It is Sunday. It is shortly after 6 o'clock. It is shortly after 4 o'clock on the west coast.

It is time as it has been all year long on tape review day for the live free show. The clubhouse is Robin Cody, as we prepare you for WWE over the limit, which starts in just about 53 minutes. Welcome.

I am Robin, as I each and every episode am joined by Cody. I'm very motivated, so I don't know if you're fired up there. But we are live, boxed in house, Richardson, Texas.

Just west and central expressway on Campbell Road. We are on the north side of the road behind the McDonald's. We're here each and every paper for you.

Our second one this month. I can't say every month because we've got to this month. And the one next month earlier in the month that usual is well on Father's Day.

But you're going to be able to break away from that. You can bring the paper out. We'll figure something out.

Welcome. We are getting ready for over the limit. A card that's shaping up very nicely in my opinion.

We're going to get to that later on. We're also going to talk a little bit about what happened on SmackDown Friday. Our normal show is every Tuesday night 8 on the East Coast 5 on the West Coast on you street.

Not here lately, give a little loose. Absolutely. But we want to talk first of all, start to show off with, Why is it the last two paperbies in a row?

Something crazy has happened. As we, as the WWE went off the air last time, we got news of the killing of those sum up in a lot. As right there in that hole, as we were standing right just to my last, we found that out.

And then about less than 48 or a little over 48 hours, I guess. Before we went on the air tonight, we found out about something that really kind of blew the wheels off of everything. We were worried about content and we got content now because we're going to talk about it.

We had just after 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time Friday morning. We got word of the death of one macho man Randy Savage.

He was in the Tampa area. You got a little confused. He was in Largo as a suburb.

Yeah, they did not see Largo as a lot of people reported. Some places were reporting Tampa, others were reporting Largo, then it was seminal. It's each news report you get.

There's a different city. The story we have at this point is he had a heart attack behind the wheel. His wife, barely a year, was with him in his 2009 Jeep.

He went over a concrete median into a tree. He passed away at the hospital. His new wife got away on a hard, thank goodness.

But we want to take a few minutes and talk about. We used the word great a lot. But is there any other word that applies to Randy Savage?

You know, he was one of those guys. I just don't know if the popularization of 1980s and in the early late 90s of wrestling would be what it was without him. I think he was just one of those guys.

Very shocking and also a great pitchman. He did the movie Bolt. Did a lot of voiceover work.

It wasn't just in the ring. Something here that I've come across was 51 talent to appear at WrestleMania 7 or dead. 51, 51.

Yeah. I've never heard that many people on the car. 14 have died prematurely.

Texas tornado. Kerry Von Erick. Of course, you're locally in Dallas.

Everybody knows that is Dino Bravo. Under the giant British Bulldog. Mr.

Perfect. Mr. Lizbeth.

Randy Savage. Along with the Grilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes. Off that last chance.

Let's talk a little bit about the life of Randy Savage. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. His father Angelo at one point had the healthy world sit-up record.

Apparently he could just start doing sit-ups and just go and tell he just just bored when it. He was also his father was also a well-known professional wrestler in the 50s and 60s. So Randy was a multi-generational guy.

He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1971. I was negative too in the time. Played minor league baseball for the Cardinals, Reds, and White Sox until 1974.

Something interesting about that. At one point in his minor league baseball career. He injured his throwing shoulder.

So he learned to throw with the other arm. Yeah, I read that. He had 16 career.

Model League home runs. I believe it said. And he would do wrestling in the offseason from playing baseball.

So he always had something going on. Yeah, you know, he was just always in great shape. Hardness for me to see him in the pitchers that they've been showing it to making its media rounds.

Him with the white hair. It was weird seeing Randy that bad out of shape. I know he was 58 years old.

But Randy to me was way out of shape at that point in time. He entered professional wrestling in 1973 during a baseball offseason. First wrestling character he was the spider friend.

Which later he would play. He would play. He would play.

He would play. Yeah. The name Randy Savage given to him by one only Anderson.

I read that said he wrestled like a savage. He thought Randy Poffa was in a good wrestling name. So he went with that.

Worked a lot with his father and brother. His brother, of course, the genius or the professor. Randy Poffa, leaping landing.

leaping landing. Nothing. Then he worked for Memphis if you did with Waller.

Boy, and that I was talking to our marketing director here. We were talking on the phone last week. Our last last week, but Friday afternoon.

And that feud went on until the mid 90s. That went on as late as 1997. He was in the Memphis territory.

Of course, feuding with the ultimate fan favorite. They're in Memphis and Jerry the King Waller. And it was today.

Yeah. It was very strange to see Randy in prevents promoting. Randy Savage on a Memphis card there.

Randy, great in the ring. Nobody could cut a more insanely crazy out of his mind. Random stuff.

Like Randy Savage. He did tag with his brother. And they did it with a rock and roll express at one point.

Randy actually injured Ricky Boyd. He did. To palatriding through a table.

If I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Crazy.

The thing about Randy was I just don't know. And it's proven. For some reason, I don't know if Vince never really wanted to put the title on him for very long.

Get two runs. That was it. And we'll get to it.

Yeah. Yeah. One thing.

I didn't realize that he married Elizabeth before he was even in the WWE. Or WWE. Or WWE.

At the time. He married Elizabeth. December the 30th, 1984.

Yeah. And he wouldn't date you with the WWE episode. June of 1985.

And another one that had just a real premature death was. And by the time they married on television. They were not even divorced.

That real wills off. Wedding. Wedding.

Wedding. And Stephanie crying in the crowd. And the member of the Jake to snake had the rubber snake in the box.

So that's made. And that's made. And that's made.

And that's the rubber slam. 92. He joined the WWE episode of 1985 on an episode of Tuesday night tightness.

And hair person. And I believe hand picked a manager. Everybody was there.

And of course he chose Miss Elizabeth to be his manager. His paper view date view on the wrestling classic. Wow.

We're going to hold on. There he is. Right.

No member 71885, the wrestling classic. This is what it was called. He was in a 16 man tournament.

He be Ivan Pusky. Ricky Steve Bón. And the dynamite kid and lost in the finals to one junkyard dog.

Really? So what I've got gathered. What is first in the Continental Championship.

February of the 26, 1986 and the Boston Guard. The Tito. Yeah, Tino Santana with an illegal object and time and then he would form a course to make a powers with form after the king of the ring in 1987 Would win his first WWE F championship on March 19 turn eight in a WrestleMania four tournament right, you know, that was at that time You know, we really didn't know what was going on behind the scenes, but to a lot of people that was considered a Swerve to put the belt on Randy Savage at that point A lot of people felt was a strong intercontinental champion, but that was about it It's not nobody really knew and I like the way he had the belt and then went heel with the belt Absolutely that very often where a champion has a belt one way and then Turned on Hogan and then he was instant the biggest heel in the company and he got a debate Probably the top heel in that company for the The latter on three or four years 1989 became the macho king after he defeats Haxaw Jim Duggan for title of King of the ring, which I thought was weird Duggan wins the tournament and then macho challenges them for that title and any the crown Deceptor this after given him two by his brother.

Yes, and then Join WCW in 1994 A lot of heat there with Vince at the time. Well, let's go go back a little bit reversely, okay, all right And then not you can't go back 92 It was a classic match on our show a couple a couple weeks back. It was you can't ever if you can't talk about Randy Savage without the rifle between him And of course the nature boy Rick Flair one of my personal favorite rivalries of all time When a long time it was amazing to see him in Rick in a an angle that was mostly thrown together You go back that show is still posted on our site.

Yep. That was a big weird deal It was supposed to be Hogan and it was a weird deal and Savage ended up getting the shot because Hogan wasn't job to Rick and it was just one of those things But Rick held the belt in 92 and I wanted it to roll rumbled a lot of people thought he was past his prime He took a a commentating seat. Yes, he did and left the company like you said in 94 for reasons that our internet rumors Abound we talked about you and I talked about extensively last night as we were preparing for the show Then of course he would join the NWO in 1997, but then again who didn't I think you and I were the only two holdouts at that time Me and disco in Furno.

Yes, I've never always got to give Glenn Joe bready. Yeah, his props for that He would actually join TNA for a very very short time in 2004 They were getting ready to put the belts on him, but they wanted him to drop it a month later because you're Yep, Jared ran the company Savage didn't want to do it, so he just left Then he would marry Linn Paine on May 10th of last year I don't know if you've ever seen pictures of this. Yeah, it's a beautiful girl that he married and We're glad that she's okay if his final resume He was the a w a southern heavyweight champ twice He was the C w a international heavyweight champ all these made up everybody had a belt and W a Mid-America heavyweight champ three times N w a golf coast tag champ with Lannie U.S.

W a unified world heavyweight champ if you remember what that was sir The U.S. W a unified. Yeah, that was what used to be the WCCW Yes, sir absolutely he was WC W world heavyweight champ four times He won World War three one of my personal favorite paper views in 1995 He won the cable king of cables for it and I saw that was like I don't remember this thing ever taken place But he was WWE F champion twice That's weird, but he was only intercontinental champion one time that to me when I think of that intercontinental belt I think Savage, but he only held it once But back back then you had a year run easy if you want a belt and you're gonna get it was gonna get WrestleMania WrestleMania pretty much yeah, he was king of the ring in 87 I want to just go you're some of your favorite memories of Savage before we get to the meat of what what this segment's gonna be about I think the food with Rick and 92 absolutely I like that I liked the mega powers bit because it's been a while since you've seen a guy win a belt and then the character change Meach dream of the actual holding the belt that'd be like Cena going heel tonight Which we want to have to do yeah, but if that wouldn't it's not gonna happen, but Very very transitional guy at one time Randy got too big for me Is that body wise his mouth?

That's okay. Yeah, I think physically just cycle level. Yeah, Randy got real big and the deal with the rap album And all that a lot of the men Yeah, just Randy, but I always like the the WrestleMania three the cup of coffee Well, would he form the mega powers form that was on Saturday night's made event October 3rd 1987 that you ain't nine point.

Oh, yeah, huge he was the rating guy and of course He was in the thumb-up mistake and wasn't he on the little cartoon the rock and roll wrestling He was part of that absolutely so I mean and now you know He's ruined graduations for the rest of ever because you can't go and hear this song at a graduation And not and that's somebody in that room go. It's really that's fucking it. Yeah.

I mean this You think of pomp and circumstance. I knew why he why he picked this song as an entrance I think it's just because of the dramaticness if that a word that dramaticness of it I'll just wonder what was what Vince had in the head and the can for him because we heard rumors that Laney said you're gonna start seeing a lot of him. Everybody thought wrong GM Now let's get to the question that's that really to me is the elephant in the room with this whole thing If you're Vince Do you have to put him in the hall of faint now?

Well, like I told you when we spoke Friday afternoon Vince just dodged a big bullet because now he doesn't have to give a live microphone or to Randy that's true That is true. You could fire up and I told me see the same thing. I told I said you could give the microphone to any ladies wrestler Luger What love does he it's anybody any of the standard brothers staying any any of these people Yeah, but any of these people could end up Randy savage because Elizabeth said he's dead and you really don't have to give him a live Mic on live television and just really not know what he's gonna say about you or your company Really don't and I'm glad you brought that up because I am of the firm belief now if you put Randy in which I think Yes, you put him in next year in Miami.

You have to put Elizabeth in with him. Yeah Why I mean until earlier this year? I thought she was already in it Sometimes I think vent size away from the drug death.

Ben Walgland now you will never hear his name on WWE program again, and it's a dog on shame But I understand it because of the search of the situation to me that guy is a first-down hall of fame or Unfortunately, you will never see it and now savage is in the professional wrestling hall of fame Which I believe is an Iowa somewhere, but not Vince's Hall of fame.

He is in the professional wrestling hall of fame But he is not in the WWE Hall of fame. Well, he should be a lot of people thought this year We were supposed to get the WCW class if you watch that that obviously did not happen right so I Think it's time to put him in I think it's past time to put him in Well, you think about that though and you and I talked about this at length on the phone and lunch on Friday You think about how big this class could be you're in Miami So the rock is almost a given savage a Elizabeth. I think edge goes the next year in Toronto But we don't know that it's gonna be in Toronto for sure.

Yeah. Well, I just I have a feeling I mean it's it's on wax now. It no did you notice we didn't have any major promos We we went straight into a match as Christian takes on chain this in a 17 minute match that goes through a commercial break And an opening match that was a lot better than it had oh, yeah, but we we take the belt off him We're not gonna push anybody like that. I mean I thought that was a great opening match Of course, then you have the double team as Mark Henry gets the ring and then Randy kind of Randy kind of wingers are around For a little bit and I know this is probably Mark Henry's final run with the company He has said is much from all the injuries from body building at one time was really the world strong this fan at one time Seely Texas also home of Eric Dickerson We'll send you right away. Let's let you know that But anyway, there are 30 on 30 about him He's brass and so I understand that kind of thing, but do we really need to push Mark Henry?

I just don't think they should just hand that thing out to the likes of Ray Mysterio What did we always say on this show Vincent created so he likes to pair it?
