Yo, jeep.
Kick it.
Drum is clean!
Go!
Keep it going, uh.

It is Tuesday night.
It is 8 o'clock on the east coast.
It is 5 o'clock on the west coast.
It is the 15th of November in the year of our Lord 2011.
It is season 2 episode 19.
Welcome to the Clubhouse podcast.
We are your one-stop shop for all things, sports, pop culture, and pro wrestling.
Little something for everybody on this show.
I am Rob.
Joining me across the desk.
Live in a living color, except you can't see him, you can only hear him.
He is Chad.
Thank you, sir.
This is two and a row for you now.
It is indeed.
Just two?
Yeah.
Two or three.
At least track.
I was never good at that.
We welcome each and every one of you that are listening in.
We got a lot to get to tonight.
Hope you had a chance to listen to Cody's playbook, hosted by our broadcast partner and
also member of the Sooner Gator Production Network.
Cody Hawkins, that comes on Sunday mornings at 9.
He ran a little bit late this week, he had some travel plans that he had to get taken
care of.
He'll be back alive with you at 9 o'clock in the Central Times on next Sunday, wrapping
up college football.
We start with corrections.
A Phil's joined us.
Welcome Phil.
On a Tuesday night.
Wow.
Very nice.
Hello, Jules.
I listened to last week's show back.
I also got the email from Bryce Waterhouse this morning.
We were clean.
I don't know if you didn't hear anything or don't.
We do want to remind you, you can get our shows on your portable device.

listen to pre-recorded material, go to our website, www.theclubhousewithRobinCody.com.
Click on Get Our Podcasts.
I'll link at the bottom of the page.
It will give you instructions on how to get our show in iTunes.
We are still working with iTunes Store to get it in there, right?
Because I just rush, we are working with iTunes Store, I don't know.
But you know, that way if you miss any section live, you can either hit it on the archive
or you can actually get it downloaded, did you, or they, Peggy?
I'm not trying to get you a new credit card, so we work with you.
No big mistakes, which is good news.
So let's talk a little NASCAR.
It's all I need, bro.
Is there any other very few songs that more are just awesome than Fuel by Metallica?
No?
This one pretty much sums it up.
Even though I did watch some kind of monster last week.
Even after watching that, this song is still great, because I wanted to slap both Head
Field and Ulrich at one point.
I think everyone's been wanting to slap a couple of those guys a lot.
Good documentary though, if you haven't seen it, check it out.
So it all comes down to this.
This weekend is the last weekend of the NASCAR season.
This is huge, and I'll tell you why.
First of all, let's talk about the official race results from the cobalt tools 500 in Phoenix,
Arizona.
10th place was Clint Boyer, number 9, Paul Menard, not of Menards, different family.
Marcus Ambrose comes in 8th, David Wrightman in the 00 car comes in 7th, and here's my favorite
name to say.
Let's all say it together.
Go ahead.
A.J.
Almond Dinger in the 6th place in the Wix Filters Ford, Ryan Newman comes in 5th.
He had a veteran's day tribute car, which kind of neat.
Jeff Burton in 4th, and who comes in 3rd?
Smooth.
Tony Stewart, top 3 finish, but who's ahead of him?
The guy that's ahead of him in the chase, Carl Edwards comes in 2nd, but congratulations
to Casey Kane and the Toyota number 10 Red Bull car.
For winning, this race on Sunday, but here's the problem.
Right now, there's only 2 guys that can win the chase.
It is official.
You're either going to give a trophy on Sunday to either Tony Stewart or Carl Edwards.
Let me get you your chase update.
Jeff Gordon comes in 11th spot, he drops 3.
Danny Hamlin stays steady at 10th.
Number 9, Ryan Newman goes up 3 places, the number 9, Kurt Busch goes up 1 to 8.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. 7th place, I've said it before and I'll say it again.
If you are a member of Team Dale Earnhardt Jr., this is a successful season for you.
This guy has been so bad for so long.
This is a win.
I don't care who you are.
Hard to believe, too.
Yeah, I know, it's amazing.
But you know, he's earned over $4 million this year, so he's not hurt.
Kinseth drops 2 to number 6, Jimmy Johnson.
You're defending 5 times spring come champion who will not get a 6.
Bumps 1 to 5, Brad keselowski up 1 to 4.
Your top 3 are still the same.
Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards.
But there's only 3 points between Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards.
One of these two guys, and I saw this officially on the 4 letter network yesterday.
There is no way anybody else can win the chase.
Yeah, one of these two.
Yeah, it's a lot.
Exactly.
So we go to Homestead 4 to just outside the Miami area this weekend for the final race
of the year.
We're only two guys can win it.
So why don't they just have a Rochambo contestors here?
What's the point?
Tony Stewart wants a boxing ring.
That's true.
I'm just saying.
But this will be decided this weekend.
Sunday, this is again right in the middle of the Sunday afternoon, ESPN starts coverage
at 1 o'clock Eastern.
I believe it's a 3 o'clock race.
So next week, we'll have your NASCAR 2011 wrap-up show, not the whole show, just the opening
segment.
We'll be wrapping it up for you next week.
Been a really good year.
I mean, Cody, of course, my broadcast partner, who's on a break from the show, but he's
doing great with his show.
He's taught me a lot about NASCAR, so hopefully we'll be able to carry this through when Daytona
kicks up in February.
Oh, he's forgot more about NASCAR than I'll ever know.
And you and me both.
And I'll tell you something.
Any sport that basically has their Super Bowl in week one, I'm just saying, the season
that you blink and you miss it.
No, it's not, you don't blink and you miss it because it goes from February to November.
Shortest offseason I've ever seen, unless you win this Stanley Cup and you only get six
weeks off before training camp.
But that is how we do it.
That is NASCAR.
It is almost time for their offseason.
You are listening to the Clubhouse podcast.
We are here live every Tuesday night, eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast.
Make sure you join us.
And again, speaking of joining us, we're going to talk about something's coming up in five
days here in just a little while, but let's talk a little movie talking, yes, sure.
First and foremost, let's talk box office numbers.
Did this surprise you?
Honestly, absolutely.
Yeah, it surprised me big time.
We had a number one at the box office this weekend that absolutely took me off guard.
You know where I saw this headline and I swear to you as I'm sitting here, you know where
I saw this headline at a 7-11, huh?
I was at a 7-11 last night.
Some things came up.
I had to take care of it.
And even they got those screens in the 7-11 now.
I don't know if you've seen them.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And that's where I saw this headline of what took the box office, thought maybe you saw
it on a USA today or something.
Let's give you your top 10, number 10, $1.9 million.
Real still.
In the top 10.
How?
Get it done.
I guess.
I think we need to rethink our stance on that movie.
I'm still waiting for it for Blu-Ry.
Number nine foot loose makes another $2.7 million, pair a normal activity, three.
Number eight, $3.6 million, the Justin Timber Lake in time, $4.1 million, landing with
a thud.
Very hard.
Kumar Christmas.
Number six.
Another thud.
5.9 million, Jay Edgar makes $11.2 million, and it's opening weekend.
That ain't good.
In fifth place, number four, Tower Heist, 12.8, some friends of ours who just got married
on Saturday.
Congratulations.
Tom and Rhonda went and saw this.
Yes.
On Monday.
Number three.
You're reigning two week champion, plus and boots drops two places, but still makes $24.7
million.
Which is nothing to sneeze at.
So you're looking at this thing's made almost $100 million in three weeks.
That's really two weeks if you look at it.
You really have to leave it a prayer, really.
Number two.
You want to guess?
Number two.
Uh-huh.
Number two.
I command you to take a number one.
I know what number one is, but what the heck else could try to think what else opened
last weekend.
That's what I'm trying to.
I'm wrecking my brain.
Three percent on rotten tomatoes.
Three.
One, two, three.
Oh.
Yeah.
Sandler's Jack and Jill makes $25 million this weekend.
But everyone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
$25 million.
Apparently 75 million kids wouldn't solve it because you know, they're getting in for
three bucks a piece.
That just makes me sad.
That would be eight million kids wouldn't it?
Yeah.
I told you I'm not good at math.
But number one at the box office this weekend, if you can believe it, the, who, Mickey
Rork is in this movie, uh-huh, and, and the man who will be Superman, yes.
Immortals makes $32.2 million dollars.
That's respectable.
I, I didn't give this movie a shot.
36% on rotten tomatoes for those of you that don't know what rotten tomatoes is, it's
a website, literally rottentomatoes.com, where they take all of the reviews from a film
both online and in print, and they put them all together and the percentage of good
reviews gets it.
It's rating.
It's fresh of it is more than 60% less than that.
It is called rotten.
This 36% of all reviews said this was good.
Man, I just, I, I, I didn't really think that this thing had an audience anymore.
I mean, the, the 300 craze as long since coming for some reason, my wife, we got that on
Netflix last night, 300.
Yeah.
Oh, it's like really?
I've seen this like a hundred times.
Great.
But somehow we went up to the third Netflix movie today.
What, what was that?
The documentary about the early days of Genesis.
I'm very excited to watch.
Oh, that's all about it.
I thought we only got two at a time.
Somehow we went up to three.
That's neither here nor there.
Does the name David Yates mean anything?
Absolutely.
This is a guy that directed some of the Harry Potter films, the last four, the last four?
Yes.
Okay.
This is more your, your department that made you with him.
He is developing a film based on the resurgent craze that's made my life.
Yeah.
This made my wife pretty happy when I read this to her earlier.
Let me tell you something, my friend.
I was a Doctor Who guy.
I was a who-be-in as the kids like to say, when I was younger.
I have not watched a single episode of the new generation of Doctor Who.
But I haven't literally had people shake me and go, what is wrong with you?
Why are you not watching this?
I'm like, you know what, dude?
There's only 24 hours in a day.
I've given it a shot.
You know, like the whole David Tennant era that my wife is a really huge fan of.
Very awkward guy in real life.
Yeah.
You know, you've had a couple of these guys that have played the Doctor Who over the past
several years.
Kind of weave in and out of pop culture in recent form is like you had one that played
the invisible man on heroes for a while.
He's a former doctor.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
And, oh, that show is so bad after first.
Yeah.
I know.
But this thing has a cult following unlike anything I think that is out there as far
as in the world of sci-fi, it goes parallel only to maybe trek.
The early days, you know, the beginning days of trips.
I don't know if I would even equate it to that.
Well, because that's how far back it goes.
And so the Doctor who's been around for a long time.
And I've just, when I try to watch it, it just looks to, you know, it looks to TV.
It just looks too hokey to me.
I can't wrap my head up.
It's going to make a ton of money.
Oh, yeah.
Well, they say that this isn't going to conflict with anything that's currently going
on TV.
This movie that's being developed.
It's going to be its own canon base.
But you know, but you know what, the main, the main, the active word in that sense is
to me, developed.
We've heard things going to development that I've never seen a lot of day.
I kind of see this happening because because of the following that it's got, you know,
and I think they're trying to gain fans that maybe somebody like you or me that's kind
of on the fence about it.
We'll have to see.
I mean, I'll keep an eye on this and see where it's going.
I'll have to because I think if this movie comes out and, and, and I don't take the
wife to go see it, I will be in the doghouse room on time because you'll be, you'll be sleeping
outside.
Yeah, because she's a huge fan of who.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Dark Knight Rises wrapped production today after
a hundred and seventy nine days of production.
That's almost six months, sir.
Now there's no way, not total rat production just rap shooting, rap filming, not production,
not post production.
Just okay, okay.
Okay, okay.
There's a huge difference.
Okay.
Okay.
We now go into post production.
This movie comes out next summer.
I can't wait.
Let me tell you something post production, people, you better have something done within
the next four weeks because you're going to have the full prologue to this movie will be
on the front of a mission impossible ghost protocol.
I also today, I saw some of the, the Russian one sheets for ghost protocol.
Uh-huh.
They look kind of cool.
They're each character one sheets.
Oh, I love it when they do that.
That's become, that's become a heavy, heavy player.
I cannot be more stoked about a comic book film.
I don't even think I could put it into words.
And this is the last one.
But I'm okay with that.
Yeah.
Go out on top.
Yeah.
Go out on top.
Then there's this.
Andy Circus in an interview over the weekend.
Is now put it out there that you will have the first trailer he won't say if it's a full trailer
or a teaser trailer or what it will be.
You will have a trailer for the Hobbit by Christmas Day.
Have you heard what they're speculating is going to be attached to?
What movies you're going to have to see in order to get that trailer?
Well, you just mentioned one of them as a possibility.
Ghost protocol.
Uh-huh.
So I'm already there anyway.
But the other one makes perfect sense.
Ten ten.
No desire.
But who's producing it?
Well, yeah, it's Spielberg.
And it's also Peter Jackson.
Peter Jackson, there you go.
And Circus is involved in that.
So I just, I have no desire to see the adventures of Ten Ten.
Neither do I.
None.
I've gotten no familiarity with the.
I watched it a little bit when I was a younger man.
It just never ended.
Didn't care then.
Don't care now.
What is this?
This is, um, kind of tying into something a little bit later.
I'll tell you in a minute.
Okay.
I didn't realize we were already there.
Also, as of in the last 48 hours, the first full trailer for the Hunger Games has been released.
Yeah, I saw the teaser for this thing during something.
Something recently.
I don't know if it was the MTV Movie Awards or the Screen Awards or whatever.
I mean, a real big deal about showing it.
It was the screen, but it wasn't the full trailer.
It was just the teaser.
Yeah, I was like, yeah.
You know what?
I've never read one of these books.
There are three of them.
But I saw this trailer.
Jennifer Lawrence is in this.
Woody Harrelson's in this.
Donald Sutherland's in this.
I mean, it looks interesting.
Basically, the story is there's these 12, I guess you call them kingdoms.
And once a year, a male and female were chosen from each one to go into the survival.
They're called the Hunger Games.
And it's like sporting last man standing kind of a thing.
But all the contestants are between 12 and 18 years of age.
I'll check it out.
It sounds interesting.
I don't even know.
I don't know.
Nothing about it whatsoever.
Other than what you just said.
Movie New releases this week.
That's where this comes into play.
This is an electric eel track called Twilight.
I will go a little bit off the beaten path on you once in a while.
Twilight saga Breaking Dawn Part One releases this Friday.
When I wrote the run sheet, it did not have a rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It now has a rating on Rotten Tomatoes 20%.
Wow.
But it's the first day.
This thing doesn't come out until Friday.
So you really can't judge yet.
Happy Feet 2 also releases this Friday because there were so many unanswered questions from Happy Feet.
One.
That maybe did nothing for me.
When I have a field full of penguins singing Jackson's rhythm nation.
I have a problem with this.
Why do you think I felt the first one when they were singing Princess Kiss?
Yeah, but Prince were a song for the movie.
Yeah, and it was weak as water.
That's the last 15 years.
This is true.
Oh, it also what 33% when I wrote the run sheet now down to 29%.
Oh, wow.
It's dimly going kind of dovetailing back to the Twilight saga.
They're saying that she might need to make the premiere by the way.
Do you remember in LA last night?
The Queen of Emotionless.
No, Christian Stewart.
She and Robert Paso were in LA last night.
I saw pictures down there.
Oh, they were saying something a day on IMDB.
The she might not make the big, you know, maybe the New York premiere.
But they were in LA last night because her ankles given her problems from that injury that she was standing.
She's more pale than he is and he's supposed to be a vampire.
I'm just saying.
Scott says surfs up greater than happy feet.
I agree.
You know, I don't know that I've ever seen surfs up.
You know what it is.
You know, I've been wanting to, but I'm going to have to check that one.
You would like it.
I absolutely agree with him.
She'll look.
Yeah, she'll look up.
Mm-hmm.
And it was because happy feet got so heavy handed.
Got real preachy at the end.
I think that's what you and I said.
I get the end of Mick Foley's second book.
I mean, I get the message the whole environmentally eco-friendly thing.
But it just, you know, I feel like I was getting hit over the head with something.
Your last major, I wouldn't even call this a major release this week.
And the reason I know what this is is because it's been all over nothing but trailers for the last month.
You never thought about that.
It's called the lie.
It's about a young couple.
He's kind of depressed.
They've got a new baby.
He decides he wants to take a day off from work.
I know.
Just roll with it.
Because it's happy feet.
Happy feet.
Everybody's got happy feet.
He decides he wants to day off work.
His boss threatens to fire him and he says his baby died.
It's called the lie.
Geez.
And how it everything kind of one lie turns into another lie turns into another lie turns into another lie.
Small independent film.
Not a comedy.
I'm taking it.
I started 71% today now at 63% of Rotten Tomatoes.
So the critics still like it.
I'm more worried about next week.
Very excited about next week.
This segment on next week's show.
I will be a much more excited person.
It's all I'm saying.
Because of these guys in the background.
I'm just scared.
DVD and Blu-ray new releases today.
Did not.
Realize that this first movie rated this low.
The movie is called Larry Crown.
What's that?
This was the top hit.
It's really a rubber toy.
Okay.
I'm not saying I'm just saying.
Could this be his worst rated film ever at 34%?
Joe Verstevolcano got kind of butchered back in the day.
But in the Rotten Tomato Zero.
Well, there's probably a review for that movie on that side.
Well, that's 34% on Rotten Tomatoes right now.
Let me look.
Because I'm going to look up Tom Hanks on Rotten Tomatoes and see what it says.
Also this week.
The conclusion of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
I don't know if I call it a conclusion.
The latest chapter.
And I'm telling you.
Give this thing a shot, man.
I know you weren't really on board with the last two.
This one went a long way to redeeming it.
Tom Hanks's lowest rated film was a movie called My Life in Ruins Driving Aphrodite in 2009%.
Wow.
I love Rotten Tomatoes.
Can we get them as a sponsor?
Somebody get them.
That'd be nice.
I will.
I still, I'll strange your tides.
I'm still going to wait.
It's, it's, I don't think it's something that you'll regret watching.
I mean, the last two Pirates I'll go with you because it just got way too effects heavy.
I can't see it.
I've already crashed that reboot.
Okay.
Then there's this.
I am so in on these.
Can I, can I keep the proper music here?
Please do.
Please do, please do.
Let's just keep the proper music here.
I have the majority of these.
I'm standing.
That's sort of, I'm going to let the intro play through because a more interesting one comes after the intro.
I think we all know where this is going.
Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 1.
Noirly would you say Rob, don't you already own this?
As a matter of fact, I do.
However, I don't own it on Blu-ray.
How many of these do you have?
Ah, three or four.
Okay.
I've got four or five.
I think you've got five.
I think about one less than you do.
Because I didn't pick up the last one.
Looney Tunes Cartoons on Blu-ray.
I'm in, I'm in, I'm in.
I'm in, I'm in.
Did I mention I'm in.
What they, what they do with these, for those of you that don't know about these collections that they've been,
because they were the golden collections on standard.
If there is ever a way to watch Looney Tunes animation, this is the way to do it.
I'm very interested how well they cleaned up.
I'm telling you this much.
Like, the wife and I were watching the episode where Bugs gets adopted by the gorillas.
And it just so happened that it was running.
Yeah, gorillas cereal with them.
Shout out, shout out.
It just so happened that that was running on either Cartoon Network, like Boomerang or...
Boomerang.
Or Nick, whatever the heck it was.
They were actually showing that particular short when we had the DVD in.
So I was going back and forth comparing picture quality.
From DVD to high stuff.
From DVD to whatever.
It was in HD or no?
I'm pretty sure it was.
Okay.
And I mean, I'm saying on our DVD, look better than what was on the TV at the time.
But it's always going to look better when you have it on a DVD versus a television.
But if it looked that good on DVD, imagine what it's going to look like now.
Oh yeah.
On Blu-ray.
I'm kind of, I may run by blockbuster and see if they've got this for rental just because just to satisfy the curiosity.
Because I don't have the money to buy it right now.
Lord knows I trade in all four of what I have for that one.
Just to have it on Blu-ray.
But I do want to check it out.
It's essential.
I mean, if you were a kid growing up on this, and pretty much everyone that's of any age that's listening to this show has seen at least one Lutitune's cartoon in their life.
If you haven't, you poor, sheltered soul.
Do yourself a favor.
Do yourself a solid.
But that's going to do it for movie talk.
You are listening to the Clubhouse podcast live right here on Ustream.
We are here every Tuesday night, eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast.
Join us in five days.
Five days from right now, we are smack dab in the middle of WWE Survivor Series.
As we have been since elimination chamber in February, join us at Box and Hound in Richardson, Texas.
Take Central Expressway to Campbell Road.
Go West about two blocks.
We will be right behind the McDonald's.
It is a $3 coffee.
Honestly, I cannot think of a better way to watch this thing.
You want to pay 50 bucks at the house?
You go right on a hedge.
I'm just telling you, there's a better way to do this.
For $3, take all the extra money.
Get you some of the best food you'll ever eat.
By the way, this place is built as an English pub and grill.
Your wife of British descent has had deficient chips at this place and they are jewels approved.
Uh-huh. And they are made with Newcastle Brown ale.
So that's even better.
Even better.
I'm a fan of their great Buffalo wings.
Also a fan of the soft.
If you are a fan of the soft pretzel, let me tell you something, my friend.
They serve soft pretzels and they're not new.
I think they really do bake them.
Let's recall what my favorite sandwich is up there.
Oh yeah.
That club on a pretzel bun.
Good Lord.
That's amazing.
We will be doing a live one hour pre show at six o'clock central time.
If you cannot join us if you're not local, join us live via you stream.
We'll be available there to you.
The pay-per-view will start at seven o'clock central time.
Get there, join us.
We have a blast.
We all hang out.
This is the last major of the year.
There's only one more pay-per-view left in the year.
So make sure you get out there and join us Sunday night.
I'll probably get there about three thirty four o'clock so I can be set up.
I may have a whirlie ball appointment earlier that.
Oh really?
Yes.
There's rumors of that happening.
So join us on Sunday.
I'm watching this in my head.
Huh.
Really balls.
No, no, no, no.
There's no just bugs in the brood hill to costume.
Okay, let's move on.
I can listen to that all day.
I know.
A little bit of NHL news.
We're just not much going on in the league itself.
So we will go over your standing in the national hockey league.
Eastern Conference, Atlantic Division, fifth place currently held on to with a hammerlock
on it, the New York Islanders, the New Jersey Devils and fourth place, which we can't
be happy enough about, the New York Rangers in third place, the Pittsburgh penguins are
tied for first right now, 23 points tied up with the Philadelphia Flyers, and this is still
Sands Crosby. Correct. They had a nice little playoff from that. Just imagine what's
going to happen when he's back in strength. In the Northeast Division, the Defending Stanley
Cup Champion Boston Bruins are six points out and in the face. Wow. Right above them would
be the Odor Was Senators, the Montreal Canadian Hall, the Toronto Blue Jays, one point behind
your leading Northeast Division team, the Buffalo Sabers. Again, it's still November. In the
Southeast Division, the Winnipeg Jets currently in the seller. I mean, what are you going to do?
They're Winnipeg. But they're tied with the Carolina Hurricanes. Tampa Bay, 18 points, one
behind the Florida Panthers, who are in second place in the Southeast Division, only two points
behind the Washington Capitals. So, Ovechkin and the boys, getting nipped out of the heels
by both teams from Florida. In the Western Conference, your Northwest Division, the Calgary Flames
currently bringing up the rear Colorado Avalanche, two points ahead of them, Van Cooper, two points
ahead of them. The Edmonton Oilers, two, 20 points right now, one point behind the leading
Northwest Division team, the Minnesota Wild, because they are North and West of everything.
The Fingernails. Let's go to Central Division right now. The Columbus Blue Jackets, only seven
points on the year. You start winning some games. You're three in 12 and one. The St. Louis
in fourth place, the Nashville Predators, right in the middle of the pack with 40, sorry,
with 19 points, Detroit Red Wings, second place in the division right now, but still six points
out of the leading Chicago Blackhawks. The thing about the Chicago Blackhawks, they always
tend to play well in the beginning and they kind of fall through as the year goes on,
but we'll see what happens. And then there's the Pacific Division. The Anaheim
Ducks in last place, seven points out right now. The LA Kings, 19 points. The St. Louis
A. Shark's right in the middle of the pack, the Phoenix Coyotes, and who's the only team
we haven't mentioned, 11, 5, and O. Who's your downers? Those. 22 points, still second best
in the conference, tied for third best in the league. Philadelphia has 23 points in the
Eastern Conference. Chicago has 25 points. Dallas and Buffalo both have 12, 22. There's
irony there. Watch a little bit hockey this week, not as much as I would have liked to.
I watched a little bit of that Detroit game and I wish I hadn't. Wow. But last four,
last 10, Dallas is six and four. They have the best record of their last four games in
the league right now. So see how that goes. Those are your NHL standings. We are your
one-stop shop for all things, wrestling, sports, and pop culture. Because that's what
we do a little bit of everything. If you are a college football fan and you can get a
little bit early on a Sunday, listen to Cody's playbook with Cody Hawkins, our good friend
at the show. He will wrap up all of the college football Saturday for you. We're going
to talk a little bit of college football coming up later in this show as well. Do want to
let you know. Very good possibility of a guest in studio next week. Oh. And then another
guest in studio, the following week. Nice. Could be a triumphant return of someone to
pop it on a show here in a couple of weeks. Triumphant return. Triumphant. I agree. I totally
I will stand by that. I just want to stop so you can say that. We're going to talk
a little bit of TV news right now. This is the closest I could cover this. NBC has signed
a special correspondent that will be working with them over the next weeks and months ahead
and her name is Chelsea Clinton, which I don't think that's her. Did she keep her
maiden name? I would think she probably did, but you know what? I'm going to give credit
to you. She kind of got hot it up as she got older. Like when she was younger, because
we're about the same age. When her dad was in office, good. Well, I always said it was
weird because if you had Clinton, and then you had Perot, and you look at Perot's daughters
and you're like, hello, nurse. What Perot's daughter? Yeah, Perot, because Perot ran
in 92 as an independent. And you know, he's just a little easily guy. And he sounds like
us all the time. And he gets HBO on his ears. And then you look at Clinton. And for all
intents and purposes, Clinton and attractive man, his wife, but Clinton, you know, I'm
securing up in my own manhood to say that's an attractive man, but his daughter, not so
much. Nowadays, she's growing up nicely. She had that Amy Carter kind of. Oh, I'm going
to go that far, but it's in the ballpark. She will be a special correspondent with NBC.
They have not yet said what kind of thing she's going to cover. Why? What's the what's
it bit? I don't get it. I hope she as well. I really do. What is this by the way? What is
the theme from the mission? And this was your, this is your lead at the mission was the
name of the ta-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. That's the name of it. It's called the mission.
Okay. We'll have to work on it. You remember this movie? The mission? Yeah, it was
Da Nero, wasn't it? There had the big old beard. Yeah. Young men are crying across America
today. That watched the biggest loser. I don't think there's a lot of young men watching
the biggest loser. If, if for no other reason, because of this, but you know what? Originally,
the chick that played Sammy on days of her lives, she's hot too. I'm going to say it. Anna
Kornakoba, who was on that show this past year. Famous for winning absolutely nothing.
She will be exiting the biggest loser after one season on that show. Yeah. So there's
that. Megan says she's not even watching the biggest loser. Speaking of NBC, our first
three stories have been about NBC. Congratulations to Will Arnett and Christina Applegate. Their show
up all night is going to be moved to must-see Thursday coming to mid season. And the Oprah
approved Whitney will be bumped to the, to their Wednesday spot. Here's my problem,
because 30 Rock comes back in January. Huge fan of 30 Rock above that show. My problem
is communities getting benched. That, that shocked me. They said it should be back later
in the season. But I'm very upset because I love community. That, that cast is great.
We're going to talk about one member of that cast a little bit later in the show. You like
that? A fall night. A fall night. Nice segue. Shagway. I just don't know if if must-see
Thursday, must-see Thursday anymore. Must-see TV isn't must-see TV anymore. It hasn't
been for a long time. But the only night that has me just booked on multiple shows on multiple
networks in Wednesday. Yeah. I've just got multiple shows on Thursday. But you know what
spoke volumes to me about the, the lack of interest in Thursday night showing? When Survivor
Moved the Wednesday. Yeah. I thought to me that was huge because CBS who's not normally
known for having a solid Thursday lineup. So two of their biggest shows, Thursday shows
and move them to Wednesday being Survivor in CSI. Exactly. That was the linchpin. Can I go
ahead and say it right now? Ted Danson on CSI in Muppets. I have not watched one at the
site. His character, his character's kind of grissom ask, but he's a family man. So imagine
if grissom had a wife and kid. Oh, okay. But and without the insect fish. I could make it.
I wish I could remember. Oh, keep reading. Keep reading. Oh, I just lost it all. I hate
this computer. Or this hates me. And from the, anybody shocked by this next story department,
if you are, check your head. Kat Von D doesn't, doesn't interview in the last couple of
days where she says Jesse James had 19 affairs in the one year they were together. You lay
down the dogs. You get pleased. You get a social disease in her somewhere. Sandra Bullock's
going, girl, if you had called me on a told you that was going to happen. Ha, ha, ha. If
you better get that Vegas, you lost money. I'm just saying. And you know what? I'm not
a, normally not a fan of like girls that are that tatted up. Uh-huh. But she's hot. She's
a, she's an attractive woman. But dear Lord, is she? Hey, John, she's a little vacant upstairs.
She has a tattoo of letterman on her, on one of her thoughts. Well, anyone who tattoos
their face, not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. But this girl, if you didn't
know what you were getting into from the get go, I don't really have any sympathy for you.
I'm sorry. Okay, here's a question for you. Uh, Kat Von D or Dito Von Tees. Well,
considering that I saw, there's a story about her I saw earlier today. Her car broke
down on a bunch of like a biker gang helped her fix her car into the little free life. Dito
Von Tees carries herself with a little bit more class than I think I, I honestly think
she's crazy. Well, she dated Marilyn Manson. Of course she's crazy. She says, but then
again, so did Rose MacGallan. And so did, uh, and Rachel Wood. Would she engage to it
one more? Yeah. I think all three of them were engaged to him at some point. And apparently
now he wants a piece of the Lady Gaga. I saw him pop up video. Oh gosh. So there's that.
This next story I read this today. Let me, let me, let me preface this by saying, if
you work for a school district, which I don't look at, there are people in America that
do. Yeah. And you're going to have somebody come into your, your school. Do a background
check. I'm just saying. This has been making news for how long now? The Compton school
district. He hired somebody to come and do a reading thing with the kids. And this person
they thought was a celebrity because she would, they thought she was known for entourage.
He was not on to was Sasha Gray is an adult film actress before entourage. Sasha Gray,
they didn't know that she'd been important. Didn't know. I was reading this story and
somebody had posted on this story. There's a, there's a tool that'll help you with that.
It's called www.google.com. I was just like, are you kidding me? Just type in her name.
I had to read this story two or three times before I did this happen. What I think is
my brain processing this correctly? I was on the floor laughing. I was like, you gotta
be kidding me. I really do. I thought I had to share song, but I didn't. I thought you
were doing this for the Jesse James. I was. I didn't have the share song. Jesse James. So
I had to do this. Although I do like this song. But it's a good song. And she's hot. It's
like one of the first things I bought on iTunes. I'm like, you know what I'm going to dig
that song. This was one of the first songs you bought on iTunes. Yeah. Because I was
so busy just loading things onto iTunes from the collection I already had. It's like one
of the first things I bought on the iTunes store. Yeah. That's kind of funny. I'm sure
we'll shock a lot of people. But she's hot. Last story on our TV category today. If you
are a fan of Mad Men, never watch that. There's one more season left on this show. They finished
season six, season seven will be the last season. Wow. What follows could be a potential
spoiler. So I'm telling you now. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but some of you
may, if you were a fan of the Mad Men, just kind of go la, la, la, la, la, la, la,
for about the next minute. Came out today. They know how the show's going to end. The show
takes place in the 60s as we all know. But it's going to end in present day. So I'm kind
of inch. I guess just going to kind of show what what draper in the boys have come to in
the year of our Lord, whichever it will be probably 2012. So they're just going to curve
it all around and have it all wrapped up in a nice little bow at the end of the season.
I guess I hope. Now, if you want to be one of the greatest finalists of all time, you
got a long way to go to catch up the battle song. But that, that, that to me, still one
of the greatest, probably the greatest series finale ever. And let's say has somebody on
that cast waking up next to Bob Newhart or something. There you go. That's what they're
going to do it for TV talk. You are listening to the clubhouse podcast. Go, go to our website
at www dot the clubhouse of robincoady.com. And we actually have a merchandise store T shirts.
We still have the $30 offer available. It's still unfulfilled. And this, the burden may
have to fall to you on this. I'll just let you know. I guess again. No, it's only a third
of it for ten bucks. Oh, I thought you meant to pretend. No, because with Cody going,
somebody has to pick up his ten bucks. Not that you've been producing the kid. Any of
our listeners are with child. And I know we have a listener whose sister is with child.
And you give birth to said child. And then you're very first picture that they take
of the nursery. If your child is wearing our anything with our logo on it that you can
get from our shop brought to you by cafe press, we will give you $30 cash. We have a little
baby skull cap. It's 11 bucks. You now made 200% profit. And we will put that picture
on our website. We have the technology. That should be our like default image on the
U stream channel. I think that would be cool. All right. Let's talk a little NBA. What's
to say? NBA lockout day one thirty eight. We are now almost at half of a year. It came
out today. Actually, on Monday morning, it came out that the union has disbanded. How
this differs from the wording the NFL use when they were desertifying it. Basically, now
it's one big class action suit that the players are going to bring against the league. Here's
the interesting part. This is so bad. Have you heard about the lawyers? No, there are, excuse
me. There are two lawyers involved in this deal. The two lawyers are the two lawyers that
were on opposite ends of the table for the NFL union versus they're together and they're
representing the players. What? Yes, sir. This came down late last night. That cannot
be. Now, officially right now, games have been canceled through December the 5th. I've
said it before and I'll say it again. The NBA does not play this season. No, the deadline
has been put forth. If they don't have a deal by the first week in January, it will
be official. A lot of people think it's an official now. It is not official right now. It
might as well. If you're right, but in a court of public opinion, it is. But on paper
right now, if they do a deal tomorrow, they would play their first game December the 16th.
I cannot. You got a lot of these players playing overseas. Yeah. A couple of them were shocked
about the way things are in China. It's like, do you know? Breathe. It's a communist country.
Dumb O. Well, they're paying me. Well, it's making you absolutely right. A lot of it is
because of it's all green. Until this year, till this bargaining was up, the players got
57% of the revenue. Well, with the new agreement, the owners wanted 50 50 and I said this
with the NFL problem. It's very simple. If I own a company, I want my people to get
paid, but I want my money back on my investments. Right. The back of the owners were only getting
43% in the collective bargaining. Amazing. Yeah. They're not going to play. How is it to you?
I was at the you own a business and you don't make more than the people that are just nuts.
I was watching a, I watch a YouTube show called the Philip DeFranco Show, which I'm a huge fan of.
And he said today, you want to go somewhere and make $20 million. Learn how to swing a baseball.
Pretty fun. I'm like, okay. And that could be the best opinion on this NBA lockout I've heard so far.
Here's the thing, kids. This is going to get ugly or fork. It's any prettier. Uh-huh. And David Stern.
David Stern is the kind of guy that will tell you where to go how to get there to give you a bus ticket. Yeah. Yeah.
And he already has. He's a no nonsense. Take no prisoners kind of guy.
I don't agree that he's telling. He's saying that the players are doing this to themselves.
But when they, when they disbanded the union, he was like, oh, no, this is the worst thing that could have done it.
But there was something he said about that was kind of funny. If they haven't done it by now.
What makes them think this is the right time to do it. Yeah, no kidding.
But again, by them disbanding the union, they can now bring one huge class action suit against the owners.
I just, I just don't see how that helps anything.
But can I tell you who, who has really surprised me how quiet he's been in this whole thing?
A guy in this fair bird. They mark you. Oh, yeah. I cannot believe how. Now, apparently right now he's in the ring to buy the Dodgers.
So he's got his own thing. No, maybe that's why he doesn't want to do anything to clear the deal on that.
Could be because I mean, people have such a negative opinion about him anyway.
And if he starts flapping his gums, it's not going to help him at all.
But that's really what's going on in the in the NBA.
I mean, what else can you talk about is watching a bad situation get worse. It's all we're really doing at this point.
Sorry, I'm trying to get my computer to catch up to me.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast. We're here every Tuesday nights.
Make sure that you are a registered user right here on you stream. You can get in the chat room.
You can also get some alert set up that will let you know when we go live.
So, you know, because sometimes people forget. I don't forget because I produce the show. I have to be there.
Pull yourself away from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 long enough to give the show a shot.
You did. Yes, I did. And that took some doing.
That game is greatness there. I haven't heard anybody that said otherwise.
Believe it or not, they've actually done a Wii version of that game.
I am finding that we games like that are harder to play.
They're almost ridiculous. They're impaired. They're technologically impaired.
But there's a game coming up for the Wii next week that everybody's going to be talking about.
The next Zelda. That really comes out there. That comes out on the 20th.
That thing has gotten such amazing reviews.
Well, you know what that sound means? It means we're going to talk a little pro-resting right now.
First and foremost, man. If you know the name Mark Canterbury.
And I do. He was a Godwin back in the day.
This guy had a, what was it? A hog slot match with Hunter Hurst Helmsley before he was the game.
He was injured in a car accident over the weekend and Scott, those of his lungs have been punctured.
He is actually improving. He's doing better, but they've still got to get his lungs healed up before they can do anything else.
Also from the injury department.
We learned that Christian got a high ankle sprain on the European tour.
He will not work the match at Survivor Series.
Dolph Ziegler will be taking his place in the Survivor Series elimination match.
Apparently we can only have one of these again.
Let's talk a little impact. Found out this weekend.
That the people of impact are actually teaming up now with a little company called OVW.
Formerly the Farm Organization for WWE.
Now the Farm Organization for TNA.
Because they just want to keep following them to don't want to take the lead.
But that is also owned by Dangerous Danny Davis if you remember him back in the day.
And JBL's got a piece of it too.
He actually bailed them out of some severe financial problems.
So we have the Root Storm thing happen again.
But you know what? I'm going to give credit where credits do here.
If you had gone, come to me three weeks ago and said,
one of these guys is turning field.
Tell me which one.
I would have said James Storm up one wall and down the other.
Because Root as a face, both of them were over but Root was so over.
So I was really kind of surprised and gave them credit for turning him field.
I was actually impressed by that.
We weren't sure if AJ was actually going to compete in that match at turning point
because he had an ankle injury.
Kidcash sat in on some commentary during impact.
Raise your hand if you knew Kidcash had been in the industry for 20 years.
Depending on the name he was working under.
To me he's, let me look it up but he's always been Kidcash.
I remember he was Kidcash in ECW.
But I was just kind of like...
He looks like a young Kevin Green.
He's got tats all the way up where his arm around his neck but...
I would swear he'd had a different name at some point.
I'm going to look at this up for you right now.
Oh let's see, let me go down the list.
Kidcash, Kidcash, David Jericho, Davey Morton, Davey Pisano,
Davey Tyler, Davey Tash, Dee Dee Taylor and Crow.
David Jericho.
That's what it says on Wikipedia.
Wow, that took guts.
I mean that's...
He held the ECW World Television Championship Worms.
He was in Juggalo Championship wrestling.
Oh, speaking of Jericho, do you hear about his tweets over the weekend?
No, what's going on?
Apparently he got drunk out of his head.
He was doing shots in front of his computer.
Nice.
And sit, swore up and down.
He would never wrestle in the WWE against.
At least that's what he says this week.
Don't believe it.
He was actually the WWE Cruiserweight Championship one time.
So I was like, really, you've been in the business 20 years.
Still don't care.
Footnote.
Then we're joined a little bit later at the broadcast table by a Bjorn Rebny.
Who?
I'm glad you asked.
Bjorn Rebny is the founder and president of Bellator Fighting.
Oh, really?
Currently featured on MTV2.
Here's how I've found this interesting.
Who owns MTV2?
Who owns MTV2?
I know who owns MTV.
Who would be?
Viacom.
Who also owns?
Oh.
Go ahead.
Who also owns?
You go ahead.
SpikeTV.
Who's about to lose?
Who's about to lose?
The UFC.
Right.
So now what I'm wondering is if we're setting this up for Bellator to move from a channel
that five people watch a day, choose Spike to try to fill that UFC.
And it's a void.
It's a vast void that UFC is going to leave.
Oh, absolutely.
I don't know that Bellator Fighting is going to be UFC, but it's calculated risk.
Yeah.
It's worth taking a shot.
So we'll see.
I found that interesting.
It is interesting.
I never would have made it.
It's better than today.
I don't think I'll take it that much.
And also, Viacom is now the majority owner of Bellator Fighting.
Interesting.
The plot.
That came up.
The plot keeps ticking.
Then you had turning point.
They have there.
That's their post-Restylmania.
If you want to call it pay-per-view on Sunday.
The only things of interest.
Robbie E of the Shore.
Because not the Jersey Shore.
It's just the Shore.
It's your new TV champ.
So let that sink in.
And Gail Kim is now your knockout champ.
So she's now co-holder of the knockout's tag belts and your knockout champion.
So I think we all have it last time.
She got to push.
Wow, an organization with a tag division.
Now we'll come up later, sir.
Let's talk a little bit of Smackdown.
I hate that version of AJ's theme.
Ginger Mahal.
What do you say?
Like that push lasted what a month.
I never good.
I never understood why he got to push in the first.
I saw him in the ring.
First of all, he was already in the ring.
He didn't even get his entrance.
Yeah, never a good.
It was already in the ring.
You're losing.
Yeah.
And the guy's got skills.
He's very athletic.
But it takes more than skills.
Watch tough enough one season.
It takes a lot more than skills.
Ring skills anyway.
You got to have the whole ball of wax.
And not get suspended for 30 days.
Yeah, that kind of hurts.
Jackwagon that guy.
Then we found out that Epico is now going to be around for a while.
Because he's hanging out with Unico that is spelled with an H.
And Spanish, the H is silent.
It is Unico.
And Prima?
One of these kids is doing his own thing.
One of these kids just is the same.
Prima's not Mexican.
And if Unico's going to come out and his name's going to be in the colors of the Mexican flag.
He's definitely.
Are you support to reek him?
I'm sorry.
Not the same.
Well, and what nationality was Yokozuna?
Yokozuna was Samoa.
I mean, the brother had a way problem.
He couldn't help it.
He thought they said for years he was actually Hispanic.
For years, he's Rocky's cousin.
For years they did say he was Hispanic.
I'm like.
But they're okay, whatever.
I just don't, don't, just don't, okay.
Don't try Prima.
I didn't realize he was still with the company.
Don't even try to make sense of this.
You're looking for logic in an illogical world.
We are dabbling in the WWE universe.
No, you're not going to debate that.
You're absolutely right.
Oh.
They rely on the suspension of belief.
Or sometimes the suspension of disbelief as they will often say in this quote.
Moving on.
Speaking of things.
We moved to RAW last night.
I forgot last night was a three hour RAW until I actually got home.
Because I was going to sit, because I had, I still hadn't watched Smackdown yet.
So I had to watch Smackdown and RAW before the show today.
And I got home and I went, there's no way I'm going to do this tonight.
It's just not possible.
No way did that need to be a three hour RAW because it felt like a nine hour.
Oh, it's so dead.
It's so dead.
It has become such an uphill climb.
Just like, like a Wesley Snipes said in blade trying to ice skate up a hill.
Yeah, well, we do exactly say it that way.
But there was a couple other words involved.
Indeed, I was, that was very, but we did have them up.
Maybe I was to know why it was three hours.
I don't know.
Maybe they weren't sure if.
Well, no, because they started an hour early.
I was just saying, I was, I wasn't sure if they were worried that Brocky wasn't going to make it in time.
But it was an hour early, not an hour late.
Well, they're trying to give you more bang for your buck leading to the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series.
I don't know.
It didn't make any sense.
And it was not okay.
I'm so glad you said that because I had the same problem with that that I had with WrestleMania three years ago.
I thought you would.
It is not the 25th anniversary of the rumble.
It is the 25th rumble.
The 25th anniversary of the rumble is next year.
Yeah.
Just like WrestleMania 25 was WrestleMania 25.
It wasn't the 25th anniversary.
You're a year shy there, Haas.
It drives me nuts.
Do math.
Actually, I just renamed it.
Originally, I named it.
You don't want to do it, math.
Why do you want to make other people do that?
Because I originally named it the title of the episode and she's hopped.
And now it's called doing math.
I'm now changing the name of this episode.
Well, we did get the Michael Cole challenge last night and not on the pay-per-view, which I am so thankful for.
Because I was like, they're going to do this at Survivor Series.
And it's going to be 10 minutes of my life.
I'm never going to get back.
It's still 10 minutes of life.
I'm never going to get back.
But I'm not having to do it on the pay-per-view.
This is the, how long do we have to deal with this?
Seriously?
How long do we have to put up with this garbage that they're trotting out there with this?
I don't know how manufactured and how true to life this feud is.
Jim Ross.
JR.
I met him last year at an Oklahoma game.
Wonderful human being.
No doubt.
Nothing but respect for this man.
This hurts my heart.
It does, yeah.
Exactly.
This literally makes my heart hurt.
Every time they show him on camera just reacting to the things that Cole says,
you could tell that this is so much more than just a storyline.
You could tell that he just grits his team.
I don't know.
I don't know if, to him it's more than a storyline.
I think to him, I don't think he cares about Cole either way.
It's the fact that they keep doing this to him.
Yes.
It's not Cole.
It's just that the company is doing this.
The creative is putting him through this.
It's ridiculous.
No one's enjoying it.
Least of all Jim Ross.
None of us are.
Man's in the hall of fame.
Uh huh.
The man is a freaking legend.
I mean, if you're trying to continually build heel heat against Cole,
you're done past that exit about 15 exits ago.
Yeah.
We don't need to be doing it.
And he does it's not a good heel.
No.
He's a weasily heel.
And it's kind of like when Jericho first went heel.
He got better as a heel as the years went on.
He's talking about the always looking for the legal loophole Jericho.
Yes.
Yeah.
Or Christian in his current heel state.
Yeah.
Just annoying.
There's no need for this.
You're not an evil person.
You're just a jerk.
Either let JR go work backstage or let him be at the desk.
Stop teasing him.
One or the other because this bit, it's degrading to a man who has done nothing
to nobody.
Yeah.
And I mean, literally how long has he been put through the ringer at the table?
Just at the table this year alone.
Oh, I've lost count.
I've absolutely lost count.
They pretty much started at WrestleMania as a best I can recall.
And it's just been a downhill slide ever since.
Just ended for the love of all that is good and holy in this thing.
And then a limo pulls up and you hear this.
Mick Foley returns to WWE where quote, I belong this week.
Never was a fan of this theme though.
I like this thing.
I like the, you know what it's playing off of.
That's the theme I like.
It's just a rip on the cactus Jack.
Yeah.
Basically.
But you know what I couldn't get past.
The haircut.
Yes.
That's the only, what are you doing?
Did you lose a bet?
Has Mick ever had a good haircut?
Except when it was long and scraggly.
Yeah.
That's when he looked good.
By Mick's standards anyway.
And if you don't believe love is blind.
Have you ever seen Mick's wife?
Oh yeah.
Because even Mick will tell you.
Don't know how this would work out.
It's like Kevin the Schwabock.
I married him so far over by hand.
Yeah.
I married him so far over my head.
It's not even funny.
Overplayed the coverage is how I like the same.
One of my wife's uncles once said.
Yeah.
We kind of married up didn't we?
Is that how we overplayed our coverage?
But that haircut.
Man.
He was, it was like Pat from Saturday Night Live.
Is what it looks like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's.
And I'm sure a couple of people.
A bad 70s perm.
A bunch of people.
A chat room.
Who?
What?
Look at that.
Yeah.
Google it.
Not during the show.
But Foley returned.
And then, I mean, I was like, great.
I love Foley.
And now it's going to be like an intermediate between scene and the rock.
And we're going to have some.
I know.
We had to do John Cena.
This is your life.
You know why?
You know why they did this.
Because he did it for the rock.
And what is the one thing?
Anytime we talk about the rock, this is your life.
What is it?
The one thing you always mentioned.
Highest rated segment in the history of rock.
There you go.
But did they think they were going to duplicate those numbers?
Maybe so.
But I'll tell you something.
They were in Boston, right?
Uh-huh.
Cena's from Worcester, right?
Uh-huh.
I have never heard a face.
I much less say Massachusetts native.
Get booed like that in this home state since Dane Cook.
And it's funny that you mentioned that because the lovely Mrs.
looked at me and she goes, well, I guess they don't too much care for scene in Massachusetts.
I'm like, he's from Massachusetts.
That's what I'm saying.
He's from there.
Wow.
I was like, did Dane Cook just walk out?
For those of you that don't know, Dane Cook is from Boston.
They did a survey of all of the comedians from the Boston area.
He came in dead last.
Wow.
You know?
Does that seem like it's kind of a disturbing trend in the WWE lately?
Beth doesn't get the win in Buffalo.
Kofi gets pinned in Boston.
He's from Ghana.
Yeah, sure he is.
And have you seen his Twitter pic?
Not from Ghana.
He's from Boston.
We corrected this on the show if you remember.
I know.
He is from Ghana.
He just lives in Boston now.
Yeah, sure.
I actually know he lives in LA now.
Yeah, well.
But why is it that these folks cannot get any love whatsoever in front of their hometown crowd?
I don't know what's going on.
JR and Oklahoma, didn't they?
Give me a break, guys.
That's where the Michael Cole challenge started.
Yes.
I'm like, why is it that you have to make these folks look so bad when they know everybody in their family is either in the arena or watching at home?
Here is my first note that I wrote down when we started seeing that this is your life.
And this is all in caps.
Literally, this is how I wrote it.
I cannot believe we're doing this.
I think that's why they did it because they actually thought they had a chance.
Well, it worked for the rock.
Maybe it'll work this time.
Now, the payoff is totally worth it.
No, it's getting me wrong.
I mean, I got five more people back there.
Rock rubs down.
Rock bottoms him and leaves.
That made me happy.
Who was it?
Was it Lawson that said in his music, just never even stopped playing.
He comes in.
Rock bottoms him and it takes off.
Didn't even have to stop it.
Just boom.
And we're going to talk more about Rocky here in a minute.
I do want to go back a little bit.
Congratulations, Cody Rhodes.
You now are not wearing the mask anymore.
Thank the Lord.
I am so sick of it.
New theme, everything.
I didn't hear the theme as well.
Oh, yeah.
There's a completely different theme.
New entrance video they had to because the mask was featured too.
Oh, probably.
And by the way, do we need booby cannon?
No.
I was wondering.
Do you want to say about that?
They showed that footage and I was like, you know what?
I didn't even watch Smackdown back then.
Neither did I.
But they didn't get on a really watch a lot of Smackdown now either.
I was just waiting for him to say like, woo, woo, woo, you know it.
I seen it in the fishing hat.
I thought was kind of wheels off for me.
Did you just step off the, it says minnow?
I'm just waiting for the day where he comes out.
Just one time.
I don't care if it's in a house show.
That he comes out to mark you marking the funky bunch.
Just one time.
There's two it for me.
One time.
I don't think there's, there's not a doubt in my mind that it hasn't happened at some point.
Just not around.
No, but it would have, it would have had been documented.
Oh, come on.
And I want to send a memo to Kevin Nash.
Because I will send memos to people from time to time.
Because I want help me help you.
For a while, I took Michael Cole under my wing.
It didn't work.
No.
But Kevin Nash, keep the beard.
The beard looks great, but finish the mustache.
Yes.
You're driving me nuts with the, with the John Waters thing.
Stop it.
It looks so, I don't know what got into his head that he thinks that that looks good on him.
Because he, I'm starting to wonder if that's the only mustache he can cry.
He can get an eyebrow pencil.
For the love of God.
But I guess now he's just going to do this, this bit where he's just going to squash everybody until H comes back.
What are we setting ourselves up for?
It's, it's going to be H him, but we're, we're still at least two weeks out from H's return.
I think that there's going to be some kind of TLC's next month.
I think you have some kind, I think they're going to go, I hope they don't, but I think you're looking at a ladder match.
Or a cheers match.
Kevin and H in a ladder match.
You heard it here first.
Oh my gosh.
The potential for disaster there is almost spine chilling.
I think it, but if they get the ladder that Frenchie had, money in the bank last year, then you're fine.
If they took from a playground and just made into a ladder.
Again, we've got to at least have some sort of an underlying suspicion that somewhere, at some point, Shawn gets involved.
But I don't want that.
I don't want it either, but you know it's coming.
You know it's coming.
I don't want that.
That's the X.
What is the one thing that these two share more than anything else?
I know.
Besides Waltman is, you're never going to see him in that.
He's doing a VIP party somewhere in the same town that Rumble's going to be in that way.
Yeah, I saw that he's got a Billy Gunner here on the stage.
Mr., Mr. Bitter.
Just, just slightly.
Bitter Ace, Billy Gunner.
Bitter Ace, Billy Gunner.
You have a guest host next week on Raw because we need a guest host on the night after a pay-per-view.
Of course.
Welcome to the WWE Jonah Hill.
Well, he's got a movie to promote.
Oh, yeah, that babysitter.
The sitter.
And that, I'm sorry, dude.
Have you seen the 21 Jump Street trailer?
No.
That's a trailer up right now.
Oh, it looks funny.
I mean, does he play the Peter Deleway's role?
Yes.
Does he?
Yes.
Okay.
I'm on a warfare three.
His commercial spot with...
She is.
She is just brilliant.
You know, I worked that into a job interview last week.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You did tell me about that.
That's pretty.
That's kind of a cool moment, I thought.
Bet you wish you played a little bit more on a warfare.
No, I knew it would have to be dangerous.
But he's going to be hosting Raw next week, so be ready for that.
It's going to be Jeremy Piff and all over again.
I'm looking up 21 Jump Street trailer right now.
That's like cold game.
He so needs a new theme song.
Yes, thank you.
He needs a new theme song.
Jonah Hill wrote...
There's a co-writer on 21 Jump Street.
Depp is slated to be in it.
Who?
Depp.
Oh, is he?
Yeah, I'm going to IMDB.
Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum.
Is playing Jenko.
L.A. Kemper from the offices in this?
Yeah, I never watched the show.
Oh, the very hot, breathed Larsen is in this.
Ice Cube is playing Captain Dixon.
Oh, please.
Mr. I have no street cred.
Rob Riggles in it, I'm in.
I mean, I'm in on this thing.
It comes out next year.
16th March, if I watched the TV show,
the original I'd probably might be interested,
but I have no interest really going in,
because I never watched it.
I'm in.
And I enjoyed the original series.
And plus Depp's character in the original
I had the exact same name as my youth director
when I was in high school.
It was Tom Hansen.
Then we get to the end.
I've said it before.
I'll say it again.
And I'll probably say it a thousand more times
before this life is over.
Dwayne Johnson.
Nobody cuts a promo better.
Nobody.
I've one point I've ever heard.
And Cena, thanks for trying.
Yeah.
But there's no way you can cut a promo
that would be in the ballpark of that man.
Every time rock would say something,
and Cena would say something in response,
it was just, you could hear the hamster just churning
in his hand.
Was that as good?
No.
No.
The answer is no.
Dude, it's like when I texted you today,
and I said the quote of rock saying,
Cena's lady parts now trending worldwide,
finisher.
That was the finisher.
There's nothing he could do that was going to come back
from that.
Nothing.
And the in the back of rocky shirt.
Boots to asses.
I was like, I like, but I like to captain C on the front of it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I remember saying again, turning to the wife,
I'm like, you watch, that's going to come up as a trending topic.
He will mention the slogan on the back.
But it was kind of funny because you know he was waiting for the chance.
You knew he was.
When the rest of that text, you look at his face
when they started the boots.
The look on his face was priceless.
Because nobody could hold a room like him.
Nobody came.
You are in Massachusetts.
You are dogging out the hometown hero with no effort.
At least he makes it look effortless.
He always does.
Unbelievable.
I give him respect for getting up at three o'clock in the morning.
Going down his entire itinerary.
Going to New Orleans.
Filming a scene from the next GI Joe.
Then jumping on a plane.
Then coming to Massachusetts and doing wrong.
Stopping by the north side.
But couldn't stop.
No, just smell the Italian food.
That guy.
Oh my gosh.
I love you.
Genius.
Genius.
Genius.
Even as a heal.
The guy was genius.
I know we have some people in our little circle
that say I could take him or leave him.
This business needed him so badly this year.
I'm interested to see how the ring rust is on Sunday.
I think we all know how this is going to end.
He's going to turn on Cena.
It's going to have to be after the match.
Just watching.
What did that rock when he rock bottom?
Both of them just got out of the ring.
Gotta go.
I mean.
Did he look like he just finished his last match last week?
You say ring rust?
I don't see any at all.
He looks when he pulled that rock bottom.
It looked as clean as he did years ago.
I hope there's no ring rust.
I'm just expecting there to be.
I'm sure there has to be.
But what little bit you've seen him do in the ring
in these past several months?
Doesn't look like he's missed a step.
And that's going to do it for wrestling talk.
Make sure you join us on Sunday at Fox 100 Richards in Texas
for Survivor Series.
The last major of the year.
You believe it's November, sir?
No.
Let's do a little music talk.
Can I get a song to play, please?
On the clubhouse.
I'm seeing it.
It's supposed to play.
It's not playing right now.
Oh, hey.
Wrong one.
This is the karaoke version.
Took a minute.
Ouch.
That happens to me from time to time.
Lost in the music community this week.
This was a...
This hit me hard.
And kids, if you don't know who this is,
look it up.
Doyle-Bram Hall senior passes away this past week
at the age of 62.
He co-wrote the song you're listening to right now
if the house is rocking.
Stevie Ray Vaughn also collaborating with his brother, Jimmy Vaughn.
Also, life by the drop.
He also co-wrote.
And looking up the window.
He will be missing the next.
Absolutely.
I mean, this will be felt far and wide.
He had a gig.
Here in Dallas booked.
For, I think, two weeks from Saturday.
Wow.
Yeah.
At the Grenada.
The Greatest.
You're a local.
You've never been to the Grenada Theater.
Do yourself solid.
You know what?
I never have.
Can I tell you what I've done there?
What's that?
I saw a movie there.
These ones.
You saw a movie at the Grenada?
What?
They used to do movies.
I know they did.
I saw Mimic there.
Oh, chill.
That's right.
Okay, that's right.
I've also seen the Holy Grail there.
Where do we go see the Holy Grail at the Lakewood?
It's like with you.
Yeah.
But I've seen the Holy Grail there.
Wow.
And they do a great presentation for like Super Bowl parties and stuff too.
I want to say my daughter has been there for something.
I want to say she took a school trip there to go see.
Megan, have you been to the Grenada?
I want to say it was like a Christmas play.
I got to remember we're seven-second delay.
Yeah, I know.
That's a way to hear from her.
I'm pretty sure.
Yes.
What did you see there, my love?
It's a wonderful life, was it?
Because I still don't have the chat room up in front of me.
Okay.
I've just asked her.
She says she thinks she's been there.
What do you think you saw there?
Something got censored that she said.
Oops.
Oops.
I think she censored herself.
Somehow I doubt that.
What awesome things.
Well, obviously something awesome if she's been there.
Oh, of course.
Everybody and their brother is played the Grenada at some point.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thanks for the quote.
Then it could, I'm sure it would probably be like this Christmas thing or something.
I think it was.
I want to say that she went on a school trip to see its a wonderful life there.
But he will be missed.
Our best go out to the family and friends of Dolebrandt, hall senior.
Interscope records.
Has signed a ban.
Let me just throw this on you.
Wow.
What have never have guessed that?
Van Halen signs with inner scope records they will be releasing a brand new album in 2012 with David Lee Roth.
The quicker this gets to best buy the better off I'm going to beat brother.
I'm on board. I saw them on that reunion tour two or three years ago.
I went with some friends of ours. They were great. They were great.
Dave's still getting it done vocally. I think a lot of the background vocals were actually tracks.
Because it was a little too clean on the harmonies. But Wolfgain can play. The kid can play.
Movie speaking of people getting back together. This blew my mind.
There was a press conference that was called last week and people were going as black Sabbath.
Calls of press conference and what we all thought was going to happen happened.
Ozzy has once again reunited with Sabbath which normally that's not as big of a story.
However, they will release the first new album together in over three decades next year.
So you're going to get a brand new Van Halen album with David Lee Roth.
You're going to get a brand new Sabbath album with Ozzy.
Do we just time warp back to like 1980 waters?
I'm okay with it. I'm totally okay with it.
Michael Anthony would remove his head from his tookus and stop playing with Sammy Haylar.
I like Wolfgain. Don't get me wrong.
But he's don't Michael Anthony. It's kind of funny when you go back and you look at the video for right now.
There's that one scene where it says right now Michael Anthony is considering a solo album.
You're like, yeah, he's not the guy that's going to leave you.
Yeah, isn't it ironic?
Then you've got a huge mega tour.
If you are a fan of country music, it's going to go down in June.
And this is maybe dead silent right now.
Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are doing a stadium tour this summer.
It's going to start June 2nd in the great city of Tampa, Florida.
June 9th, one week later, they will be playing Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
It will wrap August the 25th at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
If you want to go to that, I'm saying this.
If you're going to go that concert, bring a checkbook.
And a change of clothes.
I'm also going to say this.
This will probably be, in my opinion, Tim McGraw's last big tour.
You think?
I think he's just about to the point.
That's true.
And he was on Letterman and Dave said,
Well, why do you keep doing this?
And he said, Dave, my wife just retired.
I've got three daughters and they all like persons and shoes.
Oh, yeah, and I'm sure that her singing the football theme doesn't pay a dime.
But I think that Tim's just about ready to retire.
The guy's got nothing left to prove.
Yeah.
He's a great artist.
I think he's done some great stuff.
Now, wait, do you think he retires from touring?
Or do you think he retires from recording?
Really?
Because he won't do one without the other.
This isn't a Beatles after Sargent Pepper forward problem.
I think there are still a pretty decent share of artists out there
that will record an album, but not necessarily tour to support it.
It's doable.
You know, it's not in the same age.
You have to tour.
You have to.
Take a deep breath.
Here we go.
Oh, boy.
This is going to hurt.
Some people will consider 2011 the year of Rebecca Black.
There are people out there.
That's a very short one.
It takes all kinds.
I don't know if I now have a problem with Rebecca Black.
But I am sick and tired of America and the world ripping off the show.
I'm going to play you the new Rebecca Black single.
I really wish you wouldn't, but please.
And wait until we get to the chorus.
Just wait for it.
I'm just counting the seconds.
I wish you could see the picture on my screen right now from YouTube of her holding a microphone.
She likes that.
She likes that too.
She likes that.
She likes that.
I could tell.
There's a crime scene on the dance floor.
I feel myself being getting stupider by the second.
Police, I'm going to save him the fucker of the dance floor.
Person of interest.
Not only the CBS rip off a segment of the show,
but Rebecca Black is now ripping off a section of the show.
I want to know why there's police tape on the front door of the dance floor.
Dude, kill this.
Kill it.
Kill it with fire.
Kill it with fire.
Thank you, Beavis.
I just want to cleanse this for you real quick.
No power cleanser for you.
Okay, thank you.
But you know what?
I mean, if you look at the picture of this single, I guess you can call it,
somebody's paying for this.
Somebody in America is paying for this.
We're all going to be paying for it soon.
And this was first posted on Sunday.
It already has over 11,000 hits on YouTube.
What did we say at the beginning of the show?
Nobody ever went broke under arrest committing the intelligence of the American public.
I just love person police tape across the front door of a dance floor.
Because the dance, all dance floors have front doors on them.
Stab her with car.
And that's what I have to say with that.
Music new releases this week.
For the kids with the clothes in the hair.
Webby releases Savage Life 3.
Do I have to ask the question?
Who's Webby?
Who the heck is Webby?
I don't think I have any of his stuff.
I know a sports bar I used to work at.
Other than a nickname for Spider-Man.
Oh, wow.
I do have something off of his.
I don't know if I can play it.
No, Megan, I'm not talking about you when I say Spider-Man.
Webby's a rapper.
That's what I've got.
He did a song called Independent Once.
Got nothing.
He once did a song with Jamie Foxx and a little boozy called White Knee Down.
And Chad is now useless for the next five to ten minutes.
Let me guess.
L-I-L apostrophe.
Boozy.
P-O-O-S-I-E.
Yes, sir.
That's what I got.
Move on.
Then we have a new album.
This is actually the third album.
But the first time you'll be able to buy an album.
His first two albums are available for free on his website.
I've never heard of this guy before.
Childish Gambino.
If you don't know who this is, this is a guy by...
I just lost his name.
His name literally just...
He's on what show again?
Donald Glover is his name.
He is on...
Community.
Community.
Okay.
He plays Troy.
That alter ego is named Childish Gambino.
I love this stuff.
It is...
You asked me earlier if it was like this lonely island thing.
It's not.
It is honest to God hip-hop.
It's him and his roommate from college doing this.
I love this stuff.
I think it's good.
Glover.
Is he by any chance?
No.
Okay.
Not related to Corey Ordani.
Okay.
Check it out.
You check out his first two albums.
He has an EP and an album called Cult of Sack on the Web.
You can get for free.
Okay.
Go check it out.
I like this stuff.
It's kind of...
New hip-hop.
It was a little bit of a Nelly flavor.
It was a little bit of old school.
I like it.
Also, today...
Do you want to skip this one and come back?
Why would I want to skip this?
I asked him.
You want me to save it for last?
It's a mess.
Okay.
Yes, sure.
Also, today, Quadrothenia by the Hood of the Director's Cut
Deluxe Edition hits your store today.
I think it wants to know if we can call in the show.
Not yet.
You're working on it.
Yeah, that's a technology that's a little bit farther off from us.
That's why we have the chat room right now.
Then there's this.
Andrea Bocelli.
Live in Central Park.
Absolute greatness.
You have a very personal connection.
Yes, I do.
Yes, I do.
I wasn't really familiar with Andrea Bocelli
until my brother introduced me to his music several years ago.
It was right around the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
And he was your opening ceremony sky.
Unbelievable, tenor.
He is blind.
Yes, he is.
Yes, he is.
Yes, he is.
And the dude will sing the darts on it.
Oh, just incredibly gifted vocalist.
I'm trying to remember the line of pasta that they have TV ads for
where he is the singing voice of that ad campaign.
He reminds his vocally.
He reminds me a lot of a young paparotti.
But his because he's got that power.
Yeah.
And that presence.
And you know, some people will will take you to task for that.
But I don't I disagree.
The man has.
If if if heaven has a voice, it sounds like Andrea Bocelli.
I know a lot.
In my opinion.
And I will forever be in my mother's dead for introducing me to this.
Megan says she's pretty sure it's Bertoli.
Pasta.
No, she.
No, I don't think it's Bertoli.
That's that's her favorite pasta.
That's good.
Yes, it is.
But no, this is.
I want to say Lassani or something like that.
You'll know when you see it.
Yeah, because it's all over the his voice is all over the commercials.
But absolutely wonderful.
I will have to go pick this up.
I will have to go find this.
And live in Central Park, you know, it's going to be good.
Yeah, because I've got two of his live albums already.
And they're all just quality stuff.
That is going to do it for music talk.
Again, you are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
I am Rob joined by Chad.
Make sure you follow us on Twitter.
Our show feed is clubhouse WRNC.
My personal Twitter account is yes, that Rob Irvin Irvin is still ERVIN.
And mine is at chat MPG 69.
There you go.
Also follows on Facebook.
Look up the clubhouse podcast on Facebook.
He's breaking headlines on our page.
I tried to as often as I can.
You can also listen to the show live on our Facebook page as well.
If you're having problems with the you stream.
Indeed.
Let us get to the song.
The segment of the show that Rebecca Black is ripped off.
It is time for person of interest.
What person of interest is it's kind of something that we go back and forth.
We did not do it on last week's show because we were running short on time.
Looking forward to getting into that one though we actually do have time.
Absolutely.
Probably do that one next week.
This is a personal or an entity that one of us brings up.
And we talk about, are they great?
Chad, you had it this week.
Go ahead and start.
This is something that I have discussed with you at length.
Absolutely.
Several times.
And really thought that this needed to be addressed on the air.
The tag team division in the WWE.
Where the heck is it?
We have talked about that on this show multiple times that apparently Vince hates tag teams.
There was a time when you had, you were more interested in tag teams and there were some changes.
Absolutely.
I mean, I remember going into the going to Toys R Us and wanting to buy the two packs of the bushwhackers of the Legion of Doom.
Our foundation.
The list can go on for it.
They can go live bulk off in the air and cheat.
Uh-huh.
I mean, you can go through the DVD that was released.
The rockers.
When did that DVD set come out?
It's been a few, you know.
It's been a few.
Last year that you're more.
Miz and Morrison were still together.
Okay.
It's called Allied Powers, the best tag team.
Right.
I own this.
I dare you to come up with a sequel to this thing from when they cut it off.
Because you can't think of any tag teams that are even around.
Pretty much every tag team that exists in the WWE right now is a forced chemistry experiment to do their work.
But look, look who your tag team champions have been as of recent.
Singles competitors that got put together in a tag team to see if they can.
Your current tag team champions are Evan Bourne who's on the suspension and Kofi Kingston.
Exactly.
Exactly.
They used to be.
Especially since we've got Survivor Series coming up.
Well, you also think about the fact that TNA is going the same way.
You've now broken up the best tag team in the business.
You've really only got two genuine tag teams in TNA right now.
And that's Mexican America and Inc. Inc.
The Motor City machine guns aren't even going to be 100% until at least January or February.
Because we're waiting on the return of Chris Sabin.
This just makes me so sad that.
Because I didn't get into wrestling until much much later.
For those of you that don't know, I've been a wrestling fan since I was 10 years old.
And some would debate even earlier.
I've heard stories told of my early childhood where I was a wrestling fan.
Well, like locally I watched it in the heydays of the Von Erich family.
I watched it sporadically.
But I didn't really get into pro wrestling until like the early 90s.
And the tag team was such a huge, huge part of that fact there.
And the fact that it's pretty much an afterthought, if that.
And I don't know is it because Benz feels like he has to pay double for these guys?
I don't see why.
When you look at the really the only real tag team you have in the WWE right now are the Usos.
I can't tell you the last time they won a match.
I came in the last time I saw them on television.
They were on television last night and got squashed.
They weren't television last night.
No, it was here.
No, smack them.
We'll see. I don't watch a lot of smack now.
Grab kicked out of them.
It's...
I just want to cry.
I just want to cry whenever I'm sitting or watching the entrance videos of some of these great tag teams of days gone by.
In my head hearing the thing.
You remember when the refactions had multiple tag teams just in that faction.
The new age out.
Yes.
Look at all the ones that came out of the NWO.
You know, I don't get it.
I don't get it.
It just seems like an untapped resource.
And JR has set on his Twitter feed on multiple occasions.
Well, the next Legion of Doom, please step up.
The Midnight Rockers.
Yeah.
The Midnight Express.
The Rock and Roll Express.
I don't know why.
We're getting away from this.
The merchandise sells itself in a lot of cases.
Agreed.
You know, and you sell double the merchandise in a lot of cases.
Because you'll sell individual shirts from each member of that tag team.
And your wife is exactly correct.
The tag team don't mean anything.
No, no.
They just weren't we all excited when we saw the new design of the tag team?
When the heart dynasty had them.
Right.
Then Brett brought those out.
The night that he and Sean hung.
That was the same night.
Uh-huh.
And we've done nothing with them since then.
We have to get this curve back around.
We need a tag team to be a viable, serious.
You know what I mean?
I mean, even as recently as, you know, the...
Think about some of the amazing tag team matches we had with the hearties,
with the Dudley's, with Edge and Christian.
Some of the greatest matches in wrestling memory were because of those tag teams.
And we've got nothing even closer than that.
We've got a tag team in the ring.
You can actually go as long as you really want to,
because one guy can rest while the other guys work.
Yeah, that's why it's a tag team.
T&A even has a knockout tag team championship.
Uh-huh.
They don't have any knockouts.
Tag teams per se.
But they're trying to make it work.
I don't get it.
This has been bugging me and bugging me and bugging me.
And I don't even know why it should,
because I know there's nothing I can do about it.
But...
I would love to see them do a tough enough tag teams.
Yes.
I agree.
I agree with you totally.
Something needs to revitalize them.
Apparently you've got a network you need to put some programming on.
Uh, you think?
You think that's where tough enough goes, by the way.
Just as a side bump.
Yeah.
Unless they keep it on USA,
which they could,
because they could still do it if the hour before or off.
But, uh, it's...
Something needs to change.
Something needs to give.
There are so many...
What do we...
How many times have we said about...
Give us an open checkbook?
Yeah, give me an open checkbook in the book for a year.
I would...
I would put so much life back into that tag team division.
Does it need it?
Not going to debate you, sir.
But that's...
That's all I have to say about that.
But check out that allied powers.
It's hosted by the Miz and Morrison.
I don't know how old that is.
But...
It's not as good as I was hoping you would be.
I own it.
But it's a good history lesson.
It's all right.
It doesn't go nearly as in depth as I wished it would.
But it's a...
It's a nice little reminder of what was.
I agree.
I agree.
And what should be again?
I also own the Legion of Doom.
Come on, too.
That documentary's really good.
Talk about some folks that paved the way.
Again, make sure you join us this Sunday for Survivor Series.
Box and Hound, Richardson, Texas.
Just west of Central Expressway on Campbell Road.
North side of the road right behind the McDonald's.
Three dollars get you in the door.
Three bucks.
You can get that out of a change in your glove box.
Or in your ass tray.
Indeed.
And then bring that in and get yourself some great grub.
Some great drink specials as well.
If you are...
Is that your bit?
Not mine.
Not mine anymore, but the food is phenomenal.
I would eat there every day if I could.
It is so far beyond pub grub.
Oh, yo, yeah.
And we have our own private room.
So you're not going to be disturbed by people that don't want to watch the paper view.
Pool tables, dark boards, shuffle boards.
You may be disturbed by the people that are watching the paper.
That is true.
But that just turned into a good one.
And a fun one.
Indeed.
We do have some great people that show up.
They interact with the show.
We're going to be there live.
We have one hour of free show.
There are some fans that show up for this thing.
Yes, sir.
And bring the belt this time.
I've got three of them.
We'll bring one of them.
I'll bring one too if you want me to.
I don't know.
Let us right now go on campus.
If you listen to the playbook with Cody Hawkins on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
Central time, he does a very in depth.
Deal with college football.
We like to touch on college football on this show as well.
Other college things currently.
Duke is up.
Looks like six points with 20 seconds to go with this win.
Mike Shchefsky.
Does he tie or go past?
Does he tie or go past?
Oh gosh.
I'm not sure what the mom is threatening Bob Knight's win record tonight.
Currently ranked number six in the country.
They're up six on Michigan State.
That's on ESPN HD.
We actually have it on ESPN news.
They're both showing it right now.
Okay.
We're going to go straight up to who showed up and who didn't.
But before that, let's go ahead and get you caught up on everything you need to know.
Let me get to that points.
I forgot about that.
Hey, JR.
Yes.
I like college.
There's something about the college football fight song that just kind of fires you up a little bit.
You're current BCS standings.
They usually come out on Sunday evenings.
We're only going to do your top 10 coming in at number 10.
The Mired.
Oh, that's not that wrong.
It's okay.
Boise State drops to number 10 this week with a loss we're going to talk about here in just a moment.
Stand for nine.
Virginia Tech eight.
Clemson seven.
Arkansas six.
Oklahoma who was using me goodness.
Oklahoma was on the buy this week at five.
Oregon four.
Alabama three.
Oklahoma State two.
LSU one.
They're playing very well.
Oklahoma with that loss to tech plus being on the buy this week.
But they're going to be head to head.
First weekend in December because remember the big 12 does not have a championship game anymore.
This is the first year the big 12 has not had a championship game.
So Bedlam now will be your first weekend in December.
And that could literally seal Oklahoma State's fate one way or another.
Who showed up and who didn't this week?
First of all, congratulations again to the University of Houston Cougars.
Beating two lanes seventy three to seventeen.
I have now determined this is just going to become a bit.
Why is that?
Because it's it's it's Houston beaten up on.
Quarterback case kingdom.
22 of 29 for three hundred and twenty five yards and three touchdowns.
Nice sir.
They had thirty first downs to two line sixteen.
Now thirty first downs.
I'm going to let you guess how many third downs they had.
They had thirty first downs.
Yep.
Third downs or third down conversions.
Third downs.
Opportunities.
Twenty two.
Sixteen.
Oh, okay.
I'm sorry.
Thirteen.
Oh, okay.
They only got the third down thirteen times out of thirty.
That's what happens when you score ten touchdowns.
They had two hundred and ninety two yards on the ground.
Two hundred and seven on ten carries went to Charles Sims and he added two touchdowns to it.
He also had five catches for forty five yards.
This guy had two hundred and fifty two all-purpose yards.
He's a wide receiver.
No slouch there.
And if you want to total it up they had seven hundred and thirty five yards of total offense to lane put up three thirty one.
Oh, hey.
Remember the old movie side out?
No.
Half it.
That's what two ended.
They have to.
But no, John, you're absolutely right.
They do play in a crap conference.
But that's why I've said this thing with Houston has just become a bit.
Because I guarantee you you put them in a stadium with Alabama.
LSU or Oklahoma state.
Lauder.
Case Keenam, a great player.
But he's not proving anything on Saturdays that makes me think he can play on Sundays.
There it is, by the way.
Congratulations, Coach Keen.
Congratulations.
I guess this is he's got the record now.
Bob Knight's there.
903 wins.
Passes Bob Knight for most wins in men's division.
And that kind of shocked me because I thought he had that.
I did too.
Coach Keenam, the only coach left in college sports with a lifetime contract.
He and Bowden were the only two.
Gosh.
You gonna fire him?
He's coach freakin' Keenam.
They've already named the court after him and he's still there.
As long as we don't have another Penn State debacle.
Do you know about the way it works over there?
At Duke?
No.
Nobody gets, no students because it's season tickets.
Students camp out the night before home games.
Ticket tickets.
They call it Shoshesky, though.
Coach Keen, his wife, actually go out there and they bring cookies and stuff to you.
Oh, yeah.
I have heard about that.
They've also said that when they played North Carolina in, in Camaritan or Sadium.
You know how the fans jump, jump, jump, jump, jump everybody.
Players have said it, and they have been lifted off the court.
From all of them.
The people hitting the ground.
Yeah.
I've always said, if I win a lottery, I will go see Duke North Carolina at Camaritan or Sadium.
Because that's an experience I have to see.
But you have to have a lottery to do it, unfortunately.
That's true.
Back to Houston.
Wide receiver Patrick Edwards.
Five catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns.
That's insane.
65 yards can't catch.
They punted three times the whole game.
But here's the downfall.
Here's the downside.
Robert Kelly for two lane.
Special teams guy.
He had 168 yards.
So let's show up those special teams a little bit.
Other team had showed up this week.
Congratulations to the University of Georgia with a 45-7 win over Auburn.
Whoa.
Both were ranked.
Georgia was ranked 14 Auburn 24th.
Currently, Georgia sits at 14 again.
Auburn down to, still at 24 in the, in the BCS.
Neither one of them moved.
Very odd.
Krutterback Aaron Murray.
14 for 18 for 224 yards and four touchdowns.
528 yards of total offense.
Do you know what Auburn put up?
195.
Auburn.
That's amazing to me that you helped them to under 200 yards total offense.
They had 304 yards on the ground, 224 in the air.
I always talk on this show about offensive balance.
That's pretty good offensive balance.
They started the year, Georgia started the year 0 and 2.
Since then, they have been 8 and 0.
They're, they're bowl eligible.
I can't say that for my, for my gators yet.
No.
They had 31st downs.
Auburn had nine first downs.
The entire game.
Auburn had nine.
Georgia has awoken.
I don't know what's happened out there.
Maybe they've, they've realized that Mark Rickseats getting a little warm.
I don't know, but they've done something and awoken up.
They were 12 and 15 on third down.
They punted one time.
How tired.
The entire game.
They had two running backs.
Go over the 100 yard mark being Isaiah Crowell and Carlton Thomas.
Let's talk about who didn't show up.
We talked about them just a moment ago.
Stanford.
Is the dream over.
They lost to Oregon.
53 to 30.
The mighty Stanford, the Andrew Luck experience.
And I believe if you listen to this.
This show last week.
I said watch this Oregon game.
They could reach up and bite Stanford on the butt.
And I also listed Oregon as one of my teams to watch this year.
The other one to Nebraska.
We're not talking about that.
The Michael James.
Already the number one rusher in the history of the University of Oregon.
Already has the record.
He went 20 for 146 and three touchdowns on Saturday.
This kid is a beast.
He's the one that followed up.
He and LaGarrett Blunt.
Both out of Oregon.
LaGarrett Blunt is the guy that hit the kid from Boise State.
Now please remind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Michael James.
Don't sleep on him.
He's in the hunt.
I'm telling you.
You're right, Joe.
The Gators have won some games.
But you have to win six games.
Get bow out.
But we have to win one of the next two.
Luckily, we've got firm in this weekend.
I think we can win that game.
I don't know that we can beat four state.
I'll be honest with you.
Wow.
I don't think we can.
In our own house.
I don't think we can beat four state right now.
Oregon had 13 yards less total offense.
Still beat him by 23 points.
Five turnovers.
Three of them were fumbles.
Oregon was one for nine on third down.
And still beat you by 23.
Luck was stacked three times.
But Andrew Luck did have five rushes for negative 13 yards.
My question right now is, can Stanford shake this thing off and finish strong?
They can still finish top five.
I don't think they've got a chance now to go to Baton Rouge without severe meltdowns.
It would take a meltdown.
I would say by almost everybody above them.
Virginia Tech, they might could jump.
Clems in if they can get the ship right.
I think they can hold them off.
Arkansas is playing amazingly well.
Oklahoma is going to be Oklahoma.
Oregon beat them.
So they're automatically going to have a tiebreaker.
Oregon would have to melt down.
Alabama's, I don't think I'm going to lose again.
Oklahoma state with Oklahoma state.
It comes down to Bedlam.
It has to literally and figuratively.
Well, that's the name of the game.
But my other team, I didn't show up this week.
We talked about them a moment ago.
Boise State.
Hey now.
Hey now.
You should dream it's over.
This is what Boise State does every year.
Everybody's talking.
Oh, Boise State is going to bust the BC.
Yes.
Sorry about your bad luck, son.
Your team just kind of just melted it down.
My first note on this was here's the hiccup.
But you lost 3635 to unranked.
Let me let me let me let these next two words settle in.
Unranked TCU.
Oh man.
Quarterback, TCU quarterback Casey Pasco.
He gave him 2437 for 473 yards.
Five touchdowns and a pick.
That Boise State defense that people talk about all the time
gave up 506 yards to Texas Christian University.
Good night.
But Kellyn Moore still a decent day.
28 for 38 for 320 yards and two touchdowns.
I don't know that I put this kid in my personal Heisman conversation.
But I've heard his name thrown out there.
I'm sure he's in somebody's person.
State did not have any receivers over 100 yards.
They had one running back.
Get their DJ Harper with 24 for 125 and two touchdowns.
TCU had 11 penalties for 114 yards.
And they still beat you by three scores.
Oh, it's good by a point.
I'm sorry.
I was on the other game.
And you know how it ended?
Boise State field goal.
Right.
Right.
To lose the game.
Boise State I think is really going to be
that always a bridesmaid never a bright team.
Yeah.
I just until they get themselves into a conference.
And the big east is not it.
You are not east of anything.
We talked about that last week.
Join the pack 12 and then get competitive.
That's the only way that people are going to put you in the conversation.
You're not in the BCS conference.
Only two to three weeks left in the regular season,
depending on what conference you're in.
Hard to believe.
We've got up.
We're going to have a beep.
Some butthead moment here.
But Ball State is playing right now.
But that's going to do it for college football.
Talk.
Remember, if you want a lot of in-depth analysis on the day in college football,
Cody's playbook on Sundays.
I listen to the show today.
I do support his show.
He supports this show.
We are both part of the sooner regator network.
He's very in-depth.
He knows a lot about college football.
Listen to his show.
If you want to get educated on college football Sunday mornings,
10 on the east coast, 7 on the west coast,
you can catch it in archive as well.
Let's go to the next level on this deal.
I do a little NFL talk.
I'm very concerned for my dark horse right now.
My dark horse being the Houston Texans match shop could be out for the season.
Quarterback extraordinary.
I don't know who his back up is.
That freaking line heart.
The USC curse has made its way to Houston, Texas.
Not bowed well for your dark horse at all.
Also, if you're a stealer fan, be thankful that you are on the buy this week.
Because Ben Rothlesberger has found out he has a fractured thumb.
Barber, I must be losing his mind.
Well, again, they're on the buy this week.
So he's got an extra week to heal up.
And they're not playing on Thanksgiving day.
So they're okay.
Let's break down week 10 for you.
We had Thursday night football last week as the oh, sorry.
The Oakland Raiders.
Be the San Diego Chargers 24 to 17.
Phillip Rivers.
It's continuing 23 of 40s.
He threw the ball 47 times.
23 of 47 to 74 to touchdowns in a pick.
And Carson Palmer had a decent day.
So then we get into Sunday morning.
The Indianapolis Colts are now oh, and nine.
As they lose in the Jacksonville Jaguars 17 to three.
When your top performer is a receiver who has six catches for 75 yards.
Do I need to say any more?
Maurice Jones drew though 25 rushes for 114 yards in a touchdown.
The New Orleans Saints get away with one in Atlanta.
Atlanta has a fourth and one and instead of kicking the field goal.
They go for it and do not get it.
Let me tell you something.
If you're in field goal range and it's fourth and one and the guy on the other side of the ball.
If you don't get it is named Drew Breeze.
You kick that ball.
Yeah, that was a boneheaded call.
And oh, by the way, let's go ahead and run up the middle.
Yeah.
Because no one's going to say that.
Yeah, no one ever falls.
Drew Breeze.
30 of 43, 322 yards in two touchdowns.
Matt Ryan, 29 of 52, 351, two touchdowns in a pick.
And that game was decided in overtime.
The aforementioned Houston Texans.
My Dark Horse beat up on my Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37 to 9.
Tampa Bay's top performer.
Receiver Parker, two for 17 yards in a touchdown.
The top performer.
Yeah, the top performer.
Pittsburgh beats up on Cincinnati 24 to 17.
Andy Dalton, you watched this play earlier.
A beautiful touchdown pass.
That was insane.
Threads the needle.
And his receiver now injured both rookies.
But Dalton, 15 to 30 for 170 yards in two touchdowns.
But he threw two picks.
Does that say what his injury is?
Does that say what his injury is?
It was a...
Yes, I think so.
That had to be his ankle.
Was that thing?
Richard Mendenhall, 16 rushes of 44 yards in two touchdowns.
Tennessee wins again.
Cam Newton loses again.
30 to 3.
Chris Johnson finally realizes he is an NFL.
Running back because he has 27 rushes for 130 yards in a touchdown.
The Arizona Cardinals beating up on...
Dream Team!
Philadelphia loses.
Oh darn.
21 to 17 to Arizona.
Arizona trying to act like a team.
I'm still not sold on them yet.
What about that catch?
Fitzgerald's...
It's Larry Fitzgerald.
If you have Larry Fitzgerald on your team,
you're gonna get on sports center.
Let's be honest.
The guy is a beast.
And they paid him a butt ton of money.
Man, it's a highlight reel.
Denver.
Tim Tebow.
Beanie Kansas...
Beanie a very good Kansas City team, 17 to 10.
But here's the thing with Tim Tebow.
I don't know that I have ever seen a guy that's polarized elite more than this guy.
Did you hear about Tebow's numbers?
Two for eight.
69 yards in a touchdown.
Two for eight.
Only two passes.
One of them was like a 60 heart touchdown.
And he ran a touchdown.
So why are we hating on this kid?
I'm so sick.
This is my soapbox.
I do this all the time.
I don't care.
We bag and we plead and we cry.
We don't have enough quality people in this league.
Enough guys that are role models to kids.
There's a kid that couldn't be role model-esque more if he tried.
And Tebow has a W on the end of it, Megan.
And now all we want to do is hear the kid down.
It drives me literally insane.
That's the whole instant gratification thing.
But he wins.
Well, he's two and one in three starts.
Believe me, I'm not disagreeing with you.
It's just that I think that the expectations for him were so much higher.
If he wins two more games, he's won as many games as Kyle Orton won in 19 starts.
Or Jay Cutler.
I'm sorry.
Orton wins in Chicago.
It drives me up a wall.
I think people were just expecting him to lead them to the promised land with no effort at all.
No, they weren't.
There's a reason he went in the mid 20s.
In that draft, people, everybody said he cannot play football at this level.
He cannot be a quarterback at this level.
His throwing motion is terrible, which it was.
As a quarterback, you never hold the ball above your shoulder like he used to.
Or actually, that's what you do.
He was holding it down here by his waist.
It drives me nuts.
It's to me, it's the ultimate conundrum in the NFL today.
We need quality guys.
Well, here's a quality guy.
His parents are missionaries.
He spent his spring break his senior year in a third world country helping with circumstances.
This is what he did in his spring break his senior year of college.
Helping with what?
His parents are missionaries.
He was in a country that they work in.
He was helping assist with circumstances on young children in these countries.
Yikes.
That was his spring break, sir.
But now, oh no.
We can't stand this kid.
It just, it drives me nuts.
It drives me nuts.
I'm off my cell phone now.
St. Louis beats Cleveland 13 to 12.
And a barn burner there.
St. Louis, they got Sam Bradford back.
Man, they got a long way to go.
Get that kid some weapons.
Our long national nightmare continues to be over as Miami has now won two in a row beating the Washington Redskins 20 to 9 baby.
Reggie Bush, 14 rushes, 47 yards and two touchdowns.
The San Francisco 49ers beat the Giants.
If you're a cowboy fan, who do you root for in that?
Alex Smith starting to turn into a quarterback.
1930, 242 yards of touchdown on the pick.
The Seattle Seahawks beat the Baltimore Ravens.
Let me say that again for those of you playing the home game.
The Seattle Seahawks beat the Baltimore Ravens 22 to 17.
Marshawn Lynch, 32 rushes for 109 yards and a touchdown.
The Chicago Bears beat the now floundering Detroit Lions.
Did you see any footage for this game?
No.
There was a full blown rumble that broke out in the middle of this thing.
Oh, really?
Oh, yeah.
Matt Fortay, 16 rushes for 18 rushes for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Detroit, get the ship right because you're coming up on crunch time and the division you play in,
you ain't going to win it because there's somebody that played last night in that division that didn't give it up that lead.
New England and the Jets, if you are an AFC East fan like I am,
you wish this would end at a 0-0 tie.
It does not as New England beats up on the Jets 37 to 16.
I have not seen Rex Ryan that dejected in a long time.
Stop coming out in the summer and saying you're going to win a Super Bowl.
Just stop.
Stop guaranteeing the Super Bowl.
There's 31 other teams in the lead that have the same plan.
Let the season start first before you start making claims like that.
And that was your night game.
So let's back up a little bit and look at what your Dallas Cowboys did to the Buffalo Bills.
I called you when this game is over and this was a quality win.
Oh, yeah.
Go back a year.
I'll tell you you're a liar.
Yeah.
But in this day and age in the NFL, Dallas beating Buffalo is a quality win because Buffalo is not a slouch team.
Not anymore.
Ramos numbers.
Did you look at Ramos numbers?
I didn't have to.
I wasn't.
Just just watching him in action was just my jaw was on the floor.
Where is this guy been?
23 of 26.
He missed three passes on all day on 270 yards and three touchdowns.
Des Bryant decided he was going to be a receiver.
And this Robinson kid is a beast.
John, I'm not sure who you referring to on that one.
It was it was a great game as a person that is a casual Cowboys fan at best.
I enjoyed watching that game.
I was plus the fact you beat up on the Buffalo Bills, which for John and I is a very, very good thing.
You're huge doll fans.
You had you had a horse in that race, so to speak.
And then last night.
I'd like to put a put a note out.
Kids.
Oh, yeah, Rex Ryan.
Okay, yeah.
You're absolutely right.
Rex Ryan's an idiot.
I want to put a message out to 31 teams in the NFL.
Well, somebody please step up and beat the Green Bay Packers.
This is making me nervous.
I need champagne to be popping in Miami.
They took Minnesota to the wood shed 45 to seven last.
To the surprise of no one.
I said, I said, I don't care what the point spread is.
Bet your house on Green Bay last night.
Minnesota is terrible.
When you're a top performer, although Adrian Peterson, a great player.
Someone who I think is a future Hall of Famer.
14 rushes for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Yes.
I have said on this show.
If Adrian Peterson does not get 100 yards rushing.
The Minnesota Vikings cannot win a game.
And I, and as much as, you know, Christian ponder being a forestate graduate.
Again, the only thing I don't like about the kid is the colors you weren't college.
This kid's on the hot seat.
It's a pressure cooker there in theapolis.
Let's look forward to this coming week.
And some teams will be on a very short week.
We do have Thursday night football this week.
Chets at Denver.
Both team matching records of one three on the road for the Jets.
One in three at home for Denver.
Denver's only a game below 500 right now.
Trying to keep the team was trying to get them to eight wins at your team, Megan.
Jacksonville on Sunday travels the Cleveland.
Oh, this will be a stinker for you.
Proceedable CBS.
Jacksonville one and four on the road.
Cleveland two and three.
You might want to stock up on the caffeine now.
The local game here on your Fox affiliate as your Dallas Cowboys go to our nation's capital.
Let's take on the Washington Redskins on a very short week.
See, I think Dallas should always be able to play home that Sunday.
I do too.
Because they've got to turn on and play Thursday.
Don't care if they're playing my dolphins, but there's that Detroit hosts Carolina.
Carolina does not have a road win yet this year.
Detroit now six and three.
Detroit's got to get the wheels on this thing if they want a wild card.
Is it because they and they've got to play two games this week too.
Indeed, they do.
Does they'll play Thursday?
Nickelback, I'll be your halftime chef.
Tampa Bay at Green Bay.
Can my bucking ears get this thing done?
What do you think?
I'm holding on to hope.
I have to hope against hope.
That's a fool's hope, but keep on hoping.
Wish them nothing but luck, but yeah.
The...
That's a total of Oakland raiders.
Travel to Minnesota.
Oakland will trounce them.
You think?
I still think Oakland has one of the greatest stats ever from last year.
Undefeated in the division and don't make the playoffs.
That just...
That amazes me.
Miami Dolvins hosting the Buffalo Bills on Sunday before they come to this fair bird
to play the Cowboys next Thursday.
Division game.
I need my boys.
That'll be three in a row.
Good luck with that.
Get on a roll.
Since the natty goes to Baltimore, a Baltimore team may be licking their wounds right now.
Maybe a little bit dangerous, especially at home.
Andy Dalton.
Good luck.
That Cleveland's Colt McCoy.
I made a mistake earlier.
Colt McCoy.
Colt McCoy.
Where was I?
Arizona travels to San Francisco.
I think this could be a better game than a lot of people think.
By the way, for those of you playing the home game, San Francisco is eight and one.
That blows my mind.
Did you ever think you would...
Jim Harbaugh is all the difference.
You ever think you would live to see the day in this...
In this area, anyway, where San Francisco would have that record that it's got.
And Andy would have the record that it has.
In the battle for the basement, Seattle travels to St. Louis.
Speaking of snooze fest, there's that moving on.
Atlanta hosting Tennessee.
Atlanta and Tennessee, both five and four.
Tennessee on the road, two and two.
Atlanta at home, two and two.
There's something has to get.
By the way, Panthers up, three over.
Three nothing.
I just saw that.
I just saw that.
My beloved Florida Panthers.
Another rivalry division game as the entire NFC East will be playing each other this weekend.
Dallas and Washington, Billy at the Giants.
Nice.
Billy trying to get the wheels back on the Giants trying to build some more momentum.
There's something about Eli Manning in the fourth quarter of this year.
The kids at Gamer.
Well, the only man he plays, the only man he's playing, yeah.
And San Diego goes to Chicago.
Little primers.
Your bad day is going to continue.
You're going into their house.
Oh, it's the second period of the third.
Your Sunday night game is that Philly Giants game, by the way.
Your Monday night game next week.
This is going to get ugly.
As the Kansas City Chiefs travel the Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the New England Patriots.
The Patriots have lost one game at home this year.
Uh-huh.
We'll tell you something.
Get ready.
And that is NFL talk.
We're actually going to do one more segment before we get to the list.
Because I'm feeling saucy.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast live on Ustream every Tuesday night.
Eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast.
Let's do this.
We're going to do a little MMA contact sport talk.
Fox had its debut UFC fight night this past Saturday and it shows only one fight.
And the prelims were on Facebook and it didn't take very long.
In less than 70 seconds and less time and it's taken in this segment.
Junior dos Santos called that by the way.
This man told this man completely destroys pain the last quest.
I don't know what I would call Rock Lesnar said in the first half an hour of this.
That really MMA is a game of centimeters.
And he's right.
Because you get one solid shot to a guy's temple throws his equilibrium.
That's what happened.
It doesn't take long.
It doesn't take much.
And Kane Velasquez is your new UFC heavyweight champion of the world.
And if you've ever been clock like that.
It's a feeling you never forget.
So now Velasquez or dos Santos awaits the winner of Allister Overland.
Now Velasquez or dos Santos awaits the winner of Allister Overland and Brock Lesnar on December 30th.
Whoever wins that fight gets the shot at the title.
Do not think this is a walk in the park for Brock Lesnar.
Allister Overland is a large man and he's very, very powerful.
He was a strike force heavyweight champion at one point.
I've actually seen him alive.
It's a big dude.
Who's carrying that one?
Is that gonna be a paper view?
That's a paper box.
There is a paper view that's coming weekend.
Shogun Rua is on the card.
Run Lee is on the card.
Fighting.
Vandalized Silva.
That's going to be a great fight.
Dan Anderson is fighting.
Who's the first person to say?
Shogun Rua.
And I really got to wake up.
If I'm available to watch that, I will.
Then we find out Anderson Silva, one of the baddest men on the planet,
is going to face again, Child Sonan.
Child Sonan at UFC 143.
Last time Sonan fought.
He said in the octagon, I want one more shot of Anderson Silva.
I almost had him beat.
By the way, no, you didn't.
Anderson Silva was playing possum.
For four and a half rounds.
If I win, I get the title.
If you beat me, I'll leave the UFC.
We'll see how that holds up.
Put up or shut up.
Put up or shut up.
Put up or shut up.
Want to take just a moment to talk about the Saturday night.
Pacquiao Mark has three.
I missed seeing this.
I was out of pocket, but I've done a lot of reading about that.
Here's my, I have a theory.
Pacquiao wins on, on majority decision.
Two of the judges had him 115, 113, 116, 111, 12.
The third judge had it a draw.
From what I've been told, somebody told Mark as he was winning.
And so he kind of backed off in the 12th round.
Really?
That's what I've been hearing.
Now, a lot of people thought Manny maybe escaped with this victory.
I think he's pulling an Anderson Silva.
I think Manny purposely took the foot off the gas,
because he's luring Mayweather out.
Oh, you think so?
I think.
There's a lot of people we're seeing.
Mayweather watching this fight?
Could have watched it and said, you know what?
I think I can take this guy now.
Keep telling yourself.
Let me tell you something.
Manny Pacquiao is pound for pound.
The best fighter on God's green earth.
I was so hoping you were going to play this.
How I roll, sir.
That fight happens.
First of all, there's, there's not a bank big enough in the world for this.
No.
Manny will still beat him.
I think I really think Manny did not put out a hundred percent.
That will be the most watched fight in this century.
And Jerry Jones wants that in this town.
So bad.
He can taste it.
He won't out money.
He won't out money.
Vegas.
No pun intended.
They will try.
He will try.
Vegas will win that.
Now, GSP Anderson Silva,
that will probably happen at Cowboy Stadium.
That happens.
Wild horses will not keep us from that.
We will be at that fight.
I don't care what I have to do.
But I honestly believe that that's my theory.
Take it from what you're paying for.
But I really believe that Manny,
because Freddie Roach is not a slouch of a trainer.
No.
I love Freddie.
I think Freddie Roach is one of the greatest human beings on God's green earth.
And a quality trainer.
And he trained GSP on his stand-up.
I really think that's the plan.
They're trying to lure him out.
How do you walk away from $60 million?
Because that's what each one of them stand to make on this fight.
All you have to do is lull an Eagle Maniac
into a false sense of security.
That's all it's going to take.
Some people think that it may be a fourth Marquez fight.
I don't know.
Marquez, of course,
a little sour grapes afterwards thought he was fighting against the judges
to do whatever.
Blah blah.
You're not Manny Pat, yeah.
He used to it.
But I really think that I think that's what they're doing.
I hope you're right.
I really do hope you're right.
And I hope it works.
If that's what they're doing, I hope it works.
Because I want to see him take the biggest beating of his life
at the hands of Manny Pat, yeah.
And then finally, the speculation will end.
And now we will all know.
There's no speculation in my part.
It will be confirmed.
It's going to destroy me.
It will be confirmed when we all already knew anyway.
No speculation on my part.
He wins that fight.
Manny wins that.
Oh, heck yeah.
Convincing it.
Streetlights on.
Which means it's time for the list.
The pendulum does swing back to me this week.
This is actually a list I've been wanting to do for a while.
We've all done that bit.
Where it's, you can take 10 CDs to an island or what would they be?
I kind of spun it a little bit.
Because for me, if you ask me that question, I need provisos.
For instance, do box sets count as one or each individual this?
Do you count greatest hits albums?
Do you count live albums?
Because asking me that question, you would watch my brain explode.
For those of you that don't know me, I have over 31,000 tracks in my iPod.
So narrowing that down to 10 CDs, I'm just bringing my iPod.
Just make sure I've got something that can charge it.
So what I've done this week instead is I've made a list of what I feel are the top 10 greatest hits albums.
Of all time.
If I had to make a list of great hits albums that I think are phenomenal.
These are the top 10.
Number 10 goes to what I feel is the greatest rock band of my generation.
You can't debate it because it's not possible.
And it's a specific greatest hits albums of theirs.
You choose greatest hits 1980 to 1990.
One of the greatest decades in music.
I mean, I believe there was a one-disk and a two-disk of this.
Do not quote me on that.
But you look at that decade for YouTube.
You're going to go from boy to the Joshua tree.
Because Octoom didn't come out till 91.
Still get Radlin home.
See, Radlin, I guess you could tell Radlin home because it was a...
There were new tracks on that one.
Desire on Red House.
When Love comes to town.
But when Love comes to town, that wouldn't be a live track.
There was a live version in the studio version as well.
Probably should have been a little bit more prepared on this.
I do want to run the listing for you.
Actually, you know, I could just pull it up.
There's a better way for me to do this.
But I mean, that was...
To me, that was when they were the...
At the top of their game.
Because you know how I feel about 87.
You and I have talked about that at length.
That I will always say that 87 was the greatest year in music.
Oh, of our lifetime.
And it was a show.
And it was because of that...
Their album that they put out that year was a huge part of why.
Where is it going to point this up for me?
I don't know.
I'm not on that side of the table.
John says it was a two-disc set.
90 to 2000, I think, was a one-disc.
Well, I've got the bow, so...
Here we go.
All the music's just...
Okay, disc one.
Let me just run this list for you.
Pride in the name of Love.
New Year's Day.
With or without you.
I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Bad.
Where the streets have no name.
I will follow.
The unforgettable fire.
The sweetest thing.
Desire.
When Love comes to town.
Angel of Harlem.
All I want is you.
Even better than the real thing.
Mysterious ways.
Actually, that's not.
That's just...
That's both of them.
Thank you for going.
But those 14 tracks.
Number 9 is the guys you hear right now.
Yeah.
Journey.
I don't know anybody in my age range that does not own this greatest hits album.
In some iteration, there's been like three different releases just because of remasters
and anniversary additions.
I have the original version.
Yeah.
You and I have the same version.
This is the first greatest hits album.
I just released a new one, didn't I?
Oh, I have no idea.
I'm gonna run this one for you.
Make it singing along, apparently.
Let me run this for you.
Only the young.
Don't stop believing.
Wheel in the sky.
Faithfully.
I'll be alright without you.
The song you hear right now.
Any way you want it.
Ask the lonely.
Who's crying now?
Separate ways.
Lights.
Love and touch and squeezing.
Open arms.
Girl can't help it.
Send her my love.
Be good to yourself.
And when you love a woman.
Really?
Goodness.
I mean.
I can, that's one you can listen to all the way through and not hit greatness.
Uh-huh.
Or not not hit not hot.
Double negative on that.
Number 8.
Debate me.
Oh, but this is right in my wheel.
Debate me.
This is one, this is a 20 track album.
Put something on by this guy, if you can.
Well, I'm trying to get through the rest of this.
I don't want to, you know what I'm saying?
It just sets the mood so well.
There's a city that I want.
See if you hear that.
One T tracks on this greatest hits album.
This would be very white, all-time greatest hits.
Love's theme.
I'm going to give you just a little more baby.
I've got so much to give.
Uh, never ever going to give you up.
Honey, please, can't just see.
Can't get enough of your love.
First, last my everything.
What am I going to do without you?
I'll do anything you want me to.
Let the music play.
You see the trouble with me.
Baby, we're going to try to get together.
Don't make me wait too long.
I'm qualified to satisfy you, great title.
It's ecstasy when you lay down next to me.
One of your personal favorite.
One of my favorite.
Playing your game, baby.
Oh, what a night for dancing.
Your sweetness is my weakness,
which is also an MC Hammer song, dude.
Just the way you are.
The Billy Joel version.
Just the way you are.
And sat in soul.
Oh, no.
Precious bridge.
Let's be an older compilation then.
No, this was fun.
Essentials to this in the 90s.
Number six.
And seven on this list.
We talked about them earlier in this show.
Van Halen.
Greatest hits.
Best of Van Halen.
Volume one.
Why that one in particular?
Why not?
Best of both worlds.
Because this, best of both worlds.
It was here.
There was stuff in there that I didn't care about.
A ruption.
Ain't talking about love.
Running with the devil.
Dance the night away.
And the cradle will rock.
Unchained.
Jump.
Panama.
Why can't this be love?
Dreams.
When it's love.
Pan-pound cake.
Can't stop loving you.
Humans being.
Can't get this stuff no more in me wise magic.
One disc.
Uh-huh.
Number six.
One of my favorite artists of all time.
Period end of statement.
The greatness of a guy that is on my bucket list of people to see live.
Before I leave this mortal coil.
James.
Freaking.
Taylor.
His first greatest hits album.
I have bought three different times.
And it's because if you can believe I've worn out a CD.
I've worn out this CD twice.
Something in the way she moves.
Carolina in my mind.
Fire and rain.
Sweet baby.
James.
Country road.
You've got a friend.
Don't let me be lonely tonight.
Walking man.
How sweet it is to be loved by you.
Mexico.
Shower the people in steam.
The baby.
Number five.
Another one of the greatest rock fans ever.
Again, debate it.
Motley crews red white and crew.
This was a two disc set.
This was this was how you do a greatest hits album.
Especially in 2005.
When.
Really they were at a crossroads.
They were still they were just starting to get the wheels back on their deal.
Uh-huh.
I'll just give you the first disc of the two because the second one's a bunch of like
B side to stuff.
Live wire.
Piece of your action.
Black Widow.
Looks to kill.
Two young to fall in love.
Shout at the devil.
Girls, girls, girls.
Wild side.
Kickstart my heart.
Doctor.
Feel good.
Primal scream.
Home sweet home.
Hooligans holiday.
Beauty.
Bitter pill.
Hell on high heels.
Then the new tracks.
If I die tomorrow and a sick love song.
They actually did a cover of the Rolling Stone Street fighting man on the second disc.
Number four.
You hear them right now.
Probably the bands.
If you count them and Bon Jovi.
Probably the originators of the term arena rock.
Deaf leopard.
When they released Vault in 1995.
I don't know anybody that didn't buy it.
Covering their years from 1980 to 1995.
Pour some sugar on me.
Bodeograph.
Love bites.
Let's get rocked.
Two steps behind the acoustic version.
The song you hear right now.
Animal.
Fooling.
Rock it.
Love it.
Hate collide.
Armageddon.
Have you ever needed someone so bad?
Rock of Ages.
Histeria.
The acoustic version of Miss you in a heartbeat and bring it on the heartbreak.
Saw these cats live in this heyday in 87 on the hysteria.
You so have scoreboard on me in that category.
With Europe as the opening act.
Number three.
At one point was number one.
This is on my bucket list.
But I've had to re, I really had to rethink the two above it.
Really kind of took this one to the woodshed.
I'm going to have to throw a couple at you when this list is over.
The Eagles.
Greatest hits 1971 to 1975.
Greatness.
This was their first greatest hits album.
I'm going to run it for you.
Take it easy.
Witchy woman.
Lion eyes.
Already gone.
Desperado.
One of these nights.
Tequila sunrise.
Take it to the limit.
Peaceful easy feeling.
And best of my life.
Gosh.
Is there a better 10 songs to put on a CD?
That is just...
And I got an uncle that's a huge fan of Eagles.
Huge fan.
This is one you put in.
One of the themes and they have all music for this is road trip.
Yeah.
There's no other way to put it.
You let it go and you're in another state by the time it's over.
By the time you finish listening to it.
You kidding me?
You probably listen to it four times by the time you get to another state.
You still want to keep playing it.
Number two.
Call it a bias.
I don't care.
It is one of my leaders.
This is a greatest hits collection.
I had to put all three volumes in this.
Because there's just no other way to do it.
Volumes 1 and 2 came together.
Volumes 3 was separate.
Billy.
Flipping.
Joel.
That's one of your leaders.
Disc 1.
Piano man.
Captain Jack.
The entertainer.
Say goodbye to Hollywood.
New York state of mind.
The stranger.
Seems from an Italian restaurant.
Just the way you are.
Moving out.
Only the good die.
Young.
She's always a woman.
Disc 2.
My life.
Big shot.
You may be right.
It's still rock and roll to me.
Don't ask me why.
She's got a way.
Pressure.
Allentown.
Good night.
Saigon.
Tell her about it.
Uptown girl.
The longest time.
Your only human in the night is still young.
I mean, really?
Do I need to...
Remix.
Then you get to greatest hits volume 3, which came out about 12 years later.
Sir.
Oh, late.
He did another one.
Keeping the faith.
An innocent man.
A matter of trust.
Baby grand.
Which he sang with Ray Charles.
This is the time.
Lennon grad.
We didn't start the fire.
I go to extremes.
And so it goes.
The Down Eastern Alexa.
Which I contend is one of his greatest songs ever.
Shameless.
The remix of all about soul.
Lullaby.
River of dreams.
To make you feel my love.
His cover of Hey Girl.
And his cover of his lies.
The breeze.
Debate it.
I can't.
I mean, I can't.
And the number one on this list.
Number one.
What I feel could be the greatest of the greatest hits albums of our time.
This is another one.
I own this on cassette.
War out the cassette.
I bought it on CD.
War out the CD.
Had to buy another one.
It's these guys.
Right here.
Also the very first live video.
I'm going to show you.
Also the very first live band I ever saw was a kid.
Oh, really?
Cetera was still with him.
Chicago.
And I'm talking greatest hits 82 to 89.
Hard to say I'm sorry.
Look away.
Stay the night.
Will you still love me?
Love me tomorrow?
What kind of man would I be was the new track?
That went to number one.
You're the inspiration.
I don't want to live without your love.
Hard have it to break.
This song along comes a woman.
If she would have been faithful and we can last forever.
That's the 80s in a nutshell.
Yeah.
This is one of those.
And a lot of people talk about Bon Jovi and Prince and Michael Jackson.
Chicago left their dent on that decade.
So I also saw them live.
Who opened for the Holland Oats opened for them.
It was in the mid 90s.
Like 90s I guess.
Because it was here after I moved here.
But that's the list.
I need to take a breath.
Didn't plan on going through all those tracks.
But something hit me and I kind of had to.
I had a couple I would put on that.
Okay, go ahead.
Errol Smith.
Oh, yeah, the greatest hits.
That two-disk collection is pretty included.
It's good.
I was thinking about Errol Smith the first one.
They're very first great fits out.
The three-disk set of Queens greatest hits.
Thought about that one, but I was never as big of a fan.
And then the three bigs in my opinion.
Seal.
Which one?
The one that's got the acoustic.
The acoustic hits.
It's pretty good.
Michael's history.
The first disc.
And of course.
I would have to take Michael Jackson number one's over history.
And of course, it hits the B sides.
See, I thought about that one.
I was like, errr.
I mean, granted they left some, you know,
they left something different.
They left off the stuff from Batman and Housequake went on there.
But still, Pink Cashmere was a seller for me.
There was one that I put on here originally.
And I took off.
But it would be 11 if I did a top 11.
And that would have been Steve Norr.
The band's greatest hit.
It's 74 to 78.
And since he really didn't have just one disc.
Because he's had two volumes.
Stee Ray.
Had a really good volume one and volume two.
John says the Rolling Stones 40 licks.
I actually considered that one.
That's a good one.
That would have been, I could have done top 15.
That would have been on there.
But that's an expensive set.
If we could, you'd have to do a top 20 for a son.
If you really want to get everybody in that you want in.
But again, that's the purpose of the list.
It's the cause conversation.
That's what it's all about.
It is so hard pairing it down to just 10.
Because too much greatness out there.
We appreciate each and every one of you joining us live.
Or on archive.
We don't care how you listen to the show.
What does it say?
It was like that commercial.
We don't care how you get here.
Just get here.
We are here every Tuesday night.
Eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast.
Munchkin for you.
That would be six o'clock.
So you might want to write that on your calendar.
Yes.
Or sign up for the email reminders.
That's right.
And I'll do my best to put events on here to remind everybody
that the shows are coming up.

I am yes, that robber of an ERVIN.

Megan's got something coming on with dancing.
That we need to wish her luck on.
Oh, yes, yes.
She's been working on a dance routine the past couple of weeks.
Is the centipede involved?
Is the centipede involved?
No.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I chatted in PG69.
I am yes, that robber of an ERVIN.
Follow us on Facebook at the Clubhouse podcast.
Oh, why would the centipede be involved?
It's a dance move.
The worm.
The worm in the centipede.
The same thing.
No, the Roger Rabbit's not involved.
I saw a commercial of the day where there was animals dancing
and a worm was doing the worm.
Yeah, it's the app.
It's the new app that converts.
That's one of my favorite commercials on right now.
Settle, but funny.
Make sure you listen to Cody's playbook next Sunday morning,
nine central time.
Send on the East Coast, send on the West Coast.
Until Sunday morning for Cody's show,
Sunday evening at Fox and a Hound,
four, what do you call that thing for survivor series?
And then again, next Tuesday night,
eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast for Chad.
I am Rob.
We're going to take you out with something
a little bit different this time.
Let's do that.
Clubhouse is closed.
The preceding was a sooner or greater production.
Gotta go, gotta go.
Why, because I have to.
