The following is a sooner-or-gator production.
No one's, no one's, no one's.
Good morning!
Woo!
F**k!
Joe, stop.
Are you ready for the jam?
I said, are you ready for the jam?
Yo, jeep.
Kick it.
Drum is clean!
Go!
Keep it going, eh?
Terrible!
It is Saturday nights, it is 8 o'clock on the East Coast, it is 5 o'clock on the West Coast,
it is the 29th of September in the year of our Lord 2012, it is season 3, episode 11,
the clubhouse is live on the air, we welcome each and every one of you individually whether
you are listening live or listening on the archive, if you're listening on your portable
device it means we got the RSS feed fixed, but even if you are, God bless you for doing
so, we welcome you, we don't care how you listen, we're just glad you're listening, I am
Rob, and I am here each and every week, joining me for the first time since the Civil War
apparently, coming back home, because he saw the street light was on, he is Chad, I came
running, I was good to have you back sir, I came running home and dove onto the porch,
so how late did you sleep today? I was up by about 845, I slept later than you? Yes sir,
wow, I slept so noon, I was like I didn't sleep long, I slept the wife to first cafeteria,
had a really surreal moment when we got there, we walking, we walking, you know the story
behind this place, I love first, it was my mother's favorite restaurant, and your mother
who we lost last year, yes we did, and the first time I ever actually set foot in that restaurant
was the day of a beautiful, I thought you and I had been there before, no, I did not know
that, we went there immediately after the funeral, yes we did, because we knew how much
she loved that place, and I surprised Jules by taking her there for breakfast, we walk
in, sit down, as soon as I stick my fork into my plate, kiss from a rose comes on, very
nice, she and I both looked at each other, just dropped our fork and choked up, nice, because
of those of you that don't know, that was our wedding song, yes it was, and I was like
she knows, and aversary also coming very soon, and I looked at Jules, I was like she knows
we're here, I was like she's giggling right now, and say what you want about first, so
great, I do want to try, there's a brand new golden corral over there too, which makes
no sense, it's directly across the parking lot from first, it is the last Saturday of
the month, which means it is time for chicken studio joining us as she does, you love her,
you know her, you can't live without her, she is charla, I am, I am charla, not only are
you charla, I am Dame charla parker, don't even ask, also joining us as a surprise guest
tonight, that I was not even prepared for, but you know what, that doesn't mean I can't
get prepared, joining us again, the co-creator of the Ruby Sessions character, he is Brandon,
also the voice of the 47%, as long as he's not the voice of the 37%, I think we're okay,
though we start every show with corrections, first of all thank you, a huge thank you
to the official fact checker of the clubhouse, who is in the chat room right now, Don Ford,
thank you so much for rearranging your schedule to help us out at the last minute, both nights,
or is that, has it been two weeks, I guess it has been two weeks since the paper view hasn't
it, I can't even keep my days right now, but Don helped out a huge while Chad was away,
so we want to thank him for that, since the fact checker was in studio, we were pretty
clean, but I haven't had a chance to go back and listen to the show yet, because we're having
having issues with the RSS fever, which we're going to get, by the way if you haven't done so,
go to our brand new website, www.theclubhousepodcast.com, you can listen on the website now,
that should be up and running, please let me know if there's any issues with that in the chat room,
just look like an interface too, it looks great, Richard did an amazing job, if you want to read the
somewhat augmented history of the club, that's putting it lightly, have you guys read it yet?
Funny, Richard, Richard, we're basically comic book heroes, there's a reason that Richard is the
the deputy mayor of awesome town, he does all the work, I get all the credit, that's how it works,
unfortunately his office has padded walls, we do want to play this,
Breaking news, if you saw our Facebook post from a couple of hours ago, we have a major announcement,
and that's when you texted me with three question marks, that was literally right after I had
posted it, so I thought that's what you were doing, no, no, no, wait,
as you know, for about the last five or six months or so, we've had to go through a three or four or
five week period where Chad was not on the show, and the reason for that was the company he worked for,
that I worked for, was preventing him from doing so because he was on mandatory seven day weeks,
and he worked night, so he couldn't do the show, and again, everybody that was able to fill in for Chad
while he was gone, I cannot thank you guys enough, neither can I, very few things in this life
frightened me more than trying to do the show by myself, so we have a major announcement that
as of tonight, Chad's not missing a show for a very, very long time, if I have anything to say about
that, please tell the people why, sir, an opportunity fell into my lap, what was it Wednesday?
Sure, I can neither confirm nor deny anything about this, that I'm basically switching jobs,
you're not basically switching jobs, you are switching jobs, just getting down to brass tank,
basically I'm switching jobs, for a great opportunity, yes, this sounds like an absolutely stellar
company to work for, they're called Success Ed, and you have 23 seconds, and they do software
development for school districts that handle children with special needs, which is awesome,
so I'm starting to be doing tech support for them, normal hours, nights and weekends to yourself,
and the lovely and talented Mrs. Wal-Mac, yes, Wal-Mac, I had a Wal-Mac in the class this week,
I'm sorry, so it's still missing with your guests, who was up British descent?
Yes, cheers, let's go to NASCAR!
But congratulations on that, sir, thank you so much, my friend, more money, less hours,
Merga, more problem, and more time, and much God almighty, very well played,
so in Motown, Motown with the people in this room, last week,
I can't stop laughing, last Sunday the Selvania 300, if you guys missed it on this,
and you missed this show last week, here's a question, why was this Selvania 300 done during the day?
This couldn't be a night race, that would be the Transylvania, no, what is Selvania make?
I know, I know, just say it, this couldn't be a night race, the Transylvania would be a great night
and with that movie opening last week, yeah, great tie-in, what do they make?
Lightballs, cheers, oh, sure, let's just go to the top 10, finishing number 10, obviously not one
above her head, and the, here's a sponsor for you, and the number 39 Chevrolet sponsored by Aspen
Dental, Aspen Dental, given your NASCAR, oh, I was almost gonna say it, but then Brandon went
ahead and stole the fighter, something, and that belongs to Ryan Hello Newman, with his 3T,
9th place in the number 35 freight liner slash Jet Edge Toyota, he's gone dude, you killed him,
right in the pictures, he killed himself, in 8th place in the home depot number 20 Toyota that
used to belong to Smoke, now belongs to Joey Logano, in 7th place in the mobile one slash
office depot number 14 Chevrolet, aforementioned, Smoke, Tony Stewart, 6th place in the number 2
Dodge Miller light, dang it, I'm out of fracas, Brad Coslowski, thank you, in 5th place in the
Farmers Insurance Chevrolet number 5 KC Kane, number 4th place in the number 15 5 hour energy
sponsor by Toyota Clint Boeier, number 3, in the bronze medal, number 24 Chevrolet drive
to end hunger, a guy who was one over 80 NASCAR races in his career, we found out earlier tonight,
Jeff Gordon, the silver medal, in the number 48 low Chevrolet five time, five time, five time,
five time, five time, Spring Cup champion Jimmy Johnson, who is in the chase, so this guy is
really starting to make a move, and winning in the number 11 FedEx freight Toyota Denny Hamlin,
who is not on lawn order, as we know, your current, that was Harry Hamlin, that would be LA law,
actually, I'm moving on, so your chase update, Jeff Gordon is in 12th place, he and Matt
Kenseth, both stay where there are Matt Kenseth at 11, Martin Truex Jr. drops one to 10th,
Greg Biffle drops one to 9th, Kevin Harvick moves up to to 8th, Dale Earnhardt Jr. 26 point back
in 7th place, Clint Boeier 6th, tied with KC Kane, who is at 5th, in 4th place, dropping one
place this week, only 10 points out,
now he's a foghorn, yeah, third place, moving up one, taking his place as one Denny Hamlin,
second place, only one point back of the leader, Brad, because last game, correct,
and right now, in first place, taking his place by 1 point, five time, five time, five time,
sprint cup champion Jimmy Johnson, so the move has been made, we are now two races into the chase,
there's only eight left, which then begs the question, where are we this weekend,
this weekend, tomorrow at 1 o'clock Eastern, the triple A400, that there's not a lot of wrecks,
at the Dover International Speedway, and if there is, it'll only take three hours to get a tow truck there,
so that'll be nice, I'm on fire, you're not going to believe this guys, you're never going to guess
where I broke that, we'll be off there, it is 8.45 minutes, we're going to put you on a priority,
which means two or three hours maximum, but it is a one mile track, it is an oval,
it has a 24 degree bank on it, this is Dover Maryland, if I'm not mistaken,
isn't this the rock, that has the cool trophy with the action figure, I think, what?
Yeah, for this race? Yeah, it's like a gray version of Marvel's The Thing, oh cool, yeah,
it's a really, if this is the one I think it, it's I'm pretty sure, because Cody told me about this,
and I looked it up, I'm like, dude, that is pretty awesome, it's not as cool as the,
the boxing belt you get for winning Vegas, but it's pretty good, okay what's it called again,
I'll look it up, it's Dover International Speedway, no, the title itself though,
I think it's called the rock, I think it's the, I think the actual course is called the rock,
if I'm not mistaken, but that is going to do it for NASCAR talk,
let us get into a little bit of TV talk, uh oh, what, I don't like the door, did you not,
we get a little brown out there for a second, did you not see that, are we the only ones that
noticed that, the lights like went off, I didn't see anything, wow, we're seeing life in high
definition, I guess they're still seeing it, 26 frames a second, I'm scared, great song, great song, great song, great song, great song,
if you've seen this documentary yet, I watched part of it with you, have you seen, no, this is a
bad a tribe called quest that was directed by Michael Rapaport, it's really, wow, what, what,
it is really, really good, we saw a pretty good chunk of it together, I was like, I got to see
this from the beginning, he said on Netflix, I don't know, I watched it on stars, yeah, that's right,
so really good, yeah, I'm with you, I'm a huge YouTube, and I'm not talking about the stuff you
stick in your ears, clean up the white, but when you watch it though, YouTube comes out as a bit of a
deepak, most like rappers, yeah, that's the one, that's the trophy you get for winning at Dover
National Speedway, that's it, look it, I don't know what's going on my browser, so I think it's
because I'm running my virus scan in the background, yeah, because it's kind of frozen up a little bit,
the 2012 Pride Time Emmys held this past Sunday night, that wasn't, that's what's on top of the
building, no, but that's also the trophy you get for winning the race, it's a miniature version of that,
it looks like something that would like break into pieces and turn into bees and steam you to death,
the 46 foot monster monument in front of Dover, yeah, but you get it, you win it, you get a
miniature version, there it is, okay, yeah, yeah, there he is holding it up, good luck keeping
their kids away from that trophy, I want to play with it, no you don't, no, put it down, put it down,
okay, here we go, so the 2012 Emmys were this past Sunday, memo to the people, Dover isn't
Delaware, Don says, memo to the people of Mad Men, maybe want to curve it around a little bit,
now I'm going to need it for 11 wards, you didn't get a one, oh it sounds like spillberg at 85,
I wonder if that Brannett has affected the, affected the wireless, because I am having problems right
there, here we go, now we're getting somewhere, getting you a list of the major winners homeland,
who by the way is on a 12 hour marathon on showtime today, I guess they're new season premieres
tomorrow, they're doing, they're doing all of season one today, that looks so good, but I just,
I just can't, just so, a list of some of the winners, best supporting actor in a comedy series,
goes to Eric Stone Street and Modern Family, which I believe one best comedy series again,
it's a great show, writing in a comedy series, congratulations to the great Louis CK,
are you serious, yes sir, supporting actress went to, for comedy series went to Julie Bowen
for Modern Family, the very beautiful Julie Bowen, thank you very much, what is that,
it's just whatever it mixes into from the city, directing the comedy series went to Modern Family,
actor in a comedy series went to John Cryer for two and a half men, oh what's that,
oh you're hearing, this is off the, the stupid website that I'm on right now,
okay I'm hearing outside the headphones, John Cryer was on Bob and Tom the other day,
and apparently they're doing an episode with Michael Bolton this year, and he had the,
the most brilliant term for what Michael Bolton's here used to be back in the 80s,
actually I think that was this week's episode, he called it a hair cape,
Hahahaha, comedy series actors, Julia Louis Dreyfus for VIEP, which I've heard is a brilliant
show on HBO, the amazing race wins reality competition, Tom Bergeron wins reality host,
for dancing with the stars, this weirdz me out, the amazing race wins that,
all that, breaking bad, Aaron Paulman's for best supporting actor,
writing goes to homeland, best supporting actress and a drama Maggie Smith for Downton Abbey,
uh, director went to Tim Van Patten for Boardwalk Empire. I'm two episodes behind right now. Damien Lewis also from homeland wins best actor Claire Danes wins for best actress in homeland.
Uh, Louis CK wins for writing for a variety special. Claire Danes is in homeland. Yeah, she's like the main chick. Oh, Claire Danes. Okay, nevermind.
Uh, actress in a miniseries went to Julian Moore for gain change. Actor in a miniseries went to Kevin Costner for Hatfields and McCoy's.
And, um, and, um, uh, baringer one, two, yeah, baringer one, two. If you have not seen Hatfields and McCoy's you are denying your sell.
Wow, that was good. I just feel bad for packs. So congratulations for all the winners on that. Uh, any surprises there for anybody.
I was surprised that madman got blacked. I was just kind of bummed out that my words with words with friends come, uh, competitor Lisa Coleman did not win her.
She's got a few already. She and Wendy were nominated for a touch. Did they win for heroes? I believe they did, but they got beaten by the composer of Downton Abbey.
I'm a little upset that Jersey Shore won nothing.
You know, you know, but you know who won because of that? America. Yeah, that's proof that God exists.
So congratulations to the voice. They're going to get two more go rounds.
And apparently, uh, I don't know if the Charlotte you cut up on the soup. No, I have two episodes.
Okay, so you need to watch the first one. Apparently now Silo doesn't have the cat anymore. He now has a pink cockatoo that sits on his shoulder.
He's got a pink thread now. Yeah, speaking of speaking of Mr. McCale didn't his soup get like extended beyond belief. That wouldn't surprise me. I figured you would bring this up.
I hadn't read that, but I saw yesterday that was like he's got like extended to like 2015 or something like that.
Good for him. I figured that would be like that show is genius. Isn't Silo leaving after this season?
Just for one season that what they're doing is they're actually rotating. They're trying to get like a stable of judges. So Silo and Christina will be leaving in the spring to be replaced by Erscher and Shakira.
Who will probably be ready to give birth by that point because she just found out she was pregnant. So.
So the Cohen brothers have decided they're going to bring their hit film Fargo to a series on FX. What I didn't know is that this has already been tried once in 1997.
It was tried with Edie Falco playing the title the lead role of March Gunderson played by Princess McDormand in the film.
Mary to one of the Cohen brothers if I'm not mistaken could be. No, she is. Yeah, I just don't know which one was either Joel or Ethan. So you got a 50 50 shot.
So I don't know how I feel about this. Doesn't need to happen.
But but it's FX man they do such good work with stuff like this. I just don't know American horror story the shield sons of anarchy and I don't even want to touch even touch the surface of that story.
Yeah, but the guy from sons of anarchy being found dead and maybe or maybe not killed an elderly woman. It's so convoluted.
It sounds like a storyline from the show. It sounds like something Oliver Stone would have directed by this point. It's creepy.
I'm almost willing to give it a shot because you know the FX also features another one of my favorite shows on television which comes back. I believe the week after next.
The league.
Oh.
League is a good show. I couldn't remember what network that was on. It's on FX. It has to be with the way that show works. I think Jerry Jones is on the first episode.
Oh, is he. And also you know it's always sunny in Philadelphia. The aforementioned Louie.
I've got I'll watch one episode just like I've got the pilot episode for Vegas.
The new CBS series with checklist in it where it's like early early days of Vegas. It's like back with kind of gangster kind of western at the same time.
I'm stoked. I would say like Dennis Quaid is in this thing. Yeah, he is. Dennis Quaid and Chicholas. Chicholas is the. What is the hood and Quaid is the.
That is Quaid versus Michael Chicholas. That's a.
Miracle is when I'm like the one of them's like I guess the sheriff or something of the town. Any other one is like he's the mob boss.
That's that's Chicholas. He looks like. He looks like a 50s Tony's a brand.
Yes, Joel McKell the host E show the soup for at least two more years. Good.
There's no reason for that show not to be on the air. I remember one of the very first episodes I watch is the week of the Emmy nominations.
And he goes, we didn't get nominated for any Emmys. What's the matter TV? Are you upset with us?
I would just trouble by the other E news this week. Oh, that Rihanna's getting. No, not Rihanna. Oh, no, it's the Nicki Minaj is getting free.
He's specials. Yes, go ahead, Charlie. Who do I need to stab? Yeah, I'm right there with you. That list is long and distinguished. The same people.
Speaking of which did you mention to your to your man friend that we need his list? Yes, I did. Okay. And you know, it's just once we start something like that, it gets so blown out.
It's like here are 97 people we want to stab. For those of you that don't know, Charlotte has her bus list of people that she wants to hit with a bus.
In relation, her Cody, not the former co-host of this show, who I spoke with a week before last, doing very well, getting ready for the new baby.
They've moved to a bigger house out in Kato Mills, so congratulations to them.
But her Cody has his octagon list is what he calls his first.
Who he wants to put in a cage, but he wants he goes, I just want 30 seconds and I'll be gone with him. 30 seconds.
Don says Francis McDormand is married to Joel Cullen. Okay.
So congratulations to the brick and mire.
Zach from saved by the bell vehicle. Why can't I think his name off hand?
Mark Gosler, Franklin and Bash gets renewed for other season on TNT because they know drama.
I know they have a show is still on. They know law and orders what they know speaking of law and order.
S.V.U. has its season premiere this week. I have not watched it yet, Charlotte. Have you watched it? Are we good?
Yes, we're okay. Okay, because I'm ready. I just I haven't gotten to it yet.
It was hard because they took such a long break between it. Yes, they did.
And so it was so confusing to figure out what was going on.
But have we picked up where we left off? Yes. Yes.
Because where this thing left off? Yeah. If you missed one or S.V.U.
It picked up right where it left off, but it's so confusing.
S.V.U. season finale. You get to the end and you're like, oh, this just got real.
And CSI was the same way. And they had their season premiere this week too.
But this year S.V.U. will be doing an episode based on the phenomenon of 50 shades of gray.
But it caused another great moment on Bob and Tom this week.
They do a deal doing football season called the shoe and of the week where chick pick, chick McGee picks sports,
picks four NFL games against the grandmother. Yes.
And the 81 year old granny this week said she liked to read.
So do you know anything about 50 shades of gray? She said right off three of them.
Corvoion was done. But basically the concept of the episode is going to be the author of the book.
I think it's just called it's just called 25 reasons or something.
It's attacked by a TV host and she wants him to prosecute.
But then something comes up from her past and makes the whole thing convoluted.
You know if S.V.U. is doing their rip from the headlines, but it's going to be cool.
Because that's what they do.
But we need to get a copy of that.
So that's just why I can use it.
On loan over we wait for the bunk bunk.
Anybody got anything else you want to add for TV talk?
I just find it interesting on IMDB that when you look at the cast of the soup,
it says Joe McAill, Kelly Levy, Dominic Delayo, and Lou the Chihuahua.
They don't list Tom McNamara?
Who's Mancini?
I think one of those might be Mancini's real name.
I don't want his real name.
I want Mancini.
They're bringing back Steel Magnolius.
On A&E.
Yeah.
Yeah, with a completely different cast show.
Completely.
But it's being executed produced by the Queen Latifa.
Yeah.
She ran it.
Great cast though.
Polisher Rishaw.
Polisher Rishaw.
It's her name.
Claire Huxable.
Really?
She's always going to be Claire Huxable.
Let us get into the reason why this time of year is so awesome.
They're actually several reasons, but this is one of the main ones, sir.
The fair.
I know Texas State Fair.
Are we going to try to arrange a day that we all could see?
We have not.
Nobody in this room has gone to the fair together,
which to me seems like a travesty.
And I grew up in this town and I haven't been there since I graduated high school.
You're a communist.
Was there a fan?
Because I've known each other for 15 years.
He and I have never been.
Charlotte, you and I have known each other for almost five and a half years.
We've never been.
Brandon, I've known for probably six or seven years.
We've never been.
And I don't think any of the combination of three of you have ever been.
No.
At the same time.
Why did I want him?
And the Commodore's her plan this year.
The night after Kelly Pickler.
Just about your fire.
I've got nothing bad to say about Kelly Pickler after what she did for her best friend.
Have you seen this?
This is her best friend since childhood was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She's had a double mastectomy.
She's a mother of two.
She went through chemo, lost her hair.
Kelly Pickler shaved her head in solidarity with her.
Oh.
So I got I got nothing bad to say about the pickler.
She still sucks as a musician.
She's making more money than me.
So let's go over this the previous week in the NFL.
The Thursday night game as the Giants beat Carolina 36 to seven.
Did not cover the spread.
Did you see the picture of Cam Newton?
Oh.
In the Charlotte.
There's a Hello Kitty.
Hello Kitty shirt.
Yeah.
So let me tell you something.
Just real quick.
Just want to throw this out there.
Cam Newton.
If you're going to do your I'm Superman touchdown dance.
Make sure you're not down 13 when you do it.
Just just check a scoreboard.
It's all I'm asking you to do.
It's all I'm asking.
Jacksonville over Indianapolis.
22 to 17.
Maurice Jones drew carrying that team literally.
28 rushes for 177 yards in a touchdown.
Andrew Luck still gets over 300 yards passing.
But man that team didn't work.
Buffalo beats Cleveland in the what the what game of the week.
Ryan Fitzpatrick clears 200 yards and three touchdowns.
Trent Richardson.
That dude's got an uphill battle in Cleveland.
But that's a grown as much talent as that kid has.
I don't know that he can carry that entire team.
I don't know if that's the what the what game of the week.
The Jets have to take over time to beat my beloved dolphins.
23 to 20 as Revis Island is shut down for the year.
I was at ACL or MCL.
It's one of the two.
KC over New Orleans.
It's another what the what game of the week as they beat him in 2724
in overtime drew breeze 20 of 36243 touchdowns in a pick.
New Orleans is in champs.
Absolute champs.
Darn.
Cincinnati over the redskins 38 to 31.
Robert Griffin the third 21 of 34 to 21 and a touchdown.
Rookie of the years won't be real interesting this year.
I think he'll end up winning.
I don't know.
Tennessee over Detroit.
Also at overtime 44 to 41 sucks to have the under in that game.
Jake Locker 29 to 42 378 and two touchdowns.
Minnesota over San Francisco.
So San Francisco starting to realize who they are.
Christian Ponder.
Plank hits playing ball 21 to 35 198 and two touchdowns.
Chicago beats the tar at a St. Louis 23 to 6.
Atlanta over San Diego.
So San Diego realizing who they are in a game that breaks my heart.
Dallas wins their home opener over my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16 to 10.
But Dallas is top performer.
DeMarco Murray 18 rushes for 38 yards in a touchdown.
Call that that front four.
You didn't even make two yards a rush.
That's why the Tampa Bay is good.
Well, Josh Freeman 10 to 28 110 touchdown on a pick.
Dallas did not look good in this game.
Cowboy fans that were running their mouths after you beat the Giants.
You might want to rethink that plan.
Arizona beats the tar at a Philadelphia.
As Kevin Cobb lights up his old team 17 of 24 222 yards and two touchdowns.
Then we have Don's beloved Pittsburgh Steelers going down to
the Oakland right.
34 to 31 Rocklessberger has a decent day 36 to 49 384 yards in four touchdowns.
Now was he West Virginia?
No, but we'll talk about them when we go on campus.
Oh, the wild Denver loses the Houston 31 to 25.
But Payton still passes for over 300 yards and has two touchdowns.
He threw 500 because of 26 to 52 330 yards.
Baltimore.
Okay, both prime time games ending in controversy this week.
We start on Sunday night.
Brandon, have you seen the footage?
Yes, I have.
Was that a field goal?
No.
Chad, have you seen the footage?
Yes, I have.
Was it a field goal?
No, Charlotte.
Have you seen the footage?
Yes.
Was it a field goal?
Yes.
Because it's a purple team and I like purple.
We're going to do something with her with this this year.
And we just never put it together or something about Charlotte picking teams based on colors.
Yeah, we were.
That's how it's racist.
I don't want to sound racist.
No team colors.
Not colors.
Okay.
Okay.
I was like, let's take a red scheme.
Because that doesn't exactly make picking the teams in easier.
Just go with that one breathe for a minute.
That's Brandon.
I have seen the footage.
That is not a field goal.
The ball passed in front of the upright.
Yeah.
But they said, oh, it went.
If it goes exactly over the top.
But it didn't go over the top.
It fell in front of it.
I'm 3000 miles away.
I saw it.
So he's TV wonder.
And then Monday night.
In the catch that was a catch, but wasn't a catch.
You got you got to make the the quote that they were talking about.
Did you see the thing that was on Twitter?
I don't know.
Some guy put a post on Twitter and said, okay, so by that logic, by NFL logic,
if I'm carrying a baby and you come and touch the baby,
do I have to give the baby to you?
If I hug the baby, if I hug the baby, if I hug you and the baby,
and then there's the baby in our mind.
I disagree with it for the simple fact that it was golden tape.
Golden tape, first of all, didn't have possession of the ball.
The rule is if both people, both the, the, the cat, the receiver and the defender
have possession of the ball, then Ty goes to the runner,
which don't ever say that to friend of the show Chris Randall,
because he will go eight because there's no rule.
It's as the Ty goes to the runner.
But, but we still have the other factor in this call.
Golden tape only had one hand on the ball.
Exactly.
Which now did you, did you see, though, what that cost of Vegas?
Because by that catch, Seattle or Green Bay didn't cover.
It was like a $50 million swing in gambling debts.
Well, then you shouldn't be gambling.
It's a sin.
Yeah, there was a certain website.
I can't remember which, they never said which website it was.
But if you placed your bet on this website, it was an offshore site.
They actually refunded all bets.
Why?
Because of this one play.
Which, apparently, and I didn't watch the game,
but the play before was a blown pass interference call that would have ended the game anyway.
You see, right there, they refunded all the bets.
So if I were to bet the under and they were just on the line,
not the overrun.
I'd have been upset anyway.
I mean, I don't think it affected the overrun, though, did it?
It would have if you were well done now.
Because it was only.
But if you would have picked Seattle to win,
and they refunded all the bets, and I had money on Seattle.
Yeah.
I'd be upset right now.
I'll be overseas right now.
So the next day, there is such an uproar
that we find out late Wednesday nights
that the real reps will be back to play for the game on Thursday nights.
And they got a standing ovation when they walked out onto that field Thursday night.
And I'm telling you, that love affair is over by next week.
What killed me the most, I think,
when I found out where they got some of these reps from.
I actually saw this on a story on ESPN right before the problem got resolved.
Yes.
Some of them came from the lingerie football league.
Yes.
And D3, they were actually looking at using high school reps at one point.
They got, they hired them from the lingerie football league
because they were fired for bad, officiating.
I saw.
How do you get bad officiating in the lingerie?
I saw NFL representatives at foot locker before.
Cross.
Cross the goal line by nose.
No, wait, oh my god.
That is terrible.
You're, you're referee skills or terrible.
Um.
Does somebody have a writing utensil?
Because I, Chad, do you have my pencil?
Because if we're going to do this thing, we're going to do this thing right.
Also, a couple of fines come down.
Bill Bella check.
It's fine.
$50,000 for grabbing the referee on after the game on Sunday night.
Kyle Shanahan gets $25,000 fine for chasing one of them into the tunnel after a game.
I saw one of the players that just put on Twitter.
F it.
Just find me to 50 grand and pay the reps.
Use it to pay the reps and get it.
They got, they got paid this week anyway.
Yes, they did.
$375,000.
I, I don't agree with them getting pension in 401k.
That was one of the big sticking points.
I don't agree with that.
Your part time.
Yeah.
Most of them are doctors and lawyers in the offseason anyway.
So if you don't, if you don't have a retirement plan for the you need to figure something out.
How do they get put into a retirement plan?
They don't know.
That's one of the things they wanted.
Two weeks.
One of the things they wanted.
For the replacement.
No, for the regular.
Oh, I'm like, whatever.
Man, that's wrong with them having a 401k.
I'm wondering why you had a problem with this.
Because they're part time.
How's that any different from a teacher though?
Teachers are not part time, my friend.
Yeah, but we have three solid months off.
It's like an offseason.
Yeah.
But you also, like, how many teachers do you know make six figures away from teaching?
But I thought they wanted them to quit their regular jobs and just be red.
Now, if that's the case, I'm good.
But I don't think that was ever agreed upon.
Because I thought when they first went on strike, that's what the thing was.
They want them to be full time risks.
I'm good with that.
If you want to be, you know, if you're 70 and don't want to work, I'm good with that.
But if you're making six figures when you're not a referee,
you have a pension plan.
You have something in place.
And if you don't, then you're just a moron.
But how does this affect me one way or the other?
You know, if you get in, what you fit in is what I'm saying.
I just don't agree with it.
And I'm standing by that.
I'm just saying.
Well, you just do that.
Looking ahead, we are in the middle of week four, the Thursday night game.
Baltimore over Cleveland, 23 to 6.
Joe Flacco, 28 of 46, 356.
A touchdown and a pick.
Somebody said the other day that Joe Flacco is the perfect secret identity name for our superhero.
Yeah.
My old men and recourse.
Joe Flacco.
Can you see Joshua Cribs get knocked out?
I was working.
I can see the game.
I monitor the box score.
Is it happening?
He was asleep on the field.
Ham it off and everything.
Good.
Tomorrow, your early games.
San free.
Okay, we're going to do this.
Charlie, you ready?
I'm ready.
Sharla's picks.
Based completely.
Sharla's knowledge of football is that there's a game and that there's a victorious secret in Cowboys Stadium now.
Yes.
That is that is Sharla's extent of football knowledge, which there's nothing wrong with that.
I figured out what the line of scrimmage was though the other day.
Okay, that's good news.
Moving up.
We're getting it.
Did you know?
Do you understand how that relates to the neutral zone?
What?
Okay, then move around.
So don't come at you.
Now that you understand, Sharla's don't get start tracking knowledge about the about the great American game.
Sharla's going to pick her games based solely and completely on that knowledge base.
Now, let me ask this.
Should we go ahead to head?
No.
Thank you, Sue.
Sharla, what do you think?
You and her?
Yeah, leave me and him out of this.
Sharla?
Yeah, that's fine.
Head to head.
Okay.
And we're not.
This is basically straight up.
We're not going by betting lines or anything else.
Okay.
We start with the early games.
San Francisco at the New York Football Jets.
San Francisco.
All right.
Everybody looks good and red.
I should probably print this up, but I'll print it later.
So Sharla's picking San Francisco.
I will go with the Jets just because I can't pick against Tibo.
The loyalty.
I guess I can.
I told Don, you know, I'll root for your guys because they're playing the Jets.
But if Tibo comes in, I'm going on a heel turning into the chair.
I'm just letting you know.
Also, early game on your local Fox affiliate, if you were in such a place.
Seattle.
The Seattle St. Hawks at the St. Louis Rams.
Seattle.
Seattle.
I am also going to say Seattle just because they're on a bit of a roll.
A little bit.
Yes.
They're playing.
Don't.
Don't give any knowledge.
Oh.
This is because you don't have a knowledge of what's going on here.
Okay.
I don't want to shatter any of these illusions.
Well, I mean, I watch on.
Also at noon.
The Carolina Panthers at the Atlanta Falcons.
I like Panthers.
Pick the Panthers.
All right.
I'm going the other way just because Atlanta playing very well, especially at home right now.
It's I like the way I can say Carolina Panthers.
Merka.
What the heck?
I'm sharpening my pencil.
Jesus.
You sold my pencil all the way down.
It's a Janssen.
Also at noon.
The Minnesota Vikings at the Detroit Lions.
Oh, that's so hard because once purple and then it's a lion.
I love this show.
I'm going to go with the lions.
It makes me think of the Wizard of Oz where he's like, put him up.
I am also picking Detroit.
Oh.
I love this show because I'm going to have an empty, happy, diamond nail.
So I can shove an air bubble in my body.
The San Diego Super Chargers travel to Kansas City.
Kansas City.
Here I come.
Kansas City, here I come.
I'm going with San Diego just because Casey is so schizo.
You can't predict them.
Wow.
There's some pretty lady ladies there.
I'm going to give me one.
I think this is the longest NFL segment we've ever done.
The Tennessee Titans at the Houston Texans.
Oh, Houston.
Charlotte taking Houston.
I am also going to take Houston because Tennessee is horrific.
New England at Buffalo in an AFC East divisional matchup.
Who was the first team?
New England at Buffalo.
New England.
I only know who the frick Buffalo is.
They are the bills.
No, I'm not picking them.
They have a Buffalo as their mascot.
Did they actually have a real Buffalo?
I don't know if they do or not, but both teams are the same colors.
They're both red, white and blue.
Oh, why didn't you know Buffalo had a team?
So I'm going to go with you.
Those people, those people Buffalo don't know what they have to see.
You didn't know Buffalo had a team?
No.
But that's OK.
Remember that the knowledge base you're working with on this bit, OK?
What her Dallas Cowboys played them twice was Super Bowl in the 90s.
I was five.
She was five.
And you were 45.
But for the record, that wasn't me.
Me neither.
The Cincinnati Bengals are at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I really like the color scheme on the Bengals, but I like Jaguars.
I'm going to go with the Bengals.
We're picking a lot of the same teams on this.
We have the Denver Broncos hosting the Oakland right.
Broncos.
All right, she's going Denver.
I'm actually going the other way on this one.
Just because I think that the Peyton may have hit a skid.
And Oakland needs the win.
My beloved Miami Dolphins are at the Arizona Cardinals.
I'm going to pick Miami.
I don't really like their color scheme.
I have to take my dolphins.
And Arizona's just.
I think Kevin Cobb's do for a bad day.
The Washington Redskins at my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Redskins.
I'm taking my back in the years.
That's a good game.
That is going to be.
That could be.
By the way, you look like your late game started with Cincinnati Jacksonville.
Your last late game tomorrow, the New Orleans Saints travel to.
The frozen tundra of Lamboville.
To take on the Green Bay Packers.
Pick Green Bay.
I'm going with Green Bay as well.
This thing may not be very pretty.
New Orleans is in shambles and Green Bay's at home.
And they're really mad right now.
Oh, yeah.
Your Sunday night game.
The new in an NFC East matchup.
The New York Giants are at the vet.
To take on or what they call the link now.
Yeah.
To take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mark.
Um.
I'm going to pick the.
Oh.
The Giants.
Don't tell my boyfriend.
I'm going with the Giants too.
I think that they're, I think they're due for a good performance.
And I think Philly's been kind of limping a little bit.
I think Michael fit can't throw four picks against the Giants.
And in the Monday night game this week.
That Chad will be able to watch.
The Chicago Bears come to Dallas to take on your Dallas Cowboys.
I'm going to be there.
You will be there.
Um.
And I'm going to pick the Cowboys.
I'm going the other way there.
If I had to pick anybody but the Cowboys, I wouldn't have been able to go home tonight.
Like the locks would have been changed.
Like sit outside.
I'm taking Chicago.
I think Chicago can rely on the run and really do some damage that Dallas defense.
So we'll check back with these next week and see how each of us did.
As we have now wrapped up an NFL talk, we're going to do a little bit of NHL talk.
You're on the scene of the clubhouse live every Saturday night.
Join us.
October that's 28 for WWE.
How on the cell live at Fox and Houndon Richardson, Texas.
Just west of Central Expressway on Campbell Road right behind the McDonald's.
The overrunner on Green Beach Seattle was 45.
So the call did not affect the overrunner.
Don says.
So it was more of the points right than it was the overrunner affected everything else.
Right.
So some interesting news coming out of the NHL out of the great city of Seattle.
It has been voted that the city will pay for the construction of an arena that will house both hockey and basketball.
Which we talked about a little bit last week on the show if I'm not mistaken.
And we were like, well, who's going to go there?
And then I heard this piece of news and my brain exploded.
Apparently the city of Seattle is in talks with Edmonton.
The Oilers want to leave Edmonton.
Oh my god.
What?
Why on earth?
What the crap?
Horrible, horrible idea.
It was weird enough for me when Hartford, not when Hartford looked as Hartford's in Connecticut,
but when when when the peg left and they got their team back.
But well, not right now because they're still in negotiation.
Negotiations happened today but did not go anywhere.
We are still locked out.
Who's going to be playing basketball there?
They haven't talked about that yet.
Building an arena with no teams.
New Orleans.
Just saying.
I think if there's a team that's going to move to Seattle, I think New Orleans is number one on that list.
I think you could probably put Golden State on that list with giving the problems that they've been having.
Although they're talking about moving to Oakland.
Just move across the bridge.
That'd be fine.
Where did they go?
Who?
When Seattle left town.
They went to Oklahoma City.
That's the thing on the thunder.
Okay, I couldn't remember.
Because remember the guy that bought the team was from Oklahoma City said we're not moving the team and then he moved the team.
Okay, that's right.
I just Edmonton leaving the oil.
Gretzky messy.
I can't, I can't put it in my brain.
I mean, great.
There's no in each other right now anyway.
And I promised we wouldn't give them any more time.
But this story hits and we've got to talk about it.
It's like the Yankees leave in New York.
That's just the weirdest.
When I heard that, I was like, what?
How does a Canadian team lose a hockey team?
Well, I mean, quite a few of them lost it in the big resurgence in the early 90s.
But that's one that you just don't think would ever leave its roots behind.
That's a heritage team.
I don't know, it blew my mind.
But that's really all we've got.
Talks are still going on.
Nothing else going on.
Let's move into music news because we are your one-stop shopper all things sports and entertainment.
Found out on Wednesday.
George straight.
Gonna do one more to it.
Leader of quite a few people that I know.
My former co-hosts on this show, Big George Straight Fan.
So I haven't had a chance to talk to Cody.
I'm interested in his opinion on this.
2013-2014 tour will be his final tour.
And I've heard from many, many different sources that this is from a musical standpoint.
This is one of the best live concerts you will go to as you walk this planet.
That there's not a lot of pizzazz.
There's not a lot of talking between songs.
George just comes out and here we go.
That's what I pay to see.
I'm just saying.
I'm sure that's what you pay to see.
I would pay to see him.
I was going to let it go.
I was just going to let that one ride.
Thoughts on this though.
Because this to me, this is one of those...
I mean, this guy's had a career going for a long time.
I kind of thought he was already retired.
Well, George is one of those guys that he tours when he wants to because he can.
But as somebody who has about as much use for country music as this wall to my right.
But you don't have to have used for country music to have respect for the country.
This guy's got over almost 60 number one single.
No disrespect to the guy, but I don't dig the music itself.
So it doesn't really affect me one way or the other.
You can have Randy Travis open for him.
No, he can't.
Naked.
Want some course line and cigarettes.
Lord, I haven't mercy on a trade, Rick.
Show always is in this combination of people in the room.
I'm talking about Randy Travis' life.
I'm wrong with both y'all.
When your mug shot looks worse than Nick Nolte's did.
Or James Brown's.
James Brown's last one was pretty bad.
And I swear all three of those guys, they're mug shots.
I'll look like Bill the cat from Bloomskin.
It's all you can hear when you're in the background.
Boy, that's a dated reference.
I just wanted to know.
But everybody got it.
We have a biocondios to give in the world of music as Andy Williams passed away this past week at the age of 84.
Unfortunately, the song he was most famous for was stolen by Chevy Chase.
Good moon river.
My shit up.
He was born on December 3rd, 1927 in Wall Lake, Iowa.
So we are both born in the same state.
But he graduated from Western Hills High School in Cincinnati.
He had three older brothers.
His first performance was at a children's choir at the local Presbyterian Church.
His brothers formed a quartet in late 1938.
His solo career began in 1953.
His big break was when he landed a spot as a regular on the Tonight Show with Steve Allen in 1954.
His only billboard number one hit in February of 1957 was a cover of Charlie Gracie's Butterfly.
Also, a number one in the UK.
Home of your lovely wife.
When I hear this music bed, I think of like a one-eyed cat.
A sick dog.
For just 17 today.
No, that's angel.
It's not this song.
There's one with a, like a one-eyed cat.
One of those late night uniforms.
In 1970?
Lord.
There goes a wheel.
He had a great career.
He did a lot of collaborations with Henry Mancini and what did Moon River come from?
Anybody?
Charlie?
Anybody?
No?
I was given that one to her.
He actually sang it at the 1962 Oscars.
And it actually won.
But it was never released as a single.
Which is why I wasn't a billboard hit or anything like that.
I wonder why.
I wonder why.
He started in a production called Rome Swings, which was the opening show on August 5th, 1966 of Caesar's Palace.
Oh, dear Vegas.
He actually sang Ave Maria at the funeral of Robert F. Kennedy and the battle hymn of the Republic.
They were released as a single, but never on an album.
He also did, where do I begin the theme song from Love Story?
Great.
Oh gosh, I like that song.
I mean, the guy's got skins on the wall.
I thought Charlie Bassy did that.
Not that version.
I've got a version of Charlie Bassy singing it.
Oh, I'm sure.
So if I had cone deos to that young man, 84 years old, you should call me a young man.
Everybody's young.
Everybody's younger than somebody else.
And we're all younger than you.
So we're moving on.
Then I read this next story, which is very confusing to me, because there will be a death time.
The original Beach Boys all back together.
And then we find out Thursday that Mike Love has fired Brian Wilson, Al Jardin, and David Moss.
So now it's just like the Beach Boy.
Yeah, maybe or maybe not with John Stamos.
We don't know.
I like that it's not the Beach Boys.
It's a jack hole.
You don't pitch this as together again if you fire at the band.
Does he have the power to do that?
He owns the rights to everything I make.
So what called up his backside?
Lord only knows that that's always been a very odd relationship.
All those guys together.
If you're a fan of the Carrie Underwood, hello nurse.
She would be doing VH1 unplugged this Tuesday.
I'm a little intrigued, not enough to set my DVR, but I am intrigued.
Probably not enough room.
And then there's this story.
Wow, no joke.
The I Heart Music Festival happens in Las Vegas last weekend.
And Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day has an absolute meltdown.
Lost it.
You're harder about this?
No.
Apparently he was getting, and it wasn't the 15 minute sign.
It was the one minute sign.
Really?
Okay, because I had to learn about this for you a little bit.
You know how comedians get like the blue light, blue and red light that flashes.
That tells them you need to wrap it up.
He had like what he thought was like at least 15 or 20 minutes.
They told him he had one minute to go because they were cutting green days.
Set short to extend usher's set.
Wow.
So Billy Joe Armstrong absolutely melts down.
F-bombing left and right.
And basically saying I'm not f-ing Justin Bieber.
Destroyes his guitar and runs off stage.
Just absolutely hacked.
Which, they're green day.
They got skins on the wall.
They got their own rock band game for God's sake.
Yeah, I mean, they're coming up on the, we're coming up on the 20th anniversary of their first album,
which was one of the great, great album titles of our time called Duky.
But...
It's not like these guys are just some young upstairs.
They're not Mumford and Sons for God's sake.
I'm like Mumford and Sons.
But...
But they're not new like them.
Exactly.
And...
Who in New Jersey is usher to say, yeah, cut these guys short,
because I need extra 15 minutes to...
They've been around about the sun.
Because I'm going to sing throwback again.
And then the next day, he checks into rehab.
If I'm the band, I'm going...
There's a lot of words I can't sing on this show that I'm singing to you.
Er, sure.
Justin Timberlake's burden you anyway.
Exactly.
I was...
I was flabbergasted when I saw that.
I'm like, wow.
Somebody's got some...
I did not want to be the guy that had the stones to hold that sign up and say, yeah, Billy Joe.
Could you and the guys wrap it up right now?
Okay, so I want to give a little bit of time to this next story.
Because...
This has happened right before the show started speaking of the aforementioned beeper.
And I don't even...
I'm not even going to try to paraphrase because I want to read this story.
Okay.
This comes from Entertainment Weekly.
So, love to our fans over at EntertainmentWeekly, EW.com.
Hey Justin Bieber fans in Tennessee.
Both of you.
Both of you.
Do you have trouble scoring tickets to your boys upcoming show?
You're not alone.
According to documents obtained by Nashville's news channel five.
They're on your side.
Thank you.
Wait, we stole that from Bob and Tom.
Of the nearly 14,000 tickets available for Bieber's fourth coming show at the Bridgestone Arena,
only 1,001 or 7% were actually allocated for sale to the general public.
Wow.
So, where did the rest of the tickets go?
That's where the information gets pretty damning.
About 6,000 were held for American Express customers who had access to a special pre-sale.
How do you explain that Bill?
I'm just saying.
Another 3,000 were held for members of Bieber's fan club who pay a fee for the opportunity to those seats.
500 more went to ticket masters platinum exchange program and another 900 were chopped up for various VIP packages.
But the smoking-est gun that's actually their wording is this.
An entire block of seats was reserved for Bieber's tour and some of those tickets are currently available on resale site tickets now for $216 a piece.
The bottom line is that not only are 7% of the available tickets available for actual face value,
but the Bieber camp is actually scalping its own tickets.
He's not alone though.
The station also found documents that noted that a Taylor Swift show at the same venue only left 1,600 tickets available to the general public.
And a Keith Urban show that promised $20 seats only had $389 of those available.
So, on one hand, artists, ticket and companies, and promoters are still trying to make money that would otherwise go to scalpers who often cut into an artist's bottom line.
On the other hand, these practices are as fan unfriendly as simply giving the tickets to scalpers as they're led to believe that they have fair access to something they actually do not.
Joe, he's touring with Carly Rae Jepsen right now.
Could not care less.
That's crappy!
Just knowing the age demographic of this...
Yeah.
I'm at a loss.
Unbelievable.
I'm at...
The Bebes needs to go on a firing spree. That's all I'm saying.
There are some, again, there are so many things I want to say, but I can't.
So, let's get into music new releases. Blake Shelton this week from the voice.
Releases his Christmas album, Cheers. It's Christmas. It's not yet. It's only September.
Diana Crawl, Mrs. Who?
Mrs. Elvis Costello.
Oh, okay. I hadn't had that.
Releases her new album, Glad Ragdoll. The only thing I have by her is a Christmas song, so that wouldn't help you.
And then we have a brand new album from this band.
Wow.
Hearts.
Releases fanatic this week. Shall we? You with me over there?
Yes.
He's got up a quiet on me. Let's check on him.
I hate Justin Bieber, so I try to block him out.
But Heart Releases fanatic, I'm going to tell you something.
I've seen some live footage of them recently.
Still getting it done.
Oh, why is that?
Bokily? She is still amazing.
Jackie Evancho, who is a very young Christian artist.
Does songs from the Silver Screen this week? Matt and Kim?
To get back with the kids in the hair, I believe.
Oh, there's somebody of note in this thing.
I want to say it's one of the Dutationals.
Emily?
Zoe's the singer. She does the cotton commercial.
Oh, it's not this.
Yeah, she is.
There are Matt Johnson and Kim, Shephino, hence Matt and Kim.
But I thought the Dational had something to do with them, but I could be wrong.
But they released their brand new album.
They're pretty popular with the kids with the clothes in the hair called Lightning.
Mew's trying to recover from that horrible Olympics theme.
Don didn't want to let you know, Chad.
He's willing to hook you up with a Bieber CD for your birthday, which is a week from tomorrow.
I just have Shephino with my ARP card.
I thought you got that like five or six years ago.
No, that's just here.
Shoot myself before you reload the gun.
It's why I'm avoiding birthday references, because I knew I was going to get crammed down my throat with an anvil and a hot poker.
Who is that Mr. Grumpy Gills?
And then also a new album from this band.
A bunch of whiny brats.
Papa Roach releases the connection this week.
Another band, for people that I always think when I hear this band, I think of people that smell.
I don't know why.
The tragically hip.
Now for Plan A is the name of the album.
The return of the wall flowers this week.
Jacob Dylan and the boys with glad all over.
Three days grace releases a brand new album called Transit of Venus.
Another person I kind of think might smell too.
Tori Amos releases Gold Dust.
And another album from Van Morrison.
The great Van Morrison releases Born to Sing a Plan B.
So I suppose you're supposed to buy the tragically hip album.
Listen to that.
Exactly.
And then listen to the Van Morrison album.
You know I'm going.
Yeah. Good call sir.
Well played.
Let's do a little uh, a major league baseball news.
That could not have been planned.
Charlotte, did you see this?
This first story?
Did you hear about this?
Someone told me about it.
Yes.
The uh, very poor performance from the Boston Red Sox this year has prompted them to offer,
to make an offer to their season ticket holders after the season is over this week.
Uh, that they're going to let them come and take, was it, I think it was like five swings of batting practice with the team over a three day period.
Ooh.
Sounds like tryouts.
Yeah.
About to say.
I, I smell a sequel to invincible coming.
I think it's kind of neat though.
You got to do something for them.
I was bad as they wore this year.
Take five swings.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And congratulations to the Oakland athletics for setting a record for the most strikeouts by a team in a season.
And it's not over yet.
So they're still adding to that total.
They beat the 2007 Tampa Bay Rays who had over 1300 strikeouts set as a team.
And they beat it.
That's so sad.
I wonder what it is compared to the Astro.
It was like what their strikeout is.
Oh.
That may be perpetual.
I don't know.
Let's go to your standings.
Charles was beloved Boston Red Sox and the AL East 21 and a half games back there.
A half game behind Toronto.
They have lost three straight.
So they and Toronto are out of it.
The Tampa Bay Rays are only four back.
The Orioles now a half game back of the Yankees.
The Yankees magic number is five.
So barring a meltdown.
It's either going to be New York or Baltimore Tampa Bay.
They're right there on the edge.
In the AL Central, the Minnesota twins 19 and 19 games back, they are out of it.
The Cleveland Indians with a run differential of minus 170 are only a half game better than the twins.
The Royals in the middle of the pack.
But right now it's all down to Chicago and Detroit.
Chicago to back to the magic number for Detroit is three.
In the AL West, Seattle.
Thanks for playing.
We also have a thanks for playing award to go to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles County, California, America, North America, Earth Milky Way.
There are five games back.
So there's a possibility.
But it would absolutely have to create a meltdown both by the A's and Texas.
The Rangers currently two and a half games up on Oakland.
But it's not as a lock yet.
They've got to went out.
Take that CJ Wilson.
In the NL West, the Colorado Rockies.
The Colorado Rockies are 30 games out of first place.
They're still a chance.
Yeah.
They're 62.
But you know what?
But the good news for Colorado's are not going to lose 100 games because they got 62 wins.
Huh?
So they're not going to lose 100 games.
I think we only have 100 game loser right now.
Yeah, there's only one possibility.
And they've got it.
Well, there's one more team that can do it if they try hard enough.
San Diego 18 games back.
So they're out of it.
Arizona 13 games back.
So they're out of it.
The Dodgers are now 10 back.
The San Francisco Giants have clinched the division.
In the NL Central, the Houston Astros with 105 losses are 43 games out of first place.
So they'll be moving very, very soon to the American League.
The Chicago Cubs only two games away from losing 100 games as well.
So I'm saying there's a chance for the cup fans.
There are 36 games back.
Pittsburgh, Don's beloved Pittsburgh pirates right in the middle of the pack.
But they are 19 games back.
They've lost three straight.
The Brewers 15 games back.
The Cardinals 10 games back.
So the Reds have locked the division in the only division that matters in the National League East.
My Miami Marlins 28 games back.
But they're not going to lose 100 games.
They're still below 500, but they're not going to lose 100 games.
The Mets.
Meet the Mets.
Greet the Mets.
Come on out.
Beat the Mets.
They're 22 games back.
The Philly 17 back.
The Braves and the Nationals both have secured playoff spots.
But they are in a...
They're locked up at a tight one.
Atlanta's four games back.
But the Nationals' magic number is only two.
The Nationals right now have a plus 137 run differential.
Your wild card standings.
Because we're in the last week of the year.
Last week of the season.
Is it?
Well, yeah.
October, yeah.
In the American League, your wild card numbers are as follows.
Baltimore.
As the magic number of three, they have five games left.
So Baltimore and Oakland would do the one game playoff if it happened today.
The Angels are two and a half back.
The Tampa Bay Razor three back.
Those are really the only teams that have a shot right now because the White Sox are seven back.
So the White Sox have to win the division to get in.
In the National League, Atlanta's locked theirs down.
St. Louis right now would be the other team.
But LA is three games back.
The Brewers are five back.
Arizona's six back, but I don't see them getting in.
So remember, you've got two wild cards.
They'll play on one game playoff.
The winner of that game gets into the next round.
That's how this works.
So be prepared for that.
Okay.
To take a breath here.

I have to change it.
It's the clubhousepodcast.com now.
Also, like our page on Facebook.
Look up the clubhouse podcast.
Had somebody from the job like a couple days ago.
I noticed that.
That made me smile when you do that.
Also, make sure that you follow this show on Twitter at ClubhouseShow.
You can follow me on Twitter at yes.
That Rob Irvin that is spelled E-R-V-I-N.
I am at Chad N-P-G-6-9.
Oh, dark wall bird.
I'm Dame Charlotte Parker on Pinterest.
Did you change it on Pinterest yet?
It won't let me change it.
On my Facebook, it says you have to use your real name.
I'm like, how do you know it's not my real name?
Because the Illuminati knows.
They know everything.
They're not real.
Yes, they are.
I thought they ran Pinterest until they became available for everybody.
Let us now go into a section of this show that we call POI,
which is Person of Interest.
Patent pending CBS.
Person of Interest is a segment we do.
We put down the show for about a year now.
Where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
And Charlotte actually came up with POI tonight.
So, Dame Charlotte Parker.
I'm going to let you start the discussion.
It's got a darn nice ring to it.
You need to have your voice mail say that now, too.
I don't even think my voice mail say my name.
Can I do it for you?
You have reached Dame Charlotte Parker.
She does not have to sell my Julia child.
If she had wanted to pick up the phone, she would have.
So we are not amused by your uncle.
So, when you do your after the show.
When you do that, outgoing voice may have to do with a monocle in your eye.
And your pinky raise holding your cup of tea.
I'll let Julia.
Did you ever listen to the voice mail I sent you the other day?
Yes, I did.
Yes, it did.
It made me smile.
Whatever you sent me to voice mail, you always run the risk of me not leaving.
So, not the best one I've ever left.
I shared the best voice mail I ever left her.
I was playing a voice mail prompt on her voice mail.
I said, your voice mail has been answered by an automated voice system.
Did the whole thing.
The thing was, he always leaves a voice mail.
And this time, he called and I felt like he didn't because it had been a long time.
But, like, 10 minutes later, I get the chance that I got a voice mail.
Because it was like 10 minutes long.
And it was my big Southern dummy voice.
Early message for you.
And I'm sitting right next to him in the car going, you're a dork man.
Oh.
It's a good head, Charles.
I chose cartoons.
What about them?
Well, working at this new job, the kids, you know, they watched all this stuff.
And they had this one on the other day called the last air bender.
And I was sitting down and I was watching.
Which is actually called what?
Avatar.
Correct.
But where the stupid thunder smurs movie happens.
Anyways, we were watching it.
And just the graphics and the storyline were just terrible.
And I was like, why can't we watch something like, I wish we had like a pinky in the brain.
There or an animaniac or something like that.
But they said that that's not kid friendly.
And I was like, oh.
Yeah, because it's not violent enough like Avatar the last air bender.
Yeah.
And like, but I'm thinking they're all fighting with swords and they're killing people.
But animaniacs wasn't okay.
Or dark winded.
The answer to the great shows ball, Tom.
Yes, it was.
And so I was just thinking these kids are just being robbed.
Because they don't have good cartoons to watch anymore.
And it made me sad.
Can I just say side track?
Your wife who is of British descent wants to know when since when does she raise her pinky while drinking tea?
She's done and she just doesn't realize it.
It's in your DNA.
We are not immune.
It's in your DNA precious.
I'm sorry.
Well, I'm just, I just feel like this generation of kids doesn't get it.
Doesn't get it.
Like, they will settle for crap.
That's what I feel like they're doing.
Because the, what they're being spoon fed now is maybe this is just going to be old good old day sundrome setting in.
But I wonder though if they like did sit down and watch something like, you know, Scooby Doo or Duck Tales or something like that.
Would they appreciate it?
Or would they just be like, me?
Me.
Me.
I just, no.
I, I just want to put what's opera doc on in front of them and watch their face.
Ready to cartoon short of all time.
Watch their face melt.
I'm like, this, this one an Oscar kid.
It's actually have the audio for that.
This is how it's done.
I just, I think that if there's not someone getting killed in it, they don't want to watch it.
Probably.
But see, to me, I also wonder because there are a few exceptions.
Young justice, I think, is great.
Yeah.
Green learning animated series, I think is great.
Avengers Ursmite is heroes.
I think it's where you probably see a theme running here.
Yeah.
But stuff that's, stuff that's, I don't know.
I just, I don't know if they've, have they dumbed down the writing?
They've dumbed down the writers.
I mean, having listened to coincidentally enough, listening to Bruce Tim.
And, uh.
Batman on Batman.
And Paul Dean, these interviews with Kevin Smith on, on, on podcast last night.
It's called Fat Man on Batman.
And you hear the path that Paul Deany took to get to writing Batman the animated series.
He worked on tiny two adventures.
He worked on all this stuff.
He worked on, uh.
What was the filmation stuff he said he was associated with black star?
Dark star.
Dark star, um.
He also worked on, he, man.
GI Joe.
You know, this is the stuff he grew up on.
But like, animating X and all that.
I didn't understand half of the little jokes and stuff.
Oh, watch it now.
Oh, watch it now.
You're like, it's the best stuff you've ever watched.
By the way, 22's volume three coming in January.
See, I gotta start collecting this because I got volume one.
I don't have volume two either.
I just got the Looney Tunes platinum collection on Blu-ray a couple weeks ago.
And it'll make it cry.
It looks phenomenal.
It's that good.
Wait for it.
Told you I had the audio for this.
Even we quiet.
I'm hunting rabbits.
They couldn't do this again.
I don't think they can't do this anymore.
Because the kids have an attention span of a.
Charlie, have you ever seen this?
I think so.
Greatest cartoon short of all time.
I mean, it won an Oscar.
An Oscar.
Wow.
Yeah.
Not many animated features.
Shorts can say that.
This one and the one were Leopold.
There's a sort that, but we're Bugs Bunny is being tormented by this very portly opera singer.
And he's performing a something that looks like the Hollywood Bowl.
And Bugs Bunny shows up in this tuxedo.
And they think he's this famous conductor named Leopold.
So he gets up there and he starts conducting this opera singer.
And the guy hits the high note.
And Bugs is just waving his hand up just to keep him holding it.
And at one point Bugs just pulls his hand the glove and the glove still standing there.
He goes and sits.
Sins off an order form.
Waste by the mailbox.
Mailman shows up.
Drops off.
Gives him earmuffs.
He puts the earmuffs on.
Goes back on sticks his hand back in the glove.
Gloves still in there.
And this guy is turning like 19 different colors because he's using the same note.
He's like on the ground like smack it into the glove.
Then finally a boulder crashes another guy.
For instance, today on Nickelodeon they debuted a new Teenager Ninja Turtle series.
And last time on Smackdown they showed a clip from it.
And I was like somewhere Eastman and Laird either have completely sold out
or they're crying like children.
Yeah, because I bought miles those action figures like two or three weeks ago.
And I looked at the action figures.
I'm like these aren't even the action figures I have when I look at these days.
Why do we have tape on their hands?
What's going on?
I'm here with their MMA fighters now.
And Don didn't say that the Leopold or the Amplitheater falling apart and he's still there.
If I don't know if it's a creativity problem, I don't know if we're just catering to a...
Stupid generation.
Yeah, it's dumbed down.
It's dumbed down.
Now, not to say we didn't have our stinkers.
We did.
Pac-Man, the animated series anyone.
I'm not saying everything that we grew up on was quality because I honestly,
especially after hearing Dini talk about it, the Transformers stuff was kind of karate.
As far as...
But the thing about that, if you compare the old Transformers series,
you really didn't have the artistic license from a violent standpoint.
So it was...
Go back and watch G.I. Joe.
Nobody died every time a plane blew up.
You jumped out right before...
Yeah, the guy always hit the silk.
It's a pair of us.
You came right out.
I'm like, wow, this guy's good.
But you know what changed all that to me?
That man, the animated series.
Yes.
Absolutely.
That was the turning point because when they proved that you could take something like that
and go dark with it and still not only be good, but be entertaining.
Because that was right before X-Men, if I'm not mistaken.
X-Men came right after that.
That's when it all changed.
But it didn't last long enough because they weren't...
The company's like, well, this isn't as marketable as it could be.
We need to make more kid friendly.
I don't know, man.
They got a pretty good run out of that in all of its iterations.
How they went from Batman to the new adventures of Batman and Robin to Batman and Superman to Justice League to Justice League and Limit League.
They had a really, really good run.
And also the firm belief of anything animated DC outside of Young Justice should always be Bruce McPaltini.
I don't know, nobody else.
Yeah.
Just like those two do it.
But the stuff that...
I mean, I've got the Batman animated series.
I got the Joker and Batman sitting on my desk.
Yeah.
They're in my hands right now.
And so, I mean, some of the best riding I've ever seen in animated...
In an animated... not feature, but shorts.
And the fact that these things actually showed in prime time for a while.
There's still hope every now and then.
But, you know...
Oh, like, I...
Family guy's been around a long time.
Since it's been around a long time.
Kid friendly?
Not exactly.
So, it's either one extreme or the other.
It's either really, really stupid.
Then you've also got American dad.
Yeah.
Napoleon Dynamite.
Yeah.
What was that God awful thing that...
What was that God awful thing that...
The Gregory something, Alan Gregory?
Alan Gregory, yeah.
That stupid thing that...
Black Dynamite.
Oh, that is great.
But as far as...
What can we say that we...
That is on now that you would see a kid watching.
You're like, I can get behind that.
I can't think of anything.
It's either superhero stuff.
Because cartoon network is showing a bunch of live action stuff now.
Yeah, that makes me mad.
Like, I would say...
Okay, so you took a cue from MTV.
It's cartoon network, but you're showing live action stuff.
I guess since MTV isn't showing music anymore.
I wondered if part of it was...
I'm just getting old and I just don't...
I don't know.
I don't feel...
And part of me wonders that too is that old man Rob Syndrome.
Yeah.
Where I'm going like, you kids don't get it.
Or is it just that bad?
If we just dumbed it down some...
I mean, because it is the eternal argument.
Is it you're too old to understand what they're doing?
Or is it truly that bad?
Because our parents could have made the same exact argument.
But I don't think that because...
You understand?
My parents sat down and we all watched Bugs Bunny and Tiny Tunes together.
And they will say that's some of the best cartoons ever.
Yeah, Freakazooid had me in stitches every week.
Freakazooid was cheese.
I sat and watched Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls with my daughter when she grew up and loved it just about as much as she did.
Dexter's Lab, Dexter's Lab is cheese.
You know, I am Weasel and Cowan Chicken.
Where is that stuff?
Where the heck is that stuff?
You know, every Sunday morning before we went to church, we'd always watched like Richie Rich, Hannah Barbera.
Beenian Seasel.
Every Sunday morning we'd watch those.
Well, Hannah and Barbera, bro.
Hmm.
Which one of them was involved in that tribe?
Attempted Revival.
Tim?
Or is that he was Tim?
Yes.
I really can't agree with the argument that it's just, you know, old man Rob, old man Chad.
I know that pretty much is an understatement.
Old man Brandon, old lady Sharla.
That would be Dame Sharla.
That's Dame Old Lady.
Oh, Dame, excuse me.
I'm now changing the title of tonight's episode.
Are you old lady?
But, you know, we have appreciated the stuff that's come out over the course of the last what?
10 years up till maybe the last couple?
Yeah.
But what they're doing with some of our cherished properties.
But, you know, can we say that in all aspects of life, like when you look at music that
you listen to when you were a kid, is it better than it is now?
I would say so.
I think music they made when I was a kid is better than the crap that's on the radio now.
Yeah.
I've asked my 18 year old daughter, what do you think of the music that's on right now?
She goes, it's awful.
It sucks and I'm ashamed to say that it's my generation's music.
I'm like, okay, good.
It's not just me.
Oh, no, it's not just you.
Well, I think with the music, the stuff that they actually put on the radio is what's
crap.
Because if you listen to a lot of the stuff that's not on like real mainstream radio, it's
a whole lot better than what they're actually putting out there for people to buy.
They know what, like this drummer generation is going to pay their money to hear.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, a couple of guys and a couple of women get it still.
Bruno Mars gets it.
Yeah.
John Legend gets it.
We're getting into a different P.O.
But we're making a correlation here.
But there's still stuff that gets played on the radio now that I can still appreciate
because they get it.
It doesn't sound like a bunch of manufactured garbage.
And unfortunately, a lot of the animation that's on right now is simply put out there
to sell merchandise, period.
That's all it's there for is to sell toys.
It doesn't matter if the animation is good.
They just want to get something that catches kids' eyes that will hold their attention,
expand for a microsecond, so they can shove cereal ads and toy ads down their throat and
sell.
Yeah.
You know, that, I mean, it seems to me like that's what they, Deenian, Tim, were facing
up against.
They were forced to revamp their shows because it wasn't about quality anymore, about making
money.
Right.
Who's way too old and kids can't relate to a character like Batman?
What?
What?
Kids can't relate to a character like Batman.
Okay.
Wait, so what we watch after the show?
Oh, yeah, it's, it's, it's all about marketing.
It doesn't really matter how good this stuff is anymore.
I think it's just, we've lost the values.
I agree.
It's gone.
I agree.
I mean, Rob can say a few things about the core values.
I can't.
Things, you know, the, the, the lessons that he teaches at work and I wish that we could
do that in more aspects of life than just that because that's P.O.I.
We got a little great discussion.
We got really heated.
Better ones.
Well done, Charlotte.
Well done, Dame Charlotte party.
Thank you.
So.
I guess you're welcome.
Let's go on campus, shall we?
Hush lowly subject.
Naive.
I don't know, I don't know that you can actually do that with the title.
Well, I'm going to see if I can pull it off here in America.
Marco.
Marco.
But don't let it make you.
Naval dude.
Naval dude.
So Notre Dame Michigan, one of the rivalry games that I look forward to watching every
year, especially after I went there and saw a game, not that particular game, but it's
done.
Why?
Boo.
After 2014, this rivalry has been around since 1886, but they've only played 58 times, which
I think is weird.
Why are they doing away with this again?
Partially, this is going to be part of the whole real life, moving everything but football
to the big east.
Um, I disagree with it.
What does that mean?
They can't play them anymore.
If the rivalry means that much, I don't know.
I think it's a great rivalry game and it should be played every year.
Yes.
Yes.
Regardless of the reasons of why it's being done.
There's ways around that.
We have to beat them twice.
So we can send them away losers.
Says the loser.
Wow.
Go blue.
So there's that.
But at least he's sticking by his gun.
It's just we know.
What's this we stuff?
You're an island unto yourself.
So Nebraska has gets some very disturbing news this week.
Dr. Tom Osborne, who has been a fixture at the University of Nebraska since forever,
who has coached their football team to greatness, then he retired, became the AB.
He is stepping down from his athletic director position in January.
That's a little weird for me.
Did they say why?
Or is he just done?
Or is he, does he have an illness or something?
He's been around the block a few times.
I'm sure he's just tired.
Well, you just said you they got some disturbing news.
I thought like maybe he had retiring is this or not.
I thought he had like a really dire reason for needing to leave.
When something like that happens, like all of a sudden, maybe it's kind of like whoa.
Yeah.
What's going on?
Something about the dig up some stuff on them.
Well, yeah, we've gotten a little bit jaded with that kind of thing, haven't we?
Yeah.
No, not that I'm aware of.
I mean, the guy's still great.
Yeah, but we just kind of prepare ourselves for the worst because we've pretty much seen the worst in the last several months.
That's true.
I was like, oh, now what?
It comes the next wave of bad news and college sports.
It's not awful that you just automatically assume the worst.
Yeah.
Because that's what we do anyway.
But the precedent has been, I don't know.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
They kind of make you pessimistic about it.
Kind of hard to look at it from, you can't really look at the rose colored glasses anymore.
Let's go to the scoreboard.
Trying to multitask here.
Today's scoreboard.
Some of the scores you need to know.
Mizzou finally gets a win over the University of Central 4 to 21 to 16.
Jenna King told you that was going to happen.
Northwestern wins again in a 44 to 29 win over Indiana.
Brennan, are they for real?
Or is this a smoke?
I think it's a fluke.
They haven't won anything in a year.
I mean, granted home of the great Michael Wilbon and the great J.A. Adande.
I think he just, I think he got all ticked off about the Cam Newton thing.
Cam Newton.
I think he, Adande, I guess his nose all been under shape on, he has been yesterday about that.
A matchup of, you know, I'm going to come back to this one.
Because we had a matchup of two ranked teams today that got a little bit out of control.
The U gets a 44 to 37 win over NC State today.
So congratulations to them or the U Celeste, as I call them.
A and M shows Arkansas the door.
58 to 10 today.
Arkansas scored.
They were, they led 10 seven after the first quarter and never scored again.
I got to say this.
A&M has joined the SEC now and they're playing like an SEC team.
Well, they didn't in that first game against Florida.
Well, they, they, they, they, they, they gave for the game at first.
Yeah, the four is very good.
I'll be honest.
I just want to tell you.
But they think they made up for it today though.
They built a woodshed in Arkansas.
I'm just saying.
It's going to be all right.
Don't be all right.
I think they'll hold their own.
They'll see when they play Alabama.
That's the litmus today.
Everybody.
Oh, can we match up of two ranked teams today.
Ohio State and Michigan State.
Ohio State squeaks it out at the end when 17 to 16.
Clemson beats Boston College 45 to 31.
Navy loses 12.
Nothing to San Jose State.
Georgia over Tennessee sucks to have the under in a game that's 51 to 44.
Houston beats rice 35-14.
Getting their ways back.
North Texas wins.
What?
Way to go, me.
Over FAU.
Who?
Florida State beats my beloved South Florida Bulls 30 to 17.
And a game that started out very, very slow.
13 to 3 at the half.
Boise State with a win over New Mexico 32-29.
Games going on right now.
Chads, cousins, beloved Arkansas State down to Western Kentucky 17-13 in the fourth quarter.
Toledo in the third quarter up on Western Michigan 34-9.
Ula la.
Louisiana Lafayette up on FAU 41-14 in the third.
And as we all know, FAU is against it.
Couldn't get into Miami.
It's tech currently losing to Iowa State 13-7.
Two minutes to go in the third quarter there.
East Carolina down to U-TEP 10-7 in the second.
LSU struggling a little bit in the third quarter with Toaston.
Only up 17-9.
South Carolina up on Kentucky 21-17 in the third.
TCU leading SMU 21-10 as the second half gets underway.
Another one locked up in a tight one.
Texas at Oklahoma State.
Texas up 21-17 at the half.
UNLV trailing Utah State 17-7.
New Mexico State trailing UT San Antonio 21-7.
Nebraska losing to Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger right now.
20-10 in the third quarter.
Louisville also losing to Southern Miss right now.
Alabama, it is, well you know, we're 35 seconds into the game and it's still 0-0.
So Ole Miss still holding on right now.
Did you hear the story this week that Sabin said he hasn't played all of his starters yet this year?
Wow.
Yeah.
What are you waiting for?
National Championship game.
I guess he doesn't.
We don't need everybody in there.
You show me a team right now that can be Alabama and I'll tell you you're a liar.
They are that.
If they haven't played all their starters, that scares the crap out of me.
But that's crazy because they...
So many of their players went to the NFL in the first three, three, five picks or something.
Yeah.
All the defense and then they're still that good.
I'm, I just don't even want to play them.
I just don't.
And plus like I hate Nick Sabin, which doesn't make things any easier.
But as the old saying goes, real recognize is real.
They are that dog gone good.
And it's, it's just scary.
How good that team is.
And then Thursday night, of course, Washington beating Stanford.
Stanford getting a little bit exposed.
Goodbye to that number eight ranking.
And BYU.
Blanking Hawaii.
But again, beat Hawaii at home.
Playing Hawaii.
They just can't, they're not a good road team.
They're just not.
But I want to go back a little bit.
And talk about something that happened earlier today that we saw size.
We were getting ready to start the show.
And I, and both Brandon and I went,
I'm sorry, what?
As we go to West Virginia, ninth ranked West Virginia taking on 25th ranked
Baylor.
So we're going to go into this as West Virginia wins 70 to 63.
You heard me right.
70 to 63.
If you had the under on this game, you lost a lot of money.
It was 14, 14 after one.
Okay.
It was 35, 35 at the half.
West Virginia outscores him in the third quarter, 21 to seven.
Baylor outscores them, 21 to 14 in the fourth quarter.
Look at the passing yard, it's here.
I'm about to, we're about to talk about it.
Nick Florence, quarterback for Baylor, 30 to 48 for 582 yards,
five touchdowns and a pick.
He also had seven rushes for minus six yards and a touchdown.
Look at that.
He backed into the end zone.
Geno Smith from West Virginia, 45 of 51, 656 yards and eight.
God, that touchdowns.
This catch is unbulted.
Look at this.
Eight.
This is an audio medium.
Remember that.
I'm just telling you to look at it.
Eight.
It's on Sports Center right now for those either we're hearing this.
This is on the SPN news.
We're watching it.
His total yards were at 700.
656.
Let's go to team statistics.
Baylor, 38 first downs, West Virginia, 37.
Total yards.
Baylor had 698 yards total offense.
West Virginia, 800 and eight.
Video games dance.
With the, with the, with the teammate, I turn down to, duh.
Baylor, 11 of 16 on third down, West Virginia, 12 of 15.
Only one fourth down attempt in the game and it was by Baylor and they converted.
92 total plays by Baylor, 88 for Virginia.
Your average game per play, Baylor, 7.6, West Virginia, 9.2.
Was there a defense on the field at any point?
That's all I want to know.
I didn't look like it.
152 yards on the ground for West Virginia, 116 for Baylor.
30 of 48 by Baylor, 45 of 51 like we said for West Virginia.
Geez.
Baylor got sacked three times losing 20 yards.
So there was a defense at some point.
Both teams only punted twice.
I'm telling you, I'm only four points in all games.
When I was at home watching it, it was like, I mean, when you got a hundred and fuzz it.
There was a kickoff.
133 points scored the game.
There was a kickoff.
Two plays ran, touchdown.
Kickoff.
Two plays ran, touchdown like that.
Nine penalties in the whole game.
Four for Baylor for 35 yards.
Five for West Virginia for 65 yards.
The punny's in the hot dogs throughout the whole thing, basically.
Your top receivers for each team.
Top rushers for each team.
Jared Salubi for Baylor, 19 rushes for 72 yards in a touchdown.
Glasgow Martin had two touchdowns.
West Virginia.
Andrew Bowie, 25 rushes for 82 yards in two touchdowns.
Your top receivers.
Terrence Williams for Baylor, 17 receptions for 308.
314 yards.
West Virginia.
Tavon Austin was 14 for 15, but he's not the best one.
Stedman Bailey, 13 receptions for 303 yards and five touchdowns today.
Nope, nope, of course, no field goals.
But let's just do this.
Nick Florence, quarterback rating.
30, 48, 582 yards.
Three, five touchdowns and one pick.
Brandon, what's the quarterback rating?
Probably 97.
Chat.
That sounds about right.
194.6.
Geno Smith, 45 of 51, 655.
He only dropped six passes the whole day.
656 yards, 88.2% passing.
Where has Nick Florence was 62 and a half?
8 touchdowns, no picks.
Brandon.
202.
Chat.
I'll go with that.
Pass or rating of 248.
God.
I don't know how they.
That formula blows my mind.
I don't understand how it works.
I don't even bother guessing.
We saw that when we walked out.
I was like, are you kidding?
I just, that is, that is super human.
That is ridiculous.
Unbelievable.
Good day in college sports.
Yeah.
I love this time of year.
You picked it.
We picked a good weekend to be loved.
And it was a perfect day to watch football too.
Because it was raining outside.
Just lay on a couch all day.
Lay on a couch all day.
God.
Let us get into a little bit of movie talk
because we are your one stop shop for all things sports
and entertainment.
Done.
Remember, we don't give you last weekends box office
totals because those are old.
We give you last nights box office totals because
that's how we get down.
As soon as the internet catches up.
Here we go.
What's going on here?
Why is my site advisor not working?
The weather is just playing havoc with everything.
I guess my site advisor is not working.
Good.
Number 10 last night with $787,000 for a 15 day total
of $7.7 million for the Weinstein company released
The Master.
Allegedly the story of Scientology.
A dreads already out of the top 10.
I forgot that it even got released.
It hasn't even made $10 million.
No, the new one with Carl Urban.
It hasn't even made $10 million.
Oh boy.
It's about two weeks ago.
Nobody wanted to see this.
I will actually do.
Number 9 dropping eight slots this weekend.
Resident Evil Retribution.
$810,000 last night for a 15 day total of $36.5 million.
That franchise may be done.
This one looks kind of cool though.
It did, it really did.
But it may be done.
Number 8.
The Maggie Gyllenhaal vehicle won't back down.
Opening last night with $921,000.
Another million dollars for a 15 day total of $33.4 million
for your number 7 slot, the 3D release of Finding Nemo.
Wow.
So good on them.
Number 6 opening with $1.75 million last night.
This thing called pitch perfect.
Have you?
I'm so excited about it.
This is like Glemi's Heathers.
It's what it looks like to me.
I could be completely wrong on this.
But.
Outrage does.
No.
It's like the thing off.
And you know AMC is talking about bringing a Heathers show.
Heathers series to television.
And it's like Heathers the next generation yet because we need that.
Number 5 making $2.3 million last night for an 8 day total of just under $19 million
for trouble with the curve.
This will be a rental for me.
That looks good to me.
It looks good.
Number 4 making $2.3 million last night for an 8 day total of $17.4 million
for the Jennifer Lawrence Horror Vehicle House at the end of the street.
I know where the pitch perfect and trouble with the curve.
We're back to back in this day.
Worth.
Um.
But they are references.
I'm just saying.
Number 3.
Well, not really.
Well, the perfect pitch.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
I'm.
We're here for the Joseph Gordon Levitt, uh.
Bruce Willis Vehicle looper.
We have no desire to see this.
I want to see it.
I really like Joseph Gordon Levitt.
I just have no desire to see this.
There's a movie that came out last night that I'm interested in.
But I don't think I could sit through it.
I know it is not the number one.
Number one.
It making $0.11 million on Friday for the Adam Sandler Animated Vehicle Hotel
Transylvania.
I do have one.
This is this will be when I'll watch on HBO because you'll know what day Television I was on HBO
the sitter. Oh God. The DVR set. Uh-oh. With Jonah Hill. Yes. Yes.
I was like, wasn't that in theaters like last week? Pretty much. It came out
that's December, but still. I know compliance came out yesterday. I have no
desire to sit through that. I can't do it. I can't do it. To uncomfortable.
That's really awkward. You know, you don't know. It's based on the story. I don't
remember this from a couple years ago. A guy calls a fast food restaurant and
tells the manager that one of her employees has stolen. And so he acts like he's
like an investigator and he makes her do an entire body search, strip search in
the office with him on the phone. It's it's true. It's based on a true story.
And I remember when this story came out and it creeped me out then I don't know
if I could sit through a movie about it. It just it just has me intrigued
is just how the whole machine breaks down in this thing.
One of that taken to come out. This week goes in next week. You probably want
to wait on asking me that question. I'm just saying.
Just saying. It's okay. What he wants to be.
As we found out on this show two weeks ago.
This young lady will be singing the theme for the new James Bond film Skyfall.
Have you seen the cover for the single? No. It's pretty awesome. It's that it's the James Bond
gun barrel type logo. Right. Where she's super imposed in the shininess of the inside
of the gun barrel and blue and James Bond is standing in the in the circle.
The circle can't wait to hear it. Oh, like it. Apparently she's doing the whole soundtrack.
What? Yes. They're doing an album. My friend. Wow. That's kind of a unheard of.
It will be. It comes out in November, but you can see it a day early.
If you want to see it in iMacs and I do. I just want to see it.
I don't care how I see it. I know I should be able to go opening. Nice.
Shut your hole. Shut your shut your 30. I could.
But I won't because I won't see it without that guy.
Dark Knight rises news. That's my boy.
Hearts, rainbows, puppies and butterflies.
Dark Knight rises will be released on DVD and Blu-ray December the 4th.
It's funny. That comes out December the 4th.
That's Jay-Z's birthday. Is it the dark night?
Oh my gosh.
I just I'm. But see now they're saying they're going to release the trilogy as a little box set that you can get
in December, but then in the spring, they're going to release the ultimate collectors.
I'm not I'm all way to the big one comes out.
What?
Did you?
Ladies.
I'm waiting so that's the uber set come made.
I don't really care.
That's right. I said it not enough to it.
I'm going to wait until the uber set comes out in spring.
Yeah, because I'm not I'm not going to.
Well, you're not going to spend my money on that and I'm going to buy it again.
Well, you weren't just completely uber jazzed bath.
I'm still going to. Oh, it was going to be wrong.
It's still bad man at the end of the day.
Now it is dark night rises better than what we're fixing to watch after the show goes off the air.
That is I'm not ready.
I'm not ready to make that judgment yet because you've seen it.
I you've seen dark night returns part one. I have not.
We are going to be screening it.
After the show goes out the air tonight.
I'll tell you something about the adventures.
Can't wait. I won't be screened that to you.
Burned my biscuits.
It is Hunger Games casting news time.
We have rounded out the cast.
So we are ready to go for filming the Hunger Games catching fire.
And Charles, I don't know if you've noticed.
Yeah, he's been in Boston.
She's seen a lovely in town.
And Mrs. Irvin has it not?
Um, yes.
She now owns a necklace that has the mocking J logo.
The mocking jing pendant.
Yeah, she actually took the pendant off the deal and attached it to a little necklace that she was.
Oh, that's cool.
Oh, I don't feel so weird now.
That shouldn't be the only one for myself.
I've been wearing my print symbol for like the past 17 years.
I always get funny looks.
James Logan will be playing a role known as district five tribute boy.
I do not have anything listed for him on IMDB.
So let me see if I can just go to the movie and find this.
I don't see anybody's name on here.
I recognize some of them were actually clickable links on EW dot com.
I know the Sanchez girl sounds kind of familiar.
Uh, event the least Sanchez will be playing the role of the district five tribute girl.
Now the other one.
Yeah, Elena.
James Logan.
Here's a link.
A link for him.
Oh, he's an older cat.
He's from Dallas, Texas.
Already already supporting him.
He was in kill bill volume one.
He was in the mechanic.
He was in the expendables.
Uh, something of who he was.
He was on general hospital as Joey.
Wasn't everybody on general hospital.
He did an episode of Harry's law.
Really?
The character named Carl Hutchins.
Did a couple episodes of monk.
And the wife watches that.
Uh, did an episode of the ex files.
So there's that.
Kind of find some of these other people.
First event the least Sanchez.
She doesn't have a picture.
So.
This list.
This list may not be.
I that hunger games is her first deal.
Uh, Justin Hicks will be playing district six tribute boy.
He also doesn't have a picture up.
So Lord only knows who he's going to be.
This is his first for a.
We have a Megan Hayes.
She will be playing.
Oh, stop that.
She will be playing the district strict district six tribute girl.
She has a picture of.
So we'll see who she is.
Kind of a pretty girl.
It's like she played a smoking none in something.
Uh, she's in what to expect when expecting my wife.
Just watch that last weekend.
The smoking none.
You do just say that.
She's a picture of her and a nun.
I'll fit with a cigarette in her mouth.
She did an episode of Eastbound and down.
Which I love.
She did something called FARC TV.
So there's that.
Uh, we have Bobby Jordan playing a character named Blight.
What can you tell me about Blight, Charlotte?
He's just one of the older tributes.
I mean.
So there's a lot of this just more about people that have done this before.
Well, the second book is it's the 75th Hunger Games.
And so what they do is they take all the people who want and they put them in there.
This guy's known for doing a lot of stunt work.
For things like zombie land, the watch, we are Marshall.
I think I put up super psycho sweep 16.
Yeah, I think that's what Atlanta Sanchez is too.
We have John Casino.
What a great name.
Playing a character named Wolf.
Is he another one of those?
They're just, they're just, they're nothing.
They're mean.
He was an executive decision.
He was also in stupid boat movie.
These are just really insignificant roles.
Cannon fodder basically.
Elena Sanchez playing Cecilia, Daniel Bernhardt, Megan Green, Marion Green, Jackson, Spidell,
and Tiffany Waxler all being.
I mean, they're just called district 10.
What you're called district 9.
You don't.
What it means is that you die.
That's what it means.
These may as well say red shirt incense.
I was going to say they were red shirts.
Arnold Schwarzenegger says there has been no movement on the script for Terminator 5.
And I breathe a sigh of relief.
So as bad as the fourth one was.
Don does say now that you've got some time off.
Start watching Game of Thrones.
Thanks.
Yes, I went.
And Prometheus.
But interesting quote from the producer of the new Les Mis movie that's coming out.
Can you hear the people sing?
They said that this goes well.
This is going to happen.
A film version of Miss Saigon.
One of probably I've never seen it live.
I've owned the cast recording since college.
Because the first time I listened to it.
I'm not going to lie to you.
A grown man cried.
I'm good with this.
This goes to screen.
Does anybody remember who the original Miss Saigon was?
No.
You know, you know, this is singing.
The great Jonathan.
Jonathan Price.
Yeah.
Miss Saigon was young Miss Leah Salonga.
Mulan.
As she was.
She was the original Miss Saigon.
This is based on she got the gig from Mulan, right?
This is basically the story of an American soldier in Vietnam
who marries a girl that worked at a brothel that he falls in love with.
But he leaves her there when the war ends and then the second act comes
and she comes to America to find him and what happens.
It's a wonderful, wonderful musical.
Charlotte, have you ever listened to Miss Saigon?
No.
Brandon.
No.
I don't know why I asked.
Jonathan.
Can I know Tyler Perry, please?
I know.
He's going to be Al's cross here in a few weeks.
Yes.
I'm hoping that at some point I would love to see your research and
so if something like this theatrical releases of these.
Because I know we've gotten get Chicago kind of dipped its toe in the water
and it did well and then we heard kind of nothing for long.
Well, Chicago blew the door open and then rent very poorly underperformed.
Even with the original cast.
Yeah.
I thought that would have done really well.
Charlotte, a big fan.
Huge fan of rent.
I love rent.
And I've never seen it.
I've been dying.
Gosh.
I have it.
I love it.
Did you see that Jesse L. Martin joining the cast of Smash this year?
Yes.
I will be watching that.
Thank you.
Thank you for joining the Legion.
Because I personally would love to see them do a theatrical version of Wicked.
I think we're always off for that.
I think they're not done making money off it yet.
I think when you're looking at things like Les Mis and Miss Saigon,
they've kind of made their money.
So why not do a film version for the people that couldn't see it on Broadway?
Well, considering that we're about to get the wonderful Wizard of Oz.
That trailer looks awesome.
Next year.
I'm kind of excited about it.
I'm very excited.
Because I love the Wizard of Oz.
I want to do the Wiz again.
No.
No.
No.
Not now that he's gone.
Leave that alone.
Although his episode of Black Dynamite was pretty awesome.
I'm on board with this if they do it right.
And also congratulations to Stanley.
Had a surgery this week.
Had a pacemaker put in.
He'll be here in Dallas here in a few weeks for Dallas Comic Con.
Keep that man around for another couple of decades.
All the end of the beautiful and very talented Tara Strong.
You might know.
I don't know if the restraining orders up yet.
But y'all might know her as Batgirl from Batman.
She is also.
She's done so.
She's actually the voice of Hello Kitty in the original anime series.
The eighties.
Beautiful girl.
You can pretty much throw a rock and hit any animated series she was involved in.
Movie new releases this week.
Coming to a movie house near you next Friday.
Shut up.
Are you kidding me?
No.
I told you.
I told you about this next week.
That is next week.
We talked about this on the way.
Yeah.
I know.
I just had a job you used to have.
It didn't.
It didn't click that it was next week.
This coming Friday is the release of the newest Tim Burton animated series show.
Frankenweeney, which is based on a short film he did early on his career.
Basically about a kid who brings his dog back to life.
But a lot of theaters, if you go a little early, they'll do a double feature with the nightmare
before Christmas leading up to the midnight premiere Thursday night of Frankenweeney.
I still think it should be the corpse bride.
I think I want to say that when I went and saw the Avengers in 3D,
that this 3D trailer was on that.
And the trailer looks really cool.
It looks hysterical.
The aforementioned taken to.
Oh.
Comes out this coming Friday.
We're going to run sheet next time.
Yeah, that would help you.
That really would help you.
Eager beaver.
I don't know if I want to see this one.
Love the first one.
Absolutely love the first one.
Yeah.
The second one's just they take the mom instead.
That's all it is.
Yeah.
And it's got to be very hot, fam.
Good chance.
Mm-hmm.
I just don't know.
I'll have to hear some advanced word about that.
A movie right up Chad's alley.
Called VHS.
Have you seen the trailer for this?
Yes, I have.
Basically, this is five different horror stories in one film.
And the way they are all tied together, it's a group of kids that break into a house.
And they find this box of VHS tapes.
And as they start to play them, there's just all these horrific things
that they're bearing witness to on these VHS tapes.
And it's like, it's like the ring revisiting.
Creepy.
It looks really cool.
I have to see that.
Why would you keep watching them?
Because they don't know what it is.
Because if they didn't, there wouldn't be a movie.
They don't know that there's something ghastly tied to it.
It's just something that they stumble across.
And that's to be confused with something ghastly tied to it.
Because that would be good for you.
That would be a Taco Bell documentary.
But you like that?
Or another professor's sequel?
Where is this?
Then we have this other movie.
Oh, by the way, VHS currently 75% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Frankenweeney 78% taken to?
Nine.
What?
Nine.
Oh, boy.
Nine.
We'll be passing on that.
One of Doc's favorite words.
Oh, my God.
I killed it.
Nine.
Then we have this movie called Butta.
Coming up, 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Butta follows an ambitious woman played by the great Jennifer Garner,
who was married to Iowa's reigning butter sculpting champ,
played by Ty Verrell,
but decides to enter the race on her own when he retires.
She's the shoe in until an adopted young girl,
played by Yira Shahidi,
discovers that she has an uncanny talent for butter carving herself.
Jennifer's one.
Let's listen to this.
You've got Ty Verrell, Hugh Jackman, Olivia Wilde,
Alicia Silverstone, Ashley Green, and Jennifer Garner.
Now ask me again who greenlit this.
I'm interested.
Big butter Jesus.
Do you ever see what they've done at the state?
Well, I can't really say I've never been to the fair
because when I was working for Terminix Commercial,
they were one of my accounts.
So I actually had to go and service all the buildings there
and when they were setting up for them.
When they were setting up one of the craft buildings,
they have a room set up to do a butter sculpture.
And this guy had done it.
But the problem was one year they put it right next to the popcorn stand.
Everything broke loose.
This guy sculpted like a log cabin interior out of butter.
And I'm looking at them going, how do you clean this up?
This year, right next to the waffle cones.
So it's going to be a great year if it's going to stay there.
What do you do with it when it's done?
You make a butt load of popcorn.
They turn on women popcorn.
They turn on the heat fans and just watch it.
A lot of big potatoes involved.
It's awesome.
I saw them bringing in the bricks of butter
that this guy was going to do this with.
Wow.
And a bunch of cows that really gave all my milk up for that.
It would be so great.
It's just a cholesterol that goes up walking in there.
Bring a bunch of lobsters in and just get it done.
Oh, in!
And the movie called So Undercover.
I'm going to tell you what this is first.
And then I'm going to give you the cast.
And then I'm going to give you the cast.
When the FBI hires her to go undercover at a college sorority,
Molly Morris, I'm going to leave that there,
must transform herself from a tough street-wise private investigator.
I'm going to leave that there as well,
to a refined, sophisticated university girl to protect the daughter of a one-time mobster.
With several suspects on her list, Molly unexpectedly discovers
that not everyone is who they appear to be, including herself.
Didn't the Nick Cannon already do this movie?
Sounds to me like the Sandra Bullock movie did this movie twice
and called it this congeniality.
Michael Malley, Jeremy Piven, Kelly Osborne.
Yeah.
And in the title role of Molly Morris,
again, a tough street-wise private investigator.
Terry.
Miley Cyrus.
I didn't think it could get worse.
But it did.
Remember the reaction on the ticket when they would mention Angelina Jolie?
Yes.
No rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Negative 37.
Negative 99.
And finally this week in movie houses,
I don't know what, have you heard of this thing the paper boy?
Yeah, I don't know much about it, but I've heard rumblings about it.
It is a sexually and racially charged film noir
from Oscar nominated director Lee Daniels.
The guy that directed precious did this.
Oh dear.
Oh.
Okay.
The paper boy takes audiences deep into the back waters
of a steamy 1960s South Florida represent
as an investigative reporter played by Matthew Pagana.
Hey.
Oh.
Yes.
This TV is out for, I'll probably take my shirt off,
so I'm going to watch it now.
And his partner, Yardley Ackerman, played by a David,
I can't even say it's like saying,
hello, oh.
They chase a sensational career making story
with the help of Ward's younger brother played by Zach Efron
and a sultry death row groupie played by Nicole Kidman.
The pair tries to prove a violent swamp dweller
by the name of Hillary Van Wedder played by John Huesack
was framed for the murder of a corrupt local sheriff
based on a best selling novel by Pete Dexter.
I mean, this thing's been getting all kinds of critical acclaim.
It's only 60% of Rotten Tomatoes
but people that have screened this have said good things about it.
So there's that.
Like I heard that the Efron and the Kidman kind of get
brown chicken brown camp.
Yeah, exactly.
Gross.
Yeah, I know.
Gross.
New DVD and Blu-ray new releases this Tuesday.
I'm so excited.
You have a Blu-ray player, right, Yardley?
Yeah, we have a PS3.
Okay, you might want to go about Best Buy quickly.
I don't know.
I think she's a look into the uber set on this.
There's an uber set.
For this?
I showed it to you.
I saw the diamond steal.
No, no, no, no, sir.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Can't believe you forgot it.
Dude, I've slept since then.
We've had a really, really wild couple of weeks up there.
Amazing.
I'm just always so like, should I buy one?
Should I buy two?
When will they re-release it again?
What if I lose the first one?
Don't make the same mistake idea, because I'm still trying to track it.
The diamond edition of Cinderella from Disney comes out this coming week.
Charlotte, I want you to see what the uber set looks like.
Okay.
$60 if you pre-order it on Amazon.
Okay, I'll talk to you later.
It is a six disc Blu-ray DVD digital copy combo that comes in a jewelry box, basically.
But it's got the director video sequels in there with it.
It's got all of them together.
But it's still pretty awesome looking.
Also, the Tim Burton failure with Johnny Depp known as Dark Shadows.
Universal Classic Monsters, the essential collection.
I cannot be any more in.
Six movies.
I cannot be any more in.
From the year old in days.
Is it actually called the uber collection?
No, it's called the Cinderella trilogy with limited edition collectible jewelry box packaging.
It also comes with a book.
So yeah, this thing's pretty hardcore.
And for $60 on pre-order, that's actually not a lot lower than I thought.
You're out when you say what?
It's a book.
She said when he said it came with a book.
I said book.
He was done.
Nice.
Come with crayons.
I'm just wondering.
Is it a picture book?
Is there bases and stuff in it?
Because if there is, I'm good.
I'm just saying.
I'm not making a word, Janet.
Why'd you give me a movie with a book?
Does it come with somebody to read me the book?
Because I don't read so good.
Also on DVD and Blu-ray this coming Tuesday, the movie red lights.
This is when we talked about a few weeks ago.
Psychologist Margaret Matheson and her assistant studies paranormal activity,
which leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic who has resurfaced years after his topic critic mysteriously passed away.
This is Robert De Niro, Elizabeth Olson,
Silly and Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, Jolly Richardson, Craig Roberts is in this.
It could go either way.
You know what I mean?
Let's see.
Also, Iron Sky comes out.
We thought it was a couple of weeks ago, but that was the Region 2 version.
Oh, this is your...
This is your...
Yeah, buddy of mine posted a screening for this a couple of months ago.
This basically takes Sarah Palin if she was played by Susan Sarandon
with the Southern accent fighting space Nazis.
I'm in.
So I'm hoping...
Yeah, I'm sure Doc's probably watched it by now and he'll give us a complete...
And this is literally...
This is Susan Sarandon.
No, it's somebody looks just like...
Oh, okay.
That's about to say.
So I talked to my ex...
My old supervisor about the screening he hosted.
He said it sold out.
Good.
So congratulations to him.
Good job, Mr. Jim Bragle.
They said a guy showed up in full Nazi regalia.
Too tall.
Awkward.
He said it went over like Gamebusters with the crowd, because he got it,
because that's something in partial movies about Nazis.
But he goes...
He goes...
He goes...
Nothing shocks me.
And he did...
Did Doc get his uniform back?
Uh...
How do we know it wasn't him?
That's what I'm saying.
Aww.
Doc's doing appearances now.
He said, yeah, he...
He showed up...
He showed up in a vehicle with an apple sticker on the back.
He said, what costume?
I got 19 of these in my closet.
I call this Wednesday.
Another Elizabeth Olsen vehicle,
peace, love, and misunderstanding.
It's your DVD and blue ratio.
It's getting work.
Also with the...
It's about an uptight New York City lawyer who takes her two teenagers to her hippie mother's farmhouse.
We're an upstate for a family vacation.
Jane Fondre, Catherine Keener.
All certain this thing.
Can't wait not to see that.
Yeah, that'll be, uh...
Not on my...
We were on this, my wife,
friends it from Netflix or something.
How will it avoid it?
Like the plague on Netflix.
So let's get into when we combine both sports and entertainment.
It's time for wrestling talk.
Don't get used to hearing this song.
I was like, you might want to play the sound of a ripping needle across our record.
Kelly Kelly has asked for and received her release from WWE.
She wants to pursue acting and modeling.
She has even changed her Twitter handle already.
To her real name.
To her real name.
To her real name.
Barbara Blank is her real name.
Go back.
Go back to Kelly Kelly.
I don't think she can.
I think WWE owns the name.
Well then just change it to something else.
That's a terrible name.
Christy Christy.
Yeah.
Call herself Barbara Barbara.
So her original wrestling name was Barbie Blank.
So there's that.
Lawler apparently returned to commentary last night at a local Memphis wrestling house show.
No surprise there.
It was a Memphis house show.
Well he was supposed to wrestle on the show.
But since he couldn't, I mean, but that man.
Take a week off bro.
He did.
That was enough for him apparently.
Bless his soul.
There were rumors that last month.
WWE was supposed to release a DVD set about the attitude era.
And it had been moved.
And a lot of people were saying that due to the whole endemic man Senate run.
That it was canceled because of that.
And they went no, no, no, no, we just delayed it.
But we're going to put it out in November.
Yeah.
Which is when the elections are.
She ruins everything.
Yes, she does.
I'm sick.
I'm so boy.
That's a different show.
And in case your social media ambassador.
Bit hasn't worn out enough for you.
This Monday, your social media advance.
Ambassador will be like.
WWE ring.
Hello.
Larry King.
It's going to be the social media ambassador.
For the WWE.
Because when I thank WWE.
A guy that apparently at one time wrestled for the championship against Abraham Lincoln.
I think I think you mean Abraham.
Abraham.
Abraham.
Father.
And he says.
There you go.
And he says.
Father.
Abraham.
I'm one of them.
And so are you.
So let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Right leg.
Head up.
Head down.
Turn around.
Okay.
What did I just do?
I pulled the pin on the holy hand grenade.
Literally.
Oh, I thought I was the only one that was going to know that reference.
And that just made it so much better.
I remember kids saying that the talent show contest in elementary school.
Oh.
And I remember everybody looking at him like.
Jesus free.
You know.
If that is not.
If that is not a best of moments.
I'm blacking out.
That's what I got.
I just got his head right.
Oh.
I'm so glad to be back on the show.
You said the talent show.
It's not funny.
It was a church talent show.
No, it was your school.
Florence black elementary.
I'm like.
And everybody.
I mean, you can hear a fly flutter across the world.
The Bible belt, baby.
We're going to like.
This is a talent.
And he's doing a whole lot.
Let's get to raw, shall we?
So I won't mention what.
Well, actually, I will mention what won the show was a bunch of kids doing the hokey
Pokey.
So if that tells you where the bar was said.
Okay.
So I was shocked to realize that the punk AJ proposal was only two months ago.
No, kidding.
I was like, that was only two months ago.
I was very shocked by that.
I felt like that felt like last year.
I thought the whole Heyman proposing to her thing was kind of cheap.
Yes.
But I mean, I understand you're a heel, dude, but really.
And apparently, I also learned this week that apparently in 2012, Chris Angel is the magician of the century.
What?
Oh, he's only been it for 12 years, so.
But still, how can you say that's only 12%.
I really can't name any practicing magicians.
I can't even freaking tell her.
They were the magicians of probably the last century.
They're better in him anyway.
But I feel that's a little too early to call.
Yeah.
What about the amazing Jonathan?
Who?
Oh, quick correction.
Don said that Laura did commentary in an event in South Haven, Mississippi.
It was not in Memphis.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
My mistake.
Thank you, sir.
But any magician is better than David Blaine.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I kind of dug him for a while, but that bit got.
I just keep on looking and go, hey, seeing that you're a beautiful song.
Oh, wow.
Wow.
Oh, wow.
Oh, wow.
Remember the guy that used to wear the mask and reveal all the magician's tricks?
Oh, yeah.
No, it's worse bit.
That one or the guy that wore the mask that was revealing all the professional recipe.
Yeah.
And every, every time he does something, they ever go.
And the audience is fooled again.
We haven't been fooled in 40 years.
The only people you're fooling is it's real to me, dammit.
That's it.
And there's five of them.
No.
It's like you're feeling, you're, you're fooling that guy and honey booboo.
That's it.
That's the list.
I'm like, what are you going to do?
It's like that.
God.
Honey, booboo is the bar.
Shit.
Adala, mate.
Adala.
Are you going to tell me that that is not the, it's real to me, dammit family.
No, I'm not debating you there.
Did you guys hear the bit about them this past week?
No.
That they went to TLC to fight for more money.
You know how much buddy they got paid per episode, the whole family.
Got per episode in season one.
Seven grand.
Oh.
They won't pay for their trailer, don't hate.
But you know what, but you know what they wanted.
Ten grand.
They want a pretty grand in episode.
I'm like, can you at least shop around for the going, right?
And TLC said, I'll tell you what.
We'll double your pay.
Wow, that's almost followed by a mute button pushing.
I'm going to take it.
But you know what's sad?
The reason they're asking for the raise.
Remember this?
Because they won't.
Didn't they want a bigger trailer?
No, one of the guys, one of the adults on this show.
The father.
Was it the father?
I got it to a bull.
You got a four-click job?
No, he was driving a four wheeler and he rolled it.
And like messed up his leg and they might have to,
he got an infection in the leg because that will happen
when you live in a gang-green infested swamp.
And, uh.
Oh, yeah, the magician's Don says sick-free drawing.
I think only one of them's works.
Stop sick-ah!
Stop sick-ah!
But that, that, honey, who mentioned that is why the rest of the world hates us.
Right there alone.
Oh my god.
I will tell you to start the car.
I think later.
You should, you should see.
Oh, that's one of the episodes of The Soup You Missed.
Was they cut to a honey booboo clip where her mom's making a lemonade
with two gallons of lemon juice and seven pounds of sugar.
Oh, that's syrup.
She said, and we want her-
What's the molasses in there?
And we want her by a honey booboo who has no taste.
Which he smiles, it looks like Walter Brennan for God's sakes.
And this is broken rate.
And by the well, by the way.
By the well?
By the way, that's on the learning.
Yes, just so we're all on the same page here.
And maybe you can answer me this question, Brennan.
We're getting way off topic here.
Yeah, we are.
But why is-
Why is Beckwood's billionaires and redneck rehab running ads on 94.5K soul?
We're not going to watch that.
CFT is running ads on a urban contemporary station.
Wrap your head around that, folks.
Oh, my gosh.
If I hear one on K-104, I'm going to lose it.
You're just mine.
The longest episode title ever.
Because now it's an episode is now called Dame Old Lady Sarla Parker,
Father Abraham in honey booboo.
Let's go and say, look, we can only do so many letters here, sir.
Can I mention I'm really glad to be back in this year.
Can we try to get this thing back up here?
Yeah, we can try.
Because we're only at the two-hour, 12-minute mark right now.
Is Mick Foley really a special guest anymore?
No.
No.
Special guest on Raw.
I'm thinking, hey, we're going to bring, you know, somebody-
Oh, it's Mick.
Hi, Mick.
But when he got on-
But say, you like that promo.
It didn't do much for me.
Oh, man.
It was-
I don't know.
I like Mick.
Don't get me wrong.
Huge Mick Foley fan.
I always have been.
I always will.
That just didn't do much.
When he got heated and talked about you're going to be a legend or you're going to be a statistic.
I was just like, he got, like, hot under his sports collar.
And I'm one that can- can read lips in a lot of cases.
Did Ryback tell Miz he was going to be swimming with the dolphins?
I was very confused by that.
I was like, swimming with the-
I don't know.
The Doss of Beans.
You have the Doss of Beans?
Where's Mikey when you need him?
I just, I was very confused by that.
I think he got thrown off whenever those two fans storm the ring.
And when we cut to Cain and Daniel Bryan and we're doing the one Harry met Sally Bitt.
I was like, really, until we got to the punchline.
That was funny and well-
Because I'm like, okay, so who's going to do the line?
Oh, me, young, you know what?
Of course.
Now.
I'm good now.
Did you know- did you watch this, Brandon?
No, I missed it.
And my question was, did Daniel Bryan really take a bite out of the meatball?
Until I found out he has officially given up being a vegan.
Okay.
Because it was affecting his health.
He thought when he first became a vegan, he felt a lot better.
But as time went on, he would get to feel worse again because you're missing certain nutrients
as a vegan that your body has to have.
And he has taken all kinds of crap from Peter.
I mean, all kinds.
He had that Ron White syndrome.
Because I'm feverish and I have a headache that-
That motto had beef broth in it.
You're a mainly man, aren't you?
Your system's kicking back.
Broff?
And can we please stop burning an entire segment just for ringing troves?
No kidding.
My god.
So we're all here, but we're going to start the match after the break.
Oh, so this has been the last seven minutes of my life?
Yeah.
And so I guess now Alicia Foxes face again?
What are we doing with her?
Nothing.
I'm very confused.
If Kelly Kelly's bailed, there's rumors swirling left and right about Beth Fenix getting
out of this.
At the end of the month, we talked about it last week on the show, yeah?
And can you blame any of these deepest rennetment?
What the heck am I doing here?
And TNA can't figure their stuff out either, no?
And then we find out that the ending of the show with-
The stare down with punk and ryback did not even air in the arena.
Yeah.
That's why you heard no crowd reaction whenever it happened.
And so the question came up this week, what are we leading up to?
And creative's response?
We don't know.
We just threw them out there and we thought we'd see what the reaction was.
We'd see maybe if it was something we could do.
But why would they do that if they weren't going to show the crowd?
Exactly.
But I don't think it was intended that way.
I think somebody just forgot to hit a button is what happened.
So they meant to show the crowd and they just didn't-
No, they didn't show on the Titan Tron.
Right.
But they meant to do that-
I'm sure they meant to show it.
I just think they forgot to, but I was just kind of like-
I really don't care.
But they did it for a reaction and they had nobody to show it to-
Get a freaking reaction!
Right.
Ryzen Arena like, okay, I guess we'll go home.
Good night, everybody.
I think there was-
Is there a dark match?
Yeah, we got good.
They were setting up for the dark match afterwards and they're like, oh, but as far as I knew nothing was happening.
They're like, wow, y'all are brilliant.
Created.
Created.
W to be creative.
We move on.
Material intelligence.
And we move on to a little bit of impact talk.
TNA has changed their policy when it comes to their talent wrestling on indie shows.
It used to be, you could just go wrestle on the indie show, but make sure you understand you're still under time.
That's blah, blah, blah.
Now they're saying their talent cannot wrestle on indie shows if there's a planned DVD release of that event.
You need to let your people go wherever the heck they want to do and whatever the heck they want to do.
So they can promote your products, sir.
And I'm saying to here in Hogan, say, well, you know, we should we could have kept Devon.
You could have made that happen.
Stop telling people you couldn't.
You help run the company.
Quit it.
So he's done?
Devon's gone.
I didn't know that.
They vacated the TV title.
God.
Which we're going to talk about here in a minute.
But apparently, Jillian Hall wrestled a dark match at the impact.
Which by the way, impact will be alive at least for the rest of 2012.
They have extended the run on that.
But it's kind of nice to not know what happens two weeks before theirs.
You know, but she wrestled Tara in a dark match.
So Tara actually worked twice that night.
So good on her.
They said that she's not in her contract.
She does live nearby.
So don't look into this.
They got to do some of the beef at that knockoff division back up.
And Jillian Hall, I didn't mind her as a person.
I just didn't like the bitch.
She was one of the stupid character.
Because we were making fun of Hogan's kid.
All the all the strange reason to book her a TV.
Hogan, though, wasn't it?
But her fault.
Yeah, but still.
How awkward was that meeting backstage?
Oh, hi, Brooke.
Oh, I'm sure that's been addressed.
There's no doubt in my mind that's been addressed.
And Andy Levine, winner of tough enough was also.
Silent rage.
He was backstage.
He was backstage.
He's currently working.
He's currently working at a wrestling promotion in Puerto Rico.
So he is working.
He is working.
Let's talk about more Mr. Anderson, please.
More Mr. Anderson.
You are such a fan of that.
Hogan, Hogan had a deal.
Because you know how they're doing this bit where they put poor guys
in a room.
They eliminate them one by one.
So the final two gets a rest.
I don't support the TV title.
He gets to Mr. Anderson.
And Mr. Anderson just looks at Hogan and goes,
I just want to fight somebody.
I don't care.
And you know, have you seen his newest shirt
where the entire front of it's the microphone?
No.
It's just that microphone that he uses is the entire front of the shirt.
I want it.
But it only looks right on him.
When I went, when I was at Slam Aversary,
with Coronado, Coronado and I went with Barbar.
And he's a huge Anderson.
Oh, huge Anderson.
I saw other people wearing that shirt and it didn't look right.
It's the oddest thing.
Does it just, is it just a microphone?
Or does it have his name on it?
No, it's just a microphone.
On the back, it says the pro wrestling is real people are fake.
I want that shirt.
I don't care if it looks right on me or not.
I want that shirt.
So he wrestles Slam Ajo for the TV title,
which we'll talk about here in just a moment.
I have now found out the most epically awesome tag team.
If we could pull this off, I've discovered
what could be the greatest tag team of all time.
Because I'd forgotten how much of a fan of Eric Young that I am.
Because it's ODB wrestles terror, right?
This is good.
This is good.
Eric Young, one of the things I love about him.
First of all, he's got this huge beard now.
Whenever he gets to the ring,
he always locks up with the referee,
which is always funny to me.
But in this case, the referee was female,
which made it even awesome.
But at one point, ODB is giving the Bronco Buster to Tara.
And the cameras are close up on that.
Pull the camera back.
Because Eric Young and ODB are married on the show.
Pull the camera back.
Eric Young is sitting in the same position
in another turnbuckle waiting for her
to do the same thing to him.
And then later on in the match,
Tara falls outside the ring right in front of him
and she grabs his pant leg or something
and ODB comes over at Eric Young in full range
of the microphone for the camera.
Throws his hands up in the air and says,
my pants are still on.
He's got his jeans.
So I have now discovered who we need to put him in a tag team.
Because he looks like a lumberjack now.
We need to put him in a tag team with Daniel Bryan.
The two most epic beers and the beers in the business together.
I think it would be insane with insane,
two different kinds of insane.
I think this could be the greatest tag team of all time.
Eric Young is one of my new favorite roles.
He's just he's playing this and he has his own fishing show now.
I want to say it's on like
CMT or something.
He has his own fishing show.
And I don't know if he carries the bit over to it or not
because I have no idea where it is or what it's on.
But that bassin with the beer
that character is genius.
I normally don't like because
I normally don't like that kind of a bit.
But he does it so.
At one point he jumped up on the apron and has to be tagged in
because there's still the knockouts tag champs
and haven't defended the belts in April.
So I don't know what's going on.
But it's so great.
Oh, my pants still on.
So Samoa Joe wrestles against Kennedy for the TV belt.
Wins by submission.
And they give him the belt.
And I notice the belt is not red.
And he's clutching the belt to himself.
So I'm like, oh, maybe we've got a new TV belt.
We're going to unveil.
And so I finally get a camera shot of it.
It's the old TNA Heavyweight Championship
before we did the Mardi Gras belt.
So to Devon take the TV belt with him
and not just not get it back to him.
Maybe so.
But I like that belt.
And I always think of that as the Samoa Joe belt
because I always remember him carrying that version
of the TNA Heavyweight Championship.
That belt.
And I wanted to keep it that way.
But it was just, I just remember going,
uh, that ain't the TV belt, Homer.
Because I really didn't like,
because they turned the legends belt into the TV belt
and I didn't really like that.
And is it just, I don't know if you guys have seen Al Snowly
because he's cut his hair kind of short now.
He is looking more and more like Dave Grohl every week.
Yeah.
I don't know what it is.
Because he's got the Van Dyke thing going now.
I don't know what's going on there.
And his ace is an eighths thing.
So now what we're going to do.
Yeah.
Joel says goat face facing the beard, man.
Um.
So now what we're going to do at Bound for Glory.
Is it's going to be two of aces and eighths best guys,
versus two and two of TNAs best guys.
There's a pit in my stomach right now.
What do you think?
I think we're, I just, I don't want this to turn into
another Hogan turns and now he's leading aces and eighths.
I know you've never heard me say this in my life.
And I may never say it again.
So listen closely.
Because the rumors are, the rumors already out there
of who the leader of this thing is.
I am praying to the god of all things good and holy that it's Jared.
Geez.
Because I don't want it to be Hogan.
I don't want to go through this again.
We've talked about that since before I went on my hideous from the show.
I just, it concerns me that we're going to do this Hogan bit again.
Don't do this.
Don't do this.
I beg you.
Because sting's going to be one of the guys because they don't let,
they said we don't want you being one of the guys Hogan.
We want you to watch this happen.
Hogan can't go anyway.
So sting's going to be one of the guys.
I haven't named to the other one yet.
Oh god.
I know.
I'm very, very worried about this.
Well, no in two weeks.
Let's talk about Smackdown.
Shall we?
Sarah Del Rey, who we know was signed.
Great women's wrestler has now been put in charge of development in NXT,
which is a great thing because she's a great technical wrestler.
I think she's really good for that.
Also, Shal Guerrero, the daughter of Eddie and Vicki Guerrero has been released,
has asked for her release and gotten it.
Wow.
That's not working real well.
But I don't know.
Am I the only one that's watching Smackdown at this point?
Yep.
Watch it.
You're opening one of your early bouts is a diva's bout.
Natalya and Beth Fenix.
About time.
Great match.
Really?
Yes.
Awesome match.
You give me five matches like that from a diva's division.
You'll get the lead back.
Wow.
And then, of course, with this Beth Fenix thing, since on Raw Monday night,
Caitlin said she saw the footage and the attacker was blonde.
Eve has now indefinitely suspended Beth Fenix.
So we only know what happens there.
I've also decided to wait, Barrett.
He needs to wrestle in the get up of an old-timey English factory worker.
That needs to be his bit.
With the leather suspenders and the knickers.
Dress like a...
Silas now back.
Awkward turtle.
Dress.
Dress like a regal used to dress, but as he's a man.
No, because that was where he dressed like a modern construction worker.
That worked in Oregon.
I'm talking like an old-timey, like looking like he's wearing long johns
with like a thin strap leather suspenders and the knickers and the boots.
So basically, just dress like a strong man.
In other words, yeah.
The handlebar.
The handlebar.
Yes.
Shave his head.
And he has to carry those barbells.
And maybe sometimes wear the tarzane thing.
I'm in.
We should be in WWE Creative.
Give me the book.
Open checkbook.
Basically look like Tom Hardy in Bronson.
And then during the shames bits.
Because he was on Ms. TV.
And as they were going to break, by the way, whoever was doing makeup for WWE.
They screwed up Josh Matthews.
Bad.
Like it was bad.
But...
I think I kicked off a fight.
Michael Cole said Shamest loves the fight.
Can Finley sue for gimmick and frame?
I think he can.
I'm just wondering.
I think he should.
But then he'll be batting the hand to feet.
Well, the Shamest using that?
No, Michael Cole said that.
Oh.
And I was like, no, that's Finley's bit.
I'm just saying.
Let's talk just a little bit about Tech Corner.
Chad, I thought you'd like this one story we have in Tech Corner.
Already got it reserved.
Lego Lord of the Rings.
Coming to a console near you in November.
One plastic ring to roll them all.
I've cut it.
I haven't reserved for my beloved 3DS.
I don't know.
I'm kind of intrigued by this.
You've played a few games in the Lego series.
I have.
I have.
Very much enjoyed it.
And they've always been really mumbly with the dialogue.
Not this time.
Really?
They've got actual dialogue from the films.
Nice.
It looks really, really, really cool.
You shall not pass!
Then the Lego shatter.
Yeah.
The trailer on YouTube looks pretty good.
But it's full voice.
I mean, it's the original voice guys.
They just lifted it right out of the film.
Also, have y'all discussed the Wii U phenomenon?
Since I've been...
We did last week on the show how the 32-gig model has sold out.
Now the other one has as well.
Really?
Yeah, the 8-gig and the 32-gig are...
All those pre-orders are sold through already.
And in other news, NBA Live, 13.
Gone?
Canceled.
Really?
Yeah, I can't compete with...
No.
Okay.
What was...
What were they going to call it last year?
It wasn't NBA Live.
It was something else.
They...
They killed that one day.
NBA In vivo?
So...
And we...
So...
So EA...
EA has pretty much given up on their NBA franchise.
Because...
But what about...
Oh!
Two K is just handing them their head when it comes to the NBA series.
The NBA 2K series is...
One of the best sports franchises around.
If not the best sports franchise around around around around.
It's out maddening maddening.
Boom!
There you go.
Here's a guy whose video game is probably going out of style.
They looked just so amazing though.
The...
The technology's come so far.
It just seems like...
From running up the screen.
Like, number 13 was definitely an unlucky number for EA on this one.
Because they could not bring it back around.
Streetlights on!
Yes, sir.
Since Chad's back, Chad gets to do the list because I've been doing the list for a month.
So I'm gonna hand this to you.
Alright.
Now that I've got the music queued up, go ahead and explain your list, sir.
This...
This kind of spawned out of a conversation that I was having with the...
Lovely Mrs. Womack.
Who's up British to send?
Who's up British to send?
Ten musicians that if we could somehow bring them back from the great beyond.
Hey, you used a hologram.
Yes.
But they went bankrupt.
Yes, they did.
One of the companies.
There was multiple companies.
And it was a company that did the effects work from Titanic a long ago.
Stupid film movie.
I like that movie.
Anyway, it was really hard to come up with just 10 to tell you the truth.
There's other names kept popping up on my...
Ouch.
At first, at first you're like, help me help me.
At first we were struggling.
The blood gates opened.
Oh geez, I'm going to have to pair the list down now.
So this is my top 10.
I don't know how it would fit.
I really don't know how I can really put these in any kind of order.
Except for me for the top 3.
But here we go.
Here we go.
Number 10.
The Great Jim Morrison.
I mean, the man was cut short way to...
I mean, granted, he kind of did it all to himself.
But...
A poet.
Way ahead of his time.
My problem with him is there was so...
To me, a lot of what he did was just simple shock value.
I'm not really talking about what he did on stage.
I'm just talking about how he wrote.
Because he really didn't have a lot of shock value in his lyrics.
Not a lot.
But I'm also not that...
And this may be sacrilege, but I'm just not a huge door fan.
I really...
I like this song.
To me, the end is the quintessential door song for me.
Wait, two songs.
It takes too long.
But one of my favorite moments, though, is...
If you listen, it was one of their live tracks.
The camera, which one it is.
And he's talking about...
So I was reading about my...
Oh, a scope here of the day.
And then you can hear some girl and cry,
going, yeah, read mine every day.
And he's like, I think it's total BS.
And she goes, I hate him too.
Same girl, same voice.
That was pretty quick on her part.
Oh, strike that, reverse it.
Y'all have any input at all on this?
I don't know how y'all felt about it.
Because I really didn't...
I really didn't start listening to the doors
until the biopic came out in 91.
That's the first time I went out and got the soundtrack.
And I'm like, man, this stuff is really good.
Well, I mean, you know, we had that conversation,
one night on the show, like, if the band was to do like a...
You know, a reunion tour.
Probably not going to happen, but if there were,
which one would you go see?
Doors would probably be on my list.
Yeah, I would want to see them.
Yeah.
So...
Absolutely.
Number nine, ready whenever you are Rob?
Again, it was really hard to put a placement on this list, but...
Do I really need to explain this?
Only if you made him die earlier and then come back.
After the 68 comeback special, maybe?
Just like Dennis Larry said, you know how you remember how.
Yeah.
I want my lasting memory to be the 68 comeback special Elvis,
when he was still just whooping tape.
His episode of Black Dynamite.
Funny.
I never got it.
You need to say that you're special.
That's funny.
It's ridiculously stupidly good.
I actually watched the real movie finally.
Yeah, you had my favorite line of...
Socastically, I'm the leader.
Still my favorite line of film.
It's like you read the stage directions.
Okay.
What are your thoughts?
Again, I'll never deny what Elvis did.
And living in the South, this is probably a really bad thing to say,
but I was never a big Elvis guy.
Really?
There's more Beatles guys than Elvis guy.
Remember what they said?
And they deleted you from Pulp Fiction.
You're either an Elvis guy or a Beatles guy.
I guess I'm an Elvis girl.
Because I can...
This y'all are all gonna be pissed.
I can do without the Beatles.
Not impressed by them at all.
But that's your opinion.
I'm not gonna be mad.
I can't be mad at you for that.
There's other things I can be mad at you.
But not that.
True.
I like that.
I can listen to Blue Sway Choose on an endless loop.
I love that song.
I can listen to Teddy Bear every day.
My dad used to sing that song to me.
Mother FM and John Wayne.
Number eight.
Why do they always sing like that?
You're pulling back a curtain every time that.
What do you need to happen?
I don't know.
I wonder what Flo Dean is doing.
How many bubble bass were drawn while this played in the background?
Girl.
Who was it?
Ralph Harris said about this.
I like to play very white music when it's that intimate moment.
Because she gets so engrossing that she doesn't realize I finished a while ago.
He's one of those guys where I think you had a really good line.
I don't know if you made it up or if you heard somebody say it.
Where you said if you put this man's music on and you didn't get none,
you weren't going to get any of it.
Oh, that's an original thing.
That's an original thing.
That's an original thing.
Yeah.
It actually the first time I ever used it used that line was about silks freak me.
If you're on a date and that song plays and you're right there on the edge where you might,
you might get a little something and you might not and you don't you never had a chance.
Yeah.
If this didn't push it over the edge.
This this this this man made a career out of doing stuff like that.
The great very white.
A lot like this version of basketball Jones.
The version of basketball Jones with Chris Rock is absolute genius.
I just love whenever he did this with Lisa Stan's feeling.
I thought she sang about herself.
I don't have a version of the two of them.
They did.
I know.
What is this again?
I'm never going to give you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She covered it.
I never heard him sing it.
Yes.
It's on YouTube.
They're singing it together.
You know I love her version.
Oh gosh.
Hello nurse.
Especially in that video.
Actually, you know what it was.
I'll figure it out later.
Anyway.
Okay.
By moving on.
Yes.
Speaking of.
Always on this video.
And Marvin just said.
I think like he was about to hurt himself.
I know.
He's hurt a lot of people.
See.
Mill Barney never hurt nobody.
Added some family members in a few cases.
But Marvin Gaye never hurt nobody.
Anybody have a favorite song is it?
Or is this pretty much the de facto one?
Um.
Name.
Name.
Because I.
Mine's a no brainer.
Instant.
I don't even have to think about it.
Intercity blues is by far my favorite carpet gay song.
Either this song.
Um.
Sexual healing.
What's going on?
Pretty way.
And I love all three of those songs.
But intercity blues gets my vote every time.
I get goosebumps every time I hear that song.
As far as the social commentary that what's going on made.
To me.
Intercity blues goes even deeper.
And some of his duets stuff with the Tamae trails.
Oh, yes.
I was about to say I'm a big fan of the Marvin Gaye duet.
Yeah.
And he know mountain high enough era.
The VH1 Legends documentary about him is amazing.
You ever heard the remake of the duet that, uh.
DeAngelo and Erica Badu did for his tribute album?
Oh, yeah.
Good Lord.
Are you ready?
Yeah.
Uh.
Yes, sir.
I should have pulled him out of that.
Do you ever hear the story about James Brown about how he was able to avoid sexual harassment suits for so many years?
No.
Whenever he would be intimate with a lady.
He would always make sure a Polaroid was taken up him with her sans clothes and smiling for the camera.
That is the definition of a damn.
That's how we avoided the losses because they couldn't say they were forced to be there against their will.
I can't understand what he's saying, but I'm going to try to figure it out.
He's like Eddie.
I don't want to.
In hot tub.
When a great start in Alaska just ever said night in the hot tub, Dr. Joyce Brothers.
What?
I'm getting hot tub.
I'm going to get wet.
I'm getting hot tub.
I'm going to get wet.
Yeah.
Well, well, well.
It looks like a bedroom from Scarface.
It's just pretty much hot.
He grabs the microphone.
All right.
Number two.
Number five.
I had to find one that I could actually play because the next one even could get a little dicey.
This song makes me think of white people in a club.
Wow.
Yeah.
It's just like that Montel Jordan song, you know.
It makes me think of Mad Max beyond the thunder pills.
Yeah.
Because that's what the video is based on.
But the sequel to the video, just when they play the remix when he wakes up.
Yeah.
I never was a fan of that version of that.
Yeah.
This, of course, is a tie.
Right.
With the other guy.
I got to make sure I may have to talk over this because I don't know how it starts.
So I'm just going to talk for a minute until the music kicks in because I'm sure there's going to be a lot of cursing going on before the music kicks in.
Let's see up.
Let's see up.
Let's see up.
I didn't realize there was an intro to this.
I probably shouldn't listen to this song before I get up.
The ultimate like, I didn't like, I didn't like the other version of this I have from the notorious soundtrack because the kid wraps on top of him for the first part of it.
I figured you would just get this song started.
I figured you would have just gone and hypnotized or something.
No, because that one would have been worse.
I've got the instrumental version.
The instrumental version.
Oh, wait, hold on.
I'm going to keep talking because this is, I have to turn this down because the album version of this is completely different from the version you know.
That went over well.
I'm sorry.
It's okay.
It was a rough job.
I know.
Yeah, because I didn't have time to properly prepare.
It's okay.
We lost the wheels a long time ago in the show.
Yeah, that is about a point.
This is going to be a...
For those of you that boat movie length episode anyway, for those of you not following along.
There's a reason they have to go hand in hand.
Yeah, you know, because they kind of didn't realize.
Well, they fed off of each other.
Yeah.
Well, two pockets.
There we go.
Two pockets more of a poet, whereas Biggie, he was a storyteller.
He could paint a picture.
He could paint a picture while you were.
This song has been stuck in my head for three days.
I just want you to know.
He told stories.
Like, if you listen to it, he paints a whole picture for you with the entire song.
And he's just like...
These guys were so...
These two guys were so far ahead of the country.
They were kind of...
They were two sides of the same coin.
Yeah.
It was almost like you couldn't have one and not have the other.
Yeah.
And as much as I hate to say this, when Biggie passed, it was almost like a karmic balance.
Once Pock passed, you knew the other one almost had to fairly, fairly quickly,
because it upset some kind of a weird karmic balance in my opinion.
I don't know what the hell stopped playing.
I still love this song.
If hip hop can ever be referred to as irreverent, it's because of this.
Yeah.
Well, it's like we were talking about earlier.
They just don't make it like this anymore.
No, they do not.
And the kids today don't appreciate this either.
Some of them do, though.
I mean, like, you can play this or you can play Juicy right now in a club,
and it will stop everything down.
Or you could play California Love, or you could play Toss It Up,
or you could play How Do You Want It.
And it will still stop forever.
That's my favorite.
That's my favorite.
My friend has got a band.
My friend has got a band.
His good song.
I like I get around.
Yeah.
With Shaqji.
I mean, that's just a good song.
But let's go on moving to the next one.
So I can stop talking over the music.
Because we're about to throw.
The hell stopped playing.
Yes.
That's the remix.
Because the album version is completely different.
Sorry, Charlotte.
No, don't have to apologize.
That's your opinion.
But I agree and don't agree.
Because I always felt that John Lennon's stuff with the Beatles
was better than his stuff along.
I just thought once Yoko got in his head,
and they started to do that whole thing,
is to me, it weakened the product.
One word.
Imagine.
Yes.
Imagine to me.
Imagine.
Imagine.
Imagine is musical Mona Lisa.
I've heard it too much.
And I've heard people do it too much.
And I've heard people reference it too much.
I can't.
Well, I could say the same thing about California Love.
How many times have I heard that song?
I don't want to hear that song anymore.
But I'm just saying is the impact of Imagine doesn't hold water with me anymore
because it's been so watered down over the generations of people referencing it.
And using it, it just doesn't do much for me.
I could.
When they did what they did at the closing ceremony of the Olympics
and built his face out of...
With that playing background.
I lost it.
That was kind of cool.
But for me, it's...
I'm more of a fan of Happy Christmas Wars over.
I think that song is more...
To me is more impactful than Imagine.
But that's my opinion.
To me, imagine is the anthem for what the world should strive to get to.
But that's just me.
Number three.
Oh, man.
Rolling Stone magazine just named this man the greatest guitarist that ever lived.
Again.
And I doubled all you anybody to debate that.
I can make a guitar dance.
I just love that if you've never heard the story about Hendrix at...
At Woodstock.
At Woodstock the morning of...
It was the final morning.
It was the last morning.
Yeah.
It was supposed to play the night before.
He was supposed to close the show the night before.
But the traffic was so bad.
They couldn't get him there on time.
They ended up having to helicopter him in.
And he played first thing in the morning on the final day.
He didn't even play a full set.
That's why he chose to do the National Anthem because that's what was going to wake everybody up.
That's how they were going to start today.
And boy didn't wake everybody up.
And then he said his guitar on fire.
Because he goes right into...
What did he go into?
Let's watch the horror movie.
No, he went over his eyes.
Imagine that being your alarm clock.
Oh my god.
I played that for my father.
He'd never heard it or seen it.
A couple of years ago I pulled it up on YouTube and he just...
He's never heard of it.
No.
He stood there with his mouth on the...
I mean just...
He didn't have it on like a...
No, he did not.
Sure.
That was a age reference to your dad.
It wasn't it too.
Uh-huh.
Number two.
The man who emulated that guy.
One of my absolute personal musical eros.
And I thank you for finally coming to the party on this one.
Because I've been a fan of this guy since I was a teen.
Well, I became a fan in the mid-90s.
My...
The greatness of...
The conquistador.
Got me on Stevie Ray Vaughn.
And not even knowing everything about how this guy was connected to our own bird.
You know how I got on to him.
How's that?
Brian Fry.
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Our manager.
I mean here.
Pictures open in his office.
Who is that dude?
And I looked at you like you don't know who that is.
And I wish you could see the day he finally came around on John Mayer.
Because he used to have a Will Ferrel-esque level of distaste for John Mayer.
And I had...
It was all because of your body.
Which I think is a great song.
But we were at a Best Buy.
And they had...
Yeah, your job, wasn't it?
And one of his concerts was on...
They were playing it on a DVD.
And I've been a fan of John Mayer since...
Since the first time I heard.
I'm gonna run through the walls.
Am I high school?
That song?
He's very first single.
I remember Daughters was the one that got me.
No, that was like his second or third album.
Yeah, that's when I started...
I could tell you the name of the song that was playing.
Was...
I don't know who...
I don't know if it's the song that he did originally.
Or if he was just doing a cover of a song called...
I don't need no doctor.
Oh yeah, that's a cover.
I don't know who did it originally.
I don't know who did it originally.
But I heard it and I stopped.
And I know Clath instead.
And I was like...
What in the...
Is it...
What's...
No such thing as the song I was thinking of.
What show is this from?
Because I thought it was Stevie that was singing.
He sounded just like Stevie.
And I turned around.
Megan was with us.
We took him into the airport.
We were.
We were indeed, because we had some sweet tomatoes for lunch.
Uh-huh.
And I...
I...
I came back around the back of the display case.
Went into the home theater room that they were showing in it.
And I was like...
Oh no.
And that day...
And that day he finally came around and really started listening to John Mayer.
And I almost bought the CD in the store that day.
I just said...
You know what?
I'm just gonna go home and get this off of iTunes.
Because this song is amazing.
Kids are beast.
But...
The day that...
I mean, I thought you were gonna say that you'll never forget the day where we were in Austin.
Oh yeah, when you went to the grave.
No, we didn't go to the grave.
Because the grave's here.
When you went to the...
The tribute statue.
They have a...
Like a 10-foot bronze statue of him by the river in downtown Austin.
And it casts...
It's...
The shadow that it casts is actually a sculpture in itself.
It's like an iron...
Of him with his guitar up.
Because the statue with his guitar down to his side.
But the shadow that's also sculpted on the slab that it's standing on is a...
Is a shot at him just ripping on the fender.
I was like...
And I stood there just...
I was choking back tears.
Choking back to...
He and Doc were both there.
That was a week and we auditioned for World Tourism Pop Culture.
Which we really need to get into on this show sometime.
I think we really have.
That's just...
We have to tell that story with Doc in the room.
That's what I'm saying.
When we have Doc in here.
Because I...
Have I even been here when he's been on this show?
The first time, yeah.
The first time.
He's only been on twice.
Because never, that was a night that he drank up at Stella.
Oh, that's right.
And number one.
You can never hear this song.
This song will never be worn out to me.
This is probably top three, Michael Jackson's song story.
This song along.
Especially with Chris Jefferson.
Shut up!
Shut up!
I prefer the guy singing it before him.
What is this?
What is this?
Don't stop until you get enough.
I'm in the classics.
I'm not the only one hearing this.
This man, especially after this is it.
When all that, all the naysayers saying,
Oh, he can't get it done anymore.
Human nature.
That's all you have to say.
That's all I have to say.
I was...
I was a wreck.
Because even I was like, I just don't know what this is going to work.
Of course, it's going to do it overseas.
So it's going to make up a $1,000,000.
Because you know, he's huge.
And then we went to the midnight screening of this is it.
And by the time it was over, it's like, I can't...
I can't deny that this would have been huge no matter where it was.
Because he was still getting it done.
Yeah, wait.
Human nature is on my head as I get goosebumps.
Yeah.
Every time.
And the handful of times that you and I have actually sang it together on the karaoke stage.
Thank you, goosebumps.
Sometimes I have to fight to get through it.
That song means the world to me.
And I remember whenever this song first came out, I just kind of liked it.
And I started liking it more and more as my musical taste started maturing.
And then after this is it, it became my favorite Michael Jackson song.
And lady in my life.
Good song.
Yeah.
There was a huge hit of Fendon.
Like, everybody like, that was a big hit.
You know, I'm right there with you though.
Yeah, that's creepy.
And I've always felt...
Walk with you.
Great song.
If I could...
I thought it was walk right now.
No.
I'll walk with you.
I'll walk with you.
I'll walk with you.
And I just picked up Michael Jackson's vision today.
It's a 3D set of Marvel crossovers.
Yeah.
Of every...
Pretty much every video you could possibly think of on this thing.
They've even got Blamin' on the boogie on there.
Great song.
The complete version of Kenny Feelin' is on there.
Although they still don't have the complete ghosts short film on.
Right.
I wish they did.
Off the wall.
I mean, it's...
What happened?
What now?
I'll have to show you where we get our fans.
Okay.
Oh, that's the list.
Oh no.
And when you read this post, I want you to hear her in your head saying this.
Okay, that's all.
I'm telling you.
Okay.
We're going to take you home tonight with the Immortal Mega Mix from this man.
Oh god, this is great.
So...
Charlotte, thank you.
It's always looking forward to spending a little bit of time with you after the show.
They're not.
Brandon, you going to stick around?
Yeah, I'll be here.
All right.
Shout out you're going to stick around.
We're going to get food first and then we're going to watch Dark Knight Returns Part One.
Which I've been holding off on all week and I'm ready to watch it now.
So until next...
Oh, by the way, do the plugs.

My name is Rob.
The Clubhouse is closed and...
and halfway is getting married this weekend.
So pretty polymer.
Still getting it done.
Somebody give me that calendar for Christmas.
I'm just saying.
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
All the Clubhouse of the West,
me and I, nothing to judge on the whole heart of me.
Yes, it's all right.
Did my night just do your proper challenge?
Why?
It's a rather word to try to teach the man who is painting.
The brother will hate for you.
I cast for all the same.
Yes, the blood inside of me is inside of you.
And I'm down there.
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
Yeah, I can feel it.
You know I was, I was wondering if you should keep on because the force is got a lot
of power, They make me feel like I'm it'd make me feel like now...
I can't understand why I'mve got to enter into that power right now.
I don't stop to get it, I keep my arms told to me, be careful what you do.
I don't go around rigging young girls' hearts.
I push a came and stood right behind me, because I smell as we move human.
I guess I'm having my soul now.
I see falling to a moon.
The beauty changes like my lover.
The sheep is more like a beauty queen, but I'm more than seen.
I said, don't mind, but what do you mean?
I am the one.
I call with dance on the floor and around.
She said, I am the one.
I call with dance on the floor and around.
She told me her name is Billie Jean, as she calls to sing.
Then heavy air turned with the eyes that dream of being the one.
I call with dance on the floor and around.
I call with dance on the floor and around.
Don't grow before Billie Jean.
Don't grow before Billie Jean.
Don't ever like to sing.
Don't grow before Billie Jean.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
Don't know later, don't know.
She says I don't want to find the chamber.
Eat this!
Eat this!
