This is beer 30 sports hot clock. Oh. And this episode's beer is brought to you by Tupp's Beer Company. It is called Galaxy Hoppin'. It is a hazy IPA with galaxy hops, and it is a whopping 8.2%. My god. Tupps, what are we doing? I like this can though. The the spaceman. Region for the hops. Oh. It is bitter, hoppy, and when you pour it, cloudy. You may I'm I might pour it. That don't tempt me. It's really good. I don't really I don't really it's very hoppy. Mhmm. Very hoppy. I don't consider it bitter, but I will say that I'm more of a hazy IPA guy, IPA guy, so it doesn't really it's yeah. I'm good with that. So but yeah. So that's that's pretty good. I you know, it's it's it's in the roller. It's in the Rolodex. Rolodex. Rotation. There we go. That's what I was trying to say. Rotation. It will be in the rotation because it's pretty good. Maybe on the back and a little bit of bitterness, but not, not insanely bad. It tastes pretty damn good for a hazy that strong. Does not taste crushable. Do not. I warn you. Do not. Probably shouldn't do more than two or three of those at a time unless you're at the house sitting around doing nothing and watching football or watching something. Football. Right. And speaking of football What? We're gonna talk about football? College football, in fact. Oh. College football, Kegger. First one of the season. I'm excited. Okay? The AP poll or the coach poll came out today or yesterday or whatever, and it's like got everybody in an uproar, the schedules are out. I'm planning on a couple of football games outside of the city of Dallas Fort Worth. I might just go up to Oklahoma for, an Oklahoma, OU game. I might have to make my way to motherfucking New York for like a Rutgers game. I don't know. We're gonna figure it out. But I'm going to a couple games. I'm going to tailgates. Hell, I might even try to get to a LSU tailgate. LSU tailgates are legendary. But anyway, I gotta travel more, I gotta do some more, I gotta go see some more games. And I might take my son with me so if you see me, you throw me a beer and I throw it back, just understand it's no disrespect. I just don't drink a lot in front of my son. And most likely, I've already had a couple of rounds before you saw me. So yeah. Speaking of, we're gonna predict well, I'm gonna predict. I don't know if I ain't doing Jack. Breeze is here. She's just here for the ride. I'm gonna predict playoff teams and winners of each division. So first off, there has been a lot of uproar as far as like the top 25. But let's just start with the conference or division winners straight off the bat. Right? SEC. I did them first because I wanna get them out the way because I'm tired of hearing about them and they're wanting to boycott the NCAA and go on their own and they're the greatest conference and blah blah blah, whatever. We've been fed that bullshit too long. SEC winner is no surprise is gonna be Georgia. It's gonna be Georgia. I think Texas is not ready to take that crown yet. I think that OU's not anywhere near ready even though I do think Mateer is gonna be a good matchup. I think Mateer is gonna be a great quarterback. I think that he's going to put OU on the map to get them into the playoffs. I just don't think that they're an all around team that's gonna do it. I think Georgia, it's their conference to lose, and I really don't think that anybody besides maybe Alabama, maybe Texas, but I just don't think Texas is gonna do it. I think Texas is not ready yet. I think Archmanning is all hype. I think Archmanning is not there yet. This isn't the year where he just figures it out. But I do think he's good. I don't think he's bad. Could be an OU thing. It could be a I don't like Texas thing. Sure. But I don't think that Arch is ready yet. Yet. Now, will he be that? Most likely, but I don't think he's ready yet. The ACC is going to be Miami. They are gonna win the ACC finally. They got a good quarterback that they stole from Duke. They got good receivers. They got good defense. They got good o line. Honestly, I would be surprised if Miami does not make a deep run into the playoffs, let alone to the championship again because they are very, very stacked. They did they did what they needed to do as far as paying for the players, which is the new college football way, and they hit up a got a bunch of people out of transfer portal, including in the own their own conference of the ACC. Duke got absolutely dismantled, which is cool, not a big deal. It happens. People were upset, but nobody cares. And especially if he starts winning, it was the right move in the first place. So I do think that the I do think that they are going to have to figure out I do think they're gonna have to figure it out. They're gonna have some, like, games where they look a little sus, but the good thing is is that they're gonna have enough games where they're gonna win the ACC, and they're gonna be in the playoffs. So hint to later on. Big twelve, everyone sit down, everyone hold their horses. It's gonna be the BYU motherfucking cougars. And, yes, I cussed after talking about BYU. BYU looked really good last year, and they have the same squad, and they have they have less obstacles in the way. BYU's coach was almost taken. He said, no. He would got he's got a job to finish, and he is dead serious and dead set on winning not only the big 12, but making it to the playoffs and winning the whole thing. And I believe him. I don't believe that they're that good to do it, but I do believe him that they are that good to win the big 12. The championship, whole another ball game, whole another story, but the big 12, less obstacles in their way. Texas Tech with their issue with the quarterback, and that's really it out of the big 12. Utah is gonna have a good year, but they're not they're not worth shit, to be honest. U of H, I I just the big 12 is a joke. I don't really there's nobody there that's really gonna be an issue for BYU. Just being honest. I think Arizona State but Arizona State doesn't have they don't have the caliber of players. They lost a lot of good players through the draft, through transfer portal, and their coach, although he is an Arizona State guy and he's really good, I just are they in the big 12 or pack? I don't know. But it doesn't really matter. I don't see anybody beating anybody beating BYU out of the big 12 at the championship level in the championship game. It just I don't see it. They're gonna face tech. BYU is gonna win easy. Bong bong. Big ten. This is the real gauntlet. Everybody talks about the SEC. I get it. We've been hyped up for years thinking about the SEC. We've been thinking that the SEC is the greatest conference of all and they deserve so many their their their number one team could face an NFL team and blah blah blah. Shut the fuck up. No. The Big Ten is the real gauntlet and I'm a tell you why. First off, the champions, Indiana came from are from are in the big 10. Penn State, big 10. Michigan, although, granted, the coaching change with all the issues going on, still a problem. Oregon, big problem. Ohio State, the biggest problem. And then Illinois and all the other smaller, teams in the conference, that is a fucking gauntlet. Don't let the media hype you up and and let you believe that the SEC is just this great astronomical thing. They got fucking Kentucky and Mississippi State for God's sakes. Like Ole Miss just became something to talk about last year or the year before. Let's not act like SEC is just God above in football. Big 10 is the real gauntlet, neither here nor there. Big 10 winner though is going to be Ohio State. I don't think anybody is going to beat Ryan Day at this. I think Oregon may be the closest to them as far as getting there, but I just don't see Oregon I don't know. Dan Dan Lanning just, you know, he's got a lot of question marks, got a lot of issues, but I don't know. I just got I I just Ryan Day has figured it out. He's got over the hump to beat Michigan. He's got over the hump to win a championship. He he knows how that feels, and he cannot let another big 10 school be in the big ten championship or the championship again, and he's out for blood. So I believe that they will figure it out, and they are going to yeah. They're gonna get it together and win the big 10. The big 10 only. Notre Dame. Y'all know how much I love Notre Dame. They're going to win their imaginary ass conference because they play absolutely no one, and it their schedule is the easiest I've ever seen. They have to play USC and Miami, which I don't even think, like, USC is that good. And then Miami, I think, is gonna win that. And yeah. They're they're but they're gonna win their imaginary conference, which is gonna get them, again, in the playoffs. Spoiler alert. And before we get to the playoffs, I do have to talk about this coaches poll that popped out, top 25. There was some recent there's some notable issues or surprises or shock that happened. We'll start with the good first. Right? Because we have which the coaches are crazy for this, they have Indiana ranked at sixth. Now, sixth place you're thinking, oh, it's still top 10. It's, you know, blah blah blah. They just won the championship. They didn't lose everybody. They lost their quarterback, yes, but the guy the guy they have replacing him, excuse me, is outstanding from what I've seen, from what I've read, from what I hear. What are we doing? You definitely wanna give this dude some billet and board bullshit again to to I just can't count Signetti out. Granted, it's six. It's not like he's not out he's just right outside the top five. I understand, but they're the champions. Like, how are they not higher? Miami is ranked seven. Same thing. How? They're in the champ they were in the championship game last year and literally got better. I don't think Carson Beck is a better quarterback than the quarterback they got from Duke. Like, what are we doing? Granted there was some holes maybe in linebacker, or defensive line, they missed they're gonna miss Bane, but I think they got arguably the same amount of talent. Like, I don't I don't understand the coaches poll, man. OU's ranked ninth. I believe it's I don't think they should be that high. And I'm an OU fan. Let me just say that. Let me put my OU cape on real quick. Boomer. I don't think thank you. I don't think that they should be that high. It's the Meteer effect. Meteer is their quarterback. Meteer effect, I get it, but we lost a lot to the draft. We lost a lot on that offensive line, the running backs. We lost a lot on that defensive line. So I'm just worried. I haven't really seen or heard much that made me enthusiastic to put them in the top 10. Granted, I do think they'll figure it out, but they are in the SEC. How much can a quarterback carry you? We're gonna find out. I do think he will carry them. They will get far by the grace of their easy ass schedule because their schedule is really fucking easy. But it's really difficult for me to put them at nine right now. Just really difficult. And I'm an OU fan. I'm an OU fan. Let me say that right now. I I maroon is my motherfucking color. Okay? I rock with them 1000%, but I do think nine is a little too high. USC ranked fourteenth. Too high. Not mad at it as mad at it as I am, like, at the top six or the top Indiana not being in the top five or Miami being in the seven. Listen. I get it. It's gotta be the year for Lincoln Riley. Right? It's gotta be the year. But it's Lincoln Riley. He hasn't done shit since OU. He has literally done nothing the entire fucking time he's been at OU. He had arguably the greatest quarterback in, well, not arguably the greatest quarterback in USA history, but one of the top core he took the best quarterback and still couldn't get a winning season. So I don't understand why they're ranked so high. Maybe they're drinking the Kool Aid. You know, everybody thinks, but their schedule is not that easy looking at it, and maybe they're trying to give them a a a good fall from grace because they're gonna fall. They're going to fall. And a pleasant surprise in the top 15 out of the big 12 and a force to be reckoned with, I think BYU, deserve to be there. I'm glad they're getting the recognition. And like I said, they're gonna win the big 12. They're get themselves in the playoffs because of that win, winning the big 12. And I think I think they're gonna they're gonna ruffle some feathers this year. I think that if you're a gambling man, which I am, I would take them in majority of their games this season. I think the coach is definitely looking for revenge. He did not like how the season ended, and he wants blood. And he sees a weak, weak conference. There's a reason he stayed. He understood the assignment. So be prepared, BYU. I will be putting a lot of money on you motherfuckers. Please don't piss me off. And last but not least, other surprises. Clemson is ranked. Yes. Clemson, Dabo Sweeney, the man who don't believe in the transfer portal or NIL or whatever, like it's 1967. Clemson is in a rebuild year phrase whatever. They haven't been good in the last two years and they're not gonna be good this year. I don't understand why the coaches put them up there on the '20 as '23. I get it. It's '23, Ziggy. Let it go. No. 23 means that anybody they play early in the season will get, oh, they were ranked when they beat them, but we all know that they are dog shit. We all know that they are doodoo on a napkin, but we put them in the top 23 conspiracy theorists. Hear me clearly, not one, but they put them in the top 25 so that LSU, when they beat them, beat the dog shit out of them this year, that they will have a another ranked team on their resume. Because we all know LSU is they wanna see LSU back and then the thing with Lane, it's a great story, blah blah blah blah blah. Coaches, I'm looking at you. Y'all are sus for that shit. Super sus. Clemson is a joke right now. I'm sorry. They might not even be they might be second to last, maybe third to last in their own conference, but they're ranked twenty third? Crazy work. Crazy work. Now, I don't wanna be a conspiracy theorist anymore, But it's time. For the way too early playoff predictions for the college football bracket, college football playoff, whatever. Y'all know what I'm talking about. I'm gonna start from the bottom. So number 12. This was actually tougher than it sounded. I really, you know, because it's a group six team. Excuse me. I had to do some digging, I had to do some research and there were two teams that just kept sticking out to me. Two teams, UNLV, Boise State. Remember, I'm hear me hear me clearly. UNLV, Boise State. I looked at the schedules, I looked at I looked at their their players. I looked at their coach staff. Lot of continuity. Yeah. Continuity on the coaching staff. A lot of talent on the roster. Right? Scheduling. They each have pretty good schedules. They they got kinda what we would call easy schedules. And I get it. They playing against, you know, cakewalk schools and things of that nature. There should be a cakewalk of a schedule. Should be. But what I do think is UNLV is gonna run the table. They're gonna they're gonna obliterate damn near everybody since they have such a cakewalk schedule unless they have a slip up or injury, obviously. Right? But I think that UNLV, again, betting favorites in a lot of my parlays this year, they look good on paper. Hopefully, they can match that on paper on the field because they really have an easy schedule. I mean, like, god forbid, Any the easiest schedule. Right? Now, I do think they're gonna have all blowouts except for maybe Cal, but that's because they're traveling to Cal, maybe UNT because they're traveling to UNT, but I don't know, man. I it just I don't know. But Boise State also looks good on paper. Hopefully, they can put that on the field. They're gonna have an early season test that's gonna help them move past UNLV, and it's gonna be a loss. Oh, what? It's a loss. How could that help? Because there are such things as good losses. The playoff committee has already showed you that they will take in consideration a motherfucking good loss over an undefeated season. They just will. And Boise State first week out the gate are playing Oregon. Listen. If that ain't a fucking welcome to the big leagues slap in the face first week, I don't know what is, but it's great for them. Reason it's great for them is if they can show and prove that they can stick with the big dogs of Oregon and not necessarily win because nobody I don't give a fuck if you're a Boise State fan or not or you're an alum of Boise State. None of you believe that you're gonna beat Oregon. I don't care who you are. Now will you cover? That's a whole another that's a whole another ballgame. But if they keep it close and they cover and they and they lose gracefully, I'll say, it'll be early enough in the season that they can essentially dominate the rest of their cakewalk schedule and get into the playoff at number 12. So I have Boise State coming in at number 12. I said all that to say Boise State will be at number 12. That was a lot. Number 11 is gonna be LSU. That's good old boy Lane. Got them boys rocking and rolling. He got the other raspy voice. Well, I forget it. Adrian. I forget. Go Tigers. That's all I know him as. He's a part of the staff. They LSU is gonna be rocking and rolling. The coaching coaches polls, AP polls, everybody's trying to help them get to where they need to be. They're gonna face Ole Miss, which is gonna be great. Highlight it on the calendar because it's gonna be absolutely great. And, they're gonna they're they're gonna be in the SEC, so they're gonna have some gauntlet, and they're gonna they're probably gonna lose maybe maybe two games. This is the year we're gonna get a couple of two game lost teams in there, and it's gonna be like, what the fuck? How is that possible? It's just because of the gauntlets that they have to go through. So number 11 is gonna be LSU. Their schedule, besides like the Ole Miss, besides maybe some of the some of the SEC teams that they have to face on a regular, they've got Mississippi State. They've just got some really cakewalk games, and I really feel like if they get two losses, they still might get in because they're gonna be two losses to, like, very high ranked teams, like, high ranked teams. Number 10 will be Texas Tech, who will be in the big twelve championship game, but they will lose to BYU. But aside from that, they're gonna run the table because there's nobody in the big 12 fucking with them. Sorsby's out. Yes. We get it. But their quarterback that they have back, he's not a slouch either. So I just feel like BYU is going to put in work and win the championship game. BYU is gonna beat them. So Tech is gonna get in because they are a one loss big twelve team, and their only loss is gonna come to them in the big twelve championship. Boom. As long as they don't let the Sorosby distractions fuck with them, which they've been handling it pretty well. Like, the AD is kinda they've been handling it really well. They've been very fucking quiet. They haven't been doing a bunch of noise. They decided, listen, we're gonna shut the fuck up for this Sorsby thing because God forbid. Number nine will be Oklahoma. I do think Oklahoma is going to have some good wins. They're going to have some gauntlet gauntlet stretch that they're going to show the committee that they they belong to be there. I do think they're gonna figure it out because that gauntlet stretch is later on in the season. And I do although I am worried about them being number nine in the top 25, I do think that they're gonna have, like, a misstep early in the season and then figure it out at the end of the season, and it's they're just gonna onslaught a bun they're gonna beat a bunch of people that they weren't expected to beat because of the because playoff committee has shown that they have short term fucking amnesia. They they forget about the first half of the season and only worry about the second half, and OU is gonna prove in the second half that they belong at least in the top 10. Just my opinion because the Matier is that good, and I do think they have some good wide receivers and things like that. And their defense didn't they lost a lot, but they didn't lose everything. So I think they'll get it figured out. Number eight, BYU. Big 12 champions and low key the fan favorite to take out one of those SEC overhyped ass teams, LSU. I'm looking at you. I just feel like they will get in because, again, they're gonna be the big 12 champions. They gotta get in. I don't think they're gonna be high ranked because they're gonna they're this is when this is when the playoff committee starts to get favoritism going on because it's the big 12 and they haven't played anybody, blah blah blah. They don't have as many ranked team wins over anybody, but they won the big twelve championship, so they end there. Number seven will be Indiana. They won't win the big ten, but they will have a good enough schedule. They will have enough wins and one loss. I think one loss either in the Big Ten championship or one loss against, Ohio State. I gotta look at their schedule again, but either Ohio State or Oregon, one of the two they gotta face before they get to the Big Ten championship. And I think that's gonna be their big l. One of the o's, Oregon, Ohio State, you choose, they're gonna lose that game, and then they're still gonna find their way into the playoffs. And before we get to number six, it's time for the beer flight of the night. First up, we have real ale brewing limestone cowboy. It is a hazy pale ale and it is a whopping five percent. She didn't say anything. Is that all that's all the description? That's the whole description? She's she's she's mute on me now. Alright. Well, It's cool. It's a hazy. I don't really smell any or taste any bitterness, not too hoppy, very smooth, very clean. Yeah. That was all the description one. That's crazy because, like, I'm starting to get good at these descriptions. Woah. Woah. Woah. Alright. I'm starting to say good. Not gonna look good. Not to look at my My own horn, but if you're Yeah. Becoming a professional. Oh, whatever. Anyway, next He's like, it's an IPA. Moving on. Next up, we have Rollerton Beer Works Ombre Lobo. I'm a let you know this. Rollerton. Rollerton. Oh, Rollerton. My bad. Rollerton Beer Works. Rollerton. It's 6%. It's a Mexican lager. Light bodied, a little hint of caramel. Pairs well with spicy food. I can see that. It's really clean, smooth. I could see like tajin on the rim, spicy. I don't even like tajin. But I could see like spicy, you know, Really? Seared shrimp type Mhmm. Alright. Rolodown. Okay. I don't really I I I don't know why I expect Mexican lager to have spice to it, but almost like 60% of Usually it's like a lime. Well, lime or or there's lime or spice to it. I usually get I I don't know why. I usually get the ones with spice into them. And I'm now like discovering a whole new realm of Mexican a whole new world of Mexican lagers with no spice or lime. And it's very it's freaking me out, man. Next up, we have Shipyard Brewing Company or beer company. Mhmm. Brew Brewing Company. This is smashed watermelon, an imperial watermelon watermelon ale. Was about to say IPA, but Yeah. It's It's a fruit beer. It's a IWA. It is 9%. Basically, just tastes like watermelon juice. See, now that the air has hit it, it doesn't smell that bad. Yeah. Like the first splash, how it smelled it, I was like, ew, it smelled like ass almost. But it smells as the air hit it. It is crushable and It slight smells very water mellow now. Smell okay. Yeah. Very crushable. Sweet, little bitter on the back end, but nothing that's out of this world uncontrollable. It doesn't taste like a sour at all, actually. It tastes very fruity. That's about it. This is pretty good. Not all sours taste sour. Only to you. And next, we have Mason Ale Works Fruit Balm, mixed berry fruit balm. Yeah. And it is 5.2%. It's a sour, it's a fruit and sour ale. So there's multiple fruit bombs. Yeah. I saw another one. There's peach apricot. So there's Yeah. I wasn't gonna do the apricot. Cherry, there's only saw the peach apricot in this one and I was like, oh, mixed berries. I was thinking Skittles. I don't know why. Blueberries, boysenberries, mulberries and strawberries. Smells like a sour. Smells like I might be disappointed. 5.2%. Listen, it's not bad. It's not super sour. It's not very fruity. I thought it was gonna be like, like I said, I I don't know why I envisioned mixed berries with Skittles almost. Mhmm. But it's very, it is sour. I give them that. It is sour. But it's not like overpowering In the back of the throat. Bitter beer face sour. It's just like, oh, it's a little tang a little tang to it. A little tang. A Mhmm. But yeah. For me, beer of the night, I'm going watermelon ale. I'm going smashed watermelon. Shout out to Shipyard, man. They were on the they were on the Beer Can Hall Of Fame wall behind me, for one of their Halloween beers. Tastes like a whole bunch of pumpkin and cinnamon. Excuse me. Shit. For one of their I think it's a stout. And it didn't taste like a stout. Was just all pumpkin and cinnamon. It was really it was good, but it like smacked me in the face good. So I bought a beer today and one of the girls at work was like, oh are you bringing it to Ziggy? Like are you gonna let him have it? And I went, no, he won't appreciate this beer. So I did not bring it. Shout out to the friends and coworkers that that love me and want me to have a new beer. A lot of people know you, you have no idea who they are. It's kinda scary. It's kinda scary. Yeah. We're going to shipyard watermelon ale. Now that was beer flight of the night. It's time to return to the playoffs. Playoffs? Number six in this playoff college football bracket will be Miami, who finally wins the ACC and their prize is the Miami, is the outside looking in because you don't get the top four, you don't get the bye week, you don't get no love, sit your ass at number six. I think it works for them. They're gonna have a chip on their shoulder a lot like Indiana all season because they're gonna get disrespected. They're gonna be, you know, oh, we don't think they're that great. There's gonna be a lot of media coverage talking crazy about them, especially if they don't beat everybody like their redheaded stepchild. I just they they're gonna get talked crazy about. They might have one loss and it's just gonna be the end of the world. They're never gonna make the playoffs blah blah blah blah blah. They're gonna be number six. Number five will be the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame. I think they have a great coach. I think it's only a matter of time before he gets tired of the facade. I think, I think that Notre Dame needs to join a conference. I've said this for years. I hate Notre Dame for not being in a conference. It's the dumbest thing. I think we have and if you're saying, oh, well, they've never been in a conference. Yeah. Well, SEC has never had this many teams in it. They should join a conference. Join the Big Ten and be like, or join the Pac twelve or join the ACC. Nobody cares. Join a conference, beat that conference, and then we can talk about you being great. Other than that, y'all are fucking phonies and they reward you for it every time. It sucks dick. Ugh. Anyway, they will cry about it though being at number five. I want that to be known. They are gonna cry because they feel like they should be number one because they're gonna run the table except for one game maybe and the other teams are lost and blah blah blah. You have the cake ish schedule of a non con you have the biggest non, I hate this. They should be in the group six part, but they're not. And they should be definitely there fighting with UNLV, Boise State to get in the fucking championship at number 12, but they're not. They're gonna be number five and it pains me. And I hate to say it, but it's true. They rewarded them for their mediocrity because of their fucking history. So what? What have you done for me lately? Not shit. Anyway, number four will be Ohio State who runs through the Big Ten gauntlet only to lose in the Big Ten championship. Now I know what you were thinking, Ziggy, what? I thought you had Ohio State winning it. I know. I changed my mind as I was running down. Oregon's gonna win the big ten championship. I changed my mind. Oregon's gonna win the big ten championship, and Ohio State I changed my mind. Ohio State, I thought about it mid show actually, and I was thinking in my head, I should probably change that. Nah. I don't. Big Ten championship's gonna go through Oregon. Oregon's gonna win, and Ohio State's gonna be there. They're just gonna be the runner-up. I think Dan Lanning figures it out this year. I think that Dan is a great coach. I don't think Ryan Day is not a great coach, but I do think that it is time for Oregon to step up and step into the greatness that we all know that they can be. They have paid everyone, literally everyone. The Nike owner, co founder has put up money beyond money beyond money to give them a championship. Number three will be Texas. One of the runner ups in the SEC championship that they're gonna cry about because they didn't get in there and things of that nature. But listen, Texas to be is out of the SEC is gonna have one of the tougher schedules. They gotta face Georgia. I think they gotta face LSU this year. They they are going to take on a good amount of teams, high ranked and things of that nature that their cake the rest of their cake schedule will not matter. And I think that is going to put them up higher than anybody else in the SEC because of some of the fact they are gonna put they're gonna put everybody on notice except for the SEC champions who they can't beat. Number two, Georgia. Georgia. Georgia. SEC champions. Don't you laugh at me. SEC champions. SEC champions. They're gonna beat everybody in the SEC except for maybe one team, and it's gonna be early in the season, so nobody's gonna remember. They might run the table. I don't know. Georgia has a chip on their shoulder for real. They saw Carson Beck go to the championship after disregarding him. I think their quarterback that was really young last year and still played good is gonna get it kind of in a figured out moment, moment this season. And I think that Georgia will not necessarily dominate, but I think he's going to Kirby is gonna figure it out. Like, they're gonna they're gonna get on the same page. Georgia has some fucking animals, and literally all of the defensive players go to the NFL. They use that to recruit, and they replenish just like Alabama used to. Just like Alabama used to, which nobody believes in Alabama this year, by the way. And number one, like I said, Oregon, the big 10 championship winners. Dan Lennon figures it out. He gets him in the number one spot, makes a little run-in the playoffs. Championship, I'm not sure, but that's for another show. You gotta wait. And that was or is the College Kegger first one before the season. And now it's time for the Conversations at the Keg. Brie, how you doing? You've been quiet this whole time. I appreciate you. Anytime. I'll let you, let you go, man. Live your dreams. You know what's crazy is that people really be trying to talk to me like I don't know sports. And it kinda pisses me off sometimes. No. I'm sorry. It's fine. Listen. You get the beer flowing. You get, you know, you kinda forget some stats. You miss fucking type out your shit. You picked Ohio State to win the Big Ten, but you meant Oregon. Hey. Listen. They're both gonna be in the Big Ten championship. But but I know my I know ball. I don't know why people think I know ball. Ball. I know ball. Shit. Anyway, how has your week been? You were off almost two weeks now. I wasn't off last week. We were here last week. Oh, we did Hangover Clinic. Yeah. Saw all the beer talking. Anyway. I'm about to say. Busy. How's the new place? Love it. So much. You get to walk around naked, get to wanna do what you wanna do. I have really big windows. You don't have curtains yet? Well, I have like That'll be my housewarming gift. Okay. I I like don't like having lights on in my house. Like I like Yeah. You gotta pay electricity. This is Well, yes. But I I like I like the sun coming in. Yeah. I have a lot of plants. Here comes the sun. Okay. The only downside is that my up like, the person that lives above me has, a rower machine in their up like, living room or something. Because sometimes in the middle of the day, like, I sit on my couch to edit and to work sometimes. Mhmm. Yeah. All of sudden I just hear Oh, you've got thin you've got you've got thin walls Yeah. And floors. Oh, that sucks. But listen, as a man who has elevated floor elevated roof Mhmm. And I have a neighbor above me, they should have made our floors cement because mine under me is cement. I'm on the essentially, I it's really weird how they set that up. Side side tracked. I live in a place where we're on like a hill Mhmm. So 1st Floor is actually below me Mhmm. But I'm on the 1st Floor of the street I'm on. Yeah, because they're technically in the basement. Right. Yeah. But they're considered the 1st Floor because the office and everything is there, and then they have they have people that live on the 1st Floor Basement But or I live technically on the 1st Floor slash the 2nd Floor. Mhmm. My people upstairs have a big ass dog. Mhmm. And I hear them play whenever they start playing. You get and like, I did not know what the fuck at first I was like, what the fuck are they doing? Yeah. And it's one of those things where you you it goes for a while, so you kinda just wanna boom, boom, boom. Yeah. My roof is so tall, I can't just boom boom. I gotta climb on shit to fucking boom boom boom. And I'm like, damn it, man. Being short sucks sometimes. Yeah. I mean, my mom and I were having a conversation in my living room because I was making lunch, and we just are listening to this person. I don't know, I think it's a rower, I truly don't know what Yeah, it's probably a rower. But I'm Or a bike, or like one of those indoor Yeah, I'm really trying to have a conversation, we just keep getting interrupted and I'm just staring at her like, I want a broom to bang on my ceiling right now. Should that be your housewarming gift, a broom? I do need to sweep. That's funny. I do think it's the same person. So this guy, he parks, he has this really ugly, no offense to whoever this man is, burnt orange truck. Oh. And he always parks it outside my Probably a fucking UT fan, fuck him. He always parks it right outside my window. And it's loud. He revs it in the morning at the fucking 5AM every time and I wake up. And I because, like, I sleep with an eye mask on because I like So I I get migraines and it's awaited. Ah. So it helps if I have a migraine at night. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. And all the sudden I just hear and I flip, I like almost fall out of my bed because I'm like damn. You know what's crazy though? You're gonna get so accustomed to that noise Yeah. That you're gonna like essentially sleep through it. I I was that way, so I live again, I live on a main street. Yeah. Sirens all the time. And I'm I'm listen, I moved to the city of Dallas, like in the the heart of the city Yeah. For that reason because I don't like I don't like the country I don't understand the noises. Yeah. Right? So now that I, and I hear people like, it was so funny, New Year's and fourth of July, literally fireworks everywhere next to me. Like literally and heard people pulling over, New Year's Eve was bad, had people literally pulling over on my block next to my patio, cars on top of the sidewalk watching the fireworks. And I'm like, I'm like, I'm watching TV. I'm just chilling like Yeah. I happen to look outside. I'm like, bruh. The fuck? Why y'all doing here? What's y'all yeah. Like, I came outside. Was like, hey, man. I thought I was gonna Mhmm. Yeah with the yeah. And no, they were just out trying to enjoy fireworks. Just enjoying life. Yeah. You're sitting in the I'm sitting at my apartment with my gun, like, wait, what happened? What are we doing? What are we doing? Is it Y2K all over again? Just need to be told. No, low key, it's funny because I just, I looked outside and I was like, oh shit. And there was literally fireworks like, because I'm like walking distance from downtown. So like right over the, right before the bridge and right on the bridge, were letting off fireworks and doing all that shit. They did it again in fourth of July. And it's like, bro, you never they don't tell you that. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So like but now? Shit. Fire truck go by. Yep. Out of there. So The only Give it a few months. So I'm I'm fine with the revving now. Like, it wakes me up and I just go, and I roll back and go to sleep. But last two nights ago? Yeah. Two nights ago, this person with, like, a fucking camper van reverses into the parking spot of this guy, and it's like, beep beep beep beep for, I kid you not, five minutes. It's two in the fucking morning. I just wake up to that noise, and I just stare at them outside my window. I'm like, what the hell are you you're parked. You're fine. Why are we okay. We're pulling back out and then reverse racing again. Okay. It's like, you just hate me. So needless to say, don't ever get a spot next to the parking spots. But the thing is is that in my old apartment Mhmm. I wasn't near I had a parking garage, so God bless. But I was my apartment was next to the pool And I hated that. So I told them, was like, anywhere but the pool. Like Yep. I don't honestly, I feel college, so it's a little different now. Yeah. But I also think, like, I don't know which floor you're on. Mhmm. I also think, like, that's why it's almost good to be higher. Mhmm. Like, next place next place I get this is not what we were supposed be talking about. But next place I get, I think I'm gonna get a, like, a penthouse. Yeah. Like a loft, like up up top with a Tall. Tall. Right. Because one, they always have security. Mhmm. They always have somebody out at the bottom. Two, I'm away from most noises. Yeah. My problem with that though is I'm kinda scared of heights. So I have to figure out like a happy medium. Because there's a place in Dallas that I really wanted to move into because it's like upper echelon. But it's like, they're expensive one. And two, the only places they had available were above 10 floors. Oh. And you can feel. As a person that like, you get and they tell you that you get used to it. He told me like on the tour, you're gonna get used to the wind, that but first week or so, you're gonna feel the wind. Mhmm. And we live in Tornado Alley. No. Thank you. You know what I'm saying? Okay. Like like, I'm thinking about that. I'm like, 10 floors I can run up and down. No problem. 20, I have a little problem. Like, 30? My God, man. I'm not sure if say the second tower. Yeah. Hey, man. Great joke. Hey, man. But I just I don't know. So I've always Sorry. Such a that was such a good joke. Bad, but such a good joke. Got my free And I'm from fucking New York. That's so bad. This girl, and she's like, I'm teaching my kids about about history. And she built Legos, and she goes, pew. And Oh my then goes, wait, there's more. No. That's so terrible. Aunt Myra. It's terrible. Aunt Myra, I love you. We're not making fun of that situation. No, we're not. I never would. That was such a good joke. Anyway To make it better, there's a musical about Helen Keller. Okay. Alright. Jesus Christ. Where are we what kind of show do we turn into? I don't know. But it's a it's it's a, like, quite literally I have to get this off my chest now. Quite literally, the whole musical is like, Helen, Helen, talk to us. And like, Helen Keller can't talk or see or hear. Helen Keller is not a real person in my mind. So the musical is just her staring out at the people going. Wait, tell them she can't see nor hear nor talk? Yeah, no. Like she could talk kind of, but like she can't hear or see. I didn't know that was the story of Helen Keller. Yeah, Helen Keller can't see her What? Hear, yeah. And apparently she flew a plane? Fucking bullshit, no she didn't. I don't believe that. She was also in a wheelchair, this makes no sense to me. How? What the fuck? Nah, yeah, this person didn't exist. Yeah, I'm on I'm on your side on that one. What? But the yeah, I'll I'll send you the video of the musical. Nah, don't send me that shit. I am. I'm not trying to go to hell with you. I'm not trying to burn into hell with you. A regular at my job. His name's Roy. Shout out to Roy. I love him so much. He's this big black lawyer man. I sit and talk to him about literally everything. Like, I love him. I love his wife. Like, they are fantastic people. And we were talking about Helen Keller. I him, yeah, there's a musical. And so I sent it to him. And he sometimes just comes up to me when I'm about to leave work and he just goes and pretends he's yelling. So he pretends he's yelling, Kelly. That's fucking terrible. It's that's all fucking terrible. This was not scripted at all. I was we were supposed to talk about the NBA schedule and Travis Kelce or a k a Travis Tate Swiftie. Helen Keller. My god. That's terrible. I'm gonna send you the Helen Keller. Don't send this shit to me. NBA schedule was released. Not as important as we all thought it would be. Although there are gonna be some good games. Christmas day is gonna be cool. Season opener, Knicks versus Sixers is gonna be cool. Sixers versus Lakers is gonna be cool. Dad against son, blah blah blah blah. Lot of cool games. Me personally, I'm waiting for the season money the tickets to drop. Mavericks, shout out to y'all. October, I don't know why we're waiting till October for the fucking tickets to drop, but whatever. So I plan on buying a couple tickets couple of games for me and my son to go to this year because we got robbed out of out of World Cup, so I wanna make it up. And I'm taking them with me to some football games. So all of y'all out there that listen, any ideas of places that would be dope for him to travel and good stadiums to see that are wheelchair accessible, holler at me please because I'm having a real I'm having a real tough time because obviously, Cowboy Stadium, great stadium. I know where I can go. I just don't wanna see the Cowboys play. Sorry. I'm not a Cowboys fan. Green Bay. I said, ouch. I'm just saying Cowboys, I mean, Bay, great stadium for me because I'm a die hard Green Bay fan, horrible stadium for my son. There's no seats, wheelchair accessible is like way up in the nosebleeds type shit or it's in the suites or whatever. And I'm like, I don't know if I wanna pay for a suite, you know what I'm saying? Because I wanna be down where the fucking Lambo Leap is. So I gotta figure that out. I heard Minnesota's nice because it's a dome and they have like the whole thing. I heard Tampa Bay is nice. We both we played both of them this season, so I'm kinda like tempted to bring him to Tampa. Tampa might be the move. But any suggestions? I like the stadium. Yeah. Everybody's everybody says it's a really good stadium and and they play them in October, so it's like early October, so it's like right before hurricane season. So it's like, it's gonna be good. So I don't know, I'm thinking that's probably the game that I wanna go. But if y'all can think of any football games, college included, that I should take my son that have really good stadiums that are wheelchair accessible, please let me know because I would love I would love to take him to one of the to a football game. We're gonna be at plenty of basketball games, so don't worry about that. Football. Football only because it's time for him to go to football. When the next World Cup gets announced, we're going. Shh. He'll be 18, we're going. I'll be able to get him drunk too. Listen, every man You can't drink and drive. No, but we're gonna Fuck. We're gonna be at the World Cup. I meant him. No. He I'm not planning on him driving. No way. I just He's in a wheelchair. See, I was trying to make a wheelchair joke. First off, you fucked up for that. Second of all, second of all, that's crazy. Lastly, I'm not saying get hip drunk. The amount of people that come in with wheelchairs and I'm, oh, I'm sorry. I can't let you drink and drive. You say this joke often? Yeah, I do. My god. Find it funny. That is funny. What's up with your boy Travis Swiftie though? He looking like a He's having a great time. He looking like a happy husband. Yeah. He looking real well fed. Mhmm. Real lazy. I mean, she's a baker, so. I seen a video of him, like, running a route and it looked like it was slow motion, but that was the actual speed. You know what? I don't know. I think he needed to retire last year. Like, you're getting married, dude. I think it should be done. And even the fact that he's getting married, he's getting married to, like, there's what The pop star. The pop star. And then it's like, what more do you I mean, yes, you wanna fight for another championship, but, bruh, last year was a battle. Yeah. Last year was tough for you. No. See, no wind to hold them. No wind to fold them. Like, he should've definitely yeah. All that slapping the he should've stopped. Mhmm. But whatever. And now, I do wanna say, I wanna end this episode on a on a sad note. The actress Hayden fuck. I hope I don't mess this up. Penettery? Penettery? I don't know how to say it. I'm sorry. Some of you may remember her. Some of you may not, Brie. From the from the movie Remember the Titans. I was like, I know her, just not from She was the oh, yeah. She's been in other movies, obviously. I mean, I'm not Mhmm. Her greatest sports movie was that. I beg to differ. Oh my god. What was the other movie? Ice Princess? She was a figure skater in that movie. That's a sport and it was a great movie. Never seen it. Oh, it was a it was like a teen pop girl thing. Of course. But like, now both of them have passed. Like, the main girl and her have both passed away young. She was 36 years old. I thought she was 39. I thought somebody said 36. I'll look it up. It's a lot of people who've been saying 36. I've seen it everywhere at 36. So that's the only reason why I said that because I was, like, shocked because I'm like The other one passed away at 39. That's what I was Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. So Hayden, one of the greatest sports movies of all time. So and she played a very pivotal role in that movie. She was amazing in that movie, and I am sad to see such a young soul. Obviously, she had other movies, and obviously, she had other roles that were really great that impacted other people. You know? And this is a sports show. I get it. But remember the titans, we have this discussion all the time. It's probably one of the greatest sports movies of all time. I will die on that hill, not literally, figuratively. But, I just wanted to give a rest in peace to her as well as a rest in peace to Don Nelson who recently passed this past this week, this last week. And, you know, for those of you who know Don Nelson, he was an evil genius. He didn't he bring Dirk here? He brought Dirk to Dallas. So those of you who are Mavericks fans, semi Maverick fans like myself, Dirk fans, you understand the the the greatness that Don Nelson saw and the eye for talent that he had, individual that he was and stuff like that. So I just wanted to end the show on a more, you know, respectful moment of silence note. And, yeah. So this is beer thirty sports o'clock. Rest in peace, Hayden. Rest in peace, Don. Oh, excuse me. Sorry. This is a Stolen Water Media production.
