The following is a sooner or gator production.
Noice, noice, noice, noice.
Good morning!
Woo!
Yo, stop. Are you ready for the jam?
I said are you ready for the jam?
Yo, gee.
Kick it.
Drum and squeeze!
Go!
All right give it a go!
Keep it goin' uh
Terrace!
You know what? That's not even the right music. Let's do this.
On a night like tonight, we gotta change it up. Good evening. It is Saturday night.
It is 802 on the East Coast. It is 502 on the West Coast.
It is the 30th of June in the year of our Lord 2012.
It is season 2 episode 48 of the clubhouse.
If you can do map and you know that last year we didn't miss a week.
So it's 52 weeks. You add to that the 48 shows that we have done in season 2.
That means this is episode 100 weekly episode of the clubhouse.
If you don't count special editions, which we're not doing in this particular case.
100 weekly episodes of the clubhouse starts right now. We welcome each and every one of you.
Whether you are listening live, listening on the archive, listening on your portable device.
We cannot thank you enough for being here. I am Rob. I welcome you as a voice is about to permeate your earlobes.
That has not done show in about six weeks unless you listen to on the archive or you live with them.
Which one of our viewer listeners does. Welcome back the dapperly attire chat.
Thank you sir. It's good to have you home sir. It's good to be back.
Man, I felt like an entire generation has passed me by.
And how exactly would it permeate their earlobes? They're getting their ears pierced.
Very much so. Well, you know.
Would I do this? Yes. That's pierced your earlobes.
Couple of great friends of the show are joining us tonight first and foremost.
A guy that's been a few weeks since he's been here. But he's always welcome. All he has to do is call.
Good friend, fellow South Floridian and a man that knows a public sub as well as I do.
He is John. Hello everybody.
Welcome back sir. Thanks for having me. You're always welcome. Also joining us tonight on episode 100.
A Charlotte couldn't make it tonight. She had plans. Even though it is last Saturday night of the month. But that's okay.
Joining us tonight are correspondent in the field for all things comic book art and things of its ilk.
I've known this young man.
We're passing a decade now, I think. He is the great accomplished comic book artist Brent Peoples.
Hey. Welcome back sir. Thanks.
We're a traveler. Yes. Albuquerque, New York, Denver.
How did Denver, like, could you feel like, is it really harder to breathe in the good Denver?
No. Because I found when I got off, I went to Colorado for a business trip and I could, like, my chest felt heavier when I got off the point.
No, it was good. Albuquerque is actually higher than Denver.
Albuquerque is just hot. Yeah. Just gross. Yeah.
All right. All the pieces are in place. Episode 100. The wheels are moving. The train has left the station.
We cannot guarantee how long the wheels will be on.
As if you listened to the show last week, you know there weren't any wheels to begin over under 10 minutes.
But it was a great show. We appreciated everybody that's filled in for chat while he's been gone.
We appreciate all of you guys helping us out. Let's start with corrections.
As I take a sip of my tasty beverage. By the way, the Arnold Palmer, the official Arnold Palmer, zero no calories, much better than the Snapple version of it.
Yeah. The diet Snapple half and half is terrible. Yeah, it is. I actually gave it a shot one time and that was a mistake.
This actually tastes more like a regular Arnold Palmer.
So listen to the last week's show. Although things got crazy and things got nutty and all that good stuff.
I'm actually no pun intended with the Nutella segments that wound up in the show.
The show was clean. Had a great time again. Don, Stephen, thank you, gentlemen, both for being there. Cannot thank you enough.
And we're also celebrating. Not only is this episode 100, but it is my birthday weekend.
My birthday last week, I didn't think. Huh? I thought it was Stephen and Andrew last week.
Oh, it was Stephen and Andrew. Don filled out like three weeks before that. So I just kind of got used to him being here.
My birthday officially starts now in 20, eight hours and 54 minutes. So there's that.
Let us start as we do with a little bit of NASCAR.
Last weekend at the Toyota Savemark 350. That is two separate sponsors. Toyota does not have a grocery store chain.
Your top 10 finishers. Number 10 in the number 20 Toyota Home Depot car is Joey Lugato.
The ninth place in the Shell Slash Penzoil Dodge number 22 A.J. Almond Dinger.
Doesn't he sound like a like a sandwich? They'd serve at Jason's deli.
An Almond Dinger. An Almond Dinger. Something they would serve at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Speaking of sandwiches, if you have not tried that Memphis barbecue pulled pork at Burger King, do yourself a salad.
That one today. It's just that good. It really is that good. Not from Burger King.
No, you would think that, but it really is. They're doing this whole summer barbecue line.
I'll pass. I'm telling you, you could do worse.
Oh, because you have one right up the street from your house.
Exactly. In eighth place at the Toyota Savemark 350. In the number 9 Ford Stanley.
Marcus Ambrose. Seventh place in the 3M U.S. Stationary Ford number 16 Greg Biffle.
And number 6 in the number 24 Chevrolet Drive to End Hunger Jeff Gordon.
Fifth place in the Lowe's number 48 Chevrolet. Five time, five time, five time, five time, five time.
Spring Cup champion Jimmy Johnson. Not that Jimmy Johnson.
Fourth place in the R.K. Motor Charlotte dot com number 55 Toyota.
Brian Vickers.
Numbers in the bronze medal last Sunday in the Phoenix Construction Services number 51 Chevrolet Kurt Busch.
Silver medal in the office depot slash mobile one number 14 Chevrolet.
Small Tony Stewart and winning the Toyota Savemark 350.
Picking up $314,089 in the number 15 Toyota five hour energy.
Mr. Clint Boyer.
So, let us get you your current point standings because that's what we do.
Uh, did I go the right place here? I don't think I did.
Not a lot of movement this week in the 12 spot Kyle Busch stays where he is.
Carl Edwards number 11 stays where he is. Brad keselowski, oddly enough stays where he is at number 10.
Martin Truex, junior drops two to nine.
Denny Hemlin drops three to eight. Clint Boyer, up two to seven. Kevin Harvick stays where he is at six.
Small Tony Stewart, up three to five, five time, five time, five time, five time, five time.
Spring Cup champion Jimmy Johnson. Hold steady at four. Dale Earnhardt, junior drops one.
He is now trailing Greg Biffle. Greg Biffle is now 11 points behind Matt Kenseth.
Who is your current leader?
Which means he drives in a circle faster than the rest?
Last week was a road course. So, they don't always drive a circle.
Road courses are kind of cool because it's more like Formula One where there's like dips and hairpin turns and stuff.
Oh, but they're still in a circle.
Yes, we're going on right now at Kentucky Speedway, the Quaker State 400.
Going on currently. It is a one and a half mile tri oval track.
Were they 14 degree bank turn?
It kind of looks like one of those curling things that they move in curling.
It kind of looks like that. That helps you another not real sport.
Hey, extreme shuffleboard. Extreme shuffleboard, yeah.
Only played in nursing homes in the Arctic.
But you know what? Not the shuffleboard you played a bar, but like the shuffleboard you played with the big discs?
Right. I really, because you know, I have grandparents. I grew up in Florida.
John Kent sympathized with me on this.
Oh, yeah.
Is that not fun to play?
It's not.
Because when you have grandparents and they're in nursing homes, that's all you've got.
You've got a pool and you've got shuffleboard. That's it.
That, Gavin.
But I'm just going to play with my grandparents. I'm not just going to go out and play with my own though.
No, but like to, but you have fun doing so. That's what I'm saying.
It's not like when I was a kid. Yeah, I do.
I don't know. I would still enjoy it today.
I'm just saying.
Hey, Gramps, you want to play lawn darts? No, don't let it pick that thing.
Jarts. Jarts were awesome.
Oh, maybe if I was drinking or something like that, I'd play it.
Drunk Jarts?
Oh, yeah. Drunk Shuffleboard.
Oh, yeah. Drunk Jarts. That's a bad combination.
Well, pretty much everybody's kind of drinking when you're playing darts anyway.
So, yeah.
True.
All right.
So that's going to do it for NASCAR talk.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
Brandon has joined us.
Welcome, sir.
Hopefully, I'll be seeing you here in just a few hours.
Also celebrating a birthday the same day I do.
A friend of the show, Crystal Vest.
We will be seeing her this evening.
I'm not going to be there all night, but I'll make an appearance.
To say hello and maybe sing a song or two.
Barb Wire, hosting karaoke tonight.
We're going to move on right now.
Don't forget to like our Facebook page.
Look up the clubhouse podcast.
Please make sure you put the word podcast at the end of it.
It's coming completely different.
Follow us on Twitter at ClubhouseShow.
Follow me on Twitter.
Yes, that robber of an E R V I N.
I'm at chat in PG six years.
None here.
Yes.
And I am SFL native 72.
At people's art.
And that's the E E P L E S A R T.
Show the Parker on Pinterest.
Because his people are your people.
I got your people.
I'm sorry to get those people.
Okay.
Let's do a little TV news because we are your one stop shop
for all things sports and entertainer to them.
That's inappropriate.
I don't know.
I got nothing.
I'm just going to Peter it out.
Yeah.
Moving on.
Found out this week two characters from the office not returning
this fall.
As Mindy Kayling.
Which one is she?
She was the East Indonesian girl.
Well, okay.
Why is her name currently escaping me?
Now I gotta look it up.
The one that talks a lot.
Yes.
Okay.
Her promo for her new show is all over TV right now.
Show her driving her bike into a pool.
She has gotten a pilot picked up by NBC oddly enough.
Kelly Cooper.
Yes.
She played on the office.
And her love interest on the show, PJ Novak, who plays Ryan,
he will not be returning.
He is a consulting producer and a writer.
So I don't know.
I guess if I've got to pick one of them,
I think it's going to be missed more.
It's probably going to be Novak.
Because I thought his character might have been a little bit more interesting.
Then Mindy Kaylings.
But Mindy Kaylings still very funny.
I've seen her do stand up and she does this bit about,
you know, like when you go to the movies and they show that trailer,
like you wouldn't steal a car.
And she goes, I would steal a car if I could touch the car.
And then 30 seconds later, I owned the car.
She goes, I would steal a car if I could touch the car,
own the car.
And the original owner of the car still had their own version of the car.
Great bit that she does.
But neither one of them returning to the office,
a lot of people are feeling that the wheels are falling off this thing quickly.
I thought this season was good.
Corel has said, officially,
there is no way he is ever returning,
maybe as a series finale,
but bull-adventure.
I kind of like I said, it was good this last season.
Well, who did they pick for the new boss?
It's Andy.
Oh God.
So it was kind of the same thing, really.
Yeah.
But really, you couldn't,
because I think you couldn't pick Dwight,
because the Dwight gym dynamic always has to be there.
So you couldn't pick either one of them.
You know, you've got,
I thought James Spader was taking over as the boss.
No, Spader was their boss.
You know, Spader, Spader turned out to,
he was the CEO of the company.
Oh, okay.
The season premiere,
they weren't talking about how he just went down to Tallahassee
to Saber's headquarters.
And just basically,
Kathy Bates' character,
she resigned and he took over.
And Jim goes,
he literally just walked in and took her job.
I think that's when I stopped watching
was when they were doing that whole job boss search.
I like that.
And then I just kind of fell off.
Jim Carrey, I thought that was funny.
You admitted to be an early preacher.
Well, I like Jim Carrey,
but Jim Carrey in his movie,
Slapstick, Mr. Popper's Pinguins,
not a big fan of.
But I mean,
he didn't overplay it in, though.
Brandon said,
Charlotte tried to hustle him into seeing Magic Mike.
I want to thank you for holding the line, sir.
Thank you.
On behalf of the male gender,
thank you.
He might actually earn his mancard back at some point.
No, impossible.
If you are going to send the AGO Comic Con,
that's what, three weeks away?
Yep.
So that's the weekend dark night open,
no, it's the weekend before.
Before.
So it's two weeks from now.
It's the, yeah, two weeks.
13-14 that whole week almost.
If you are like me and a fan of Firefly,
there will be a 10th anniversary reunion panel.
Good love to see this.
The great Nathan Phillian.
Although Brent, you have expressed it directly in pre-show
that you are not a fan.
Meh.
To which.
I got to rebuke that.
I'm sorry.
Because my wife got into Firefly.
Like my wife and Doug that.
Meh.
Which is when the lovely,
the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin has some strange tastes
in television shows.
Like, you can't predict her.
I came home the other night and she was watching a documentary
on the history channel about Atlantis.
Like, I was like, really?
But, you know, there's that.
See, I was kind of there with you, Brent,
for the longest time I resisted it.
Because TV sci-fi as a rule doesn't really do much more.
But really bad.
Yeah, I like it.
It's done.
No, no, no.
Firefly, to me, was the exception
because Farscape always look cheesy.
Babylon.
Five always look cheesy.
All the iterations of Stargate look cheesy.
I'm not going to dread a dangerous water show
and start talking about Star Trek.
But.
Oh, excuse me.
But.
But Firefly.
We have to protect John.
Yeah.
That's why.
His lady friend is a very big fan of the Trek.
Huge.
Huge.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, what Prince is for me, that's Star Trek for her.
Well, I mean, I've watched, I've watched Firefly.
Like, I've seen a couple episodes.
And like, Baldwin, I like the guy.
Like, he's a nice, nice guy.
I'm a Baldwin's awesome and everything.
Like, well, I mean, I've seen it in some shows.
I've never met him.
But people have come up and talked about how nice the guy is.
It's cool.
It's cool.
It's a thing.
Yeah.
I just, I just watched the show and I can't get into it.
That, that has together just really had something.
It's just TV sci-fi.
I can't do it.
That'll start galactic.
That's all I have to say.
The very hot, very smart, very entertaining Aaron Andrews
is leaving the ABC ESPN fold.
Also former Gator Great.
Want to put that out there.
She has auditioned to be the host the next host for the X Factor.
But inside sources are saying, even if she doesn't get the hosting job on the X Factor,
she will land at Fox Regardless.
My personal opinion, this is a huge, huge coup.
Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
Another show I don't care about.
I'm surprised that they, that they let her get away from ESPN.
Well, sometimes you can let somebody go or they don't want to be there.
Look, I read that they don't mean aggressively could it be pursued her?
No, they did aggressively pursue her.
Yeah.
Apparently they offered her a butt ton of money.
Yeah.
I mean, I remember when she was doing movie, John, you're with me on this.
Sunshine Network.
Yeah.
She did the studio work for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
That's how she started.
I didn't know that.
I remember seeing her on Sunshine Network.
Maybe, maybe she sees this as her way of finally putting all that nastiness with a hotel
controversy behind her or something.
I don't know.
She'll always be associated with that when she was with ESPN.
But you know what?
I don't really even think about that anymore.
We don't, but maybe she does.
Could be.
Maybe this is just something she feels like she has to do for herself.
This is her closing the book on that.
Could be.
Still hot.
So looks great.
Yeah.
So in case you've been living in a cave, Anne Curry leaving the today show after 14 years.
Didn't realize she'd been there that long.
Didn't really care.
A Savannah Guthrie is going to be replacing her.
Pretty girl.
Apparently, you've been with the network forever.
Done everything.
She's covered for Brian Williams.
I'm going to be seen.
I only knew she's moderated.
I'll meet the press.
She's been doing some special correspondence work with the today show already.
You know, of course, everybody has to do these standard.
We're excited to have her here.
And if you watch the today show, there's that.
I think that goodbye didn't go too well.
Really?
I don't know enough about the situation.
Please elaborate, sir.
I saw the video because, you know,
when I'm on Yahoo doing a day at work, sometimes when I got nothing to do.
It's all the video.
It's going to be nice.
Apparently she was not very happy with Matt Lauer.
And he was doing it.
Anne Curry, wasn't?
Yes.
He was giving his, he was giving his goodbye spiel.
We're going to miss you.
And blah, blah, blah.
And she wasn't even looking out.
And he went to kiss her.
And she didn't even, she turned away and like kissed like the sign of her cheek or something like that.
But then she helped hug the other two.
So you're like, well, I'll broker and somebody else around.
Maybe that's just tension.
Yeah.
But it was, you know, it was, if you see the video, you can tell.
It's Matt Lauer.
The guy owns the network pretty much at this point.
Yeah.
She wasn't very happy with the situation.
She just needs to own a different hair piece.
There was a plethora of comments there for a moment.
I was a little confused.
So we have this next story.
If you're a dish network customer, first of all, I'm sorry.
Sorry about your bad luck there.
I mean, even your old man who is not one to adapt to technology, change real quick,
bailed on them as quickly as he could.
Yeah.
Oh, I've got it right now.
I'm sorry.
This is the only thing that I can get where I live.
Really?
Where you live?
Levant.
They've got Verizon Fios installed in the homes in Levant.
Yeah.
Just not in your neighborhood.
It's in our neighborhood, but they won't put it in.
They won't.
Levant won't turn it on.
The city won't?
Until it's more populated.
Catch 22 is what it sounds like to me.
I'm sorry.
But if you are a dish customer, you are going to lose at this point.
We haven't heard anything different in about what, four hours?
In about four and a half?
Yeah.
You're going to lose all of the AMC networks.
So does that matter?
Does anybody watch AMC?
Walking dead.
Walking dead.
Oh, you're right.
Okay.
The killing.
Comic bookman.
Breaking bad.
Breaking bad.
Breaking bad, which just fired up their new season.
Oh, that's not good news.
No.
No, but who were the other two channels involved in that thing?
Or no, was it just them and they were replacing with something else?
I want to say it was IFC, maybe, and W-E, right?
Yeah, W-T-D.
Right.
Which, you know.
Which I'm sure you don't miss that.
That doesn't affect anybody in this room.
But it might affect Brandon listening, so he might.
Poor Brandon.
Congratulations to the series resurrection of Dallas as TNT,
who apparently knows drama, has renewed it for season two.
And they have also renewed Rizoli and Isles with the,
with the very hot Mrs. Jason Seahorn.
Yeah, because she's hot.
Season four.
I was like, that show's been on four?
I thought this was like the second season.
It gets season four.
It's when I read this week.
I was like, when I saw that, did you write this correctly?
No, I mean, I double checked it as I wrote the run she was.
Oh, okay.
Angie Harmon.
But see, here's my thing.
Angie Harmon.
Can we all agree hot?
Local girl, too, right?
Yes, she's from here.
Yes, we're gonna agree.
She needs to leave this quest to play She-Hulk alone.
Why?
This is the new thing.
She's on a campaign she wants to play.
She wants to play She-Hulk in a movie.
Okay.
No, I'm out.
Why?
I don't see it.
Why?
Because I just don't see it.
It doesn't make any sense to me.
Like, she did a, she did like a picture.
Who do you want to play She-Hulk?
China?
No.
No.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, he's right.
Wow.
She did.
Man, a little brown chicken brown cow.
Yeah, made her pass out three times at the freaking convention she was at promoting it.
But she ever done a theatrical release.
Angie Harmon.
I've got IMD pulled, DB pulled up.
Let me look.
I mean, and not as a major character of anything.
She might have done like a.
Well, very, very minor role.
But here I'll play She-Hulk.
I thought she was great.
She was great on Law and Order.
I mean, she was like her just couldn't see her as She-Hulk.
She was in, she did play, she played Veronica Clemen in fun with Dick and Jane.
She was an agent, that's right.
She was an agent Cody Banks.
Never saw that.
She wasn't that.
She was Barbara Gordon in Return of the Joker Batman Beyond.
Really?
She was, she was Barbara Gordon on Batman Beyond.
That's a voiceover part though.
Right, but still I'm counting it.
She was on, I forgot she was on Baywatch nights.
That horrible spin-off.
Oh, so bad.
Where they like tried to make Baywatch into like the ex files.
Yeah.
That works.
That's a bad idea that was.
I'm not like Baywatch itself was a great idea.
I mean, sometimes they take on a lot mass monster.
No, the revampire is involved in it.
Oh god.
HDNet is now renaming itself AXSTV,
which apparently is what they were going to be replacing the majority of the AMC networks with on-dish.
Right.
Is all the HDNet stuff.
It is apparently Cuban, Mark Cuban,
teaming up with the AEG people.
They're like a concert promotions deal.
AEG live.
They're kind of, they kind of work hand in hand a little bit with, with Ticketmaster.
Ryan Seacrest Media and CAA.
So, but apparently it's not going to change any programming.
They're just, I don't get it.
I got nothing.
I got a big bag of nothing.
Ryan Seacrest Media.
Does he really need his own entertainment company?
He already has it.
It's called Ryan Seacrest Media.
I know.
Does he really need it?
Well, you know, how bad does this guy want to be Dick Clark?
So bad.
Dick Clark Productions.
He's already there, sir.
Yeah.
This is his answer to Dick Clark Productions.
Ryan Seacrest Media.
And he's a leprechaun.
I watched the soup way too much.
That's going to do it for TV talk.
Join us, but two weeks from tomorrow.

Chad will be back with us this month for the first for the first time last month.
We had somebody that was not technically clubhouse proper.
Do the show.
Thank you, Don, for filling in the last minute cannot thank you enough brother.
Appreciate it.
Very, very much.
Wait, two weeks on the mark.
I thought that was the Sunday you were working.
Yeah.
I'm working the 29.
Okay, okay.
I'm not working on a weekend again till the end of the month.
My schedule is set, sir.
I'm ready to R O C K this thing.
That's what's wrong.
It does.
But not of ages because apparently you didn't like that movie.
No, I like to just freaking what's his name took me out of it.
He said Alec Baldwin took him out of the film.
Alec, of all people Alec Baldwin took you out of it.
Yes.
Let's do some MMA talk.
We'll talk about that in movie time.
Yeah.
Just one quick story in MMA talk.
Mike Tyson's one man show directed and produced by Spike Lee debuts on Broadway this week.
He was on PCI the other day.
Was that a was that not a great interview?
That was hilarious.
They asked him for a quick story from the show, a little preview.
Tyson starts his answer and it really had nothing to do with the story.
But Tyson just throws out there.
Wilbon, I know how much you like it when I talk about venereal diseases.
We find out the next day.
Wilbon admits that was from a conversation we had 15 years ago.
Oh Lord.
I can't believe he remembered that.
But Tyson's telling a story about when he was divorcing Robin Givens and he was at the lawyers office.
And he was still hitting that.
Yeah.
I was still hitting that.
Yeah.
We know.
Not the way you're referring.
The car he bought her is coming down the road with her driving it.
And there's a dude in the car.
And Mike's getting really mad.
He's like, I was ready to punch out.
As soon as I got close enough, I was going to run and punch the guy.
It was Brad Pitt.
Oh jeez.
He goes, I saw him and I was like, I can't hit him.
He's too pretty.
And I was like, you know what?
After that story, I would pay to see this now.
I knew it was my car because I bought it.
He didn't hit Brad Pitt because he didn't want to get smacked with a multi-billion dollar lawsuit.
But you also got to think about when that was.
That was before Brad was really big.
That was like, that was like Dumbo Louise.
That was barely if that.
Yeah.
But I, but it got extended for another week.
It was only supposed to have a one week run.
The theater has given him another week.
They must have sold like mad.
They're just a two-headed dog thing.
I guess.
I mean, who wouldn't go see Mike Tyson on one man show just to watch the train then?
Well, but this isn't the start of this thing.
He actually did this in Vegas for a while before he even took it to Broadway.
So, so it's had the exact opposite effect that people, the exact opposite.
Yeah.
I said on this show, I didn't think it was going to make the first intermission.
But it's such, the New York is such a tourist place even more so than Vegas.
So, you're in New York and you go, huh, what's playing really Mike Tyson on one man show?
We're going like, why not?
I can, yeah, we're here.
We might as well see this thing.
Honey, cut your trip to Times Square short.
We're going to go see the Mike Tyson Broadway.
I mean, wicked, wicked sold out.
Les Mizzes sold out.
Rants boring.
I don't know.
I would see Les Mizz.
I missed that.
I got him.
Let me see that.
I think it's still right off Broadway.
In this side gun, I don't think it's still on.
I don't think it is.
But like, the young Frankenstein, I've actually seen that theater.
It's literally, when they say off Broadway, it's like a half a block.
Yeah, off of Broadway.
So it's technically off Broadway.
But they have these huge statues of the two main characters from young Frankenstein,
like on top of the marquee.
It's kind of cool.
At least the one I was there some years ago.
But that's all I've got really for MMA talk.
Not much going on this weekend.
I got to watch Ultimate Fighter Brazil tomorrow.
I'll be caught up.
I'm already caught up on that.
So there's that.
Let us now go because we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
We are going to go on to a little bit of Major League Baseball talk.
Not a lot of headlines out of Major League Baseball this week.
John, unless you've got anything, sir.
Nope.
I don't think so.
I just, I like your, your cardinals to find out what stability is if you don't mind.
Well, it's just injuries there.
They're, they're worse than my braves at being stable for a week.
It's, it's crazy.
Well, you know, Berkman's pretty, been pretty much all year long.
He's out.
Carpenter hasn't pitched all he's out.
Wayne writes for still recovering from the Tommy John surgery.
And that takes like, almost two years to fully recover from that.
So we'll probably back to his normal self next year.
So it's just, you know, can't win the World Series every year.
Let's go straight to your standings in the American League East.
The Toronto Blue Jays have done Sharla's beloved Boston Red Sox a favor and dropped to a game and a half behind them.
Tampa Bay raised right in the middle of the pack and the Orioles are five games behind the hated New York Yankees right now.
By the way, Yankees run differential is a plus fifty five.
Best in the league, not quite by friend.
In the Al Central, the Minnesota twins are, the Minnesota twins are 14 games below 500 and they're only 10 games out of first place.
Let's see, they're running different, different 12 those guys.
Minus 96.
The Kansas City Royals are four and a half games better than the twins.
The Tigers are game better than them.
Cleveland two games better than them, but Cleveland still two and a half games behind the Chicago White Sox,
who we're getting ready to melt down any day now.
In the ALS, the Seattle Mariners 16 and a half games out of first place, Seattle.
You want to think about getting a basketball team back? Get your other teams in shape first.
Oakland 12 games out LA six games now behind your beloved Texas Rangers.
Rangers run differential best in the league plus 97.
Nice.
And I said on this show last week, I'm giving the Rangers some love because they're playing like a team that wants to win.
They're not playing like a team that we're hoping doesn't melt down after the all start break.
Does that mean they won't? I'm not guaranteeing that.
Now they're winning a division, but they're playing very, very well.
And he's good at anybody else.
As someone who's not invested in the Rangers, which you are not much like me.
They're the best team in that division by far.
Nationally West, the San Diego Padres, who are 22 games below 500, are tied with the Colorado Rockies,
but the Rockies hold the tiebreaker right now.
How can you wait?
The Rockies have won two more games, lost four less games, and both of them be tied in the division.
Both 12 and a half games back. That doesn't make any sense.
Somebody's to fix that at Yahoo.
Actually, I'm looking at it right now.
Oh, 15 and a half.
15 and a half.
I can't see. I'm getting old.
Arizona Diamondbacks right in the middle of the pack.
Three and a half back that Dodgers now a half game behind the San Francisco Giants who are starting to play ball.
A lot of people were concerned that they were going to have a little bit of a meltdown.
But they are now starting to make that climbing.
They're even 1919 on the road, 25 and 16 at home.
Well, the Dodgers have fallen off, too. They're one and nine. They're the last ten.
That's true.
And now central, the Chicago Cubs, 15 games at a first place.
They are three and a half games behind the Houston Astros. They're in mid-season form.
Yeah.
They're, they're, they're, they're, they're in stride.
The Brewers middle of the pack, your beloved Cardinals, three and a half games back.
They are two and a half back of the Pirates.
The Reds still in first place, but it's the Reds and the Pirates.
Don't hold your breath. The All-Star break is almost here.
And in the only division that matters, the NL East, the Phillies now falling even further.
They are now ten games out of first place.
My beloved Miami Marlins, who are going to be the subject of Showtime's The Franchise this year that will debut.
So two Miami teams going to be having series this year.
As the Marlins will be on the Franchise starting July 12th and the Dolphins.
Our beloved Dolphins will be on Heart Nox this year.
My beloved Braves middle of the pack, three and a half games back.
They're only a half game behind the Mads, but the Washington Nattinals still holding on.
I need them to start melting down like they do.
It's possible they're a young team, so they might, you know, start fading back a little bit.
And of course, when they get, when they have to stop using Strasbourg.
Because that guy, man, that kid's life in the world on fire right now.
It's 180 innings because of the Tommy John surgery.
Yeah.
But if you're going to do that, you better, you'd better space it now because...
You might want to start pitching them like every two.
Yeah, because if he's pitching like this, you need him for the playoffs.
playoffs!
And we're not even at the halfway point yet.
That is Major League Baseball Talk.
Let's do a little bit of music talk right now.
I do love this song.
You have a leak.
A condensation sucks.
Congratulations to the Adele.
She's got a little bunny of him.
She does.
With her longtime boyfriend Simon Kinecki.
Wasn't he in Greece?
Oh, no.
Any peripheral for the Xbox 360?
Oh, that's the Kinect, I'm sorry.
No, they were the guy...
No, this is the guy that invented blades of steel.
Konami.
Oh, okay.
So, am I the only one that could care less about Adele?
I think she's great.
Really?
Both of her albums, I think, are great.
21 has now been in the top 10 album chart for over 70 weeks straight.
There's something to it, man.
Just over.
I think she's got a great voice.
Oh, I'm not.
She doesn't have to trick everything.
But I mean, I understand what you're saying.
She's over exposed and from a press standpoint is what you're saying.
Extremely.
Like, I don't need to switch to six different radio stations and hear the same song.
Because, you know why?
Because she sounds like she's from London.
That was for you, sir.
That was for you, sir.
He's gone for six weeks.
I got to put it in there somehow.
I mean, you know, I'm kind of beaten down by Adele personally.
But I'll listen to her over Rihanna any day of the week at twice on Sunday.
No.
I believe we have a winner.
I'm totally on board with that system.
I'd listen to Adele over.
Ella.
Ella.
Ella.
A.
A.
A.
Was that like the Star Trek red alert?
I'm just over it.
I mean, just give me something other than talking about this boy.
Apparently you were dating but not really dating that left you.
She made a million dollars.
She made a million dollars of it.
She's the British Atlantis more set, basically.
Yeah, but at least a little more talent.
At least Atlantis, you know, was kind of naughty.
If you knew what I mean.
If you knew what I mean.
Yeah, I think you did.
She just released a new album.
You want naughty?
You've got Nicki Minaj for that.
Yes, sir.
Thank you.
I think you just threw up in my mouth.
Oh, that is my girlfriend.
God, that girl repulses me.
Good luck with all that, sir.
Oh, enjoy that swim in the sewer.
I'll take it.
Go right on ahead.
Moving on.
Don't know if you heard about this story, but the soundtrack to the Olympics has leaked.
Does anyone give two red spots over?
Well, when I say the soundtrack, I mean songs that they're using for the Olympics.
It's not everything's new.
There's a lot of classic stuff.
Isn't it the same song they've had for all the Olympics?
No.
No, this is a whole soundtrack.
But apparently no Beatles songs.
But we do have the theme for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
We just like to hear it because I have it.
As long as you don't do that from London bit again.
Sure.
Oh, I make no guarantee, sir.
This is from Muse.
I haven't even heard this yet.
I just downloaded it today.
Sounds like the Beatles.
Kind of.
Or Laurie Anderson from back in the day.
If you remember weird.
It sounds like the theme music to a British sitcom.
Storing.
Welcome to Faulty Towers.
That sounds like a Beatles song.
This is Muse.
Song is called Survival.
And this is the official song of the Olympics.
This is the official song of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
This is literally the cover for the single,
what it says on there.
And I hate the logo, by the way.
Hate the logo for the Olympics.
God.
How long did that intro go on?
Uh...
Almost 40 seconds?
Yes.
Way too long.
This does nothing for me.
And I like Muse.
Like, I like their stuff normally.
I like Muse too, but yeah, they should have stuck with the Beatles.
This is weak.
This kind of sounds like a...
This is weak songs.
Like the song that they would write for the winner of American Idol.
Yeah, it's like...
It does, right?
Like London Idol.
I'm going to win.
Or they just like stole like Coldplay's songwriting skills.
Yeah.
Hey, Coldplay's good stuff.
Yeah, it's some of it.
See?
Coldplay's kind of wearing on me.
Oh, look at this.
What is this?
A bombastic crap going on in the background.
Don't know.
Like I said, you're literally hearing it for the first time and so am I.
Now it's turning into the theme of the excerpts.
Get this thing off.
It's London.
Is this a Nicki Minaj Grammy performance?
Is there what this is?
No, there'd be a lot more booty.
And I'm just like, I like this because I'm like, I like this all the time.
It sounds like a lady Gaga demo track.
Well played, sir.
Just as bad as her regular musical.
We are less than 30 days from the Olympics.
Yeah, I look forward to the Olympics every time you're rolls around.
Shit.
I'm a winner on the Olympics.
Well, that was art.
That was art.
We should have been on last week.
Because last week's POI was the summer Olympics versus the winter Olympics.
And I'm just the opposite.
I prefer the summer Olympics.
I don't have a preference.
I dig them both.
I just like the drama.
I just like the human drama.
I don't care really so much about what's being played.
Just the fact that you see these people that put their heart and their soul and their lives.
Behind something that they're completely.
100% committed to.
Well, we are less than 30 days away.
From set Olympics.
I, I, this is horrid.
Kill it with fire.
Kill it with fire.
Really?
No.
Give me one second.
I'm on my right in the middle of something here.
Because we are going to change up the music for the next song.
Now it's a Robbie Williams song.
That's all right.
Robbie Williams and Paul Rogers collaborating.
You may never want to play this song again.
Yeah.
Why would you just delete this from your playlist?
When we say burn a CD, we mean burn the CD.
Why don't you say congratulations to this next band?
Which may not be any better.
It's not.
I just play their theme to the next.
Mr. Rogers.
It's kind of, although this is from Austin Powers.
The spy who shacked me.
Doug Dodger's theme is the bomb, though.
With Tom Jones.
That was incredibly cool.
The flaming lips now hold a record in the Guinness Book of World records.
As they, in 24 hours, play eight different concerts in eight different cities.
Breaking the record of seven, held by the Jay Hopa himself.
Jay-Z.
But you know, he got a plane with four bedrooms in it for his birthday.
He's worried about that.
He's got 99 problems, but a bedroom in one.
Yeah, 99 problems with a world record in one.
Great.
Great joke, Chad.
Did you?
We found a picture that somebody had posted on Facebook.
It was a couple out of baseball game.
And it was him.
He's on the left.
She's on the right.
And they're both wearing.
Did you show me this?
Where he's his, the back of his jersey.
It's the number 99 and the name is Problems.
And hers is the one that says not one.
Genius.
I didn't show you that.
I don't remember who showed me that, but I thought that was high layer.
Maybe it was barbed wire, so you know that is yes.
And they're standing right next to each other at the concession stand.
So you have them right next to each other.
So it's 99 problem.
Not everyone sitting behind in their kids.
It's like, that is kicked.
It's just click, click, click, click, click, click.
They got tagged in every freaking iPhone Instagram.
Goddy!
Twitter went nuts that night.
Congrats to them, boy Mad Drops on that.
Genius.
And let Mad Drops know her for going along with it.
And there's a guy in Florida, John Amide's beloved home state, who is suing this
Heling Dio.
Good for him.
Cause she is the greatest singer in the world.
So the Antonio Ben Derris.
Welcome to the Howdy Usay.
Genius.
She on that pussed boots.
Apparently he was a handyman for her Florida home.
And she claims that she not only owes him his overtime pay, but $10,000 in severance.
Her lawyers are fighting it.
But she can't afford that kind of thing.
She's not open.
She's open rich.
Yeah.
She's got her own theater in Vegas, right?
Then he got hit.
She did at one point.
I think she may have moved out of it.
I don't know.
Was it the win?
I think.
Uh, and he's been hailing interesting statement this week.
He admits that in the back to the future Walkman scene, that he is the one playing guitar
on that tune that Michael J. Fox, when he has it plugged up to the Crispin Glover, when
he's my name is Darth Vader, I'm an extra professor of the play in the guitar.
Oh, you're Darth Vader.
I'm playing it.
Okay.
Okay.
But Eddie's finally said, also, you and I heard an interesting story this week about
Eddie Van Halen because, you know, as I, as I stated, one of the birthday presents I
got was I got my VIP membership to the Bob and Tom website.
So I get the Bob and Tom show every day in my iPod, which is who they are.
Check them out.
Yes.
Please do Bob and Tom.
Um, by the way, the April, Macy pictures are there.
Okay.
Wow.
Um, she'll be here in a couple of weeks.
She's gorgeous.
God, that woman.
She, she's a comedian.
She's absolutely beautiful.
But, uh, they were interviewing Steve Lukather, who used to play with Toto.
By the way, we just side-check on that picture.
Please do.
Somebody found a picture on the web of, uh, Judy Garland from the Wizard of Oz holding
the dog and her thought bubble is, I miss Kansas.
I, I miss Kansas and the dogs thought bubble was I missed the reins down in Africa.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,
That's awesome.
I like, okay, you remember who put that up?
I don't remember.
I just heard them talking about it.
George DeKai.
DeKai put that up?
Yes, he did.
That dude finds some of the greatest stuff on the web, but he really does.
That's funny.
He does.
But he was saying, and a lot of people don't know this, like Steve Lukather is the one
that played all of the guitar stuff on Thriller.
All of it.
Except for Eddie Van Halen playing the solo on Beat It.
What we found out this week is that there's a, the story, as the story goes, Quincy and
Michael showed up at Eddie's house.
Remember, this is 1983.
Van Halen was really just starting to get rolling.
They show up at Eddie's house with a, with a crude version of the song.
And they asked Eddie to play a solo.
He did it for free.
He played that solo for free.
It has never made a dime off of it.
And I like, kind of like Paramount and the Bell hop.
Yeah, because he said, he said, you know what?
I mean, Quincy Jones shows up at your house.
You just do it.
Yeah, I think it's like, I, he was, I kick myself every day.
We're not asking for something.
He was, yeah, did that.
But was there any question, though, that going back to the back of the future, seeing?
You can tell.
Yeah, you're really, but no, but he'd never would admit it.
It was very, very strange.
As soon as you hear it, I was like, God, that's Eddie Van Halen.
So, so then there's this next story, which made me laugh, but did not shock me in any
way, shape or form.
Lauren Hill finding out that everything is everything.
She is now pleading guilty to not paying taxes in the years of our Lord 2005, 2006 and 2007,
where she reportedly made a total of almost $2 million.
That's it.
She, how long ago was the miseducation?
She hasn't released an album in 15 years.
You would think of a realty alone, she made more.
That's probably what she made in those three years, because by that time, the sales of
that album had died down.
And nobody was playing her stuff because she's crazy.
The song beats me.
I like this song.
Oh, this song is a jam.
I like this song.
Oh, what made this song just get grounded in my cortex?
I got it back and nothing.
What was that movie that Chris Rock made where he came, where he got killed and came back
as a white guy?
Oh, that was a funny movie.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
But every, every tiger, tiger, tiger, tiger, would you?
Remember Regina King was always saying, there's something about you.
There's something in your eyes.
It was like a running joke throughout the home in every 10 minutes.
This started playing.
They're so angry.
And I was like, I am so tired of everything is everything by the end by the time the credits
rolled.
And of course, it gets played over the credits, down to earth.
Okay.
I'm going to sing this song every time I see you now on the cowl, and I will punch you
in the head.
But she actually could face up the three years in prison and over $75,000 in fines.
She won't be in prison for three years.
She pay her $75,000.
She's married to a Marley, so you never know.
She won't be in prison for three years.
It doesn't matter who she should be out.
Just get the Fuji's reunion done and get it over with.
Stop being stubborn.
You'll make that.
You'll make that back in one night.
Nobody wants to see that anyway.
Nobody wants to see us.
Fuji's reunion?
You're out of your mind.
Her white cleft in prize, and prize is actually the one holding it up.
But still, music new releases this week.
Heck, the roots pretty much did it.
Just never broke up, sir.
Wow.
They had that big music festival a couple of weeks ago that was Quest Love, and the Angelo
and everybody was there.
It was really, really cool.
Asia.
I'm assuming this is the Roman numeral 30?
Probably.
I'm sorry.
I can't hear this song in that thing of the line in 40-year-old version of the battle.
How hard did the guy laugh when you brought that poster in to be framed?
Well, the fact that this song is playing is he's writing his fight just again.
Such a good movie.
Such a great film.
I will not play this next artist, but nearly mentioned that Chris Brown releases his new
album on Tuesday.
Thank you.
It's called Fortune.
I like to read Chris Brown's stuff.
Which apparently he will be losing to Tony Parker sometime very...
I don't know if you guys read about this.
The big brawl with him and Drake.
He's a putt Parker's a suing, isn't he?
Yeah, apparently, Tony Parker was there at the club, just hanging out with his friends.
A piece of one of the bottles scratched 99% of his cornea.
It had to be surgically removed and he may not be able to play for France and the Olympics.
Oh, he is suing the dog poop at a...
At a...
Chris Brown.
I think he's both of them, isn't he?
Chris Brown's an idiot, but...
I like his new stuff.
When he first came out...
When he first came out...
And he was just...
And he never talked?
Like, when he performed at the video musical awards a few years ago and he was up with some kind of a Michael Jackson tribute.
It was in post mortem, it was waiting.
I was like, this kid's amazing and then he opened his mouth.
I was like, I'm not...
Amazing idiot.
It's a moron.
But, Brianna's an idiot too.
Yeah, but...
I don't like her stuff that much.
But I like the new Chris Brown.
It's good.
It's catchy.
It's fun.
It's sexy.
That was awkward.
Is it a writer, release as wild ones?
Hasn't he already released like three singles from this album this year and the album's just now coming out?
I'm over him.
I like Florida.
Okay.
Is anybody gonna work with RIDA in his name?
They should have called Night RIDA.
Night RIDA?
I have the remix of Clock Strikes as the theme song.
Jimmy Van Zant.
Have kept saving all the jokes to be the voice of the kid.
Go Mike!
Releases feels like Freedom on Tuesday and Prodigy of Mob Deep releases his new album and...
I don't know that I want to say the name of this album.
Yeah, just move on.
Let's just say it's a cliche that's used kind of like Big Man on campus.
Three.
Okay, that's all I'm gonna say.
Wow.
Very awkward.
You're listening to the Clubhouse.
We are live every Saturday night.
This is our 100th weekly episode.
We're gonna talk more about that later in the show.
Also, if you miss any portion of the show, it is available almost immediately after we get off air on Archive right here on Youstream.
Tell everybody you know next week another big big show next week because it is the season finale of season two.
We have almost completed two revolutions around the sun with this show.
I don't mind if you believe that.
We're gonna talk more about that later in the show as well.
Right now, we're gonna do Person of Interest.
Person of Interest is a segment we do on this show every week where we pick a person or an entity and we discuss their greatness or lack thereof.
I was thinking today about what I wanted to do for POI because Chad was kind of busy catching up on his rest.
Which means next week you're gonna have to do both of these.
I've been doing this for a month and a half.
We carry on this thing.
And I really thought about it and I was going to do this individual in conjunction with the other individual that is leaving the same show or has left the same show.
But I thought we'd maybe take them one at a time instead of talking about them in the same POI.
Tonight I want to talk about a guy who officially did his last episode of SNL about a month and a half almost two months ago.
And if his track record in the last two weeks means anything, this brothers in problem.
He better get back to SNL.
I am referring to one Andy Sandberg.
A guy who I truly enjoy, the fine work of, on the whole.
If you're going to take the entire, what was that movie he did?
It was like a stunt man or something.
Yeah, it was a hot rod.
Hot rod.
Yeah, hot rod.
I really enjoyed it.
We went to a screening of that before that went on.
I did enjoy that.
I really enjoyed that film.
But it wasn't the star making vehicle.
They thought it was going to be fun.
Well, it wasn't very, there wasn't a lot of funding for it.
Because they kind of just kind of went, eh, whatever with it.
But this thing that he's got going right now.
That's my boy.
Which Adam Sandler's a POI on its own.
Adam Sandler's a PO something else at this point.
But I mean, we can look at his, his Andy's resume.
He did one episode of Arrested Development.
Greatness, great series.
Hot rod in 07.
He did a TV series called Human Giant that went four episodes.
He was ham in space chimps.
He was a homeless guy in Nick and Nora's infinite playlist.
I forgot that he was an I love you man, great film.
He was baby Brent in cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
He played Chad in freak Nick the musical.
Wait, he was baby in, he was the baby in, he was baby Brent in cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
Yeah, the grown up baby.
I thought he was the main character in cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
No, no, that wasn't him, that wasn't Sandberg.
I wonder who that was, it was a real fortune.
I'm pulling it up right now.
Still a good movie though.
Yeah, I like that.
They're doing a sequel.
Bill Hader.
Oh, that's right, that's right.
Which they are, I mean people do kind of get them interchangeable because those guys owned SNL.
Yeah.
Did an episode of Parks and Rack.
He was in the movie Friends with Benefits with the Cunus and the Timberlake.
Still haven't seen that.
Which is a good movie.
He was in the movie What's Your Number with the Anna Paris.
He was something he called Celeste and Jesse forever.
He's going to be in Hotel Transylvania.
He's doing grown ups too.
So he's just hitched his wagon to Sandberg.
I'm kind of a very, very, very concerned with the post SNL path of Andy Sandberg.
That's kind of the post.
That's not going to help you.
That's not going to help you.
That's kind of the post SNL anybody though.
I mean, yeah, Sandler had his couple two or three goods and then they all kind of went to crap.
What was the last Sandler movie you liked?
Yeah, everybody liked the last Sandler movie.
The last Sandler movie.
51st dates is about the only thing I could think of.
Yeah, but that wasn't typical Sandler either.
Exactly.
If you look at SNL Sandler, you're talking Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, that's your typical Sandler.
Those are probably the only two.
Let me look at Sandler's deal.
Thank you, IMTV.
I mean, you got to evolve your car.
You don't need to evolve it, you know.
Let's start.
Same thing with Chris Rock.
Let's start recently and go backwards for a Sandler.
Hotel Transylvania, I'm actually interested in it.
That's my boy.
No.
Jack and Jill.
No.
He was the monkey and zookeeper.
No.
Just go with it.
Not awful.
Don't even know what that is.
I don't want him and the antichristin.
We should have pretend to be his wife.
Oh, yeah, thank you.
I wanted to see that.
No.
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.
Oh, grownups.
Terrible.
Funny people.
Didn't see it.
Never saw it.
It was okay.
Bedtime stories.
Kind of cute for kids.
I'll give him you don't mess with the Zohan because I was entertained by it.
I had no interest.
But not great.
Okay, at best.
I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry.
No.
No.
Rain over me.
That's the movie he did with Cheetle.
Click was terrible.
No.
The remake of the young longest yard, which was terrible.
I thought you liked that.
It was okay.
Spanglish was okay.
Fifty first dates.
That was decent.
It was a pretty good movie.
There you go.
And when did that come out?
Oh, like, oh, four.
Oh, four.
Yeah, almost 10 years ago.
Yeah, well, let's, let's.
We still haven't gotten to the last great Samler movie.
Fifty first dates was like the first movie.
Cheetle.
Really?
Wow.
What did that give you a bias?
Yeah, the movie still stuck.
Anger management.
Uh, you know, that was.
That was okay.
It was, it was Jack.
Jack made the movie.
Yeah.
Eight crazy nights.
No.
Mr. D's.
No.
No.
Punstruck love was terrible.
Horrible.
The animal was Schneider.
No.
Little Nikki.
I think that's well documented.
Big daddy was terrible.
So now you're back to the water boy in 98.
But I would even a big fan of water boy.
So I love the water boy.
Okay.
Water boy had its moments, but I was not.
Let's keep going.
Dirty work.
No.
The wedding singer.
Yeah.
Great.
Okay.
Okay.
We can stop the wedding here.
What is it?
Sixteen years since the four people on this show can agree on a great Adam Samler movie.
That was Julia Gulley.
That was one of my Facebook status as a couple, like a couple of weeks ago when this movie came out.
I said, 1998.
The last year Adam Samler was relevant.
Debate it.
Yeah.
Well, we've done it on the show.
We've now proven it.
Because before that, you've got bullet proof with Damon Wains.
That was terrible.
You do realize that T.O.Y. has gone from Sandberg to Sandler now.
Well, I think what we're doing now is we're parallel.
It's kind of like Sandberg.
This is what you're, this is where you're headed.
This is what you're staring in the face, right?
I mean, if you look, Sandberg is this generation's Sandler.
I'll agree with that.
I will definitely agree with that.
Well played.
I mean, he is.
I mean, he's got the music stick, which is what Sandler had.
I think he's got more musical.
Oh, he's got more musical talent.
There's the lonely island stuff.
It's great.
No, that's funny.
He wants to be what Sandler wants.
Shuttle neck and Chandler is.
Although I thought the first album was better.
The second one is good.
But he's still this generation's Sandler.
And I think he's destined to become Sandler.
He's destined to become what Sandler is now.
Now what Sandler was then.
I forgot that he was on the Cosby show.
Sandler.
Yes, he was.
He was the...
He was the...
Yeah, he was the old buddy.
And remember, he was always popping up on remote control.
Remote control.
I never saw that.
Studboy.
That MTV...
Please, that show.
I didn't get to watch MTV as a kid.
Oh, remote control was greatness.
It was a game show.
That's where Colin Quinn got started, too.
Where it took place in...
Ken Oberg was the host.
And it allegedly took place in his mom's basement.
Where all he did was watch TV.
And there would be three people in easy chairs.
And the way they would pick categories is with a remote.
They would click on the channel that had the category they talked in.
And when you got eliminated,
like you got sucked back in by the demon.
And then the person at the end, the bonus round,
they would sit in a craftmatic adjustable bed.
And there were nine TV somewhere upside down,
somewhere sideways.
And they showed videos.
And you had to name the artist in each video.
If you got all nine, you got like a car or something.
It was a great...
Bring that show back.
One of my favorite parts of that show,
though, was a snack break.
Yeah.
They would just dump snacks on them.
They're like dress cereal and chips and cheetos and stuff.
Like, this is genius.
And who was the girl that was really big on that?
Well, you had a couple of them.
Not Marisol, but the other one that...
Curry Word.
That was on that show.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Whatever.
I haven't a Marisol.
1987.
Yeah.
It was when remote control...
A hip happening game show.
Wow.
That was seven.
They made an NES game out.
I didn't even have cable back then.
So it was like...
I didn't...
I only had it for a few years.
But the cable box is...
Collin Quinn was the announcer.
Samler was on it.
Curry Word.
Rick Rossner.
Was the cow holder?
Now put Rick Ross on that?
No, Rick Rossner.
Holy...
Alicia Coppola did one episode as the hostess.
Of remote control.
That...
The Coppola's...
Yes!
Wow.
Then I brought Dennis Leary was also on that show.
Oh my god.
I forgot about that.
Because Dennis Leary was like one of the voices of MTV Baggins.
He was.
I think you hear me knocking and I think I'm coming in.
Yep.
So Adam, Andy Sandberg.
Check yourself.
This is not the career path.
You want to follow?
Yeah.
Consider this your intervention.
More of an intervention than a COI.
We're trying to save you from yourself, sir.
Do more in my pants videos.
So like, poop in my pants.
I do like the moment I went stuff.
I could listen.
It's really funny.
I love on my boat.
Let us move on to the NHL talk.
Very little bit of NHL talk.
Because the only thing of note that happened this week.
And it's a pretty big note.
And John, this is your beloved Pittsburgh Penguins.
Oh, you're the front.
I'm your Bruins guy.
I just want to say that.
Sydney Crosby gets 12 years, a hundred and four and a half million dollars.
I mean, why?
Great player, but can't stay healthy to save you.
Yeah, I mean, the guys, what did you play like a handful of games in the last two years?
Yeah.
There's no way this guy's going to reach gritsky numbers if he keeps on getting.
I like Sydney Crosby.
Oh, I don't get me wrong.
He's one of the greatest things to have it as a sport, but great.
Great kid because Ovechkin's a D bag and everybody knows it.
But Crosby's known as a guy that's a quality guy.
But very crazy.
You're holding.
I'm burdened copy of that because you might dig it.
He's very Jason Marassish.
Talking about the great Jimmy meet him.
Christian artist.
Good stuff.
I mean, I mean, what else do you say?
This is a huge risk for the Pittsburgh penguins that tied the hitch their wagon to this guy for that long for that kind of money.
I mean, didn't they just recently get out of financial problems?
Because it's only out on you.
Yeah.
Well, them in Phoenix.
No, Phoenix was the one that was in all the trouble.
Why didn't it?
Does it the league own the Phoenix guy?
Yeah, the league.
Conflict of interest.
Just like the Hornets were owned by the NBA.
That was a conflict of interest.
Remember, Cuban was actually flirting with the idea of buying Pittsburgh.
He wanted to.
They wouldn't let him.
But that's that's the main thing.
You actually want to buy the penguins before he bought the Mavericks.
Because you got free agency starting up in the NHL right now.
So, you know, you got the big free agents out there.
Like, for you say, from Andy Jersey.
And they even saying, Brodore is going to be testing the free agent market.
And John texted me the other day.
Roberto Luongo maybe returned to my beloved Florida Panthers.
Really?
I'm good with that.
They signed, well, they signed that back up that they had Schneider.
Schneider?
Schneider.
Yeah, but you know what?
You look up his numbers.
He was like, I was 28 and one last year.
Nice.
So, Luongo's starting to, you know, get a little up there.
And he's the goalie of the future out there in Vancouver.
So, they're looking to get rid of Roberto Luongo.
So, we will see how that works out.
I just think hitch and hitch.
That much money to him for that long.
That's.
I hope the reward is worth the rent.
Are you ever really healed from a concussion?
I believe the answer to that is new.
Ask anybody that has ever had a concussion.
They may not remember that you asked.
Except for Ricky Williams.
Because Ricky Williams sees no relation between football and concussions.
Because he's too doped up out of his head to see that.
He's too high on a weed.
He's rolling the doobies.
Okay.
Feel better.
You always do the clubhouse.
We are live each and every Saturday night.
Make sure you like our Facebook page at the clubhouse podcast.
Please put the word podcast on the end.
You can follow us on Twitter at clubhouse show.
Follow me on Twitter at yes.
That Rob Irvin that is spelled E-R-V-I-N.
Really showing your age with that last one.
I am.
I am at.
I am at chat in PG-69.
You're killing me, Brent.
I am at SFL native 72.
At P-W-E-P-L-E-S-A-R-T.
To the.
I'm sorry.
There's no two.
Okay.
P to the E-Z-O.
No, I didn't even work.
No, moving on.
We're going to do a little bit of basketball talk.
There's really only one story to talk about.
And it's kind of a big deal.
Larry Bird.
Retiring as VP of basketball operations with the Indiana Pacers.
There were rumors earlier in the week that he is having health problems.
He is denying that.
Like what?
They were just saying that he was having health problems.
Nobody was being specific.
That inside sources were saying and he was saying they're full of crap.
So.
Well, you got free agency starting up in the NBA, too.
And then they had the draft of it.
Nobody cares about the NBA draft.
Missed the.
Missed the.
Did you see that guys trying to trademark the Unibrow?
Fear the brow.
But some company over in Kentucky is already selling those up to the brow shirts, so.
Of course, Calipari has to get face hard.
Make sure when you get in and they got him on camera.
Did he was just joking around with the guys?
It's like, okay, make sure when they call your name.
Hug your mama.
Hug your dad.
Then hug me.
I like Calipari.
I mean, is he dirty?
Probably.
He's.
He's entertaining if nothing else.
I've never had anything against him.
I'm glad.
You know, I've got to see him finally win a national championship this past year.
So.
Taking over.
Patina.
Any day.
That's why I've got an NBA talk.
So let's go right in the movie talk.
I just smacked his head on the microphone.
You just put that there.
It's okay.
Let us start with box office numbers.
Remember, since we've moved the show to Saturday nights, we don't give you last weekend's box office totals
because they're old.
We give you last night's box office totals dropping out of the top 10.
It had to happen sometime.
The Avengers has dropped out of the top 10.
But I do want to share a little bit of something with you as it pertains to the Avengers.
The Avengers released as we all know on May 4th.
This past Monday, June 25th is the first time since the Avengers release didn't make over a million dollars a day.
God bless.
But it also passed another milestone this week.
Yes, it did as it grossed over 600 million at the domestic box office.
And deservedly so.
Amen.
Let's just go ahead and throw it out there.
Number 11, 1.248 million dollars for a 57 day total of 603.331 million dollars worldwide.
Wow, 1.5 billion.
One of the most satisfying cinematic experiences of the last decade.
And setting up something we're going to talk about later in this segment that I am personally excited about.
I informed Brent when he got here and his eyes got about a big around those frisbees.
Chad when I told him he had a question mark above his head.
But we're going to go into that here in just a little while.
Number 10, last night making 1.3 million dollars.
So your entire top 10 it is summertime now.
Everything's making over a million dollars on Friday.
Snow White and the Huntsman has a 29 day total of 142.5 million dollars.
That's respectable.
I'm out.
I'll watch it when it comes on HBO.
Yeah, I'll get on the D.D.
Sounder by the way.
What's up?
I don't have it on me.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Since we just got down with NBA talk, this is kind of significant.
Although the dollar amount isn't attached to it.
That is our breaking new sounder.
We go live across the desk.
So you're your correspondent, Chad.
The clippers have say that they've attend to a 5-year extension for Blake Griffin.
Good.
They're not giving a dollar amount, but they said they're...
Oh, they're paying him.
They signed up a 5-year extension with the LA.
Okay.
Okay.
Back to where we were.
Number 9.
Number 9.
You know, I used that reference this week in one of my training classes and nobody knew what I was talking about.
Number 9.
Making $1.35 million on Friday for a 22-day total of $114.7 million for Prometheus.
I want to see this.
Yes, suppose you haven't seen this.
I'm a twister.
I know, Stan Lee's people, and I got to see Kevin Smith for free, and I know everybody.
What does that have to do with him having time to see Prometheus?
Yeah.
Somebody would have to go somewhere with you.
Somebody would have taken him by now.
That's all.
Fox would have paid for this ticket.
Fox would have paid for your ticket to go see it.
Name dropper.
Not that connected yet.
I like to show you something, my close personal friend.
Shut up.
I would have thought I would have made more money, though.
I would, too.
I really thought this thing was going to be just...
But there's a lot of what I've been hearing is a lot of...
I can't be able to say this, kids...
...that are going to see this.
Makes me feel so old.
Welcome to it, sir.
But they're like, I'm just confused.
Have you seen Alien?
No, what's Alien?
Alien versus Predator?
No, not America.
It's not Alien versus Predator.
That's crap.
I was talking about Alien.
What you know what he should have done?
A lot of me do to introduce you to my friend Stan Lee.
Shut, he can't say anything.
Shut, he can't say anything.
You're not living dead.
And that doesn't even make any sense.
Why would Stan...
First of all, I've only met briefly met Stan Lee once.
But why?
I guess I mean, that's the rest of us.
I meant Stan Lee.
Why would Stan Lee explain?
That's one more thing.
All the rest of us come by.
I would Stan Lee explain Ridley Scott's Prometheus and Alien.
Because he's Stan the Man, and he can explain anything.
He ends all of his senses.
But he did do.
He did do an intro for your god, Kevin Smith at the Kevin Smith podcast.
I've got the interview thing.
Marvel's music monsters.
I've got the DVD for that.
But I was saying when I saw Kevin Smith, he did the thing.
There are so many names on the floor of this studio right now.
I'm sorry.
When I saw...
How is my story supposed to explain seeing Kevin Smith?
Completely sentenced before...
I saw him for free.
And I did see him for free.
I could say I was in the same room with Stan Lee.
Yeah, well, Adele's Comic Con.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
So I could say that.
Yeah.
But you didn't get a...
No, I've never met him.
You didn't get a personally escorted tour into a symposium with him.
That's all I'm saying.
No.
You could take a ride in a stand-movie.
I really don't like that I have to be PC and Agamise and...
Before midnight on this show right now.
I'm so much Whittier when I can cut.
I'm surprised you have any of your tongue left from having to chew it off.
But anyway.
No, Prometheus, I want to see you.
So bad.
That Brett's going to just sit in the back of the room and shut up.
And what can I tell you?
What's really sad though?
I've been completely...
Did you ever met Stan Lee?
Well, there's that.
Did you didn't get to see Stan for free?
That list is long and distinguished.
But...
The fact that...
You know what Prometheus...
No, but you know what Prometheus on Encore next Saturday night?
What?
The girl with a dragon tattoo.
Oh, but I still haven't seen it.
I haven't seen it, but there's reasons why I haven't seen it.
But he was talking that movie.
Oh, the book was so great.
I'm like, I'm going to go see this opening day.
It's going to be on cable next week.
But there's things in that movie that is hard for me to watch.
Oh, because it's subject matter.
Well, it's in the book.
Yeah, I mean, I don't read.
But...
He's a comic book artist, but he does it well.
That's why he's an artist.
He doesn't read.
It's so hard to write it.
He just draws a pretty big...
It's so hard for me to get through my scripts.
It's ridiculous.
Retarded.
But no, there's just...
I mean, there's certain like...
There's certain shows that I'm sure are very good.
Like SVU and these things that I can't watch because the subject matter...
It just gets a little too close.
It just...
It...
It hurts just to...
You know what I mean?
And SVU's getting darker every year.
Like, it's like...
How can we completely work your entire central nervous system...
More than we did last year.
Yeah, I know.
Because, uh, Julie watches it all the time.
So I watch it with her.
And I'm just...
I love that scene.
And I do love...
Some of these episodes, I'm like...
Really?
Yeah, I mean...
Being a dad, especially when the kid...
The thing kind of comes into play in some aspects.
Right.
It's just...
Yeah.
Right there with you.
So I think that's why I haven't seen the Dragon Tattoo yet.
Well, I'm...
I don't want to read the next book until I see this movie.
Because the Swedish movie was terrible.
Because you...
I would have to read this sometimes.
Um...
I think you can get a dubbed version of it.
Oh, but...
It's like working in...
Bed...
Kung Fu.
Yeah, that's true.
Number eight...
Moonrise Kingdom?
It's the same team that did...
Life Aquatic in the Royal Tenenbaum.
Okay.
Number seven...
The romantic comedy People Like Us, if you want to call it,
It makes a comedy.
Opening this weekend with $1.4 million on Friday.
Number six...
A movie that's dropping like a stone.
And I'm very sad about this.
Making $1.825 million on Friday for an 8-day total of $24.9 million.
For Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.
Yeah.
I am so sick of people.
Ooh, we're just running out of ideas.
It's a book, people.
It's based on a book by the guy that wrote Pride and Prejudice in Zombies.
Do your homework.
I don't see.
But you gotta go...
You have to go into a movie like that going...
This is not gonna be redeeming.
Yeah, just have an Oscar with it.
This is...
Ha ha.
Somebody came up with...
Abe Lincoln fighting vampires and this...
And it looks awesome!
And how is that not original?
It does.
So I would have thought to put that those two things together.
I mean, it's not a sequel, it's not a remake.
But see, this is the danger of the internet.
Just like when they had the big announcement about the Supreme Court the other day.
Right after it happened, one of my friends on Facebook put a big picture up that Sean Bean from Game of Thrones
and it says, be forewarned.
Today, everyone on the internet will be a constitutional law expert.
Ha ha ha.
And I'm like, that's exactly it!
That is exactly it!
It's just like, people just go off, have cocked on everything and it's just like, no, do your homework.
But Julie's read the book and she said the book was awesome.
I haven't talked to anybody that read the book that didn't like it.
And she's, you know, we would have already seen the movie.
And she's also read Pride and Prejudice in Zombies too, hasn't she?
Pride and Prejudice probably, I don't think Zombies know.
And there's a sense of sensibility in something, isn't there?
There might be.
I'm waiting for George Washington Weirwolf killer.
I'm in!
I'm in!
Actually, somebody said, wouldn't George Washington be a better suitable thing because of the
wouldn't teeth?
That's a darn good play, sir!
Well played!
Just fight some vampires!
Just fight them!
Take some off like ninja stars!
Ha ha ha ha!
Wow, that would have been cool!
Number five, making $3.57 million last night for a 22-day total of $171.8 million
for Madagascar 3 Europe's most wanted.
But you've got kids though, you almost have to.
No, I don't.
You know, the girls have no interest in this?
They have a mom too.
Ha ha ha ha ha!
Game set!
And I believe we have a winner!
How are the girls by the way?
They're good.
Good game, big.
Number four, making $10.25 million on its opening night.
Because the Mayans may not have been wrong.
Medea's witness protection.
My kid was one of them.
Really, she went last night?
She in the accident.
But I have yet to see a Medea film.
I can't bring myself to it.
I look at a picture of a military drag with a goofy smile.
But I'm going to say something.
He's playing Alex Cross in the reboot of that.
And I saw the poster for it.
And he looks kind of bad, eh?
Like, and Matthew Fox is playing the serial killer?
I'm like, you know what?
Oh my god, he looks freaky.
Have you seen this thing?
No.
It's a picture of Matthew Fox, where it looks like he's in a MMA fight.
It looks like he's in an octagon.
He's like almost bald and just ripped.
Yeah, ripped and lean.
And he's just killing this dude in the ring.
He's playing a serial killer in the Alex Cross reboot.
And I think there's going to be a lot of backlash to it.
Like, well, it was Mark and Freeman.
And it's just not the same thing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I'm waiting for a trailer.
Because the one sheet looks great.
It really does.
But I like to in Star Trek.
So this, okay.
So this is basically Morgan Freeman character from Kiss to Girls.
Alex Cross.
Yeah.
Number three, the bronze medal last night with $10.3 to $8 million for an eight day total
of $108 million for the Buena Vista distributed brave.
I want to see it.
I'm bad.
I want to see this thing.
I've heard it's amazing.
We talked about this before.
It's Pixar.
It's got to be barring the cars to.
Yeah.
Either one of the cars really.
Oh, enjoy the first cars.
Nothing.
But brave looks.
Plus, you got Craig Ferguson.
And Billy Connelly involved in this.
How is this not going to be hysterically funny?
Yeah, it's going to be good.
In the silver medal category.
With $19.41 million last night opening.
Oh, boy.
But it didn't take first place.
Magic Mike came in second place last night proving there is a shred of humanity left.
Because beating it by almost a million dollars last night.
Because it's also on about about 300 more screens making $20.2 million.
Ted?
Yes, sir.
Thank God.
I was praying that the teddy bear would beat the chip and Dale's dancers.
Yeah.
But you know what?
Who knows what's going to happen.
It's already nice.
Yeah.
We won't see tonight's numbers.
Here's a thing though.
Here's a thing though.
There's a lot of horny women out there.
But in the whole US, if you think about it, all the US, they did show girls too.
Every male.
They actually did.
Oh, I never saw it.
I should have looked at it.
I think I went straight to DVD.
I'll look for it though.
That's even better.
I'm going to fast forward rewind.
Every male in the US can go.
See.
Showgirls 2 or 3 or 4.
But not every female can go because the ones in Utah aren't allowed.
Showgirls 2 pennies.
PENY apostrophe S from heaven came out in 2011.
Oh, dear God.
If Jesse Spano is not in the second one, I don't want to say it.
She is not.
It stars a rena riffle.
I don't know that name.
She's good looking.
She was in the original.
Any girl in a riffle?
I'm out.
Yeah, just something.
You should see the character she's playing in a movie called The Trouble with Perry.
What else does she do?
She was in the first one.
She's apparently very prominent in the Let Late Night cable film industry.
Oh, like the skin of Max Moose.
There's a lot.
She's like done a lot of these.
Can we break down showgirls on a molecular level at some point?
There's no need to.
Awesome.
Awesome.
But there's nobody in this that I could even, like whose name I even recognize.
Look, come on.
People like Lenora Claire.
Paula Labbartis.
Shelley Michelle.
Glenn Plummer.
Who plays James Jimmy Smith?
Wow.
But it did happen.
It did happen.
We found out early on Friday, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are doing for somebody finally paid her ransom.
Yeah.
She and she filed.
She filed.
And he's hoping that this will be very, very, a very amicable divorce, very smooth.
And apparently she filed in New York because she wants full custody of the kids.
Yes.
Take it.
Well, isn't that what he gave to Nicole Kidman too?
So who's the next young starlet?
He's going to sink his claws into.
Who are the Scientology picks?
Yeah.
Whoever's Z-New picks for Katie Holmes goes to Oprah's old studio finds that couch and sets it on fire.
Here's my thing.
And I said this last night.
I don't know if it was you and I that discussed this chat or not.
But I am putting an over under at September 1st before Katie, before Katie Holmes goes completely Paris,
Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, nuts.
Yeah, it was me.
I'll be okay with that.
September 1st is the overrunner.
I mean, she could even be in the dark night because of this conversation.
Because she's going to turn all mel Gibson freedom!
I'll be okay with that.
I'm waiting for the vision.
She may turn in the other form of mel Gibson too.
But, but you know that Tom Cruise is a black job, but I do like him as an actor.
I'll watch him in anything.
5.2.
I'll watch him in anything.
He has a great actor.
But I'll watch him in anything he comes out with.
We did have to say a Viacone Dioz to a Hollywood legend this week by the name of Nora Efron.
Great writer, great director.
She directed sleepless in Seattle.
She directed the Steve Martin vehicle mixed nuts.
She directed you've got mail.
Although she also directed the remake of Bewitched with Chad's anti-hero in it.
And her latest, her last directorial was that Julie and Julia with the...
Amy Adams.
She has a very prolific writer.
She wrote Silk Wood.
She wrote when Harry Met Sally.
She wrote my blue heaven.
All the movies she directed.
She also wrote the hanging up, which I believe had died.
Didn't Diane Keaton direct that?
I couldn't tell you.
Just a good career.
She was a great lady.
Yeah, that was directed by Diane Keaton.
I had Diane Keaton, Meg Ryan, Lisa Kudrow, and Walter Bath on it.
They hanging up.
So we wanted to send our deepest condolences to her family and friends and the Viacone Dioz, Miss Nora Efron.
Rumors are now circulating with the Born Legacy releasing in about a month and a half.
They've pushed it back a week.
That they're already talking about the next born film and actually talks of Damon returning to work with Renner.
I like Jamie Renner, but I'm totally out on a new born movie.
But I kind of like what they're doing with it.
Yeah.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the way it worked in the books.
It was a program of multiple Jason Bournes.
Yeah, I love how they opened the tagline with there never was just one.
Okay.
And they do acknowledge, they do acknowledge Damon in the trailer.
You see him in like a little news piece where they've got a picture of him.
I'm kind of in.
I have never seen any of these movies.
Are you serious?
I've never seen one of them.
I enjoyed one, two, and three.
And then I'm like, okay.
What I liked about the last one was that the Born Supremacy.
That's the last one.
Legacy Supremacy.
You got the point identity, the Born Supremacy.
Yeah, I did any legacy.
Oh, Born Oral, I made them.
Ultimately.
I made them.
Yeah, that was really good.
It kind of watched like a graphic novel, which I liked about it.
I'm going to go see the new one, because it looks pretty cool.
And I'll reserve judgment until I see it.
I'll probably wait until I can get it on DVD or.
I think Renner kind of sold you with Hawkeye, so.
I mean, I like Renner.
I've always liked Renner.
It's not just just from Avengers.
I've always been a fan of Charter.
I like Renner since Swat.
Great flick.
Very underrated film.
Yes, very.
With the great L.O. Cool J.
They were singing the song.
Just made me happy.
So we have an official date now.
Speaking of Hawkeye.
Waiting on.
There we go.
That's loud.
Great song too.
Can't wait to own this movie.
Mark September 25th on your calendar, because that is when the Avengers
will be available on DVD and Blu-ray.
I'm pre-ordering this thing on Amazon.
As well as the Super Mega set.
That's the one I'm pre-ordering.
With all the.
They're calling it.
They're calling it the.
I can't remember off.
I don't want to get this wrong.
So I want to say it right.
So let me look it up on Amazon.
Plus I like this song.
Listen to this song from it.
Isn't it Avengers assembled phase one or something like that?
Now, have you all seen the new picture that was released from Iron Man 3?
Yes.
With Iron Patriot.
Yes, I have.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One Avengers assemble.
They haven't showed yet what the packaging is.
It's kind of like a curtain.
It's kind of pulled back a little bit.
But I think I'm with you now, Chad.
It does look like it's going to be a briefcase.
What I'm hoping is that the movies are in the Cosmic Juice.
Yes.
Or like a Hallibur.
No, like a Hallibur.
But I think the briefcase.
And inside of it, I'm hoping the movies are in the Cosmic Juice.
That would be awesome.
That would be red.
Because like I said, the press that's already been set.
Because they did that with Blade Runner.
When they released the definitive edition of Blade Runner.
Oh, really?
You could pre-order it on Amazon right now for $152.99.
That's a lot of money.
And that is Blu-ray 10 discs.
See, I don't have Blu-ray.
So with an exclusive extra disc with all the features on it.
Thought you had a PS3.
No.
Thought you did.
That'd be the way to go.
If you want to get a Blu-ray player, that'd be the way to go.
I draw comics.
I can't afford a PS3.
But right now, if you do it now, they'll ship it to you free.
And it's 66% off the list price.
List price is 2.19.
Wow.
So.
But worth it.
Oh, absolutely.
Especially because I like how they're doing it this being.
They're calling it phase one.
So when they do the next set, it's not going to be,
oh, since you bought this one, now you can buy this.
I think they're going to release them in, you know.
I think they'll be cool.
Speeding.
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
They've got to speed up the production of these movies, though, because for every movie they have,
these guys signed on for, they don't hurry up and get them gone.
Like, they're going to be 60.
Yeah.
Well, Avengers 2 is set for 2014.
Really?
That quick.
Mm-hmm.
Pretty sure.
Let me verify that for you.
Because they've already had, they've already got the logos.
The logos look exactly the same.
Well, yeah.
But...
Yeah, they just got to speed up.
Because there's a Thor 2 in the works, too.
That they're already...
That's coming out, what?
13 or 14, I think.
I think it's set for next year.
They're already...
Like I said, they're already filming...
The IMDB doesn't say for sure.
They're already filming Iron Man 3.
Iron Man 3 is in production right now.
Thor 2 goes into production.
That's coming out next.
And we'll touch on this when we get to new releases.
But I think there's a...
There is a crossover.
That's what I'm hearing, too.
So something I'm very excited about.
Once I finally had to give in that that was Thanos at the end of Avengers.
It was.
It was.
Not the scroll King.
No, Thanos.
I know.
I gave in.
I gave in.
I had to beat him over the head with that, too.
I had to hear it from Jocelyn before I admit it.
How'd you not know it was gold and purple?
It's...
It looks like the scroll King.
Yeah, but the scrolls and the Thanos have the same chin.
It's just, he's purple.
They're green.
I thought the Cree were green.
The scrolls were red.
No.
Scrolls are green.
Cree were green, too, but the skulls are green.
Okay.
You're the artist.
Yeah.
But they have...
Disney has greenlit a Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Which I'm incredibly excited about.
Because if you're going to do the Infinity Gauntlet.
Which seems to be what we're teasing here.
Oh yeah.
You have to at least introduce Adam Warlock in some ways.
Yeah.
You see, they've already done them on Avengers' mighty...
Yes, they did.
Which Chad was watching that with me.
And Chad did not know who that was.
And I'm like, dude, really?
For those of you that don't know who the Guardians of the Galaxy are,
there's a group that is formed by Adam Warlock.
Adam Warlock, spoiler alert.
If you don't know, I don't care.
But Adam Warlock is the guy that has to take on Thanos to get the Infinity Gauntlet off of him.
He has one of the gems embedded in his head because of it.
Right.
I'm totally on board with this.
Totally on board with this.
But my only problem is going to be if you're going to do the Infinity Gauntlet,
you almost have to do it animated.
Because that production alone...
You think about all the people involved in that thing?
No, you don't have to.
Not today.
But you think about all the characters involved in that thing?
No.
You don't have to.
Not today.
I mean, you can still...
What are the greatest cool stories ever made?
But you can still do cosmic...
Life.
I mean, real life.
Yeah.
I mean, Green Lantern was a bad movie.
But...
I liked Green Lantern.
You can still do...
I really like the animated series are doing now.
Well, the animated is good, but I'm talking about the actual live action.
I liked it.
I didn't mind it.
It was fun, but it was a bad movie.
But you can still do cool cosmic.
I mean, you can...
I mean, we did cosmic.
We've done cosmic and Thor a little bit.
You know, so you can do it right.
I'm just...
I'm looking forward to it.
I'm very much in.
Because I'm a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan.
I'm a big Adam Warlock fan.
Can we just do a silver circle movie right?
And I'm happy.
Yeah, that's not going to happen.
That's locked in a Sony, I think.
It's screwed that up so bad.
I think the Fantastic Four is all locked in at Sony.
They can't do anything with it.
Well, they're also talking.
There's talk of Disney wanting to do...
Where is that?
That's what I was just looking for.
They're wanting to...
They've announced their first...
Marvel animated.
Marvel animated.
There was another team that I was even less familiar with.
They were going really obscure.
Yeah, but...
I mean, I knew people that were on the team.
What?
I'm trying to look it up for you.
I know, I know.
I should have...
It's Big Hero 6.
I don't know.
It's a team that's got Sunfire, Silver Samurai,
Go Goats, Tamango, Honey Lemon, Hero, Takachito, and Bimax.
I know, everybody...
So it sounds like they're going to do an anime.
Yeah, they would have to.
But I mean, I know who Silver Samurai is.
Well, yeah.
Well, they're actually talking about...
Well, they're talking about him being in the Wolverine.
There's talk of them using that character in the next...
Silver Samurai.
They're doing a new Wolverine movie.
Yeah, they're doing a sequel.
Oh, God bless, no.
Dude, it'll be out next year.
They're talking like this is all going to take place in Japan.
Yeah.
That era.
I'm in on that.
They have to do...
They have to do a new Wolverine movie
the way they did first class.
I agree.
First class.
You cannot do it...
X-Men Origins style.
But see, I didn't...
The only thing I hated about X-Men Origins
was what they did to Deadpool.
Outside of that, I didn't think it was...
No, it was...
I enjoyed it.
They weren't done the way...
Well, you can look at...
This was my introduction to Wolverine, though,
was the Japanese feudal Japan era.
Yeah, but...
All that X-Men and X-Men Origins,
that was all pre-marble entertainment.
Once Marvel entertainment takes their hands on it,
then...
Which I don't think they ever will.
Because I think Fox is going to keep it alive
as long as they possibly can.
Oh, yeah.
And Sony's going to do the same thing.
And that's the same thing with Spider-Man.
That's why in the new...
And we'll talk about this in a new movie,
you don't have Osborne.
You don't have that because he's locked in over Sony.
But I'm looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy.
Uh, congratulations to Steve Harvey.
Because apparently there is a...
Think like a man's sequel is now in the works?
I missed the first one.
Kevin Hart's involved on Good.
Because I like him.
And Steve Harvey's local too.
Yeah.
Seeing his house.
And did you hear the music in the background?
Yeah, and I've got goosebumps on my goosebumps.
Dark Knight Rises has already sold 100,000 tickets.
Okay, so I may get crucified upside down for this.
Uh-oh.
I want to see this movie.
So do I.
But...
I'm not as stoked as I was for the first two.
Do you not listen to the show?
Yeah, he's the same way, friend.
Here's my thing.
I was completely stoked until May 4th.
Because the Avengers has set the bar so high.
This is what my worry is.
And this is well documented on this show.
Yeah, yeah.
And my other problem is, okay, so I can get past the voice.
Thanks for that, man.
And that never bothered me.
But now I got Bane.
I've seen the trailers and I can't understand where they are.
They cleaned it up.
Yeah, they cleaned it up.
Yeah.
I mean, it looks really looks good.
And I think they're going to do Bane in a cool way.
They're not going to do it all.
Can't be like the other Batman movies.
I think...
I think Christopher Nolan's got a good handle on it.
I'm just...
But I want to know the kid.
What's the kid's name that's in this thing?
Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Joseph Gordon Levitt.
I want to know why he's in this movie.
Yeah, there's a lot of...
I want to know why this person's in the film.
Because he's a big name.
But have you seen the Billboard art for this thing?
No.
You know how the poster shows like it's like the city's crumbling
in the symbols of the...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The Billboard art is like somebody's like punched a hole in the Billboard in the shape
of the bat.
It looks cool.
So that's why I'm wondering if he takes over the whole Bane breaking the bat.
Well, there's Bane.
Well, there's Bane.
Well, there's Bane.
There's Bane some viral stuff out there right now that one of the viral websites is showing
correspondence between Lucius Fox and Bruce Wayne.
And one of the letters that he sends to Bruce is the board's getting concerned about your
projects.
They don't know if they can continue to support this.
And basically, Bruce sends him a letter back saying, as of today, the program shut down.
Well, this is going to be the last one.
I mean, this is it.
Yeah, this is it.
And for those of you that don't know, look it up.
Your local AMC theater, or for us studio movie grill, 25 bucks.
They are doing all three films back to back to back.
I have decided I'm going to take the day off work.
I'm going to go do this on the 19th.
I'm doing this.
We're not surprised.
25.
You're out of anybody.
You would be the one.
20 because I debate.
I want to take another day off to do something geeky, but this is my leader.
Yeah, this is this is I have to do this.
I don't have a choice.
Like if I don't, I might be deported if I don't do this.
But if you if you go to AMC, you can actually do.
They are doing it with IMAX.
Which I don't know if I'm going to pay that much money.
The 25 bucks, it starts, it's not going to start at 11.30 in the morning.
It's going to start at 6 o'clock at night.
If I can high-tail it, do you think I'd be able to meet up with you for the midnight screening
of the last one?
You might.
But I don't know if I could save you a seat for that long.
Well, it's at the SMG.
But I'm just saying, if the marathon starts at 6, I don't know if I can hold you a seat.
I sure would like to give because we didn't get to see the Avengers together and it's
been sticking to my car.
I believe we're booking this one because you want to be on mandatory overtime this time.
Yeah.
We're booking this one.
I will go a second time that weekend.
And you have that now recorded on this show.
I'm putting that out there.
This will be just like Batman begins was, this will probably be multiple viewings in
the same way.
Because we've seen the other two together.
Yeah.
We'll probably catch a late showing after work Friday night.
I don't care.
And now Brent, I'm wishing I could cuss on the air.
But I'm with you though, Brent.
I am concerned.
I have concerns about this because the Avengers was so awesome, but you've been predicting
an ill win before the mind blowing just enjoy the movie.
Don't compare it to the Avengers because you're a big batman fan.
I'm a fan too, but it's going to be a good movie.
It's not so much.
It's not so much that you have to compare it to the Avengers.
You also have to compare it to the dark night.
And that thing set a bar pretty high too.
It did.
Yeah.
If you want to compare it to anything compared to the dark night, don't compare it.
And good luck with that with ledger not being around.
Yeah, exactly.
They could bring him back.
I still can't believe that as of, you know, I brought back two parts of the budget.
We knew how we do now have a budget on it estimated to 250 million.
But as of the MTV movie awards three weeks ago, it wasn't done yet.
They're still working on it.
And I'm trying to.
I mean, right now I don't even see a running time on it.
You know, it's far going to be at least 225.
Well, they're estimating two and a half, but I don't see a running time yet.
Oh, no, here it is.
This is 245.
Oh, that's a long, a hundred and sixty five minutes.
That's almost loaded.
Add credits, you're at about three 15.
Well, dark night was long and so was the Avengers.
And that's pretty much the standard nowadays by an epic.
But to do an epic movie, you have to go along.
Yeah.
But when with movies like this, it don't feel like two hours and 30 minutes.
It just doesn't because it just flies because the Avengers was done right.
I mean, it just, it's always dark night.
It kills me.
I haven't seen the second time.
Make sure you go to bed.
I've seen it like five.
See, what I did for the ultimate Marvel movie marathon as I literally hit
the bathroom in between each film.
And then I went one more time, like halfway through cap.
So I knew I was ready.
Because really out of all of them, that's the one you could go p-during.
Yeah.
Like, especially, especially, especially during the, the army stuff.
Yeah, like, you know, but I enjoyed cat more than I do at Thor.
And I like Thor.
I actually enjoy Thor.
I'm a big Thor fan though, like my order was first class Thor and then cap for last
year.
Because to me, though, there was a lot of, yeah, first class was amazing.
There was a lot of exposition once they left Asgard.
Yeah.
Did I could have done with it?
Well, and my thing with, with first class, and I ranked, and I ranked in my favorite
superhero movie in the year, but you have to leave your geek brain at the door because
if you don't, it will explode because it's so far out of continuity that it's almost
back in continuity, not, not as far as some people think, I mean, they're, if you go back
to, look at the age difference in continuity between Professor X and Havoc.
Okay.
And you're going to make them the same age?
Well, okay.
What?
He wasn't necessarily the same.
Well, it was pretty close.
They were both teenagers.
But still a great movie.
No, no, no.
And I can't wait for the sequel.
And I'm excited that Jennifer Lawrence is actually going to be able to do this.
They're actually going to film this before the Hunger Games catching fire films.
So she's going to have time to do both movies.
This girl, she's, she's, she's turned into everything that, uh, uh, what's his name
from John Carter and Battleship, uh, Oh, yeah, Taylor Kitch, Taylor Kitch, everything
he wished he, he, okay, I get bad at names.
Jennifer Lawrence is from the Hunger Games.
She also played in a steep, steep, steep, steep move out like her.
She is literally girl next door hot.
Yeah.
Like, because she's not like, you know, Chad and I were talking about this last night.
She's not super model hot, but she's not always the best hot.
But she's like approachable hot like you could, you would like, if you didn't know who
she was and you saw her like out somewhere, she's the kind of girl you feel like you could
walk up to and just talk to that we feel that we could do that.
Yeah.
We couldn't actually do that, even if she wasn't famous.
I'd be more apt to can I say that?
There's a better chance of it actually happening.
I mean, I would talk to my friends about it at the bar to be like, yeah, dude, tell me
about that chick over there.
Seriously.
Yeah, dude.
What's the deal?
But still helping for that.
Yeah.
Still wouldn't do it.
Moving your releases this coming week, Tuesday, the day after my birthday is the release
of the amazing Spider-Man and Chad, I will tell you even though I am taking that day off.
I for you, my friend, I will wait on this one.
Okay, good.
I am on board.
This because you are a Spider-Man guy.
Just like I am a Batman guy and I'm a Batman guy too, but you are, but you are more of
a Spider-Man guy than I, they're one and one A with me.
But more than me is what I'm saying.
I don't hold Peter Parker in that big of a regard.
But I will wait on this one for you because and we will see, I will see this one in 3D.
Because they have done a lot of those POV shots that looked really awesome in 3D.
So this one I'll see in 3D.
I just don't see things in 3D.
Avengers was cool.
I just don't.
That was, but that was part of the package.
I mean, it was the first three in 2D, the second three in 3D.
I just don't do 3D.
But they look like they finally got a Spider-Man right.
I'm hoping because I hated the Remi trilogy.
There's the first three.
Thank you.
You and me.
Right here.
Right here.
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
Venom Peter Parker shuffling down the boardwalk.
The first one, the effect.
I'm right there with you with there.
The effects weren't up to par on the first one.
The second one should have been just called Peter Love's Mary.
And then I would have known what I was getting into.
And then the third one was just terrible.
You don't have to move.
You don't have to move.
I like to.
I like to.
No.
I like to a lot.
Okay, we can't be friends.
No.
Because the thing that killed it, the thing that killed one for me was Goblin, like a power
range.
Goblin was stupid.
Terrible.
They looked like a power ranger.
But Malena was great as Doc Ock.
I'm sorry.
No.
But as great as Malena was, it still didn't make up for the Remi.
I'm sorry.
I had to just want to marry Mac Offan.
For two and a half hours.
I'm sorry.
You don't.
Spider-Man does not talk down Doc Ock at the end of the movie.
Do what's right, Professor.
That's a good point.
Blah blah blah blah blah.
Oh, okay.
I'll change the mind and break my chip and then throw this big ball of energy into the
ocean and everything's no.
That's bull.
It was a cop out.
Yes.
That was a cop out.
In four, three, two, one.
Also in theaters is cop.
Katie Perry releases her doc you concert film called part of me.
Hot.
I'm going to say it because it works so well for the beaver and the glee.
The beaver it actually did work for sirs, the glee not so much again, could watch her
on you.
Oh, yeah.
She does nothing for me.
Gorgeous.
Nothing.
Gorgeous.
It's because you like Spider-Man too.
Also the latest offering from Oliver Stone called savages, which looks killer.
What is it?
Oh, let me punch it up real quick.
This looks vicious, man.
It's got, but it's also got the Taylor kitchen.
Wow.
But let me give you, okay.
Real quick.
Here's how it works out.
Pot growers Ben and Sean face off against the Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped their
shared girlfriend.
Okay.
What?
Blake.
Blake Lively, Taylor Kitch, Aaron Johnson, Benicio del Toro, John Travolta, Selma Hayek.
Can you do this like you go to studio movie grill and eat?
Can you go get a Travolta while you're watching this movie?
It was time.
I'd rather go.
This is America.
I'm not here to judge you.
As soon as I saw you turn your head and cough on my hair comes.
Here it comes.
Here comes the trial.
Are you sure that was the proper wording with that particular statement?
Yes, exactly.
When he turned his head and cough.
Exactly those.
Yes.
But you know what?
Not a huge Oliver Stone fan, but this the trailer for this looks awesome.
It looks vicious, man.
It's kind of it.
It looks really good.
The style.
Yeah.
It's got that kind of a traffic Gagan style to it.
So Travolta is a bad guy in this thing, Mr. Hayek?
Actually, no.
I think Selma Hayek.
Selma Hayek is the drug lord.
Ooh, I like that.
Yeah.
She's taking the cap and Zeta Jones.
Yeah, dude.
It looks...
We'll be get off here.
Watch the trailer.
It looks awesome.
The first time I saw it was like, well, then it hit me that it was Oliver Stone.
I'm like, wow.
Okay.
So he's back with the vengeance.
Like that Wall Street sequel debacle.
And I actually liked it.
Then I had to put this one in here just because of who's in it.
It's called The Pact.
As a woman struggles to come to grips with her past and the wake of her mother's death.
An unsettling presence emerges in her childhood home.
There's only one reason that I put this on the list.
Because playing the role of Creek is the only celebrity that has ever harped on my co-host.
Oh, my.
Would you like to tell this story, sir?
How do I not know this story?
Oh, this is a great story.
He calls me.
It was like the most random...
I'm like, what's up, dude?
And he tells me this story.
I'm like, this is the most random thing you have ever told me.
In that almost 20 years I've known you.
Okay.
This...
I'm watching Starship Troopers.
And do you remember this now?
I remember the story now.
I'm watching Starship Troopers and I'm just posting on Get Glue, I think.
Because it's tied into my Twitter and my Facebook accounts.
Watching Starship Troopers, I forgot how enjoyable this movie is.
But Neil Patrick Harris has taken this so seriously.
And Casper Van Dean thinks it's a Shakespeare.
Casper Van...
Within minutes.
Within minutes.
Replies.
Like dressing me down.
I'm like, he's like, dude, really seriously.
I'm like, whoa.
So I called Rob.
And it wasn't like he hashtagged him.
It wasn't like he like did at Casper Van Dean.
He just typed his name.
His Google alert went off like that.
Immediately, he's like, dude, seriously.
I mean, really?
I'm like, and I want to say, no, dude, seriously.
All those peed on myself laughing at this story.
Because he's like, what the crap?
Like, he's literally freaking out and I am on the floor.
Floored me.
I mean, like, oh, that's fun.
How random is that?
One of the most epic moments in my Twitter first exploration.
I was like, wow.
Never saw that one coming.
Like, I get retweeted by two people that are on Sports Center.
But I can't match that.
Like, I can't.
And it's not like I was fishing for a comment.
You know, it was Jay Harris.
That's who was that retweeted me on the SPN.
He'd been gone from Sports Center for like a month.
And he had put on Twitter.
I'm returning to Sports Center today.
So I put at Jay Harris, I put your Jay Harris
and your return to Sports Center is what's on Twitter right now.
And he retweeted it.
And then I think like Cindy Brunson or somebody retweeted it.
That's right.
If you could do what I can't do.
Granted, they didn't get me into the SPs.
But I'm just saying.
DVD and Blue Eye New releases this week.
If you can believe this,
the 10th anniversary edition of Treasure Planet.
I can't believe they're doing a 10th anniversary edition.
I can't believe it's been 10 years since this movie came out.
I mean, it was a good Disney film, but not a great one.
Now, I'm going to skip the next one and come back.
Yeah, I'm surprised you didn't hold that for another segment.
Do you know what this other movie is?
Uh-huh.
It's called God Bless America.
I've seen the trailer to this.
It was written and directed by one Bobcat Gulfway.
And it stars British, I believe he's British, actor Joe Murray.
Who plays a guy.
It's kind of a falling down kind of a thing.
Oh, Michael Doug is waking out.
Okay.
But the way he wigs out,
he just decides everybody that pisses me off.
I'm going to hold a bullet.
Pretty much what Michael Doug was talking about.
But I mean, no, he literally, and so this girl watches him shoot,
like, I think he shoots some popular girl at her school for hacking them off.
And so she's like,
I want to come along and watch this.
So he's, and all of a sudden, then she gets in on the act.
Now, is it done in a way like, like, rampage was done?
It's kind of, it's a dark comedy.
As long as it didn't go to the natural.
It sounds like rampage.
Did you obviously rampage?
Uh-uh.
Who's in it?
You need to see this movie.
We're both dead.
Yeah.
Are you in flutches in this?
You need to see this movie.
A man with the first thirst for revenge builds a full body armor from Kevlar
and goes on a killing spree.
That's on right 2009.
You need to see this movie.
Michael Paray is in this.
Oh, dear God.
Any cruisers?
Michael Paray.
Matt Fruer is in this?
Max Headroom, Matt Fruer.
Yes.
You need to see this movie.
Today, tomorrow, this weekend.
Must watch this.
Star is a Brendan Fletcher.
That name, that name means something.
He's, uh, he's Canadian.
He was in Freddie versus Jason.
You've seen him in stuff.
You may not know where you've seen him.
You may not know where you've seen him, but you've seen him.
He's done two episodes of Alcatraz.
As soon as I see him, I'm like, oh, yeah, that guy.
Yeah, you're gonna know.
He was, uh, PFC Bill led it in the Pacific.
We remember we didn't finish the Pacific.
We watched half of it.
He was in blood rain the third Reich.
I never saw those.
He didn't have a set of flashpoints.
Okay, now I gotta talk about this song.
Because available for the first time ever.
On DVD, this coming Tuesday.
And why WWE had to pimp this?
Like it did in the last week, because beyond me.
The Hulk Hogan, tiny, Worcester Junior vehicle known as No Holds Bard.
DVD and Blu-ray.
The only special feature is a photo gallery.
I couldn't get a commentary track from like JR or somebody.
Like in the early days of Blu-ray, where a feature was full color,
disc art, interactive menu.
Yeah.
Well, what else would they be?
Idiot.
Interactive menus.
This is also old school jam of the day on Friday.
And actually, one of the guys that's on my friend's list said,
yes, I did read that to hear Hogan's voice in my head.
Because I actually, my commentary was,
you know something, brother.
Today's old school jam, brother.
And the fact that they actually worked this into an angle
with tiny, Worcester in character.
God, this movie was bad.
Where the Zeus came from.
This movie still uses it to this day.
God, this movie was bad.
When did it come out?
Oh, it was.
Oh, isn't this like the 25th anniversary?
Originally?
1989.
Yeah.
That's the only reason I've seen it.
It's because I watched it.
I've got Joan Severance was in this,
but she was hot back in the day.
Oh, and that's right.
He was, Rip is the world wrestling federation champion.
That's right.
They put their name on this thing.
Hulk Hogan, Joan Severance, tiny,
Worcester, Mark Pellegrino, great actor,
David Paymer, Jesse Ventura,
Gene Oak Girl, and Howard Finkel.
Oh, this movie was bad.
I'll just watch my shit day again.
And his headbands hit Rip him.
I've seen that, haven't you?
I could honestly say I've never seen this movie.
No, no.
Watch No Holds Barred if for nothing else in the comedy.
You could probably stream it on Netflix.
I don't know if I can.
I don't know if I want to waste two hours of my time.
I think he was asking if you guys have seen my shit day.
You mean machete?
Well, they call him machete.
Machete.
He just released a movie that he did with Austin.
Trey Ho and Austin did a movie together.
And they also, what was it?
Was it bad Ace?
That they called it where it's...
Yeah.
He's the epic beard guy that beats up the guy on the bus.
They actually made that into a movie.
But machete was cool as heck.
All right, let's see your wrestling.
Let's do some wrestling talk.
Look at this because Brent City's got nothing.
He's WWE adding another hour of programming.
He's actually taking the head folks off.
On October 3rd as WWE main event,
not Saturday nights main event, just WWE main event,
is going to debut October 3rd on your local Ion channel,
which is what?
Do we have that?
It's one of those 200 channels that nobody knows about,
but we know it's on you version.
This is on Direct TV.
I'm sure.
Okay.
It's just...
I don't know why we're doing this.
If you're not going to air superstars,
why would you air this piece of junk?
And let's just find the most obscure station
we could put it on.
Yeah.
To where we're literally saying,
do we have that state?
We're going to put it on palladium.
I can't actually get viewers there.
So let's talk about Rawl just a little bit.
Apparently we are going to find out who the permanent
Rawls and Smackdown GM will be on the 1,000th episode,
July 23rd.
So they're going to keep us dangling on a hook this whole time.
It may not happen that day either.
That's just what they're saying right now.
Because Lord knows we need it Vicki to be GM on both shows this week.
Um...
Seeing ahead of what I think might have been a promo faux pas this week,
he used the word historical and can you use the word historical
out?
Adding the word marker to the end of it?
Because I've never heard it used
unless it was a historical marker of some form.
There's a historic moment or historic,
not a historical.
Is that like having ethical battles?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Warrior.
I didn't...
I was very confused by that.
And...
So Cena's cutting his promo.
That was very Star Wars reference-laden.
Did you watch this Monday night, John?
Actually I did.
And I actually did enjoy it.
As big of a Star Wars geek as I am,
even I was like, really, this is a bit much.
I felt the same way Jericho did.
I'm like, yeah, that was great.
That was great, John.
Do that again.
For me to poop on.
Geez.
I guess I was the only one who liked it.
And your former...
Legend that showed up was Psychosid,
or Sid Vicious, depending on which program you saw him on.
Bit of a Twitter war between Rebysky and Sonny over this bit.
But...
This...
My first thought was he looks like the love child
of Brian Bosworth and Magnum T.A.
He looked awful.
But at least he could walk out there.
Yeah.
With his head...
Don't remind me of that.
Grossest injury I've ever seen in my life.
And nobody tried to tombstone him because they didn't want that.
And apparently, I guess he's later just going to be fodder for all of these legends
until the thousandth episode shows up.
I'm just wondering who's next.
Hey, you might have just...
...given dropped your own clue there.
No.
God, no.
Badass, really good.
Come in.
Actually, you know what?
Road Dog works for the company.
Yeah.
So it wouldn't be that much of a stretch.
Vader has been like, wow, really?
Psycho said, wow, really?
Bring back Giant Gonzalez.
Geez.
With his slim, good body outfit.
Have great colleague, knock the fur off his chest.
And apparently now, Frenchy has added another finisher to his repertoire,
calling it the colossal clutch.
Oh, Sarge.
We're going to march him out again, aren't we?
Oh, because...
Sarge...
Oh, it's July 4th week.
And...
...or Duggan.
No, no, please.
Don't march Duggan out in the heartbeat, aren't you?
But again, those are two guys that were used to seeing do this kind of thing.
And they're bringing people back to that.
Don't normally do this kind of thing.
So...
There was talk of Dusty on SmackDown this week.
Because they're doing that great American Bash thing, Tuesday night?
Yeah.
Yeah, I like Dusty.
Well, I have a problem with Dusty, but...
We've seen him recently, too.
Yeah, that's true.
We need to be blindsided by somebody that we're like, wow.
Gosh, I haven't seen him in a dog rage.
Bruceman Brawler.
Oh, he's not Xbox.
Donk.
Donk.
I mean, you can make anybody donk.
You can keep Eugene out of the ring.
Something like that.
He's like, ball or plus on my song.
All right, it's almost tour to France.
All right, we're bogging down.
Let's talk a little impact.
And it's very little.
The only thing of impact of note this week was Sanjay Dutt return.
And he's bald.
And he looks really weird as he's bald.
Because we're gearing up for Destination X.
So we're marching, we're pulling mothballs off these old Destination X wrestlers.
And there is a new wrinkle to the AJ Styles, Dixie Carter, drug addict, lady thing.
But apparently she's pregnant and now Christopher Daniels is claiming that AJ is the father.
Again, not helping in this angle.
So there's that.
I do want to touch on this next bit.
We do want to say Maxine, the diva that nobody recognized is quit this week.
Quit the company.
And nobody noticed, yeah.
Did you see?
I actually, this next story, I actually saw this.
I didn't even notice this.
I didn't know it.
On my on my homepage, I have Yahoo is my homepage.
And I have my Twitter feed and my Facebook page on my Yahoo page.
And so every once in a, whenever now and again, I'll log in and I'll just look and see what the latest tweets are.
And I, and I follow Booker T on Twitter.
It's Booker T 5x because he is the five time, five time, five time, five time WCW champion.
But I was seeing things on his Twitter feed like a lot of uses of the N word and constantly telling people to follow somebody.
And I was like, first of all, there's no way Vince would let this fly.
Secondly, I've never heard him talk like this except one time when he dropped the N word on Nitro by mistake.
What we found, what I found out this morning is that his Twitter feed and his website had been hacked by a group affiliated with the KKK.
They had published both his personal information and his wife Sharmael's personal information had completely changed his website to redirect to their website, which is affiliated with the KKK.
And so as I actually found this out last night and I was watching Smackdown to see maybe if they would have at least like blurred his Twitter feed.
Because this was going on.
I found it while I was at work still.
But they didn't.
I hope they got that under control.
On a better note.
Happy 27th birthday to Cody Rhodes.
Today is his birthday.
It's hard to believe.
I mean, I remember when he was a baby because Dusty had pictures of him.
And like, that would simply be magazine or something.
I can't have the list.
Yes.
If you will.
So Layla's got a new theme song.
So there's that.
As we get into a little bit of Smackdown talk.
Again, not much to talk about from our wrestling standpoint this week.
Chad, did you get a chance to watch Smackdown?
I tried to avoid it if I can.
Well, Monday night we announced who the raw money in the bank participants were going to be.
July 15th, Fox and Hound Richards didn't be there.
All former champions.
Let me give you minus two.
Because we have five of the seven participants in the Smackdown money in the bank ladder match.
Okay.
Okay.
Christian, which means the ICT title won't be defended.
Okay.
Santino Morella, which means the US belt won't be defended.
They want a tag match which got them in.
Here are your other three.
Smackdown money in the bank ladder match participants.
This is a pay-per-view match.
Damien Sandow, Tyson Kid, and Tenside.
This really happened.
This was a thing.
What is the bigger bust now between repackaging somebody and putting them back out there?
Is Tenside quite possibly the biggest mistake of reimagining a...
Okay, you had him reimagining because the biggest mistake that's in the car right now.
No, no, no.
I'm talking about that.
We've tried this with several wrestlers in the past.
Ziggler is a case of when it actually works.
But Tenside, this...
He's always going to be Albert.
True.
I mean, Brodus Clay has worked to an extent somehow, some way.
No, it really hasn't.
We're going to talk about him in a minute.
It connects with people.
This...
That's your Smackdown money in the bank.
There's two slots left that they'll get on the Great American Bash Show Tuesday night.
God, what a snooze fest.
This will be the first match on the card.
Yeah.
Because you've got...
I mean, in the raw one, you've got Sina, you've got Jericho, you've got Kane.
I mean, that's going to be a decent match.
I think...
Is Frenchy involved?
I remember.
I think so.
Who's going to bring up that big ladder he used to use?
Still looks funny.
Still real involved, I know.
No, don't really Smackdown.
Yeah.
Oh, no, no, no.
He's on Smackdown.
They moved him to Smackdown like a month ago.
Which doesn't make any difference anyway, but...
He's going to be involved with someone.
And what is the deal with Ryback's opponents always having to speak and rhyme?
Did I miss something?
Like, every week the two jobbers they throw out there from some local city, they always
talking either poetry or they try to rap.
And that's weird for me.
Let's find two guys with no body hair and eating disorder.
I got a question.
This Ryback guy came out of nowhere for me, so I don't know who...
He was on NXT Season 1 as Skip Sheffield, who came out with the A&M logo on his trunks,
and his bit was...
Yep, yep, what a name!
But the Ryback thing was apparently his original gimmick when he was in FCW.
But he got injured, hurt his shoulder or something.
And...
Just tackling a park truck.
Yeah, probably.
And so now we're going to make him into a Rob Van Dam Goldberg hybrid.
Feed me three.
Feed me three.
Don't the crowd sometimes chant Goldberg when he's out there?
They do.
I thought I heard that.
They do.
This is terrible.
Keep him with the cowboy conversation gimmick.
Just leave that to where it is.
Because you can't...
Like, I can't take this seriously.
Now, if you had originally made him like this, I'd be like, okay, that's his bit.
But changing the bit this drastically.
And knowing who that is, it's just...
Well, but, you know, have him squash too regular size.
God.
I've been saying that for weeks.
Why, why?
But put somebody in the ring that's not a member of the Lollipop Guild.
Get these high school graduates.
You're tall.
You're above the ear, but...
You're tall enough to ride rides, you're okay?
No, but like Brent, these guys are like...
That bass guitar is bigger around than they are.
Yeah.
And he takes on two of them, like, that's supposed to be impressive.
I could kick these two guys' butts.
And I'm not a professional wrestler.
What was it that Phil Hurtman said as...
As a...
Sinatra and the Sinatra girls are in life?
I got chunks of guys bigger than you in my stool!
Yeah, and yeah.
It's...
It's...
It does nothing to...
To submit this guy as a butt kicker.
It just got into joke.
But that's all we got for wrestling talk.
Like, there's nothing else to talk about.
We are going to change...
We're going to do just a couple of quick things.
The Olympics are coming up.
We're going to run through these.
And then we're going to do a little geek news.
There's two ladies that are vying to go to the Olympics.
And apparently they're neck and neck.
And there was talk of a coin flip.
Of who was going to go to the game?
Is that what they're going to decide on a coin flip?
There was...
They hadn't decided whether it was going to be a coin flip or a runoff.
Make it a runoff and put it on TV!
It's already a story!
Make them run another race.
That's all.
Apparently David Beckham out of the soccer team for Great Britain.
They're like not even letting them carry the flag.
Wow.
And this is a guy that...
They're selling underwear at H&M right now.
Well, this is a guy that carried the torch.
You know?
And both Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosch will not be playing for Team USA.
Okay with it.
That's a big surprise.
But we get Lepron.
Yeah.
Yeah, just, you know.
I got no issue with it.
Of course you do.
That's your issue.
But again, I don't have that much issue with the dude.
I understand your reasoning and I respect your reasoning.
It just doesn't bother me on the level that I would take Wade and Bosch
and a heartbeat over Lepron going in there.
Alright, let's do a little geek news.
We were changing technology to geek news.
We got a little bit of time before we do the lists.
When Brent's here, we do like to do a little geek news.
Because that is Brent's forte as the kids like to say.
Well, because you are the guy.
You know, when we want to talk about comic books and stuff,
you are the guy to have on.
Because you've got the geekiness and you just like a geekiness.
You know?
You and I sit down and sometimes talk for hours upon hours
about comic books and stuff.
You're one of the very few people I can do that with.
So you've actually been to three cons in the last month that I have.
Four.
Which one am I missing?
Dallas.
Dallas Houston.
I'm not sitting count because it's here, but yeah, I doubt.
Now, let me ask you this and John and I were discussing this one day.
Are since they called it Dallas Comic Con,
is this affiliated with the San Diego people
or do they just make the logo look the because the logo is just different enough
to not be the San Diego logo?
They're not affiliated, that's crappy.
No, same.
On the show, the same show it's always been.
It's always been crappy.
Phillip Wise, that's crappy.
No, it's always been the same but a lot of shows do that. I mean there's
Denver Comic-Con and and Albuquerque Comic-Con and but see Dallas didn't do that till this year
It's always been Dallas Comic-Con. So neither ones affiliated with you. Tell my the logo. They're not the names
I mean they've always been sorry about the logo not the name. No, I mean the logo I logo until this year
That made me mad. I'm sorry. Don't affiliate yourself with that if you're not gonna be that now great
a ton of people there and from a guy who was at an artist here because John has given us their
perspective from a fans view when he was on last time on the show from an artist's perspective. What was Dallas Comic-Con like?
This year. Yes
It was slower for me. They put all the the artist local artists basically up top on the fourth floor not a whole lot of people
Newly were there on the fourth floor. Yeah, they used multiple floors. They used every floor really of the community
They're talking about actually moving to
Like I'm a 35 to not
The market center market center down there. Oh market center's all one floor. Right, but it's bigger
It's got to have a bigger venue
It's not it's not big enough for convention center Dallas convention center, but
Moving to the galore. That's where they do quite car now
No, you can't do the galore is too big
They but they could section off the convention. Yeah, let's say Quakecon's not that big
I don't run a man. I just tell you the comic on is a bigger adventure than just in the rumor mill
I don't know. Did you get did you get a chance to
To hop knob at all at Dallas Comic Con or were you kind of stuck where you were?
No, I mean I did my
Regular thing. I just did my table and then I mean afterwards because a lot of even though we live here like we don't get to see each other
We're just all too busy. Right, so you know me and my buddies
We just afterwards went and grabbed some to eat and chilled and hung out and went home. Well, I'm sure Stan Lee wouldn't
I mean, I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it. I didn't say and kicked it. You know, that was a dead horse
I was leaving alone. We play hacky sack a little bit
The visual of Stan lead hacky sacking is you should have seen this they did this exclusive print for
John for
Where was I Albuquerque? Is that where Kevin Smith? Yeah, yeah, so somebody did this print somebody did this print for Albuquerque and it was
Stanley break dancing and then Jay and Silent Bob like kind of over on the side like chilling watching them with a B-boy stance. Yeah, that's not a funny
So I mean
You've done you didn't send you to last year. We talked about this show that you had a nice little bit on on G-Force coverage
That was fun with the with the Sarah under or the from the neck down hot Sarah underwood. Yes
She's actually much work done. She's I'm sure she's a beautiful like a nice girl. I wouldn't you know 100 cake
You're out of better cooking cookies. Um
So but you've done San Diego. You've done New York. You've done Denver. You've done New Orleans. You've done
Chicago Chicago. I'll be in Chicago in August. I've done
I was supposed to be in Florida this weekend, but I'll fold out for Miami actually really in town. I represent
So yeah, Albuquerque Denver, El Paso
So what what where where your preference is like where as as an artist as somebody who I guess for lack of a better term is a vendor
Where to you to and from your point of view? What are the best places for the cons?
You know, I mean, I think any spot is a good spot to have one if you have it if you do it the right way and you have it the right venue because I've been to some shows where it's like
blah blah blah
Comic-Con and then they stick it like on the outskirts of town
At you know like like Dallas for
Well, no, but like Dallas has got it's you know, they it's a nice area at least where they have the show and it's really the only
lost cleanest and they do they do a lot of promotion and yet he had a yada, but like I've done a show we called a ghetto con where
I mean you said it was like going to like do a show at big town
Yeah, that's not like that one
It was like in an old abandoned Walmart. Yeah, it's really bad like you know the old water
But like and and our listeners also have to understand Chad and I come from a time
Where the Dallas shows? I mean the Plano Center. Yeah, it's in Plano, which is kind of a richer part of town
But not a great venue now. No, it was it was like doing a Comic-Con in somebody's high school auditorium without the seating
Yeah, but end to end to you know not to sound bad, but you know we do about there to try to make some money
So that's why it's kind of one of those things that's that's business
You know sometimes you talk to picking shoes like okay, well, you know, I'm not gonna go do this show because
We cost you more to do the economy is a little
Right, right in that area, you know like I was excited to Denver because there's
In Denver, you know, it's money in Denver
So I never was really nice like Denver's got the nice awards so far
I've been to Denver for like a day because I was doing some work in another area of Colorado
And I would meet some friends of mine up there. I really like Denver. Good thing. You're not there this week
What I miss the wildfire. Oh the wildfires. Oh, yeah fires, but no, that's both they weren't in Denver
Those are in Boulder. Boulder's like three hours away. Oh, it's not too far. My daughter is out there
That's that's for his daughter is it is it's three hours
But yeah, Denver Denver's like at the nice award and it's they got Denver's also apparently a lot of hot girls and
With a lot of doofy dudes
It's weird and apparently yeah weeds kind of quote-unquote
It's legal for medicinal purposes and yeah, but you go you it's a huge subculture
Yeah, you go to the clinic to get your
A lot of air quotes involved. Yes
Oh, something that you have a pain
Yeah, you can roll the new believe me my daughter tried to play the car because she's got fibromyalgia
I'll just go get some of this. No, you won't you know
Not in this day. You're kind of tying everything together with the the geek corner
And I know you're not much of a gamer and you and I have talked about this, but no
They have a a pinball simulator on the ps3 and the 360 it's pretty awesome made by Zen Zen pinball
And they've done several theme tables over the course of the last several years to save made it available
You just download tables over time your collection just gets bigger right they had like a table based on street fighter or table based on rock in bull
Weakle
They got into the Marvel license. Oh, yeah, they've got I want to say 12 tables now
Based on Marvel licensed characters and properties. They're pretty cool. Spider-Man has a table blade has a table
And they did an Avengers themed pack one based on the movie itself one based on the infinity gauntlet
I haven't seen that one yet. I don't see that one and another one that I on a storyline that I was not at all familiar with they did another one on planet Hulk and
The one that I just completely got past me and I guess it's mainly based on the Thor universe is fear itself
Are you familiar with that?
It's self was a major one of the major events like every year every summer. Yeah, there's a major event right our world
Yeah, yeah, so essentially it was I didn't really read it like I picked up a couple of books because I like the
Serpent right black lanterns. Yeah, but it was night is what that was called. I watch one the black lanterns
That was darkest night. Yeah, yeah, yeah
Because it's all seems to be based around Thor. It's some guy named serpent. Yeah, and it's basically like
Odin Thor's father made this, you know, it's got the the thing and then the whatever and they basically turned
all these characters into
As guardian type
Gods, you know what I mean? So like juggernaut had you know, you know, they almost all had like the power of Thor in a in a way
But they didn't have me on me. Yeah, they didn't have me on me. I'm out, but they didn't
It's me. I'm kidding. I love her. Oh, she's up. Have you seen the things on the thing? I have heard the rumors
You should see them
But yeah, so it was it's just another main event like it's one that I didn't read like I read
You know, I didn't read it. Stanley what it is close personal friends. Stanley whatever
You make it sound like I'm a douchebag
Like we don't know
But what I mean, it's a cool looking table, but I knew nothing about the story
Yeah, I didn't really I didn't really read this door. I mean like I said I picked up a few of the books because I really one of my favorite artists drew it
But I just kind of looked at the pretty pictures more than anything
He did pictures. Yeah, I did. Oh, it's good. By the does Bolin still work? Who Brian Boland? Oh, you're not know who Brian Boland
I know who he is. I don't know if he's I mean, there's a lot of guys that
We're working they weren't working that are working again. There's a lot you know what I mean?
So it's it's kind of a weird
Resurgence because he was always one of my favorite art like Alex Ross and Brian Boland have always been my two favorite artists Ross
Okay
Ross is good. Yeah, I'm not gonna give I mean Ross does amazing stuff
I just I would rather look at his covers than his interior work. Yeah
But like like Boland I like I loved his work on Kamala 3000 back in the 80s
That was always and he did the killing joke one of my favorite stories. Yeah, I don't know of anything new
But I don't unfortunately like and you'll find this like I don't have a lot of time to read books
I don't have a lot of time to keep up with
You know if I know
Somebody that's book is coming out like I'll go buy it to support him. Yeah, you know what I mean or if I hear that
You know one of my favorite artists is doing a book. I'll go pick it up
But I don't have a lot of time to read it. Just pay it forward kind of thing. Yeah, I mean I just I've got you know
I've got stacks of books that I have not read. I've got a spinning rack probably half of my have a red god
Rob can relate to that. He's probably still got blue rays in the shrink wrap. He never got to open
No, I open them all. I just haven't watched
Yeah, but it's just I don't have the time like I wish I did but I don't so
But anyway, well, we need to put a bow on this show, don't we well
We do want to take a couple minutes and just recognize again that this is our 100th weekly episode and
It's crazy when you think back
The very first episode of this show was not live the first what four four the first four episodes of this show
We're not live
Cody and I recorded the first episode July 13th, 2010
It was the studio looks completely different. There's only one computer with a different mixer
Well, we've often told this story about Cody that very first night
That was actually available if you go to the Library of Congress's website at archive.org. It's there
The first four episodes are seriously. Wow. That's where we uploaded it first and
And Cody had his notes and all he would do is stare at the front wall of the studio that's the front wall of my house and
As it went about an hour and a half the first episode and as as we went on he got more and more relaxed
And he was able to turn a little bit more and a little bit more and a little bit more and by the time we got to the end of the episode
He would actually we would we was more like it was supposed to be worse like a conversation
Engaging in conversation. Yeah
August I'm sorry July 27th
The third episode was the very first ladies for resting around table
Which was a mess
Yeah, because we had charla
Tanya and Missy in here with Cody and I and two microphones. Oh, God
So that that was because I only had two mic inputs on the old mixer. So that's all we could have well a few weeks later
We were able to upgrade to the the wonderful Maggie mixer that we use now
Got didn't miss it did not miss a Tuesday night in the first year
even when I went
It was last year this this past week was when I got to go home from my
20 year high school reunion and I took all the equipment with me and we skyped the show
There were horrible technical problems that night because
One of the computers I was using was dropping the wire was signal constantly. Yeah, and
Then we started season two
Didn't miss an episode until Christmas Eve. We didn't episode of New Year's Eve
Cody
Wanted to go off and do his own thing in November and Chad very respectfully and thankfully stepped in
Anxiously stepped in it stepped into to help out and
Starting probably in I would say late January early February is when we started doing well
It's actually probably earlier than that. We started doing the rotating third chair
Yeah, which is kind of something I'd wanted to do from the beginning
But with Cody being so new to this I didn't want to just completely shock it all him and which we had some guests every now and again
We know we had we had ladies
We had chicken studio and ready ladies resting around table
But we really kind of got into more of the the the the stride of the rotating third and sometimes fourth chair
Probably during the holidays this past year
And it opened every I think that really is what it opened everything up
We've we've now been at Fox and Hound almost a year and a half
Elimination chamber last year was our very first live special edition
We did a special edition for summer slam that we actually record in summer slam 2010 that we actually recorded
the week before and
We do we did it as just kind of a
an
Experimental kind of thing
We didn't do it live. We recorded it and then I uploaded it
I was actually out of town. It was my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Oh, that's right. That's right
Then we also we also did an interview we did our first live interview that fall
With a coach by the name of Byron Pierce who managed a minor league baseball team that Jose Conceco played for oh
That's godly
We did our very first special edition was a college football special edition on September 2nd
2010 with with Lonnie he was here with us
We did a night at champion special edition. We did summer slam special edition and we did survivor series
Which we actually did here and then went from here to the living room and watched survivor series right here at at
Stately urban manner
And that was really the first live special edition we did for
For a paper for a pay-per-view I because I think I'm pretty sure that
That that's night at champions. We we pre-recorded and then we didn't do one last year for the rumble
But elimination chambers and where it was again last February is the first time we did a live edition at Fox and Hound if you go back
And listen to that show. It's absolutely terrible because I
Was I made a mistake that night and the microphone was recorded on was the microphone
On my laptop and not the microphone that came off the board
So we call that the bootleg show because it sounds like a bootleg concert that you're at
Be grateful dead tapes. We learned a lot from that night
Fox and Hound has been amazing to us
They have been more than accommodating. I remember that very first pay-per-view. There were like
25 people or they only had three at the rumble and
We have built it up now their triple digits every month multiple rooms
One of my favorite memories of the show was WrestleMania 28
Absolutely where we had all three rooms. There were 400 people if there were nobody there. It was an amazing amazing night
We've there's so many
Great memories over the last two years because next week is the season finale because
Come the 14th it'll be the beginning of season three
I never forget that big crowd pop in WrestleMania 28. I turn around to Don. I said this is why we do this
You know we love the Empire. I would love it if we had thousands of people listening every week
But the fact that we get a couple in here live a lot of people listen on the archive
You know as long as the Empire wants to hear it will do this show
You know, it all it does is it costs us a couple of hours of our time and
It's a lot of fun to do and and as dangerous as the internet can be
It's also a very very beautiful beautiful thing that we have this opportunity
To do something that
Otherwise, there's be no way in hell we ever would have been able to pull off right and to have you know
To have a great site like you stream that that we have minimal problems with
We you know like blog talk radio. We don't only have a half an hour to do everything
Yeah, unless we wanted to pay for it you stream provides everything for free and they let us go as long as we want to
I think you have to stop every three hours and start a new file or something
But we don't ever go three hours. Thank you. Although we get close
We're close. We're approaching it. Yeah, because we still have to do the list
But I just I just wanted to take a minute and
Thank everybody that has been a part of the show gentleman you two in the studio
Don Steven Sharla Tanya Cody
Miss the David David Brandon Cliffey Cliffey
It's we've had so much fun and we'll talk about this a little bit more next week
When we do the season finale of season two as we get ready for our third year doing this
In the beginning it was just
A bunch of people running their yaps in a living room somewhere at docks house if I'm mistaken and we were looking for ways to kill time
Where we look for jobs to you or yeah, we heard a couple other people doing it online
Like we could do this. I don't know why we couldn't we can do that and really the main inspiration for me is someone that was mentioned
Early on the show that that Brent got to see for free because you know Stan Lee
Kevin Smith. Yep, Kevin Smith was the inspiration to make me go you know what I think I can do this
I already have most of the equipment anyway and I had to talk you in a listening to the thing too
Usually you do this is so you're we now I have more podcasts in my iPod that I know what to do exactly
Because I'm really far behind on more stories, which is J more's podcast, which is a great podcast
So and basically in a nutshell, you're welcome sir and thank you
I've never regretted a minute of the show
You know, there's there's some times where I've wanted to beat my head against a wall, but I've never I've never regretted a moment of the show it has been
Labor of love doesn't even say it you know because there's a lot that goes into producing this show
There's a lot that I work a little bit on the show every day to make it sound as wheels off as it does
But it is it is order through chaos sometimes
But I can't thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart
We have so much fun doing this and I'm looking forward to another hundred shows
So that we can do this again in two years and and and another hundred after that and another hundred after that
Until there is no more and I don't see that happening any time soon until there is no more internet
But that will never happen
But let's go ahead because the street lights been on for quite a while I
Thought it would be a good for our one hundredth show
For us to do dueling list and what we'll do is I'll do my ten you do your ten
I'll do my nine you do your nine. Okay. Good. Well, we both don't see but both put together are ten
These aren't our full bucket list, but these are ten items no specific order for me except for number one
Number ten for me is to attend WrestleMania
The day it's finally in Dallas. I want to be there. Yeah
so
And when it happens we're we're going there's there's no debate here. I have to be there Brent won't the rest of us
Well, he might be commissioned to do some work there
John's gonna be there. I would definitely go
Oh, I bet I bet if we pulled our resources we could probably get a section
Probably with with with the circle as big as it thinks things grown
Your number ten sir. We'll get into the cover art for that be awesome. I'm not gonna be that I want to attend a pro boxing match
I would put the proviso on that in Vegas
Because I've been to pro boxing in college. They used to do them all the time. Yeah, but I would like to see a prize fight in Vegas
Like a packy out there with you. Yeah, my number nine
I have to see James Taylor live before I before I pass on my wife and I were watching a documentary called the love we make
Which was about Palma Cartoon getting ready for the concert for New York in 2001
And I had forgotten James Taylor was the very first artist signed to Apple records. Oh, yeah
You you've actually mentioned that and he's in this thing and seeing him and McCartney in the same room
I looked at my wife and I said you want to make my head explode and surprise me when he comes to town bias tickets
And she's and she looked at me. She's like oh my girl. I'm a huge James Taylor fan huge
You're number nine
Well oddly enough, I want to go to Vegas with the wife and the kid
Because I've been to Vegas one time when I was 18 biggest is fun right before I went into the Navy right after I graduated high school
So you really couldn't do all that much
But I especially since the show that I just missed this week because we were working
MJ immortal playing at the AEC will be taking up a permanent residence in Vegas
It will be it will be and my daughter is the biggest Michael Jackson fan
I know very much so and I want to
Take her to see that as well as experience the Beatles love Cirque du Soleil. Oh, it's awesome been there done that
my number eight and
Although Brent will disagree with this I have to go to San Diego Comic Con just as if for no other reason to say I've done it. Yeah
My number eight is something that you've already done. It's very similar to this. Okay
Celebration. Yeah, but see I wouldn't want to do celebration again because the movies are done
The cool thing about I went to celebration to an Indianapolis and the cool thing about that was that episode two was getting ready to come out
Yeah, so there was all that that buzz around it
Met some great people had some that was a rough weekend from a sleep standpoint
Well, but you were working the show. Yeah, you were attending met the great Jerome Blake wonderful man
Wonderful man had a great time and they got to play low-bottles of is a throwdown artist
My number seven I want to visit for the seven continents. I haven't been to
Because I'm not going to Antarctica. Let's be honest
Been to Europe spent a couple of weeks in Madrid. I want to go to Asia. I want to go to Antarctica
I want to go to Africa. I want to go to South America
South America. I've been to I've been to the Arctic Circle
Me and you're the Navy. Yes, we we crossed the the North Pole
We had to go through a ridiculous ceremony to experience all that and I just didn't forget it
but I
Primarily want to go to Australia and dive the barrier reef with Rodney Fox in a cage surrounded by great white sharks, and I'm out
I would do that. I would like to go down there to a
Great white shark dive as he Rodney Fox had Rodney Fox survived a shark attack in the 60s. I'm with Rob about
And sharks sharks just in I'm enthralled by I just think that'd be a heck of a general adrenaline rush. Oh watch it on TV
That's where I'm at see world
There's a barrier there. Yeah, that barrier breaks. I can get away from you faster. We're good. I don't want to be in your environment
No, because you can move faster than me
My number six. I want to eat lobster fresh off the boat in New England
I'm told that if you go to eat about lobster in like
Maine
First of all, you get a whole lobster for like eight bucks, right?
And it's literally off the boat steamed and at your table dead
I'm a huge fan of seafood in general, and I love lobster, and I just think that would be awesome
And that's one of the things that generally are talking about for for our 10th anniversary maybe that'd be a good country
That'd be a good one
Me personally, I just want to eat a lobster roll anywhere
No, you know what those lobster bites at a not just say they're good not saying I enjoy their fine word not the same
And you know, and I'd probably have to go to freaking Maine to get my lobster roll
But I'm dying to eat one of these things you ever have room and roll and roll and roll they take a whole lobster
And you they put it cold in a like a like a like a baguette
They make it like a seafood salad, but it's a entire like pound of lobster with like bail and celery
And you need to sandwich of just awesomeness. I mean, I've had different
forms of lobster stuff same here, but I've heard that this
If you lost your job or lost your junk, you just think you must have bullet. No, I did have a lobster on New York. Shut up
No lie. That's awesome one. That's your filthy horn. Yeah, because it was on
He's performing that
They put him actually they were more like these were in like hot dog buns essentially. Yeah, yeah
But they were two and they were huge and they were doing it. They was really good
See, so you you can actually and then you did have pizza when you were there, right? New York
Yeah, sorry. Oh yeah, and you know what makes it taste different
It's the water
Jen went on a one of those restaurant tours with her mom in New York
And I said that's what makes New York pizza have that distinct flavor. It's the water that they use and the good
That's so good
Okay, my number five I have to see a game at Turner Field
I have been a brave fan since I was ten. I have never I've only gotten to see him live once
And that's when they came here to play the Rangers and got the snot beat out of them
I missed fullton county stadium. I need to see a game at Turner Field
I need to see my braves playing their natural habitat. I'd like to see a game of red
I yeah, that's one of those if I won a lottery. I would just do a stadium tour because I I've been to wrickly
I've seen the cubs and wrickly that was pretty nice and you put you never been to Fenway
You've been you've been a bush stadium though, haven't you?
You've never seen your beloved Cardinals playing their natural habitat. No, really
I've seen him many times come down to
It's kind of funny South Florida, but never seen him in St. Louis. I saw the yanks and white socks at the old Yankees stadium
Cody actually toured the old Yankees him the last year that there was up. Yeah, 98
Guy with the last name of fish is playing with a guy named Gofin. Okay nice
um
My number five is I want to go visit the wife's homeland with her. Oh, you're you're lovely wife who is a British descend. Yeah, where's she from?
If she's from British descent actually, she's I can't because she's not from there. So I can't say she sounds like she's from there
She was a sound like she's from we already done that once. That's a one trick pony. No, that's a one in done on the show
She's from she's from northern England. She's from the underland
It's under Lynn, right?
Sunderland. Oh, isn't lnd
Not too far from oh gosh, I'm trying to play call him anyway, but she's closer to like the Scotland England border
Oh, she's got she's got family in Ireland. So, you know, I basically just want to retrace the steps
Now my number four is kind of cliche, but I mean I had to put one cliche thing in here. I want to skydive
Whereas you're out on the shark diving. I'm out on the skydiving. I'm a certified scuba diver
But yeah, I'm not a certified nut
Well, that can be that I will not skydive that can be debated. I have parasailed, but I will not skydive
At least when you're parasailing, you're like just maybe 40 feet over the ground. I want to I definitely couldn't do it solo
Maybe a flea on one of those duet tandem. I couldn't do it one. Maybe I couldn't do it solo
I couldn't do it so burr. There's no way I would go up and I couldn't do it tandem either. That just seems kind of
It's yeah, well, it can almost seem like sheeding to me like having a dude's drive to my back. It's just not ever. Okay
I was in college. I was experimenting. Leave me alone. Yeah, I was right. My number three. Oh, no, you got your number four
He's got his four. I want to return to Disney World also with the wife and kid. Oh, yeah
I'm trying to get Jen to want to do that for her. She never got my wife has never been and your kid was very
There's a picture of your daughter in the in the studio from right there. She was in 2000
We wait Lord
I am that old my number three. I want to make something blow up legally
Done that I don't care if it's like to fire a 50-cal bullet at something or to push the button that blows something up
I just want to blow something up like again legally
I was in the Navy four years we blew stuff up
Yeah, but I want to go to arrange and do that
Yeah, but you can shoot stuff. I want to like literally blow something up
I want to make something explode into flames like push one of those buttons when the old stage of tear sound or something
Yes, you want to demolish a building. Yes. I want to be like a Tony Stark at the beginning of Iron Man
What are you showing that the Jericho missile just stands there. Oh, we do it. That's how dad does it
That's how America did it. I just want that. I don't want to build a weapon. You only have to fire exactly what
You're number three
I may be going way on in a limb here. Okay
I want to visit the set of Sesame Street
You know what I want to board with that would be right. I'm on board with that
All my life. I'm gonna wait. Did you hear about that the story from Miami? You heard about that didn't yeah
We were telling this in the bombing. Yeah, yeah, there's a strip club in Miami
That's an all-newed club that they've lifted the city ordinance or they can sell alcohol
But the bit is the bit is the all-newed bar the all-new strip bar is on Sesame Street in Miami
I mean Sesame Street went on the year the year I was born
So you know that that's something that I have been
Carmically connected to since day one
I just want to sit on the stoop right like right next to Oscar's garbage can
I just want to sit there. I just there's very little doubt in my mind that if I were to sit foot on that stage
I would break down. I would break you would see a grown man crying like a lot of you
That says I like that well played sir. Thank you number two of
Grace descending get ready to fire back up and hit the road again here very very soon. I want us to play a festival
That'd be cool
Even if it's like third stage. I don't care. I want us to play it because some are just
No, no, no, no, although it would be interesting. It would be interesting. There are there are there are a lot of
Christian music festivals especially in the summertime
There's actually one that happened today up at South Fork Ranch that KLTY does every year called celebrate freedom
Some great bands were there today. I've been to a show there actually. I would want to
I want to play a festival. I just do even if it's only one time and we go on at 11 o'clock in the morning on a third stage
I just think that would be awesome. Yeah, now we might have something on a little bit smaller of a scale coming up in August
We're hoping for our church does a thing called fan fest and they're expecting about 2,500 people this year
Cool, where we're going to be giving away school supplies and things of its ilk
So I'm hoping
That we're going to be able to play that
So you're number two
Two words actually go ahead and do your two and your one and I'll finish strong. Oh my believe me my number one is strong
Okay, let's go my number two two words guys
Skywalker branch
I almost feel that if I did that it would be anti-climactic. I mean, I know I've got celebration on here, but
Good little something associated with
Lucas roll with you on that. I just don't know if I went to the ranch
I think it might be a little anti-climactic unless the only thing I get to do is go play in the warehouse
Yeah, go through the archive
Then I'm in or or or visit there, but I kind of feel like that's probably like the Lincoln bedroom at the White House
You know what's there, but you will never see it. Yeah
You know kind of like a you know that or the that thing he like built on the grounds of the Presidio
Okay, but they got the Yoda bronze statue with the fountains stuff. You know, that's just again
Part of our youth that I would love to tap it if I went to Skywalker ranch would be like fanboy style
It's just brave. Yeah, no
Although I would like to sit in
sit in the control room that they use for all the the THX stuff
I just want to sit in there and just look at stuff just turn dials and say yeah, just push button just hit that one
Yeah, what is this dude? What is this dude?
Go ahead do your number one
Do I really have to say it yes you do because some of our listeners don't know you as well as you think they do
The Minnesota pilgrimage
I have to do it the Prince tour
Go see Paisley Park go to first Avenue
At some point get a cloud guitar in my freaking hand
See mine's more of a recent phenomenon
And this isn't this is attainable if you've got the cash
I'm a huge Game of Thrones. It may be attainable at some point huge Game of Thrones. No
I want to sit on the iron throne
When you have a throne that is made from the swords of the dudes you have killed that is the manliest thing
Ever and right now if you go to hpo shop dot com
You can order a full-size replica of the iron throne. It is seven and a half feet tall
It weighs 350 pounds just given the shipping cost you get to assemble it like Ikea no it comes to you fully assembled
The shipping cost alone just give the shipping the shipping cost is 1800 dollars. Wow, but I'm with you on that
I'd like that's pretty cool. Now you can't say because you know Chad
Take a guess on what this thing costs seven grand not even John
15 grand still for the bargain basement price of thirty thousand dollars
And if you go to hpo shop dot com it is on their right now
Got that kind of money just laying around are you effing kidding me Kevin Smith yeah like that
You know you know Kevin's thinking about I'm telling you somebody will bring this thing
At it to a con yeah, and there will be people sitting you don't make your money back
If you brought something like this to like San Diego and charge people like ten bucks to have their picture taken on
You know like at the celebration when you step into the action figure frame or they've made like the Hansello carbon
I think that they brought on every stinking comic con
Somebody's gonna do this at some point you will this will be I did see the other day
Um somebody is making Hansello frozen in carbonite ice trays
Those are these those have been outside for a while. I want to wherever you've been um
Welcome to three years ago and like you know that the guy that didn't know what Ted was until two hours ago
That's brand new and you know Stan Lee that's right. I don't know Stan Lee
All right, you bunch of putt pullers
But this one I think is it was realistic. I mean this could happen like within a year for you
I think if we ever go to a local con if somebody hears about a con where this is happening
I will do this and I want my picture and I want I just want I just want to say you're not allowed to go to convention. That's true
That's
That was back in my days and
You can't go
That's it. That's the list
