one.
You should?
I don't.
I just have this one.
Because I know it was on both devgium compilation.
It's from the devgium.
It's just them.
Well, I've got an online and I got it from you.
So.
Devrol.
Let my brother know once again.
Back is the incredible.
So Chuck D has one of the greatest hip hop MC voices of all time.
He's he will probably go down here.
He's my favorite rapper.
He's a drama kid.
We're kidding.
That's just you know.
It's it's a really close race for him and pop with them and amthrax.
So great.
Wouldn't think it would work.
But it does.
Well, and then after that,
I don't have the next song.
So we'll just you don't actually.
I could probably pull it back.
Hold on.
Because we'll let this talk.
What does go.
We have to talk on top of it because I don't think this is the edited version.
Well, I don't know.
So.
Okay, I'll fade that right along with you.
Those are the next one.
But you know, bring the noise.
One of the great.
I mean,
uh,
didn't even need help.
But just for the fact that you added that extra layer of.
And a lot of people credit that for starting the whole limp biscuit movement.
And just starting the speed metal.
You just kind of hard to argue that.
Okay, I mean, so we don't have another commercial to play here.
Looks like we're going to be okay.
Here you go.
Thank you, YouTube.
Like when this starts you're like,
Okay, I'm kind of in.
Uh-huh.
Because this was the theme to quantum of solace.
Right.
And then it just falls apart.
And I like both of these artists.
And Jack White will do a very weird do it on you in a heart beat.
Where it'll end anybody.
Uh, that was.
Believe me.
I was wrestling.
We both do this her album.
Now, who, you know, I've actually got this album.
And I can't remember who Nora Jones did to do it album with.
It's like they did nothing,
but Everley Brothers covers.
I've looked at it.
It's called Forever Lee.
I've got it.
And I can't remember who she does that all to do.
It's with.
But this is another way to die.
At least you can use Jack White.
Terrible.
It starts out so strong.
And then it just.
It starts out like I classic Bond theme.
And it just.
Yeah, it's completely collapsed apart.
But then you've got this one.
And number two, which I think pretty much.
Is they did not want to do it?
No.
Run DMC just wanted to sample.
Jay wanted to use the beat.
They didn't want to hear us with involved in all.
And the record come.
It was like, look.
Their careers kind of waning.
And it revitalized.
Without a doubt.
I mean, I don't.
May the aerosmith would be where they are now.
But it would take another shot in the arm to do it.
Yeah.
This was the shot in the arm they needed.
Walk this way.
And number one, I had to get from YouTube.
I was just going to play something else.
But it's like, you kind of have to play the actual song.
So you can hear just the.
What in the name of all things and good and holy happened here.
And as bad as the song is, the videos even worse.
And it pains me because I love both of these guys.
Well, one of them is a career.
I don't really love as much.
Yes.
That's Eddie Murphy.
Is it hurting your eyes to watch this recipe?
It's really funny.
They see the laugh.
And let them Eddie with the John Lennon's sunglasses and the.
And the high top Jerry curl and the wife feeder.
Oh.
The fact that he agreed to sing that life.
That life.
Let's have fun.
And poor Michael trying to sell it.
He's trying to sell it so much.
I mean, these two working together on a song.
To me was about as unlikely as Eminem and John working on a song together.
After as much trash as Eddie talked about Michael and everything.
And yes, kids, the name of the song is what's up with you.
And it is spelled as one word.
Yeah.
W.
W.
W.
W.
W.
B.
My daughter probably killed me for putting this song on a list.
Out of the paired, by something.
My daughter probably killed me for putting this song on a list.
That I'm okay with this thing.
Pretty close, really good.
You're not working.
You're not working.
Now.
I'm okay now, as long as you don't play.
I know it's just boogie to play. I don't have the carry guys. I'm afraid
I just love this video because Rick James thinks this is going to be the greatest single of all when Eddie hits that long note
And he's just the yellow very dumb. He's like do you love Larry Graham like I love Larry Graham look on his face. There's those cornroach is flying
out of the park, Eddie
