This is Beer thirty Sports O'clock. Oh my god. And, of course, we make a mess with the porter. Yay. And this episode's beer is brought to you by Edmunds Oast Brewing Company. It is called Leather Jacket. Brie set me up. This was not on my list, to start out with. But it's an American porter. It's a whole pint, and it is a whopping I don't know. It doesn't say what percentage it is. It doesn't say. Oh, six and a half percent. There you go. Oh, and first bill of mini. Breeze plugging in her phone over there. So she's not able to look. Wow. Maybe six and a half percent. It's fine. You figured it out. It's not as strong as I thought it was gonna be porter taste wise. It's a mild porter. Yeah. It's it's a little roasty, a little coffee esque, if you will. I mean, I say that about all the dark beers pretty much now. But, that's what it reminds me of. But it's not as bad. It's not it's actually it's pretty decent. For Porter, if you're new to porters, that would be the one I would this would be the one I'd suggest to start you off. Because even like even the aftertaste of everything is not really that bad. It's not like it's not like strong. It's not a pug nant. Pug nant? That was bad word. Pug nant? Bad word? Pungent? Pug nant? It's pungent? Hold on. I gotta Google that because You cannot. I gotta Google past that. I gotta Google that. I thought it was pug Pug nant? I thought it was pugnet. No. A pug is a dog. I know what a pug is. I know a dog is pug, but I thought it was pug I don't know why I thought it was pungent. Is it pungent? Yeah. You might be right. Jesus Christ. I think I did that before on this show. But And I corrected you. Pungent. Pungent. Pungent. Yeah. Well. Pungent. Whatever, man. Now it's time for news you can booze to. Alright. I really didn't wanna talk about this very much but I just keep seeing the WNBA and trans rights and men upset about trans women being able to play in the in in the sport? Grow up. Well, one one, yes. Maybe. Two, this is a facade. This is not an issue in the WNBA. There are no men playing as women. Mhmm. That there's never been an issue of this. Mm-mm. This is a talking point that really is for Cantor and the other guy, I forget his name already, I forgot his name, that really just are trying to build a right wing platform now is what it seems like. You know what I'm saying? Like, this is just a ploy to get as much attention as you can to to spin off and do a podcast and go your conservative right wing route. And that's cool, whatever, but it's like, why are you using the WNBA? Clearly because it's an easy target, but it's crazy because you would think the WNBA would kinda nip it in the bud, but they kinda let it run too. So like I feel like the WNBA is at fault here too because they should easily be like, this is a non issue. There has never been a trans person in the league. There even if there is a trans person in the league, we will decide that when that shit comes. Like, that shit ain't got nothing to do with us, what's going on overseas, what's going on. Like, people are like, oh, there's a player in France doing it right now. It's like, yeah, that's in fucking France. Like, since when have we gave a fuck about what France is doing? I mean, except in soccer. Like, what? So I don't really get it. I feel like this whole thing was fucking, they're like this whole thing is orchestrated to keep the fucking WNBA in the news because the playoffs are coming. The the Liberty, they've clinched the DC team. They clinched Minnesota, Ben clinched. So it's like, I feel like maybe this is kinda just getting blown out of proportion and WNBA is kinda like fuck it, let it play out because all pub is good pub right now. Like, it's keeping an eye on the w and things like that. But I also think it's kinda weird that that cancer is like wearing a shirt that women something and just it's just weird, bro. Like, it's very weird. Like, bro, you ain't even in the league no more. And like, the argument that I keep seeing is, well, they they don't they need to make a rule that trans women can't or transmit, yeah, trans women can't play in the WNBA. And it's like, why? They don't need to make a do they need to make a rule like that in football? Do they need to make a rule like that in hockey, in the w I mean, in the NBA? No. We there's no it there is no rules about none of that shit. Like nobody cares. If a woman wants to care, which by the way there is a girl who is balling right now at a at a high school in Hawaii playing both quarterback and linebacker, and she's a dog. So if she ends up playing in NFL, is anybody gonna fucking bat an eye? Probably talk a little crazy, but no. There's no rules in there that says she can't play. So who the fuck cares? It's not your problem. You don't even go to games unless you're trying to fucking do that. Like, I've never seen Cantor at a WNBA game on and I watched the WNBA. Never seen him at a game. All of a sudden he's at a fucking game to antagonize the fucking Chicago sky, which by the way, I forget the young lady's name and I feel bad about it now because I was like, fuck her. She she was talking tough but like y'all was get I mean they weren't losing badly at that point but they got blown out and it's like bro, you're like you got other things to focus on. Stay in the game like fuck him. But I understand it, you know, you gotta make a standpoint, you gotta stand on business because being quiet isn't necessarily the right answer either but it's just, I don't know, it just seems that this whole thing is out of out of nowhere and kinda out of whack and it just seems like it's just like a a bad publicity stunt that just won't go away and, you know, so, I do think, like I said, it keeps eyes on the league though, so call me devil's advocate, but I'm kinda with the NW NBA like fuck it, you know, let the let the let it keep rolling baby. Because we, you know, we got the eyes on us and we we need the advertisement dollars and if we say nothing, we get both sides of the advertising dollars. We get the we get the l the alphabet LGBTQ plus and we get the motherfucking straights that want their girls to their daughters and their aunts and cousins and nieces and stuff to go to the games and watch women play. If we don't say shit, we win. So honestly, I feel like it's a win win. Only person that looks like a jackass is Ennis Cancer and maybe the other guy that I forgot his name and, yeah, they they're the only ones that look kinda like an asshole and all the players that are like standing strong on one side or the other just I mean, listen, you believe what you believe, but I kinda feel like like I said, it's just really just not like, let let the game speak for itself. Yeah. Let the game speak for itself. Speaking of this, the game speaking for itself, Paige Buckets and she gotta be called Buckets from now on respectfully because she been on fire. She might be having an MVP season. Depending on how far the wings go, I feel like she should be definitely in contention for a MVP season. She has been balling out of this world. Az Fudd is out for the season, which is crazy because everybody thought they were gonna be the one two punch, and they were gonna need each other to start winning, but Page has been balling out of control, and the Wings are most likely going to the playoffs, most likely. Now how far they get, we'll see. But they definitely could make a playoff run. It's anybody's game. But yeah. And then I hope I said his name right. Inike Ogwamike. Ogwamike. Yeah. She is retiring. She announced it a week or so ago, basically, that she'll be retiring. She she'll be retiring after this season. She already has 11 all pro or, shit, all star games. She already has an MVP, and she has a championship. I mean, she's probably playing for one more but yeah, she's had enough other shenanigans of the WNBA but that's dope, shout out to her. And I wouldn't feel right if I didn't mention my girl, Angel Reese. She had an all star show up, she fucking she balled out. She's been balling regardless, she's been averaging double doubles in Atlanta and it's good to see on a regular basis. She's she gotten her shot a little bit better. She's playing a little bit less floppishly defense and, you know, offense. She's just playing through the contact and scoring. But she went fifteen, five and five on a 100% from the floor. So for those of you who love to point out that she always missing shots and getting her own rebound and then missing to get her own shot, No, she went 100% from the floor. So pay some respect, put some respect on her name and it was from all over the floor. It wasn't just like she hit threes, she hit, yeah, it was all over the floor. Crazy, crazy work, first player to do it. In NBA news, Klay Thompson is now a Miami Heat. He signed with the Heat after the Mavs released him from his well, paid him out, basically. Paid his contract out and they released him, and he went straight to the heat, which I don't blame him. I think that's a really good fit for him over there. He don't have to play great defense. Two big guys in the in the middle of the lane, Bam and Giannis. He also, you know, just can play the wing and just shoot. Shoot. Shoot. That's all they need you to do. Shoot and make your threes. Shoot me still a high 30% shooter. I mean, that's you know, can't be mad at it. So I think it was a good look for them. You know, that was pretty much it for NBA news. And that's all we got. Exactly. Good. NFL. Finally. It's almost here, man. It's almost here. This week's the first Cowboys home game. Preseason. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The one and only. The one and only. Yeah. Because it's only three weeks of preseason now. Against the Saints. Against the Saints. Let's see how that goes. I think Cowboys will be fine. Been a lot of fights over there with the Cowboys. Exactly. So I'm gonna be entertained the entire time. Yeah. I think it'll be I think it's we're gonna it's not gonna carry over to the game too much. I mean would hope so. Would hope so, but, you know yeah. Exactly. Find out on Friday. But in other news, tragically, Ashton Genti has been believed to have torn his ACL. So for those of you who are fantasy football owners like myself, if you drafted him, you are scrambling for his backup right now. Did you draft him? No, did not. Do you remember who did? An Arleague, I think he went third overall or second or third overall. So it was probably the comedian. I don't know. No. I went third. Disregard. Mhmm. So he went second and I forget who the fuck picked him up. I don't remember. I wasn't there. Yeah. Whatever. Can't be a part of it anymore. I can look it up though. I mean, hold on. Let me let me see real quick. Give me one second. Can tell you exactly For those that are wondering, I am not a part of this league this year. I mean, that's your fault though. Okay. I had work. Your fault I couldn't get out of work. I mean I also found out that as someone that works with the Cowboys Okay. I am not allowed to part Oh, that's yeah. That's right. Of any fantasy league. Yeah. Not any. Technically, you can do day by day. Yeah. You can do you can do what is it again? Regular. It's not like. The daily. You can do daily, but you can't and you can only do No. You can do you can't do daily. Really? Yeah. No. You can't do daily. You can do yearly, I think. I think that's it. I don't know. But either way, I was not taking the risk. Nah. For real. I hear you on that, which is crazy and it started goes then I found out that I can't gamble, which I don't anyway, but I can't gamble on any sport. Doesn't matter. Preseason, off season, none of that. Can't do any of that. So Yeah. So Mac drafted him. Or Mac. Mac drafted him. And, yeah, I'm sure the waiver wire's gonna be going crazy. Like, everybody is everybody is losing How much their do fucking think not even know? Oh, he knows. He probably it was big news. It was big news now. Does he care enough for this league to actually Change it? Change it? Maybe. Probably not. Yeah. Probably not. I mean, he might. I mean, he's got some he's got a decent roster looking at it, so we'll see. Picked up my boy from last year. Oh. You have to look. Yeah. He plays on the Ravens? You're talking about Ravens. I don't have a Raven on my team. Yeah. You do. Or he played on the Ravens last year. Do you change? I'm trying to see who he's talking about. London? London? Drake London? London played for falcons. Falcons. That's it. It was a bird. Twas a bird, and I remember that. Was like, for the Ravens. I'm like, I ain't got nobody on the Ravens. Pick this year. The Ravens are fucking terrible on offense. Derrick Henry's the only option. But no, I yeah. I picked up Drake London. That's fucking hilarious. You're welcome. I would have picked him up again this year. He was great last year. He's gonna be he's gonna be okay this year, as long as they don't let Tua fuck it up. But Yeah. Yeah. I think Mike Mike, which NFL news, Penix has been cleared as of today for, full participant in practice and stuff like that. So hopefully he'll be ready by, you know, game two or three of the season because Tua looks terrible. Just like Deshaun Watson looked terrible this whole preseason and they still named him the week one starter. I don't understand the Shadoor hate that this organization has, but you drafted him. You drafted Dylan Gabriel who if I look this up right now, right? Let's look this up, right? Dylan Gabriel is no longer in the league and I Oh, he is a quarter Oh, he's on the practice squad. Bruh, he is third string and dropping off the roster very soon. And I just don't understand, I just don't understand why why they won't start Shadoor. Shadoorla has looked great preseason. He had one maybe he had maybe two interceptions all preseason so far, and then Deshaun Watson has looked abysmal. I mean, he went, like, five for 12 last game, an interception, 30 yards, and no touchdowns. Where Shadoor went nine for nine for 12 or nine for 11, one interception but one touchdown and, like, 90 yards. Like, I don't understand what we're doing. I don't understand why. I kinda feel like I think they're trying to see if there's any value that they can get. They don't wanna just release him because you're gonna owe a bunch of money, but I just don't see anybody really picking him up. They might be somebody that's desperate for a quarterback, but who? I don't know. Like, maybe the Jets, maybe the Cardinals, maybe I don't know. Maybe a backup for the Bucks, but I don't like, I can't see anybody really going out and trading for Deshaun Watson and all the shit that comes with it. Now, yeah, I just don't see it. I I don't see it. I don't know what the hell the Browns are doing. Cut your losses, learn to fucking take your l and move on, but it's just they are continuing to try to ride this wave and it's like, bro, it's very weird to me. It's just yeah. It's just very weird. Another weird thing, San Francisco's 49ers owner, Jed York, was arrested in Ohio for a prostitution charge. During All places. Bruh. And when I tell you that the place that they showed where they arrested him at Mhmm. Trailer park. Oh. Trailers. Like, mobile homes. You know, you find it where you can find it. For a 140 Which is 2¢ for normal people in their paychecks. First off Compared to a multi millionaire. First off, I gotta know, did I wanna know what this chick supposedly look like. If she's only a $140, right? First off. Second of all, I would like to know, like, you are a billionaire. Mhmm. Get you a fucking Go to Vegas, man. No. Well, okay. No. Find a discreet way to make her go to a hotel. Hotel motel Holiday Inn as Pitbull says. Like, there's Leah, like, there's so there's so many questions as to why this trailer park, why a $140 hooker and what the fuck? Like You know what? Maybe he's in love. This ain't pretty woman, dog. Have good news. This ain't this is crazy. There's no Julia Lauber. Yeah. Like, what it was, fam. Like like, I I mean, I get it from a discreet standpoint. Nobody would expect you to be there. At a trailer park in Ohio? Yeah, no. Facts, you're the owner of the fucking 49ers, yeah like, yeah like nobody expects to see you there, I kinda understand that from the standpoint of that, but like there's so many, there's so many different angles to do this. And like, and I say that from a standpoint of thinking like, of all As the Ziggy has bought them. Yo. Nothing wrong with buying when you're out of town, I Well, I know a couple of that have had. Like yeah. It's wait. What? Listen. A lot of people come into my bar. Oh. A lot of people talk. I thought that was going a whole different direction. No. No. No. No. I was like, wait. What? No. People come into my bar and talk to me issues. Yeah. So I mean, listen. When you're out of town and, know, if you're sick if you're single if you're single and, you know, you don't feel like really going to the clubs and shit like that. I mean, there's there's ways to do these things. Right? There's ways to do these things. And I know we live in an exposure culture where everybody wants to go viral. So I get it. Hoes are discreet hoes are are hard to find right now. Understandably so. So you know how to find a discreet ho. That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying I do. No. I'm just saying that there are them out there. So I understand some of the lengths that you have to go through for these type of things. And then when I and then when I and then But you have enough money to basically get a get a debit card of some sort or a prepaid card and have her book the room. You pay for it. Fucking you pay her for her services. She meets you at or you meet her at the room. Bro, there's so many different like, why are you in a fucking trailer park? My only only thought process in this is that it was not he was not going there for a woman. He was not going for a woman. I feel like he was going for something that we just talked about with the WNBA, and that is why he went that far down the rabbit hole because that's the only thing that makes sense. Like, there's gotta be women all there's women waiting for players to the hotel lobbies. Go to Florida. Okay. Why do you know where all the whores are? Like, this is crazy. Okay? What can I say? Let me find you over here praying for Gucci. Go to Miami. Like I mean, facts. Go to Miami. Go to Bruh. Go to New York. You can go anywhere in the world. You anywhere can in the like, and that's the thing. You can he can literally has enough money to hop on a plane and go Dallas, Texas. He has enough money to hop on a plane and go over to Amsterdam where nobody knows who the fuck you are and you could do as much nasty shit as you want to man. You could do as much nasty shit as you want, all kind of fantasies and nobody would know. So I don't understand this, but he got off light besides everybody talking about it. He pled no contest, which, I mean, whatever. And he got time served and I think of a fine of, like, $1,200. It cost you more for the fine than it cost you for the hooker. Like, bro, that's crazy, bro. It's not a bad punishment, but, like, the niners just can't catch a break at this point. Like, this season better this season better be great for the forty niners because if not, they got some they got some restructuring to do because that shit is crazy. And in wilder sports news, because that wasn't just that was wild, but that wasn't the wildest thing that happened in the NFL this past week. A player who essentially is being cut by the Cleveland Browns in Ohio, is now going back to college to play for LSU. And everybody's in an uproar. Everybody's upset. Everybody's, you know, whatever the case would be. His name is Daquan Wright. He is a tight end and he's going back to LSU where I guess he played for Ole Miss with Lane the year prior. So now he's going back to LSU with Lane, you know, whatever the case would be. And everybody's like, oh, see, this is why the college football NIL is always blah blah blah blah Nick Saban trying to warn us. No. Nick just didn't want players to get paid because he knew that the the the paradigm? Pendoline paradigm. Pendoline swing? Or The paradigm shift. Yes. It would shift. Whatever. Basically, he knew The pendolin would shift. He knew that the power was gone. He knew that the players were gonna get all the power now, which this is what happens. And I do feel like it's wrong. I feel like it's not cool, especially if that player came back from the NFL and took a roster spot from somebody else. Now, if they needed a tight end and they didn't have one and they were kind of makeshift in one and he didn't take from anybody else's red shirt or anybody else's, or he didn't make somebody red shirt or he didn't take from anybody else's scholarship money. Mhmm. I'm fine with it. How old is he? 24. 23 or 20 as a doctorate. You know what I'm saying? Like, if he's going for his doctorate at LSU, that's a little weird, but It's not though. I mean, LSU is a good school. Then, I mean, going for your doctor for whatever. So if he was already gonna go like, if it didn't work out in the NFL, he was like, I'm gonna go to LSU and I'm gonna go to college for this. Don't see why it would be a problem either. As long as they're not taking from roster Someone that's been there for two years. Or someone that came that was recruited from another school that came and then gonna get replaced. Like, that's not fair. Like, that's fucked up. But I I a lot of the coaches and p p fans and media pundits There's that and the other. Everybody is freaking out because it's like, well, when's it gonna stop? And it's like, this is about as bad as it's gonna Well, I mean, this is about as bad as it could technically get. Like, players going back to college, Jaden Daniels trying to sue for the number five at LSU, which was a complete joke. Like who cares bro? Like they can't use your likeness anymore, fine. But to try to say you don't want them to use number five again is crazy. Like that's crazy. You didn't win no championship dog and you ain't no you wasn't no LSU hall of famer. Like, what are we doing here? But I feel like the the issue that we're going to run into that they're eventually going to have to regulate this shit. I've been saying that for the longest. But he's not the only person. He's just the only person that went to a big school program. There's a lot of players that are coming back. Apparently, there's a 47 year old pastor at San Diego City College. I don't know. Bro, listen. If people wanna go back and live their college dreams, we champion people doing shit like that for regular jobs, for fucking to go back to college and get their degree because they wanna move up in the ranks of their career. Why do we get mad at at players that, oh, they can't make it in NFL, Cool. Well, then I'll go and finish my school and play again another year or two and maybe I'll take serious more academic shit serious. Or I could go get a million dollars, millions of dollars, whatever the case may be or a couple 100,000, whatever, and set my family up. I don't see anything wrong with it. Like I said, as long as they're not taking from roster spots that were scholarships for other people and you just leave them abandoned, which is what is gonna happen, like let's just be real. A lot of these teams are gonna end up doing that shit. Kentucky, I'm looking at you. But I think LSU, think they didn't I don't remember hearing it about no tight end over there anyway. But a lot of these players are realizing, fuck, I can't I can't make it in the NFL. Cool thing about the supreme or the judge hearing or what the the the verdict is that they made it where you cannot double dip. You have to pay back all monies from the NFL back to the to the team. You can't take that money and then go do NIL on top of that. That's unfair. It's pretty fair. It seems pretty fair to me. I think it's like like I've been saying, it ain't no fun when the rabbit has the gun. And y'all been making so much money that now the shift has happened and it's auto corrected entirely too much and now y'all are scared. But that I don't got nothing to do with the players. The players are trying to make sure that they are taken care of and you would probably do the same thing if you were in that position. Because who in their right mind knowingly is going to turn down a couple million for a couple $100 that you are not guaranteed. You're not guaranteed any money in the NFL. You get hurt, you get cut, you are gone. You can get traded to a team that really don't want you but just be a piece. It's all business when the owners do it but when the players start doing it, it's a problem. It's to me, it's just like, look. It happened. It's gonna happen. I think it's gonna be a trend, and I think we're gonna see more players wait to come out. I think there are gonna be a lot of players like the the kid from Ole Miss. I say kid. That's a grown man. The guy the quarterback at Ole Miss, think is gonna be a lot more like him staying for six years, seven years, whatever case may be, trying to get as much money as they can and get the degree because they know they might not make it in the NFL. Or if they do make it, they might be good for like or on the roster for a couple years, but that ain't paying them no real money. And then if it is paying them real money, they may not be happy in the NFL. Listen, just because you make it there don't mean you wanna stay there. Now, it makes your chances a lot easier to walk away when you got a degree and already got a bag. Now you can go do whatever the hell you want. I'm just saying. Number one thing wealthy people talk about is that they get up and have the freedom to do whatever they want and going back to college to get the NIL money because you're gonna get guaranteed more money than you would have in the NFL and it's guaranteed going to college at least for a year or two, then I don't have a problem with it. That is the wealthiest thing that they can do. They have that freedom. Let them have it. I'm cool with it. Now, it's time for the beard flight of the night. First up, we have nine zero three Brewers peanut butter crunch. It is a cream ale brewed with peanut butter and peanuts. It is 6.2%. 6.2%. The lied to me. The can said five. No. It's 6.2. Oh, wow. It is peanut butter, cereal, nutty, basically a cream ale. You know what's crazy is it it smells like a nut of butter. I love it. Wait, which one? The old the regular John. Okay. The one where it looks like a nut? Yeah. I don't like those. I'm thinking about the ones with like the chocolate on it. Oh. Nutter butter. Yeah. That was that's what I'm talking about. It looks like it has the lines on it though. Uh-huh. Right? So there's two different guys. Okay. So there's the I don't I think they might have two different names, but I every time I see them, I think they're the same. One looks like like a peanut Mhmm. And has peanut butter in the middle. No. Not that. Oh, that is a Nutter Butter. One is an Anti Ann's Nutter Butter. Oh, no. The the OG. Nutter Butter. The the it comes in a red pack. The one that looks like a peanut, I think. I think yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that one. That's the one I was talking about. That's the one I I've never had the other one. The other one you're talking about. Do like the chocolate one? Nah. I don't I don't really like nutter butters like that. I don't really like nutter butters. I ain't gonna I'm not really like a wafer candy guy. Oh, I love it because it's like chocolate and then peanut butter and then wafer and then Yeah. See, the wafer's where you lose me. But, like, I tear it apart. So some people eat them differently. The whole controversy is some people eat them differently. Some people, like, bite into them Okay. And some people tear them apart. I'm the kind of person that, like, tears them apart and eats, like, each piece piece by piece. Then what's I'm gonna bring it to you next experience this I will tell you that this does not taste like a nutter butter. It is actually like a really clean cream ale. It has a little hint of peanut butter in there. I didn't it wasn't overpowering. It wasn't very strong peanut butter. It, you know, it was it it's a cream ale. It's really, really, I don't wanna say creamy, but, yeah, creamy. Yeah. There you go. Next up, we have the Great Divide brewing Tropical Titan. What does your thing say it again? It's a fruit at IPA, 7.1%. Ah, the first time the can matched together with It is mango and guava. Some people describe it as marmalade and bitter. I don't see I don't don't necessarily taste bitter. I could see But you like IPAs. So Yeah. But I'm saying, like, even with whenever you have, like, the fruits and sometimes you do get a little bitterness depending on the fruit, but the mangoes really don't give it you could definitely taste the mangoes in there like now that it has the has had the chance to breathe a little bit. There's a little more mango taste in there. The smell wasn't very it's not very fruity smelling. It's I can see why people would say bitter. It does have a little bit of a little bit on the back end of a bitter aftertaste, but it's not crazy. It's actually really good. It's it's one of those beers where you can have one or two and feel it and it but it feels like a summer like it feels like a a a summer drink by the pool kind of drink. So, yeah, we go with that. Next up, we have Martenhouse brewing, golden crispy, and American Pilsner. What do they have here? 7.4. Yes. Seven oh, that's two in a row. 7.4%. It is grainy, rich, and a little sweet, a little slight. Smells like a Pilsie? It's just a Pilsner. Crispy was the right name for this. Very crisp, very pilsner. Ta da. Yeah. Ta da. Ta da. Next up, we have Oma Gang Brewery, our brewery Oma Gang. Mhmm. It is their pale sour ale. It is 6.9%. Yep. And it's a sour ale. It's a collaboration with Leafman's Brewery Ah. In Belgium. That hence the can. I didn't know that. Yeah. It's apple, dry, Aged for months. Smells like wine. Not gonna lie. Has the same Sour drinks like a fine white wine. Yeah. Definitely smells like wine. Tastes like wine. Not very sour, not very sweet, kinda very fermented white wine ish. Like, I feel like I'm drinking a barefoot bottle of wine. You ever had a barefoot wine? No. Are you serious? Yeah. I'm not a wine drinker. That's valid. Alright. That's fair. Barefoot. Cheap. I know what you're talking about. Cheap, as I say. I'm just not a wine drinker. Okay. Not a wafer guy, so I get it, you know. Don't I'm a judge. I'm a wine girl. Yeah. I don't judge. I'm not a wine guy either. Mhmm. But, you know, I have had wine dates, we'll say that. So gotta, you know. Yeah. Gotta partake in wine when you're going on wine dates. Beer of the night for me, this was kind of kind of a tough choice. It was like the best of the the best of the lightest. Bland. I wouldn't say bland. They weren't bland. They just weren't like I was expecting a little more from the peanut butter crunch one Uh-huh. And I didn't get it. And then I was expecting a little more sweetness from the the Great Divide one and I didn't get it. And then I was expecting a little something from the Pilsner and it just didn't hit. I mean, it was just a Pilsner. And then the sour tasted more like wine, so I don't really I don't know. I don't know. I I don't I wouldn't go back to that. Yeah. I'm gonna go with Great Divide. They're the least disappointing one, I guess, I would say. Alright. Yeah. There you go. Great Divide. Beer of the night. And that was beer flight of the night. And now, it's time for the Conversations at the Keg. And I wanna go back to college football. And I'm gonna take you back. I wanna take you back. NCAA really needs to get a commissioner and we just need to just bite the bullet and make somebody in charge of this shit and I will do it. I don't know if I want that responsibility because between the SEC crying about fucking leaving, between Notre Dame not wanting to join a conference, between the ACC and their bullshit how they pick a champion, I would be changing so much shit in the NCAA. But I think it's time. It's time for a commissioner. It's time for someone to step up and have like a a be the face. Have the board of directors if you want, whatever the case may be, but they need there needs to be a face to the NCAA like Roger Goodell. I don't wanna say like the NBA commissioner because that dude is a fucking joke. But to like Rob Manford from MLB, they just need some need someone. They need somebody. You know what I mean? And they need to it needs to happen now before this shit continues to spiral out of control. Because again, like I said, the the the shift is happening because it's auto correcting itself so much so that you're losing your fans. And when you start losing your fans to the point where it's costing you money, the NIL is eventually going to dry up. Then who's gonna get left holding the bag? Not the player not the coaches, not the not the NCAA, not the universities because they still taxing the shit out of your children to go to their school. The players will be the ones holding the bag dried up, shriveled, and fucking dying off. Whereas the coaches will go figure out because they're grown professional adults. And then the the, you know, the staff and all that shit like that might take a hit because a lot of them are college kids. But this I mean, I'm just saying it's time for a commissioner, it's time for somebody to step up, and it's time for somebody to not necessarily put an end to it, but kinda put some rules and regulations in place. And I I get it, you know, we get the it's so funny to me because the judges that are the supreme courts or whatever the case may be that are doing this are the same supreme courts that that your boy fucking put in office to try to stop this type of shit, but they just going along with it. Because again, it's all about money and if if the money is there, the money is cool. So, yeah. So I just think that college sports in general are about to take a nose dive as far as like viewership for a little bit. But I don't I don't care. Yeah. But I also don't want the I don't want like I said, I don't want the players to end up suffering because of some of fact is that the players are just doing what the adults have been the quote unquote adults have been doing for years because nobody bats an eye when Lane Kiffin fucking holds up Ole Miss like he did last year. Just literally last year. Like, we had we we had a whole press circus around whether or not he was staying in Ole Miss or not. And now all a sudden when kids are like, oh, well, fucking, I'm gonna come back to college. Kids. When adults are coming back to college to go play ball and get a degree or whatever the case may be, now we're all upset? Nah. Like, handle your handle your scandal. Like, it's okay. Let them fucking do the same shit that the adults are doing. I get it for those of you like Ashley who who says, you know, they get an education and shit like that. Yeah. But to what extent? Like, just because it was the way of old doesn't mean that it needs to be the way it always is. You have to change and adapt. These guys are not going to college and becoming scholars. They're becoming fucking professional athletes. So there needs to be a commissioner or the NFL can just step in and make a fucking g league like the NBA does. If you're not ready yet, we'll just make like not a practice squad, but actually make a g league where you have practice squad and and other underdeveloped or undeveloped guys going through the system, playing games on a weekly basis, same as you would a regular NFL schedule. And honestly, have them do it during, you know, before the off season or or before the training camps and shit like that. And then they get promoted at training camp due to the shorts. Like, we would as fans would love it because we get to see NFL talent all year round essentially. Like, you want more football, this would be it. So the NFL needs to either step in and create a g league of some sort or developmental league or some sort and the college needs a commissioner so that this shit can stop happening and we can all stop having these fake outrage rage bait moments. I'm off my hot horse And yeah. This is beer thirty sports o'clock, and we need a commissioner. This is a Stolen Water Media production.
