Welcome to Stolen Water Media, LLC — a dynamic, Dallas-based podcast production company founded in 2024 by legendary Texas sports radio icon Mike Rhyner (aka "The Old Grey Wolf") and his talented partner Becca Moore, an accomplished executive producer, published writer, and private investigator.
Born from a shared passion for storytelling, authentic conversation, and the spirit of independent media, Stolen Water Media emerged as Mike transitioned from decades in traditional radio — including co-founding and starring on The Ticket's iconic Hardline show — into the exciting world of podcasting.
Frustrated with the constraints of old-school broadcasting, Mike teamed up with Becca to create something fresh: a platform that revives the best of talk radio while embracing the freedom and reach of today's digital landscape.
How It Started
We kicked things off by relaunching Mike's podcast Your Dark Companion on Patreon, where listeners could enjoy unfiltered, engaging content without the old limitations. YDC remains the flagship show of Stolen Water Media.
From there, we quickly expanded, creating Sunset Lounge — a sub-brand under Stolen Water Media that serves as a vibrant hub for our growing network of shows. Think of it like flipping through classic radio stations, but better.
