The following is a sooner orgator production.
Keep it going.
Tell it.
Good evening.
It is 702 on the East Coast.
It is 402 on the West Coast.
It is Sunday February the 9th of the year of our Lord 2014.
For those of you that are more numerically inclined at this episode 206.
The club houses live on the air.
We welcome you.
We don't care how you listen.
We're just glad you're here.
Whether you're listening live right here on you stream.
Whether you're listening on our archive or whether you subscribe on iTunes.
Or doing more than one or maybe all three.
We're not here to judge you.
We're just glad you're here.
My name is Robin.
I'm not real sure but I think the Seahawks just scored again.
We'll talk about that a little bit more coming up.
Joining me across the desk as he does each and every week on this show actually hasn't been here in the better part of a month.
Because last week we were off.
Before that we were on location.
Before that he was on on the show.
So this is his first time in studio in four weeks.
Is a man who cannot get enough winter Olympics in his life.
He is chat.
I will admit it.
No, that's not a dig.
That is honest to God truth.
I am an Olympic hollock.
That is prove.
That is proveable facts.
Yes.
I adore the Olympics when it's on.
Regardless of the season.
I'm just not a winter Olympics guy.
You just got to embrace it, man.
No.
I really don't.
No.
If you will just.
You know.
I don't mind.
Go Merka.
But that's about it.
If you.
The snowboarding events.
That should get you interested.
I've never been a snowboarding guy.
If you.
Anything that doesn't have breaks frightens me.
If you've played cool borders or 1080 or SSX.
At least once in your O for three, sir.
Really?
Never got into it.
Wow.
Joining us.
A special guest tonight.
A guy that we tried to get over to join us for the Super Bowl.
He had better plans apparently.
He is the king of bowling.
He is Andrew Beckham.
I said it home.
I've watched it at home.
You should have come over and watched it with us.
Dude.
You're a jerk.
I'm telling you.
We had every week to like everybody's bring whatever you want.
We had so much food.
It was still eating leftovers on Friday.
Wow.
I'm not kidding.
I'm not complaining because everybody like Mikey made some chili.
Wicked chili.
Chili was good.
Chad made some k-some.
Friend of the show.
Dave Scott brought over two large Joe's pizzas.
I went and bought a bunch of stuff from wing stop.
It was ridiculous.
Doc brought in hooter's wings.
That sounds great.
I don't want to get it.
Don is with you, sir.
He says embrace the Olympics.
He's with you.
I love skiing from his Montana days.
No.
I tried skiing one time and it scared the crap out of me.
To me, that's what makes watching Olympics.
Let's watch sports in general.
Are you an agony of defeat guy?
No.
Watching people do amazing things.
I know, darn well, I would never be capable of doing.
And admiring and respecting the talent and ability that it takes to do it.
I'm going to add one.
I'm going to add one.
I'm going to add one.
I'm going to add one.
You know, I'm two for three on those video games.
And I still cannot get into the winter.
I'm a summer Olympics guy.
Give me basketball.
I love table tennis.
I even went out and got the Mario Sonic athlete.
He did.
That's true.
And it's a blast.
Now, Russ, I'm with him.
The hockey.
I'm in on.
Okay.
There's a big hockey.
It's cool.
Yeah.
But what is that?
70.
And when do they break?
Because the stars were playing last night.
When do they break tonight?
I would assume.
Thanks.
We went.
We went to corrections.
Thanks to everybody that came out the Fox and Hound week before last.
Even though the rumble was what it was.
And I had not listened to this phone call podcast yet.
It's still in my iPod.
And for those of you worried about our long national nightmare.
I did figure out my problem with the Bob and Tom show in iTunes.
Apparently it's a Windows 7 problem.
Really?
Because one of my PC's in the studios on XP.
And it didn't lock up.
And it was still registered there.
So if you're listening web master at Bob and Tom.com.
Get a Windows 7 fix and please.
Yeah.
I implored you.
I was you're messing with my time table.
Russ says they're on break now.
But other than that.
Okay.
Clean show at Fox and Hound.
Had a great time as we always do.
Build up two rooms for the rumble.
A elimination chamber coming up in three weeks.
A elimination chamber.
Do you not remember that from last year or they spelled it wrong on the sign?
No.
Is that a elimination chamber?
I don't remember.
And it will be our official third anniversary with Fox and Hound coming up.
Actually, that's two weeks away.
We're two weeks away from the chamber.
Yeah.
So.
Well, of course, we'll do our sappy thank yous and all that stuff when we're at Fox and Hound.
But until then,
we're going to play a song you never thought you'd hear again.
We are also a two weeks away from Daytona.
Isn't Daytona in the same day's elimination chamber?
Yeah.
Normally.
I think so.
This year, yeah.
The reason we're talking about NASCAR this early though is they've unveiled while we were on hiatus.
This might be old news to hardcore NASCAR fans.
But.
They've revamped the chase.
And I'm kind of on board with this.
For those of you that don't know, you're still going to have your wreck was it.
Didn't they stretch it to 16?
For the chase itself?
And then each week they're going to eliminate people to their four guys left in the final race.
So.
And those whoever whoever finishes the highest of those four cars wins the chase.
So it's not like.
Accumulated points.
Don't have enough week.
So.
I'm cool with this, but I kind of wish you'd be happy that they were talking about this on TTI.
And Tony Cortez said it was either him or Mike Wilbon.
Oh, you only got a 50, 50 shot, right?
Said why don't we take those four guys and before the final race of the year.
Have them race 50 laps and whoever wins wins the chase and then do the race for everybody for revenue.
Okay.
Because what happens if they all wreck out?
You just take the last guy standing.
Yeah.
I mean, you like it's like if they finish like 28, 30, 34, 39.
The guy who comes in 28 wins the chase.
Yeah.
It's just kind of weird to me.
And I thought let's let's tweak it even more.
And do it survivor style.
Last person to finish date tone up out of the chase.
And do one car a week until you get down to the last one.
Or one car a race because you get a week say take off.
Hey.
Why not?
What does it do with like Americans want to change everything to make it better?
Good.
Good.
Like people on red in or try to, you know, redefine all the NFL divisions or something.
Other things like that.
We left England to make a better England and we made America.
I understand that, especially with the NFL,
I would like my divisions to be more geographically defined.
Why?
Because the Cowboys shouldn't be the NFC East.
That's why.
Sure.
St. Louis should not be in the NFC West.
No, we can't organize until they move back to LA.
We're just going to happen.
And by the way, um, hope everybody staying warm,
wherever you may be listening from.
I'll here in the here in the Metroplex is going to drop another 20 degrees.
Uh, things there might be snow in the detonation area tomorrow.
And I just want to say it.
Smartest man alive.
What would I have been saying for a month and a half?
We got one good freeze left in us and it's coming in the beginning of February.
And it happened last week.
Just say it.
It's happened every year for this three years.
No, it didn't happen last year.
We didn't have this problem last year.
But we did.
The last time we had a problem like this was Super Bowl.
When that was 2010.
No, I love it.
I remember we had a freeze when it was in January last year.
Right.
But I just said we got one good left in us and it's coming in early February.
All right.
So that being said, let's get into the fact that we are.
Your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
So let's get into a little bit of TV talk.
By the way, shout out to some friends of the circuit riders.
CRMM delivered soul ministries.
Grace descending got to do some praise and worship this morning over at DVO church.
Honey blast.
And it was one of those I've been after this past week being this past week's been a pair.
And it was a good way to finish it off and I got three more days in a one vacation.
Now we'll still be on the air next week.
I'm just not going to work after Wednesday until 21st.
So you got a little staycation.
Yeah.
I'm going to go into a very little exotic local known as my couch.
So I'm going to be catching up on my DVR, which means Chad needs to be over here.
Everyone's around so we can get the 22 episodes of unsung that are sitting on my DVR cleared out.
They did well.
I did it a two hour episode just on disco.
Really?
So I'm very interested in how that's gonna go.
But AMC is confirmed that their series based on the Garth Ennis series preacher is in development.
We've talked about it on this show before.
It's an old comic book series that for a while HBO was developing when spawn was there.
They're animated spawn series wasn't very, very big.
Did you ever see that?
Did you ever see that?
The animated spawn?
Yeah.
How much of you upset?
I've got it.
I've got the full series.
It's better than that film that they put out.
The film had moments?
Moments.
That's the only protested ad park.
My favorite part about the film is that I am actually to the press release to say,
we did not do the hell sequences.
We just want everybody to know that.
No bogeo wasn't a small bogeo.
Yeah.
God, that was horrible.
Yes it was.
So if you're fan and free and if not, if you're not a fan, if you don't know what preacher is,
go look it up.
It was a very good series.
Uh, it's not.
If you're, if you're part of the rule, just write probably not going to be your company.
Is it directly connected to the Constantine?
Or does it have nothing to do with it?
Uh, kind of sort it in a way.
Which one?
Well, it could be because Constantine was not the preacher.
But I think Constantine was a spinoff.
Was it, okay, so it was like across over time.
I think so.
It was connected.
It was connected in some way.
So there's that also.
AMC.
Tonight.
Ooh.
Has your daughter gotten the whole of your cousin?
Yep.
So that's taking care.
I made sure that.
Okay.
Because tonight walking dead comes back.
Also tonight comic book men comes back.
Where they deal with the 75th birthday of Superman.
So I missed the entire last season of comic men.
It was okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But men, those are boys.
Yeah.
But I'm not jaded.
I can say when something was not up to par.
I know.
I hated not seeing it because, you know, that's the source of our inspiration for doing the show is Mr.
Smith.
Yeah.
So if you are a fan of the X factor.
I want to say first of all.
I'm sorry.
Second of all.
I'm sorry.
Fox has canceled.
The long running.
Three season.
Show called the X factor.
When you call it long run.
Simon Cowell will be returning to the UK version.
Nice try Simon.
Couldn't get it.
It just couldn't get it.
I just.
I think with I don't being what it was.
I think anything else that he did was going to be.
People were going to expect that.
And that kind of wasn't what the X factor was.
Well, it's just that.
And then, but then you had the voice.
Condundrum.
Like the voice was just killing everything.
X factor.
Okay.
I got pulled into the X factor thing.
Very, very from from the.
From the.
From the.
From the real.
Because, you know, she was a huge fan of the British version.
She's like, oh, this is going to be great.
This going to be great.
And it just.
Wasn't.
It just wasn't.
And at this point, I was already anti.
I don't.
Anyway, I lost interest in.
I had a long time.
You.
You jumped off that train long before I.
Yeah.
And I was like, I just.
No, I just can't.
And I was like, especially if Simon's not going to be that deeply involved.
And I don't care anymore.
And this was Simon's brain.
I won't be any.
And so was I.
But Simon was still involved with the X factor.
But he kept surrounding himself with people who's opinions.
I could care less about.
What do I care what Nicole shares thing or things?
What do I care what Demi Lavato thinks?
What do I care about what Chloe Kardashian has to say about some kid who just got
her heart broken on you.
So hung up on the Chloe Kardashian thing.
What kills me?
It was always the co-stars that they had that was like emceeing everything on the state.
And Chloe Kardashian was such an awful choice because a 13 year old girl would get
her heart destroyed because she just got voted off.
You just got voted off in front of millions of people.
What's going through your head right now?
How bad I want to put a crowbar in your face.
Chloe Kardashian.
That's what's going through my head right now.
Don't ask me this.
You know, she.
She.
She was just a heart.
This was this was a horrible assignment for her.
She was not the right person for this job.
Yeah.
And of story.
But, you know, when Chris Jenner is shoving her kids down in her
pretty throat.
Oh, and Don did want us to be wondering,
remember that Don did bring over some great fried chicken for the Super Bowl.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, we had really great fried chicken last night.
Yes, we did.
Have you saw my post on Facebook?
No, I didn't.
Oh, yeah, I did.
Yeah.
I haven't been to that one.
I haven't been to the babes of Sanger.
It was.
It was.
We're not going to go to Sanger.
It's been through it more than once on my trip.
I'll do it.
I think you've ever stopped.
Why do you said someone you texted me with something about my profile today?
I'm not sure exactly what you were referring to.
Oh, yeah, right at this.
I'll just talk about this after the show because that's like I'm always talking about.
Oh, yeah.
No.
No.
Okay.
So.
We've been talking about this new series.
That I a fox is going to be doing called Gotham.
We talked a couple a week a few weeks ago that there will be the young Bruce Wayne in it.
You will be introduced to some of.
Early versions of who will become some of the villains in Batman's universe.
But within the last 48 hours, we have found out who Jim Gordon's going to be played by.
He'll be played by Southland actor Ben McKenzie, who actually voiced Bruce Wayne or Batman in Batman year one.
Really?
Yeah.
So.
Who will be Lady.
Oh.
Gordon.
This is, I think this is going to be before he gets married.
Okay.
I don't know if he's going to have a married her yet.
And really to me, Batman year one is one of the better DC animated films.
I felt it was really, really good.
Although I have not seen the new one yet.
Justice League Doom came out last week.
I have not just the war war.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You haven't seen Doom either though.
That's a deal.
Yeah.
We're filling in play.
We're talking about it in the car.
Yeah.
But I said, yeah.
I watched it on.
Okay.
I didn't remember if you'd seen it or not.
We just couldn't think of the name of the villain in it.
We still can't think of the name of it.
We never did a fruit.
You have a computer in front of you.
I know, but I'm doing the list right now.
So you'll have to forgive me prepared.
I'm trying to prepare.
Get off me.
I just let the family function.
You're looking.
You're looking.
Showed up.
All right.
Is there a syllable that might have been needed to be in front of that last word?
The baby.
It was like that.
It was like that.
It was like that.
It was like that.
But I had to do it.
And what was the gathering for today?
If you want if you want to do our show that with our listeners?
Well, it was it was for my.
What?
What would my niece's son be related to me?
That would be your second cousin.
No.
No, your niece's son.
Yeah.
That would be your grand nephew.
Okay.
We celebrate.
I don't know.
I mean, the presence or the logic is sound.
But if your second cousin would be the child of your cousin.
Right.
We celebrated his first birthday three weeks late.
Yeah.
He had to strap when he was saying some sections of the universe.
It's still that.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Sunday night.

We're going to try to update that more for you.
But you know, time has kind of not been on my side lightly.

You can follow me on Twitter.
I am at yes that robber.
And that is spelled ERV.
I am at Chad N.P.G.69.
I am at King of Bowling.
Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest.
We're morally obligated to say that.
And Jules Wormick is wherever she wants to be when she chooses to be there.
Whether you like it or not.
So let's play some of this music for the last time for a while.
This is the first Sunday.
Since the middle of August,
that there has been no NFL in any way, shape or form.
And I'm sick.
I hate it.
Is it August yet?
Because this is like the worst time for me.
There's 50 days until spring training.
Again, just another reason.
You don't want spring training?
Spring training is like in three weeks.
Maybe it's a opening day for baseball.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
All the more.
Because I watched the Olympics.
No, because I've got more stuff I've watched.
I just finished last week's CSI.
I got to get through the soup.
Ultimate fighter.
King of the nerd.
That's not true human drama.
And if you say King of the nerd is true human drama,
I'm going to throw this life off.
It's good true human drama.
But it's a good show.
I enjoy its fine work.
I just saw that curl on your lip.
I'm like, he's going to say that King of the nerd is true human drama.
Because it's a competition.
We need to draw.
Don't you drug test on this show.
Um, and then I've got a, you might want to stick around when I decide I'm going to watch last week's Gotham comedy live.
Because there is one, uh, Michael Foley.
Who does stand up?
Can I know who Michael Foley?
Yeah.
He always asked you to have a nice day.
Oh, Michael.
Okay.
He does a set on this new episode.
I've deviated it.
And also tonight.
I love the plays with their names just a little bit.
I don't really recognize who he's talking about.
Sendite is the, uh, the Beatles thing.
Yes.
I have deviating.
But I got to get, we got to get home for the kid and kid.
That's true.
But it's going to be on the DVR, sir.
That's true.
But you know, do you have the story behind me doing that, right?
There was a time on ESPN when Chris Burman, uh,
wasn't allowed to you.
They, they told him he couldn't use his nicknames for people.
And so he said, okay, if I can't do it for, if I can't make these up,
I'm not using anybody's.
So whenever he talk about Babe Ruth, he'd talk about George Herman Ruth.
Okay.
Yeah.
That's where that's where that comes from.
Don't tell me what I can't and can't do.
Exactly.
Don't tell me what I can and can't.
It's like, you're not the boss of, well, maybe you are the boss of.
But, uh, that is your name on the screen.
So something that was supposed to be the Super Bowl happened that week.
It's the bowl where two NFL teams played for the last game of the year.
And I'm still to this point.
I'm still trying to ask myself,
Did Seattle win that game or did Denver lose it?
I'm trying to, I'm still getting lost through that.
See, Seattle's offense looked better.
But that's just because their defense was so dominant that, you know,
it couldn't hardly do anything wrong.
Denver never really had a chance to do anything.
I don't see how Peyton even managed to work up a sweat.
They score in the history of the Super Bowl 12 seconds in as Denver gives up a safety.
Yeah.
Um, I mean, do you really need to go over these numbers?
Because they will tell you one of the one of the things that I took out of it.
Um, Peyton is not a, you know, Richard Sherman gets injured during the game.
And, uh, he said on Twitter the next day that Peyton actually called him Monday morning
just to make sure that he was doing okay.
Oh, yeah.
He said Peyton, Peyton, Peyton, Peyton, man in class act.
Yeah.
So, uh, and then the next day he said the 49ers quarterback is better than the,
Oh, corner captain.
So thoughts, I mean, Chad, you and I have talked about this almost that nausea,
but not on there.
Andrew, you weren't with us as we've told it said at the top of the show.
What were your impressions?
Peyton, Peyton, I don't know.
I don't know if it was just he didn't have the time.
They seemed to, I don't know.
They had five guys blocking four, which, and they did it well.
It's just, I'm just coming off the edges, you know.
Like Chris Clemens, Cliff, a ruler.
I mean, their hands are up so high that I think Peyton could even see his receivers,
even though they're all like six foreign hire outside of Wilker.
Uh, go ahead.
And I think he was just frustrated.
Like I, like I was, I don't know.
See, between him and Brady, I think Brady's a better in-game.
Better in-game.
Or does like decisions in-game.
He can change a game plan.
The audible.
Yeah, the audible didn't even look like they changed their game plan.
They're like, this is what we're coming in with.
And this is what we're going to do all the way through.
Even if it doesn't work.
I guess the Broncos weren't out boxed.
Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, I see you did there.
I see you did there.
Uh, for me, it just got difficult to watch.
Yeah.
I predicted, I predicted Denner 3427.
That was my official prediction.
And, and then I said, take the over.
So at least I got that right.
Because Seattle had the over on their own.
Yeah.
This, this thing was bad.
You know, this, of course, the snowstorms hold off until like three hours after the game.
And so everybody that was trying to get out of New York the next day.
Couldn't, uh, something I was actually going to tweet and ever got around to it is.
People in Arlington, Texas now know how people when East Brotherford New Jersey feel.
Yes.
You want to complain about people say, well, the Cowboys don't play in Dallas.
They play in Arlington.
Think about how the people in New Jersey feel.
Exactly.
You know, when, when, uh, when Pete Carroll in the, in the press conference and the guy from the,
Did you hear about that?
Yeah.
The guy from the city council was like, we don't remind you.
Started to not in New York.
You're new New Jersey.
He's like, yes, but I'm talking for people in the West Coast.
They don't care about that.
Oh, that's awesome.
Wow.
Yeah.
But you know what?
Kudos to the opera lady for singing the National Anthem.
Great job.
Yeah.
And for the people that worked in order.
Well, and half, and for the people that were complaining about the Coca-Cola commercial.
Remember that America, the beautiful is not our national anthem.
You saw that whole tobacco.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was America.
The beautiful.
Not the sparshing of air.
For Twitter is a dangerous, dangerous thing sometimes.
Yeah.
But I would like to see what the rings are going to look like.
Yeah.
Oh, speaking of rings.
We're going to back to the Olympics.
Chad did you see Chad mentioned to me about the opening ceremonies about the,
Wow, that one ring.
Right.
The guy was responsible.
That was kind of dead.
Yes.
And apparently the Russian audience viewing audience never saw the snowflake not open.
The video feeds switch to the rehearsal footage of what the snowflake worked.
Hey.
And apparently he's from when I read he is died of, he was dead from multiple stab wounds.
But they were saying it was accidental accidently stabbed him 147.
What did you, were you cleaning your knife and it went off in your hands?
Yeah.
Like report say they accidentally fell on a set of knives.
Yeah.
Like there was just a set right there.
Are you doing this?
Yes.
Oh dear.
A knife salesman showed up at his door and he sneezed and he opened the brief cave.
Because I remember saying that said, this is going to be an issue.
Wait a month.
This Olympics is going to go down as one of the biggest failed bits in the history of the land.
Got to be pretty hard pressed to beat Atlanta with a bomb going off in the freaking grounds.
If you remember that.
Yeah, but at least the game's worked.
At least.
And there was clean.
At least.
Yeah.
Well, that was only one reporter though.
A lot of people are blowing that out of proportion.
That was one reporter.
But still that's one more of the reporter than the head of Atlanta.
That's true.
So.
But the Super Bowl came in.
We're going to talk about other things.
Super Bowl related when we get to other sections of the show.
But right now we're going to move on and do a little segment on this show that we like to call
P.O.I. which tends for person of interest.
P.O.I. is a section we do on this show where we pick a person or an entity and we
to break their greatness or lack their of the pendulum swings back to me this week.
Well, it never really left me because I had to do both P.O.I. and the list the last time
we were in the studio.
So I've chosen to take P.O.I. this weekend.
Because there's something I want to talk about.
Something that I've been following very closely.
And I know that.
Chad probably could care less.
I second that.
It is the Arsenio Hall show.
I have not missed an episode.
Apparently Tuesday is his birthday.
No Wednesdays is birthday.
It's 12.
So happy early birthday Arsenio.
Assuming someone related to you.
Listen to the show.
But I'm going to go to the show.
But I'm going to go to the show.
But I'm going to go to the show.
But I'm going to be harsh on you.
So I apologize for the head of the time.
I guess my question when it comes to this show.
Because really,
I fast forward his entire monologue.
And any bit.
Like he doesn't think called who you with.
Or they've show a person.
And you have to guess which person is their significant.
Or like he had Drew Carey on Friday night and they said
they had asked Dr. Drew Carey.
And it's become so sticky that anything he does of the audience.
I just think they're all audience plants anyway.
I fast forward to the guests.
And if it's a musical guest, I've never heard of.
I give him 30 seconds enough.
I don't like him.
I fast forward it.
And what I'm trying.
Oh, yeah.
Don does want to bring up Munich in 72.
That was pretty bad.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's something to see in that film.
Me either.
I thought you had me.
Oh, and let's not forget Lil' Hammer 94.
The Carrigan.
Great 30.
Great 30 for 30.
Great 30 for 30.
I don't know if I just have two fond of memories of the original
Arsenal Hall show.
I think that's what it is.
But number one, I don't remember they're being this much racial humor.
No, because I think he was just trying so hard to be accepted.
And now I think he's got, I think it's like it's put a chip on his shoulder.
Where he feels like he's got to be more street.
And that's something to prove again.
But the one of the things I liked about the Old Arsenal Hall show is that he would have guests and
especially musical guests.
That other shows wouldn't have.
You know, he gave exposure to a lot, especially when it came to late 80's early 90's
R&B that the Leno's and the Letterman's of the World wouldn't book.
And he still does that to an extent to his credit.
Those groups don't exist anymore.
Some of them do.
Just like the abundance of talent.
Oh, no, I'll agree with you.
I agree with you there.
Yeah.
And maybe that's just Old Man, Rob and Old Man Andrew talking.
But from an R&B standpoint, you're absolutely right, my person.
And I like it.
Like, you know, MC search from third base has a talk show now.
And he had him on search.
Yeah, but you know what search is.
He's very articulate and very, very intelligent.
I'm not saying he's not just but weird to me.
You know, me is when he said they played the Arsenal Hall show eight times.
I was like, what?
I don't remember them being on their more than once, actually.
But, you know, I may have your kid and play showed up in the audience one night.
And, you know, that's how I discovered Gary Clark Jr.
So, oh, God, that guy's up.
You know.
But I just.
I'm starting to feel this way.
I felt about the Flash Gordon TV series.
It's got to get better.
But it's been six months now.
Almost.
It'd be six months, I think.
No, I think it hit six months the next month.
So almost five.
Five today is a matter of fact.
I just don't care.
Is there any part of the show that's funny?
I couldn't tell you because I fast forward.
Like, and even some of the guests I fast forward,
because the interview becomes so mundane.
And the conversation just feels so stilted.
And it really just burned in.
And God forbid there's somebody from anywhere remotely related,
a Cleveland on that show.
But, uh, I do want you to look something up, Chad.
Okay.
Once you go to IMDB for a minute.
Let me know here there.
I'm there because something happened Friday night.
I had to rewind it to show my wife.
I almost kept it so you could see it.
I want you to look up the new film Vampire Academy.
That came out this past week.
It did.
Yeah.
Yep.
This actually came out Friday.
Now read me the cast list.
Because there's a name I need you to stop on.
Okay.
Can we open it?
Nope.
Okay.
It's to start from the top.
Okay.
He's the lead.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
And apparently she grew up on a ranch in LA, which none of us do that.
Those things existed, but they did.
She had photographic evidence.
Wow.
I'm sure they did it.
And our city has said, I have talked to your mother a number of times.
And she says, yes, you have.
And she said, so go ahead and tell these nice people who your mother is.
She said, my mother is a very talented actress named Leah Thompson.
Wow.
That is her daughter, star.
She's cute.
And they cut to her in the audience.
And I just paused it.
Rebounded like a honey.
I need you to see this because I'm not going to be the only one this house that feels
old.
Yikes.
And so I said, did this set up.
But I said, and then this happened.
And I hit it.
And genuine.
Are you kidding me?
I don't mind.
That is Leah Thompson's daughter.
And yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
All I can say is, wow.
I was like, I'll be over here getting my Jared told him.
You're crying in my.
But I mean, but there's been moments like that where he's had, but there's some guests
that come on that just number one aren't good interviews.
Yeah.
They don't interview well.
There's some people that are to that on that show that to me that are just.
Why?
And then, and some of these are the people that he gives a multiple segments to.
He's lost it.
That's just he's lost it.
That edge is no longer there.
He's just not that guy anymore.
As hard as he's trying to be that guy again.
That ship is sailed.
I mean, it's said, and I didn't want it to be that way.
Because I was always a fan of his show.
But I have to, I have to take it for what it is.
And it ain't that show anymore.
It really isn't.
And it saddens me that it's just not.
Because I know that he wants it as bad as we want it for him.
And it's just not happening.
Is it so bad that now it's at the point no one even wants to touch the show?
I don't know.
I mean, his show run or bailed like within the first couple of years.
We're in the first month or so.
Yeah.
Because I think he even he could see it.
I'm like, I see where you're trying to go.
I can't get in the posy 2.0.
No.
It's like he doesn't want to pay rights for music because it's the same four songs they play in every episode.
It's pitiful.
It's really pitiful.
And yet you know who was sat in with the posy 2.0 Friday night.
And I wanted to throw something at my TV.
Who?
Don Felder.
Yeah.
They come back from break.
And he's playing hotel California.
And I'm like, how dare you.
Oh my god.
How dare you.
And if you don't know what I'm talking about, go watch the history of the Eagles documentary.
This guy is a debug of the highest order.
I tried to make it look like he was such a victim.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You don't have someone writing credit brother.
And I'm telling you, I hope Don Henley show walls and or going for I heard him do that.
So they can make sure that he pays for that song.
Yep.
Now granted, I know that you helped that help, you know, formulate that solo at the end.
But you got no reason to sing that song.
No.
It's just like, uh, Fry said in that documentary.
Sure, the guy wanted to sing.
He's not bad, but we have Don Henley.
Have you ever seen an entrance?
No, I haven't.
Go dude.
It's it's it's three hours.
The whole thing is three hours.
To this on Blu-ray.
It's longer than that.
I think.
Well, what I got on show time, it was three hours.
I've got it.
It's fantastic.
And it's the audio is amazing.
If you've got a good home theater system, it sounds incredible.
It's a three-desk set because the third disc is a show from the hotel California tour.
Yeah.
And it's been reccompletely remastered.
It looks gorgeous.
Oh gosh.
It sounds even better than it looks.
I guess I'll have to get a sound system.
Oh, we're off of it.
It's a paraphrase, uh...
Dennis Lair, I got two words for Don Henley.
Leave it alone, man.
Not Don Henley, but for Don Felder.
Joe Bleep and Rawls.
Okay.
Oh, that's what you're doing.
You're handling it.
And you'll leave that guy.
No, I don't tell alone.
I don't have a problem with Don Henley.
That was a quote from Dennis Lair.
I do think Don Henley is a little more pretentious than he needs to be.
But he can because he's Don Henley.
Now, I'm not paying up 175 bucks.
It's a nosebleed to see where I can watch it on TV.
I can be around living.
Okay.
You can get away with it.
Somebody wants to give me tickets.
I'll go.
Don't want to get away with it.
Don't want to get away with it.
He's getting away with it.
I lost 90% of my tax refund because they put us in a higher tax bracket this year.
So I ain't got the cash.
Luckily, I don't have to pay, but still.
It's a little better about that.
Yeah, just a lot.
And the NFL can still be a not-for-profit organization.
Just say it.
Not at all.
And I fell doesn't pay taxes.
Which is the longest deal.
Thank you Tom Grisswald for giving me that.
I'm not going to get an information that I want to hold on to for the rest of my natural life.
That just tells us we need to make so much money that we're beyond taxes.
Um, okay.
Oh, that's a piece here.
Oh, there we go.
You're always into the clubhouse podcast.
Join us two weeks from tonight.
We're going to talk about that coming up in wrestling talk.
But right now, let's go to music talk.
We're going back to the Super Bowl.
Half-time show.
Bruno Mars.
Well done, sir.
I'm going to start with that.
But I want to talk about these guys for a minute.
Wednesday, somebody puts a picture on Twitter showing that fleece base was not even plugged into anything.
I forgot to put it in look at that.
Well, here's the deal.
And I understand the logic behind it.
Because the chili peppers have only lived synced one time in their entire career.
And it was so bad that they made so much fun and it didn't even air on European television.
But the logistics when you have that kind of instrumentation of getting the sound set and all the levels right right away is very difficult to do.
So the vocals were live.
But the instrumentation was pre-recorded.
But we couldn't at least put a wire plugged into it to at least give the illusion that maybe fleece plan.
Oh, like they said they didn't want to play the way.
But just make it look that way.
Because you know somebody's going to find it.
Now whether Bruno Mars' band was playing or not, I don't know.
And I know that Chad Smith, the specialized drum kid he had for the Super Bowl,
they're actually auctioning that off of charity.
Oh, that's cool.
That was a pretty good little drum kid.
And he did challenge welfare to a drum.
God.
But I just, I don't know.
That was weird for me.
Because as much as I love the chili peppers, and I do.
Did I need their 92nd bit?
I don't think it was necessary.
That was weird for me.
Like I was excited going out.
I was like, it's the chili peppers.
They're going to blow the roof.
Oh, they're gone already.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
Okay.
It was like the destiny child pulled on quote reunion last year.
Mm-hmm.
It just felt shoehorned in just for the sake of it being a talking.
How long was Bruno Mars?
He played the whole rest of the deal.
In my opinion, not long enough.
Because that dude's a beast.
Play the drum solo, right?
To be getting of it.
That was excellent.
And people were criticizing him for that.
Seriously criticizing him for that.
I'm like, why?
Didn't he just like Michael Jackson or something?
No, he looked like James Brown.
He was like James Brown.
He was like James Brown and Elvis Presley combined.
Because he had like a gold mermaid suit on.
But, you know, that's the exact same get-up that you were.
I can't remember what a wardrobe was.
Three years ago on the Grams.
Yeah.
Whenever they were doing a dedicated, they were doing like a tribute to Amy Winehouse.
Yeah.
And it was almost the same kind of thing.
And he tore the roof off that.
Wow.
That's what got me.
I was like, this dude's a for real.
Very incredibly talented.
I thought he did a great job.
But, you know, for almost a year, this has been announced.
You know, everyone was just upset that it was just Bruno Mars.
So, we're expectations so low.
But, I don't think expectations are low because a lot of people know that he can bring it.
Yeah.
It was just shoe hoarding the chili peppers in there was really weird for me.
It just seemed odd.
Didn't they go into, like, silver leaf or something?
That's something silver leaf by, uh...
No, all they played was this song right here.
Oh, really?
They just played, give it away.
Oh, okay.
And didn't even play the whole thing.
Oh, okay.
And I guarantee you, have the people that were standing on that field had no idea who they were.
I'm just saying.
But overall, good half time show.
Great SNL sketch though, the night before.
Where they did a bit where Bruno Mars and the chili peppers were,
where their planes got ground into, they couldn't make it for the Super Bowl.
Uh-huh.
So, they took a bunch of people from Broadway to do the half time show.
Holarious.
Holarious.
Just go, go check it out on YouTube after the show.
It's all I'm saying.
Okay.
One of the greatest openings to a rock song in history right here.
Motley crew this week announces that they have signed a legally binding document that says after this tour,
where Alice Cooper will open for them,
and the tours call the all bad things must come to an end tour.
That none of them can use the name for any other project ever in the history of ever this thing is done.
Although Vince says they might do some studio work, but they're not touring again.
It's a pleasure touring this time.
Oh, barbed wire.
He's got new knowledge to drop next week, because this means we're booking barbed wire for the show next week.
That would be nice.
I'm putting it out there, sir.
He's in the chat room.
You're going to be here, sir. You're going to be here. So I'm saying.
It's going to be here in the middle of July at our outdoor amplifier,
where we saw them the last time.
It's got to be better.
It was then, at least don't be frigid outside, hopefully in July.
But I did hear a conference call on Bob and Thomas this past week with,
with Tommy Lee and Alice Cooper,
where they were talking about it.
And I'm not saying Tommy Lee took a dig at other bands when he went,
no, we promised. Unlike other bands, we're saying this is it.
He says he's booked barbed wire's booked on the show next week.
You heard it here for a sports fan.
See you here, brother.
I just, I don't know.
Part of me wants to see this thing.
No interest.
After seeing in that time with Arrow Smith,
Yeah, but it got so cold out of nowhere.
It wasn't the, it wasn't the temperature.
It was vent sounded awful.
Vents Neil sounded awful.
And that was how many years ago?
Oh, it had to have been O7.
No, it was O6 because it was before we met Charlotte.
Okay, it was the year before it was O6.
So can we honestly hope that
Vince has gotten better in the last eight years, hopefully?
Again, I'd go instead on the lawn of the lawn.
See, it's a reportable.
We did sit on the lawn.
But it was over y'all.
But it was the 19th degree.
Oh, zero that night.
It's your Dallas weather.
Okay.
But I mean, it was that maybe remember that November,
we're just out of nowhere.
The temperature dropped 40 degrees,
and then rebounded the next day.
That was the night of Motley crew in her Smith.
At the at the start, Blacks.
Oh, really?
And I don't remember it being as bad through Arrow Smith said.
But it was brutal during the cruise said.
But it was Arrow Smith.
That was one of the first 10 rows kept nice and warm with all
the pyro that crew throughout then.
I just like this song.
It's fun to play on Rock Band.
Mariah Carey fans.
Cook it.
Cook it.
Cook it.
Get ready.
Her new single will be performed on the today show this week.
It'll be called B-Mine.
The new album will be called the Art of Letting Go.
But there's no release date in set.
Can't wait to see it.
Yeah.
Sorry.
I can't wait for you to tell me about it.
I want a future show.
Let me just say it's not on my team.
It's not on my team.
I like the Mariah.
It was funny.
You're a loud one every once in a while.
But just remember this one.
Because I might cash it in before the end of the show.
Or wait till a day that you'll forget you ever set it.
It's no dig at you.
It's just okay.
Wait to hear y'all say he would go with me to remotely crew.
He's a crewhead.
I'm not.
I'll go with you.
I don't want to.
I don't want to pay for fun.
I know for a fact.
One person that was involved in the show at one time would go.
I didn't see it.
I don't want to sit on a show at the show.
Exactly.
But my question is though.
How long is that intermission going to be?
Because you know Koop Alice Koopers not just going to do a straight set.
There's going to be effects involved in his too.
I don't know if I want to sit through an Alice Koopers set personally.
I don't like enough of his music to want to sit through a live show.
It is.
He's a better part of 70 still out there getting it done.
No disrespect to the guy.
I'm not a fan of his music.
New music releases this Tuesday.
In wherever you get your music from.
Country artist popular with the kids with the clothes in the hair, Eric Church.
Releases the outsiders.
I don't have anything by him in my collection.
Let's see.
All I have by her is karaoke.
Releases the truth.
And the lead singer of this band.
Can't believe you didn't know who this was when I mentioned his name two weeks ago.
Why would I know his name?
Because you're an 80's person like me.
I know the name of this band.
I don't know who the members of the band are.
I can barely remember the name of the derandorans members for the love of God.
Neal Finn.
Who you knew from what?
Who you actually knew the name from what?
He sang the closing credits song for the first Hobbit film.
Oh, I don't know.
The misty mountain.
Yeah.
That misty mountain hop was the set point.
Obviously.
Move on.
One of the great songs of our time.
It's all I'm saying right here.
Oh, I won't debate that.
Love this song.
You graduated the year.
This song came out.
This was pretty much your graduation song.
This is 87.
So that was your senior year, wasn't it?
88 was my son.
I thought you graduated before I got the high school.
That was my, no.
I'm just saying, I'm making an age crack.
I just thought you graduated the year before I came in the hospital.
Not my freshman year.
I think this was playing at my fourth birthday voice.
That was a crack.
And it's going to be, oh, it's going to be played at your funeral tomorrow.
I'm sorry, kid.
That was funny.
Because he was talking for, I even took that as being old.
Because we were both in the one year we both shared high school.
Was this year?
So, like he said, it's all right.
I'll allow you one.
Let's move on and do some basketball talk.
Hey, that's going to suck.
So Chad, what do you know about the Cleveland Lakers game the other night?
Nothing.
Andrew, you know what I'm going with that.
The Lakers as we know,
depleted a little bit with injury.
They took the court with five players.
Five.
Do you know what the average, what you should have on your bench in the NBA is?
Eleven.
Can they do that?
Well, you got five guys to be on the floor.
Yep.
One of the guys actually fouls out because they only had five guys.
There's a rule of the NBA rule book that said he could continue to play.
But every foul was a team foul from that point forward.
You oughta back to go to the line.
Wow.
During the second quarter, Steve Nash, who is dressed in a suit on the bench.
Actually, went to the lock.
No.
Changed into his suit.
No.
And they still be Cleveland by almost climbing my guys.
The next day, Cleveland fires their GM.
Yeah.
You would think.
And by the way, Mocheeks fired today in Detroit.
Really?
What?
Mocheeks was fired today.
It's first year in Detroit.
They've got a 21 and 29 start.
He was fired today.
They've been doing good, isn't it?
And they're like one of the best rebounding teams in the league.
I like Mocheeks.
Mocheeks always gets the pass from me because what he did for that little girl that lost
the words to the national anthem when he coached in Portland.
Do you never see that footage when he did what the Portland would be coached.
How do you?
What's coaching?
He was setting things on fire in the SS style.
Urban dictionary.
But when he was the head coach of the Portland Trailblazers, there was a little girl.
She couldn't have been older than maybe nine.
And she's singing the national anthem.
And she completely froze up.
And Moe just walked over and put his arm around her and started singing the song with her.
He gets a pass for me from life just for that.
And he's a nice guy.
I mean, but I guess if Mike Brown can get a second shot in Cleveland.
There's so desperate they thought getting him back there would make LeBron want to go there at the old season.
I don't know.
Let's go to standings.
In the Western Conference.
North West Division because Oklahoma City is in the northwest.
Utah, 7 and 33.
They are 22 and a half games back right now.
And it's the, by the way, next weekend, all start game.
Rust says, law and seats for crew is going to be 25 bucks.
Have fun with that.
With the fees is about 60, but I'm just saying.
And parking, it's about 9.
Minnesota, 6 and a half games better than Utah, but still 16 games out.
Denver, 15 games out.
Only Portland and Oklahoma City in this division are above 500.
Denver, one game below it.
Portland is four games behind Oklahoma City who buy the way kids are 41 and 12.
They're expected to do that this year.
In the Pacific Division, the Sacramento Kings also 17 and 33.
Also 22 and a half games back.
I think the conference are 16 and a half back in the division.
The Lakers are a half game better than Sacramento right now.
Golden State in the middle of the pack, their four games back.
Phoenix is three and a half games behind the Clippers.
In the southwest division, the New Orleans.
For the cans, who by the way have pulled the mascot.
Really?
The mascot is done.
If only they could have happened for the Cowboys in Rattie.
No.
Rattie doesn't look like a serial killing animal.
No, it looks like a serial killing.
Cowboys just is.
New Orleans 22 and 27, their 14 games back.
Memphis is five games better than them.
Your Dallas Mavericks are only nine games above 500 and they are 10 out in the division.
Houston now three games behind San Antonio.
Who is 19 and six on the road.
But Houston's one five straight Dallas is one four straight.
In the eastern conference.
In the Atlantic Division, Philly 15 and 36.
But Detroit's going to fire motifs.
11 and a half back.
How bad is that when you're 21 games below 500 and you're 11 and a half back in the division?
The better.
Boston is three games better than them.
New York is 20 out.
And as much as Brooklyn's complaining, they're still three and a half games better than.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
New York's six and six and a half out.
Boston eight and a half out.
Brooklyn is only three games behind Toronto right now, which is weird to say Toronto's leading
in a division.
Yeah.
But in the central division.
Miller walk hey is nine and forty one right now.
Wow.
And you tell a look like they were going to be the worst thing in the NBA.
Yeah.
They're 30 and a half games.
Mill walkie may be the new America's favorite game show.
There's some new stuff.
We'll reserve that till after the All Star Break.
Cleveland.
It's eight games better than Miller walk hey Detroit middle of the pack.
They're 18 and a half back.
But again, when you're the bulls and you're 14 and a half back because you're in a division with the Indiana
Pacers who, oh yeah, by the way, are 24 and two at home.
Yeah.
And we're 15 and eight on the road.
Yeah.
And they've won four straight.
Yeah.
I just.
Indiana reminds me of the sea hocks.
Yeah.
Until this year.
Show me something in the playoffs.
Yeah.
I think they've got a good team.
They got.
They got death now.
Kind of a lot of games up to play man.
That's true.
In the southeast division, the Orlando Magic 15 and 37.
They're 21 and a half back.
Charlotte is seven and a half better than them.
The Washington bullets.
I can't call them wizards because especially if they change the logo again.
Yeah.
11 back Atlanta now.
10 back on Miami.
Miami 24 home this year.
Wow.
Why did they have to change the bulls?
Because wasn't it just two hands that come up for the hills?
Yeah.
Grabbing a basketball.
Because it wasn't bullet.
That's why they changed it to the wizard.
Because when I think magic, I think DC.
I think you see.
I think bullets.
Yeah.
Oh, what's the murder case?
They were.
They're trying to do a void.
They're trying to change their opinion.
I'm like, no, it's a fact.
Not really.
I'll be right back, gentlemen.
Talk amongst yourselves.
Thank you.
So what comes after 75?
76.
That's a spirit.
Haha.
Oh my god.
Wow.
And obscure.
Stuja's reference for those of you not being attention.
Yeah.
My DVR every Saturday morning.
It's almost full because there's like 6 to 10 episodes that are pre-recorded.
I mean, get them on DVD man.
I love them when they've got a green room again.
That's, I love the way they've got those things released.
I have to show it to you sometimes.
I've got everything up to where shim takes over.
Okay.
So before we leave basketball talk, do we want to talk about this?
Texas Tech Oklahoma State thing.
Okay.
Why not?
Last night, Texas Tech playing Oklahoma in college basketball.
Oklahoma State player leaving the courts.
Shubs a fan.
True story.
I saw it.
The player who's last name is Smart.
Something he's definitely not a bit.
That's not a bit.
That's the actual last name.
What Marcus Smart has been suspended for three games by the big 12.
But apparently now it's coming out that the fan who was an older gentleman may have used some racial slurs.
Oh boy.
Not an excuse, but you're not a quality individual either for say to said thing.
That's all I'm saying.
I mean, I guess the, I mean, he put his hands on a fan.
You have to, there has to be disciplinary action.
Yeah.
Maybe with an asterisk.
They just showed it on Sports Center.
Is there an asterisk next to that though?
Because the fan is actually, the fans admit it in a polygiast.
Yeah.
It's like, I'm just saying exactly.
You know, but maybe he can't, you know, go to any more games in the Lubric Arena for the next year.
Or is that pronunciation?
Okay.
I'd say, well, if you don't drink.
I've got good friends with tech fans.
I could say that.
If you don't drink, then it is because what else is there you do?
If there's a babes around there, I'm just going to hang out there while y'all are playing.
Babes chicken dinner house.
All right.
You are listening to the Clubhouse podcast.
We are your one stop shop for all the sports and entertainment.
By the way, if you are enjoying what you're hearing and you think, you know what?
I'd like to have this lunacy at my particular place of business.
First of all, okay.
And secondly, you want to email the official fact checker of the show.
He is Don at the Clubhouse podcast.com.
If you want to give us, make sure on iTunes.
Go ahead and give us a review on this show.
We had to reset our feed this year.
So we only got one review up there.
So we need some more reviews.
Give us some five stars.
But be honest.
But you can also email me.
I am Rob at the Clubhouse podcast.com.
I am Chad at the Clubhouse podcast.com.
We do answer our emails.
We just don't get a lot of them.
Um.
Well, it's the first tip to solving your problems
and making sure you have one.
But let's combine their two things.
Sports and entertainment as we talk pro wrestling.
It is announced this week that Ed just welcome the new addition to his family.
I see now officially has a baby mama.
And when I told Chad who the baby mama was last night, he was all shocked.
I saw a hit Andrew.
Do you know who the baby mama is?
I'm guessing my draw made draw.
Let's go ahead and just do this.
That's it.
Is officially Ed just baby mama.
Yeah.
Wow.
Didn't see that one.
No.
I read that.
I was like, did I read it?
Yep.
There it is.
Oh.
Well.
I wasn't going to tell him until I until tonight.
But last night I was like, okay, I got to tell him.
Because I don't want him to freak out in the middle of the show.
Well, the baby's probably going to have a lot of hair.
Yeah.
Maybe you'll have a beard before it's four.
And Ed will definitely have a defined jawline.
Yes.
It's got his.
His.
His.
And her.
Hers is that.
His is a lot.
His was more deadly.
He was pretty chiseled.
Congratulations to those kids.
Just two kids trying to make it in this world.
God bless them.
Young bucks that they are.
So now we're hearing that Lesnar may appear at elimination chamber.
But he is a lock for WrestleMania.
Oh.
Whether or not he will wrestle the undertaker.
He's going to be there.
He's going to be involved in some way.
She's okay.
If he's there.
He's going to be meaningful.
Your presence has to be.
What is anything Brock Lesnar's been involved with the meaningful.
Well, I guess when he goes to his gym to work out.
I'm just saying.
Looks like he's married.
And speaking of the undertaker.
Oh, why you got to play this thing.
Because I know that gets that reaction.
He is scheduled for the February 24th Raw, which is the night after elimination
chamber and the debut of the network, which we're going to talk about here
in just a little while a little bit deeper.
Getting ready for WrestleMania.
You ready, chat?
Can we ready for that?
We're WrestleMania.
Oh, for the return of your leader.
If it will indeed mark the return, I'm hoping it's they're getting off.
Close to each one tomorrow night.
And heard nothing about it.
So that's the official word that I'm hearing now.
He will return on the February 24th.
As far as I know, he should be fine.
And I'm not ready anything to the contrary.
Show.
Let's talk about Raw.
We don't have a lot of notes on wrestling this week.
This all three of these shows were terrible this week.
I didn't get to see you.
So now I'm starting to wonder.
We've talked about for gosh for how many weeks now about the what it's supposed to be.
The uh, um, russ is just put some in the chat room.
I don't who verified that.
Is that going to be verified tomorrow night on Raw sir?
Um, we talked about the what we thought was going to be inevitable face turn for Antonio Cesaro.
But now I'm starting to wonder is it going to be swagger instead?
Because he's been kind of getting bullied around a bit by the zip culture.
Is this where we're going?
So he's going to turn on Zeb.
And his.
And his whole xenophobic rant is going to be solely backed up by somebody.
Not from this country.
Okay.
But he's a real American.
That's wrestling logic.
Mark up.
Um, fighting for the rights of all.
Yeah.
Fighting for your rights and your star-spangled Fights.
God.
And cue it up, Rob.
Go ahead.
Let's verify those lyrics.
This miss thing is he is he is he.
Is he heal again?
Because it's like he just walked out.
He's like, why do you have Zack writer and whoever the heck he was wrestling and I'm not on the show?
And they just walked away.
It's weird.
Like I was.
It was...
It was very strange.
Okay.
Now that we have some breaking news or statement from the Texas Tech fan, Jeff Or.
Who says he called Mr. Smart a quote piece of crap and quote.
But didn't I exactly raise a racial slipper any kind?
You're still jerk-wad.
Yeah, I didn't say it.
And if that's the case, Mr. Smart needs to grow a little bit thicker skin.
Yeah, this kind of looks like to be in his ear, like, in his mid-50s.
Like, this isn't like a frat skin.
You're being generous.
Yeah, just say it.
And now I'm also starting to wonder,
are we going to turn the whole shield face?
I hope not.
Because how does that six-man attack in elimination chamber going to work?
Are they going to feud with the riots?
Yeah, they're going to do it.
It's going to be a six-man attack in elimination chamber.
Oh.
So how's that going to work?
I don't know what to do.
Oh God, I don't mind.
Yeah, I don't mind.
I didn't know what to do.
I didn't know what's coming, sir.
Please pardon me.
And Chad made me write this down because AJ Lee may have had the line of the night.
When she's on commentary.
Oh.
And she says, so Naomi challenged me on the app.
Hey Cole, how do I download that again?
Yeah, how about fell off the couch?
She has instant receipt.
No matter what.
She did my meltdown for me.
Thank you, AJ.
Thank you for saying what need to be said.
But the genius of it was, did you notice what happened right after?
No.
Dead silence.
Nobody said a word.
Nobody said a word.
That's because it is still real to them.
It was just like everybody went.
I looked at him and he was like not moving.
And it's like you're not writing that down.
Write it down.
Let's move on.
Talk a little bit of total non stop action.
Is that kind of sorted?
What they call it anymore?
Apparently so Moe Joe versus Magnus for the TNA world heavyweight title will be the main event for lockdown.
So, coral gables get ready for that.
Oh wow.
Didn't they wrestle one two months ago or something?
Or is this a lot?
I think that was part of the tournament though.
Oh.
For the title.
But I did read an interesting article this week.
Remember about a month ago on this show we talked about how Toby Keith was in the running to be one of the partners to buy TNA and he backed out, right?
From what I'm reading now, apparently, Dixie's daddy who owns the thing, right?
He wanted to put a stipulation into the sale that said Disney would still be president of the company and still have rights to an honor or character.
And Jared and Toby Keith went.
Now that's why Jared quit.
And that's what that was the deal breaker for Toby Keith.
He didn't want anybody to have creative control.
And so rumors in the wind are now that Jared and Toby Keith are going to start their own promotion.
Wow.
Oh god.
If that happens, you heard it here first.
Yeah, just saying.
I do my research people.
So we move on to Thursday night impact.
And just for the record, I did cram impact and smacked out into last nights.
How did you do that?
I got to bet about midnight.
But I do it for the kids.
Stop.
I do it for this show because this show has an expectation that all three shows are going to be covered.
And that's why we do.
Okay, that answer I can deal with.
I do it for this show.
If you say I do it for the kids one more time.
We do it for kids.
Which kids?
Okay, so they close in the hair.
Are you ready for a little bit of wrestling logic?
Like there are.
The show starts with a monster's ball match because they can't call it a hard core match.
Between Abyss and Eric Young.
Why can't they call it a hard core match?
I don't know they just don't.
Eric Young.
Shirtless.
Abyss.
Where's the vest?
Kind of like Mick Foley did.
Did anybody really think that Eric Young was going to take the thumb tack bump?
Really?
That was a nice spot because Eric Young power pumped the crap out of him.
What he reversed about the top row.
That's still.
But then at one point Eric Young had a mouthful of thumbtacks and was spitting him at Abyss.
Like, ah, no.
Thank you.
No.
That's not no.
They could not pay me enough to do that.
No.
And since we missed last week.
I don't know if you saw what happened Andrew.
There was a mystery new investor who was unveiled on two episodes ago.
Interesting.
Oh my god, you've got to be kidding me.
Oh.
No, sir.
Why?
Why?
MVP.
A dreadless MVP.
He's gotten rid of the dreads and he's got to got the short.
Short Afro going.
It looks great.
But apparently, you can still call him MVP because he owns the gimmick.
Really?
But it was kind of neat because the American wolves, like they knew who it was and they
came out.
And then I just heard ticking and I'm like, and he came out and he just held up his chain
that has the 305 on it.
And he just held and that was the end of last week's impact.
Oh, that was cool.
I was like, okay.
I can see where this is going.
Well, then this week he comes out to cut his first promo.
And he says he's back.
I'm like, did he ever work for the company?
I don't know.
Did he say he's better than ever?
No, he didn't.
I'm saying goodness.
But.
So now we're going to do this.
Dixie's the heel owner.
He's the face owner.
Thing.
Kind of got talent.
It's not a wrestle.
Yeah.
And apparently from what I'm reading, the time he spent in Japan for the last three or four
years or how long he's been gone.
His wrestling has greatly improved.
Really?
It really does.
The sources are saying his, his time in Japan.
I don't remember being that bad to begin with.
They said, but they said his technical wrestling has very much improved.
But you're never.
Whatever happened to children.
You've been talking about the technical wrestling.
What happened to him?
He was an RLH last night.
Him and Charlie House were both in RLH last night.
I mean, they came in and their first match in RLH won the tag titles.
I mean, they came in right away.
Yeah.
And I want to.
Favourite.
He tries so hard to be street God bless him.
But he cuts a promo and I'm not hitting you.
This is how the promo started.
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
I take a look at my life and realize there's nothing left.
And I went to, he just called coolio.
Yep.
From 1997.
I believe he did.
So he's living in a gangster's paradise.
I was just like the next person I see.
I'm going to put in this coffin and it was curry man.
So there's that.
So let's move on and talk a little bit more WWE headlines.
So this past week I decided I'm going to take.
I'm going to take the plunge.
I'm going to be a day one WWE network guy.
If for no other reason, because there's a few reasons.
But really.
We've got to have it for material on the show.
Because I want to be able to give the network a fair assessment on this show.
10 bucks is a small price to pay for that with a six month commitment.
You'll notice they're showing that in a small print now.
It's 9.95 a month with a six month commitment.
Oh wow.
So I don't know if they're going to try to charge everybody's 60 bucks at one time.
Or how that's going to work.
But.
I was like, okay, I'll just pre order it now.
You can't.
You can't order the network until 9 a.m. Eastern on February 24th,
which is the day it debuts with raw goes off the air.
Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Yeah.
Why wouldn't you take.
Pre orders.
If for no other reason.
Give people maybe a limited selection of things they can watch.
So you can truly test the servers.
Because I'm going to make a statement on this show right now.
That first night.
It's going to be like the opening night for the PS4.
Yeah.
I'm telling you now.
Losses.
Yeah.
It's going to be because their servers are going to crash.
It's going to happen.
I don't even feel sorry for them.
I don't even feel sorry for them.
They're inviting it upon themselves.
If you have it learned from previous launches in the past of anything.
Now, is it possible that maybe they've done enough testing?
And they're going to be okay.
The possibility exists.
But what you don't see right now or what you don't hear on this show is me holding my breath.
Why wouldn't you give people hey?
We're going to go ahead and give you access to everything we've done in the last 12 months.
Just because we want to make sure we can handle the bandwidth.
They're going to crash that server on 24th.
I'm telling you now.
And people are going to freak out.
Oh, don't say they've been saying 999 a month for a 6 month commitment from the beginning.
I just saw it for the first time like weaker two ago.
I didn't even know there was a commitment to it.
Yeah, I just thought it was 999.
So I'm going to be, I'll be watching this very, very closely.
Are we going to have access to everything with that amount?
Yeah.
And the big question a lot of people have been asking WWE is,
Will I be able to watch over the edge 99?
Which is the the Owen pay per view.
You will have access to it, but it will be heavily edited.
It's what they are saying now.
I have it on video chat, take it for me.
Yep.
I have it on a video tape in the green room right now.
Really?
Yes.
And it follows a just box where the comedy hour don't ask me why.
It just does.
It just happened to be the tape I gave him to you.
But I mean, if I remember correctly, you really didn't see much.
I mean, the most difficult thing to get through was was the Jeff Jarrett,
Deborah McMichael.
What I'm thinking is going to edit that out and they're going to edit out the,
the, the, the, we make cut to the announced desk and JR saying this is not an angle.
This is not a story line.
I think any mention of the incident will probably be edited out.
But you will have, you will be able to watch Ben Watfordage.
Really?
There will be Ben Watfordage available with a disclaimer saying these are characters.
So there will be parental controls on it.
That's good.
But if you have access to every paper view in the history of ever.
How do you not do this?
Yeah.
When am I going to have to fuck?
I mean, but that's the thing.
But I'm not saying the thing on most interested in is the Monday night worse thing.
Because you know how much I loved that on WWE classic sound demand.
We're going to show you raw and nitro that aired the same night.
Yeah.
Also, I'm really hoping they bring those wrestling round tables until availability.
Because I really liked those.
We're good.
Those were a lot of fun to watch.
So the handful I watched over here with you was very informative of nothing else entertaining,
but very informative.
So the question now comes in.
Oh, we actually, we haven't even talked about this.
Right now, and this is going to be spoilers.
So if you don't want spoilers,
mute your computer for about the next 30 seconds in 5, 4, 3, 2,
don't say the one.
The plan right now is to have Daniel Bryan when the elimination chamber win the title,
and then it turns into a triple threat at WrestleMania.
Just like WrestleMania 20 was, we've been while won the title.
If that doesn't go through, because they don't want to have two triple threats on the card,
the other triple threat that's a backup involves these guys.
The shield versus the shield versus the shield.
Now if that doesn't happen, if they end up doing the triple threat for the title,
and Chad's getting very giddy over there right now.
I know he is.
You will have the Roman Reigns face turn before WrestleMania,
because he's going to take on this guy.
That's, that's a great push.
You can't, you can't get a big one right now.
That's about as big of a push as you can get.
Yeah.
Oh, Ross wants to know how you enjoyed the CD.
Very good.
Very well put together, man.
I'm still in the car.
There were some left turns on that CD.
I'm like, how'd you go from that to that one?
Okay.
Roman Reigns triple H.
If you're that kid, do you really want that right now?
But I would, you say no.
That how do you say, how do you say, how do you say no to that?
I'm not saying you say no, but if you're that kid, you're just like,
bring me an extra pair of shorts because I'm probably going to need it.
Was this script written pre-CM punk?
No, but the PM, the CM punk quitting thing has kind of thrown a lot of
booking into it, Tizzy.
Yeah.
Because we don't know what to do with it now.
So we don't do without him now.
Yeah.
So this is maybe why he's getting this big push now.
Has Batista responded to any of this stuff, by the way.
He's going to be the main event in the ring.
No, no, no, no.
In the aftermath of CM punk saying, screw this.
I have not heard that he's released this statement.
That's what I'm really interested to hear.
How he feels about this or does he just not can't?
Well, I think Batista realizes he's not just talking about him.
No, he's not.
But he's the flavor of the month that he's talking about.
Yeah, he's the current story.
Right.
Because we know he's talking about the rock.
And we know that Batista's who he's directly.
And that's what's up in an interesting point in our live chat room.
Where he talks about how he doesn't like that.
When you have a paper view name for TLC or hell in the cell,
you only have one match of that on the card.
Yeah.
He thinks that you should have the widest versus the shield as an elimination chamber.
That's what I'm talking about.
Yeah, but that one might be kind of fun because it's kind of war gamesy.
Just bring battle games.
I'm telling you that blue race.
I think it could be awesome.
I still have to see it.
So I've got it.
It's really good.
Do you think you think WWE could handle war games?
Yes.
Do they have the creative to put together a good war games?
Why not?
If they can do survivor series is the same basic premise just without everybody being the right
at the same time and silver series.
Was there an actual survivor series?
Yeah.
There was a couple of them.
Did I survive?
Uh.
Thought there was only one.
Don't ask what's new on the CM Punk front.
I have not heard anything recently.
Apparently they just did a video on WWE.com about all of the guys that were popular
in ROH that had careers.
And it was real heavily CM Punk and they took all of his stuff out of it.
Wow.
So, Vince and H are apparently at odds because Vince wants him there.
H really doesn't.
So Vince wants H to reach a deal and H is like, do I have to?
And I'm Vince.
I'm like, yeah, you do.
Yeah, yeah.
Last time I checked I'm still Vince and I'm just kidding.
You may run enough and yet.
H is a great talent, but he is all about himself.
Yeah.
That's all about himself.
Yeah, that wants to follow that.
Let me finish 24 first.
And then I'm going to watch the rest of that because it's like seven and a half hours
all.
Oh wow.
So yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's talk about.
Oh, by the way.
The guy that does the theme for the riots.
Mark Crozier and the Rels.
They're going to perform his theme live at WrestleMania.
And you may not know who he is, but he actually toured with a band called the Jesus
and Mary Chain.
If you remember them.
I remember them.
Yeah.
So he'll be performing the theme live.
That's who that is.
We now know.
Let's talk about SmackDown just a little bit.
I just like to nominate something.
And I'm going to get a feeling in the room.
So I had a dance that there was only one survivor series match.
That that survivor series match.
Yep.
Yeah.
Can we just go ahead and change King's entrance now?
Yeah.
So we should.
Yeah.
I mean.
Now, Daniel Bryan cut a heck of a promo on him Friday night.
Said go back there.
Grab the mask out of that nice little red case and become the doubles over demon again.
Wow.
I'm conflicted because I wouldn't mind seeing it.
But I really don't need to see it.
Yeah.
Well, but you don't do it.
Do you want to keep seeing this?
Do you want to keep seeing this came?
That's fair point.
But there's no reason why he's doing what he is now.
Is it?
I mean, no real good reason.
But I mean, the scenes age is trying to talk him into becoming a road agent.
Because he really does know a lot about the business.
And I'm okay with that.
But is he ready to step away from a ring in behind the camera?
Well, I don't see it.
Obviously it's not.
I'm like a mission.
Maybe we're you.
I mean, he's a great shape.
Yeah, I could not believe it.
Well, how good of a shape.
He was like, am I going blind?
Or am I seeing definition in his abs for the first time?
Like ever.
Yeah.
I think a lot of people in the room were saying the same things we were.
Whoa, look at that.
Hmm.
Now, he uses the phrase DDP yoga.
I'm like throw something.
But also tight is so kneel.
The new Tony Atlas?
No.
I don't know if he saw his promo on SmackDown, but he was probably two pitches away from
a.
A.
A.
A.
That's all I've got from SmackDown.
That's all.
Just.
But no.
SmackDown.
Wow.
Just terrible.
Yes, we just use the word, but no.
On this $5 Colletower.
Look at it.
Look at it.
Look it up.
Dictionary.com.
But not right now, because you're listening to the show.
Because you are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
on cast, live every Sunday,
seven Easter and four Pacific unless the Superbowl's on.
Open a new cast.
Make sure you check our website out,
www.theclubhousepodcast.com.
You can actually listen to our show there
and make sure that you tell people about this show.
There's only been 200 and three of them.
Just say it.
And that doesn't count special missions, but let's go ahead.
I'm gonna nominate something in the room.
Starting in season five,
I think we should have a total episode count.
Not just the weeklies.
I've got no issue with that.
But special additions are important too.
Yeah.
It's a show night.
Well, some of them are.
I'm talking about the non Sunday special additions.
Like when the show was on Saturday
and we do a Saturday Sunday show.
Okay.
Like for Hobbox and Hound,
and when the show was on Tuesday,
or like a...
And of course, our Superman.
Ah, yeah.
Two, six, six, six.
That was my next question.
Donsets correction.
We're two survivor series matches
at the last pay for you.
The shield in the real Americans won,
but there was a diva survivor series,
but that doesn't...
I don't know.
I can't know.
No, no, no, no.
Wow.
But tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends,
and they'll tell two friends, and we want to grow the empire.
We think all of you that do listen to this show,
you guys do mean a lot to us.
I'm just saying.
And we write the invasions of a saint.
Right now, we're gonna move on.
We do a little hacky talk,
especially since they're officially on the break
for the Olympics, for something of Olympic proportions,
as like great Richard Jennings said.
It's Olympic competition.
That's right, I'm on the competition.
Western conference.
I still hate this two-division thing.
In the Pacific division, the Edmonton Oilers.
They are, they have 47 points.
I hate the way that they're gonna lay it out now.
So they are now officially...
I have to do math now.
They're 40 points out of first place.
Hey, ah, ah.
Do do math.
Calgary is four points better than them.
Vancouver is 12 points better than Calgary.
Phoenix in the middle of the pack of 64 points.
The King's four points better than them.
San Jose currently seven points
behind Anaheim for the lead.
In the Western division, the Nashville Predators.
They played 59 games.
They're 25, 24, and 10.
They have 60 points.
They are 24 points out of first place
where they've lost their last three straight.
Winnipeg to two points better than them.
Dallas struggling, sir.
Yeah, they are in 50's place in the division.
Think they beat Phoenix last night.
That's all I meant.
They did.
They're still 20 points out of first place.
Minnesota.
They are 15 points out.
Colorado is 10 points better than Minnesota.
The Chicago Blackhawk said given way to the St. Louis Blues
with their tied.
The St. Louis has the tiebreaker.
So the blues are making a bit of a move in the Eastern Conference.
Atlantic division.
The Buffalo Subways.
They are 40 points out of first place.
Oh, I think they won't pat on the phone team back.
That was the devil's that had to say.
They have 38 points.
What you're also in a division with Boston.
So it's really not gonna matter right now.
But Florida is 13 points better than Buffalo.
Oterwa is 12 points better than Florida.
Detroit in the middle of the pack, one point ahead of Ottawa.
Toronto and Montreal are tied at 70 Tampa Bay 71 and Boston at 78 points right now.
Montreal is 13 straight.
But in the metropolitan division, but I also said the Western
Conference you have a central division in a Pacific division.
Where's that guy?
What is the center up?
Yeah.
But the New York Islanders, 60 games are 22, 38, they have 52 points, they're 31 points
out of first place.
But again, when you play the division with the Pittsburgh Penguins, you're going to have
that problem.
New Jersey is 9 points better than the Islanders.
Carolina is tied with New Jersey.
Washington and Columbus are tied at 63.
Philly is 3 points better than them.
The Rangers, okay.
The Rangers are in second place in the division.
There's 16 points behind Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh has 83 points right now.
They are 1 point behind St. Louis and 4 points behind Anantime for the best in the sport.
But they are 5 points better than Boston for the number one seat if the playoffs started
today.
Was there all taken a couple of weeks off for the Odin Bix anyway?
Which really not that long of the Olympics, because everything's coming back week after
next.
Is it like 17 days or taking off?
That's right.
After Valentine's Day is pretty much everything.
No, you got a whole other week because I know Arrow's coming back on the 26th and so
as S of you.
Well, I know that Falun's going to be on the tonight show starting the 17th.
President.
Yeah.
Next Monday.
And that's the network that's carrying everything.
Yeah, but don't think they could take the break.
They take a break.
They do the coverage.
They do your local news and then they do the late.
The late shows and then they come back.
Isn't it on the delay broadcast anyway?
Yeah, because it's like 17 hours ahead or something.
Nine.
Is it nine?
Yeah.
Nine.
Nine.
Docs favorite number?
Yes.
All right.
Let's talk movie.
Shall we gentlemen?
Let me tell you some kids if you haven't looked at box office numbers yet.
You may want to be sitting down.
Dropping out of the top 10 this week.
American hustle drops from 8 to 11 3.1 million dollars, but it's made 130 million
out of 48 million dollar budget.
Wolf of Wall Street drops from 10 to 12, but it's beaten it's budget by just under 8 million
dollars.
I Frankenstein drops from 9 to 15.
It's made $17.4 million on a $65 million budget.
I'm really so bad.
That looks like everything that's dropped out.
So let's go to the top 10 dropping from 7 to 10 Labor Day.
Oh, because Kate wins what can't find it.
Just the concept of that movie just doesn't make me want to see it.
Yeah, and I heard that.
I have a lonely girl whose laughter has been and here's this nice guy.
But oh, yeah, he's holding me hostage.
There's like a really creepy awkward love scene involving making a pie.
I thought that happened about 15 years ago.
Yeah.
This is even worse.
But it's made $2.323 million for a two week total of $18 million on a 10 million
I've made $10 million on an $18 million budget.
Dropping from sixth place to ninth place, Jack Ryan Shadow recruit makes $3.6 million
in four weeks.
It's made $44.5 million.
It's still 15 below budget.
It was okay.
I just, that's what I'll wait for, HBO.
By the way, you know what your HBO premiere last night was, sir.
42.
No.
Oh, it's not the DVR.
It's calling on the DVR.
Dropping from four to eight is the nut job.
And by the way, the sequel's already been announced.
That's going to happen.
It's made $3.8 million for a four week total of $55 million after losing $468.
It only had a $42 million budget.
So it's making money.
Okay.
Day viewing at seventh place this week, the aforementioned Vampire Academy, $4.1 million.
Can you see if you can find a budget on that because I'm going to have one listed.
Okay.
It made $4.10 million in its opening weekend.
Dropping from five to six, seven straight weeks to top 10 for loan survivor.
$5.3 million after losing $416.
It's made $111.6 million on a $40 million budget.
Congratulations to Mark White.
What budget am I looking at?
Vampire Academy.
Vampire Academy.
Okay.
Okay.
Don said he saw a monument cement.
He did not like it overall, but it had good acting.
Shall I was seeing it tonight?
So I've heard nothing but bad things.
I'll second dawns.
I saw it.
Dropping from three to five and it's first week.
Or it's second week is a movie called that awkward moment.
It's one of those rom coms as the kids like to call it.
$5.5 million for two weeks.
It's made $16 million on an $8 million budget.
So they're doing okay.
That was the bronze medal last week.
You're silver medal from last week drops to four, but still in the top five is frozen with another
$7 million.
A $150 million budget in 12 weeks.
It has made $368.7 million dollars.
That's just domestic people.
And I get nothing but good things have I heard about this.
People are loving this.
Maybe that I was spoken to to have seen it.
The.
You're going to be happy to know sir.
You're long national nightmares over.
Which would be in the bronze medal.
Dropping from first place after being number one for three weeks.
Right along.
Drops from first to third making nine point four million dollars.
Losing 67 theaters, but in four weeks of a twenty five million dollar budget.
It's made a hundred and five points.
Why is this my nightmare?
That's docks not mine.
No, I thought you like had no dislike.
You hated just did not enjoy anything about this film.
I've got no pain.
Never really that.
I thought you just.
Okay.
I know I don't check me.
He did not like it.
No, I've got no opinion on it.
One way or the other.
A lot of what.
I mean, I've heard a lot of people that liked it.
I've heard a lot of people say the funniest part of the trailer.
Yeah.
I can second that.
Your silver and gold medal winners are both debuts.
The aforementioned monuments men.
Debuts in the silver medal category 22.7 million dollars on a seventy million dollar budget.
We tell the comes of TV.
That's second one.
Don's it.
Yeah.
Don's on recommends it's an HBO viewing.
He said it was a little too light-hearted for the subject matter.
Now, remember this movie made twenty two points seven million dollars in second place.
Winning the weekend.
The Lego movie.
Which will be viewed by the next time we go on air by hooker by crook.
I'm going to see this movie sometime this week.
Sixty nine point one million dollars on a sixty million dollar budget.
Now that remember the budget for the film does not include promotion.
That's just how much it costs to make the movie.
Harvey Weinstein says you call it the rule of fifty.
Take off much the movie cost at fifty million.
That's how you have much you have to make to make a profit.
Oh, wow.
But think about how much promotion was done for this film.
Oh, tons.
So you figure if this movie makes a hundred and ten million dollars, it will make a profit.
And it will make a profit.
Make no mistake.
Yeah.
It's going to get my money sometime within the next seven days.
I'm bomb that haven't seen it already.
I can't find a budget on this film.
It's creepy.
Oh, you know, thank blood and vampire teeth.
13% on Riley and Thompson's kid.
Four hundred thousand dollars.
We're going to do it by a kondias.
I think we all know who.
Last Sunday morning.
I was just left church.
I was going by my guitarist house.
Before I came home to get ready for the Super Bowl.
And he said he saw something on Yahoo.
And I was like, I'm sorry.
What?
And so I went to Facebook.
Always a credible source for news.
To verify that the great actor Philipsy Moore Hoffman.
At the age of 47 of an alleged drug overdose.
Four people have been arrested in connection with his death.
A couple of them released already, though.
I think.
I'll have that from whatever I get.
He was born in Fairport, New York, which is a suburb of Rochester.
His mom was a family court judge and lawyer.
And his father was a former Xerox executive.
Did not know that.
He had two sisters.
One of who and a brother and his brother Gory wrote the screenplay for a movie called Love Liza.
In which Hoffman actually starred.
He started acting while he was a student in high school.
He was actually a high school wrestler.
Really?
And a neck injury forced him to give up the wrestling.
And so he started acting.
The age of 17, he was selected to attend the 1984 Theatre School at New York State Summer
School, the Arts in Saratoga Springs.
Where he met with two of his future collaborative collaborators.
Look.
That's not in your car.
Is it collaborators?
That'd be a car.
Okay.
Bennett Miller and Dan Futterman.
His first acting role was a defendant in a law and order episode in season one.
Oh, my god.
I remember the violence of summer.
I remember that.
I do.
I do.
He made his film breakthrough in 1992 when he appeared in four films.
Including a sense of a woman.
I forgot he was in that.
He was one of the classmates.
Strange guy.
Amazing actor.
Like this one hurt me.
This one hurt me.
I was like, wow.
And a very quirky style about him though.
Yeah.
I'm going to be interested to hear this week's episode of Hollywood Babylon.
Because that's one of the, uh, one of the very few voices Kevin can do is just his character from M.I. 3.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
Girlfriend.
I'm a designer.
Just.
He had an understatedness to him.
That, that just was amazing to me.
Uh, he was also, you know, in movies like Twister, Boogie Nights, the Big Lebowski,
Patch Adams, Magnolia, the talented Mr. Ripley, almost famous.
Red Dragon, 25th hour, Punch Drug Love, Cold Mountain.
Uh, he won multiple acting awards for playing Truman Capote in Capote.
Never afraid of a role.
Like, there's some certain roles that he took that would, you would go, you know, a lot of
people probably wouldn't be brave enough to do this.
He did.
Don says his favorite role was, uh, in a movie called Owning Mahoney.
And he said, even though he had a small party loved him in almost famous.
Oh, yes.
Lester Banks.
Yep.
And just, that's just still water.
That is a brilliant movie on so many levels.
Love that movie.
Not probably my favorite film about the music industry.
Okay.
That's what you're going to say is your favorite Cameron Crow film.
Let's go throw this die Pepsi to you.
Well, it may be my favorite Cameron Crow film.
No, sir.
No.
Say anything.
We'll be the master piece to meet for the next one.
That is.
My favorite Cameron Crow film.
That is your favorite.
Just because that makes you wrong.
Does it make you any less of a person?
No.
Doesn't make me wrong at all.
Is it bad that I own a copy of almost famous?
But I've never watched it.
You need to, sir.
Yeah.
Do you do yourself a song?
Do you do yourself a song?
Do you do yourself a song?
Do you do yourself a song?
I'll put it to you this way.
I'll put it to you this way.
When he did the screening.
Because it's true story.
It's based on his life.
It's based on Cameron Crow's life.
Oh, really?
He had Jimmy Page come up to.
A rubber plant came up to him at the screening.
And he said,
The guy in the film.
I know him.
He's like, no, that's Billy Koo drew up.
He's a very famous actor.
He's like, no, no, no, no, no.
I know that guy.
I think it was, yeah, probably dude.
It's kind of based on Jimmy Page.
So yeah.
Go, it's an excellent film.
And you will see faces in there that we're nobody's at the time that are pretty well established.
Now, apparently for a hundred games,
they had about a week left of shooting.
They're going to see Giam for the parts they need him in.
So we have to request that.
So you, sir, you will be horribly horribly missed.
Our best to his family in France.
Okay, I'm going to take a deep breath here.
Because Hollywood has to find something that works,
and then make a hundred and fifty just like it.
See the ex files era of television.
We're getting a female version of the expendables.
And it's going to be called the Expenda Bells.
Ah.
It's going to be directed by Robert Luke Kachik,
who's got such action films under his credits as legally blond.
I just lost my work alive.
The following ladies are in talks for this.
Meryl Streep, Miller, Jove of Vitch, and Cameron Diaz.
So we just was, was this a WCW-1997 lethal lottery
as is how we picked these girls.
God.
That'll wait till you hear the story line.
If Meryl Streep says yes to this,
she will lose all her credibility.
She's Beryl Streep, she can do whatever she wants.
But let me explain to you the concept of this too.
Uh, I'm reading it now.
A bunch of Navy seals get wiped out by a,
a dictator of a small island nation.
And so special female operatives are sent in disguise
as high-priced call girls to woo him and then kill him.
Please check your local listings
where your cinemax channel is for when this will debut.
How do these things like get past as a script?
How do someone give this a green line?
Why?
Two words, sir.
Zombie strippers.
Okay.
That's so true.
One word.
One word.
Sharknado.
And there's a couple more that are coming to a scene
that's in the Meneeru that, like,
if I said the name of it on this show,
let's just say,
the screaming of that means two things
would be about as loud as it gets.
Okay.
I'll need the mic.
Take off your headphones.
Underend the poster has them underwater.
So just let that sink in.
Ah, see what you did.
Yeah.
That's a damn shame.
That is absurd.
That's the end.
There goes the second way.
As you like to say to me at least once a week
on this show, you are better than that, sir.
No, I'm not.
And which is actually my normal reaction.
When you say it.
Exactly.
Why is that?
Can we get to some good news?
Rumors are already circulating
that there will be a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel
for Marvel Phase 3 in 2016.
That was the first one.
Well, no one August.
Exactly.
I think I have a jump in the gun here.
I'm good.
I know you are because you are familiar with this.
Yes, I am.
But I...
I've been a Marvel Comics reader since I was old enough
to read comics, which was about four, five years old.
No, nothing.
Let me hear this later.
I don't know what you've told me.
I've explained this before.
Allow me to explain it again.
If we're setting up the gauntlet, this has to happen.
But don't you want to see how well this first one does?
Before you greenlight a second one?
I don't think it matters, man.
Marvel Studios.
Marvel Studios is on such a roll right now.
I don't think they have to care.
But look at who they've been on a roll with.
Thor.
Captain America.
X-Men.
But we're not those Thor films a lot better than they had to be.
Yeah, but people know who Thor is.
You can throw the cast in the characters names of Guardians.
I mean, I'm like, who?
Huh?
What?
And I know I'm not alone.
I just roll with me.
I'm just saying.
I need to be the dissenting voice, but I hope they know what they're doing.
Time has proved them that they do know what they're doing.
Is it one of those things where you just have to put up the first movie out there
no matter how bad, so the second one can be the best thing.
I think it's going to be good.
I'm not even saying it's going to be a bad film,
but just that these characters are just not well known outside of their immediate fan base.
Right.
They're really aren't.
That they're kind of obscure characters.
Is what they're like 60 to 70, at least?
The Guardians?
Yeah.
No, there's only five.
You're thinking lanterns.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're looking at the green lantern core.
Which, oh.
You kind of did, but you kind of didn't.
So a news pertaining to the Marvel universe that I'm a little upset with.
Yeah.
I have issues with this.
You and I have talked with multiple people since the debut of Agents of Shield.
And we're three episodes behind, so that we thought where we were going with this.
The Agent Colson was going to end up being the vision.
That is not the case.
Yeah.
Vision has been cast and it will be Paul Bettany.
That's to the casual fan that you may be like, okay, whatever.
But here's the continuity problem.
Paul Bettany is the voice of Jarvis in the Iron Man films.
Yeah.
So are we saying that Ultron is going to turn Jarvis into the vision?
Because in the continuity Ultron creates the vision.
That's like his hero.
Okay.
But who's going to be creating him in this one?
Tony.
Uh-huh.
And Tony also created Jarvis.
There you go.
I still think it should be Colson.
I do too.
But I see now the logic makes what we say.
But we also have.
And so I sat here and put that thing on my quite a minute.
If he's going to create them both, it kind of makes sense that they have the same voice.
But we also have verification this week that Miss Marvel, who is the current Captain Marvel, will be in this film.
Which gives me more hope for Katie Sakov to play that role.
I saw somebody do a mock-up of Olivia Wilde.
And I was like, okay.
You know who I would really like to see her play, but it'd be on the other side of the coin.
Starfire.
Because she could play that role.
But Katie Sakov is Miss Marvel.
I mean, she could do it.
Come on board.
Just don't break dazzling to this thing.
Jason's state.
So what we're turning for the mechanic too.
Okay.
How?
Okay.
If you haven't seen this remake of the mechanic,
Future Computer for about 20 seconds and five, four, three, two.
Don't say the one.
He lived at the end of the first one.
Well, yeah.
Whereas in the original Charles Pronson one, he did it.
Because if you watch all the way through to the end,
they re-show the security footage and he gets out of there before the car blows up.
Yeah.
I forgot about that.
I'm just saying why.
Why?
Because they can.
Because Nathan can look as something.
Yeah.
That's the only, that's my, that's my Jason state.
That's the extent of it.
Yeah.
I don't understand.
I thought he got rid of all the guys that would be coming after him.
So we thought.
There's always more guys.
We thought that Liam needs to take and care all the guys from taking as well.
Also.
All right.
Chad, deep breath.
On this next story, deep breath.
Okay.
I don't have the wrench you didn't bring any.
Terry Gilliam will start shooting Don Quixote later this year.
I believe it when it happens.
And the canary in the canary islands on September 29th.
He's going to try to get this thing off the ground again.
If you don't know what we're talking about.
Terry Gilliam is one of the original members of Monty Python.
He tried to direct a Don Quixote film early 80s.
I've lost track.
There's a documentary about it.
I've got it in my Instagram.
I'm going to have a watch that's called Man of Lamancia.
Right.
And the nightmare that that shoot turned into turned into a documentary.
But he's given another crack at it.
And it's going to start September 29th and then the canary islands.
Which is an archer.
Archer.
Archer.
Archer.
Archer.
That doesn't mean they don't sing without music.
That's not what that means.
It was just the hardship that this thing.
The hardship that this shoot went through.
The set got flooded out.
The guy that they had passed.
Yeah.
The guy that they had cast to play Don Quixote.
He was a very old very well respected French actor.
Who when he got on the on the saddle of the horse.
He had like these chronic back problems and he couldn't ride.
And you can't be Don Quixote and not be on the horse.
Do you remember they did like a PSA version of him in the 80s as one of those things
They showed in between cartoons.
Who was about brushing your teeth and Don Quixote had the big toothbrush.
And he would go out the windmills to clean up.
No.
That happened.
Wow.
So we'll see.
Okay.
I do need to go back and watch that documentary.
I mean because there was a lot of footage shot.
I mean he had dip in this thing.
I mean there's a lot of the he got footage and everything.
And just poor Gilliam.
I mean he's a good or he's a great director.
He's done some really great stuff.
You know 12 monkeys.
Anyone.
I mean I know that the imaginary of Dr. Pernassus was a little bit.
Didn't he do time Ben?
Yes he did.
I think that was his first like non-monty python.
Although there were a couple of those guys involved in that.
All right.
Let's go.
I'm because I've got this song skipping.
Movies in your local movie house this coming week.
Coming Wednesday.
You should know better than when I changed music to take a drink sir.
You should just know better by now.
It's been over 200 episodes.
Robocop, Joel Kinnamon, Samuel Jackson, Michael Keaton.
I want to give this thing a shot man.
Really?
Did you kind of came around on this then?
I was a little out when the first stills came back.
But once I saw that trailer, the first trailer.
I was like, I'll give this a fair shot.
I didn't hear the old man's in an and Samuel Jackson's in it.
So I've got nothing but respect for those two guys.
I mean it visually.
It looks pretty cool.
It does.
But it looks like they're cramming Robocop and Robocop 2 into one movie.
Yeah it does.
And the fact that it's PG13 kind of makes me really.
As ultra.
But the only thing that could redeem this film.
Even if it's a bad film.
If they do the commercials.
Because that was the genius of Verhoven.
Yeah.
Remember the one with a car alarm?
Where the car thief gets in shuts the door.
And then it just like runs 50,000 volts through.
I don't remember that.
That was the opening of Robocop 2.
Okay then that's why I don't remember it.
I just remember Nukum, the board game Nukum.
But he did the same thing.
No more foreign diplomacy.
And then he gave like he did the same thing in Starship Trooper.
Yes he did.
So I'll go.
Now I'm going to see like it would be first.
Let's be honest.
Also winters tale.
This looks horrible.
Looks like water for elephants again.
Basically.
A guy does an age for like 150 years.
And there's a woman that he loves.
It's like Colin Ferrell.
Aren't you better than this.
But then again.
You did do Electron.
And this is the week of remakes.
Oh geez.
That just hit me.
Kevin Hart attempts to be the first actor in history.
To have two number one movies within 30 days of release of each other.
As his remake of the Roblo classic about last night releases this week.
Why do we have to remake this film?
Much less endless love.
But well you know what I'm surprised of though.
I'm surprised we haven't heard a remake of this song.
It's in the trailer.
Oh, but who's singing it?
I don't know.
I think it's a different song than the trailer that was you hear the name.
You hear the lyrics.
It's just not done the way it's.
I don't want to know.
I don't want to think about it.
I just want to act like it doesn't exist.
He's going to make his money.
He's going to make his money while he's a popular.
I don't know.
We're talking about it in this love now.
DVD and blue.
I knew releases this week and wherever you get your movies.
The debacle known as Ender's Game.
For all intents and purposes.
That should have been a good film.
But I guess it just wasn't.
There are stops getting funny.
That bit never not funny.
The diamond edition of the Jungle Book.
And all over it.
It's good flick.
It's one of my favorites.
Just don't ever want.
Even though I know they're doing another one.
I don't need to see live action versions of the Jungle Book.
You know.
Austin Land.
Jane.
Sorry.
Carrie Russell.
Yeah.
She basically, she's a lonely girl who goes to this retreat for Jane Austen fans.
It looks for love.
Oh, that really happened.
That really happened.
The best man holiday.
I don't know if you saw this, but they did a bit on a.
They did a fake trailer on SNL called White Christmas.
Where they basically do white people versions of all the African American holiday.
Oh, wow.
It's funny.
All is lost.
If you want to watch Robert Redford not say anything for two and a half hours.
I think he says two sentences.
Right.
At the beginning.
It's the beginning.
He gets streaming on a boat.
The American season one.
I put in there for Charlotte because I know how much she loves that show.
Good show.
Grace unplugged featuring one of the Michaela sisters.
That's a, that's a face-based film.
If you really need to waste two hours of your life, the counselor will be available to you.
Or it's not a fan of this.
This movie was terrible.
I'll, I'll back you up on that chat.
Did you like this movie?
I didn't go see it with them.
I just, I had no interest.
I literally have the choice between this and listening to a dog grind.
It's teeth for two hours.
Take the second less painful option.
Oh, great.
A killing Kennedy.
Based on the book by Bill O'Reilly,
which he's done with his series of killing Lincoln and killing Jesus.
Oh, okay.
But I've heard killing Kennedy's very, very good.
I just missed it when it was on the history channel.
Sean Michael's Mr. Russell Mania.
I'm halfway interested in this.
Because what can we possibly know that we haven't gotten in the last three sets?
I mean, even Flair stopped after two.
Sean will actually admit he knew what he was doing while chewing gum,
clinging gum again.
Mike Tyson, undisputed truth.
This is his one-man show that HBO aired.
I watched recently.
Very interesting.
Don't watch it with the kids.
Mike does enjoy the salty language a bit.
And the Naomi Watts Diana biopic.
Okay.
God.
Bruce Aphide.
Did he even hit theaters?
I don't remember hitting theaters, but boy,
it got crushed by critics.
Any tech corner news gentlemen.
Other than having a blast playing the Mario Sonic Olympics
that's so cheap on my Wii U this weekend.
That was fun.
The motorway is pretty cool.
That was it.
They're trying to make it to iPhone killer, which that will never happen.
They'll never happen.
If nobody's been able to do it by now,
I have heard rumors that the iPhone 6 might have hologram capabilities.
What?
I have heard rumors.
And apparently the S5 is coming out soon.
Or the Galaxy.
Samsung Galaxy.
Because we don't have enough phones or the size of a Buick.
Yeah.
Also, by the way, those of you that have missed out on the show last few weeks,
we have laid the beast to rest.
The Mustang is no more.
So two weeks ago yesterday, I acquired a new vehicle.
There's a 2012 Sheddy Equinox.
There you haven't seen the new ride.
Have you?
Yeah.
I love it.
I love it.
There is happiness as a bounding.
Yes.
It has heated seats in it.
Individually control.
Are they leather?
No, it's cloth.
I live in Texas.
I'm not wearing it.
I'm not getting leather.
Do you need a cloth?
Yeah.
It's really nice, too.
Especially with this cold as it's been lately.
Oh, yeah.
And if he's up pretty quick, you don't have to wait real long.
That's good.
So.
Do you have a road start, too?
Yes.
That was standard.
It's pretty loaded.
I mean, it's got, I've got full iPod control, the touch screen, XM, which I have to check.
See if it's still on Tuesday.
Yeah.
Because apparently I thought maybe it was left over from the previous owner, but they have a free
preview through February 10.
So come Wednesday.
They'll come Tuesday.
I got to save it still on.
If not, it was 12 bucks a month.
I do enjoy XM.
More than I thought I would.
To look at.
I have an iPod.
What am I worried about?
I told you.
You have a lot to have that variety there.
So.
That's been enjoying the car very, very much.
It has a rear view camera on it.
Which is kind of cool.
Yeah.
Even though I don't use it very much because it kind of freaks me out.
Right.
And I did find out that the blind spot mirrors work really well.
Really.
Really was able to see a couple things in that that I couldn't see in my record.
Good.
Good.
Really?
It works.
Very quiet.
It's very quiet.
That's good.
It doesn't have the rumble.
It's like that Chevy truck commercial.
Overpasses and then show the door and you're nothing.
It's, I really like it.
And a good sound system already built.
I don't have to do any upgrades to it.
It's, it's, it's great.
I highly recommend it.
First Chevy I've ever owned.
It is so choice.
I highly recommend it.
First Chevy I've ever owned.
It is so choice.
I highly recommend it.
I highly recommend it.
Alright.
Street lights on.
Every show ends with a list.
And Chad gets the list this week.
We throw it across the table to you, sir.
Man, this thing turned into a beast of its own.
Man.
It's like, I started looking things up and I was like,
I can't stop it.
10.
There's so many examples of this.
It became a monster.
We've all seen this.
And y'all, you both, you guys probably are going to be able to come up with things to add to this list when it wraps up.
There's going to be some good talking points I think.
But we've all seen this phenomenon since we're all big movie junkies.
Where we've seen movies that have come out.
And we'll see a trailer for a movie.
I'm like, isn't that the movie that I just paid 10 bucks to sit here and watch?
We had a couple of those just in the last year.
Right.
And that's one of the things I was hoping to address.
I can only come up with one off the top of my head.
But I was looking for pairs of films that were released right around the same time
that are almost identical.
Okay.
And some of them are movies that I've never even seen.
But the similarities were so glaring that they had a fear of warranted inclusion on the list.
Chasing Liberty and first daughter was the first one that I saw before.
Oh yeah.
And it's like, they were like eight months apart.
And I'm like, why do you need even one movie?
Yeah, let's do.
Another two films that I've always wanted to see and never seen either one, the illusionist and the prestige.
Soon both of them released a month apart.
Yeah.
I don't always saw the illusionist.
They were both okay.
Now the prestige was the Nolan one, right?
Correct.
That was right after Batman begins.
Correct.
And he was still riding pretty high on that.
Um.
Ants and a bug's life.
Both in 98.
Right.
Never watched ants.
And you know why.
Yeah.
You didn't miss much.
Well, you know why.
Because you hate Woody Allen Bowsman too.
Yep.
The Truman Show and Ed TV.
Ed TV just looked terrible.
And the Truman Show wasn't much better.
Well, the Truman Show.
I think it's the Truman Show.
And I think it's because of the way it was marketed.
And you know how I end with the way you market films.
Um.
It was Jim Carrey and his dramatic debut.
No, it wasn't.
Which is Jim Carrey and his dramatic film.
That's all it was.
And it really wasn't that dramatic.
Because there were just so many screwball moments as there was dramatic.
And that's what I'm saying.
And I think Ed Harris may have overacted a little bit.
Yeah.
And I just Ed TV just looked bad.
But at least with Ed TV, he knew he was on television.
Which was the difference.
Right.
The Truman Show.
Um.
Mission the Mars and Red Planet.
If you can't remember those two films.
Watch both of them.
They were both terrible.
Right.
I'm saying a pattern for me here.
Um.
Well, no bugs life was great.
Uh, bugs life.
Yeah.
And this is going to this.
This kind of freaked me out when I saw the release dates.
Iron Eagle and Top Gun.
Do you realize that Top Gun released four months.
After Iron Eagle did.
I don't know.
That's apples and oranges to me, though.
I mean, I get why you would put that on this list.
I enjoyed both films.
Uh-huh.
But let's get each other here.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
One was obviously better than the other.
But the latter being better than the former.
Right.
But.
I don't know to me.
I don't know.
Again, you're list.
But I don't know if I'd have put that on mind.
Because those were.
There was enough differences between them.
I could like the illusionist and the prestige.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
I mean, no bear mine.
This isn't just my list.
I looked at several sources and this got listed several times.
This one.
This might be an honorable mention for me.
Okay.
I don't know if that would make list proper.
Yeah.
Well, I'm just I was finding so many examples.
I'm like, I figured they make a talk.
Oh, I don't know.
I'm okay.
Again, it's your list.
Sure opinion.
I'm not here to judge you outwardly.
Uh.
Dante's peak and volcano.
Oh, God.
Oh, man.
If they ever showed that in a double feature,
it just leaves.
Yeah.
Demand your money back.
Watching the popcorn pop will be more entertaining.
That either one of those films.
Here's one that's going to really raise some good talking points.
Tombstone and Wyatt Earp.
Never saw Wyatt Earp.
No, maybe I did.
I don't know if that's Cosner, right?
Wyatt Earp.
Yes.
That was.
I thought it was Dennis.
No, I thought Clay was in Tombstone.
No, that was for Russell.
That was Kurt Russell.
Maybe it was Dennis Quaid.
I don't know if I may have seen it.
I mean, Tombstone.
I've seen a bajillion times.
Yeah.
Tombstone.
No, no pun intended.
Bearied Wyatt Earp.
Oh, God.
If for no other reason, we all know.
Val Kilmer, Val Kilmer.
Yeah.
And anything you put.
Sam Elliott in.
Cause it's wood for dinner.
That's my Sam Elliott.
I know it's not very good.
Um, so says the fighting for Lawson for.
The unavoidable.
You got an affordable 500 pound gorilla.
Deep impact in Armageddon.
Oh, man.
Deep impact.
But put.
Yo.
So bad.
No.
The consensus is that Deep impact was the smarter film.
They said that Deep impact was Schindler's list compared to Armageddon.
This far as I say it.
I know that really.
But I liked Armageddon.
Yeah.
One got the criteria in collection.
Treatment.
The other one didn't say it.
This is true.
And the three most recent examples that I stumbled across here that I.
That I dug for.
Okay.
The benefits and no strings attached to 2011 did not see anyone didn't care.
And if I remember correctly.
No strings attached originally said friends with benefits underneath the cast list.
And they had to take it off.
Oh, really.
Yeah.
Um.
Mila.
Coolness.
Snow White.
The Huntsman.
And mirror mirror.
Let me say something.
I watched no whites.
So white.
The Huntsman recently.
Why?
The three headed dog.
This movie was so bad.
I fast forward the last 10 minutes of it.
Anything that that Kristen Stewart is involved in.
But it's, it's the sharpest there.
It's the, it's the theorem.
And I love her.
It's movie.
But, but I will say you know what the thing about that movie was.
You saw.
If you watched that movie.
And you didn't know about four.
You'd go.
You can put the role.
Oh.
That movie.
I could almost guarantee you that movie got him.
The movie did be more interested in Mary Mary because it's Phil Collins daughter
Planks.
No white.
I just, I don't know.
It's.
When you have Julia Roberts playing the wicked queen.
It just doesn't work for me.
And I'd never really seen her play an evil role before.
Had she before that.
Donna.
I think he's about to get that one.
Get to that one.
So I'm not going to say anything just yet.
The one from last year.
Olympus has fallen.
And White House down.
White House down.
Just recently debuted on stars or so about to.
I'm kind of interested in that.
And Don says they're both the same movie.
Yeah.
You saw him.
Olympus is far one.
I don't know.
You know, different actors.
It's.
That's one of them have Morgan Freeman.
You're doing it.
Morgan Freeman boy.
What was that picture on the internet that's him and Eastwood.
Same.
Same.
He says the best day ever.
Clint Eastwood kills you.
I'm working for him in there.
It's it.
That was the worst day of Robert.
But you all have anything else.
Y'all can think of that would warn inclusion.
Uh, they're actually.
And this is going to be really obscure.
But who are you talking to?
When I worked the movie theater in high school.
On the same day.
There were two Lombata movies that were released.
If you remember the god.
Yes.
One of them was called Lombata the forbidden dance.
Yeah.
The other one that didn't have a subtitle.
But they had to make one.
So it was Lombata the dance of love.
Came out on the same day.
And we had both of them at my movie.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
What?
And you know, one thing.
Either one.
One thing that you really can't avoid is all the body switching picks that.
Yeah.
But they didn't get.
But none of them were like.
I'm actually there were two that were close.
Like the judge.
He didn't get.
And then the one with W more and Kirk Cameron.
Um.
I can.
I can.
I can think of it.
Eight.
I couldn't think of the name.
The George Burns did too.
Not that Noah.
Okay.
But you got to feel big in the mix too.
Yeah.
Not really a switch movie.
But just kind of like you woke up in a different deal.
Right.
Um.
Those are the ones I can really think of.
You had.
I mean, then you had that rush of.
Step up and movies of it's ill.
Yeah.
There for a while.
Um.
You had the cheerleader movie invasion.
After bringing on did so well.
Um.
And dancing movies kind of go in cycles.
Yeah.
They'll like they'll be everywhere for about six months.
And they'll look away for five years.
I don't know.
The hints to step up stuff.
Right.
Um.
Because I feel like I'm leaving out of big genre here.
Sci-fi.
Well, we think about one word.
Moon raker.
Uh.
Uh.
We were.
We were going to do a movie after.
But we decided since Star Wars did so well.
We're going to send James Bond a space.
Um.
You have the invasion of buddy cop movies in the late 80s.
Where, you know, lethal weapon rose above everything else.
Yeah.
But I really wouldn't so much call that.
And an identical film.
It just, you know, two cops working together.
That's been a genre that's been long standing.
And by the way, just want to send one more shout out from TV talk.
Watch the new episode of Arrow.
Um.
They had a different daughter of Rajal Gullenett.
And the girl that played her was the girl who played Mira on the last season of Spartacus.
I saw that.
I saw that.
I saw that.
But with her British accent.
Yeah.
That kind of threw me.
Oh, and I'm telling you, you're not watching Arrow.
That show is really getting good.
This week was awesome.
And they're taking two weeks off.
I'm shaking my fist.
That's you.
And I'm going to say this.
And it's secure in my own manhood.
That's even a male who, by the way, was in town this weekend for Dallas,
Comic-Con.
That dude can wear a suit.
I don't know who they've got doing the costume on that show.
But whoever is tailoring his suits is doing a great.
Because those are great suits number one that he's wearing.
And number two, they just, they tailor it perfectly to him.
That dude can wear a suit.
Oh, here's something that I did I did leave off.
Like father like son was the current camera.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
That's from Russ.
Um.
Babe and Gordy.
Gordy.
Here's a crap.
Um.
Here's a.
Here's a.
Here's a.
Here's a.
Oh, but.
There's.
Oh, you.
Oh, you.
Can't have a stretch on there both back and body but still.
Uh, Alexander and Troy.
Yeah.
Three.
Three.
Three.
Three.
Fine.
That made me out.
Yeah.
Um, Madagascar and the wild.
Yeah.
And, uh, 1492 conquest of paradise and Christopher Columbus that
Discovery.
Okay.
Okay
