This is beer thirty sports o'clock. We made it, y'all. We made it. Meaningful football is on TV again. College football week zero. NFL's one week away, and we have college football week one this week. But enough about that. This episode's beer is brought to you by Live Oak Brewing, and it is their Hefeweizen. Did I do that right? Mhmm. Alright. And it is 5.3%. Yeah. Sorry. I started drinking a little earlier. I got prematurely excited. Don't mind me. It's tasty. If you like Hefeweizen, you'll love the Hefeweizen taste of it. It's very clovey. Very clovey. Now news, you can booze to week zero, like I said, like I was talking about earlier, was amazing for the small schools. Not so much for the big dogs. North Dakota State's gonna actually be really fun to watch. TCU is gonna not be so fun to watch. Absolutely terrible. They made UNC look like a real contender, and the game was close, but it in score, but it wasn't a close game. Like, it was it seems really lopsided. UNC's defense looked like they were just dominating and showing up and stopping TCU, but TCU was stopping themselves and then turnovers and then botched punts or not even botched punts, botched hikes for the punt. It just it just looked like TCU was just so unprepared for this game. They essentially gave up a home game for this game to go on the other side of the world and look like Kaka. Purple and black Kaka. It was bad. It was so bad. And the quarterback play, old boy from Harvard, I think his name is Jacob, Jake something. I don't know. Jason something. Something with a j, bro. Get it together. I don't know if it was I don't know if he was nervous. I don't know if it was the weather. I don't know if it was the crowd. Maybe he was hungover. I don't know. But Harvard, he balled. That is the reason that he got to TCU transfer and hit the transporter money, blah blah blah. Bruh, this was not a good showing. This was mid at best and I don't yeah. I wouldn't even give you mid. I would like Drake says, skip skip skip skip. Like, Jesus Christ. Although I will say UNC's defense, like I said, they look like they had the part. UNC looks like they got a decent quarterback now. They do look like they kinda gelling a little bit. Maybe the problem was old girl and the media and everything like that, and maybe the problem was his friend that just got sent home permanently or indefinitely. Maybe Bill's just got now time to focus on football instead of all the other shit. The love bug has worn off a little bit. But they looked okay. They didn't look great. They didn't look bad. They looked okay, and they did the job. They won the game. That's all that matters. And they did it on the biggest state one of the biggest stages early in the season being overseas. That's a big deal. You know what I'm saying? Like, ESPN is is definitely gonna be doing that every year, so be prepared. NC State, on the other hand, their counterparts in that in that, college world in North Carolina, wow. Just absolute dog shit. I don't know I don't even know what to think about their performance. Like, Virginia's not that good. Like, Virginia's not that amazing for you to get pummeled the way that you got pummeled. Like, I don't I mean, did you pinch the bitch? I don't like, dog shit. I don't understand what the hell happened here. It was so so so terrible. It was just so bad. Like, it was so bad. Now another thing that was bad, big, bigger school, USC versus San Jose State. They won. Let's not let's not let's not they looked good enough. They beat them by more than two touchdowns. I think it was three touchdowns, if I'm not mistaken. They didn't cover. But they no one was talking about the play on the field. No one was talking about Lincoln Riley letting off the gas at the end and letting, San Jose State score or whatever the case may be at the end. Everyone was expecting them to kinda get blown out. The spread was like 30 some odd points. It was crazy. And, of course, in typical Lincoln Riley fashion, he gave he took his foot off the gas and said, you know, whatever. But everybody was focused on one thing, the stans. The stans, the the crowd was non existent, it was empty bleachers, It was it was crazy to see. I will say this though, it's week zero. It's Southern California. It's USC versus San Jose State. Nobody cares. Nobody cares, bro. Nobody cares. LA is too busy doing LA things, okay? Excuse me. Also, I do think that Lincoln Riley better get his stuff, his shit together because you cannot afford to take your foot off the gas when you are beating a bad team. In this world of college football playoffs, you have to show that you can dominate the little guys and keep up with the big guys. You cannot play great first two quarters and then let them come back in the third and fourth. That's not gonna you're gonna get some some Ls. And Lincoln Riley, you on the hot seat as is, so I don't I don't know why you think this is a good idea to to ease up, but whatever. I just don't I don't know. I don't think it's that much that serious to to be upset about USC fans. I get it. They're not gonna show up for the early games, especially for games to teams that they don't know even though they're in the same state. Like, they're just not. Florida State also had very little attendance from what I understand. They did not have the bleachers sold out as well. I don't blame them. I would've been there. God. Go ahead. Get your get your oh, Go ahead. I would've been there. I didn't watch the game. But you would've been there. I would've been there. Listen. It was New Mexico State. Lot of people are upset about it because it didn't look like it was by, like, 17 or 18 points that they won, and the spread was, like, 23 or 20 or no, 28 or 31 or something like that. It was something crazy. They were supposed to beat them by like three, four touchdowns, but they only ended up beating them by two. So it was like very it was like you had half the fans upset and then you had the other other half of Florida State fans upset for different reasons, and then you had other another quarter somewhere in there that are just overjoyed and overhyped thinking that, basically, that they are now in contention for college football playoffs and that they're going to win it all, all of a sudden for blowing out by two touchdowns, New Mexico State. Like, what? And the other the side that's upset, most of them were upset with the defense. The defense did look lackluster, if you will. They got the stops that they needed. I don't really understand why everybody's upset about that. But there was some transfer portal people as far as, like, defensive line that came over and got plenty of money, and they did not perform. It's week zero. I'm not well, let's not go crazy. I understand they didn't get any sacks. I understand they didn't get any tackles for losses. I understand they didn't get any pressures. Maybe four tackles between the two of them. It's not a good look, but it's week zero. New Mexico State probably planned for them, probably game planned for them. It's okay everybody. Take a chill pill. Take a chill pill. They at least won the game. And before we get off college football, because everybody's going crazy about this pro back to college back everybody's going crazy. SEC told Lane Kiffin that he can't, bring the player from the NFL now, so now he can't play with LSU. The the big ten came out with something saying that they're not allowing players to do it. ACC said the same thing, and it's it's too late for all this, man. Y'all are gonna get blocked in court, so y'all might as well just be ready for the legal fees and all the stuff like that because it just is what it is, man. We opened up this Pandora's box and we need to make sure that we have a commissioner for the NCAA that can have some type of authority. They need to make some type of authority over these rulings and over these things and just shut it down. You know, I think super seniors, six to seven years. Six years, I think, is the max that we should let players play. After six, maybe seven, depending on if it's an injury or something like that, some freak accident, seven years max, bro. You should not be 28, 29, 30 playing college football. Like, we got 17 year olds you're playing up against. That's crazy. Just saying. Now we gotta shout out Memphis because Memphis came out with a new head coach and and beat UNLV. They were not favored in this game. They were actually the underdog. Not by much, but they were definitely the underdog. And the coach came out and said, you play for me, you're gonna be tough. That's in life, that's in class, that's on the field, that's in just he was going hard and, know, he's like, you know, life ain't always fun, but you know what's fun? What's going on in that locker room right now? That's fun. We won and that's fun. I'm here for it. I'm here for Memphis coach. He's he got the ride. I I wanna run through a brick wall for him right now. I do think, though, that they're not gonna get as far as we would hope, but they will be fun to watch because they are gonna be scrappy, they are gonna be like the Jets, like, well, Titans coach now. Salah, coach Salah said, we're gonna be biting kneecaps and and twisting ankles and dirty and blah blah blah. Like, they like, all the grimy, gritty coaches, they always give you that feeling and then, you know, you're only as good as the talent you got. But it's gonna be fun to watch them, and they proved why because if you count them out as underdogs, they're gonna continue to show you that they can cover and they can win possibly. Now on to the WNBA. Wings clinched the playoffs, y'all. Yeah. Number eight seed. Yeah. I was in the building. It was in Arlington. It was at it was at UTA. First off, I really would like to talk to UTA about not having police out there for the parking and traffic to wave people through. Like, I get it. You know, it's not that big of a deal. They're playing Portland, but my god, man. There the traffic was stupid. Only on campus, though. It was only on the campus that traffic was stupid. It was not bad traffic going into Arlington. Was not bad traffic around the campus. It was just on the campus because people are stupid and they need to be waved and stopped and told when to go. It's unfortunate, but it's true. The other thing that I'm concerned about is that there were not a lot of fans in the building. And again, I get it, it's Portland. Portland is not their new franchise. They're not that great. Blah blah blah. But this was a moment where the wings could clinch the playoffs. So this is a moment that the fans should rejoice in. Right? The fans that wanna be there, that have been there through the rough times when they missed the playoffs, like three, four, three seasons, I think in a row. They were bad first round pick last year. They were bad first round pick the year before that. It's like y'all should be in the stands going crazy. I see y'all when y'all get an opportunity to go to AAC and and get your Instagram pictures and look at me and look at me, but you won't go support your team when they are clinching the playoffs? Playoffs? I don't get it. But it was nice to see a lot of the fans, the die hard fans that were there, they were going crazy for Yee, they were cheering her name to get her in the game, she got in the game and then she balled out. Paige, obviously we know she's been going crazy, Arike, she was going crazy. You know, it's just it it was a good look for the Wings to get in the playoffs. Unfortunately, they have to face the Minnesota Lynx. And 'm a be honest. I foresee a sweep. I foresee them not winning a game. They haven't beaten them all season. Right? They are o and four. The only close game that was was with them was May. Every other game has been pretty much a blowout. With the last time that they saw them, someone broke a record on three pointers made. 43 points. There's a reason we don't wanna see the links, but here we are facing them, about to get swept. Just saying, but we wanted to draft AZ Fudd. AZ Fudd. AZ AZ. AZ AZ. I don't know, fuck. On a side note, I do wanna add, I do like, I'm glad that people are finally coming to the realization and I'm not yeah, I am. I love it when I'm right. I love it when I'm right and breathe rolling her eyes and just for tells me everything I need to know. Yes, I love being right because I'm I told you motherfuckers that we should have drafted Olivia or we should have drafted somebody else, another player, another rookie that is balling out. But we had a chance to draft the best rookie that the WNBA has seen in like fifteen years and we chose a love story. Listen, I'm all for headlines, I'm cool with it when you just don't care. But you had an opportunity to get a dynasty started with the rookie of the year from last year and who is definitely going to be the rookie of the year this year and create a franchise that would probably be damn near unstoppable, give or take a couple players. But I don't understand the logic, man. Like, it really blows my mind because Fudd is hurt and not to kick her while she's down, she's hurt. But like you chose a love story instead of just best player available. Don't get me wrong, Fudd is gonna be a great player, is a great player, was a great player coming out of college, but Olivia was that dog. Like, you needed that in the locker room. You needed that with Paige. You needed that with Enrique. I don't understand and I never will why we choose the the headlines over the best player available. It just it's stupid. And now we gotta face the team who dominates us, who has the rookie of the year, who is creating a dynasty, and we gonna be at best seventh seed for the next three, four years because Paige is good but she can't carry everybody and listen, Enrique Abbey, I I love Enrique. She was my dog before Paige got here. But she has her games where she just disappears. Whether it be on defense, whether it be on off, like, she gets in these frustrated moments and just forgets to play ball. Like, I don't know what happens, man, but I've seen her in some instances just absolutely be abysmal. And it just, like, it didn't make sense to me then, it doesn't make sense to me now, and I'm just like, I tried to tell y'all. Like, I tried to tell you. Wings fans was going crazy talking, man, they'll be all AZ bro, blah blah blah, let them be in love and blah blah blah. Yeah, I hear you. I hear you. But the best player available was Olivia and she is an animal on the court. Nicest thing in the world off the court. Like you can't even believe the switch. Like when she gets on the podium and starts talking to you like, this is not the person that just called somebody after damn near snapping an ankle by a crossover fucking a bitch ass nigga. Like that's not, that's not who that was. No. That's who that was. I don't understand it. Moving on. Happy that the Wings happy that the Wings made the playoffs, but that's not enough to me as a fan. I just it's not enough. Now on to the NFL. Everybody is talking about this damn NFL or non NFL player that scammed women out of a million dollars, over a million dollars. And I'm a say this as sympathetically as I can. I don't feel bad for y'all. I'm sorry. This is the most asinine, ass backwards shit I've ever heard in my life. Isn't the football player the one with the money? Isn't he the one that's supposed to be giving you money, but he's scamming y'all out of millions of dollars? I what? I don't give money to no man. You know what I'm saying? Never. You know what I'm saying? Like, what are we talking about? I've never in my life heard or think nothing like this. Now, granted, granted, I have had women spend money on me. I'm not I'm not dumb. I understand that. But there's a cert to a certain extent. Second of all, we talking about the San Francisco 49ers. He in the bay. He should be making all kind of money right now. And if he wasn't really in the league or it would've like, the Google, like Instagram, Twitter, like how did he get away with this for so long? What were we doing? I don't know. I just I find it hard to feel bad about the women that got hustled. I do think it's it's wrong. It's wrong to scam people out of their money. But I also think it's kinda like dumb. Yeah, like what? What do you mean you sent this man a $100, $40? It's supposed to be the other way around apparently. On the internets, they say the women's supposed to get the bag. The most I spend on a man is $10 at McDonald's through the drive thru. Woman hater club over here. Woman hater? Nefa. Yeah, man hater club over here. I just wouldn't spend a $100,000 on a man unless we were married. And I just don't, I mean, he was arrested, so let's, he was arrested and that's another point, like, none of these girls, like, I ain't seen one picture of him with them yet. That's another reason why I'm like, he ain't even come see you, y'all ain't got no dates, Y'all ain't got no pictures. You know, because women love taking pictures of they football player. Oh, look at my man. He the best receiver in the league. Blah blah blah blah blah. I ain't see one picture. One video. All the scamming he was doing, I didn't see one lick of like anything and it's so crazy to me. I just, It's so crazy to me. But I do find it, conspiracy theory coming, very convenient that this video dropped and this news dropped, all these videos of him out there dropped right after, and I mean right after, the owner was caught and got arrested and the video footage of him getting arrested came out and him looking like a deer in headlights acting like he ain't know he just went and did some wild shit that he paid $140 for. I'm still baffled by the fact this man paid $140 at a trailer park. I'm still like, bro, you are worth billions of dollars. $140 is like that's like a penny. That might be I give it a 0.25. That might be a 0.25 to you. And it's you out here tricking quarters for some weird shit. It had to be some weird shit. I don't care what nobody says. It had to be some weird ass shit to be in that trailer park. And it just, I don't know, the story breaks, sets the internet on fire and all of a sudden we all forgot about mister mister York. And it's like, some of us didn't. I do think it was very convenient. Yeah. So again, he definitely deserves to get in trouble. He definitely deserves to go to jail for whatever scams, fraud, whatever the case may be. But hey, listen, I don't feel bad for him and I don't feel bad for them. I'm an equal opportunity hater and I hate the both sides of that shit because that shit was stupid as hell. I saw that shit and I was like, 1,400,000? Who are these women and where can I find some at? Because I need some money too. Shit. I'm a high rocks all star if that's the case. I'm in the World Olympics. Jesus Christ, man. Anyway, in other news, Josh Jacobs is now oh, let me let me say it. Terry and Arnold and Josh Jacobs are now added to the commissioner's exempt list. They cannot play. They cannot practice. They cannot be on I don't think they could be on team facilities, which is really weird for Arnold because Arnold just signed with the Seahawks from being released from the Lions. So that's really weird what's going on with him. Like there was kidnapping and all sorts of crazy nonsense. Now I hear it's a case of somebody stole something from him and he found out and he found them and wouldn't let them leave kind of thing, but whatever. I don't know. You know? I don't feel bad for either side on that one either. And then Josh Jacobs, obviously, his situation where there's supposedly a video or video footage of him and the girlfriend in the altercation where he pushes her down. And that has made the, yeah, it has made the, commissioner who don't play NCAA, take note, take note, who about those things, domestic violence and things like that. So both of them are now on the exempt list and cannot play or practice. So this is crazy, especially for us Packer fans who thought it was kinda just like, you know, not a big deal. They got into a fight, police were called, blah blah blah. Both of them had scratches and stuff like that on them, so it could have been defense wounds on both sides. There wasn't really like from what I saw, I didn't see everything. I didn't I don't I try to stay away from that side of it because man, you just never know and you never wanna stick your neck out there. Oh, he couldn't have done that. Or, Oh, she's she's the victim. And then turns out it wasn't neither side, both sides are wrong. So I'm hoping that the video just shows basically he pushed her down or something, I don't know, something like that because listen, anger makes people do weird things, out of character things. Nobody thinks Josh Jacobs is a woman beater. All his teammates and everybody says the same thing. This isn't a repeat occurrence. Nobody's ever heard of anything like this, but then again, we didn't think that about Ray Rice either and we saw the video for that. So I'm hoping it's not as crazy as it sounds and I'm hoping it was just kinda like defense and it was kinda like he pushed her down because of like, you know, yeah, it was defense and he gets suspended for the games and punished for the things that he did, and we move on. It's looking a little scary, though. It's looking like, you know, if if it's if it's more than that or if it's a glimpse more than that and the world gets a hold of that video, which probably coming soon, it's not going to be good. Now there were some trades. There were some cuts, obviously, with the 53 man roster having to be done earlier in the preseason than usual. There were a lot of moving parts and everything like that. A lot of people y'all have never heard of. A lot of people y'all don't really care about unless you're a fan of that team. One noticeable thing that I will say is Quinn Ewers ended up being traded from the Dolphins to the Jacksonville Jaguars to be their backup third string, I think, which he was already backup for Malik Willis. And I like, I don't know. Maybe they just believe Willis is gonna be that good and that, you know, they don't need Quinn Ewers. They would rather have the draft pick, which is crazy. But, hey. Listen. That's on them. He lost the the the backup job to whoever the backup is. I don't even know who it is. And yeah. So there it is. But yeah. Cleveland, however, put Dylan Gabriel on the pup list, basically putting him or injure injury report, basically, IR, injure reserve, excuse me. He basically can't be like, he basically can't play. Now mind you, he just played the last preseason game. Had a pretty good game. I'm not gonna lie. But now he can't play for, like, eight weeks. Meanwhile, they said that Deshaun Watson is really the starter, and Shadoor is gonna back him up, and they have four quarterbacks on the roster. Now they're not the only team, but this feels a lot like last year, repeated all over again. You're just switching out players on who's IR and who's not. This is the one of the worst franchises, and I only say one of because the Jets are still in the league. This is one of the worst franchises in the league, and they're getting a new dome. They're getting a new stadium. And I really feel like the NFL should step in from now on and say, what have you done to deserve that stadium? What have you done to deserve that stadium? The Rams deserve the new stadium. Cowboys deserve the new stadium. They're always in the news. They're always trying to win. They're always competitive. Commanders, no. Sit y'all ass down. Change their names. Right. That's about it. Eagles deserve a new stadium. Steelers, hell, they at least get to the playoffs every year, deserve a new stadium. What in the hell have the Browns done in the last ten years? Did they deserve a new dome, a bowl of shit for shit to play on the field. What are we doing, NFL? Please stop this from happening. Now, it's time for beer flight of the night. Alright. First up. Oh, yeah. Six seconds is enough for me to breathe. No. I thought you were gonna bring it when I started doing the now thing, but, you know, here we are live. Listen, we live today. Okay? So y'all get to see some of the hostility I have to deal with. I to hit play. You do. I give you that. I give you that. And then have six seconds to bring you four beers and not chuck them at your face? I mean, that's valid. Come back? That's valid. To make sure valid. It's valid. Maybe I should put them on the table over here instead and that's my bad. Floor. On the floor, maybe. Yeah. It's my bad. Alright. First up, we have Drecker Brewing Company and it is called If It Wasn't For The Wind IPA. So y'all get to see a rare occasion where, like, the tape on can caught my attention. This can is crazy. Also, you get to see firsthand me oh, that sounded good. So Drecker is actually one of my favorite breweries. They make really good sours. They are only based in North Dakota, and you have to have like a special person. A special person? So they only have one person in the state of Texas that like sells them to stores and breweries and bars and all that. So So they only have one person? Yeah. Man, that person got freaking flyer miles out of this world because They're doing great. Yeah, I'm about to say. Very This citrusy is a New England IPA, 7%. It is also a collaboration with Barrel Theory, which is in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Minnesota. It is just a mango pineapple hoppy IPA. That's it. That's that's that's literally what That's I tell all it is. That's what you taste. It's not very hoppy, it's very citrusy. You could drink this lukewarm and it still would probably taste the same. It's very good. I give it credit. Yeah, Drecker, this was Next up, we have Manhattan Project Beer Company. It is the Black Rain. It is a black IPA. Eight and a half percent. Lord, pray for me. Another good sounding can. See, I like this already. We should do it like this more often. It is definitely dark. Looks very malty. Oh, smells very hoppy. Smells like, oh, almost danky. Very danky. Man, this is actually really good. The darkness fooled me. Yeah. I thought it was gonna be like almost stout ish. Mm-mm. But it was very, very, very, very hoppy. Very IPA all the way. Yep. Yeah. I'm with this. It is 8.5%. It is bitter, boozy, dark. And it's so funny because one of the pictures on here is actually from my job. Oh, really? Yeah. That's outstanding. So in the background, I believe this was from today because Oh, somebody put it on Untapped. On Untapped. Nice. Nice. Yeah. That's my job. That is. You posted this. Oh, yep. These are my regulars that posted this. Yeah. I love The regulars made it on the show. Yes. I will let them know, hey. Now they gotta tune in and see how they made it on the show. They're be like, what? How'd I be? What where'd you would you take pictures of me? What did it like? No. He's the best too. Good. And he's and he's clearly a good beer drinker because that black IPA was actually really good. I was really nervous because it looked like a stout and it was not a stout at all. So next up, we have Prairie Artisan Ale Brewing Company. Right? And it is fourth quarter. It is a sports drink inspired sour ale with natural flavors, and FD and C and yellow number five. Come on, fam. This is based on lemon flavored Gatorade. Okay. And The description on this is gluggable. Gluggable? Gluggable. Lemony sweet. Okay. This is I I remember having this at Saucer. Oh, it is fantastic. Lemon lime for sure. Mhmm. Like, it smells like a very strong Gatorade. The yellow the yellowish green Gatorade. Alright. Very good. Very good. I what? It does taste like Gatorade. That's so crazy. Prairie. What is the percentage? Yeah. What is the percentage? 5.3. Okay. I'm like, this feels very crushable. See, it's the lighter ABV sours that rock I rock with heavy. And I think that that is yeah. This is really good. Okay. Gatorade. Gatorade. What movie is that from? Jesus Christ, man. Didn't one time, a long time ago, you said Haterade or Gatorade on this show and I looked at you crazy? I just thought, you know, maybe you would just When do I have time, Ziggy? Finally wanna watch movies and get up to par with everybody else in the world. Ziggy, I love I only have YouTube and that's it right now. I don't even have a TV. I'm doing my best. My god. Is it that depressing for a sing Thursday's off. Is it that depressing for a single white woman? Like, Jesus Christ. One day off a week. That is crazy. Yeah. No. I feel you. I used to And on Thursdays off, Ziggy? I'm still working. Yeah. As I say For you. Yeah. Woah. Woah. Woah. Don't make this about me. Don't make this don't make people think I slave you. Anyway, next up is Surly Brewing Company. It is the winterized winter lager. It is what is 355 milliliters. Okay, bro. Don't get cute. And it is 6%. Mhmm. Mhmm. It is multi, biscuity. Yeah. Because it's supposed to be getting close to winter. Yep. Surly makes really good stouts. Okay. So I should expect Stouty on this then? No. Oh, okay. They just make good stouts. Very laggery. Mhmm. Very, laggery. Smells like a lager. Smells like a lager. Tastes like a lager. Oh. So kind of a thicker lager though, like it tastes like it tastes thick. That sounds crazy. But yeah. It tastes like a thicker lager. Like it tastes like it's supposed to be warm, if you will. What? Have you had a Brooklyn lager? Brooklyn's Brewery or Mhmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have had their lager. Their lager is kinda heavy, thick. What's the percentage on this again? Six? Yeah. Not gonna lie. It's excuse me. It's yeah. I'm I'm gonna go with the heavy thick lager. It's yeah. Winterized. Yeah. Fits the name very well. What's your favorite? Favorite of the night. I can't believe I'm saying this. Prairie Artisan Ale, man. They just I mean, this fourth quarter is amazing. It is it's Gatorade in beer. I don't even know how to explain it. It's listen. This was good. It smelled way more sour than it tasted, but excuse me. Drink it too fast. It smelled way sour than it tasted and it was very crushable. That is a winter, summer, all year round vibe. You wanna impress some people while watching football, that's how to do it. And that was beer flight of the night. And we're gonna do things a little different. As you all can see, we're doing this live. Those of you listening later on will understand what we're talking about cause we got some new scenery we're about to do in the next few weeks. We're gonna take a week off, so don't be upset with us. And then we're gonna pop up at a new home. Can't really Divulge anything else. Yeah. Anything else than that. But but, you're still gonna be able to see and hear us at all the places you watch and listen to us, whether you go to stolenwatermedia.com, whether you go to our YouTube page, Sunset Lounge, whether you go to Beer thirty, page on YouTube or if you listen to podcasts, everywhere that you can listen to podcasts, you're still gonna be able to do that. But again, it'll look a little different. It'll feel a little different. But we're gonna kick things off. We're gonna do this a little different. Instead of conversations at the keg, we're gonna talk hangover clinic where we don't talk sports at all. God bless. Hangover Clinic is yeah. We're just gonna make it about yeah. A little side pop culture thing. Yeah. So Labor Day, we have off. Hell yeah. Well, I have off. I don't. I still will be working. Are you gonna be are you going to be like most are you working morning or late? So I open every Monday. Every Monday. Got it. So no matter the holiday, no matter the year, no matter the Monday If y'all or wanna come see me? Yeah. Early Now, at the question is, when you get off, are you gonna do anything? So I get off probably around four. Perfect timing? Yeah. So I'll probably go to my parents. Okay. Because they have the day off. Yeah. The teachers, so they have the day off. They're teachers. I didn't know Papa Bree and Mama Bree were teachers. So my mom is a vice principal. Oh, she's a big dog. Yeah. She a big dog. Then my dad is not a teacher. How do I explain this? Oh, guidance counselor? He's he's over schools for Dallas ISD. But he's not He's a not a superintendent. I feel like I'm playing fucking trivia here. No. What the fuck? I don't know. When I tell you, people ask me all the time what his job description is and I I could not tell you. Yeah. No. That sounded That that was a good enough description right there. That means that means she a big dog and he the boss. He's he he is a boss. Yeah. Like, you know what I'm saying? He's in charge of like, if they do well star testing wise. Oh, man. And some other math. He does a lot of math and I'm just not involved in that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But they have the day off. Yeah. Of course. Every normal person has the day off except for servers, bartenders, and Yeah. Because everybody else DJs because everybody else Yeah. Exactly. We gotta get drunk for Labor Day weekend. So I will probably go to their house and we might watch, oh, Ted Lasso. Hey. Hey. We've we've missed the past three weeks. Hey. So They have not catch up. They have not missed a beat. I know. I we only have that's third one and two of the new season. We haven't I'm not gonna spoil it, but oh my It is so like, the writers for that show do not get enough credit. I love that show. That show is the actors, I get it, but the writers that write the script and storyline of that whole thing, like, they ain't miss a beat. It doesn't matter what plug and play. It don't matter. It is the same vibe. Yeah. Oh. Great show. So that makes sense. Mhmm. Me? I have no real plans yet. I'm trying to make plans, but I really don't wanna wear all white. And I feel like everywhere I'm trying to go out because I'm a go out. Because I'm off Monday, my job is very lenient. My day job is very lenient when it comes to like what time I get in, what time I leave. They're very free spirit. As long as I do my work and get on my business, they don't really care what time I come or go. Okay? But that being said, if I go out Labor Day, right? And I'm a New Yorker, so like we go out Labor Day in New York, it's the parade. So ain't no white because your clothes will be absolutely destroyed. Because those of you who don't know what the Labor Day Parade is, I advise you once in your life to go if you're old enough. It is a parade. It's basically the West Indian Parade. And it is a vibe. It is dancing. It is if you've ever seen the videos of Carnival, imagine that but in New York. Yeah. It's crazy. Paint thrown everywhere, powder, water thrown on it's listen. And everybody's smoking a blunt, drinking, dancing. Good stuff. Women women dancing on men, men dancing on women, having a good time. Everybody got their flags of their ethnicities out. It is absolutely wonderful. At least from what I remember. I don't know. I haven't been in years, but I've gone to at least like 10 of them. And every time I had a great time, every time walked out of there dirty as hell, Just doused in whatever was there. Hell yeah. So for me, I feel like all white is I feel like it's try I don't wanna wear all white. Mhmm. So I don't know if I'm a go out actually on Labor Day because I don't wanna wear all white. I didn't wanna be It Apparently, you're not supposed to wear white after Labor Day, blah blah blah. So they make all white parts. It's like But isn't every day after Labor Day technically after Labor Day? How far in advance or like how far after Labor Day is You after just dropped like a bomb on it. And like, I was like, wait, what was it? What? Wait, wait, what color is which way are we going here? Wait. Yeah. That's a valid question. And honestly, like, I feel like You could say you could say today is before Labor Day, but if you think about it, it's after Labor After Labor Day. Yeah. Technically. I mean, technically When's the cutoff? Labor Day, I guess? I don't know. The week? I don't listen. I just think that like I don't like this up. Yeah. I don't yeah. How long does not wearing white after Labor day last? And if you chat GPT, it's gonna give you the wrong answer. Although I do think that it's cool that everybody's wearing like the same colors and stuff like that, I also don't wanna be that guy to show up in a different color. Like, excuse me, that can't follow instructions. Memorial Day. May? Unfortunately, the old fashioned rule says you can wear white again starting on Memorial Day. In May? In May, what? That hell no. Hell no. No longer applies. Yeah. No wonder it doesn't apply. It is the following year. Yep. Fuck, man. Get off the gas. But yeah, so I but I also don't wanna be that guy too that just like doesn't follow instructions and thinks he's, you know, too good to follow the rules type thing. So I don't know. I might I might end up wearing white, maybe a white shirt and a light pair of pants or shorts or whatever. I don't know. But it's just very, very, very, very, very, very, very I like Labor Day. Labor Day has always been a good, good holiday for me. Always. Traditionally speaking. It's always been a good holiday. So three day weekend, I'm excited. We'll be off for that week. So before y'all get upset, just understand. Thank God. You said like like you're not gonna have you're have withdrawals from beer 30. I just Don't do that. Anyway But yeah, Labor Day will be off and then next week, the following week will be football will be on. Yep. Man, we made it. We made it. But I am honestly just, like, kind of relieved because I have run out of shit to watch. Mhmm. Like, I need sports again. That's why I'm reading books again, man. I you know what's crazy? I've already hit my 10 book, goal for the year. Hell yeah. Because I count audiobooks. So like, I'm on book 11 now and I'm on I'm gonna jump to 12 here shortly. Mhmm. And like audiobooks change the game for me because I'm stuck in traffic, you know what I'm saying, for a hot minute and forty five minute traffic, you know, shit. That's that's a good three, four chapters. Yeah. Now, I will say if the audiobook is really good, I will buy the physical book and get it back to the house so that I can Annate. Annate. Yeah. Like, okay, that really dug in. That really This line stuck with me. And I had I have had some great audiobooks, but I I can't I just can't buy a fiction book yet. Yeah. But that Red Rising book Mhmm. Are the second book I audio audibled spoiler alert for those who aren't ready. Have you read it? No. The second one? Or the first one? I'm reading this book again. What's this book? That's a big ass book. It's not really. Twisted Ink? Twisted Ink. What is it about? You don't wanna know. Okay. See? You're right. You see, this is what I I get. This is what I get. This is why you're right. I I don't know why I said Red Rising and Golden Sun, I advise everybody to at least listen to. Mhmm. Like, because reading sometimes people just don't like to sit still and you know, the words and things like that. This audio book you can get into no matter like you can get into it if you're running, if you're working out in the gym or if you're like it is definitely going to stop you in your tracks like, oh shit, like how did that oh shit, how did that you know what I mean? So very good, very good book. I'm thinking of getting the third book in the series of supposedly the final book in the series, but I don't know yet. And I just haven't figured out a way to my body my my body won't let me order them as like hanging wall art. Because I have like bookshelves that let the books hang and I like, it won't They let me do have like really pretty ones too. Yeah. But I like, I just can't put a fiction book up there. All my all the books that are there are non fiction, like The Color of Law, How to Eat to Survive, they're like Have read the one Spy, a Lie? No. It's, or Spy, the Lie. It is a non fiction book, or is it a fiction book? I don't remember. It's about a ex CIA Okay. Person Uh-huh. And how they are able to, like, spy when someone's lying. Oh, this guy was in he he So if it's the same guy, there was a guy that that was on a podcast that I actually listen to every now and then that he was talking about like the telltale signs of the types of personalities people are. You could tell by their physical features. Like if they have crow's nest all the time, they're skeptical. Or no, I'm sorry, the frown, if they have marks like in the middle of their forehead Mhmm. Like from squinting or kinda like giving that like, what the fuck you mean face Yeah. That means they're skeptical. But if they have crows in the the crows whatever, it means they smile a lot. So they're always people pleasing. Like and that shit blew my I'm like, yo, this man was picking people apart from their physical features. Like, what if I just like to laugh, motherfucker? Like, damn. Like yeah. What if I just talk talk like like this? This? Yeah. Like, what if I'm just you know, I just look at you crazy every now and then, and my face got stuck like It's my mother told me not by three ex CIA members. Okay. It's on Kindle Unlimited. It's $0 on Kindle Unlimited. It's free. So I don't have Kindle Unlimited. I'm gonna I'm start gonna reading that one soon after it's free. Okay. Alright. Yeah. Because you're almost done with that. It's about damn near finished. That must be a I good hope we finish it tonight. Jesus. How many pages? I am on page two zero nine and there are Nah, bro. Two zero nine? That's crazy. Three forty nine. Oh yeah. You can finish that tonight. A 140 pages. I got it. Yeah. You can finish that tonight. That's crazy though, like 300 pay you know what, and that's the thing is like like The Color of Law, like that book was so long, like and the other the book I'm finishing now is like three fifty, 400 pages and I'm like, bruh, this shit is But if you really get into the book, like the pages, like Yeah. Hear you, but I read I hear you. I read four chapters. I don't know how many pages that is Mhmm. At the place I was eating before I came here. But see, like, that's the thing is, see how you couldn't count pages? Mhmm. You're you're really into the book. You know what I'm saying? Like, I I can't count I I didn't count the pages on Color of Law or the pages on the book I'm reading now, but I'm like, I know they're they're both well over 300 pages. And I'm like, it just to me, as my adult, I just couldn't fathom doing that. As a kid, I thought, you know, fucking a 100 pages was a lot. Mhmm. Three, four hundred pages now is like, I'd finish that in a couple weeks, maybe. And I'm like, damn, you got a full blown life going on. Are you still finishing 400 pages? So motherfuckers read, man. I need to read. That'll probably stop a lot of stupid shit. Women looking at y'all that paid Dejean Love, looking at y'all. Read a fucking book. Anyway, this was fun. I like live. We should do live more often. We will. And this is Beard thirty Sports O'clock. Reading is fundamental.
