On the on the West Coast. It is the May 7 in the year of our lord 2026, season 16, episode 44, 765 times. You have been welcomed to the clubhouse podcast, your one stop shop for all things sports, entertainment, pop culture, and pro wrestling. We welcome you because we are skating at full strength. Welcome. And I wanna say welcome about 464 more times. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the clubhouse podcast, and I have a new shirt. It is neither African nor European. Some of you will get that, and some of you won't, and that's okay. That way for me is my cohost making his triumphant return to the show. He is Alex. It's a little early to be triumphant at this point, but I will say it took a lot of effort not to start cackling when I realized what the shirt was during the preshow. It was one of those I saw it on shirt punch, and I was like, yeah, that's that's gotta happen. And there's actually another story behind that I'll have to tell you boys sometime. That's not they don't need to know about that stuff. At the bottom of your screen is the official fact checker of Sooner Gator productions of the man that's gonna kick the show off tonight, whether he knows it or not. You may know him as Don. Oh god. He's doing the Brady bunch thing. You may know him as Iggbunos. I'm a name him Don Ford. I'm a call him Don Ford. What? Can't hear you. I lost my hearing. I can't hear you. Which is exactly why he's kicking off the show tonight because we're going to visit a subject that we do not visit very much if at all anymore. Don had a NASCAR experience last weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway. Don, take it away. Don't take it out of time, but take woah. Okay. Don's Don's got the solo shot, so pay attention. Okay. Well, it was our first NASCAR experience. It was the big race that comes to the Texas Motor Speedway once a week I mean, once a year. And They can't twice a year, Don. Yeah. Once a year. No. They can hear twice a year. Used to be twice. Now it's only once. They've gone back to one? Mhmm. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah. It used to be they'd actually have three races, a real minor than the the the two big ones throughout the year. Now it's only one. What's that? I said good to know. Yeah. But it's the they have three races on the Friday night. They had the, truck races, which was a lot of fun. 250 miles, like a 160 laps. Then on Saturday, they had the Andes four hundred, which is for the minor leaguers, you could say nicely and the up and covers to put it nicely. And then on Sundays, we're the big one. That's the big dog of the worth, the worth 400. That's the big race for all the NASCAR. You had Joni Logano, Chase Elliott. Who did win? That'd be Joni Logano, perhaps. Well, the whole the whole crew's there. Okay? And so that's where they really packed in the stands. But here's the thing. It was enjoyable to see all three races. You know, the other the big dogs on Sunday is a big deal. But watching the ones on Friday, it looks like a put in comparison, the Friday night race is like a preseason game, and the Sunday race is like the NFC championship when it came to the crowds. Put it that way. So, we were in an area called the restart bar, which is on Turn 4 where they call it that because when they do a restart or they're doing a start where the pace card leaves off and they hit the gas and that's where they roar it and get going. We're right there. And Okay. So they had called the restart bar because whenever, you know, they have a certain line. And once they hit that line after a restart, after a crash or whatever, they're all lined up and boom, they go right there. And old man, oh man, oh man. I put some video on Facebook. How loud that is is beyond belief. It it you until you experience 40 cars going by you within about three seconds all at the same time, the noise level was incredible. We brought some earplugs just in case. Didn't do that great. That Saturday morning, the day after first saw didn't Sunday, didn't you have full, like, not even earplugs, like, full headset on there on Sunday? Saturday morning, we went away there. We stopped the Bass Pro shot and got those little, ear covers that he used for, like, hunting and, you know, fight at, gun ranges and stuff because that's what a lot of people have because it gets loud. If you don't Yeah. Suppressor headsets. Yeah. Those headphones You're you're hearing I I did used to work on a race team. So Yeah. And now one thing we're looking into, which I want by next year, to get the ear sets where you have a scanner and you could put into a certain driver and program it. You could hear the radio frequencies and hear what they're saying between the pit crew and the driver throughout the whole race. So it gives you the protection. Plus I could talk to Faith with a little the earset things and the scanner so I can push a button and say hey Faith can't get you anything and we could hear each other. And they can also listen in and hear saying, hey, we need to pull in for a crew, need to, you know, pull in for a for a stop, whatever. So that's something we'll do by next year, but in how they do a pit spot stop, under ten seconds. They are they pull in, they're jacking up the car, you know, one, two, three, four, one side of the tires are already done and done. Other side, put the gas in, ten seconds. They are in that doing the pit stop and that's it. They are gone. Incredible how fast they But do just the emotion when the power and everything, when those things go by all at once, it's like nothing you ever heard before. It it it gets addictive. And so the package we have with the restart bar, we get first dibs to renew for the next year, and they only like 10 spots open up a year. We already booked for next year. We we already we already paid for next year on that first half. We're like, yeah. Yeah. But just to go once and be by down low and take protection with you, take a lot of sunscreen, Take a lot of mosquito spray just in case. You know, be prepared. You could take in waters. You could take in beer if you don't go to the bar areas like in general stands and stuff. Be responsible. But, you know, a lot of people only went on Sunday. I enjoyed the whole thing. The truck races on Friday night were fun. But unfortunately, it was like a preseason football game crowd. That that really surprised me. That's the one thing surprised me. The main event, bro. Say what? The people care about the main event. I know. I know. But for me, you know, everybody eats their own. But just to go once, it was fun. We got addicted. We're doing this every year from now on. We're gonna keep our restart thing. And by next year, we're gonna, you know, go up a little bit, and I wanna get those sets where you can listen in to certain, races and stuff. And one last thing, listening in, we met Friday night when in our area there, Ross, Chastain, then we met him on Sunday morning again, nicest guy. Nicest guy. He's our new favorite guy. Number one, Ross Chastain, we're we're his biggest fans. Met him twice, the nicest guy, incredible. So Alright. That's the report. Fun. Fun. Fun. Go once and get back NASCAR to report. What's that? I said thank you, Don, for that NASCAR report. I think we've done our NASCAR duties for the year. Yes. We have. Pretty much. We're gonna renew our license. Alright, boys. Let's, I I do wanna touch because we're just over a month away from the World Cup, and, we don't talk like a lot of the nonmajor sports like we used to. And I wanna alert you guys to a couple of things as to sports we don't normally cover. We have some great, great shows right here at Sunset Lounge and in Stolen Water Media. Sunset Soccer Club in their last episodes in the last I think it was the last episode. It might have been the one before. They do a great in-depth look at the economics of the World Cup and how things are currently out of control. I don't I I don't wanna go too deep because those guys, they've forgotten more than I'll ever know. But one of the things that really stuck out to me was for the games that are being played at MetLife. Normally, if you would take a train to that stadium. Hey, Don. Mute your mic for a second. Wanna see if that's you or if it's me. If you take a train, cost you, like, $3 each way. For the World Cup matches, those train tickets are a $150. Yeah. Like, it's insane. They talk about the ticket prices between, like, in LA between The US match, which apparently is gonna be like a fair to Midland entertaining match, and another match, which is between two powerhouse teams, how the tickets are way out of proportion. So go check out Sunset, Soccer Club for that because we're just over sixty day or over thirty days away. We're we're just about a month out from the World Cup. Also, f if you're an f one fan, Ziggy went to the race in Miami a couple of weeks ago, beer thirty sports o'clock. I'm about a third of the way through that show right now, but he has a friend of his who is, a a an f one guru. She knows her stuff, and she really breaks down f one, for people like me who are kinda f one stupid. Like, I saw the movie. I I followed it, but it's a really good episode. Make sure you're checking out all the great shows right here at Sunset Lounge, and Stolen Water Media. I mean, there's just not a bad amongst the bunch. We're all bringing our a game all the time. So go check out those two shows specifically, if you are interested in learning more about the World Cup and how it's affecting America, versus the way it's been before. Some of the stuff that they bring up, I really think those that are in in control of said things should really pay attention to because there's some very interesting comparisons they make. And, as in the four the f one as it's really starting to grow in this country as well. Rob, if if I can, we were looking into going to just one game just to go and see. And even not the ones with, like, Argentina here in Dallas because, of course, Messi, the Argentina games are gonna be through the roof just to see Messi and play live, that kind of thing. But we're looking just like even the Japan, whatever the first round ones. Tickets, like, even the nosebleeds were, like, $4,500 from their website. Yep. I'm like, what? And it's gonna get worse as we get closer. I promise you that. Oh, I know. We're like, it ain't worth that much. We'd love to see just to go once to see a World Cup game. Like, we let's go to NASCAR, see what's it like. Just go once, and the cost ain't worth that much. Mm-mm. I could imagine what the cost of the quarterfinals or the semis or the total fight oh, yeah. Yeah. One quick NFL note, Don. What's that? You might have your quarterback set in this week. A a Ron Rogers meeting with the steelers that is expected to play in 2026. That came down today. Back? Maybe. That's the rumor. Well, at least he thinks probably by the end of the weekend. Yeah. Yeah. Let's get into baseball talk in standings. First of shout out. Rachel went down to Kyle Field and saw the Savannah bananas last weekend, and they packed Kyle Field. Did you see what they did in left field, though? What they've done with football fields and the like? I cannot Okay. Neither confirm nor deny. You you think of a football field is is 300 feet because it's a 100 yards. So there's normal distance to whichever field the long end is. Right? Well, a football field is only 40 yards wide, so it's a 120 feet. They put a 50 foot netting on that wall that basically acts as its own barrier that they can hit into the net and come back, and it's either a double or however it plays. But for it to be a home run on the short side, it basically has to be a pop fly over the net as well. She had a lot of great shots that showed that off as well. It was a really cool, really cool. Thank you, Rachel. There's yeah. There it is. I'm gonna mute myself and we'll see if it does still does it. Hold on. Oh, I've been cycling through everybody's. So Did you figure out who it was? I I I put it in the private chat so that we weren't doing it on air, but I'm not trying to call anybody out. So It's okay. I I just muted myself, and it's So we'll we'll figure it out at some point. Just, you know, it's the quirks that make this show what it is. You know what I mean? And the American League East who are currently playing on my TV in the studio, the Boston Red Sox are not doing well. They're currently tied at the top of four with Tampa Bay, at at Fenway, but they're not a three game hitter, so they're trying. They are currently to Toronto for the stellar. They are both a game back on Baltimore. Orioles now six, seven and a half back on Tampa Bay who they are playing, and Tampa Bay is currently a game back on the Yankees. By the way, Tampa Bay's won six in a row. In the central division, the Minnesota Twins, they are, ex as expected. They're, you know, six games below 500. They're three and a half back in the division. They're a game back of the royals. Kansas City, a half game back of of Swiss. White sox are a half game back on Detour, and the three are now a game and a half back on Cleveland. Cleveland, the only team in this division currently on a win streak, and that's only two games. So in the AL West Alex, have you looked at the standing lately? Not in a while, to be honest with you. If I were to have you guess who has both the worst run differential in this division and sits in the cellar, would you know who that is? In the AL West? My gut wants to automatically say it's the angels because it has been for years, but that that feels almost like a setup because then you'd have to be like, well, maybe it's the athletics, and I do not know. I'm gonna guess law. You're both partially right. Oh, okay. Law is tied for the seller, but they do not have the worst run differential in the division. At a minus 37 currently Mhmm. Houston Houston Houston is tied for the seller in the AL West. It's funny how it's hard to win games when you're not cheating. That's right. I said it. The entirety of Houston can at me. They are both two and a half games back on the rangers. The rangers are now a half game back on Seattle, but athletics do have the lead in the division. They got a lot of good young players. It's similar to what I've been saying for the last couple of years about Don's Pirates and the reds. They got a lot of young guys coming up, and when it clicks, it's gonna click big. They happen to be in that boat. And a minus 17 run different differential. Not too bad. In the NL West, the Giants are currently in last place. They are It's naming that gets dead all year. They are a half game back on Colorado. The Rockies are three back on Arizona. Diamondbacks are now five back on San Diego, and the Padres are now a half game back on the Dodgers. In the central, Cincinnati bringing up the rear. They're a half game back on Milliwok, and the Brewers are a half game back. Don, your Pittsburgh Pirates are in the middle of the pack. You're a game back on Saint Louis, and the cardinals are now four back on the cubs. By the way, the cubs have won nine of And in the only division that matters Have you seen the statistics on the cubs recent games? Go ahead. They were, I don't know the exact numbers, but it's like they were losing in eight out of nine. They had a walk off in four of those nine wins. They were losing although as late as the seventh and six of them or something. It's been it's been incredible for the cubs to have that kind of comeback. And then the only division that matters, the NL East. Bring it. Yeah. I know your boys are struggling, but you're 500 in your last 10. We got that going for you. You're at nine games below 500, 11 and a half back in the division. You're two back on Miami. The marlins have lost four in a row, but that's because three of those four were Philly. And Philly in those four games have pulled themselves out. Don't know if you saw this, Alex, last week. Philly was North America's favorite game show last week. That doesn't surprise me because they were really bad. And the moment they did the managerial change, hint, hint, wink, wink, Steve Cohen. And should've taken the managerial change, the team just lit a fire behind Don Mattingly. Philly now a half game back on Washington. The natinals now eight back on Atlanta. Atlanta getting some key members back, but now Acuna on the final. Because, of course. Killing me, Smalls. Alright, boys. It's now time for North America's favorite game show and our third different team in three weeks. Wow. What is the run differential for the San Francisco Giants? See, I was gonna be real cute about it, and I was gonna be like, did he notice saying that it was minus 37 in there? So if it's not that, I'm gonna have to go with minus 40 for the Giants. Good work with the context clues, sir. Well, it's how I got through high school. Do you know what? I'm I'm gonna be daring. I like round numbers. You know that. Negative 50. 50. The San Francisco Giants have played 37 games. 37. In those 37 games, they are fourteen and twenty three. That is a three seventy eight win percentage. As stated before, they are nine games back in the division. They're eight and eleven at home, six and twelve on the road. They're two and eight in their last 10, and those last two losses have come in their last two games. Don? You're over. Ask me, Daring. Alex? Oh, no. That's the wrong button. That's the wrong button. No. I was thinking it was minus 37, and I jinxed myself. This was gonna be great. Minus 42. They are exactly a Jackie Robinson under the even mark. So I'm gonna be Darron. I'm seeing it right now. Next week, I'm seeing negative 50. Put me on record. I don't care who it is. Hey, Don. I hope you realize how much that ruins the bit to the point where I hope we don't do it because we won't. Okay. Because it may not be the same team. I know. It it doesn't matter. He just wants to cherry pick something. So no. Not now if we're close to the end of the season, that's different. Okay. But it's May. Okay? Well, we still have a ways to go. Months. We do as we get into TV talk, we do have one, in memoriam to do, and we'll talk more about this later in the show, but you have to mention it in TV talk, losing Ted Turner Oh. Yesterday. For those that do not know, he is the know. Hunter's very upset too. Can you hear him? A little bit, but not too much. He's actually got my. Stop it, son. He is the sole solitary reason that I am a Braves fan. I was explaining this this to Sean yesterday. For those that are fairly new to the show, because we haven't talked about this in a while. Mhmm. People have asked me quite a bit why I'm a Braves fan. And I grew up in Southeast Florida right outside of Fort Lauderdale, which is where I will be at the end of the end of August because it is my thirty five year high school reunion this year. Tickets are booked. Thank you, Spirit. But I will say this spirit refunded me pretty quick. There's at least that. So for those of you that don't know, the marlins weren't a thing until '92. The panthers weren't a thing until '94. The heat weren't a thing till '87. So all we had growing up were the dolphins, which is why I am ride or die. My my dolphins will be my team until the end of time. I don't care. I mean, granted, no matter what the decisions they make and cowboy fans at me because you have it worse than we do. Let me ask you real fast. When did they become in? Let me finish the story. Okay. Alright, sir. Now now look ahead and finish your question. When did who come in? Tampa Bay. Way later. The lightnings or the Buck bucks. Buccaneers were in the seventies. Oh, buccaneers. I thought you were referring to the rays. The reason I'm a buccs fan is because I went to school there for a year, and that town makes you a fan of So that when I was in middle school, TBS was in its heyday. And back then, Ted Turner, because he owned the team Because billionaire Ted. He would show the braves games on TBS, which would immediately follow world championship wrestling from the NWA. So on Saturday nights, you know, normally world world championship wrestling, if there was no baseball, would go an hour and a half, two hours if they felt like it. But they would cut off, and this is the reason TBS used to start all of their shows at either 04:05 or thirty five because of baseball. For those of you that have always wondered that, that's why. So I would just win world championship wrestling ended because that was the name of the show before it was the name of the company. I would just watch the braves. And so I became a fan of the Atlanta braves. I would not be a fan of the Atlanta braves if it were not for Ted Turner. The man revolutionized television. I don't care if you agree with him. If you don't agree with him, you can't deny. He is the reason a lot of what we have is what we have. He created CNN. He created the twenty four hour news cycle. He made Vince McMahon up his game. You don't have the attitude era if you don't have WCW and Monday Nitro. And we're gonna talk more about that when we get to the cheat podcast because I wanna talk about a specific incident that could not have been done better. So hold on for that. Yeah. The the interesting thing as you were talking about with the braves being on TBS and readily available, there was two teams that had something like that. Now it's been long publicized and even on this show about my family's fandom for the Mets and how we've been ingrained based on Port St. Lousy. Before 1988 when that stadium opened and my family became employed by the team, all braves fans because that's the what we could get. The other team we had a soft spot in our heart for, the cubs because of WGN, but that was also after TBS and the Braves. And I love that Ted Turner's response to Major League Baseball were like, blackouts, that's cute. Let's go ahead and have the game all the time. I don't care if you tell us we can't show it. We're gonna do it because I own the network. And there's an interesting piece of this that I wanna say, Eric Bischoff actually touched on, and I know that that's kind of blending our two halves together, but he always said that Ted Turner may not have always had the best ideas, but he had the best ability to listen to ideas. Mhmm. So he'd give it a shot. He'd let it go. If he liked it, it didn't matter. He was gonna go into it. The man wildly claiming, I got deep pockets as we'll talk about later. So I mean, that's very twenty four hour news is because of him. Mhmm. And I'll say this. Growing up in Montana and he has a ranch up there, he got some flag because he did this and did that. But the man gave so much of his land back to the people he bought and gave back to the people of Montana in in this nation, which I totally have to give to the guy. And he revolutionized buffalo instead of just beef. People like buffalo. Now when you see a lot of buffalo in restaurants, it's because of him. Because he's the one who says start raising it just like you do cows and look what happened. You know? I'll give it to guys kudo every day. So let's get into stuff we watched this week. Gentlemen, anything from you guys because I've got something. So The daredevil finale. Really, really, really well. Hey, Rob. How many seasons behind on daredevil are you? I finished season one. Of, born again? No. Oh, did you not like it? No. It's just I'm so far behind on all of it. The problem was and we've talked about this before. I I tried to watch them in order, and I got through all of daredevil the first season when it came out because I loved it. Mhmm. Jessica Jones just stalled everything for me. Not because it's a bad show because it's not. It was just so heavy Mhmm. That it took me forever to get through. And I was I've just I have not recovered from the mental exhaustion that was that first season of that show. I I will say Luke Cage did a lot of bringing me back as well as other seasons of daredevil after that because you're right. That is an emotionally gargantuan undertaking with Jessica Jones that you may not know if you don't know any source material. But what I wanna say is that this season was really incredibly well done. And the way they leave it off for season three, non spoiler statement is 1000% leading into a comic book arc that Rob, you have mentioned on this show at least a couple of times that I remember. Excellent. Yeah. So I will say as much as I don't like being the guy that pushes, even if you only watch the daredevil seasons to catch up, I would highly recommend getting caught to current. Don? No. Nothing in the last week is one that we're gone for, you know, the weekend, festivities. The only one I'm kinda looking forward to actually tonight is the, nine one one season finale tonight. So that's what I'm kinda looking forward to on that one. Really new. I have finished American Gladiators. Ah, okay. I like Is it complete? Yes. Would you would you call okay. So you would call it beginning, middle, arc, done. I know who won. Okay. The only thing I found, I mean, a lot of injuries in in this season. Surprising, though. But they I mean, the pivots were quick. They got to a lot of replay. Replay is a big player now. Interesting. And it changes outcomes. That's all I'm saying. But one of the things I saw and I went, I see what you did there. In the final in the semifinals and in the finals, they actually add elements to the games. Alex, I need I need the three shot on this because this is important. Sorry. I was looking down doing research, and I didn't wanna look disrespectful. I'm sorry. Atlas fear actually turns into a race where they are they're on a course and they have to go around it twice with the gladiators coming at them. Okay. Very interesting. And then the person that wins gets 10 points, and then the person behind them has ten seconds to cross the finish line to get any points at all, which I thought was kind of cool. So it's like a countdown of you could have nine points, 8.7 points, or is it just It's ten and five. Okay. So it's you have to finish it in that time frame to get the five. Got it. That's actually a nice little touch. But the one little thing that made me go, uh-huh. They added a an extra piece to gauntlet. Oh. So once you clear the gauntlet, you go into this octagonal area where for the men, it was Fang played by Wardlow Mhmm. And hurricane played by Camille. Camille. Yeah. And you have thirty seconds to get a gladiator at least a part of their body outside of that octagon. The semi sumo rules from back in the day? Kinda sorta. Okay. What's what made me pull my tongue out of my cheek was the name of it. They called it the impact zone. Oh, come on. I went really? Really? But I it's decent. I it's one of those things that I I always go back to Mark Bernardin who said, Star Wars you grew up, Star Wars didn't? Yeah. This is the same kind of a thing. I grew up, American gladiators didn't. It's better than the last attempt. It reminds me a lot of when Dwayne did the titan games. Okay. Titan games was actually pretty well done in my opinion. Both seasons of it I enjoyed. But this was I mean, it had its cheese to it. They they actually debut a couple of other gladiators as it goes on, which is pretty neat. There's also another young lady that's been featured in AEW. She goes by J Rod in AEW in ring of honor. She's a Jessie? Oh, I don't remember if that was her name. Jesse Rodriguez? Sounds right. Yeah. She was she's a gladiator, and I was like, oh, there's another one. Fair enough. Let's get into it. ABC, who Disney, Fox, ESPN. They have renewed scrubs for season two. Good. Because they should. And they have renewed shifting gears for season three. Okay. They have also announced season fifteen of King of the Hill will kick off July 20 with all 10 episodes. I I I still feel weird about it being season fifteen where it's like the second season of the new iteration. So it's 15.2 or it's k o t h two, but it's king of the hell 15. It's like, need I need need help. I I a video recently where I guess they did some kind of an event where they had certain people dress up as live action versions of the characters. Like, McConaughey was dressed as Boomhauer. That feels so AI. On a red carp no. They were on a red carpet. Like, this was a Yeah. Yeah. It was strange. Wasn't it Brad Pitt that played Boomhauer's cousin or something back in one of the early seasons? I don't remember. I just I just remember the golf episode where Boomers four. They announced that the bear is ending with season five. That starts twenty fifth. Now they apparently, they dropped the prequel episode out of nowhere. They did. They did starring John Bernthal and even Moss Barack or Buck Rock. It was who? It it's got some weight. Fox has renewed murder in a small town for season three, and they're adding Peter Gallagher to the cast. I'm a big fan of him. Very much joyous work. And because Fox can't stop rebooting stuff Uh-oh. We're getting a reboot of highway to heaven, the old Michael Landon series that was like it was touched by an angel before there was touched by an angel. Yeah. I remember that series. What's that letter that comes after j in the alphabet? I'm just saying. HBO, Max, TBS, TNT, they have already renewed Harry Potter for season two. Oh, yeah. The amount of money they're throwing behind this, expect many seasons. And they have said better at how good or bad it is. And it will and they're actually doing them, naming them after the books, which I like. So chamber of secrets will start filming this fall. Okay. So get ready for that. NBC Universal Telemundo. Kelly Clarkson will be returning to the voice for season thirty. Kelly Clarkson can do no wrong. I'm good. And speaking of which, because I am the king of tying things together, Ryan will tell you that. This this past week, YDC actually had in studio the season sixteen voice winner, Maylyn Jarman. Yep. Really good interview. She pulls back the curtain right off the bat. And so, I I don't know if my wife checked it out or not, but that was also, John Legend's first season. She was literally the first John Legend ever had on that show. I feel like that would go, like, the first line of any resume I have. Yeah. John Legend picked me. Great interview. Go check that out on YDC. Netflix has said that the night agent will end after season four. Okay. But then for their final season, they're adding Abigail Breslin, David Denman from the office, and Annabeth Gish to the cast. Annabeth Gish, who we had on this show for about ninety seconds once. Well, that that's hitting a how did this get made triumvirate too. Oh, yeah. Season two of the four seasons on Netflix with the Tina Fey is gonna kick off May 28. And something I'm very fascinated in because I'm a very big fan of this person. May 20, they're debuting a three part documentary on the Kylie Minogue. Oh. Love her. That'll be interesting. Big, big fan. Paramount Plus. What was the date on that, though? May 20. Okay. So it's too early for a Streetfighter tie in. Oh, I really hope they talk about it. I really I do too. Like, I hope they talk about it, but it's not a tie in. It's too far apart. Paramount plus CBS has said the final episode of the late show will air in two weeks. Two weeks from tonight, boys. Their final episode of the late show. I'm gonna say it. But their Yeah. Explained to me, this is not hater rate on any on any level. I have a feeling you're not gonna want the answer to this. But somebody explained to me how Byron Allen just keeps showing up on my radar because he's gonna have that time slot. He's a guy that just shows up places. I I have been advised by attorneys not to speak my mind in these matters. Okay. I'm I'm I it's so strange. Because I'm I mean, the guy makes his money, pays his taxes, whatever. But Does he? He's not my speed. That's all I'm saying. And Prime Video, Alex, pay attention. I am listening. You will need to find a four d x theater I am aware of this news. On May 19 because they will be showing in four d x, which is things move and things rain falls on you and the whole nine. The finale of the boys will be screened in 40 x theaters on May 19 at 09:30 eastern. Mhmm. So, Alex, that you I know now you know because I told you even though you knew before, know knew you knew. Oh, no. I I I had maybe a conservative amount of 14 different messages, DMs, and texts the moment that news dropped. Because I've been day one with the boys. So Mhmm. TV on DVD and Blu ray this week, just, season 15 of call the midwife, which my wife is a big fan. Let's get into movies and stuff we watched this week. I actually do not have any movies this week. Don, do you have anything? Actually, no. Again, we were spend the whole thing out, and we're trying to catch up on regular stuff. So no new movies. I did a screening on Tuesday night, but I don't know if I can talk about it yet because they haven't told me when I can post my review. I well, let me ask you a question without a spoiler. Mhmm. Is there a JJ Frankie JJ cameo? No. I'm okay with this because he the the pride of Kabic. But I did watch my four k Blu ray of Mortal Kombat as I'm getting ready for this weekend. I'm I'm sorry. Your four k of what? I I don't have the effect. So You don't have it with you? You don't have it for you? Okay. No. I don't I don't have it. I tried. I tried milking it out on this board does not work, so it doesn't it's not the same. I I I do wonder, though, and I'm gonna have to put another movie in the player. It kept the video would just, like, blackout and come back in. The audio never left it. So I don't know if there's some bad connection or I've just got a glitchy disc. So I'm gonna have to put a different movie in there and see what happens. It is the first four k movie I put in in the player since we rearrange things in the living room. Oh my god. Like, there were points where even the cats were like, what's going? Dad, what's happening right now? It it's intense, bro. But I I really had forgotten, and maybe it's because it happened during the pandemic, and I watched it at home because it never really hit theaters. But I had forgotten how there's just not a lot of story to it. No. That, like, there's a whole lot of Scorpion's revenge. I remember that, but there's just not much to it. Well and but there's another part of that that you and I talked about this and because you were like, why was there not more techno? Why was there not more of that traditional Mortal Kombat? And I was like, sir, we're not even to the tournament yet. And I just remember seeing you sit there and just be like That's fair point. Why didn't I think of that? So yeah. So that's that's all I watched. I did watch a movie, and there's I'll talk about the other movie I watched when we get to new releases. We've got a few. I did see, the trailer for Tony this week. That's gonna be a tough one for me. I'm just letting you know right now. That's gonna be a tough I wanna let you know that I've I've did some research today. I don't know that it's full on factual. What I'm reading is this is an interpretation of what could have been Anthony Borgen years. But Dominic Sessa's great. Dom, we we've seen him since his start too. Hollow holdovers. And Antonio right there. Let's go. Like, I I'm here for it. Even if be 24, my my antenna's not. But but you also know the exact the reason with the connection there. The answer anytime ever asked me who's the coolest person you've ever met. It's Tony Bourdain, and everybody else is so far behind. It's not even close. Waffle House's number one fan. That is a true story. He appreciates it or appreciated it. That man worshiped at the altar of of Waffle House. I which makes no sense with in the grand scheme of things, but, you know, of The king of id gaff, Bo. Let's let's get into some a couple of headlines. As we know, Greta Gerwig has been working on a Narnia film called the magician's nephew for Netflix. It was announced earlier this week that they've moved the the, release back a little bit to February 12 because it is going to get a theatrical run. Okay. And but it will not it will not hit Narnia. It won't hit Narnia. It will not hit Netflix until April 2. So they're gonna give this thing a little bit of a run. Find your nearest wardrobe now. Hey. We went to an Airbnb once, if you remember, and they had that. It was one of the dopest things I've ever That's literally what I was picturing was Alamo just putting a wardrobe in front of the theater. No. I'm not talking about Alamo. I'm not saying you're talking about Alamo. I'm saying I could see Alamo doing that for this. Yeah. You're talking you're talking about that awesome Airbnb that slept, like, 42. Yeah. That was dope. Matthew Lillard has joined the cast of man of tomorrow. Mhmm. You know? That's the final role. Quick tangent to that. He is so good in the new season of daredevil. Like, Vincent D'Onofrio openly said they did a scene, and he had to walk out. Vincent D'Onofrio was like, I had to walk out and just start swearing because the level of talent Matthew Lillard has is infuriating when you've been acting this long. Nice. And it was officially announced yesterday. We're getting hocus pocus three, boys. Because So many unanswered questions from hocus pocus two. I don't think we had any in the first one. Too much either. I have seen the teaser for the practical magic two. Got nothing. Movies in places you see movies this week. We have the Billie Eilish hit me hard and soft, the tour live in three d directed by James Cameron. Mhmm. A lot of people are just like, okay. I I like the Billie Eilish. I've got I do too. But a lot of people are just like, there's this is so much style over substance. Man, it's a concert film. What are you expecting? Go see it. I mean supposed to be, isn't it? Have a good time. We have an Iron Maiden documentary hitting theaters this weekend. Really? Building ambition. I have eaten at Nico Brains barbecue place, and I will do it again. When I meant Well, you see, we have to get into an Iron Maiden documentary discussion, but we have to have doc on when we do this. Oh, I I think I need to see it with him if I can find a way to do that. That's what I was thinking too, but I didn't wanna push too far. As mentioned earlier, mortal combat two hits theaters this weekend. I'm going tomorrow afternoon at 01:00 in the IMAX because the only Dolby Cinema Stonebriar's doing is at 11:00 tomorrow night. So I'm going at 01:00 in the IMAX. Did you ever hear the did you ever hear the, Carrie Tigawa or Takagi story from '95? Probably, question mark? They never actually planned on anybody else playing Shang Tsung, but he didn't know that. So he showed up to the audition in full wardrobe and did the whole, like, banquet speech on a table, and they were like, yep. We chose right. Yeah. We chose wisely. Mhmm. There's a movie called two pianos, which is a foreign film that features Charlotte Rampling. This is a Mhmm. Romance thing that I'm not the demographic for. But what I do have a review up for at stolenwatermedia.com. That's our website. Website. We're gonna have to get used to that one. It it but it can still be the clubhousepodcast.com because that forwards now. The sheep detectives hits theaters this weekend. I cannot express to you boys how much I enjoyed this movie. You were talking positively about it, but we never got around to how much you enjoyed it. So We're definitely gonna have to go read it. When you're getting high praise, this level of high praise from both me and Alan Cerny, what does that tell you? That tells you boxes have been checked. Yeah. Because Allen and I don't agree on a lot. No. Rob the guy is dead, but he and don't agree a lot. Rob, watch gauge. Don, it was so long ago I couldn't even tell you. That's fair. I saw this movie like a month ago. Well, I've nope. Maybe you remember not. That reminds me. I do have another review I have to write. I mean, he said it's it's his favorite movie that's ilk since babe. Oh. And I I can't say that I disagree with him. This I mean, you guys know how much I love whodunits. Yes. It's based on a German book called, three bags full, the children's book. And, basically, huge Axman is a sheep farmer, and he dies. But every night while he was raising the sheep, he reads them detective stories because he just thinks they're just paying attention, but they really are paying attention. So the sheep kind of become the aids to the the inept cop in the town and He Man's in it. So it's and I will tell you, Alex, I don't know how much you know about I don't know anything. There are a pair of twin rams that just wanna fight and hit everything with their horns, both voiced by Brett Goldstein. Nice. Although He's just I wanna ram it. I wanna ram it. I wanna ram it. He he he's a little bit on my bad side right now, but he's getting his money. So whatever. So, yeah, I I highly recommend this film. There's a couple of sequences that could get a little dark for the young, young kids. Mhmm. But it's so good. Make this movie make a billion dollars because it's it's so wonderful. Emma Thompson is in it. I don't know that you've actually said the title yet. I said the sheep detectives. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't hear that. I I I know you went into describing it. I missed the title. I wanted to make sure that we didn't miss it. Go see this movie. It's so good and so cute, and it's it's wonderful. And Julia Julia Lou Dreyfus is the is the, matriarch of the herd. And it's it's also one of those things that if you don't know who the voice cast is, it's it's blended very well. Oh, okay. So but go check it out this weekend. Movies coming to DVD and B Roy on Tuesday. We have dreams coming on Tuesday. We also have the, Jason Statham shelter. Oh, yeah. For that. Scarot, which is a movie, a foreign film I saw last year. If you're in a rough mood, probably skip it. Good movie, not a feel good. We're getting a four k of the unrated version of bridesmaids. Okay. You're getting a four k steelbook for fight club. You're getting a four k steelbook of motel hell, and you're getting the criterion collection version of the delta. So got that going for you this week. Now we wanna let you guys know that next week, we are not going to be on this show because next week, Alex and I will be at the Longhorn Ballroom for the fourteenth edition of the Eric Nadel birthday benefit concert. Basically, Eric Nadel, voice of the rangers, legend, every year for his birthday, he for the last 14 of them anyway, he had he throws a benefit concert, and his musical tastes tend to be a little off the beaten path, which is a good thing. This year, he's gonna have Brooklyn based Sammy Ray and the friends, and then we're going to the other coast for Bay Area favorite Chuck Proffitt in the Cumbia shoes. It's gonna be next Thursday. Doors open at 07:30. Show or the doors open at 06:30. Show starts at 07:30 at the Longhorn Ballroom at 216 Corinth Street. And the benefit the beneficiary of said benefit is gonna be the Grant Halliburton Foundation. It's a local nonprofit that provides mental health education, training, and supports to team and families. You can go to granthalliburton.org slash Eric Nadel for more information, or you can just go to sun, you can go to stolenwatermedia.com, click on communities, and that will get you there as well. The YDC team along with this group of people and the OG, we're gonna be on the purple carpet. Alex and I will be there starting at 05:30 as does the dignitaries come in. It's presented by Hayes Boone and KXT ninety one point seven. Go support them. You can get a suite. You can be a sponsor. They have a silent auction of some amazing items. And or, you know, just be by the channel at, at 06:30 eastern and just watch Alex and I just make complete idiots out of ourselves more than we normally do. I'll be at the desk with Reiner and maybe Grego. Alex will be on the purple carpet with Grooves just like we did last year, and, it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong. So you don't wanna miss it next week. Also, as I mentioned earlier, stolenwatermedia.com is where you wanna go now for all the shows. Everybody's got stuff there now. We've got a new blog post going up probably tomorrow, giving you more of an in-depth look at something Don and I talked about last week. Kind of proud of this one. As I go a little bit deeper into, WrestleMania and the debacle it became. You can make sure you go check that out because I'm not saying that we're going deep, untied the numbers again, but, oh, wait a minute. Look at the title of this episode as I do this. Popcast where we talk all things in the world of professional wrestling, and we are so glad you are with us. Boys, let's get to it. Get involved. Announced today because we Don and I talked about this a little bit last week. Slammiversary and Forbidden Door the same day. Oh, really? Yes. Yeah. Know which one I would choose. Backed up to the June, which normally it's in the July. But here's what's gonna happen. Alex, you kinda don't have to because forbidden store is gonna forbidden door is gonna start at seven eastern. Slam a version is gonna start at three eastern. Slam adversity is That's plenty of time. Time so as not to overlap. Now granted, that's a long day, but at least they're not both going on at the same time. Let's get to the biggest news of the week. The cuts continued. Mhmm. Jeff Cobb gone. Who is who? Jeff Cobb, also known as JC Mateo. Oh, wow. But somebody noticed, hey. Jeff Cobb gets cut right as rumors of Lucha Underground start to swirl. And in case you don't know, the monster Matanza was awesome. And Tongaloha as well. But the biggest one is the departure of Xavier Woods, Austin Creed, and Kofi Kingston. Yep. They were scheduled. They were contracted through the end of the year. The company wanted them to take a pay cut. They said no. Thank you and left on their own accord. So the ninety day clock is now ticking. Do you You said Austin you all get into the of Woods in Coffey. And you said Austin Theory, did you say, also? No. Xavier Woods' name is Austin Creed. Okay. Okay. Alright. No. Austin Theory is still there. Go ahead, Alex. Okay. I I just misheard you. I'm sorry. Alex, go ahead. I'm trying to remember what I was gonna say. I said the ninety day clock is ticking now that with the new day gone. Biggie made a very wonderful post. Go ahead, Alex, please. Did y'all touch on what these contract things or what this contract situation is across the board last week? We did not. We just ran the list. And okay. So for those that don't know, these are a lot of performers under WWE contracts that may or may not have existed pre merger and have not signed a TKO contract. Now with TKO being the business first over top of both them and the UFC, allegedly or what is being reported and kinda has been confirmed by multiple outlets. These contracts are TKO contracts where they're asking people to take pay cuts because reasons. Now TKO. I I am very glad that this has come to light as early as it did in this process because the last time we saw something like this was the start of Cody's sojourn, if you will, where he decided he wanted to bet on himself. And there's other talents. Now we know that Kyrie was reported as wanting to go back to Japan because she literally has not lived in the same country as her husband since she signed with WWE. But with New Day coming along and being like, Austin Creed's really talented in many different outlets. He'll be okay. I mean, the dude got g four back for a little while. Kofi is an all time legend. They'll be good. They got a lot of different outlets now in the modern day, but it is a WWE versus TKO contract situation. Now there are reports that some people have already agreed to a up to a 50% pay cut. We will know more later on as it always does. I would just say maybe circle all in London on your calendar and get ready. Don't think it's take that long. Is you know, you heard those rumors of they they asked him to take pay cuts and all that. Those aren't rumors on this fact. Okay. Is the company really hurting that bad? I need you to tell No. They just announced profits. They they always announce record profits and then fire people. It's a terrible question. How do you make money? You make money by not spending money. Also that. That is capitalism one o. That's day one of capitalism one zero one. You make money by not spending it. And if you just and you look at both sides of this spectrum because I addressed this in the blog spot. Blog post. I'm sorry. You cut the the pay you give to your workers. You increase. As long as people will pay those increased prices and that talent will take that decrease in pay, You, of course, do that because that's capitalism. It doesn't make it right. It just makes what it is. And TKO is first ballot hall of fame in both of those categories. Because when and I said I I I don't wanna give too much of this blog post away, but I go I go into the numbers a little bit. 15,000 less tickets sold to WrestleMania, but they ain't hurting. Well, it's 15,000 less that they're admitting to as well. Based based on the numbers we have. But we also know that that that arena could have run empty, and they would not have been hurting for money just from a fundamental theory. Given all of the negativity that was WrestleMania forty two Mhmm. They still made tons of money. What was it? $1,790,000,000 in the first quarter? Probably. Believe that was something that was reported. Nick Connors said they will not do back to back years in the same city anymore. Let me know when that actually happens. Even though we know right now Nashville is the front runner for '44. But it also begs the question of the logistics of next year. And I I touch on that a little bit too, so go check that out. In we and we wanna give our best to everybody that's out there. The good news is, and Don and I talked about this last week, there's so much opportunity out there. People are gonna land somewhere. We wanna And where's the other blog again, Rob? It's right there. It's if you go to stolenwatermedia.com Yeah. Find our show. There are four tabs. Yeah. There's our reviews. There's trailers. There's and there's blogs. I think appearances is the fourth one. Okay. Shows is the other one. Okay. Yeah. Alright. So, yeah, that blog post, if it's not up tonight, it'll be up tomorrow because I finished it today. Well, I'll I'll be very curious to read that blog post at stolen water media dot com. I still are not used to it yet. No. I still I still do, I I I need to start plugging those. I I wonder if I wonder if you touch on, what my biggest concern about this is. I don't know. Well, I have a funny feeling because as we know in a capitalist society, sometimes companies are institutions, but sometimes companies are those that can get passed by larger companies back and forth. I am concerned that TKO is cutting costs to make a sale more likely to a certain entity that just pulled all of its billions of funding for a golf organization. Yeah. I am concerned about that. WWE become what used to be my mortgage? Yeah. A little bit. Probably. And I'll tell you, John Allard is a great episode just about mortgages. Yeah. But I I'm concerned that the KSA is about to put their newly restocked public investment fund towards, well, get used to, may not be in the same city, but it might all be in Saudi Arabia. Did you see somebody asked Adam Scher about being part about the Obafemi open challenge and his response was they can't afford me. Speaking of him That's because of his medical. Well, we also have a debut date for season two of everything on the menu, June 5. And apparently, that is when SmackDown will go back to two hours for the remainder of the calendar year. About for the remainder of ever? Ever. Please. I'm taking what I can get at this point. Yeah. Yeah. Here here's my one worry, Rob. You know, Khan said that they're not going to do back to back WrestleMania's ever Nick Khan. Clarify. Yeah. Nick Khan. Mhmm. What if Saudi Arabia does like you always say the the check and say, hey. Yeah. But, darn, what what do we always say? Card subject to change. If you heard me earlier when I said that, I said, let me know when that actually happened. Yeah. That's what thought you were kinda I just don't trust anything at all right now. I love that you love to repeat the stuff I just said. If you're on the club WWE waitlist, which I am. As am I. I put myself on it just because I wanna know. I just wanna see what happened. That's all. Because I I'm not committed to anything at this point. I know what I'm prepared to say no to. Don't get me wrong. We'll put it this way. If you're watching this, you know the exact reason why we're on that list. You can get 20% off tickets for Backlash Tampa, which is this Saturday. And in case you missed it, preshow starts at four eastern. Mhmm. Please starts at six eastern. Hour two of the preshow, hour one of the main show will be on the deuce. Now I wanna go back a little bit because But you know why this one's earlier. Right? Is there a UFC event Saturday night? Mhmm. Exact same night as a UFC pay per view. But they're not even pay per views anymore because that's all on Paramount plus though. Right? Right. But they still use the term pay per view. Oh, do they really? Okay. Yeah. They still use the term they're not getting cute with please. Don, you asked me a question last week. K. And I have the answer for you. Let's hear it. Because we're going inside the numbers, baby. Alright. So last week, Don and I did a deep dive into the numbers behind WrestleMania forty two. And Don asked me a question, and it got me intrigued. So as I was talking to a friend of the show, LA, on the on the phone the other day, and I'll have to tell you boys off there what caused this conversation because it I made him I I popped him pretty hard. So WrestleMania had an attendance over two nights of a 106,072. Asterisk. Just roll with you. I'm rolling with I'm rolling with you. With the preshow, it was a total of fourteen hours of programming that had 13 matches. Total bell to bell time, which we said last week, was two hours and forty eight minutes and twenty eight seconds, which was an average of eleven minutes and seventeen seconds per match. That was not the question Don asked me. Don asked me how that compares to AEW dynasty. Oh. And to Don's credit, one of the greatest questions that man has ever asked in the history of this show, because I went to the numbers, boys. Yeah. And I took both both sets of data came from Wikipedia. It's because I wanted to keep the data source consistent. Yes. AW Dynasty, which took place the weekend before Mania, six days before night one. Mhmm. Attendance of 9,136 with zero hour because we in this case, we have to count zero hour because there were matches on zero. Mhmm. Total of five and a half hours, same number of matches for all of WrestleMania. There were 13 matches. Mhmm. So in four in five and a half hours, total bell to bell match time for AEW Dynasty was three hours nine minutes and forty five seconds, Almost twenty minutes more for an average of fourteen minutes and thirty one seconds per match. That is almost that is over three minutes longer per match. Mhmm. See, not ask the question. It got my brain going. I was like, yeah. Need to go get through this because I'm gonna find I told him I said, like, here here's your here's your other, like, lazy math on top of all of this. Even if you round both to three hours, okay, you got 60% of your time is wrestling on AEW. If you do the exact same math, you're looking at three out of 14? Yeah. It was, like, 31% total. Less less than 25% at least. Well, programming proper, it was right at 31%. But what I'm but what I'm saying is comparatively between the two with lazy math. You're looking at 60% versus 20%. Right. But to keep the math honest, you have to take the six hours out of the preshow under normal circumstances because there was no matches. So you you have to have an apples to apples comparison. But but if if we're including it for both, we would remove it for both. But what I'm saying is is it is lazy math, but the point is it's still part of a wrestling program. So the pre show having no wrestling on it, screw you, that counts to the company. And to borrow the joke that's been getting shared around, it's like, oh, just in TKO has released wrestling from WWE. It'll now only be world entertainment. I was just like, oh my god. And then when I called Alex during the show, and I was like, hey. Let me pull your mind again. I think we brought this up last week that if you took all three women's matches mania Mhmm. Them, it still wasn't as long as Tony Storm versus And Monet. Monet at all in Texas. Like and I and the fact that you had commercial breaks after every match. And before. It was it was brutal. Alright. It was unbearable. 90% of that show was unbearable. And, Alex, I don't know if you heard this, but I was saying the time between matches was longer than the matches themselves. No. No. They absolutely were. Yeah. But you wanna know what this model is to me? It's the Kentucky Derby. Yeah. I hate the Kentucky Derby. Fastest one of the fastest two minutes in sports. Mhmm. Because you do hours and hours of nothing but waiting, and then it's over too quick. Yeah. I've always said blackjack and horse racing are the two fastest ways to lose your money. Outside of the fact that when Vegas started doing war at the gaming tables, I was like, that's just wrong. That is wrong on every level. SmackDown. So much joy because Miz and Dan Hausen have turned into the roadrunner and the coyote, and I am fully, fully here for it. I cannot keep a straight face whenever he's talking to Aldis, and he's just like, oh, you want me to disappear? And you can hear it like a cartoon walking off screen. I mean, they literally did the bird seed bit Yeah. With the with the briefcase of money. And when I first saw it, it had the arrow, and I was like Yep. Yep. If if you don't make this entire screen into pastels, I have a problem. Because it just oh, human I I just love human money. I don't know why that brings me so much joy. It just does. I just oh my god. I love his theme music. I love the Dan Hougen mobile. I love and the fact that the man has wrestled one match. And, nope, and it doesn't matter. He's only had no. I think he's only had one. I I think he's had one against Miz and one against Kit. Maybe Kit was does one this week. I don't know. But Miz was this week. I'll I'll take a look. I giggled like there was no tomorrow. I was like, please just keep doing this. Do something to amuse me. Raw. Tony Khan, I need you to hear me, please. I I I said what I said. I'm I'm listening. You may wanna put a copyright on trios matches. Because when Raw started up in the lower third, I understand what they were I knew what they were doing, but to call that six man a trios match, I was like, oh, wait a minute. That's not your term. And we got to meet Bruto and Julio. Hate this so much. I love this. No. No. No. I love this. Sir, one of us is watching AAAA. I know. Here's why I hate this. Take a show off. Well, no. No. No. The reason I hate this is because they were without the masks on AAAA, and suddenly they were with masks that didn't fit on Raw. And it wasn't funny. It's stupid. It made me giggle, and I'm not afraid to say it. Because it's it's just it's it's the constant back and forth of the parody that just brings me joy. It just does. So Danhausen has had two matches so far. Kit Wilson on the April 10 and then beating the Miz on the twenty fourth. Okay. Okay. NXT welcome Emily Asgard to the broadcast team. She did work a little bit of mania. Mhmm. And she did I like the segment that she did where she was, they they acted like they put the camera down. He's like, I know you're still recording, but it's okay. Like, I kind of like where that's going. Did either of you boys watch NXT? I did. A bits and pieces. You know those moments where you go, I never thought anyone would ever say those words again. In the opening match when Booker referenced new blood rising, I'm like, do you really want to invoke the name of that thing? That's our that's the second uncomfortable Booker T reference that I've heard this week. I mean, it's just like that do do we even talk about that era without parody anymore? So I was like, oh. Evil is now just surprised that we got past Raw without talking about the OBA match. You did send me a text. You said it was one of your favorite matches ever. Right? No. No. That was my favorite two minute match of all time because when you look at it, that was the perfect example of what should be getting shown at the PC or anywhere to people starting out of you got two minutes. Make it work. Tell the story. That uppercut from Oba genuinely made me swear lard loud enough that I think my neighbors heard, but the other part was telling the story of Otis being a larger human and how he had to adjust to be able to do his own thing despite being Oba. That dude just continues to be better and better, and I'm sure Heyman has a hand in it. But That was gonna be my next question. Is Heyman producing him? That was my next question. I I I would guess just based on how good it was. But telling the story of it being Tezawa to then, no. No. It's not Tezawa, to then having the horse fight was just, chef's kiss. If you're gonna do short matches, that's how you do it. To me, it had to be Otis. Mhmm. Because if it was Tezawa, nobody would have cared. Unless he landed in the second deck. That's the only way. Well You would have to have a home run dirty Tazawa. Coming off the match with Lesnar Mhmm. You have to maintain that. And it was the smart game. Evil is now Naruku. Did I say that correctly? Because I don't think they actually pronounce it. I am not a 100% certain on that. So adjust your roster accordingly. And we now know that the guy that Booker T referred to as a fan who is not a fan, he he is going by the name Mason Rook. This guy is coming very high. Will Cruz. Oh, he's gonna be Don's I'm I'm calling this right now. Don, this is going to be your favorite guy. He's big. He's bad. He'll body slam your dad. No. That's that's the chant. That's thing. Oh, really? Okay. So you gotta put it in the Ted Lasso format for me. Okay? Yeah. Well, Ted So where's he at right now? Did you say? He said NXT. He did beat on NXT. They cut off his promo at the end. Because with with the the Roy Kent cheer of he's big, he's bad, he'll body slam your dad, Dave. We'll cruise. We'll cruise. But now he's Plus, he kinda looks like Don. Okay. In the face, he does kinda look like Don. He's a he's a beast. Yeah. We wanna send our anything else on WWE before we move we move on, boys? I don't believe On that part, no. Okay. We wanna send our best out to Rebel from AEW. Mhmm. She has been diagnosed with terminal ALS. Oh god. Always been a fan of her former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Genuinely great person. Yeah. So we wanna send her our best out to her. They did a very nice, message to her on collision last week. Now last night was three hours because Saturday night's gonna be an hour because it's fairway to hell. So get ready for that. Just real quick, we had a Mance Warner appearance at Ring of Honor, so where he is now. But let's get into dynamite a little bit here, boys. I knew going in that they were going to do something for Turner because they announced it. This could not have been done better. You put Tony Schiavone in the ring who, if you're gonna have somebody talk about Turner, like, he's one of the few. Like, if you're not gonna Jay, I wish JR was there because JR could speak to it. But Shivani is really the only person active that was there was with Turner for 98% of the run. Because if you remember, he had a cup of coffee with WWF, and then he was right back to the NWA slash WCW. I I I appreciated that Shivani pointed out what's on those belts because I said that when they created them. I go, that's that's the mansion. And when he's I as soon as he said they were bringing somebody out, I knew who it was. There was no doubt in my mind. Because again, if you're gonna pick one guy, it's gotta be Steve Borden. It has to be. Mhmm. Because Sting was the guy. You know, it's it's why the ultimate dream match that fans have had for decades in their prime were Sting and HBK because they were the two stalwarts. If you don't count the undertaker, they were the two stalwarts. They were two top performers on question. Guys that never, they just never had the chance to overlap and sting telling the story of you just keep doing what you're doing because it got deep pockets. Mhmm. I love this. I love that when those bells started, that place went silent. Shout out to that crowd for that. I kind of wish maybe we'd we'd have some more vignettes through the night paying I would love to see you know, we have the Owen now. Maybe we have a Ted Turner invitational where both the TBS and TNT titles kind of like the continental classic. I would like to see something like that. Well, no. No. No. I would like to see it as well. I think the bigger problem why you don't or possibly couldn't have had vignettes or anything is Ted Turner, even in name in wrestling, went with the WCW deal. Oh, really? So I I if I am not mistaken, they won't they wouldn't be able to do anything that would have any kind of connection with it because of the ownership of it going with WCW from the promotional standpoint. And I loved every bit of that Ted Turner, but I I I I wanna pick a knit real quick. Go ahead. Because I know I know he's your leader, but the moment he decided to pivot into giving Tony Khan respect during Ted Turner's time, I took issue with it. Now I understand where he was coming from. I understand he was making a parallel, but I felt like that was what he felt was good emotionally, I thought it was in bad taste. I could see I could see that side of it. Mhmm. I didn't take it that way. I understand Sting's allegiance to Tony Khan. I do too. That's Tony Khan, he is and I it's weird that I'm gonna say this, but I'm gonna stand by it. He is Sting's redemption story. Mhmm. After the debacle that was his WWE run, and I contend that, that WrestleMania match is one of the worst possible things they could have done with him. Also, wrong guy went. All of all of the options you had for him, and that's what you went with at WrestleMania before the sun even went down, which made Triple H's entrance that much worse. Mhmm. I took it as it's Sting has an allegiance to the man, and I I can understand why you would take that differently, but I I honestly, I didn't. I think the white hair fits the look better. I love that he's still I still think it's weird that he calls Darby Allen his his favorite tag team partner ever because That feels uncomfortable. Yeah. I think Lex Luger like a word. I don't even like Darby, and I like Darby better than I like Lex Luger. Oh, but from being a tag team partner, they were a better Oh, no. I get you on that. But As long as he doesn't mention the other one. I think that I thought it was very well done overall. We'll just have to see where it goes from here. If anything as far as progress. Yeah. Yeah. That's really all I've got this week because other than that, it was very lackluster. We're gonna see we're gonna see a bald MJF in a few weeks. Why do you I didn't see it. What's going on with the So Darby Allen said he would only give MJF the rematch if MJF agreed that it Put his hair plugs on the line. It's title versus hair. So we're we're gonna we're gonna do, Kurt Angle with MJF. Well, I there have been some edits that have been put out about MJF going full Lex Luthor after this, and now I'm like, I kinda now want him to lose. Good. But, in that same scope, it's, it was pretty much an also ran kind of episode just because we have everything else for other avenues this weekend. So even AEW's b shows tend to put on pretty great deals. Like, obviously, we know Kevin Knight's not winning, but that was a solid match for the main event. Oh, yeah. They still need to have better time management, though. Oh god. They need time management, period. But at that same time, it's is what it is. We're gonna be running through it.
