Speaker 1: Gotta unmute myself there. It is 08:00 on the East Coast. It is 05:00 on the West Coast. It is the April 16 in the year of our lord 2026, season 16, episode 41, 762 times. You have been welcomed to the clubhouse podcast, your one stop shop for all things sports, entertainment, pop culture, and pro wrestling. Welcome. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the clubhouse podcast, and I apologize for being muted there for a second. I was having a technical difficulty, but it looks like we are under control now. Alex out on assignment this this week. So that way for me is the official fact checker of Sooner Gator Productions and a man who's already been sick this week, but he's feeling better. You may know him as Ike Bunu, but his mom, I named him Don Ford. I'm a call him Don Ford. Hey, man.
Speaker 2: He let you go solo.
Speaker 1: You didn't know, though.
Speaker 2: But here's the thing. My fans, you know, they're already aware that next week, my parents are in town, have tickets.
Speaker 1: Don, I have to stop you there because I don't wanna burst your bubble. Yeah. But ain't none of us gonna be on next Thursday night because we're not doing the show till Friday.
Speaker 2: Okay. Never mind. Just Well, we're gonna announce to the friends that, you know, hey. The normal Thursday night, it'll be another day, but I'll I'll be there. I'll be We
Speaker 1: will be we will be live at the USA Film Festival next Friday, which means there will be no show next Thursday because of that. So just be be by the channel. We've got some very special guests lined up. Yep. And other special guests that are announced to be at the USA Film Festival. Brandon Ruth will be there promoting his latest film as well as Katie Cassidy, who you might remember from Arrow.
Speaker 2: Okay. She's gonna
Speaker 1: be promoting a new film as well. Lot going on next weekend. Diff starts next weekend. USA Film Festival's next weekend. Dallas Comic Show's next weekend. There's a lot going on. Stay by the channel because we're gonna be all over the place. Let us get right into the sports section of this thing. NBA playoffs have happened. Don, I gotta be honest with you here for a minute.
Speaker 2: Go for it.
Speaker 1: My heat bias is kinda kicking in full force. I don't know if you saw the other night, but Bam Adebayo, who had a 63 game earlier this year, was tripped up by by mister Ball from Charlotte. K. And in doing so, wrecked Bam's ankle.
Speaker 2: Oh, no.
Speaker 1: Took him out of the game. They he was assessed a flagrant too and fine today, but no suspension, but that doesn't help us in retrospective. Uh-huh. It was the Heat lost by one. And when you lose by one and you don't have the guy that knows how to put up 40 a game, that put us out of the playoffs.
Speaker 2: Ouch.
Speaker 1: I've seen the play. I don't care what ball says. It was on purpose. And I'm trying to put my Miami bias to the side, but he was looking at the man, and it ain't the first time he's done it this year. Two. No. So I don't know what the league is thinking here. He needs to come out and admit that he did it on purpose. He's saying that he didn't, but it's blatant. There's no way to do it. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2: Exactly. So You know, and, yes, you could say, well, you know, yeah, it's a team sport and all that. And one you know? But, yes, one player can make a difference, but then, you know, the team needs to you know, in football, if one player goes out, doesn't mean then, you know, and then this play just happened to
Speaker 1: With football, there's 10 other guys on the field.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: In basketball, there's four, and in hockey, your line changes anyway.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: It's definitely that late in the game.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: Let's get into n h tonight is the final night of the NHL, but it is the last time we will do America's favorite game show this year.
Speaker 2: My guess, you already know it. You you already know it.
Speaker 1: Oh, I have Alex's too.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: We just think that
Speaker 2: actually, for this season because we'll be doing it at the end of this year when the new season comes along.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, we we're we're gonna take a couple more weeks off, then we're gonna start with baseball.
Speaker 2: Oh, boy.
Speaker 1: So in the Atlantic the
Speaker 2: Colorado Rockies are gonna be, you know, holding on to the title all season like they did last year.
Speaker 1: We'll see. In the Atlantic Division, Toronto is out. They are three 31 points out of first place. They are six back on my panthers who are done even though they're on a three game win streak, and Toronto's lost seven in a row. But the but the Florida is still eight behind Detroit. Detroit's seven back on Oder. Well, Oder was now a point back on Boston. The top four in the Atlantic Division have all broken the century mark. By winning two in a row, Boston's now at a 100, but they are six points back on the Montreal Canadiens. Fair enough. Montreal and Tampa Bay are tied, but they're both three points back on the Sabres. Sabres may be the team to to keep an eye on in these playoffs. They're they're coming on late. I don't even wanna mess with it.
Speaker 2: Do I see them winning the real quick. Do I see them winning the cup? No. But I could see them advancing at least through the first round.
Speaker 1: No. Let's see. Don, where are going?
Speaker 2: Now we're going to the Metropolitan Division.
Speaker 1: You better believe we are. The rangers, they are thirty thirty six points out of first place. They're 10 behind the devils. The devils now four back on the islanders. Islanders are a point back on Columbus who is keeping their coach after he went on a rant against the team, but the team was like, we get it. We like him. He said they kinda gave up. You know? And these guys have really committed, but they he would they were twenty two eleven and one or something crazy under his his tutelage, and he has been upped for another, another term. Columbus, now three back on Washington. Has Obi played his last game? He says he doesn't think he has. It's crazy to think about this is the guy I remember when he was drafted, and now we're talking retirement for Aleve Alexander Ovechkin. He's like I said, he said he's he doesn't believe he's he's gonna retire, but, you know, the older you get, the longer it takes your body to recover from things. And I think we're and we'll know probably before the first day of summer, the situation with one Ale Alexander Ovechkin. His Washington capitals are three points back on Philly. Philly and Pittsburgh are tied on for second place in the division. You you guys have lost three in a row. Philly's won three in a row,
Speaker 2: but you're
Speaker 1: both still 15 points back on Carolina.
Speaker 2: But we'll make the playoffs. Yeah.
Speaker 1: You will. You will. You know? Well, we're gonna look at that picture here in just a minute. In the Pacific Division, the Vancouver canucks put a pin in it. They are 17 points back on cavalry. Flames are four back on on cracking. Cracking. Seattle is five back on Sam. Whoo. They are six back on the Kings. The Kings and Anaheim are tied, but they are both one point back on Edmonton. Edmonton now four back on Vegas. So depending on what happens tonight in the final game of the season, Vegas is already done. Everybody else in the division has one more game to play. And in the central division, We've got two teams that are three teams that are finished. Chicago finishes 37 47 points out of first place. Then they are 10 back on Winnipeg. The Jets who have won three in a row are a point back on Saint Louis who have who who actually, they're on the three game heater. Winnipeg's lost three in a row. They the blues are two back on Nashville. Predators are six back on Mammoth. Utah is now eight back on Minnesota at a 104 points for the for the wild. They're eight back on Dallas. Dallas now a point back on Colorado, but Dallas doesn't have any more games to play. So Colorado, does does clinch. But this is also what are we doing here? No. I don't wanna do that. Leave me alone. This is also, the third 50 win season in a row for the Dallas Stars. That is a franchise record. Let us go now to what the playoffs will look like at this point in the Eastern Conference. I mean, this is pretty much gonna be set because, Washington is three back on Philly, but they both closed out their seasons. So so Washington's not gonna get in. Your Pittsburgh Penguins right now, Don, are in the seventh seat. If the playoffs started right now, you would have Buffalo in the first round.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: So it would be Carolina, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Oderwa, Tampa Bay, Montreal, Boston would be your first round matchups Okay. In the Western Conference. Let's see. Both Los Angeles, Nashville, Anaheim all have one game to play, but Nashville cannot catch them if they win because that'll still put them two points out. So this is pretty much set. It's just gonna be the seedings at this point. Right now, as it stands, Colorado would play the Kings, Ducks would play Dallas, Minnesota would play Edmonton, and Vegas would play Mammoth. So I don't see a lot of movement here, but, tonight's the final night of the season. So after tonight, we will have everything locked in. In Major League Baseball. Let's get to it, Don. In the AL East, the Toronto Blue Jays What?
Speaker 2: Aren't we doing North America?
Speaker 1: Oh, we are doing North America's favorite game show, and I remember that. I guess I have to go back there because I have to give you the rest of the stats. I apologize, Don. Good call.
Speaker 2: Thank you. I so
Speaker 1: I was so excited to get to baseball. I was totally remembering remembering hacking. Come on. Do the thing. There we go. What is the goal differential for the Vancouver Canucks?
Speaker 2: Already said it last week. Negative 100.
Speaker 1: Negative 100. Alex Alex is playing the $1 price is right rule.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: So here we go. Vancouver has one game left.
Speaker 2: Yep.
Speaker 1: Up to now, they are 25, 48, and eight.
Speaker 2: Still a chance.
Speaker 1: That's 58 points, Don. They are nine thirty two and five at home. They're sixteen twenty four and three on the road. They've won their last three, but I don't think anybody cared when they played them. They're also four and six and o in their last 10. In the last week
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: Vancouver has broken even. They remain at minus 95.
Speaker 2: How dare they?
Speaker 1: So unless they lose by five tonight, they will avoid the century mark.
Speaker 2: I'm still sticking with a 100 for even tonight at the end of
Speaker 1: the day. I'm still not later on. Let's get into let's get into baseball. In the AL East, Boston and Toronto were both tied at seven and eleven. That's four games back in the division. By the way, Toronto's already got a run differential of minus 25 after after 18 games. They are both two games back on Baltimore. Baltimore is a half game back on the Yankees. Tampa Bay has a one and a half game lead in that division who have won six in a row, by the way, or eight and two in their last 10. Tampa Bay's had a breakeven in their run differential. In the central division, Swiss, they're at minus 40 right now, Don. Swiss? Yeah. The Chicago White Sox.
Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Swiss. Okay. Alright.
Speaker 1: We're six and thirteen right now, Don. They're five games out in the April. But you can get that pope hat.
Speaker 2: Yes. You can. I was gonna say, hey. So You know?
Speaker 1: Get get your get your white sox branded MITRE. Let's see. They're a game back on the royals. The royals now three back on Detroit. Detroit is tied with Cleveland. They're both a game behind Minnesota. By the way, Minnesota's won eight and two in their last 10, but Detroit's on a six game heater. In the wet in the AL West, Seattle, they're eight and eleven right now. They're tied with Houston at two games back in the division. They're both a game and a half back on La Los Los Angeles of Anaheim, Los Angeles County, California, America, North America, Earth, Milky Way, Multiverse Universe. Excuse me. But they're five games back on both athletics and the rangers are tied for first in the division, and that is I mean, there's only a game, separating them in their last 10. In the National League, the other side of the coin, the good side. In the NL West, the Colorado Rockies are they're eight games back, Don. They're six and twelve. They are a half game back of San Francisco. San Francisco now four back on Arizona. Arizona now a game and a half back of San Diego. By the way, San Diego's on a seven game heater right now, Don. They're nine and one in their last 10. And the Dodgers hold a two game lead in that division because they've just swept the the Mets, and we'll talk about that here in a minute.
Speaker 2: Hold on. The the Rockies are are at, what, 3333% win percentage right now?
Speaker 1: Yep. But they're they're but they're they've lost six in a row, but their run differential is only a minus nine.
Speaker 2: What? Yeah. Maybe the other team, who's the one that's already 20 down or whatever from the they're probably White
Speaker 1: Sox. Remember the White Sox were it two years ago. So
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: In the central division, the Cubs are are at 500 and are a game and a half back in the division. They are a game back of Saint Louis. Saint Louis and Milwaukee are tied. They're both a half game behind Pittsburgh and Cincinnati tied to lead the division by a half game, Don.
Speaker 2: Well, I'll bring them good luck.
Speaker 1: And in the only division that matters, the NLEs, the Mets have now lost eight in a row and three in a row. They were swept by the Dodgers. Shohei pitches, things are gonna get ugly. But they are currently a game and a half back of the Phillies. The Phillies have lost two in a row, and the Phillies are a half game back on Washington. Washington and Miami are tied, but they're both three games back on my beloved breaks. So we got us got that going for us, which is nice. Let's get into some TV talk. We have a, in memoriam in TV talk, and this, person is tied to this show tangentially. This past week, we lost the great Sid Croft. If you know the name Sid and Marty Croft, they were our responsible for a chunk of my early years in the seventies with shows like HR Puffin' Stuff, one Wonder Girl and some of this Wonder and Dyna Girl, Electrowoman and Dyna Girl. I actually got to interview Sid a couple of years ago at Retro Expo, and it was one of those moments for me that I will never forget. He was very cordial, very nice. He actually before they got started, he had a puppet show at Six Flags in the seventies.
Speaker 2: Six Flags?
Speaker 1: Our Six Flags. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Because Oh, this year? Okay. This is
Speaker 1: the ours is the original. Oh, good. Mhmm. Because of the Six Flags that have been the six countries that have claimed Texas. That's where the six comes from.
Speaker 2: I I thought San Antonio was, like, the original Six Flags.
Speaker 1: Nope. Arlington was. Because that's why it's called Six Flags over Texas.
Speaker 2: Well, so San Antonio could've
Speaker 1: Right. But they but that's called that was that one's called Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Okay. Okay.
Speaker 1: Oh, and and unbeknownst to him until it happened, like, three of the guys that worked for him back then came to the show to see him, which was a gorgeous moment. A wonderful man. He will be sorely missed. Go watch some Sid and Marty Kroff stuff if you haven't. It's it's just pure joy. Some of it's a little weird, but it was the seventies. What are gonna do?
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: Let's get the stuff we watched this week. Don, do watch any new TV this week? I've got something that doesn't happen till tomorrow, so I have to wait till next week to talk about it.
Speaker 2: Yeah. The the we're waiting we we're probably gonna do the final one to pick tomorrow night, But the new one on AMC, Audacity, is the show that we Audacity. Audacity. I'm sorry. Basically, a guy who it's brings in this psychologist because he's basically, he has a a tech company, and he put out a false rumor to make the stock go up, and now it's starting to bottom in the rear. And it's all going berserk with his investor who, basically, due to being the shrink, had inside information, you could say, allegedly, and all of a sudden, she finds out the thing's a hoax, and she's flipping out too. I'll give it some time. Interesting. Has a good kind of plot. Maybe instead of a sopranos with a mob boss, it's sopranos with a tech guy. So that was my one.
Speaker 1: Alright. Well, then let's get into some headlines. ABC, Hulu, FX, Disney plus, ESPN. Welcome to Wrexham has been renewed for three more seasons, Don. Alex broke that for us earlier this week. Very excited. Even though, man, I don't think they're gonna get promoted. I think they're out. But it's okay. They had a historic run, and I'm still gonna support the team. Now that especially now that I know that I can watch the matches on Paramount plus for the most part.
Speaker 2: Oh, they're really? Okay.
Speaker 1: Yeah. That's where most of them are happening. I've watched the last couple of matches on Paramount plus, and they're in four k, and it looks great. So interesting that we know we're getting a season two of Alien Earth, Don.
Speaker 2: Are they now?
Speaker 1: We're getting a season two, and they've added somebody to the cast.
Speaker 2: Now who's that gonna be?
Speaker 1: That would be one Peter Dinklage.
Speaker 2: No.
Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Tyrion Lannister is joining alien earth for season two.
Speaker 2: I mean, he did Dexter. Now he's doing alien. I'm game.
Speaker 1: Thought that might I thought that might spark your interest a little bit because I know you were a little disappointed in the first season. So
Speaker 2: I know. You know you know my my thought. I want the the aliens come on Earth and wreck
Speaker 1: Give it time.
Speaker 2: Give it time. I know. I know.
Speaker 1: Will Trent has been renewed for season five, and the rookie has been renewed for season nine. Isn't he not a rookie at this point? Been nine years, bro.
Speaker 2: Well, put it this way. Neil Pert, when he passed, and Getty still called him the new guy.
Speaker 1: Yeah. But there because there wasn't anybody after him. Other customers still called me. You
Speaker 2: have to point though where they still called Also, him
Speaker 1: Don, on Hulu Yeah. I saw this the other day. It was something about an extended cut of alien two or aliens.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: So you might wanna look that up. I just I saw it passing when I was scrolling through stuff, and I forgot to look at it.
Speaker 2: I I I if it is what it is, I it's a version I've seen once, and there are a couple new scenes where it actually, in the beginning of the film, shows that facility where Newt is and stuff before the aliens take over. It actually shows her brother, real life brother, in that show also for just a couple minutes. So her actual brother was in that show also, but it was cut out in the end. But, basically, her dad gets a hugger, then it's all goes to havoc or whatever. And there's a couple other scenes between. But
Speaker 1: CBS Paramount plus Showtime, they have renewed The Madison for season three. This is that other Yellowstone spin off with Michelle Pfeiffer.
Speaker 2: Okay. Because we're watching we are watching the Marshall on CBS
Speaker 1: Mhmm.
Speaker 2: Which is the son basically being a Marshall now after the Yellowstone thing. It's not too bad.
Speaker 1: Dan Stevens will be joining season two of Dexter Resurrection. He will be known as the five burrow killer. Last week, we talked about Brian Cox. He he and he is playing the New York ripper. It looks like we're just having a bunch of serial killers all on the show in season two of that show. Interesting news. Did you Don, did you know that The Price is Right does, like, four or five episodes at a time?
Speaker 2: I wouldn't doubt it because I know Will Fortune did the same thing.
Speaker 1: For the first time in December, they're gonna be doing a live episode.
Speaker 2: A live episode.
Speaker 1: Mhmm. So that ought to be fun.
Speaker 2: We're not.
Speaker 1: And we're getting another NCIS series, Don. Is it? NCIS New York. LL Cool J will be reprising his character as he returns home. We'll also have Scott Khan in it. So we'll see how that works out.
Speaker 2: And I wanna see NCIS North Dakota. Make it something interesting.
Speaker 1: That's a movie. It's called Fargo.
Speaker 2: Or you could say South Dakota or Wyoming. I don't know. I just want
Speaker 1: You want NCIS picked Hipsy. That's what you want.
Speaker 2: Because there are a lot of bases in Montana and North Dakota. Trust me on there. Me growing up with all the being so close to the Arctic Circle and stuff like that. Trust me.
Speaker 1: So They've also renewed beyond the gates for two more seasons, which is their latest soap opera. CW has said that the eighth and final season of All Americans will kick off on July 13. But a few weeks before that, like, I think three weeks before that, they're gonna do a one hour primetime special about the whole show. So if you're a fan
Speaker 2: of both And I never got into that one. I never did it.
Speaker 1: Didn't you talk about the show from that you enjoyed?
Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah. It starts off again this Sunday.
Speaker 1: But the fifth season will be the last.
Speaker 2: Okay. I did not know that.
Speaker 1: I know was good enough. So yeah. The fifth their fifth and final season. I I think this might be season four that starts because it said it was renewed for a fifth and final season.
Speaker 2: Okay. For fifth fifth and final. Okay.
Speaker 1: Yeah. You may wanna double check that. NBC Peacock Universal has renewed Law and Order SVU for season twenty eight, but they have canceled Law and Order organized crime after five seasons.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: And they have also canceled the Copenhagen test after one season. This was the show that had Sima Louie, I think he is in this, that was about a guy who was ends up working for the government because he was being experimented on, and he didn't realize it. And then when he did, they were like, hey. You should work for the government now. And he was like, okay. I mean, I'm sure it was more than that, but, you know, I like to keep things simple. That's all I'm saying. Oh, goodness mercy. Let's see here. What else have we got going on?
Speaker 2: Bring up I know you're kind of wanna keep bringing your head going really down. But I and I gotta make a beef to HBO Max or whatever the channel is called now. You know? And I love HBO. You know? It's been a staple since I've been a little child. You know?
Speaker 1: Home box office, baby.
Speaker 2: Yes. It was. K? Here's the thing. We started and I was kinda interested, and I know we're way behind on the game, but we started watching them before the ninety day, me and the Fantastic Four, and we got kinda interesting. And it kinda make the feel, oh, this is these two together like oil and water. So we finally got through the end of the first season. And we're like, oh, I'm sorry. But so we're interested because I found out in season two, even though there's eight of them, that there's a Nigerian this time, so it really sparked our interest. So we start to go to season two, and it's not on there. They have season one and season six, seven, and eight. Where's season two through five? Dude.
Speaker 1: I believe Google is a thing.
Speaker 2: I know, but don't you know, if you just
Speaker 1: Not saying. I'm just saying.
Speaker 2: I'm I know. I'll figure something out, but it's like, why didn't they have it in there? I know it's one of, like, guilty pleasure shows. You know?
Speaker 1: Not judging you outwardly, Don.
Speaker 2: Thank you.
Speaker 1: Netflix has said that season two of everyone is doing great will kick off on May 11.
Speaker 2: I didn't get into that one.
Speaker 1: And Prime Video has renewed young Sherlock for season two. I am hearing very, very good things about this show. I don't know. May have to pick that up. It's kinda I might have pick that one up. Because you know what starts what drops tonight at 2AM central, Don?
Speaker 2: What's that?
Speaker 1: American gladiators, baby. So I will have an American gladiators report next week because I will be watching this show. Let's see here. TV on DVD and Blu ray this week, season one of the assassin, season one of tank, which I believe you were very high on, Don. Did you watch that? Buffalo. And season four of Abbott elementary, available to you this week. Want to remind all of you that, SolarWater Media is making a we're making a move.

Speaker 1: I can't wait to see what they do with his induction. I think it's gonna be awesome. I hope Peter Gabriel inducts him because that would be pretty cool. Or, you know, Mike or Tony. I'm good either way. No. Respectfully. Respectfully.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Is he able to sing at all? I know there's been health in some
Speaker 1: He might be able to sing, but he can't play drums.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Iron Maiden finally going in.
Speaker 2: About time.
Speaker 1: Joy Division slash New Order because it's basically the same group of people. I'm good with that. Wu Tang Clan because Wu Tang is for the children.
Speaker 2: Exactly.
Speaker 1: Luther Vandross going in this year.
Speaker 2: I'm here
Speaker 1: for it.
Speaker 2: And I'm getting for that one. I have no problem with it.
Speaker 1: Billy Idol. Why not in before now, but long overdue, my opinion. Sade or Sarday, depending on who you are or where you're from. Love her. The sweetest taboo is one of the greatest songs ever written. I'm just saying it.
Speaker 2: Because I'm a smooth operator.
Speaker 1: No. You really aren't, Don.
Speaker 2: But I'm mood
Speaker 1: operator. You say nude? Smooth. Okay. The second time time I said you were you you said nude.
Speaker 2: No. Smooth. No. Yeah.
Speaker 1: That's a great that's a great song and a great video. Also, ordinary love has got is real. It's it's a vibe. That song is a vibe. Oasis going in.
Speaker 2: Finally.
Speaker 1: Queen Latifah, big fan. Let's go Dana Owens. She did a, like, a she did a thing called the Dana Owens album, which I have, where she does, like, all big band stuff.
Speaker 2: And she's done a lot of other stuff, TV, movies, everything. I I I have no problem with her being
Speaker 1: And Latin legend Celia Cruz Yep. Going in.
Speaker 2: But I if I had to say out of that, the top four who I think really deserved it is Idol, Collins, Maiden, and Sade.
Speaker 1: So looking forward. I think they're they're they're pushing the the inductions. I think it's late. I was thinking the fall for some reason. I don't know what's
Speaker 2: going on. Yeah. So, like, they're seeing, like, September or something.
Speaker 1: I wanna remind you that if you're dealing with pain, anxiety, and sleepless nights and you wanna be able to solve those problems naturally, we know somebody that can help you. Let's get into movie talk and stuff we watched this week. I've seen two movies this week. One, we're gonna talk about new releases, and another one we can't talk about until Mother's Day weekend. So what about you?
Speaker 2: Review thing. Basically, it was just some TV shows more than anything, but nothing new new new to talk about for me on this week at all.
Speaker 1: Trailer talk. I've seen I watched a couple of trailers today. I saw the final trailer for the Mandalorian and Kevin. I'm I'm still in. May 22. I got a circle on my calendar. So looking very much forward to that. And I saw the new Street Fighter trailer that dropped today. This movie looks like so much just mindless fun. It looks awesome.
Speaker 2: So you're game for that one.
Speaker 1: Absolutely. That and Mortal Kombat two. I'm ready for both of them. Yeah. And Mortal Kombat two is next month, I believe.
Speaker 2: Well, how do how do you what do you think about this new version versus, like, the stuff we saw, like, in the nineties and stuff, those movies?
Speaker 1: The first one the first one was I love the first one. Yeah. I own all of them. I have the I have the the the 2020 the 2019 or 2021. I have that one on four k. I just I have all the animated movies that they did, although I haven't watched them all. I loved them. I Street Fighter Street Fighter was what it was. Raul Julia makes that film. Kylie Minogue, how you doing? I believe Min Na Wen plays Chun Li in that too. And you've also got Jean Claude Van Damme in that thing. It's it wanted to be enter the dragon really, really bad. And it's not great, but it's not terrible. This new Street Fighter looks like a ton of fun. It comes out, I believe, in October. And you got Cody Rhodes playing Kyle and Roman Reigns playing
Speaker 2: doing a couple cameos here and there.
Speaker 1: And Roman Reigns playing Blanca.
Speaker 2: Oh, dear.
Speaker 1: And David Dasmalchian playing M. Bison. Like, this thing's this thing looks good. It's gonna be fun.
Speaker 2: So are are are you happy with how they kinda evolved on the Mortal Kombat, like, you've seen today versus what it was and
Speaker 1: stuff for Absolutely. I also I also have interviewed quite a few people that were part of the original, so I can't hate too much. Yeah. Some wonderful, wonderful people. Alamo making another big announcement this week. Aren't Don on a
Speaker 2: What's that?
Speaker 1: Email on this. You know we're getting Amazon Prime is doing Spider Man noir. There it's the the Nicolas Cage character from in enter from the first Spider Verse movie?
Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
Speaker 1: So they're doing what's called web of shadows. They're gonna spotlight the films behind Spider Noir at culminating in an exclusive fan event. So here's what's gonna happen. The lineup will start next, I'm sorry, on the twenty seventh, a week from from Monday, where they're gonna play 19 fifties in a lonely place. Then May 4 will be the sweet smell of success. May 11 will be the classic, the third man from 1949, and May 18 will be kiss me deadly, another great movie from 1955. Working up towards, exclusive Spider Man Spider Noir fan events on May 25, screenings of the first two episodes. And this I've seen the trailer for this. It looks fantastic. And and they're gonna do it. You can have the choice to either watch it in in black and white or color, which is kinda neat. So check out your local Alamo Drafthouse for that.
Speaker 2: Black and white and color. What one would you rather do?
Speaker 1: Well, it's called Spider Man Noir, so I'm probably gonna well, the first go through is gonna be in black and white.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Did you know I'm a big fan of of film noir to begin with?
Speaker 2: Yes.
Speaker 1: So and this just looks fantastic.
Speaker 2: And now, well, that's all I like. They always do good stuff like that.
Speaker 1: Your Game of Thrones film has a name. It will be called Aegon's Conquest. I don't know when it's coming out. Because this week was CinemaCon, so a lot of stuff happened this week from a movie standpoint. We've seen some some interesting footage from the next Spider Verse movie. I have not watched the footage yet. They showed a bunch of different stuff this week. They showed a new trailer for the new Tom Cruise movie called Digger, which looks interesting.
Speaker 2: Game of Thrones. What when does that film going to be?
Speaker 1: I don't I don't know much about it, Don.
Speaker 2: Okay. Okay. One
Speaker 1: of the things I was interested, they showed some of promo items to go along with masters of the universe. One of them is a castle grayskull popcorn bucket, and one of the turrets is where your drink goes. That's the one I want.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: That's the one I want.
Speaker 2: Because I know you're the you're the big Game of Thrones expert. I Alex
Speaker 1: Alex probably can do better than I can.
Speaker 2: Oh, really? But you know what's surprising who can know about everything almost? Fantastic paid for it. That shows she she that's one of that was her deal.
Speaker 1: So Alex said something on last week's show, and this is why I'm kinda bummed he's not here. We talked about the new Spaceballs movie coming up. Mhmm. It will be released next year on April 23. He said if it was not called Spaceballs, the search for more money, he was going to be very upset. It is not called Spaceballs, search for more money. Mel Brooks showed up on a screen at CinemaCon and said, we're not well, he goes, why are we not calling it that? He goes, because I found the more money. And there's just this bag that just says Spaceballs more money. He goes he said, it was in my basement, so we can't call it that. So everybody said, when are you gonna do the next one? When's space when's the new one coming out? So it's now called Spaceballs the new one. I love Mel Brooks.
Speaker 2: Still at that age, and he's I'm telling you,
Speaker 1: the documentary's great. Documentary's great. Go watch it.
Speaker 2: Well, I I I, yeah, I did watch it because you recommended it, and I did enjoy it.
Speaker 1: Your Call of Duty film has been set for 06/30/2028, but we don't have any details yet. Also, Martha Stewart's getting a biopic.
Speaker 2: Really?
Speaker 1: And Kate Blanchett is going to play her.
Speaker 2: So who's gonna play the warden?
Speaker 1: I don't know. That's all I know. Bob, Kate Blanchett could do just about anything. So and Top Gun three is happening. Tom Cruise is involved.
Speaker 2: So I wonder, is Miles and all that gonna be probably in there too?
Speaker 1: They haven't said yet. They haven't said what the tie what the title's gonna be, who's gonna be involved, any of this.
Speaker 2: What the plot's gonna be? Who knows?
Speaker 1: Got I've got a big bag of nothing. Oh, that's not what I wanted. I've got to learn how to read.
Speaker 2: There'll be But
Speaker 1: we do
Speaker 2: know one thing. Friend of the show Marcus will be going nuts on that one. He loves the Top Gun.
Speaker 1: I I enjoyed both of those films. Yeah. Unabashedly, I enjoyed both of those films. Movie new releases in places you get movie new releases this week, a movie called Busboys. This has David Spade, Theo Vaughn. Let's see. Anybody else I recognize in this thing? Not really. Your storyline is a pair of idiot friends believe that if they become waiters, all of their problems will be solved. They aren't entirely wrong, but they aren't entirely right.
Speaker 2: If they become waiters? How would Be No Kidder
Speaker 1: busboys that wanna be promoted to be waiters, hence
Speaker 2: the Okay. True.
Speaker 1: Also, this week, Lee Cronin's The Mummy, this is not getting good reviews from what I've read, Don. It's It's two hours and fifteen minutes long, and apparently, it's incredibly slow, and it takes almost half that time just getting its feet under it.
Speaker 2: Oh, no.
Speaker 1: So, also, Lorne, this is the documentary about Lorne Michaels that I am very interested in seeing. So I'll be looking forward to that. You also have the the movie this week that I have review for at stolenwatermedia.com.
Speaker 2: That's our website.
Speaker 1: Normal. Bob Odenkirk can do no wrong in my eyes.
Speaker 2: Better call Saul. Love the guy.
Speaker 1: This movie has a lot of parallels with nor with nobody two because it's the same writer. Also, the guy that wrote all the John Wick films. Excuse me. Still got this bug I'm trying to get rid of. But he plays up a temporary sheriff. So he goes to this town, Normal, Minnesota, where he's gonna be sheriff for two months because their sheriff has died, and they have to elect a new one. And so while he's there, he stumbles on a secret that everything goes haywire. I very much enjoyed this film. Very, very much enjoyed this film. It is I've seen it listed today as a neo western, and I'll take that. Henry Winkler plays the mayor. Lena Headey plays the local bartender. The guy who played one of Shorsey's brothers is the deputy mayor. I I'm telling you, it's a tight ninety minutes. Don, you're in, you're out. There's do what?
Speaker 2: Because I does it just burn through? Because it's you I saw it's only ninety minutes. I mean, damn is. It's it's it's getting in this going.
Speaker 1: Full throttle. Right off the bat. Here we go.
Speaker 2: Okay. Question. You know you know my question's gonna be? Uh-huh. Watch gauge.
Speaker 1: Forty minutes.
Speaker 2: Oh, woah. Woah.
Speaker 1: I can tell you this movie got grabs a hold of you and doesn't wanna let go.
Speaker 2: And it is fantastic.
Speaker 1: I highly recommend Normal. And it's got a little bit of gore in it, but it was the kind of gore that's borderline comedic in nature and didn't make me squirm. So I I get the point.
Speaker 2: There's been a few films like that where the the killing actually makes the storyline and stuff like that innovative.
Speaker 1: So Yeah.
Speaker 2: I I I was gonna go fell a little under, and I, you know, I'm kinda sad I didn't miss it because I was interested in seeing it.
Speaker 1: So Well, if you decide you and you and Faith need to go see a movie this weekend of a new release, that's the one I recommend.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: So I'll tell you what else coming out this week. So Movies on DVD and Blu ray this week. Twenty eight late years later, The Bone Temple gets the steelbook treatment. Christie, which I believe is now on HBO Max. This is the biopic of Christie Martin, the boxer, played by Sidney Sweeney that I very, that was very, very good. Cold
Speaker 2: We DVRed it. They haven't got to it yet, but I it's on my DVR as recorded. So I'm I'm interested.
Speaker 1: Cold Storage, this is the the one of the kids from Stranger Things is basically a I think he's like a security guard or something, and they find, like, zombies. So you got that going for you. Die My Love. Oh my gosh. I did not enjoy this film on any level. It's very, very depressing. This is Jennifer Lawrence. It's not good. It's just depressing. Forbidden City, which is an Asian film that is getting a lot of good buzz. Good luck, have fun, don't die. This is an okay movie. It's not half bad. It's just not half good. It's not one you can put on the background. You have to pay attention because there's a lot going on in this film. Primate, which came out in January, this is the the eight the that goes crazy when the people aren't on vacation. Remember this one?
Speaker 2: You know, on something like that. That sounds fun.
Speaker 1: The Shelter, which is the Jason Statham, his first of at least two films this year. Send help. No. Thank you. Strangers chapter three, and then we get limited edition steelbooks of four k for sky captain in the world of tomorrow and sleepers. Stone Cold with Brian Bosworth gets a four k release, and Arrow Video does the limited edition of the I. The Criteria Collection does a four k of point blank, and the Premieres, which is like their newer stuff of resurrection this week. And now we would really would appreciate it if you would listen to our leader. Hello. It's Mike Reiner of your dark companion here. Let me ask you. Your one stop shop for all things as it pertains to the world of professional wrestling. Let's get right into it. The NWA has announced that hard times six will be June 6, so it'll be on 06/06/2026.
Speaker 2: Yeah. 06/06/2026.
Speaker 1: At center stage in Atlanta. So get ready for that. Rebellion was a thing last Saturday night. Interesting. Not great. They the first match right out of the gate after the preshow, Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater for the x division title. Great match. K. I mean, they they hit the ground running with the first match. But if Slater still has the belt on May 15, he will beat Austin Aries' standing record of fourteen years for longest reign with the x division title.
Speaker 2: Wow.
Speaker 1: So if he still has it, he breaks that fourteen year streak. Another reason Osh Alex was here, and he knew this was coming. And he, I guess, you know, he did not give me an exact he gave me a response, but I can't say it on air. The VIP section hosted members of the cast from Love is Blind Ohio. So you know how that was gone.
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Because we know how much Alex loves Ohio.
Speaker 1: They were in they were in Cleveland. After the the six woman hardcore country match, Tommy Dreamer came out and announced unbeknownst to her, ODB is going into the hall of fame at on Bound for Glory
Speaker 2: weekend. Deserving.
Speaker 1: And I'm saying does not induct her, we riot.
Speaker 2: Oh, totally. But here's the thing. Would he have to break this, you know, the character and stuff to do it?
Speaker 1: We do it at hall of fame all the time. It's a hall of fame.
Speaker 2: You know?
Speaker 1: Let him. Bernie Cozzar came out with Nick Nemeth. He's that man's been through a lot. And they they they they had him hit AJ Francis with a chair from the back, and it was kind of rough to watch. But seeing him made me long for a simpler time even though I can't stand the University of Miami. So it was good to see Bernie because I know that You're
Speaker 2: talking the the
Speaker 1: Uh-huh. From the Browns because they were in Cleveland.
Speaker 2: Oh, I forgot.
Speaker 1: Oh, I forgot. Is from.
Speaker 2: Well, I I knew that was in the yeah. Yeah. I saw Bernie Kosar. I'm like, can think is that the quarterback? Yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah. He had some health problems, and I'm so glad we got to see him. It it kinda brought a smile to my face, but it also kinda was rough to see him too because that chair shot was, man, tough.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: But the distraction that led to the chair shot was we had the return of Casey Navarro, who allegedly is currently dating Elena Black. So put that on your scorecard. Zaya Brookside turns on Yale can't the former Zaya Lee. But yeah. So now Xia Brookside is heel. And did you see any news of someone who showed up at rebellion, Don?
Speaker 2: No. I didn't see the results.
Speaker 1: Let's just say that tonight on Impact is in trouble. Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble. Or maybe I should say that faster for you, Don. Is in trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble.
Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of it.
Speaker 1: E c
Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Three
Speaker 1: made his return to TNA. So that match will happen tonight on Impact. What about Anne Dixie?
Speaker 2: Is she gonna show up too since he's there?
Speaker 1: I don't think so. Mustafa Ali came out as a cyborg or some such and then when he won the the the international championship. It was okay. Cyborg? You have new tag champs in Brian Myers and Bear Bronson. In the main event, downstate played Eddie Edwards to the ring. It was not good. But a very interesting way of doing the story. So, Don, have you been keeping up with with Impact at all?
Speaker 2: Yeah. I've been watching the you know?
Speaker 1: But So you know this whole thing? Alicia has turned on the system.
Speaker 2: Yeah. And on her husband or whatever and saying with Moose and
Speaker 1: all that. And Moose is matched with agent zero, which Moose lost. Alicia falls and it re injures her ankle. Moose carries her to the back, tells her she needs to go get checked out, and she says, no. I need to be here for the main event. I've already told Mike Santana I wanna have a talk with him and tell him what he needs to be prepared for as he takes on Eddie. So the the main event is underway, and Moose walks out. And Moose looks at the ring and then looks at the Tron, and they play they they replay that clip, but they keep playing it after Moose walks out, and it's still on her where she calls Eddie and is like, okay. The plan's coming together. I I love you, Eddie. We're ready for the main event. Thus exposing Alicia as someone who was working both sides of the fence.
Speaker 2: It's a double agent, basically.
Speaker 1: Yep. And so that distraction had Santana keep the title. I thought it was good storytelling.
Speaker 2: Know? Because how many times have you
Speaker 1: watched the show and been like, how do you not know what happens? We are watching it at the same time. So that little breaking of the fourth wall was nice.
Speaker 2: But that you know, I was gonna say, when is she gonna turn? You know she's not with the husband. That's you know, it it's just inevitable. You you knew she was doing that. You know? Plain as far as
Speaker 1: Don, what have we said about the business that pertains to this show for years?
Speaker 2: Wrestling logic.
Speaker 1: Beyond that. About the programming itself.
Speaker 2: I don't know.
Speaker 1: Somebody's watching the show.
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It
Speaker 1: was either last week or the week before on this very show. Mhmm. I made a plea, no pun intended, for them to bring back a certain pay per view. Do you remember what that pay per view was, Don?
Speaker 2: Hell in the Cell?
Speaker 1: No. That's WWE. We're talking about t
Speaker 2: Oh, okay. No. Oh, I'm sorry. No. No. I can't remember.
Speaker 1: Similar, TNA used to do a pay per view called Locked Now where all the matches were in a cage. August 23, the Credit 1 Arena in Chicago will be TNA lockdown. Somebody's watching the show, and I think I know who it is, and I'm gonna have Alex reach out. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2: I believe it.
Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like we've been bamboozled again. Hey. We got fans all
Speaker 2: over the world.
Speaker 1: And Abyss showed up. It was weird because Joseph Park has lost so much weight. Seeing him in the Abyss costume was weird for me.
Speaker 2: So it's not the big old I yeah. I've been
Speaker 1: seeing him for while.
Speaker 2: I know he kinda lost some weight from the original Abyss side. Yeah. But
Speaker 1: So let's move into WWE talk, Don.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Did you get an email from them this week about a new program?
Speaker 2: No. I didn't.
Speaker 1: Remember, I think it was last week on the show we said they had filed a trademark for Club WWE?
Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah.
Speaker 1: We were like, what? Found out what it is this week, Don.
Speaker 2: What's that? This
Speaker 1: is a brand new program that will be an annual fee. They have not said what it is yet. But if you are a member of Club WWE, you get exclusive twenty four hour presale access to all the shows. They have a members only shop for and they said the first line they're gonna be dropping in this members only shop are items from the John Cena never seen 17 collection. A dedicated members only community, I believe we call that the IWC, a points based reward system for digital and physical items.
Speaker 2: K.
Speaker 1: A premium welcoming pack for founding members. And so to be a founding member, you go to the website and you just put your information in. They're not asking for money or anything. So I did that. Put my email address in, put my ZIP code in, and they ask who who your who your favorite superstar is. They have a pop up shop at WWE World that opened today in Vegas because as we know, it's wrestling New Year's Eve. They have not said what the cost will be yet. I wonder if they're gonna stay at at world. I've got somebody there I'm gonna work reach out to him. Because I got a feeling it ain't cheap. I got a feeling that they're doing they're gonna they're trying to do their own, like, Disney Vacation Club, and I know how much that costs.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Or you get, like, a, you know, a package of WrestleMania tickets and flight blah blah blah, and everything like that or something. I don't know.
Speaker 1: But it is wrestling New Year's Eve, Dawn. It is wrestling forty two weekend. I'm very excited. Joe Jonas is going to be opening night two with the national anthem, apparently, which I like him. I like Jonas Brothers. They're from up the road in trophy club.
Speaker 2: Yes. They are. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Good for them. If you do not have ESPN plus and you wanna at least watch hour one, you can do that. Hour one on Saturday will be live on ESPN two, and hour one on night two will be live on ESPN. Sunday night will be leading with Brock Oba.
Speaker 2: Sunday night.
Speaker 1: Yes. So get ready. That's gonna open the night too card. So get ready for that. Do you like coffee, Don?
Speaker 2: We have a Keurig, and we get a subscription. And if the fantastic you pay for does not get her morning coffee, watch out.
Speaker 1: Guess who has their own line of coffee now?
Speaker 2: Hold on. Let me think. Who'd I was gonna say maybe, you know, they always think of, like, Colombian coffee, and I was gonna say someone of Latino, El Grande Acoffee. El Grande Acoffee.
Speaker 1: El I El Grande? Now see, now you have something there, Don.
Speaker 2: See, Martin.
Speaker 1: El Grande Americano. We're putting it out there.
Speaker 2: And if it comes out
Speaker 1: El Grande Americano.
Speaker 2: If that is one of the first brands or first taste or or blends, if that's one of the first blends, we know that they are watching.
Speaker 1: I'm texting Alex that you said that. Because to Don, that was genius. Even though even I'm gonna take the assist on that. Yeah. I'm giving you the points.
Speaker 2: Oh, thank you.
Speaker 1: Hold on. I'm texting him now.
Speaker 2: This is riveting for our new viewers.
Speaker 1: This is a hall of fame moment for you, Don. Yes. You don't get these often. So when you get these, it must be recognized by the entire show.
Speaker 2: Thank you.
Speaker 1: There. Text done. I'll run it off. It's down Danhausen.
Speaker 2: Danhausen.
Speaker 1: Yes. So it's called Rootless Coffee is the is the is the company doing it, and it's gonna be called the book of curses edition. You can preorder it now, also known as coffeehousen. It comes with a mug and a sticker, and it takes three to four weeks. So go to Rootless Coffee's website if you want the Danhausen book of curses edition. SummerSlam has been announced, Don.
Speaker 2: How many nights?
Speaker 1: Two. August in Minneapolis.
Speaker 2: What you said Minneapolis. What's the date?
Speaker 1: August. Okay. SmackDown, I have figured out the only thing that would make this McAfee thing worth it.
Speaker 2: What's that?
Speaker 1: Because he's even selling this bit on his show now. I was actually getting my haircut yesterday, and he spent I mean, I was in the chair for the better part of a half an hour, or I was in the establishment for the better part of half an hour. He spent that entire time working a bit where Cody Rhodes broke into his studio, smashed the picture of him and Orton, and took the belt and left because McAfee stole the belt. The only thing that redeems this bit for me is if AJ Hawk gets interfered interferes to Pat McAfee. That's it. That's the list. Because god bless him for trying, but I think he's already given away the ending to that match with the stipulation he put on it. Remember what the stipulation is, Don? No. If Cody wins, McAfee goes away forever.
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah. However, we are hearing rumors that you have a match set for payback in Tampa in three weeks that is a tag match of Cody and Jelly Roll versus Orton and McAfee. So has he already given away the ending to this match with that stipulation, or do we schmoz it so the title doesn't move hands, but Cody doesn't this is this whole thing is a mess. You'd say that you
Speaker 2: you say that AJ or whatever no. Who's the is one of
Speaker 1: his cohost. AJ Hawk, formerly of the Green Bay Packers, is one is one of his cohost, has been forever.
Speaker 2: Okay. So you think he the guy from the show is gonna come in and
Speaker 1: That's the only thing that redeems this for me. Because the rest of the guys on that show, I I just not huge fans of.
Speaker 2: I could I I could see what but is it the right thing? I could see why they're doing it, but I'm not saying I agree with it.
Speaker 1: I just
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Then he says 25% off tickets for Saturday night only last weekend. Let me and that made me that got me to thinking, Don. And I'm gonna pose this question to you. I wanna get your thoughts on this. If WrestleMania is gonna stay two nights, which is the foreseeable future, hence, Mania.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Probably for at least the next five years. Easy.
Speaker 1: Would it would it benefit the company to split the brands, do SmackDown on Saturday and Raw on Sunday?
Speaker 2: Would that make a difference?
Speaker 1: I'm I'm asking you. Would would that be something you would be interested in if they decided to do that?
Speaker 2: No. Because I like the idea how you could have storylines from each brand on each night. Because let's just be honest. Some people are a lot of people are doing both nights. K? Especially if you're going to Vegas, you're doing both nights.
Speaker 1: Oh, fully fully.
Speaker 2: Yeah. But a lot of people are not doing both nights. There are some people who aren't doing both nights, and may they may wanna be able to see or, you know, kinda just be like, yeah. I like to see some people from both shows. But I think just a pure straight brand each night, no. I I'd see I think that would be a disadvantage in the end.
Speaker 1: I'm just I I was thinking about that a lot since they did that, and I was just like, oh, I wonder. But it's a it's a fair assessment. You know?
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: And why why are they torturing me with the downloading of the app thing? I'm starting to take this personally.
Speaker 2: Oh, I remember. I remember that's what you talked about.
Speaker 1: Our truth did it again, and I like our truth. Stop it, WWE. Like I said, I'm starting to take this personal.
Speaker 2: I I think it's starting to hit him.
Speaker 1: We had the in ring debuts of both Royce Keyes and Danhausen. Both great matches. Danhausen was great. Royce Keyes was awesome too. I don't I don't I don't feel I don't know how I feel about the proposed name for the tag team for Damian Priest and R Truth. What is it now? Up. Is what Damian Priest is wearing on his shirt. It's a it's a Spanish word for celebration.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: I prefer punishment and consequence or truth and punishment. I said it on the I like that
Speaker 2: better. I do like that.
Speaker 1: I'm not asking for you know, give me give me 1%. That's all I'm asking.
Speaker 2: Or the truthful p priest.
Speaker 1: Oh, that's that's kind of that doesn't roll off the tongue well, I don't think.
Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you know, the truthful priest.
Speaker 1: So last week, we had the tease on Raw. We didn't know what it was, and it was a music video for Liv Morgan's song trouble. Just make sure we're not setting up to release originals too. That's all I ask.
Speaker 2: It wasn't released on iTunes. Did they make a big thing about
Speaker 1: I have no idea. It was just a music video, and it's it's meh. And you know what? Did you watch Raw, Don?
Speaker 2: I got through part of it, but not all of it.
Speaker 1: Remember when the go home show meant something? Yeah. There was nothing on this show that made me any more or less care about WrestleMania.
Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
Speaker 1: Go home show of the entire year. And it was just like, hey. It's still going.
Speaker 2: Well, here here's my thing. If you thought that was bad on your point on Raw, what do you think it's gonna be like tomorrow night?
Speaker 1: I mean, it's gonna I think well, you got the Andre tomorrow night at least. But beyond that I don't know. Maybe the they've been doing live matches at WWE World. Maybe they'll show some of those because they've been having some really interesting matching matchup lineups there.
Speaker 2: But do you think there's any again, the big, oh my god moment, OMG. No.
Speaker 1: But but again
Speaker 2: where it's like, oh my, I have to see Mania now because what I just saw in SmackDown. You're have something like that.
Speaker 1: We'll see. You know? It'll be live. It'll be in Vegas. Jaycee Jane acting like Tuesday night was her last NXT show. So rumors of her getting the call up because she did not beat Lola Weiss.
Speaker 2: So let me ask you this. You say call up or do you think pink slip? Because you know what happens after mania.
Speaker 1: No. She they're not letting her go. Okay. A year ago, I might have a different answer, but she's she's made some strides in this last year. She's still not in my upper echelon, but she's come a long way. Because we let's just be honest.
Speaker 2: We know what's coming.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: It happens every year.
Speaker 1: I know.
Speaker 2: After Mania, there's the do we have that pink slips ready, you know, unfortunately?
Speaker 1: Yep. Well, it's because it's wrestling. It's the New Year of wrestling.
Speaker 2: Yep.
Speaker 1: Monday night is wrestling New Year's Day. Yep. Wendy Chu is your new Evolve women's champion, so we're we're happy for her. We like her. Congratulations. Changed a bit a little bit. Dynasty was a thing in AEW.
Speaker 2: I I saw that.
Speaker 1: Camille has returned fresh off of her American Gladiator stint. Jericho did the job.
Speaker 2: Which surprised me.
Speaker 1: That was a surprise.
Speaker 2: And Offspray. Mhmm. Both doing their job.
Speaker 1: I Bucks versus Okada Tekesta was a great match. Holy cow. That was a great match. Very much enjoyed it. I did like the part where Okada put on the young bucks, the the headband and the jacket. Pretty funny.
Speaker 2: But That was funny.
Speaker 1: But in the tag team title match, we did have a very creative way to break up a pin. When Christian threw Stokely Hathaway at the pin, Alex and I both were just like, well played. Well played.
Speaker 2: Well played. And then here here's the thing. I was saying they they when that match was over, the tag team with the Bucks and stuff, I go, they're this is the start where now because especially when he held off on the he started to grab, then he goes, nah. Go for it. You know? Do the I go, these two are gonna they're saving it for all for all in London. Those two are gonna go head to head at all in London.
Speaker 1: It might be sooner than that, Don, because the thing was if they work together, then then Takeshita got the shot at Okada at double or nothing.
Speaker 2: I know. So I've seen I think they'll save it for all in. But I I I I do like to think with Stokely, though. That was original. And then they're like Dax is just like, what are you doing? I mean, he's ready to hit Stokely. You know?
Speaker 1: Kevin Knight is your new TNT champion.
Speaker 2: Congratulations.
Speaker 1: That's a pretty decent match, that casino gauntlet.
Speaker 2: You know what, Mike? You know what I was saying? If I you you like, you had Wheeler and you had pack pack in there. Just say, rock, scissors, paper. When everybody else is out of the ring, the loser lays down, the other
Speaker 1: one gets on top. That that goes against everything that is the Death Riders.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker 1: You also had the return of Kyle O'Reilly, which was great, and the dogs held the trios championships for less than twenty four hours as the conglomerations now has those titles, and Gabe Kidd currently out indefinitely after an arm injury.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Hope he gets well soon. It was announced that Forbidden Door will be at the SAP Center in San Jose Jose. On June 28, which is fine, but that's the same day as slammiversary, Don. And this is right after TNA got heated about AEW showing on Thursday last week because of being preempted. You
Speaker 2: know what? Hey. You're gonna have stuff like this happen sometimes. But when you get it, when you said WWE intentionally say changing the Saturday night's main event go against AEW and stuff, you know, like that. Welcome to the business.
Speaker 1: Oh, week's episode of collision's on right now.
Speaker 2: I saw that.
Speaker 1: Which is smart because they don't wanna compete with mania.
Speaker 2: I don't blame them. Imagine
Speaker 1: hours of programming tonight because last week, Ring of Honor went two fifteen. And if you're gonna go two fifteen, give me angle development. The only things the promos they did meant nothing. Couple of them were kinda funny, but there was no angle development. Give me angle development if you're gonna run that long. Because that's basically raw without commercials.
Speaker 2: Let me ask you real fast. Yeah. Because I haven't been able to keep up. Is Athena still a champ? Yep. Oh, man. She's out a long time.
Speaker 1: Super card of honor coming up next month. New world champion, Don.
Speaker 2: I heard. I haven't seen any
Speaker 1: It it don't take long.
Speaker 2: I heard.
Speaker 1: Don't blink.
Speaker 2: I heard.
Speaker 1: But they also made another announcement, Don, that I wanna test your fandom. Did you see this announcement? Did you see this announcement?
Speaker 2: I didn't I didn't say this from last night. I didn't see it yet.
Speaker 1: AEW now has a an agreement with the NFL. All 32 teams, you can now have a Lucha mask with your team's colors and the logo on the side of the mask. They'll set you back $60. I'm not saying. I'm just saying.
Speaker 2: Well, it's kinda like the belts.
Speaker 1: Not not nearly as expensive. Oh, speaking of which
Speaker 2: But the thing is You see all the teams on this one versus the belts where you can't get all the teams.
Speaker 1: Did you see what Ryan Nemeth did at rebellion? Because remember, they were in Cleveland.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: And Nemeth are from Cleveland. So Ryan Nemeth comes out and cuts a promo because their family was there. He's like, yeah. Nick was always dad's favorite, but I was always mom's favorite. But we grew up right here in Cleveland, and I'm gonna say something tonight. And he rips he had tearaway pants on, and his trunks had Steelers logos on the side. And on the back in that, like like, steel spot, it said buns of steel. I am a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh, that was so funny. Just beautiful heel move. Anything else you wanna talk about, Don?
Speaker 2: Yeah. Because we always kinda do this, and I we got a little time. Number one, let's go through medium. You're saying rather not do
Speaker 1: the whole card, Don.
Speaker 2: No. I know. Just a couple. The Obe Obe match, first match. Do you I think Obe's gonna win.
Speaker 1: He has to. He has to.
Speaker 2: It's it's one of those
Speaker 1: situations that a loss for Obafemi does a lot more a lot more damage than a loss does to to Lesnar.
Speaker 2: Is it gonna be just like that one Goldberg match where it was twenty seconds. Mm-mm. You think this will go?
Speaker 1: Because Oba can carry a match. And Lesnar's at the point that I think even though he's the heel and the heel is usually the ring general, I think there's something about Oba. Brock likes him. And I think Brock will let him he will work with Obafemi, this this match because plus, it's in the it starts the show. You can't have a match that short to start night two. This is gonna and they're advertising the first two matches. So this goes at least twenty minutes.
Speaker 2: You remember that that one WrestleMania with Sheamus and Daniel Bryan, which was what? Five seconds for the title?
Speaker 1: Not the same.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: This is a lot more of a high profile match.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: And it's a hot fight, which means they're gonna need time to fix the ring. I still contend that damage will be done to the ring in this match, especially since it's going first.
Speaker 2: Alright. The four titles,
Speaker 1: let's just do that. Okay.
Speaker 2: Orton and and Cody. Who leaves with the belt in the end?
Speaker 1: Cody leaves with the belt, but I think it's a schmaz ending. I don't think it's clean.
Speaker 2: K. Actually, I think Orton takes it because Max not gonna leave if he's has the match come up with jelly roll.
Speaker 1: Right. But that means Pat has to leave if Orton wins.
Speaker 2: Oh, if Orton wins, he has to leave. I thought it was
Speaker 1: the other way. No. He said if if Randy doesn't win, I will leave forever.
Speaker 2: So that means Randy's gonna win because if he doesn't win, he leaves. But if he does win, then he'll do the match of Jilly Roll, I think.
Speaker 1: I I still don't think Randy wins. I think it's a Shimon thing.
Speaker 2: Okay. Alright. Then the other title
Speaker 1: Even if it's my disqualification and Cody keeps the title, Randy still wins. Okay.
Speaker 2: Punk and Roman, who in the belt in the end, who has the belt?
Speaker 1: Punk walks away with the champion.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: This is it's his first headlining WrestleMania. He has all the momentum right now. Roman doesn't need the belt at this point.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: And I think there's there's there's things there's more things that that Punk's gonna deal with this champion than Roman will, especially on Raw.
Speaker 2: Okay. The match with Liv, women's title, Liv. Who leaves with the belt? I'm thinking Liv.
Speaker 1: I think Liv wins, but there will definitely be some form of shenanigans. Vaquer is a very strong champion. Liv needs the belt more than Stephanie Vaquer does. And I'm a fan of both of them. I just Yeah. Yeah. Stephanie Vaquer is just she's just she's great. But I think there's gonna be a lot of shenanigans in that match.
Speaker 2: K. Then who leaves with Ria and Jade?
Speaker 1: I said I feel like I feel like Jade has to win this because this is the match that legitimizes her as champion. She's beaten. The problem is she hasn't beat now do I see an appearance of some form? Yes. However, the people that she has faced with that title on the line, there hasn't been that big marquee match that solidifies her as champion. This is that match. As much as I would like to see Rhea win, Jade has to win because otherwise, people don't see her as a legit champion.
Speaker 2: Did she have those shenanigans with the the involvement with the cane and all that and, you know, with me and all them getting involved?
Speaker 1: I definite I see Io getting involved because we still don't know if Io and Asuka's gonna happen, But Io will come to the ring and help Priya. I just don't want her to turn on her. Not yet.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Because I know, with Mia Yemen getting in with the cane, getting involved in you know, with the b fab. You know? I I if Jade wins, it's because of shenanigans. She can't win flat out. But she's always been she's been getting the heat. People know about that. That's why I think she's gonna drop, and I think it goes to Ria. That's just my opinion. So we'll see.
Speaker 1: Hold on. Hold on. I wasn't going to say this, but now I am going to say it.
Speaker 2: Okay. There
Speaker 1: are substantial rumors that state Naomi had the baby last month. If that is the case, there's your running. Because she doesn't have to do anything. She can cost Jade to match. Yeah. All she has to do is get to the ring. If this is true, because she left in August. So September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April. That's eight months ago. I'm not saying. I'm just saying. And it's allegedly a boy.
Speaker 2: Or Jade wins, and then after the match, here comes out Naomi going, I never lost this. I'm getting this back.
Speaker 1: I I think that that gets addressed on SmackDown, but I I believe she makes an appearance. You've gotta have something you've gotta have something that's gonna push this match to the stars, and that'll do it. Yeah. She's got her under a hood or something.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: But I I'm calling it. I'm calling it right now. I'm calling where is my button? Where's my shenanigans button? There it is. Naomi.
Speaker 2: Yeah. He didn't have to say anything. She could just come out. I'm thinking
Speaker 1: You need
Speaker 2: to disrupt? Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. Because she could say, I never lost it.
Speaker 1: I no. That's gonna be the pitch. That's absolutely gonna be the pitch. Yep. And everybody needs to proceed with caution.
Speaker 2: Yep. Because she would say Remember what I said when I left? Yeah. I'm coming back for this when I come back. You know? Yeah. So alright. Wanna
