televis
It is 702 on the East Coast.
It is 402 on the West Coast.
It is Sunday, March the 23rd in the year of our Lord, 2014.
It is season 4, episode 36, episode 2, 12, numerically.
If you roll that way, I'm not here to judge you.
The clubhouse is live on the air.
We appreciate each and every one of you no matter how you listen, whether you're listening
live on you stream, whether you're listening on our archive, maybe you subscribe
on iTunes, maybe you do a combination therein.
We just appreciate you listening.
My name is Robin, I've got long sleeves on again.
I just, this could be the craziest late winter early spring that I've spent here in the
great state of Texas.
I don't know about anybody else in this studio, but let's find out, joining me across the
desk as he tends to do from time to time, is a man who, along with me, will be embarking
on a very special mission here in about 12 days.
Basically if you miss the show last week, we'll talk about it here in just a little while.
The first half of April is going to be insane for myself and this man, he is looking forward
to this.
Yeah, that's going to be interesting.
What did we say about winter last week in reference to the old Game of Thrones tagline?
Winter is, winter is coming and going and coming and going and coming and going.
How do the conclusion?
Winter is getting a friend again.
In the third chair tonight, a recent friend of the show, but I got a feel like I've known
for years.
He's just one of those cats that when you talk to him, you just feel like you've talked
to every day since you were a kid.
Quality individual and a guy who were proud to have back on the show, he has Dave Scott
welcome back sir.
Thank you very much.
I will not debate that sir.
I feel like I've known you since high school.
I'm ready to rock out well.
You can't get it.
You're emergency break applied already.
We've gotten some problems in the chat room.
I'm not sure what's going on.
So if you guys are here, we're acknowledging the chat room.
Okay, it's good.
Russ is back up and we want to send a shout out to Russ and you've been a little out of
the loop sir.
This is not news to anybody.
You missed out giving me some very important news this past week that I learned
on Facebook saw a picture of Russ and his new lady friend.
Oh, they're on the Facebook.
So well done sir.
He said his bracket is shot.
We're going to talk about that here.
It's just bracket isn't shot.
Oh and another two more big upsets today.
A number one seed has completely gotten themselves out of the tournament.
Yep.
I was watching.
Dawn is here as well.
I want to thank Dawn for hanging out with us this last couple of weeks.
He's been instrumental in some great things we've got going on, but we start every show
with corrections.
The one year I don't do a bracket, there's probably better serve for not doing
one.
One of them I might have picked, but a couple of them there's no way.
Well I know the one that I know which one you definitely would have picked.
That's still in a shout out to the state of Ohio.
That's all I'm just I'm still stunned by Dayton that still I know I'm just saying
that still stuns me that they still got their biggest rival.
Sweet 16.
That'll let me do brackets anymore.
I just coloring like figures and men and seniors and I'm taking the Gotham Knights
and the Final Four.
I still want one of those jerseys.
And I found the Amazon has a Batman bowling ball that I want.
I actually saw that at Jupiter bowling lanes.
Did you really?
Yeah.
I saw one somewhere on a TV show and I was like, I wonder if that's really a thing.
I looked at the Amazon.
They glow in the dark and everything and my wife was like, no.
They're not cheap.
Yeah.
I was like 120 bucks.
Yeah.
But I couldn't remember the weight of the bowling ball I tend to use so I didn't want
to try to book it.
It's like I have to go back bowling so I can remember.
I just said Jupiter bowling just right up the street for me.
The fair point.
There's no shenanigans.
There's not that far from here.
But Jupiter's a lot closer.
Yeah.
No.
I don't take so.
Corrections from last week.
I think we were pretty clean.
I mean, I didn't need anything.
Other than the weather.
No.
That wasn't our fault.
Let us get going with a little bit of nascore.
We were in California this weekend.
Well, we weren't.
Well, collectively the nascar kids were in California at the auto clubs.
Speedway, oddly enough for the auto club 400.
Imagine that.
We do have your official results.
The race ended fair.
We probably within the last hour and a half because I was looking as I was doing show
prep and they were still racing.
So here are your finishers.
Ooh, I'm looking at them scrolling.
I'm not seeing something.
Oh, there he is.
The other hard junior has his first non top 10 finish of the year as he comes in
up.
Well, number 10, number 99, Carl back flip Edwards in the Ford.
He started in that ninth place.
Paul, yes, my family does own the chain of hardware stores manard in ninth place.
Number 8, another name that we don't get to say enough on this show because it's fun
to say in the number 47 Chevrolet AJ Almondinger.
I feel like I want to order that in a deli.
It sounds like a, it sounds like ice cream sandwich or something.
In seventh place, Brian Vickers and I don't think his, was it Vickers like a food
brand of some form like pickles or something?
That's Vix.
No, that's that's a vapor.
That's classic.
That's a classic.
There's a Vickers something in sixth place, Jamie McMurrey.
In fifth place, in the number 14 Chevrolet, the first time we get to do this this season,
a guy we like to call.
Small.
I haven't 20 Stewart fourth place Matt Kenseth in the number 20 Toyota.
Number 41 Chevrolet belongs to Kurt Bush.
He is in third place.
The silver medal goes to Kyle Larson.
Wasn't he a green laner at one point?
It's Kyle Reiner never mind.
Number 42 and winning.
So the Bush Brothers finish bronze and gold as Kyle wins the race in the number 18 Toyota.
We're in California and IA today.
So next Sunday, we continue on because you know we're two weeks away from the Texas
race.
The duck commander 500 and that is when we will officially start tracking points.
But next week, we go to Martin'sville for the STP 500.
Not the band that used to have Scott Wyland.
This is an oil product.
So.
And that'll be on your local Fox affiliate.
I was having a spent the day with friends of the show the Mars yesterday.
Had a greatness of flood rockers for lunch.
And well, that Fox has your NASCAR covered.
I'm not lying to you, brother.
Of course.
That box sports one.
They are NASCAR intensive on Saturdays.
Just because since CBS seems to dominate March madness or although AESPN has the women's
tournament, they're showing that right now as well.
But I'll tell you, a box got you covered.
So if you're a NASCAR fan, you better make sure you get that box sports one hooked up.
I was trying to listen to NC AA stuff on the way over here.
But I couldn't find a radio station that was carrying it.
Uh, local station that ticked it wasn't?
Nope.
Really.
I tried to do that too, but then I realized they didn't care.
Your lovely wife who was a British assistant is in the chat room.
Hello, dear.
Kind of got getting the crowd back together.
We've been having to kind of struggle with people and schedules.
Try to get Charlotte on tonight, but she's got plans.
We have to get back in the studio.
Tell me a little bit.
Talk to her a little bit today.
She's doing okay.
So let us move on.
Remember, we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's go to television headlines.
And we start with another Viacone deos.
This came down early this morning.
Yeah, I was a wee bit shocked.
You may not know the name, but you know the actor.
He's appeared in over a hundred films television series in plays.
I know the the main thing most people would probably know him from was probably independent today.
His name is James Reborn.
He was just it turns 65 in September.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Thank you.
A city very near and dear to Dave's heart.
The son of an industrial engineer and a salesman.
He was of German descent, moved to Anderson, Indiana as a child and graduated from
Madison, Madison Heights High School.
He was a devout Lutheran.
He went to Whittenburg University in Springfield, Ohio, where he majored in political science.
He played Peter Latham in 40 carats in Salt Lake City in the 1970s.
I love how they described this on Wikipedia.
He is known both for playing Waspy stereo types, lawyers, politicians, doctors and
military.
That is a direct quote.
Dances vickers is a food equipment company kind of like Hobart for restaurant dishwash.
Okay.
Another vickers is a hydraulic company.
That's why he's the official fact checker of this show.
He keeps our corrections way back later using me and several roles on television.
He was on guiding light from 1983 to 1985.
He was also on as the world turns from 1980 to 1991.
This guy, he's one of those guys that you've seen him in a billion things.
He had recurring roles on a white collar, which I think we're going to talk about here in just a minute.
And he was also on homeland.
That'd be fairly recent, then.
He was also in the Mike Burbigli, a sleepwalk with me movie, which you know I'm a big fan of
Burbig's.
And they're doing his, they've just released his newest one-man show on the Netflix called
My Girlfriend's boyfriend.
Very funny.
I've heard the bit before, very, very funny.
My girlfriend's boyfriend.
Yes.
He does a whole, it comes from an old secret public journal that he did years ago.
He turned it into a one-man show.
Mike Burbigli, a great comedian.
If you haven't seen sleepwalk with me, it's based on one of his one-man shows.
That's very, very funny.
But James Rebar, you will be Mr.
Could not be more excited about this next story.
If you know me, you know me, you know me, huge fan of community.
Allison Brie, how you doing?
Allison Brie, are you kidding me?
I don't know, you're not going to just say, how you do it.
You're just hot.
She's hot, I'm gonna say it.
I was just going to let it go.
This past week, and I haven't watched this past week's episode yet, but they did a, uh,
a Dungeons & Dragons themed episode.
They've already done an episode this year where they did a tribute to David Fincher,
which was very, very funny.
Well, now they're doing an episode where they're lampooning the animated GI Joe series.
They did a David Fincher parody.
Yes.
How high have did you had to crank the brightness and contrast?
Yes, and that, there, a lot of rain.
Actually, a lot of dark colors, a lot of a lot of angles, a lot of odd angles.
Very, I can't wait to watch this.
I saw a couple of stills where they, they've actually got the characters from the show
that as GI Joe characters, Lord.
You know, Allison Brie is Scarlet, of course.
You bet Nicole Brown is Lady Jay.
So this is hand-drawn anime?
Yes.
So this is actually like GI Joe.
Yes.
But it's going to be a community episode.
I don't know what the plot of the episode is, but, and, and,
taking bets if they close it with and knowing is half the battle.
Oh, you know that's going to happen.
You know that's going to happen.
Does Duke Dynion and Karthus?
Only if Don Johnson shows up.
That movie was terrible.
That anecdote that animated movie was pretty good.
The weather, Michigan.
Really?
I mean, I know it's, you have to suspend this belief a lot in that.
But that was a little more.
Although I was not exact.
Zartan is a character as a fan of, but it was one of those.
That was, that, and then Transformers were back to back where I lived on week
afternoons and it was just a good time.
Interesting that they both killed off the main character in the film.
It's real.
That's your solution.
Rotomus Prime.
And it's interesting.
Yeah, yes.
But only one of them had the touch.
So, uh, yes.
That moment when you watch Boogie Nights and you go,
that's the movie is the Transformers.
I was so gonna watch it.
Why do I know this song?
Where have I heard, or, or Brandon Frost?
You know,
friend of the show, he's stable to have song for a long time.
USA has renewed white collar for it.
It's season six, but only these six episodes never watched an episode.
But has, does have the dude that was in Chuck?
Only only for six episodes and then it's done.
No, they're just saying they've just renewed it for a sixth season.
Oh, okay.
The psych finale is any day now.
That shows done.
Friend, friend of the show, the sheathies.
That's one of their favorite shows.
Last comic standing will return on May 22nd
after a four-year hiatus.
Your judges will be comedian Russell Peters, very funny.
Can you and I every way in?
So, if you're wondering where he is.
And Roseanne!
So, there's that in case you're wondering that one.
And it will be, oh no, she's been making some appearances recently.
And it will be hosted by JB Smooth, who is currently featured on the CBS Show
of the Miller's very funny mail.
I just, I don't know.
That show really lost me the last couple of seasons.
I was gonna ask you, when was the last time you really
watched every episode of the show?
It just, those last couple of seasons were pretty pretty.
Birthday, birthday, birthday rough.
Like with every reality show, I watched the first season and then I'm done.
I'm, I'm one episode behind right now on Survivor.
I haven't watched this past week's episode.
Because I just watched the Goldbergs.
So, now I'm up to last Wednesday.
I can't believe that show is still even on.
This season's really, I'm struggling.
I'm really struggling with this season.
Ah, it's, it's pretty bad.
And even, even, propcessive going,
ugh, because he's not an executive producer on that show.
Let us move on.
Do P.O.I. P.O.I. is a segment we do on the show since we're a person of interest, where we take
a person or an entity, and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
I had P.O.I. last week, which means Chad has P.O.I this week.
Go! A lot there and double dog dare anybody to debate the greatness of the subject of this week's
P.O.I.
I know you won't.
Oh, please.
And the inspiration from it came from the nonstop viewing of, uh, of, um, NCAA tournament action,
because they always, apparently capital one is a major major sponsor.
And since we had to replace our, uh, spokesman who was constantly putting his foot in his mouth,
Mr. Alek Baldwin was somebody that I, it's, you want admire.
You know, it's, you know, it's a key to it. I'll call them personages and whisper everything.
Hello.
Well, I guess the key to impersonating the guy that we're profiling here is to scream every,
scream and curse. Yes.
How a scream and curse. Yes.
At his daughter.
The greatness that is Samuel L. Jackson.
Now, do you know, does this come from the recent interview he did?
Do you not know about this? No.
He recently did an interview with Good Day as Good Day or L.A. or Good Morning, L.A.
one of those morning L.A. shows with this anchor who's basically soup fodder. Like this guy
is an absolute debug of the highest. Okay.
And he mentioned the matrix movies. Oh, no.
And the matrix commercial, the matrix commercial from the Super Bowl. Okay. And same was like,
I'm not lower. It's this burn.
And took this guy to task.
The whole rest of the interview was just right in this guy like a government mule, just,
well, you know, maybe because I'm, I was lower, fish burn.
My heat and then Dave reminded me of he came over that apparently he now has a t-shirt that says,
I'm not Lawrence Fishgirl.
You, after the show YouTube, YouTube it because it's absolute brilliance because this guy is so
smug and Sam just takes him to task and it's brilliant.
They keep trying to move the interview on and Sam just keeps killing him.
Oh, no. Are you not taking it? Yeah. He's not joking. This is genius.
Well, going into a little bit of the backstory of Sam. He was born in Washington, D.C.
Group has an only child in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His father was barely involved in his life.
He passed away from alcoholism very early on. Sam only met his father twice in his entire life.
Uh, was raised by his mother, who was a factor worker and later a supplies buyer for a mental
institution and by his maternal grandparents and extended family. Uh, he attended several segregated
schools graduated from Riverside High School in Chattanooga, uh, played the French horn
and the trumpet in the school orchestra Samuel L. Jackson plays the French horn of the love of
God. You can say otherwise. Uh, during childhood, he had a stuttering problem. Kind of reminds me of
James Old Jones. Uh, but he conquered it by developing an affinity for the use of a certain word
in his vocabulary that is pretty much becomes synonymous with his person. One of the trivia bits on
IMDB is what is the L-san for? None of your effin businesses. Uh, initially intent on pursuing
a degree in marine biology, which I think is kind of ironic considering his role in deep
Lucy. Uh, he attended more house college in Atlanta, Georgia. And then after joining a local
acting troupe to earn extra points in a class, he found his interest in acting and he switched his
major. Uh, he was actually in attendance at the funeral of Martin Luther King Jr. as an usher.
Yeah, that was briefly suspended in 1969 for more house college after taking hostage several
members of the board of trustees including the father of Dr. Martin Luther King during a
protest of the failure of the university that have black trustees or black studies program.
So, all, you know, all those great things and then oops, and I want, I want you to go back
to your training with a certain company that you and I both worked for. Uh-huh.
There's something a big piece of trivia that you have not said so far. I'm getting to it.
Okay, so I guess you're. Um, and I was quite surprised in a rice-saw who he had surpassed
to take that title. Um, not the one I was looking for, but okay.
Oh, I thought you were talking about the, the actor with the highest grossing film total of all time.
Now, that is him, but who did he pass? The Frank Wilker. Wow.
Now, I was talking about the fact that he was actually built Cosby's camera stand in during the
college. Oh, I told you forgot about that. Do you story? Uh, but you talk about a guy who
was pretty much very Morgan Freeman Robert Downey Jr. like where they were pretty much staring
a life of nothingness in the face due to drug addiction. Oh, yeah. They were completely, you know,
this guy was completely losing himself to drug addiction. And even this is even after,
he was, yeah, he went to rehab like two weeks before he played a drug in general.
Mm-hmm. I mean, you know, this is after coming to America, uh, the first thing I saw him in,
I can, that I can recall, uh, followed shortly thereafter by his appearances is Uncle Gus in Eddie Murphy's
Raw with the, I love that dude who line is this is infamous line. I do love that dude.
Uh, but then he, you know, he hooked up with Spike Lee and he went up in school days, do the right thing.
Um, played a minor role in good fellas is a real life mafia associate stacks Edwards.
Uh, and then the stand in for the cause be show.
Uh, but that's whenever his, uh, after at the end of all that, as whenever his drug addiction had really
gotten bad. As the rare distinction of having played characters that have been eaten by both a shark
and a dinosaur. I mean, who puts that in there? This is true, though. This is very true.
Um, and, and you, you look back on that. Does Sam even take that role now?
Not, yes, not, yes, he does. No, I have four words for you. Snakes on a plane.
But he wouldn't play that geeky, dorky guy, which is basically what he was playing in Jurassic Park.
He might play Robert Moldoon. He might play the game base films for the pleasure he gets out of acting
regardless of how the film turns out. That's exactly what I heard Sam's just.
Ham Jackson does not say no to roles. He takes pretty much everything that comes from him.
He's become the Michael Caine of this generation because Michael Caine seemed like he was an
everything in the 80s. But you'll see the reason Michael Caine got so much work. I don't know if you know this.
Michael Caine was real simple. Pay me a million dollars and I'll do your movie.
That was it. That explains jobs the revenge. That was it. That was his thing. Pay me a million
dollars and I'll do your film. You look at the, you look at why he got so much work because he
wasn't real. Hi, man. You look at the franchises. This guy's been involved in a small wonder why he's
gotten that title of film total champion. Heck, the Star Wars films. The Jurassic Park franchise.
The jury of the can film festival were so impressed with his performance in Jungle Fever
that they decided to create the award for best supporting actor in that year honoring him. To
date, he's the only actor to receive such an honor. Really?
The internet says it. I believe it. Oh, really? Because I don't, I think I don't
was Earl Flynn. What? Wow. What kind of scene is it where he's like? I guess he actually credits
the longest good night as one of his favorite films. So that pretty much supports my argument.
It does. I like that film. It was terrible. Oh, no. I got a disagree with you. It was terrible.
There's, there's a scene in that that does one of my all-time favorite scenes in film. Originally
intended to become a marine biologist. Yeah. That was just said earlier. That's why I said it's
ironic considering in the role he had in deep blue sea. I, there's, you can't debate the greatness
of the dude. No. I mean, he seems like the guy that if you ran into him in public, he'd be like,
let me buy you a beer. Oh, man. I saw, um, every now and then I catch myself and don't judge me.
Every now and then I catch myself watching TMZ and they have a tour bus that goes around town
where you could just sight stars in the wild and he pulls up alongside the bus. I bet you're
the most famous person you've seen all day. Did they? Yeah. Everybody's freaking out of like,
that just he seems like such a cool guy. You know, you're a bad dude when Marvel comics
redesigns a major character around and make your appear and make no qualm about it. When the
ultimate universe was created, they said, we are basic Nick Fury on Sam Jackson. They called him and
said, are you okay with this? He's like, what do you think? Well, when they did his date,
Dave and I were watching the assembling the Marvel universe thing and they said for his
cameo in, uh, in the first Iron Man that they brought him in under the cover of darkness and
took him in a regular car, completely tended to the set for him to film like they thought they could
keep this thing under wraps. There's like, yeah, by the next day. But I am still excited that he's
still talking about producing a live action film of Afro Samurai. Let this happen. And
he is apparently assuming the role of show enough in a remake of a last dragon.
I'm torn on that. Why? On one hand, that'd be greatness. But too, do we need to remake the last dragon?
Why not? We're making everything else. Only if the barge reforms for that song. Yeah.
Well, it was the other big song off that soundtrack because there was a couple of them.
There were two big songs off of that soundtrack. I remember. I know the song that vanity
did what didn't know where. That's what she left people raining. I would say you could,
you could pretty much sum up vanity's career. That one. She thought her, her, her worth was a lot
higher than it really was. What in the world? This is that game that you always say, what in the world
every time the series, the commercial comes out. Because it looked almost like an ad for
they promote the crap out of it on Facebook. I'll tell you that much. Well, of course,
because it's a Facebook game. But it's not. No, I'm just saying it was designed for Facebook.
But I don't think anybody's going to debate the greatness. There's no way.
There is absolutely no. Because he's one of those guys. He looks like the guy that you'd
hang out with that just happens to be famous. Okay, you know, here's where it sums up.
This is for all the films in his career where he's featured as a leading actor or supporting
co-star. His films have grossed a total of 2.81 to 4.91 billion at the North American box office.
Look, I saw a Joe Peshie in a sunrise bagels in Lacy Downship, New Jersey.
I was standing right behind him. I was too afraid to say a word to him.
If I said a word to Samuel L. Jackson, he would own me just like he did that report.
I would wet my pants and from the store. Ha, what do you mean? Ha, excuse me,
sir, do you know what it is? Excuse me, sir. Do you know who you are? I'm just wondering.
Hey, hi, I can't. Say hi, I can't. I'm double there.
So great. And then, and the to me no matter what he does, I will always go back to
Yes, that's that was always. I mean, before Paul fiction, he was, he was that
chameleon type guy that could pretty much do any. I'm a Mushroom Crowley. And I'm ready to
after a Quentin Tarantino taking him on and giving him that role was probably the best thing
to happen to his career because it pretty much created. But you know, who also always beat
to me, the guy to try to rob McDonald's and coming to America. And Eddie Murphy beat him up in
my hand. I shall have to thrash you. And I love the TV and it forgets you, man. Yeah, he said that.
I love that we're on the super clean podcast that we can't say what I know is killing me.
All right, let's go on to see a little bit of NHL talk. Remember visit our website,
www dot the clubhouse podcast dot com. Got some brand new reviews up there for you. Also,
subscribe to this show on iTunes so you can get to exclusives. Got a couple out there for you this
past week. Sir, are you okay? I just got to the bottom of the article where he was comparing his
character Steven in in in in in Django and Jane to Clarence Thomas. He said I have the same moral
compasses. Clarence Thomas. You see, I have the same moral compass as Clarence Carter. And it will be
okay. God NHL. We're actually going to give you two different forms of standing this week because
it is almost April, which means it is almost playoff time for both hockey and basketball.
But we're going to start with your current standings in the eastern conference at Lannick
Division at Lannick Division. What? Why not? The Atlantis Division. We have the
list of vision. The Buffalo Subraise. Would you like to play America's favorite game right now? Is
it time? How far out of first place are the Buffalo Sabers? So it's not our favorite game.
It's a revision of it. What it's going to have to because actually Columbus is too
and pretty well. Chad, how far out of first place, point point wise, are the Buffalo Subraise?
23 points. 23 points, Dave.
The Buffalo Subraise. It's not like bidding $1. Our currently have a record of 242 and 8.
They've won one straight. Once they have 48 points.
Boston who is currently leading the Atlantic Division, who has clinched a playoff spot,
who have won 12 straight by the way. Buffalo is behind Boston.
By 55 points, even close.
Chad. Don says I can't read what's actually written in here for the last dragon thing.
7th heaven by Vanity and give me your love by Alfie Silas.
Not yet. The Florida Panthers are 12 points ahead of Buffalo.
Oterua is 9 points ahead of them. Detroit middle of the pack with 79 points.
Toronto is 1 point better than them. The Montreal Canadian. They have 85 points. They're a 1 point
behind Tampa Bay. But again, Tampa Bay is 17 points back on Boston right now.
In the Miss Revolent Division, the New York Islanders 63 points. They are 34 points out of
first place right now. Carolina with 71 New Jersey 2 points better than them, which makes Chad
happy that they're 6 out of 8. Columbus, 5 points better than them. But they're 1 point behind the
Washington camp. The New York Rangers 82 points are 1 point behind the Philadelphia Flyers. But
Philadelphia is still 14 points behind Pittsburgh after winning 5 straight. But Pittsburgh came out
of the date strong. I mean, they just set the pace. And they're just kind of just we're getting
to the playoffs. We're going to be fine in the western conference. The central division of
it conference that doesn't have an Easter or West. The Nashville predators are 33 points out of
first place right now. There are 3 points behind the Winnipeg Jets. Your Dallas stars 77 points
are 5th in the division. But they're still trying to compete for that 8 playoff spot right now.
They're not out of it yet. Actually, watch a little hockey this week. Did you? Yeah,
don't know. I watched a little bit of the stars penguins game. And then we had to go to screening.
And then we found out the stars lost 5 to 1. The Minnesota Wild is 6 points ahead of Dallas.
But they are 11 points behind Colorado. The Chicago Blackhawks. Even though they've won
2 straight, they are still 6 points behind the St. Louis Blues who have clinched a playoff spot
in the Pacific division. The Edmonton Oilers are 41 points out of first place. Calgary is 6 points
better than them. Vancouver was 74 or 5 behind Phoenix. The LA Kings are 11 points behind Anaheim.
Anaheim is only 3 points behind San Jose for the division lead and they've lost 2 straight.
If the playoff started today in the Eastern Conference, you've got kind of a log jam for 8
place because you've got New Jersey Columbus Detroit and Washington all within about 4 or 5 points
of each other. But right now, the Detroit and Washington are tied for the 8 spot.
7th would be Toronto, then the Rangers, then Philly, Montreal, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and of course
Boston, who's running away with a dog on thing. The Pittsburgh Penguins are 6 points behind
Boston. So think about the fact that Boston is 12 straight. Good night. In the western
conference, your Dallas stars are 2 points behind Phoenix for the 8th spot. So this thing is
over by any stretch. They might that beeping sound you hear may be Dallas backing into the playoffs.
So you have Phoenix, then Minnesota Los Angeles, Colorado, Chicago, Anaheim, San Jose.
But San Jose, they're within 3 points of St. Louis. So that top seat in the western
conference is still up for grabs. Nobody doesn't seem like anybody's really safe in this whole
chick's. It's been a heck of a season. It really, truly has.
You are listening to the clubhouse. We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Every Sunday night, 7 Eastern for Pacific. And let me tell you something brother.
14 days. We are two weeks away from the showcased of the Immortals.
That's hard to believe it's that close. I did this six weeks is kind of flown for me actually.
WrestleMania 32 weeks from tonight. We will be at Fox and Hound in our early for the show
because WrestleMania starts in our early. And WWE is going to be starting earlier than us.
So we're going to talk about that in wrestling talk. We might have been having a little
wrestling mania overload that day. But we're going to say that for wrestling talk because right now
it's time for music talk. Let's take a sip of my tasty beverage.
Are you a fan of the Rihanna? Are you a fan of the M&M? Do you like peanut butter? Do you like
John Goodman? Would you see a movie about peanut butter starring John Goodman? Not a fan of
M&M and Rihanna were doing the music for it. M&M and Rihanna touring together this summer.
I'm a monster tour. Wow, I would avoid this like the plane. I am not standing in line
currently for that. Oh, kidding. God. Now I will say them the song they played of his
for the Undertaker this past week on Raw. Not a bad little tune. I've heard worse.
I haven't heard anything about her. I care about in the last four or five years. That the
only girl in the world's probably the last good song I first liked. But they're about
very popular with the kids at the clothes in the hair and they're touring together.
He may have to have mortgage or house to get tickets, but you know, and coming from the
department of didn't think I'd see that in the news this week and a rest warrant has been issued
for an artist. As we take the tempo and bring it to a screeching halt. From an artist who always
looks like she's about ready to take a nap. He felt woman alone. Tell me I'm lying. I love
a needle baker. Don't get me wrong, but she was like, I was like, I'm tired. That's like,
it just looks like she's leaning back in a chair and listening to her own album.
Well, what is it? And not that that's bad. She's got a listen. Just listen.
Would your eyes be wide open or something in that? No, you're just like, you start swaying at a certain
point. Yeah. No, my, my fingers would be reaching for the radio buttons. I love this stuff.
Apparently, I need a baker owes a construction company about 15 grand for work being done on
her gross point Michigan home. And the, the company said, like, we don't want it to go to jail.
We just wanted a pace. I would have thought she'd be living in gross point Michigan.
Great. She just doesn't. Gross point point. She just doesn't strike me as a gross point
resident. Isn't 15 grand for Anita Baker just kind of a layup? You would think and well play, sir.
That's just kind of, that's a way up. It's an easy thing. I mean, she's got royalties.
Ready checked before this hits the news. Yeah. Or write a check before you hit the road. I mean,
I'm sure you're working the casino circuit somewhere, which apparently the casino circuit has
become a thing. Like, really is, I saw Rob Tom. He's, I'm going to say Rob,
Diana Ross can be playing at the Choctaw. How many billboards have we seen for Morris day in the
way? I want to address something here. The Diana Ross billboards for her being at Choctaw,
whatever she's going to be. It's a Choctaw. It's 30 year old. Oh, you ain't lying. You ain't lying.
Oh, it does not look like that. Is that anything like, oh, I don't know the ad for share coming
back to town that I saw where they were using nothing, but turn back time video footage.
Is there anybody that wants to turn back time? It's share. She's actually really, really trying.
Oh, I think our son is trying to chas. I think she might be the next. I think she might be the next
terminator. He, she is, whatever. Remind me after the show. After the show, just go Rob,
tell me about the Tim Kavanaugh, Bono joke. Okay. That's all I'm saying. It is because you know Tim
Kavanaugh. He doesn't really work blue much, but this joke could be a piece of comedic brilliance
by him. You know, I love this in Kavanaugh. I don't know. I got some greatness from Bob Zayney last night
on an NBC speech. I was killing Bob Zayney. You were the first person I thought of when I heard it.
I do love Bob Zayney to Zayney report. And the black keys they have announced via Mike Tyson's Twitter
feed. I don't know exactly how this happened, but apparently they used Mike Tyson's Twitter feed to
promote their new album called Turn Blue. Okay, don't get on that. Mike Tyson, RPR firm right now.
That really happened. That was a thing. I saw two different reports. I'm not saying it didn't happen,
but I'm saying maybe we need to pursue this option. Why not? Could Mike Tyson to plug the show?
Basically, you really need to listen to these guys. I'm sorry, Mike. We don't understand what you think.
Can you if you would listen, you'd know. Did I tell you I watched the his one man show on HBO?
Who? Oh, yeah. Yeah. That is fantastic. You really want to seem the way Mike Tyson sees the world. No,
Brother watch that thing. No, I really don't. He did a great job. He really truly did.
I know. He swed it almost as bad as Tony Robbins did in that special we watched.
That's when you need to watch. What was it called? Not Tony Robbins.
People think of on time on Tony Robbins the motivational speaker. There's a comedian named Tony Robbins.
Who is genius. He comes out in this like a leather, a swayed vest and a shirt and a hat.
And by 15 minutes, he swed it through all three. But it's it's because he's so animated hilarious.
Who's out there by a knife?
Mike, Mike, we can actually play that. We can offer it. Who's on a motorcycle?
New music in places where you get new music from this week.
Holding two puppies on his back.
He talks about his passport. So I'm just gonna be able to do puppies because he's crazy.
Because I'm different. Just be different.
And know the poster companies did not laugh at me when I had my foot by poster praying.
How hard did they let it?
Asia. Asia is back with an album called Gravity Toss. So right next to Europe.
That'd be funny if you're open a story.
That's a tour, sir.
That's a tour.
America America is the opening act.
They were just here.
But three weeks ago, a mirror in Mesquite.
Oh, God.
Played over at the rodeo.
All right, great to send you these a change or name to Australia or Antarctica or something.
We're gonna be pengea.
You know, you call it, that's what you call the tour.
You call the tour, you call the tour, you see it tour.
I'm God. Yes, I am a genius.
Very mental releases in New album called Night Songs this week,
which is probably the best way to see him is in the dark.
Because that plastic surgery's got a horribly badly.
Not on a smokey Robinson, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers level,
but man, he's in the ballpark.
I'd like to see the world through Barry Manlow's eyes.
No, because how do apparently he can't see the world through his eyes either.
New album from the least thing about this band.
Oh, God.
Oh, God.
I'm sorry.
What she looks like a mess nowadays.
What now is he would ask it?
No, he was not that bad back in the 80s.
Are you serious?
He wasn't that bad.
Well, I mean, I'll give Dave this.
In this era, it was at least stomachable to see him on TV.
Exactly.
He looked great by drag queen standards.
In other words, we got, we got to the crying game.
And that was church at that point.
And he looked like somebody had broken an ink filled egg over his head.
And but boy George with his Mark Henry tribute album called,
This is what I do apparently.
You're welcome.
He already knew what he did.
Ha ha ha ha.
A group for the kids at the close in the hair.
Carmen K-A-R-M-I-N releases pulses.
And a new album from this young lady.
She's very tiny.
Shakira.
Something you're playing at death punk song.
Well, this is her.
This is she will.
Pistaca track.
But she doesn't see even this one where she's housed.
She just needs her dance.
Oh, that's good girl.
Is that?
You seen that dude with it?
She did with her, Rhiana?
No.
I saw that, I can't remember the single, but that's better.
You know me, I avoid Rhiana, like the playing.
I didn't see, I saw the video.
I think she could take Rhiana back to school.
I didn't.
Put him in the cage.
My money's on Shakira.
Me too.
But herself title album releases this Tuesday.
And then another band for the kids of the close in the hair.
Tokyo police club releases forcefield.
Kind of like extras that were in and rate the redemption or something.
You know, that sequel comes out this week.
Oh god, that movie was so good.
Have you ever seen that, Dave?
Put the rate redemption on your list.
You remember the old video game, uh, elevator action?
No.
Or you're like the secret agent.
You have to, you wire into this thing.
You have to go down through this whole building.
You have to shoot the other guys.
This is that in reverse.
This is that in reverse.
Basically, this group of cops takes on a drug cartel who runs an entire apartment building.
He's basically a Indonesian Nino Brown.
I imagine that whole scene in New Jersey, but they made a whole movie out of it.
And put about 10,000 more fights in it.
It's good.
It's well-corrected advice.
And they're saying this new one.
If you thought that wood was violent, that child's play.
Yeah.
There's a people we're getting up and walking out because the level of violence was too intense for some people.
Awesome.
All right, so is this going to be on, is this on Netflix?
Right now, you can get stars stars on demand.
Has it right now?
Okay.
But it was on Netflix, wouldn't it?
Uh, I don't know if it was not because they lost their deal with stars.
Well, that's okay.
I have other ways of downloading it.
Yeah.
Allegedly?
Allegedly?
And it sounds like a sequel.
Raid, the Raid Redemption sounds like a sequel, but it's not.
It's time to add to it, so I'm sure.
Right?
Yeah, sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I do put that on your list.
It's really, really good.
It's one of the most satisfying action films I've seen him.
It took me forever to finally get him to sit down and watch it.
And then I just spent an hour and 40 minutes just watching his reactions.
It's good because I knew what was going because I don't even seen it.
Every couple is like, oh, oh god.
I mean, some of the quickest fighting choreography you'll ever see.
Lots of, it goes off, dude.
It's good.
Lots of bone breaking and lots of blades to the face.
Yeah, like two years ago, two, three years ago.
Perfect.
Perfect.
I'm telling you, it's amazing.
I mean, you may not be much forefork because this is all in the native tongue.
It's not an Indonesian film.
You're not gonna care.
Now, you know what your next one's gonna be?
Battle Royale.
That's your next one, because I'm waiting to watch the sequel.
Battle Royale's cool basically.
They just take this entire, like, seventh grade class
because the kids have gotten out of control.
It's a, it's a Japanese film.
And so they think they're going on a field trip.
And they all get knocked out with this drug gas.
And they wake up on this island.
And only one person gets off a lot.
It's the hunger games.
It's way, yeah, before the hundred games.
Four to the flies.
Pretty much, China.
You feel, you feel a hunger game floor to the flies.
And it's like this abandoned military installation.
And each one of them gets a backpack.
And every, every, each of them have a weapon.
They don't know what it is, so they get outside.
Like, some of them have, like, a frying pan.
But some of them have, like, a machete.
Oh, great.
I can cook in the death.
I'll kill them with cholesterol.
It's really cool.
There's this sequel, but I haven't watched it yet.
Let's get out of the NBA.
NBA kind of quiet this week.
Yeah.
I think we're basically just using the NBA's
a stepping stone to get to the other basketball.
Yeah, so yeah, let's go ahead and get through the stadiums real quick.
In the western conference.
Southwest division.
The New Orleans.
By the games, we'll beat my heat today.
There are 29 and 40.
Their 24 games back in first place.
The Memphis is halfway to first place from them.
Your Dallas never gets 11 and a half out.
Ouch.
But right now, Houston is six back on San Antonio.
Oh, by the way, San Antonio's 1113 straight.
What is 97 year old team with these guys?
In the Pacific Division, the Lakers continue.
There was as they are 22 and 46.
Whoa, they're 26 games out of first place.
Sacramento is a game and a half better than them.
And then there's a huge cast in because Sacramento is 24 and a half back.
Phoenix is eight back.
Golden State right now, five and a half back on the clippers.
In the northwest division, the Utah Jazz 23 and 47,
they're 20 and a half back.
They're a game behind Denver.
Denver is three behind Minnesota.
But Minnesota is 10 behind Portland.
Portland is six back on Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma season, a three game win streak.
And the Eastern Conference and Lannick Division,
the Philadelphia 76ers are 40 games below 500.
So half the season, below 500.
Geez, they're 24 and a half back.
Boston, the Celtics.
Oh, by the way, the Philadelphia lose streak.
24 straight.
Hmm.
They've lost almost a quarter of the season since they've won a game.
And the streak is still intact.
Oh, yeah, 24 straight.
Boston, and that part is Boston's only eight games that are now.
10 back is the New York Nicarbockers.
The Brooklyn Nets are now two games back on Toronto.
They've won three straight New York's one eighth straight.
In the central division, Milo Waquet,
who is only one game better than the sixers.
And maybe they've lost six straight.
They're 37 and a half back.
Detroit is 10 games better than them.
Cleveland is two and a half better than them.
But right now, the bulls are 12 back on Indiana who is running away with this thing.
In the West, in the southeast division, Orlando, 19 and 51.
They're trying to hang in there with the sixers.
Atlanta is 13 games better than them.
Charlotte's two games better than them.
And Washington, 12 back on Miami, he who have been struggling a little bit lately.
But the real reason we want to talk about basketball on this segment.
March Madness, dude.
A man, what is going on?
If you have a bracket that's better than 40%,
you're probably in the top 10% of the country right now.
And you are the exception, not the rule.
Dayton University wins the play in game.
No, no, they didn't win the game because they weren't a 16 seed.
But they beat Ohio State.
And then they win again today.
You still don't have a 16 this beat in the one.
Because you know, that's never happened in the history of ever.
Really? Never happened.
They 16 has never beaten a one.
But rest assured America, there is still order in the universe.
The Florida is still in it.
We're in the sweet 16.
So four or five huge upsets this weekend,
Syracuse out, Duke out, which it taught state out.
So you've already lost a one seed.
Which you know, this is going to feel the fire because a lot of people were saying
which it taught had the hardest field to go through.
So now it's like, who told you, we'll play better.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, play it a better conference.
Speaking of which, finished up my 30 for 30 last night,
that they played up for the the big East.
Mikey was telling me about very good.
Got to watch that very much enjoyed that.
I didn't realize that Jim Bayheim was the only like the only day one coach
that made it until all the original's were gone.
I need to see this.
I did lose a little bit of respect for George Town when you watched this thing.
Because I didn't realize how ugly they play.
We weren't dirty players.
You were all born people to the face.
In the face!
That counts as dirty.
Let's say it.
All right, let's move on and do a little bit of wrestling talk, shall we?
We combine sports and entertainment.
So we talked about being a fox and hound two weeks from today for the rest of
Mania pre-show, our normal pre-show lasts about 45 to 15 minutes.
Not for WrestleMania if you watch it on the network.
Two hour pre-show for WrestleMania 30 on the network.
We're not going to do a two hour pre-show with Fox and Hound.
We don't do a two hour show except we do a regular show.
Okay, and we're trying to keep it below that mark.
It does lead me to believe that you're going to do the battle royal as your pre-show match.
Yeah, yeah.
Are the paid previews going to be live on the network Hill?
Yes, not, yeah, starting with WrestleMania 30.
Yes, starting with wrestling.
Okay.
I'm going to be interested to see what the lag is, though.
If there's a delay.
Because I'm sure we'll have people watching it while they're there.
My cousin is a huge wrestling fan.
And you know what, I'm glad you said that, but go ahead.
Yeah, you could not set up his own account for WWE.
He's a computer illiterate.
Okay, okay.
I just set it up for him.
Yet explained to him lag and why things are screwing up the first couple days of the network was open.
And I'm glad you mentioned that your cousin was in town last week.
We were going to have you on the show last week, but you guys were and we said on the show
that you guys were at the house show.
Now, let me ask you, was this your first live event?
No, I've been to live with it.
Okay, so tell me about your experience at the house show because I'm very interested
to hear about this.
Well, it's pretty cool.
It just wrestling is just not my thing anymore.
Okay.
Seems like I've outgrown that fair enough.
Okay, but still very cool.
Like, got to see the diva's wrestle.
Didn't get to see AJlee, which we use real disappointed about.
Cena, wrestled, somebody.
He'd wrestled Orton.
Yes, okay.
Yes, I'm sorry.
Wrestling Orton and lost.
Still cage match.
Oh, was it a cage match, really?
It was wrestling.
Yeah, and now I'm assuming your cousin's a little bit more into it than you are, maybe?
What was it like?
What was it like for him that you could tell?
Because my first live event was a house show, right?
I mean, and this was before they had the gateways and everything else.
So it was the main opposite with the main event was stone cold versus mankind,
false count anywhere.
So it's a long ago that was.
I just, I haven't been to a house show in a really long time.
I kind of wondered what the experience was like for you guys,
because I know you were there.
The American Airlines arena has nothing but great seats where we sit.
Agreed.
So that was that was fantastic.
The, the cage was fantastic.
The, um, there was,
darn, I'm bad about names terrible by names, but there's darn nail or what is it up?
The, the two, they, they were tag team and then they split up recently.
Titus O'Neill and Darren Young.
Thank you very much.
Titus O'Neill came out, got, uh,
beat within like three seconds.
Wow.
And then, uh,
wanted to wrestle again, got beat again 30 seconds later,
and then there was a third match where like six guys just came in and started
beating the crap out of each other.
And then like the shield and the why it's maybe?
No, no, no, the shields and the why it's were later.
Oh, okay.
Um, they, that was cool.
The, the shield and the why it's are very cool.
I do not like hillbillies.
I just don't, okay.
You're living in the wrong part of town.
Oh, yeah.
The, the rabbit mask thing kind of freaks me out, kind of freaks me to a, like,
it's the liberates fully.
Yeah, I think that's where they're going with it.
And then it's really, you know,
seems like he's the turnkey guy, you know, just in the circle.
Bad guys, whatever, uh, I'm not, uh, I don't, I'm trying to keep it clean.
Fair, fair point, we appreciate that.
And this gaggle of morons.
Exactly.
But the, the shield man, they are awesome, unbelievable, uh, group.
But then I, then I, I, you can kind of,
they are just so over right now.
They're so over with the crowds.
Oh, yeah.
So the, seeing that was just there was absolutely fancy, fantastic.
He was pulling for the why it's.
And while as I, I go for the more clean cut guys, you know,
the rockers of the, of the group,
to meet the hillbillies.
I'm all, you know, that's, that's where I lead to.
I was like, I want this shield.
Oh, the shield sucks.
Oh, I, I have to disagree with you there.
Haha.
Like, sort of, I will mildly disagree with your assessment of this particular
contest.
The, the, do you have any great poop on from my foot long?
Uh, but the thing I found most annoying about the, the whole event was $9
beer night.
Yeah, that's the American Airlines Center.
No, no, no, where they have the, their couples.
Their couples are attached to the back of the seats.
And finally, right?
So I put my, my $9 beer right there.
Some very nice African American lady,
uh, leaned over and dropped her hand right in my beer, shook it off.
Got, I mean, hit me with whatever it was on her fingers.
Uh, and and sat back down and acted like nothing happened.
That is unfortunate.
And I was like, that was an old dog.
And you're not doing anything.
You didn't even know that you showed us.
And I'm like, well, I'm not drinking that now.
Yeah.
What's up to the song?
I have no idea what's been on those fingers.
Also inviting championship, a women's champion, Ronda Rousey says she's
up for an appearance at WrestleMania 31 with her group that she's calling
the four horse women.
Her Jessam and Duke in Shayna Bayesler, both from the ultimate fighter
and Marina Shafir, I'm not exactly who she is.
I don't know any of these women are other than Ronda Rousey.
Uh, but I get Jessam and Duke in Shayna Bayesler were on, they were on the
uh, the ultimate fighter, this past season with her.
I'm a fan of the Ronda Rousey. A lot of people say things about her.
You know what? She's the champ so you tell her otherwise.
And until you, and when you know the arm bars coming and you still can't stop it,
that's a personal problem. That's all I'm saying.
Okay, and take a deep breath.
Before we do this next story.
Okay, right now I'm okay.
So they're doing this wrestle con thing, uh, two weekends from now in New Orleans.
Makes sense. You're in the same town as WrestleMania.
People that don't want to pay a lot of money for some of the other events can go to this
and meet certain wrestlers.
The day this happens, I'm going to be so frightened for everybody's safety anywhere near you.
But do you understand how close we are? Do you? Can you fully comprehend?
He is going to be in the same city as WrestleMania 30.
Yeah, but how many times has that happened?
None to my knowledge.
Not saying just what he's been in the same city.
Not saying just with him, but I don't care about anybody else. This is staying.
Oh, you let the cat on the back.
Well, it's the music, dude.
I'm telling you, dude.
I am, I am almost at Cograd right now.
So is he going to be dressed up like the Joker as I see here or the crow?
I don't know, and I don't care as long as he's at WrestleMania. I just don't care.
Now if he came out as old school sting, I will have. I will scream like a seven-year-old girl.
We better get Harry and plans first.
He turned 55 on Thursday, dude.
Think about that.
The thing is not only is he still wrestling, he still can't.
Yeah, he can still go. That's the thing with him.
That's what impresses me is that he still has the physical makeup and the, and the, just, the overall ability to just still do.
This will make up such to there. Yeah, yeah, totally on the picture.
But, I mean, the, the fact that he still has the good,
because not everybody at his age can say that.
I'm just, I'm freaking out. I'm freaking out, dude.
Well, don't get your hopes up, because you've gotten it up way too many times.
Yeah, you had the performance center. They are now banning baby oil from being used to wrestlers. They're saying it's, it's,
from a, from a video standpoint, it's really kind of, it doesn't look as impressive as it used to.
I guess with the advent of high definition. Yeah, because the 1980s call, they want their glossy sheen back.
Oh, it still doesn't. And you're back, and thus making my point.
He's gonna be in the orange. I bet you do.
Well, that's what I do. So glad I was not taking a sip of my tasty beverage right there.
I'm a little over the chest.
Please, can we now talk about RAW, please? Can we talk about anything, but this?
Reading a headline right now that Brett believes, oh,
one's going to go on the Hall of Fame next year.
And that's just Brett. That might just be Brett being Brett.
And also, if there's anything Brett can do, the rock is going to premiere the,
his, the exclusive first trigger for Hercules on Tuesday.
Where online on the show? I know he's going to put it on his Facebook page. I don't know beyond that.
Okay. What's I do follow him on Facebook?
Well, let's talk about RAW.
Opening segment Triple H comes out. Long story short Triple H says there will be a triple threat match for the
WWE World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania. If Daniel Bryan beats me, he'll be in.
And if he doesn't, then it will be Triple H. So when nice little wrinkle on that,
I still don't. I mean, it gives you about a 1% shred of doubt.
But Daniel Bryan wins that, man. Now he's not going to win the title because we all know it's going to be
Baptista, but
Don says that Ray Mysterio said that he is hoping to be in WrestleMania this year and things will be
resigned. Don says yeah, right. He will be in WrestleMania because they'll probably be in that
stupid battle royal. And hopefully, friends, you'll throw him out like he did at World War 3.
Or I wish that, you know, Baptista would just walk up and yeah, remember when I left. Yeah,
remember how I remember when I said to you, then I was going to rip your head off. I never did.
I'm going to finish that promise now. You know, we were just talking about
Bray Wyatt a minute ago. Say what you want about that dude. That dude can kind of promo.
But it goes on and on. But he I've also found out because of him. There's a setting in
my TV. I have to change. Because you know, however, they kind of turned the
diligent. No, no, no, no, no. You know, when they cut a promo, they're always like, it's always
so dark behind them. I think there's a setting in my TV that says that there's X amount of light
on the screen to automatically shut it off because it's happened twice. And I'm like,
did I get a defective TV? It's the venture filter. And then I really, it's got to be. And I
was like, wait a minute, maybe it's because it's so dark on the screen. It's like a screen
saver or just kicks the TV. Oh, no, it's the venture filter.
Disabled is if you're going to watch seven or alien three, your latest inductee into the
Hall of Fame this year will be Mr. T. So prepared to close caption that speech or just put it.
I actually saw somebody that had a Mr. T bumper sticker and their license plate was pity to fool.
I'm not kidding you. I'm like, I love that. Heat man. I heard him a couple of years,
saver years back on I want to say stern has lost his ever loving Mr. T. I mean,
he never had it. No, no, no. You cannot lose what you never had? No, no, I mean, this is like
worse than ever because he's unfortunately he still thinks he's that guy. And he's not that guy anymore.
You want to hear a story about Mr. T. Listen to Piper talking about him at WrestleMania 2.
The reason he bought he slammed him was because he just kept hitting him. Like he was he thought it
was he thought it was a shoot. He's like, I probably just got sick of the dude really punching me.
He's like, body slam. What do you think I do? Well, the Aaron Neville on him.
He didn't bother to say. Didn't Mr. T recently get stopped by security in the airport for his
bag full of jewelry. I think so. I think so. We know what what in virtual.
And I got stopped in a subway for his bag full of autograph photos. Can I just say on this show that I now
feel bad for Kofi Kingston? Because this guy used to be somebody. Man, no kidding. And when they tease
his match before the break, it's not Bray Wyatt versus Kofi Kingston. It's Bray Wyatt in action.
Next, geez. I was like, oh, who's he wrestling? I mean, dude, I'm not going to be like,
dude, that's Kofi Kingston. Do you remember how well that feud between him and Orton was going?
Yes, what happened to that buzz? Did Orton get in trouble then and it just killed it?
I don't know. I mean, because that was going someplace and it was interesting. Yeah. It was
genuine when he crashed his car and I just don't know that even turning him heel is going to be a good
no, that'd be a huge mistake because then talk about it at first. Nobody would get the okay
turn Mysterio heel while you're at it because nobody would care about that either.
It's not the answer. Right, Mysterio.
No, it's just started on here. He's just he. I did like Kofi at the at the
the guy's got talent. He's got amazing talent, but it's just kind of just letting him just
languish in media. Yes, they're burying him in the midcar. Hello, midcar. This is where you live
not for all your emails to midcard. He literally has too much talent to be sent around. There's a lot of
guys in the roster that knew. Okay, that's not an upset, but NC State loses to Iowa State.
Lost three of their last four games after a 12 game win streak. Trying to keep it updated on me
on the March of Madness that was going on. The main game I'm focused on right now is Steven.
Yeah, Russ says that the Hall of Fame will be held next door at now at the Smoothie King Center.
It's what they're calling it. Where the pelicans play? It's called the Smoothie King Center.
We're going to the contest at a jungle juice center this evening. Because when I think New Orleans,
I think Smoothie King. You know, well, in, in, I like a good Smoothie. Okay. From the Captain
obvious department, CNN morale is sinking at an alarming rate. They had morale. Well, apparently
now many of the talent is are quote openly rooting for Jared's new promotion, which according to
Toby Keith will begin in January and they're going to have a show on CMT. Wow.
Or TBS, TBS is the longer shot right now. And rumors are Kurt Angle may be involved. They've
buried the hatchet and Kurt may be involved in this deal. Dave, I'm not sure how much you know about that,
but Angle's X-Wife is now married to Jeff. I said Angle and Chair are going to work together again,
starting a new venture. And Kevin Sullivan also involved a former TD booker. And we
all know, I mean Kevin Sullivan's Hall of Fame or my personal opinion. That's another discussion
for another day. Really sounds like a whole macho man, a legitimate thing all over again.
Let me give you start with that. Lady Topba in losing her match against Gail Kim on 39 Thursday,
38 39. He exactly. Maybe some people have it on channel 39. I'm not here to judge you.
She's apparently really done with TNA. Like that wasn't a work. She's really done, but she's
gone back to OVW and a lot of people are saying she's just polishing her skills.
Don says if he remembers correctly, the Orton Kobe feud ended due to the Orton Second,
60 days suspension. That one. Okay. That sounds about right. That sounds right to me.
So let's talk about this thing we like to call impact.
You like to call it there is a new we have a new resiliency. We have a new one. No.
Tash used the word and somehow the spell checked didn't catch it. So maybe I'm missing something.
Unpredictability and spell checked didn't catch it. Is that really a word?
Unpredictability. I'm sorry. Unpredictability. I'm sorry. Unpredictability. That's not a word.
Is that like chaoticness or something?
Alrighty. Where did he come home, son? The street lights on. Come home. There is no place for him here.
At the announcement of your dog on right there is. He's but he's that bad.
Tazor JBL. Make the call. Make the call. Shot or stabbed. Still. I can't make that call.
I liked it when Taz worked with Cole. I thought they were good together.
Okay. You want to make. Okay. Bring Taz over but don't make him heal an answer guy.
No. I don't like him as heal an answer guy. I like it when he's just an an answer. I'm okay with it.
Because I'm sorry. I have never, ever felt that the announcers need to have a heal face persona.
They don't. There wasn't time for it but this is not that. That time is passed.
Not even in the attitude era. The gorilla wasn't needed. Let me tell you something.
Then gorilla. I'm on soon. That's my Jesse Ventura. I'm sick of that guy right now.
I only want to talk about Jesse Ventura. I'm so disgusted. And James Storm has a new theme song.
So when you turn heal and TNA, you get a new theme song. And remember kids, if you're face
and your family's at ringside, it will not end well for you.
As John Cena anytime they're in Boston. Well, it was Gunner this time. Gunner's dad was there.
And then James Storm handcuffed Gunner to the ring and then beat up his dad.
I guess I don't have a kid. I guess I kind of started with the hearts at every paper view.
Anytime breadhead of fight with Owen. God rest his soul. I got rest his parents' souls too.
Creeping up on the 15th anniversary of that thing. Oh my god.
And this beautiful people thing. It just feels odd. Is it forced? It does feels very forced.
Uh, velvet sky has never been known for her promos.
But this was particularly bad. Who uses the phrase in full effect anymore?
People who say unprotected theality. That's a fair point. Now I do love the velvet sky. Don't get me wrong.
She looks, she looks great, but you can hear the hamster wheel turning in her head when she speaks.
I think that's more interesting. She's an adorable girl, but God, just don't do it.
Good, do an image search on velvet sky. Just so you can catch up Dave.
Yeah, it just, it just feels weird. It doesn't, it feels like we're grasping at straws for not only for regular
angles, but knock out angles. It's the whole they tried to get Madison rain.
Masterings like I'm kind of past as bit. Rust says the new James Storm theme is called is
God's gonna cut you down. Oh, wow. That seems awkward. That's lovely.
I had Don City didn't hit him in the head with a beer bottle.
That's good looking girl, sir. Well, sir. Here's an interesting thing for you.
Remember Steve Blackman? Yeah, he's a bounty hunter now. He leads a team of bounty hunters up in the
Northeast and WWE is talking about turning it into a reality show for the network. Hey, if
Cigal can be a cop, then Steve Blackman can be dogs. Steve, Cigal. That's been my life in the movies.
If I last one, he has a bit of cop. I love that. I can't hear you do that in that giggle. I love that bit.
Hey, man, you Steve is a girl. No, man, I'm not Steve's a girl.
And then you know the new bit on that now, right? No. Are you a solo?
And that's what nobody snaps. Oh, I'll show you Steve's. So that's a solo.
And then we're as far as that's his that's his Samuel L. Jackson.
It's a Bob and Tom Vitt and the guy in the fake Steve is there he goes.
You see this other guy goes Steve is a girl. And they always do that bit about the one guy
that was the rest of them on that reality. She was like, you're Steve is a girl.
Really calls him Stallone. And the way he is, I'm going to show you Stallone. And you hear the guy the other
at the phone call. So bad. It's funny. Oh, and Russ is saying that's a Johnny Cash song. What are you using?
I was a big fan of the Cigal show. That was the Cigal long man. Oh, man. Oh, it's great.
And last week on the show, we talked about Cain in a six man against the shield that
Russell made and they were going to bring up the ascension from NXT. That seems to be changing now.
Apparently road dog is lobbying. He wants to work with the shield before they break the shield up.
It doesn't change. Yeah. I'll come at that match. All right. The shield's going over.
Are you a fan of this? Of the new age outlaws of resurgence? Yes. No. Good.
Okay. So it's not just me. I love those two. I will always love those two. Or what they did, not what they are
currently doing. I just, but you know what they can still go. Don't get me wrong. They can still go in the ring.
It's just, it's not believable. Well, first of all, degeneration X isn't presenting anything right now. No,
because there is no G generation X. But I don't know. It's 10% of the audience can remember that. You want to
talk about something feeling like it's shoehorned into the freaking programming. But I appreciate the
fact that, you know, they both got clean and they're, you know, and that's great. But you're not, again,
like Mr. T. You're not that guy anymore. Neither one of you are. Fair point. Let's talk about
smack them. You want to be a book or be a book or a book or a kid out of a race. So summer ray and
fondango come to the ring. And fondango's doing a singles match with one of the low somatadores,
which you know how I am with that bit. However, there was a little bit of creative genius in this
and whoever came up with this, I will shake your hand because it didn't hit me until it happened.
Right in the middle of the match, and Dave, I don't know if did you see low somatadores
without the show you're out last week? Yes. Okay. So you've seen El Torrito. Yes.
Who now has airbrushed abs on his white bull uniform. Oh, no, wait for it, sir.
Right in the middle of the match, El Torrito starts to break it out and chasing summer ray around the ring.
And I'm going, why? Oh, she's wearing a red dress. I'm like, well played. Well played, sir.
Yeah, I'm going to count as easy. Oh, because JB also wanted actually when it clicked
it goes, why would she wear a white dress? No one that there, and I was like, very funny.
I mean, that is very red dress. Red dress, yeah. It was like that is very funny. That is funny.
And you know what? The Z color push may be coming a thing again. It needs to.
I like that kid. He's not really from Hollywood Florida, but I let him represent
what's outside of my hometown. Who do you rather claim? Ziggler or Billy Mitchell of the King
of Kong's fame that he's actually from right outside of my hometown. I just suppose that the
restaurant he works at, I know where that is. Works at Hecky owns it. I'm sorry, you know,
I don't watch wrestling. So he's not a direct singular. No, it's Dolph Ziegler is his name. Yeah.
It's kind of the same bit without it being what it was. That makes sense. That he kind of was
that guy when he came in. He was very embalpiness. And so you have a three-way tag team match for the number,
or four corner tag team match for the number one contenders for tag titles, right? Okay.
It's the real Americans versus there's like, and one of the teams is the shield.
And Cole says, well, you know, none of these teams is really well-liked.
Excuse me, sir. The shield is about as over as you have in that company right now.
But they're still heels. I don't know, dude. Well, but I mean, you know, they protected
wall or unraught two weeks ago. We came with this, they come on on wall, where they turn around and
attack team. This is true. How does it justice? Just like, and importantly, while they had
missed TV and his budget's been cut way back, there wasn't any furniture in the ring.
It was like, wow. Now granted, it was because they had a bunch of the guys in the battle
royal, and that turned into what it was. But I was like, dude, do we get these director chairs
or even Cole? What's harder to look at, the fact that his push is just, what's bigger?
I guess what had to be me is rather than coffee. Yeah, right now. The mis disappearance of support
is a lot worse. Now, sir, you are one who apparently in recent weeks has actually paired witness to
the thing called main event. I forgot to watch this week though. Okay. I want you to go back and
watch it. How? They'll probably show you just as you can see the footage somewhere. I'm sure. Okay.
You know, I've got the networks. We can do it that way. It's true. Um, takers promo. He sounds like
he's on helium. I don't know what's going on. What? I don't know if he was, if he had
larynxitis or what was going on there. But when he was cutting his promo that you need to take
up. And it was a you need to take a message back to your client. Like that. It was like, um, sir.
Do you wear two tight hair marks? He can be bringing you a Los Angeles. You know, we're closer.
We could get you something from the smoothie king arena. If you. That was weird for me. That was
very, very weird for me. And that was the week that was in our sport. Remember, this show
is live every Sunday night, eight Eastern, four, eight Eastern, seven Eastern, four Pacific.
You think I would pay attention to no one this shows on since I host it.
We alive every week. And if you miss any section of the show, it's on archive almost immediately
after we go off air. Or are you just to subscribe and I too? You guys let's do whatever you want.
Save yourself the trouble. We still like it. We have a sub. Yes. Yes. Yes. Makes us happy.
I'm so glad we can do this live out of your mom's house. Yeah. You know, she brings cookies.
Flying to Idaho every week. It's a little costly. But we do it for the kids. If you don't
stop saying that, I swear, I want to punch you in the night. I didn't say it about impact. Did I?
Let's go to movie talk box office numbers dropping out of the top 10 this week.
They had a good run. Dropping from 9 to 13 after 18 weeks in the top 10 is frozen.
And we know why 734,000 for 18 week total of 397.8 million dollars. And I can include myself as one of the
proud owners of that film. Don't have it. Amethyst only one who hasn't made it all the way through that
film yet. I've never seen it. I've watched like 20 minutes of it. The wife and daughter and I
watched it the other night and absolutely loved it. And dropping from 7 to 11 is son of God. I made
another $2.6 million dollars this weekend for a four week total of $55.6 million dollars
which you really can't mess with to talk about the budget on that because it was just the left over
stuff from the Bible anyway. Did any of you see that? I went to a screening of it. Did you watch
the the Bible many series? Because if you watch the Bible you watched about 60% of it. It's the
same footage. I was I was a wee bit disappointed and there were some I call it Jesus 101.
I it because that's what it is. If you want an introduction into who he is and some other things he did
and if that brings you to a place of faith and I'm cool with it. But as someone who has been a
man of faith for many many years I was disappointed. I saw the trailer I was I was disappointed
about the trailer because Jesus kind of I'm Jesus. And it's like well all I know is in my Bible
Jesus didn't say the words in John 3 16. It's all I'm saying. Oh yeah. No. Like Jesus never referred
to himself as the son of God. He was always the son of man. And the trailer looked like he literally
was walking through crowds high five in people. He kind of got that feeling. I'm not going to debate
in series right. I just I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's something God. I don't. It was
it. It was Tim Wilson stopped by. Exactly. Number 10 this week dropping from 5 to 10 which couldn't
make Chad any happier is Tyler Perry's the single mom's club. $3.1 million for a two week total
of just under 13 million dropping from six place to 9th place this week in a movie I still haven't
seen it. I'm kicking myself currently as far as you know is the Lego movie. $4.1 million for a
seven week total of $60 million dollar budget $243.4 million. I can report on that movie. It is awesome.
I know and I want to see it so badly. Literally and you will hear the word also seven billion
times in that movie. Well I'm the I'm the mayor of Austin towns and that's just free plug for
my phone called everything is awesome. I just want to hear the back dance song. That's all I want.
You will hear that and there is a Star Wars Lego Star Wars shows up. It was awesome. Really.
Yeah. I've never seen that. I almost jumped out of my seat. It was awesome.
In eighth place dropping from 4 to 8 is the Liam Neeson vehicle non stop six point four million
dollars for a four week total of $78.6 million dollars 50 million dollar budget so it's made
money. Dropping up from 8 to 7 is the brand new West Anderson vehicle the Grand Budapest Hotel
six point seven five million dollars for a three week total of 12.9 million dollars but I think
it got a wide release this week so you really can those numbers might be a little bit skewed.
Looks entertaining. Dropping from the bronze middle to six place need for speed
7.8 million dollars for a two week total of 30.4 on a 66 million dollar budget.
That's like 12% unrun to make it. But here's my thing. You didn't have to call it need for speed.
That was my whole thing. The whole video game is you're just like taking cars and driving them.
You didn't have to name it that. Call it dude getting revenge driving cars. I don't really
you didn't have to call it need for speed. Day viewing at fifth place is the faith-based film
God's not dead, which I do want to see because I'm a big newsboy's fan. Made $8.6 million dollars
in 780 theaters. Fourth place dropping from the silver medal this week is 300 rise of an empire.
$8.7 million dollars for a three week total of 93.8 million dollars. It is still 17 million away from
budget. I think it'll make it. If nothing else it'll make it on the TVD and blue right. It's close enough now.
Now it may not make the rule of 50. I don't know if we've talked about that when you
been on the show day. The rule of 50 is something that Harvey Weinstein came up with. It says take the
budget of your film in order to be profitable at 50 million because you have to deal with advertising
and everything. In the silver medal, silver and gold this week are both day views. In the silver
medal category a movie that friend of the show John Houser saw last night because his lady friend posted
it on Facebook. Muppets most wanted 16.5 million dollars on a $50 million budget. Which had this
stronger day view. Well, everyone I've talked to had loves when you open against what one
you're going to steal most of that audience. Gold medal, $56 million dollars on an $85 million
budget for a divergent. The hungrier games. I've talked to a couple of people that have seen it.
And Matt. Big time. Well, Matt. I don't know. I went to a screening Wednesday night of a movie
called Enemy and if you, if you subscribe on iTunes, you can hear what we thought in our two
videos. And they were screening the version in the two screen and the two theaters next door to it.
And I was like, I am so glad we're not seeing that tonight. People have said that like,
about the only thing that works is the chemistry between the two leads. That's actually
movies a pretty girl. Okay. So that was a bad review. You just gave it. Yeah. Okay.
The people are just like, when you say, man, I'm just like, Matt, just Matt, Matt. Oh,
just it just didn't connect with people. Well, I just think when you're opening in the
wake of the Hunger Games, that's all people are going to see from it. Now, we're going to talk
about that movie here in just a moment being the virgin. But actually, we go ahead and talk about it.
Now, the director, Neil Burger will not direct the sequel in surgeon. So, but the same thing
happened with the Hunger Games, got the directed the Hunger Games into critic catching fire,
but he will be directing mocking Jay. He brought 22 and catching fire made more money than the
first one did. And the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvine did enjoy it very, very much.
All right. Why doesn't do movies and theaters anymore? She's a huge Hunger Games fan.
So I made sure I bought catching fire for her on Blu-ray so she could watch it and she really did
like it. So she's my barometer because she's read all the books. And she says she's probably
going to go back and read the books again. I still have to see catching fire. Really good. Like,
I felt that the Hunger Games dragged really bad. Like, it was really slow. This was awesome.
I really liked the Hunger Games. I was really a good move. I had to wait till I came out of Netflix,
yeah, well, we watched on Netflix like two days before we went to the screen here. But we were just kind of like
catching fire was really really good. Ross asked if we saw the new peanuts trailer. I have not.
There's a new peanuts. There is a new peanuts. Oh, and speaking of what you know Scooby-Doo is
going to be on Raw Tomorrow. It will be a costume Scooby-Doo. It will not be animated or CGI.
We've said that. What diva is going to be wearing? I don't know.
There might be Pete Rose. Well, I got my sequel news that I've been waiting for for 10
years this week. So I'm I'm still going on that buzz. Disney CEO Robert Eiger announced. Oh, yeah,
okay. I know he's not my note. Announce plans for Cars 3, which I was like, I could care less.
But they announced the sequel for the Incredibles. That's what I can't wait. That made me lose my mind.
We do want to say congratulations to the people at Disney this as Frozen becomes the 13th highest
grossing film of all time passing Jurassic Park. This is one thing that kind of messed me up though
that there's a lot of pin-up enthusiasm for the Incredibles 2, but they stand again more from Cars 3.
Only because of merchandising. As of 2011, the Cars franchise had a counter for nearly 10 billion
in product sales. Cars 2 was not there because of planes 2. Well, you really don't count planes.
Plains does they done two planes movies now. How about what? Yeah, there's no there's a new planes movie.
I'm going to call rescue planes or something like that. Let's spend directive video or something because
planes was not a Pixar film. Cars in Cars 2 were. Plains was not.
All right.
At least I hope he does. I don't know what to think about this next story because I was not a fan of this back
If you were truly outrageous and you were a fan of Jim in the holograms
If you were Joe director, G.I. Joe director, John M.2 is going to direct a live action
Jim in the holograms. Have we officially run out of 80's franchisees to remake? Wow.
They're still Voltron for crying out loud. Make a Voltron. I saw some concept art from it
and it blew me away. Oh, yeah. About two years ago. Yeah, I was surprised.
This is the wallpaper on my computer for work. But and that but apparently the the person that
originally is not going to be involved. That originated Jim in the holograms. Correct.
I read that today. They're they're pulling a. Uh, what's his name? Alan Moore.
I will put my name on this because there's no integrity there. Jim in the hologram.
I'm telling you to catch them. They're truly outrageous. Stop it. It was revealed this week.
Your next X-Men movie will be X-Men Apocalypse to follow.
There's a future pass this week. This makes you very happy, obviously. Oh, I'm just
another thing it's you. I came. I've I didn't know you hadn't watched that marble thing. I
wouldn't have deleted it. They showed they showed the concept art for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
for for for age of Voltron not for um for Galgardians. Yeah. No, not for um
There's a future pass. Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah. And the very last scene you see which is about
that long. He's the anti-man costume. What was that? You're probably one of the few people
that got excited about that, too. But I did learn how to say Kevin Fiji's name for something
but it's not Kevin Fiji's like Kevin Fiji. Like the island? Yeah, almost, but I spelled it.
But because they cut to Josh Weedon when they were talking about the early parts of it. He goes the
first time I ever got the nerve to walk up to him was just I walked up to him and I said Robert
Daddy Jr. That casting was dope. Like say I'm not the only one that uses that word.
Wolverine 3 and Fantastic 4 2 in 2017. So we're already banking on this new Fantastic 4
which I am completely reserving judgment on. I saw the guy on I want to say it was on
Ferguson on Craig Ferguson this playing Mr. Fantastic. Never heard of the guy. I couldn't even tell you
his name right now but they announced the whole cast a couple weeks ago. He's he's he's
pippin' to film he's in right now. I'll tell him and I'll look it up. And we know that Disney
is doing a new jungle book being directed by the Favro and we know that Warner Brothers is
doing their version of it. That will be directed by one anti-circus. How do you feel about this
fine. Absolutely fine. He he was he was second unit director on a big chunk of the Hobbit
films. But I thought you were out on this. I'm in on circus getting a directing gig if that's what
you're asking me. I just don't know if we need to do this. I don't think you know I'm a big Favro fan
have been for many, many, many, many, many, many years. I don't know if we need to do this. I don't
think he messed with a could Disney cartoon movie. Much less live action. Like oh here it is here it
is a Miles Teller is the guy playing Mr. Fantastic. I've got a pen in teller. He was promoting
in search and he plays Peter and in search or divergent divergent and in search and um oh wow
this ties into something you're going to be bringing up later so please can take it.
Get ready for January 9th, 2015 as we start the year with a bang with Taken 3. What?
Cricket. Taken 2 was no horrible. It was horrific. And so as good as that first one was
that second one was a piece of garbage. So you were a fan I take you. I was so dumb so glad
I didn't see that in the theater because I loved the first like Lonnie let me borrow the first one
and I was like this and it's all a dumb and then I was like oh they're doing a sequel what?
And I watched it. I was like this sucks. They've already taken him in his wife in the
daughter so it was next to her boyfriend that they introduced at the end of the second one spoiler alert.
But I need you to throw grenades into an open city. What? And something that I had to crack.
Something that I know Chad will be very happy about because you are a man who enjoys the movie score.
Avengers Age of Ultron will be scored by Brian Tyler who did Iron Man 3 and Thor the Dark World.
Man I'm telling you that he's the guy that gave us that new Marvel Stinger that's on at the beginning
of every one of the Marvel really. That's Brian Tyler. I've got both of these in my
tens library. I'm a fan of Brian Tyler's work. We are doing a new biopic for John Bolushi. That's
what I would be played by a meal heresh. Ellen Pages in talks to play his wife and the uh the
aforementioned Miles Teller. Dan Akroy. Oh really? Yeah fair enough. I just you know,
did you know the last time we did this was a movie that almost got chickeless black ball that
Hollywood was when he did wired because a lot of people in Hollywood did not want that book even
to be published in the fact that he played Bolushi. A lot of people said that's going to kill
your career. You will never get working this time again. I'm sorry and I'm I had to be reminded
who a meal heresh was. Wow and it's it's it's a great performance. I'm a huge chick was fan
have been since the commission you know but yeah when he did wire people like you will never
work in this time again if you do this though. You you realize I know you know Rob you know who
we meal heresh is. I know I know you know I didn't know if you knew the guy in the
plate speed racer and that what child's keep brothers debacle live action film. Oh yes John Bolushi
really hit this guy now stranger things have happened so he's going to put on a lot of weight
that dude's bone thin. Oh Mars I'm sure it will be because that was John Bolushi's
tragic life. Oh Mars I who you will see as Bishop in X-Men days of future past debatable casting
for me he's going to he's announced that he is joining the cast of Jurassic World.
I'm getting more and more worried about this but I put this last headline in for you sir. There will
be another Friday the 13th film rumored to be directed by Tom Savini bring it back home.
But he never directed did he? I want to say he didn't direct the original because I want to say
that was Steve Miner that did the first one. Gosh I mean look this up real quick I'm on it.
If you explain to our friends who Tom Savini. No he's not he he did a couple episodes
of tales from the dark side he did not the living dead dead time stories. She's he's really
fond of these dead things chill. Yeah you also played sex machine and and from dust
sold on greatness but he's mainly known for his make-up work and he was he was in charge of
the make-up make-up effects of the original Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th final chapter.
Oh good night. Let's see chainsaw two he was the make-up artist there the twisted sister video
where he didn't work in the original Friday the 13th as well. Let's see I want to say
wasn't he the guy that sold the warehouse space to Zach and Mary and Zach and Mary make a
porn out of his correct you was. Just added that back to my net point to you. What Zach and
Mary that's such that's what got my wife in the given Smith films was watch. Really that was the
first one she watched. He was clerks was an answer on Jeopardy the other day made me happy.
He was in both machete films he was in Django the guy gets around but the fact that he's
been in horror and he's one of those original like you know along with Rick Baker and Greg Nick
Attaro are like some of the greatest make-up artists of that of that era and of that genre and
to have him directing this I think it's in good. It's not done yet he's in talks right now. I hope it
gets done out please pencil this in. New movie releases in a new movie replace place near you this week.
This is a stretch I know. I don't even know what this is. Really? Yeah.
You don't remember this in the late 90s? I don't remember this in the late 90s.
This is what Josh's playing.
A movie I'm very excited about and I think I think I'm going to go see this in the iMac 3D. Well this
thing's getting torn. Well you've got a lot of people that I think are nitpicking. Yes and
which is going to happen when you're talking about a biblical subject.
Well I think with some of God and you can listen to the nitro disclusive that we did on it.
Given the people involved it should have been deeper than it was. With Noah
with Aaron Opsky you know what you're getting. If you see Rick we inform a dream at the same director.
This was the guy that was supposed to do Batman your one. I'm interested just to see it because
it's not like the Noah story. The Bill Cosby routine is deeper into the story of Noah than the
Pipe of Go's really. Which my boss this week found she'd never heard before. Really. I might do
yourself a solid. That's one of the greatest comedy routines of our time. But I'm interested. I don't
have like I'm not putting this thing on a pedestal but I'm interested. It look visually and looks
incredible. Which is why I want to see the iMac 3D. I just want to see how we can make
two hours out of about three chapters of the Bible. I thought that Aaron Opsky had a longer resume than
this. Not really. Not really sir. Because the majority of them were short films
until until pie then it was pie. Rick went for a dream. The fountain, the wrestler, black swan.
Noah and it was a four year break between black swan and Noah. Also this week a movie that
we will be screening and having a special edition for you later this week sabotage the new
Schwarzenegger flick with Joe Mangello who will be both on Brawtomar Night. Because nothing
says raw movie promotion like a Schwarzenegger film. And a movie that I think you're going to be
interested in sir called evil in the time of heroes. This is from our friends at Rotten Tomatoes.
Slick wacky and chomping at the bit with get gobs of human on zombie violence. Evil in the time of
heroes is a greetion take on Sean of the dead cross with 28 days later. I'm in millennia go and
ancient grease bloodthirsty zombies begin wreaking havoc on humans and only a mysterious cloaked
hero played by Billy Zane. Oh no. And his other worldly weapons can save them. Flash forward
to the present day when Athens is once again plagued by the undead and a rag tag band of human
survivors is on the run. Among them are a taxi driver who seems to be immortal. A pair of hot
blood and soldiers with some serious chemistry and a doctor who can't stand to get his shoes dirty while
stomping on zombie heads. Um, well, so you need to know. This is bad news. Because yes, Mr. Barrett.
This has got some bad news. This was released originally five years ago in Greece.
That's just said it's a Greece film. But it was released five years ago. Why not? And it's a sequel.
Really? Yes. And so you get a sequel. The rate to this week premiered premiered at a
Sundance that I'm in through some great reaction. Tell you do you got our first one. Never saw the first one.
Guess it's first one. It's okay. Caesar Chavez, which is a biopic. A lot of big stars in that. And something
called mistaken for strangers. This looks very interesting in my personal opinion.
Now granted, it's been hailed by Michael Moore as one of the best documentaries about a band that I've ever
seen. So, you know, take that for what you're paying for it.
Mistaken for strangers is a truly hilarious and touching film about two brothers, Matt and Tom Barrenger.
Burnnger. There's an engine. There's an end between the R and the I. I can't read that far.
Oh, that's kind of ruins it for me. Matt the lead singer of the critically acclaimed rock band the
national. They were on Saturday night live two weeks ago. Finally finds himself flush with success.
His younger brother Tom is a lovable slacker. A filmmaker and a metalhead still living with his parents in Cincinnati.
On the eve of the nationals, biggest tour to date, Matt invites Tom to work for the band. It's a
roadie unaware of Tom's plan to film the entire thing.
Yikes. That was barrenger. I feel horrible.
That was spring and something on you at the barrenger. I was I was typing in around around the same time
you were and I'm like, oh, this could be all that same guy.
DVD and blue egg new releases this week.
Let's put it just so I'm in a perspective. I don't want this intro play.
I'm wondering what this thing is. It's that the DVD woman is the hunted animal.
And when I catch her being the predator hunter, I'm going to kill her. Maybe not kill her, but
you know what I mean. We'll say the guys a little bit of hot nucky or a little bit of pinch and
squeal, whatever, you know, however it goes. Animals, right? We're at a control where fierce animals
crazy, earth. That's what I'm saying. Let's do this song.
Oscar nominee.
I love real big fish. The wolf of Wall Street. Oscar nominee, but not winner. No. I still love that
meme. I saw the day after the Oscars. It's picture of McConaughey and Kiki in a
house. I just lost the movie. The big movie of the 70s movie that he did. All right, all right,
right, movie. Oh, Daisy. Daisy confused. He says, hey, man, you got an Oscar. And it's the picture of
the caprio. No, be cool or if you did. Walking with dinosaurs, the movie. Where did you have
an interest in this serve? Yeah, it looked cute. I mean, it looked like Disney's dinosaurs at the
sequel. A fairly new independent film called The Great Beauty gets the criterion collection this week.
And the Vince Vaughan movie that came in went the delivery man, which looked cute, but I don't
know. Basically, he's a delivery driver who realizes that he's got all these kids all over
the country because he didn't do a sperm making college. He's got like five hundred and thirty
something children. That was a great French movie a few years ago. That was the same concept.
So as a remake, basically, or did they rip it off? I think they completely ripped it off. Wow.
It's a, this loner, loner finds out that he has, he donated to his sperm bank over a
period of years during his college years. And he has so many different children from different
countries all over Europe. And he goes around visiting each one. That sounds like the plot.
Avengers confidential black widow in the Punisher animated feature this week. And the Scooby-Doo
WrestleMania mystery. Good luck with all that. Can't wait, not to put a music DVD.
Combining two great musicians. Beth Hart. You have heard of her and this guy.
This could be one of my favorite songs last five years.
Oh, the great Joe Bonne-Massa.
Live an answer to him.
Just ask him what the song is, dude. He's just saving you in this period.
So just ask him what it is. I was impatient, you know. I'm such a fan of this guy. This song
is supposed to be called Blue and Evil. It was cracked. Oh good. He's got this song. I'm sure you
get burned a day. If I should jam it, it's in my list. Oh, there you go. Okay, okay.
I know it looked ridiculous. That was fun. I thought maybe he had a voicemail or something.
I did do. I was like, wow. So they'll be live in Amsterdam. And if I'm not mistaken, Bonne-Massa's
also on that Hendrix tour. That they're doing like everybody in their brothers on.
I list you TikTok. You got anything, sir? Not really. Not much going on in the tech world.
I did get the latest game in former and that they have a cover article on the thing we geeked
out over last week. Oh, Arkham Knight. Arkham Knight. And there's a reason why it's only going to be on the
Xbox one in the PS4. And I read a stat in this story that blew my brain apart. Bring it. There are
more polygons on the Batmobile in Arkham. Arkham Knight. Okay. Then there were in the entire city
of the previous game. Oh, dude. Okay. And apparently, Arkham Knight is not just the name of the game.
It's the name of your archenemesis that's being created. Yes. I heard about that. Have you seen the
trailer yet? Yes, I have. It made my eyes bleed. They all, the only thing that had to say to me was
drivable Batmobile. Now I have a reason to buy this. And they said, it's going to make it really
difficult for you to get out of this car. I played all three of them. They're fantastic. I haven't played
the last one. I haven't played the last one. I haven't played origins yet. Last one. I'm not even
halfway through. I got twenty percent through. I've already seen the Joker. The Joker's wearing the
red hood. Red hood. Oh, I'm sorry. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Should have said that beforehand.
That's okay. Okay. I don't, I'm not that big of a fan. I'm not worried about video games. Spoiler
first. Oh, okay. Bain is fantastic in that. Just battling him. Your moves are a lot quicker.
You know, he's spinning around just hitting like 17 guys all at once. Oh, because there's 20 years
younger at this point. Yeah. It's, it's absolutely fantastic. Oh, man. I've been kind of avoiding it.
It just didn't seem like it because mainly because Rocksteady didn't do it. And that's why I've been
avoiding it. But by them saying definitively, this is their last batman game. This isn't just the
last arc of game. This is their last batman game. The Rocksteady's going to do it. Right. You,
which I said, they're definitely done with Batman. Now, I'm going to have to buy a PlayStation
or an Xbox one bigger poison. All right. Streetlights on gentlemen. We end every show with a list.
This week is no exception. The pendulum swings back to me. And I really, I've sing about the other
day. And I realize that this is the time of year where you have your Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
inductions to your big ones this year being kiss and hollow notes. And I believe it isn't
when you're on set on that list this year. Uh, I don't even, you know what I can even tell you.
Kiss not going to be playing. And now there's a controversy if they want these other guys
and with them and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is saying no, it's just the original four.
Why wouldn't they allow that? They did it for the Eagles. They let everyone of those
iterations go in. This is what they're saying. So it's what they're saying. I'm just saying that's,
that's kind of messed up. So I got to thinking, what are 10 of the biggest acts that are
not in there that should be? And so I did some research looking for, you know, I looked at three
or four different lists of people that had made some list because there's a lot of acts.
I know one in particular, but I'm not going to say anything to you. I do want to say that
I want you to realize that this year or you're not next year, Mariah Carey's eligible for the
whole thing. What that's saying. 25 years a year for a single? No. True story. Number 10.
There is one on here. I just want to stab you any eye with you. I don't understand it.
Well, let me know when we get there. Well, I'm waiting a thing. Okay, the cars.
Rico caseic in the boys. Well, I thought that they weren't in. I was like, are you out of your mind?
That's that's a lot of me that wonders what what goes into the criteria of selecting who
anybody's asking me. That's all I'm saying. Number nine is a band touring with kiss this summer.
Shout out to friend of the show Leon Hart. That is really hard. Who's a new baby
guy dedicated church this morning? So congratulations to
salani and Christa. The death leopard not in the rock and roll hall of fame. I don't get that as terrible.
It's terrible. It's terrible. I just, I read that. I was like, and they've been eligible for what?
At least 15 years.
Is it been that? Yeah, I guess so. Number eight. And a band I saw open for Erosmith a few years ago.
Shocked these guys aren't in cheap trick. Really?
We're one of the greatest guitarists that walks God's green earth. The guy who has a double neck guitar
that shaped like him. That's a great thing. We forgive them for the remake of don't be cruel.
And they're, they're cover of magical mystery tours and that great. But they do the theme for
that 70 show for God's sake. And then the power went out as they were playing this when we saw
them. It was because it was raining like a beast at night. Number seven.
No kidding. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. Yeah, he died about five years ago.
Like him and it didn't he and Isaac, he died in the same month? No. I want to say the
he and Luther Vandro's died real together. Two of those three. Yeah, because it was like James Brown
Barry White, Luther Vandro's and Isaac Hayes were all like
yeah within about four or five years of each other.
I'll never that cover of basketball Jones and him and Chris rocked it on the space jam soundtrack.
You heard what we're remaking that by the way. No. With LeBron. No, that's happening. No, it's happening.
No, I'm shack. Shack what? That's Michael Jordan. That was Michael Jordan.
Yeah. Shack did blue chips with Nick Noltz and Kazam. Sorry. All the well-played sir. Game set match. Number six.
I love this song. His greatest hits album is solid. I think we didn't
we do that as a list one. My favorite greatest hits album? No. I'd love to see that list.
His greatest hits album is really good. And you know what? I like his version of you can leave your
hat on better Tom Joneses. I have to agree with you, I think. Joe Cocker. I'm going to have to
listen to that because I love Tom Jones and Peter Hadel. I love his version. Have you ever, did you ever
see SNL from the 70s when he was on? Belushi did a dead-on impersonation of him. You've never seen
that? No. But he's up there performing. I want to say he was doing a little help from my friends.
Yeah. That's Belushi found out what outfit he was wearing went to costume and was like,
I need one exactly like it and they made one and he showed up dressed exactly like Cocker. It did
it's genius. He's got such a great. I just listen to this song for the rest of the show.
Number five. Just the one you just agree with. I'm right there with you. I can't stand these
guys. They played the instruments. Number one, they played the instruments. Number two,
Mike Nesson's mom invented white-out. Number three, Mike Nesson. If you didn't have
like Mike Nesson, you wouldn't have MTV. That was his brainchild. All those things that we're
praising Mike Nesson before has nothing to do with the monkeys. Look at the sales. The sales don't
lie, sir. They they change the game as far as music on television as far as the in copycat fans.
Yeah, you're right. You can do a lifetime of good stuff. You do one bad thing. I'm right there
with you. I can't stay in the monkeys. I love the monkeys when I was a kid. My sister loved him.
I was like, what is wrong with you? So let's go to the other side of that coin for number four.
How is this band not in the whole thing? Yeah, granted Bruce Dickinson,
not the nicest guy in the world. But these guys, you think metal, these guys are metal. And this
guy's a licensed pilot. He'll fly 747 on you. Have you seen the plane? They have a plane.
That Eddie is huge on the side. He's probably flying it. It's called like Flight 666 or something.
He holds some kind of a world record with Microsoft Flight Simulator. Bruce Dickinson does believe
it or not. Well, at least it won't end up in the middle of the movie. Yeah, sure she does.
I love couldn't find her underwear with the lights on. That's okay. Let's move on. This is number
three of bands that aren't in the Hall of Fame. But should be, are you kidding me? Is this one of
those things where Steve Perry doesn't want to go in? I don't know. But there's no reason, no reason
in the world that I live in. That journey is not in the rock and roll Hall of Fame. Again,
some of those, just like, look at how much of a douche axle was for all those years.
About, I don't want to go in. We also want to go in. We also live in a world where rush
went in last year. They really do need to speed up the process of letting them in a rock roll.
Because I'm sorry, you shouldn't be, I don't think anybody should be dead when they're
inducted. Exactly. I mean, unless it's just a tragic. Well, I'm just saying because, but if you
die of old natural causes, because you've been waiting not in the Hall of Fame, that's what
irks me. Because I, you know, I'd still go see him with the fellow piano guy. In a second,
I saw the documentary. You see it, that every, but one man, every man's journey or something.
I've got that. The instinct you Dave told me, you can watch it. It's amazing.
That guy is unbelievable. And the fact that he found him on YouTube,
that's crazy. And I thought that's what that Mark Wahlberg bio pseudo biopic was really all about.
You. I thought that's who it was based on. Oh, not journey. Who was, um,
Jews priest. Oh, was it? Uh-huh. That was Jewish priest. But Rob Halford still
delayed singers. He wasn't for a long time. I'm going to put $20 million on the line right now.
That says Chad doesn't debate this next one.
And this probably, my favorite song by him. I can't do that. I can't give you a
favorite song by this guy. I can't give you my five favorites, but I can't give you one.
And I would say both him and his brother. Because I think Jimmy's great too.
But I don't know if Jimmy's in it. If he's not Jimmy game. No, no, no. There's no way. There's no way Jimmy's in and Stevie's not.
There's no reason for him to not be in now. And I don't understand that.
I mean, I can't hear a guitar like by this guy. And that immediately have my hair stand up.
And just, I love what I read. What I've ranked is number one. My brain melted.
And I mean, little just melted in my head. I'm like, you're telling me that Cleveland, Ohio houses
the rock and roll Hall of Fame. I'm ever against it. Everybody's definition of rock and roll is different.
But I will tell you this, public enemies in. Run the MCs in. So the rules here can be lucid.
And you're telling me these guys aren't in? You're out of your mind.
And I would give you with or without satire.
Let's see. You know, and I'm not trying to pigeonhole them. But like, say, is Steely Dan in the Hall of Fame?
Um, I think so. Or a little river band.
I would put him in. Because you know my big little river band. What I'm saying is if those guys are in
and these guys ain't, then there's definitely something wrong. Yeah.
All right. I'm going to bring out my white trash moment here. I didn't see them on the list.
Who? I'm wondering. Skindard? No, if they're actually in there. So poison.
No, poison not in. There's a, I saw one list that had like bond joebies not in.
Bond joebies should be in before poison. I would think I'm, I'm making nothing. I can say with a 99%
surety that crews not in. I don't know that there's any true hair band. Yeah, I'm not saying
there any hair metal bands in the, in the, in the Hall of Fame? I've noted. Metallica.
I don't consider them hair metal, though. They're just speed metal. But I know they're in.
Because that was the big thing that we were hoping that new set was going to play with them.
How funny would it be if they put white snake in? What do you put white snake
here? Did you just put cover dealing? Because he was in like 19 different bands.
Cover dealing page with some greatness. He was at the purple for a long time.
Now then you look at people like, uh, you know, if you're going to put journey in,
you put damn Yankees in. Newtions in, though. I mean, pretty sure Newtions.
I would think so. Because if he wasn't, you know, he'd be railing on at least once a year because
what he does. Because the man's keeping him down. But I just, when I found a Chicago,
it was not the rock roll hall of fame. I was like, they dominated airways for a long time.
And they're still, I've seen them live. Like, I saw them in the late 90s live. They still
get it done live. And there's a debate of either them or Sean Anah was my first concert.
I ever saw. It's one of the, whatever one isn't the first, the other one's the second.
When I was a kid. And when I saw Chicago, Statera was still with them.
So, that's the list. Any honorable mentions, gentlemen?
It, all that, as long as you got Stevie Ray, I'm good.
Did you think I wasn't going to put him on his list? Well, especially when I found out he wasn't in.
Yeah, it's one of those things where I just, I don't think about him not being in because I just
assume he already is. And the fact that he's not. Yeah, that's, and now one of the lists I saw,
like two or three of the people that were on their list were going in this year.
Kiss was on the list. Ron's that was on the list. All the notes was on their list.
But they're all going in this year. So, right? All the notes on the list.
That's the thing. You're editing, you did it. Yeah, dude.
Thank you. You're clever. You know my big fan of the, of the all notes.
As am I. A lot of people consider them a guilty pleasure.
Is that your speed lagging in?
I want to say yes, but you know what I don't know.
Because maybe please talk to me, he's guitar.
Got a lot of albums.
Tevin Cronin.
It's like really good to see.
They're awesome.
I want to see them. I'm high in fidelity is one of the seven albums of my youth.
I hope it on vinyl and I haven't, I haven't, I haven't, I haven't tape and I haven't
on CD now.
I'm pulling up a list of off of notinholophane.com for its last rock and roll.
