We don't really have a correction so much as an addition for last week's show
We've talked about this before
You can bet on anything in Vegas, anything
And that includes the Oscars
For those of you that don't know you can't bet on the Oscars in Vegas
The way it works is there's what's called a money line
And what that means is you'll see an amount next to
whomever you're betting on
And for instance
For best actor Colin Firth was minus 2,200
What that means is you have to bet 2,200 dollars to win 100
But the Vegas odds the favorites for all five of the big categories
Actors, actresses, director, and picture all the favorites won
I've said it before and I'll say it again kids
Vegas was not designed for you to win
Oh absolutely not
It wouldn't look like if everybody won
You're exactly wrong
We need to do a Vegas show
After you finally take your Vegas trip we'll do a show from Vegas

We're gonna start you up tonight with a little bit of NASCAR talk
Can you hear a little bit from each gentleman later on T?

That was a little bit more exciting than usually what you get out of Las Vegas motor speedway
Carl Edwards was your winner the 99 Scots long carers
The back clip off the door
That was his bit
That was the host of Raw last year winning

But the real story from this race is Tony Stewart's call it
He give-wrapped it for Carl Edwards
He had a big mistake in his pit where somebody left an air hose in one of his tires
And he drug it out of the pit
That's an automatic penalty
Oh really
He had to come back in the pit road stop
Everybody else went around so he was a lap down
Now for those who are listeners like me that are not NASCAR educated
Please explain what being a lap down means
You have to go past the leader to get back onto the lead lap
And then he has to come back around again to get back into it
But Tony had the strongest car all day long
Now didn't you say the same thing when we were watching Daytona?
Yes, Tony Stewart
He's also one thing that's been different about him is he's now an independent car owner
He now has his own car that started his own team
So for him to be pumping out some of the things that he's doing
It's very impressive
Once he gets that team up and running I think it's going to be very very very very
And very interesting to see what he does with it
But the main thing here was the Fords to me to get a Ford win
Now is that-
Now as you said this in the email you sent to me you said Ford is back
Now explain again for those of the-
Our listeners like me who are a little NASCAR not real educated
Explain that
The last- the last actually going to last year in the first two races this year
Chevrolet is kind of dominated NASCAR
Not dominated the point to where it's just unsurmountable
But Chevrolet has a lot of the big name drivers
Of course your big Ford team is Rouse racing Jack Rouse
Been around forever
Ford actually when they-
It seemed to me when the Ford cars got out in front in clean air and got out of the draft
They should have been moving a whole lot quicker
Now the draft I mean you're getting clean air up towards the motor
Because drafting in Vegas is a non-packer
But now why is that?
The track is you still draft but the track isn't like Daytona
Where you have to be two by two to do anything
You can pass somebody without anybody
But he did Carl Edwards did get the gold belt
Again my favorite trophy in that car
Even been a lap down Tony Stewart finishing second
One Paul Blow Montoya finishing third
He is very well as a guy
He's won a race
He's a guy that came over from Formula One
And a lot of people were saying it doesn't translate
It's a whole different style of racing
And he has done very well
Another interesting fact from this race
You had three Toyotas in your top ten
Mark Marcos Ambrose, another Ford finishes fourth
Ryan Newman in fifth
Your first of your three Toyotas, Martin Truex Jr. finishes in sixth
Denny Hamlin, another Toyota in seventh
Dale Earnhardt Jr. third top ten in a row finishing eighth
Okay so again not that bad for us
He's points racing this year
It looks like an auto movie
Yeah, Kurt Busch at nine
A dodgy only dodge in the top ten
And Brian Bickers, another Toyota in tenth
We take a week off, we're done
Then we go to the Bristol Hot
Bristol Tennessee a very small track
If your car has no dents on it after Bristol
You probably didn't win the race
Now is there is this an oval track or a triangle track?
This is an oval track, very short
Known for a lot of bumping and bangin
And tempers for Bristol
And I believe we're at night
I believe Bristol's under the light
Now let me ask you this
Again, as a guy who's not very NASCAR educated
Do you?
Because the night race is something that's kind of a fairly recent phenomenon
Is it not?
Yeah, Bristol's been known to always do some stuff at night
It's just one of them
It's one of those tracks, a lot of history there
Dirtle wall trip in his day dominated Bristol
Now, is...
Do you like the night racing?
Yes, absolutely
I kind of like the night racing because it gives it kind of a different feel
Now the day night and the night is totally different
Right, day night, go ahead and explain the difference there
Day night is where you set your car up for daytime temperatures
And as the sun goes out and the track begins to cool
You have to then readjust a car to race at night time
So that's a little bit of a difference
I find that fascinating
That's a different type of science when you do the day night racing compared to the pure night racing
So...
Now, do you have a preference?
Do you like the day night or do you prefer a warning?
I like the day night because I think it challenges...
It challenges some people

I mean, I don't think anybody can
But it's a funny little thing
Especially the track like Bristol Martinsville
Very slow

For the top speed at Bristol may be 200 miles per hour Saturday
Because it's just not big enough to get the speeds up
